* I've been thinking of the ''Water Orb'' Saga and came to this conclusion: TheHero is actually [[HeWhoFightsMonsters terrified of themselves]] and the sheer power they'd wield if they were drunk on {{the dark side}}, which is why [[spoiler: there's a MirrorMatch halfway through.]]
** Which puts the Cryptic training mission into perspective...
* In Book 2, during the Rising Fire war, a quest titled "Xan Hates Imps" loads the Xan Armor and basically shows Xan running around killing imps that are coming from another world simply because [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin he hates them]]. Since Xan is a crazy Pyromancer who's physically surrounded by healing fire, it's possible he is just acting like his usual crazy self or might simply want to get rid of the competition. [[spoiler: In the "Alexander's Diary" quest line, one of the ways Warlic used Alex's fear of fire against him was through summoning fire monsters from another world to attack him, including a good number of imps. Xan most likely still remembers the torment these imps used to cause him, so he's merely enacting retribution for past wrongs.]]
* The deliciously evil Doom weapons can be purified into the less evil but still useful Destiny weapons. Furthermore, Two of them share the same effect and similar wording of that effect ("Hahahahah! Engulfed by DOOM!" vs "Hahahaha! Engulfed by destiny!"). The conneciton is apt, as doom can also mean "fate or destiny, particularity an adverse one." They Destiny/Doom weapons are literally two sides of the same coin.

* [[spoiler: What could have happened if the [[BloodKnight Death Knights]] hadn't rescued you from being {{Mind Rape}}d by Kathool Atchoo]]?
* [[spoiler:Grams may or may not be dead after the crash. Considering all the water-breathing potions, it's guaranteed that she won't drown, but that wouldn't stop her from being crushed under all the rubble]].
* During the 2010 and 2011 Mogloween events, you have to kill a ''lot'' of Zardbies, all of whom used to be normal innocent people. Including ''children''. Even worse, the condition is reversible but you still have no choice but to ShootTheDog.
** Similarly enough, we learn in Nythera's storyline that [[spoiler:she was the one who created the Sneevils, the box-obsessed race of goblins that the player [[{{Mooks}} comes across regularly throughout the game]], by casting a spell on a group of children.]] Her parents mentioned that although they were able to them up and turn them back, they weren't even sure if they had found them all, and given how often you run into and forced to take down said [[spoiler:Sneevils]], well...
* [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou Your Name]] on an abandoned tombstone in the Necropolis Saga. What does it actually say? [[spoiler: Rest in Pieces]]!
** The epilogue of chapter 2 makes this fate ''even'' harsher: TheHero becomes a [[spoiler: literal HumanPopsicle]] after rescuing someone! Cue a likely AndIMustScream scenario.
** You actually do scream. Chances are, you've been screaming for a long time.
** [[spoiler: WordOfGod states that during Jaania's hundreds of years inside her crystal, she was aware of what was going on around her. The Hero may not have spent as much time trapped in a crystal as she did, but the AndIMustScream scenario is still a horrifying prospect to go through.]]
* Both Vaal and Roirr BodySurf through the Weaving Saga, doomed to [[StableTimeLoop repeat the same horrific cycle of events]] for all eternity. Can you say that is truly a FateWorseThanDeath for both of them?
* [[spoiler: Sepulchure was corrupted and transformed by his armor and Doom weapon. The Hero can get similar gear from the Doomknight Package. You can pay over sixty dollars to repeat the same mistakes that started Book 1. We even have a dragon that can be named Fluffy.]]
