!!Physical Descriptions

'''Abra''' is a small humanoid Pokémon averaging 0.9 meters in height. Possessing two small, short, foxlike pointed ears on the top of its head, its chest is covered in a leather-like material similar appearance of armor, while it possesses a fairly thick tail roughly half its height. Both its hands and feet possess three fingers each that can all be used to grasp objects. Abra's [[EyesAlwaysShut eyes are rarely open]].

'''Kadabra''' is a humanoid Pokémon averaging 1.3 meters tall. Its tail is significantly thicker then Abra's, its shoulders have gotten much broader, and claws have grown on the ends of its fingers. Its ears are much longer, and the entire head has elongated. The feet can no longer be used for grasping, the fingers having shortened and the feet grown thicker. Long tufts of hair grow out of the sides of its face, resembling a mustache.

'''Alakazam''' is significantly taller than previous morphs, averaging at 1.5 meters. Its ears have elongated further, while the tail has atrophied away. Its limbs are longer and thinner then a Kadabra's, and the mustache has grown larger as well. There were once rumors that a religious star was visible on the head of an Alakazam, though this soon would be revealed as an elaborate hoax. It should be noted that the females of this species have much shorter mustaches.

It has been found that Alakazam reacts to a Mega Stone appropriately named Alakazite, causing it to temporarily evolve into a '''Mega Alakazam'''. In this form Mega Alakazam actually shrinks in size from around 1.5 meters to an average of 1.2 meters, although in spite of numerous rumors that in form Mega Alakazam's muscles have completely atrophied, tests have proven Mega Alakazam actually loses no muscle mass upon Mega Evolution, and has the same level of strength as its previous form, however little it started with. The leather-like 'armor' over its chest and shoulders spreads completely down its arms until it hangs loosely and open around its wrists, and the hairy protrusions on its face flourish until they completely envelop Mega Alakazam's lower jaw, giving it the appearance of a sagely beard and mustache. The greatest physical change would have to be to its cranium, which elongates quite a bit and increases its already impressive psychic powers, to the point where it uses levitation as its sole source of motion (which lead to the rumor of its muscles having fully atrophied in the first place). In addition, a red gemstone appears on its forehead along with a trio of additional spoons. Some researchers theorize this gem and the spoons are actually psychic constructs and do not actually exist.

!!Notable Biology

The Abra line is well known for being one of the most powerful Psychic Pokémon in the world. Even the best human psychics pale in comparison to the potent abilities they display.

Probably the most interesting fact about Abra biology is that, unlike most species, the brain will never stop growing. This constant growth means an Abra, already intelligent, merely becomes more so as it evolves as it gains more and more neural pathways. Researchers are currently researching this property to see if the method can be used to allow damaged parts of human or other Pokémon brains to regenerate, curing brain damage.

As an Abra, they spend most of their time awake eating, and spend the majority of the day ([[HeavySleeper usually 18 hours]]) resting in a sleep-like trance as its powers become a strain. Any threats or predators results in the Abra simply teleporting away, even when it's asleep as they have an innate sense of danger. An Abra's tail is in fact a store of fat and nutrients, usable in times when food is scarce.

Upon evolution to a Kadabra, the Pokémon will find a stone and use their psychic powers to carve a tool shaped like a spoon (Trained Kadabra are often given a spoon by their Trainer). This spoon serves as a focus for its psychic powers. Taking away a Kadabra's spoon has been confirmed to reduce its power. After years of use, a Kadabra will discard its spoon and craft a new one. These twisted spoon remnants still serve as potent psychic lenses, and many psychics, both human and Pokémon, seek out these discarded tools.

It is rare for a Kadabra to evolve into an Alakazam in the wild, though the process can be induced artificially for trained ones. The process of evolution consumes the nutrient reserves in the tail, and the remains of it fall off shortly. An Alakazam will then acquire a second spoon, its abilities being so powerful it simply can't control them without two lenses.

An Alakazam's body is so atrophied that it, in fact, can not stand on its own. Its head and brain have grown so large that its neck would snap trying to support it. An Alakazam instead uses its psychic powers to support its body at all times.

The entire line is incredibly intelligent, but Alakazam is most so. Possessing intelligence easily on par with humans and surpassing a supercomputer, they are capable of understanding human speech and can easily telepathically communicate with their Trainers. They are often joked of possessing an [=IQ=] of at least 5000, with some of the more extreme ones placing it over 9000, though there is no doubt that Alakazam's intelligence ''could'' far surpass any human genius.

!!Habitat

Abra and Kadabra live near human settlements. They will often lodge in old and abandoned buildings. It is not uncommon for people near Abra colonies to find a Kadabra having teleported into an unused bed in their house to sleep in. This led to the rise of an urban legend that an eleven year-old psychic human had turned into a Kadabra. Abra and Kadabra are often attracted to psychic humans. They will sometimes attempt to "train" them in how to use their powers. Sabrina, leader of the Saffron City Gym and acknowledged as one of the most powerful human psychics alive, claims her Alakazam was the one to unlock her powers.

!!Diet

All members of the line are omnivores. They can subsist on berries, other vegetables, and meat. They enjoy eating human food. It is advised not to feed a wild Abra if you encounter one; otherwise, it will follow you, constantly asking for food. Also, Trainers should avoid feeding these Pokémon junk food, as their bodies are frail enough as is.

!!Hazards

Fortunately, despite their power, the line is gentle and enjoys the company of humans. If you attempt to attack an Abra, it will simply teleport away from anything that threatens them.

Kadabra will react more forcefully, however. Using potent psychic abilities, it's quite easy for them to wipe out an entire team of Pokémon. Novice Trainers are advised not to attack a wild Kadabra unless they want to see their Pokémon flung around like rag dolls.

Alakazam are rare in the wild, but if you do encounter one, threatening it will usually result in it simply teleporting you away. Depending on the Alakazam's sense of humor, your destination can be dangerous or simply humiliating.

For Trainers looking to train an Abra, it is advised to take the Standardized Psychic Ability test to see if you possess any sort of psychic power. If you do not posses any ability, it is generally advised to look for a different Psychic-type to train. This is because in spite of the line's incredible intelligence and power, they have difficulty with more mundane forms of communication, preferring to use psychic communication at all times. While there have been several non-psychic Trainers that have used the line, it is much more difficult. Unless you have the highest confidence as a Trainer, it is better for the Pokémon to be trained by someone they can more easily relate to.

!!Courting and Childrearing

Only Kadabra mate. Like humans, female Kadabra have a monthly menstrual cycle, and can mate at any time. Generally, the larger a Kadabra's mustache is, the more attractive a female will find him. There seems to be no set mating ritual for them. Also, how long a pair of Kadabra stay together depends on the personalities of the Pokémon involved. Mating for life and single day hook-ups have both been observed.

The young Abra are born in groups of three, and are taught how to teleport to food locations by the parents. Once an Abra reaches the age of five, they strike off on their own, usually evolving a few months later.

!!Social Structure

Abra are solitary creatures when not with their parents. Kadabra and Alakazam usually live in a loose social structure around a human settlement. Generally, disputes are solved by an older Kadabra or Alakazam. Some settlements have merged with Gardevoir communities, and there have been uncomfirmed reports of the two species breeding. However, attempts to replicate this in captivity have been met with failure.

One notable situation was that of an orphaned human psychic child adopted by a Kadabra community. He was discovered at the age of twelve. While not being able to speak, he was fortunately able to communicate with telepathy.
