''P2'' is a 2007 {{horror}} film directed by Franck Khalfoun, written by Creator/AlexandreAja, and starring Creator/RachelNichols and Creator/WesBentley.

Angela is a young businesswoman [[HorrorDoesntSettleForSimpleTuesday stuck working late at the office on Christmas Eve]]. When she finally decides to head home to a family Christmas gathering, [[MyCarHatesMe she unfortunately finds that her car won't start]], even after help from Thomas, the only security guard left on duty. Thomas, who will be stuck in the building over the three-day Christmas break, invites Angela to have Christmas dinner with him; [[NotGoodWithRejection to his chagrin, she rejects his offer]]. With no other choice left, Angela calls a taxi, but when it arrives, she realizes the doors to the lobby are locked. Angela heads back down to the {{parking garage}} to find Thomas so that he may open the doors for her. However, once she reaches P2, the lights begin to shut off, [[StalkerWithACrush allowing Thomas to sneak up on Angela]] and [[InstantSedation knock her out cold with chloroform]]. When Angela wakes up, she finds herself chained to a table and [[CaptiveDate forced into accepting Thomas's dinner invitation]].

!!This film contains examples of:
* AndYourLittleDogToo: Angela, post [[TookALevelInBadass taking a level in badass]], has no qualms about killing Rocky, Thomas's aggressive Rottweiler, in self-defense. After she does so, Thomas, who was highly unsettled before, rapidly descends into VillainousBreakdown mode.
* AngryGuardDog: Rocky, Thomas's Rottweiler, who manages to bite Angela's leg.
* AssholeVictim: Jim is painted as this by Tom, who saw him drunkenly make a very unwelcome advance at Angela during an office Christmas party. While Angela was very cold to him when he apologized for his actions earlier in the film, she tried to persuade Tom not to hurt him, not wanting him die because of her, while also considering that the man has a family.
* AxCrazy: Thomas becomes increasingly unstable and murderous throughout the night, murdering another guard and ramming Jim with a car over and over.
* BerserkButton: Angela's got a few, including seeing the video of Thomas feeling her up when she was unconscious and Thomas [[CountryMatters calling her the c-word]], leading to...
** For Tom, he dislikes how Angela calls out his name like she is some helplesss victim.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: When Angela finally has enough of Thomas, she gets ''vicious'', [[spoiler:ultimately setting a gasoline leak on fire with a Taser to kill Thomas]].
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Male example. Thomas seems like an eager and helpful NiceGuy at first, but becomes more and more of a desperate psychopath as he loses control over Angela.
* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler: Angela manages to kill Thomas and escape the parking garage, albeit physically injured and mentally scarred, as police and paramedics arrive.]]
* CacophonyCoverUp: When the police arrive and patrol the levels of the parking garage, Thomas blasts Christmas music over the speakers to [[spoiler:drown out Angela's screams for help from the trunk of a car]].
* CaptiveDate: Thomas's intentions for Angela. Takes a turn for the worse though once she manages to escape.
* CellPhonesAreUseless: Angela would be fine if only she could call the policeā€¦but there's no signal. Justified in that she's in an underground parking lot.
* CombatStilettos: Subverted. Before making a break from the car while Thomas is [[spoiler:ramming Jim's body into the wall]], Angela slips off her heels. She spends the rest of the movie running around barefoot.
* CountryMatters: Thomas, demonstrating just how insane he is, decides that the best time to use this insult is when the woman he's been terrorizing all night is [[spoiler:walking away with his taser after cuffing him to a wrecked car that's leaking gasoline]]. Predictably, this is the final straw that provokes Angela into [[spoiler:using the taser to ignite the gasoline]].
* DrowningPit: Thomas's method of coercing Angela out of the elevator.
* EntitledToHaveYou: Thomas is lonely and has a crush on Angela, which he thinks makes it OK for him to drug, kidnap, and terrorize her in an attempt to get her to be with him.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Thomas unravels even further after his dog (which was possibly the closest thing that he had to a friend) is killed.
* ExtremelyShortTimespan: The film takes place over a single Christmas Eve night.
* EyeScream: After [[spoiler: losing the game of chicken against Thomas, Angela [[PlayingPossum Plays Possum]], and when Thomas checks on her to see if she's okay, she jams a sharp object into his eye]].
* {{Fanservice}}[=/=]FanDisservice: Rachel Nichols spends nearly the whole film running around in just a white dress with her impressive cleavage on display...while being chased around a deserted parking garage by a creepy, evil security guard with a gun and a Rottweiler, getting bloodied up and dirtier in the process.
* FinalGirl: [[spoiler: Angela manages to outlive her captor as well as her co worker.]]
* ForInconveniencePressOne: After escaping to the car rental area of the garage, Angela dials 911, only for an automated message to appear. She then has to wait several minutes to speak with an operator, as the lines are busy, even though it's late at night, ''on Christmas Eve when most people are at home.''
* GoGoEnslavement: Although not as {{Stripperific}} as it could be, the dress that Thomas puts Angela in before she wakes up is very low cut, allowing for [[{{Fanservice}} a spectacular display of cleavage]].
* HorrorDoesntSettleForSimpleTuesday: The Christmas variant.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Thomas sees Jim as a pervert for drunkenly attempting to force himself on Angela at a Christmas party, which he feels justifies him to beat up for Angela. By this point, Tom had undressed Angela while she was unconscious before putting her into a sexy evening gown. And if that's not bad enough, Angela later discovers a video of him fondling her clothed body while she was unconscious.
* IHaveYouNowMyPretty: Acknowledged later in the film. Angela stumbles in on a video of Thomas feeling her up after having dressed her. Sets off one of her [[BerserkButton Berserk Buttons]].
* InstantSedation: Thomas uses a rag and chloroform to knock out Angela. She's out within a minute and stays asleep long enough for him to dress and chain her up and set the table.
* LongHairIsFeminine: Thomas seems to think so. After he knocks Angela and changes her clothes, he undoes her hair bun, letting her hair hang loose by the time she wakes up.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy: On one hand, there's Thomas, who's unrequited affection for Angela turns him into a StalkerWithACrush; On the flip side, Angela, due to being on the receiving end of this, reaches levels of homicidal rage.
* MagicalSecurityCam: Averted. The footage on the security cameras are from a single angle and are badly lit.
* MatchlightDangerRevelation: While going through the parking garage, Angela trips and drops her cell phone. As she picks it up, the light from the screen illuminates her stalker and now kidnapper, who proceeds to knock her out and drag her away.
* MsFanservice: After being knocked unconscious by Thomas, Angela would later awaken to find herself wearing a gorgeous white evening gown, with a [[ImpossiblyLowNeckline plunging neckline]] that gives a spectacular display of her [[AbsoluteCleavage impressive]] [[BuxomBeautyStandard bust size]].
* MyCarHatesMe: Angela's BMW. Justified in that it's implied that Thomas sabotaged it so Angela would be stuck in the building during Christmas Eve.
* NotGoodWithRejection: Thomas, of the StalkerWithACrush variety, veering into AxCrazy.
* ParkingGarage: The setting of the film, filmed in an actual parking garage as a bonus.
* PlayingPossum: Performed by [[spoiler:Angela]] after a game of chicken, allowing [[spoiler:her to [[EyeScream stab Thomas in the eye]], grab his keys to uncuff herself, and then cuff him to the car door]].
* PoliceAreUseless: Angela manages to get a signal long enough to call 911. When the cops arrive, they drive around the parking garage to see if anything is amiss. However, they don't find anything wrong, since [[spoiler:Angela has been tased and locked in a trunk]].
* PreMortemOneLiner: "Merry Christmas, [[spoiler:Thomas]]."
* SadisticChoice: Thomas gives Angela two choices in dealing with Jim, a coworker who drunkenly attempted to rape Angela after a Christmas party: she can beat him to a bloody pulp or Thomas can ram Jim with his car.
* SchlubbyScummySecurityGuard: Thomas is a psychotic security guard who is obsessed with Angela. After she "rejects" him on Christmas Eve, he holds her captive and clearly plans to rape and likely kill her. He also kills a guy who groped her at the Christmas party.
* SexySoakedShirt: The elevator scene. Thomas floods the elevator with a fire hose when Angela stops it between floors, and [[{{Squick}} throws a dead body in for good measure]] in order to drive Angela out and back into the parking lot, soaked and chilly.
* StalkerWithACrush: Thomas, who kidnaps Angela to hold a CaptiveDate with her, where he reveals he's been watching and recording her through the CCTV in the office block.
* StalkingIsLove: Thomas expects Angela to be attracted to him, even after he kidnaps her, chases her through the parking lot, [[spoiler:kills two of her coworkers, locks her in the trunk of a car, and sics his dog on her]].
* TheLastStraw: After all the hell Thomas puts her through, Angela is still willing to leave him cuffed and injured, but alive...until he makes the mistake of [[BerserkButton calling her the c-word.]]
* TooDumbToLive: Thomas learns the hard way what happens when you shout vulgar insults at taser-wielding woman, whom you've managed to terrorize into batshit levels of insanity, while you're handcuffed to a car that's leaking gasoline.
* TookALevelInBadass: Angela. After failing to call the police or escape from the parking garage, Angela is driven to knock out the security cameras with an axe, [[spoiler:escape from a locked trunk with only a crowbar, kill Thomas's dog with said crowbar, and steal a car and end up in a game of chicken with Thomas. This isn't even counting her PlayingPossum, cuffing Thomas to the car after partially blinding him and choking him out, and finally setting him on fire with gasoline and a taser when he calls her a cunt]].
* UndressingTheUnconscious: After Angela is chloroformed and kidnapped by Thomas, she wakes up wearing a white evening gown.
* VillainousBreakdown: Not that Thomas was all there to begin with, but once Angela [[spoiler: kills his dog]], he rapidly and completely loses whatever sanity he ''might'' have had.
* WakingUpElsewhere: Angela, twice. Once in the security office after Thomas kidnaps her. Another time when Thomas tases her and [[spoiler:she ends up in the trunk of a car]].
