So it makes sense that Ireland would be most interested in reminding England that he doesn't speak for him, specifically since the Ireland in the comics is a personification of the Republic of Ireland.
6	* Denmark is probably scared of nature because he wasn't created by mother nature but by Norway. This also might explain why the ocean doesn't frighten him, because he was born from sand and sea.

This makes sense, because while just as devastated by the war as the other countries, [[KnowWhenToFoldEm Italy was the only one sane enough to kick out the dictator (who actually made sure he could be deposed with little fuss) and switch sides]]: he was the sanest to begin with, and managed to end on the winning side and get less psychological trauma.
12	* Finland inviting his Nordic neighbors into his sauna becomes a lot more heartwarming if you know that in Finland being invited into a sauna is considered a great honor.

15	* In [[https://satwcomic.com/we-should-be-friends one strip]], Norway introduced Jan Mayen to the others as his "friend", Sweden commented that he looked dead. In a [[https://satwcomic.com/boys-are-such-weirdos later strip]], it was revealed that Norway and Jan Mayen were [[KissingCousins cousins who were in an incestuous relationship]], and that Jan Mayen got killed for it. [[spoiler: Norway is keeping the corpse of his dead lover/cousin somewhere in his house.]]
16	** Less horrific, the comic where he introduces Jan Mayen was set before Jan Mayen was killed.
17	* Much more horrifically, in [[https://satwcomic.com/great-concern another strip]], Sweden, Aland, Sister Sweden, Finland, Sister Finland, Fennoswede, and Scania all take a family photo for Grandpa North, who is the grandfather of all the Nordic countries. Which would mean that among the Nordic countries, Fennoswede is definitely a product of incest, as he is Sister Finland's and Sweden's child, Sister Sweden and Finland are in an incestuous relationship, Sweden and Aland are in an incestuous relationship, Sweden and Sister Finland are in a completely horrific incestuous relationship which is implied to be non-consensual, i.e. rape, and because Grandpa North is also implied to be Denmark's grandfather, and is also Scania's father, Scania is also heavily implied to be a child of incest. It appears Norway engaged in incest the least, only having sex with Jan Mayen and Denmark.
18	** Vinland appears twice in the cartoon series. [[https://satwcomic.com/babysitter Vinland is the child of Iceland]], and represents the short-lived Viking colony founded on the east coast of what is now Canada and the USA. The living children of the other Scandinavian nations demand to know why they've never met Vinland before (and stop being so naughty they are driving Iceland, their babysitter, to distraction.) Iceland then brings out the urn with the cremated ashes in it and advises the children that his ''other'' child was called "Original Settlers On Greenland", but it would mean digging up the grave.
