[[spoiler:Android Noodle (referred to as 'Noodle-Bot' throughout the fic)]] plays the part of OnlySaneMan excellently, matching up wonderfully with the characterization of Murdoc as the JerkWithAHeartOfGold and 2D, who does ObfuscatingStupidity as beautifully as possible. The author also utilizes there being NoFourthWall by interspersing references to real-world pop culture such as ''Series/SesameStreet'', Music/TheWall and, most prominently, Music/TheBeatles, who are referenced in the title, the chapter titles, and the original character's name. If you STILL aren't convinced, there's also the great appreciation this author shows for their reviewers -- they reply to each and every review and thank all of them by name in each chapter.

The fic also has moments that dwell into Murdoc's past and even though it's not the main focus of the story, these segments are still incredibly well-written and just so good. The relationship that Murdoc and 2D have here is so realistic, makes so much sense, that if Jamie were to ever make 2Doc canon he may as well just show this fic to the entire fandom and be like "here's your explanation." Pretty long but don't let the size intimidate you as the chapters aren't TOO long so it might be a fairly fast read depending on your pace. Regardless, it is entirely worth reading and is probably one of, if not the BEST, 2doc fanfic I have ever had the pleasure of reading. One of my favorite Gorillaz, and just in general, fanfic EVER. Cannot recommend it enough. Definitely check it out. Even if you're not a fan of 2DOC, read it any way. Trust me, you won't regret it.
