Dragonetti the Ruthless Contract Killer is the prequel to Die Zombiejäger, focusing on the character Claudio Dragonetti. The film had a (relative) BigBudgetBeefUp, the first film costing 20.000 SEK and "Dragonetti" costing 100.000 SEK. The film follows the activites of the hitman Dragonetti, leading up to his appearance in Die Zombiejäger.

The stuntmen who made Film/Sector236TheWrathOfThor, provided stunts for this film in return for director Jonas Wolcher providing special effects for the former. Another film focusing on Claudio Dragonetti has been announced.

----
!! The following tropes apply to Dragonetti the Ruthless Contract Killer:

* ActionGirl: Elena, the female spetsnaz.
* AscendedExtra: Dragonetti was hardly more than a sidecharacter in Die Zombiejäger. This film focuses soly on him, the hunter from the first film does not appear and only three other characters (The Zombiemaster, Hans and Knud Mortensen) from the first film appear in this installment.
* AntiHero: Dragonetti is supposed to be an antihero, but he is so unlikable that the audience might end up rooting for Ivan.
* ArtifactOfDoom: The idol that is the home of the demon, and looks like a mix between a dildo and the pick of destiny.
* AxCrazy: Dragonetti goes into a killing frenzy and slaughters dozens of people at the restaurant.
%%* BigBudgetBeefUp
* BigBadFriend: Dragonetti and Ivan are this to each other.
* CaptainObvious: Ivan tells Patrik that 2 million SEK are missing from the registry, Patrik says "that's a lot of money".
* CelebrityParadox: Roland stands in his shop and puts pricetags on copies of Die Zombiejäger. Likely a inside joke.
* CelibacyHero: Dragonetti seems to have no interest in women (or men) at all.
* ChefOfIron: At least the cook tries to be this...
* ColdBloodedTorture: 187 tortures Dragonetti.
* DeathOfAChild: Dragonetti performs a abortion on Andrea with his hand.
* DemonicPossession: Dragonetti is possesed by a demon which renders him unkillable.
%%* FireForgedFriends: Dragonetti and Ivan used to be that.
* ForegoneConclusion: Dragonetti will survive the film, as he is alive in Die Zombiejäger.
* Foreshadowing: When Dragonetti enters the shop a newspaper headline tells of a girl who has died from a mysterious disease, foreshadowing the zombie outbreak in Die Zombiejäger. Or this could just be a happy accident.
%%* EliteMooks: The Spetsnaz.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Ivan is a ruthless Russian mobster, but he thinks Dragonetti's killing of innocents is wrong.
* EyeScream: Dragonetti rips out a guy's eye during the Restaurant Massacre.
%%* Gorn: When Dragonetti kills Andrea.
%%* GratuitousItalian: Claudia Dragonetti.
%%* GratuitousRussian: Ivan and his Spetsnaz.
* InvincibleHero: Dragonetti cannot die due to being possessed. This is not a goof, however, , since there is a third film under way.
%%* IntrepidReporter: Knut Mortensen.
* IOwnThisTown: Invoked by Ivan, who yells it across the river when he prepares his final plan to take out Dragonetti.
* JitterCam: Not as bad as in Die Zombiejäger.
* LargeHam: "Det här är min stad! Mitt Göteborg!"
** Ivan is like this all the time.
* LetMeAtHim: 187 wants to take on Dragonetti, but Ivan does not want him to, presumably because he does not want to risk his most loyal enforcer.
* TheMafiya: Ivan, the russian mobster with spetnaz connections and a military history in Kosovo.
* ManOnFire: A man is set on fire by Dragonetti during the Restaurant Massacre.
%%* NoNameGiven: 187.
* OhCrap: Towards the end, a grenade is thrown at Dragonetti and he survives it unscathed. That is when Miguel, Ivan's last remaining henchman, runs away.
* ProfessionalKiller: Dragonetti, 187 and the Spetsnaz are all hired killers.
* PsychoForHire: Dragonetti is a freelance contractor for murder. He does not care who he works for and is simply in for the money. It's hard to tell if he is into killing people, or it's the demon that possessed him. At times he enjoys killing people, at other times he just seems annoyed.
* ToBeContinued: The film ends with a text explaining that the story will continue in Die Zombiejäger and that film "picks up" where Dragonetti "left off".
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: What Dragonetti does after Ivan had him tortured. Because Dragonetti shot Ivan in the arm, destroyed his restaurant and killed a bar full of innocent people.
* RootingForTheEmpire: Many people will likely root for Ivan rather than Dragonetti.
%%* SociopathicHero: Dragonetti.
* TheDragon: 187, Ivan's best friend and most loyal henchman.
* VillainHasAPoint: Ivan better qualifies as the hero of the film than Dragonetti. While Ivan is mostly angry at Dragonetti for shooting him in the arm, he thinks that Dragonetti is insane (which he is) for killing bystanders for no reason. Ivan is right for wanting to kill Dragonetti, as Dragonetti is a much bigger threat than he is.
* VillainProtagonist: Dragonetti. Ivan, the actual "villain", actually qualifies as an AntiHero because he actually has standards and thinks of Dragonetti killing innocent bystanders as monstrous.
* ViolenceIsDisturbing: The killing of Andrea, the torture of Dragonetti and the botched execution of the prostitute.
%%* ViolenceIsTheOnlyOption:
* WouldHitAGirl: Both Dragonetti and Ivan. Ivan shoots a couple of prostitutes at the beach, while Dragonetti kills several women throughout the film.
* YouKilledMyFather: The boy in the restaurant. .
