''Road to Hell'' is a FanSequel to ''Film/StreetsOfFire'', directed by Creator/AlbertPyun and written by Cynthia Curnan.

Set 29 years after the original, it deals with Tom Cody returning to Edge City in search of his lost love, Ellen, who he left behind in search of more adventures. Now a broken, violent man who kills on a whim, he travels in the hopes she can save him from his demons--but he's stopped by two seductive spree killers, Caitlin and Ashe, who oppose his efforts at seeking redemption. Cody soon learns that finding Ellen and saving himself isn't as easy as he thought.

The film features original music by Tony Riparetti and the Roxy Gunn Project, with Roxy playing the role of Ellen; Michael Pare and Deborah Van Valkenburgh reprise their roles from the original film as Cody and his sister Reva.

While an unfinished version was screened in 2008, the writers tweaked the script to add the character of Ellen Dream and Roxy Gunn's music, and additional scenes continued to be filmed. The final cut of the film had a late 2013 release date, and was released on DVD and Blu-Ray in 2019.

----
!! This film contains examples of:

* AntiHero: Tom Cody isn't a hero and he'll be the first to tell you. He leaves people at the drop of a hat, he kills people when he's challenged and his desire to find Ellen is more a desire to save his own soul than anything else.
* AntiVillain: Ashe comments that Caitlin scares her at times and she wants out of all the killing, but is too scared to leave her.
* AxCrazy: Caitlin kills for the sake of it and loves the thrill it gets her.
* BloodierAndGorier: While ''Streets of Fire'' had some blood here and there, this movie is ''much'' more violent, with dead bodies, ''lots'' of blood, and visceral wounds.
* CallBack: "If you need anything, I'll be there."
** [[spoiler: The end to the movie has Cody leave, just like in the first one]].
* CityWithNoName: While it had no name in the original, here its name is Edge City.
* ChromaKey: Much of the movie was filed via greenscreen, with surreal, too-bright tones to create an otherworldly atmosphere.
* DarkerAndEdgier: This is a much, much darker film than its predecessor, with serial killers, themes of damnation and a far more hopeless sense than ''Streets of Fire.'' [[spoiler:Until the ending.]]
* DeadGuyJunior: [[spoiler: Ellen Dream]] is Ellen Aim's long-lost daughter and shares her first name.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler:Though Tom's quest to find Ellen is doomed to failure from the start, he is finally able to meet his daughter Ellen Dream and realizing his errors, he atones for his sins by killing Caitlin and Ashe, avenges Ellen by killing Billy and reconnects with said daughter.]]
* FallenHero: Cody tries to get out of this status by finding Ellen to reconcile with her, and Ellen Dream's song "Where Her Heroes Lie" is about this applying to him.
* FanSequel: The film is an unofficial sequel to ''Streets of Fire'', taking place 29 years after that film's end.
* HypocriticalHumor: Ashe calls ''Tom'' a psycho when she and Caitlin are both spree killers.
* IWillWaitForYou: Cody comes back from the war to find Ellen...by waiting for her on the edge of the City.
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:None of Cody's murders were ever pinned on him, leaving him free to tour with Ellen and her band]].
* LeaveYourQuestTest: Caitlin and Ashe try to tempt Tom back into his murderous ways and abandon his quest to find Ellen, with Caitlin seeing him as her soulmate.
* MentalWorld: Reva explains that Cody lives in his own world, and it's implied that much of the film takes place in a purgatory dimension.
* MrExposition:
** The angel Gabriel narrates the film and explains the concept of the purgatory Cody finds himself locked in, and her efforts to save Cody.
** The police radio and interviews explain a lot about the film, including Caitlin and Ashe's backstories, Cody's motivations, and what happened in the intervening years.
* ParentalAbandonment: Cody never realized Ellen Aim was pregnant when he left and has never made an attempt to connect with Ellen Dream as a result.
* PsychoLesbian: Caitlin and Ashe are former strippers who are into each other, and also professional serial killers.
* PunchClockVillain: Ashe seems to be just along for the ride, unlike Caitlin who's ''really'' into killing.
* ReCut: The 2012 version was extensively revised to add the angel Gabriel as narrator to the film and introduced Ellen Dream's role and songs.
* TheReveal: Not only is [[spoiler: Ellen Dream Tom Cody's daughter, Caitlin is Raven's daughter]].
* RuleOfSymbolism:
** 66.6 Radio from Purgatory, USA, Highway 66; the road being described as the road between Purgatory and Hell...
** According to the director, Caitlin represents the modern world that Cody doesn't understand and can't fit into.
* SoProudOfYou: Just look at Cody's face when Ellen Dream sings her mother's songs. Michael Pare sells every bit of pride and love Cody has in the daughter.
* ShadowArchetype: Caitlin is what Cody would be if he gave in to his darker side completely, as she relishes her kills and cares only about self-gratification.
* SoundtrackDissonance: "Where Have All the Heroes Gone", a love ballad, plays over [[spoiler: Tom betraying Ellen's memory for Caitlin]].
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Caitlin and Ashe's outfits leave ''very'' little to the imagination. Justified as they were members of a strip club.
* SuddenSequelDeathSyndrome: [[spoiler: [=McCoy=] and Ellen Aim are both dead, the former having betrayed Tom and died as a result. The latter is murdered at the behest of a jealous Billy Fish]].
* SuddenSequelHeelSyndrome: Apparently, [=McCoy=], who tried to stop Tom from finding Ellen. Not to mention Billy Fish of all people who had Ellen murdered in a jealous fury.
* TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt: Gabriel claims that if she's unable to save Cody's soul, Armageddon will arrive with nothing able to stop it.
* TheVamp: Caitlin uses her sex appeal to try and seduce Cody away from his self-appointed mission.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: [[spoiler:Caitlin's baby daughter]] is never seen again after the single scene she appears in.
* WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue: The ending title cards reveal [[spoiler:Cody killed Billy Fish and was disappointed Caitlin had already gotten to Raven, and since he was never pinned down for the murders he toured with Ellen and her band]].
* WouldHitAGirl: Cody slaps Ashe across the face to quiet her, and he has no problem killing her and Caitlin later on.
