2	* There are so many references to ''Series/TheDickVanDykeShow'' on ''Series/TheNanny'' because the actress who plays Yetta also played Millie on TDVDS.
3	* Maxwell was so oblivious to C.C.'s obvious interest in him because, since she's always been obsessed with him, she likely has always acted this way. As far as he's concerned she's just acting normal and probably just thinks she's kidding around, especially since she would have acted like that while he was married.

6	* Why does Sylvia nag Fran about giving her grandchildren when Fran's sister has two daughters? It'd make sense if she said she wanted more, but sometimes the way she talks, you would have thought she had no grandkids at all. But as you re-watch the series, it makes sense: Fran is the Favorite child while her older sister Nadine is the child who was conceived and pushed along the ShotgunWedding Fran's parents needed. There were times where Sylvia made it clear she didn't like her bratty grandchildren from Nadine. Also that same episode where Nadine competed for the attention of Mr. Sheffield was due to the fact that Sylvia always paid more attention to Fran growing up.
7	* The going theme between Fran and C.C. was that C.C. was always considered the more classy of the two, while Fran was more of an outlandish person in comparison. However, throughout the series, no matter how rude C.C. was to Fran, she never insulted her back, nor did she ever talk down to her. It could be because Niles did the job for her and she found it extremely funny, but Fran has been nothing but respectful to her. The only time she ever gotten angry at her was early on in ''Here Comes the Brood'', where C.C. insinuated to the kids that Fran only takes care of them as a job, which greatly affected Gracie, at which point Fran went full [[MamaBear Mama Bear]] on her, but never raised her voice and still kept it respectful. Fran has always taken the high road and even still considers C.C. a friend, no matter how much it annoys her, showing more class than C.C. ever would in the show.
8	* Jocelyn's behavioral shift from being nice to Fran, to subtly hating her guts makes sense if you look back to what happened since they first met. It was Fran's idea that she marry Lester, who she would later divorce due to societal differences. She probably blames Fran for that mistake and wants to prevent Maxwell from making a similar one.

11	* Okay, so C.C. and Niles marry as Fran is delivering her children because C.C. felt strange since Niles proposed. And guess what? It turns out C.C. is pregnant! Sure, it sounds dandy now, but we learn this ''after'' Fran's water breaks in the elevator and we briefly see C.C. [[OneDrinkWillKillTheBaby drinking from a small bottle typically used for alcohol.]]
12	** You think that's bad? She had also been smoking not five minutes prior!
