Meen writes, one of which is a note to his crush, so it's possible that he wasn't allowed in some professions due to his "lack of good grammar", and in an act of extreme rage, he wants to take his revenge by imprisoning people who're good at studying. He likely kidnaps children who study specifically because he wants to stop them before they widely-spread their goodie-goodie grammar out to the public.
