But that can't have been entirely to keep the food they were hoarding from being eaten, because they knew they were out of food. Well, here's the thing. When Finn and Jake shout to them, they respond flatly with "Go away. No food here." At first blush, this seems to be saying to go away because they have no food, but that doesn't make much sense, as they were likely expecting food to be delivered. Instead, what they really meant was, "Go away, don't bring any food in here." The Lemongrabs KNOW that they ''can not'' stop making children, they outright tell Finn and Jake this. They were keeping themselves locked away from the food they had requested be brought to the castle, so that their children would be fed and they wouldn't be able to get a hold of it and make more children. They were ''not'' expecting seeds to be brought. The seeds would likely not have helped their situation, anyway, as food plants take time to grow. Presumably, the princess sent the seeds because, as is implied by her response to the letter, she thought they were bullshitting being out of food. |
| 151 | * The somewhat contrived character development that the Lemongrabs received in "All Your Fault," going from antisocial [[ChildHater child haters]] to [[BumblingDad loving, adorable fathers]]. However, the fact that they ''are'' good, if not merely compassionate, parents is not surprising, from a psychological standpoint. To him, it was like gazing into a mirror and witnessing his own flaws. As a result, he becomes much more subdued, not raising his voice nor objecting to his cruel treatment from his brother's hands because he believes he deserves to be punished out of guilt. |

His relationship with Flame Princess fell apart, and his long-term crush on Princess Bubblegum was finally quashed, mainly due to his own screwups. In the previous episode, Finn expresses a desire to just go back to rescuing princesses instead of getting emotionally involved with them. He's not good at relationships. But he's really good at killing things. That's why he stayed on the train. And all those other Adventurers probably had similar stories. They're not trapped there. Jake proved that the doors aren't even locked. They stayed by choice, content to just kill monsters and collect treasure for all eternity, because that's the only thing that they were good at. The kind of people who become Adventurers are emotionally damaged people, who seek out battle and glory because they're not able to live normal lives. No wonder Billy lived alone in a cave. |

She also displays several signs of having PTSD from being possessed and nearly killed by the Lich, and really fears the possibility of dying and leaving her kingdom under the rule of a dangerous tyrant (be it Lemongrab or Goliad). Given all these above factors, it's no shock that Bubblegum's workload must really be straining her mentally and emotionally. Hopefully, she doesn't snap in frustration. |
