* During Yahtzee's Webcomics evisceration, when he tells prospective Webcomic failures about girlfriend templates, he was talking about [[TakeThat authors desiring an incestuous relationship]] with [[YourMom their mothers]].
* The ending of the ''WebAnimation/ZeroPunctuation'' review of ''Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X'' features Yahtzee and one of the imps holding up signs featuring ItWasHisSled moments. I was confused for a while about why he did that, and then found the point in the middle of the video where he says "I'm going to give away some spoilers, so if you're that bothered, stick your head in a bucket 'till the generic metal starts up." It still took a few moments to get the connection.
* In the captions over the end credits to his ''VideoGame/SilentHill2'' review, one of the jokes is "There was a critic here. He's gone now." At first it looks like a joking reference to the famous MemeticMutation line "There was a hole here. It's gone now." from the game itself. But it actually makes a lot of sense in context. Ordinarily, Yahtzee's a critic in the harshest sense of the word, who runs on AccentuateTheNegative and puts down games as nastily as possible. For this video, however, the "critic" part of him is gone because he just wants to gush about a game he loves and ignore its faults.
* Taking his beautiful line about ''VideoGame/HaloWars''.
** [-"We lost contact!" went the character... [[PunctuatedForEmphasis BULL. FUCKING. SHIT.]] (the words "[[GoshDangitToHeck WHAT. ARBITRARY. SILLINESS.]]" appear in synchrony with his swearing). All possible threats were dead! We didn't lose contact - I was looking at them - They were RIGHT. FUCKING. THERE! They were so close we could communicate by '''waggling our eyebrows at each other'''! What the fuck happened when the stupid arbitrary time limit ran out!? Did their ''Film/BattleRoyale'' collars explode!? Did they lose honor and disembowel themselves? '''WHAT'''?!"\
And just to put the cherry on it, you know who they were? ''Absolutely bloody no one!'' Generic faceless ''pricks'' of the sort I'd vat-grown about ''fifty of'' that day alone! But we didn't make it in time, so they were going to make me do the '''''whole fucking mission again!'''''\
As the exasperated Chinese zookeeper said to the last male panda in the world, '''FUCK! THAT!'''-]
** It shows Yahtzee as a master player, able to breeze through many a games in his path. But should something make him fuck up in where it is hard to do such, [[BerserkButton he'll lose it.]] Games like VideoGame/DarkSouls however, show that he prefers a hard challenging game as well
** [-Now that I am in the zone,I'm going to be fucking ruined at the usual standard of game difficulty. I'm going to have to play the new {{VideoGame/Thief}} game with a lobster on each bollock.-]
* During his ''VideoGame/{{Bioshock 2}}'' review, he claimed that the [[PressXToNotDie Quick Time Events]] improve on the gameplay, stating that "The universe is about to explode". Come ''VideoGame/MortalKombatX'', and he hasn't mentioned Quick Time Events in that game. While you think he hasn't noticed, two things confirm that he thought similarly: One is of how he went to do Story mode, and according to his ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamAsylum'' review, that anything he doesn't mention in his reviews is a good part of the game.
* Yahtzee in particular is a very harsh critic, showing next to no mercy to nearly everything that dares stand in his way. However, strong emotional choices (''VideoGame/SpecOpsTheLine'') and truthful horror (''Franchise/SilentHill'') can pierce right through him like a javelin and make him show his sensitive side, which can throw many a watcher off. However, he will back away if the emotional choice is not strong enough (''VideoGame/OriAndTheBlindForest'' and ''VideoGame/MortalKombatX'') or if the “horror” is just about being extreme tense while waiting for jump scares and doesn’t affect him emotionally (''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys'').
* A minor one in his review of ''VideoGame/DriverSanFrancisco'' when he remarked the amounts of ramps and car carriers in the game has the sweet jumps being the local currency. He was quite literal in that jumps actually reward Willpower Points, the local currency of the game.
* Yahtzee’s trophy choices for the worst games of 2017 actually correspond strongly with the games themselves. A Brussels sprout is used for VideoGame/TheSurge, which the game writers say is good but leaves a bad taste in your mouth. A mousetrap is used for VideoGame/OutlastII, which is a horror game that disgusted Yahtzee rather than scared him. A slug is used for VideoGame/DeadRising4, which came out at the end of the previous year. A turd is used for VideoGame/SonicForces, which started out as good ideas by Sega but got ruined after being digested by Sonic Team. And [[spoiler:Ajit Pai]] is used for VideoGame/SniperGhostWarrior3, which Yahtzee considered [[SoBadItsGood so bad that he came back around to feeling positive about it]].

* Watch his review of ''VideoGame/FarCry3'', play the game, and then watch it again. He briefly mocks the characters' whining, complete with an image of one of them saying "my bum hurts." [[spoiler: This seemingly innocuous joke becomes much, ''much'' darker when you realize that this is a reference to when Buck was raping his prisoner.]]
