14* Comments: Most works focus on Aziraphale/Crowley, with varying degrees of explicit content (many can be read as gen). In addition to both lyrical prose and a biting sense of humor, you'll find impeccable historical research and a delicate combination of lightness and subtlety in the dialogue. Similar to irisbleufic, expect a mature, defined individual style that's quite different from the one used in canon, but characterization that is almost always right up to spec, which, in my book, counts far more than the ability to mimic the authors' style.

19* Comments: A keen sense of history, an excellent ear for dialogue, and an unbelievable proclivity for making CrackFic work. Although many of this writer's pieces are listed as Aziraphale/Crowley, the grand majority of them can be read as gen (if you want a rare exception, see [[http://ajodasso.livejournal.com/1209685.html?thread=8214101#t8214101 here]] for an untitled explicit ficlet). More specific recs are given below in the General Fic section (''Going Home'' and the ''WWI Series'').

23* Pairing(s): Aziraphale/Crowley (sometimes gen, sometimes slash)
24* Comments: Saying these are funny is like saying that the original book has a slightly lighter approach to the Apocalypse. Even the shamelessly smutty fic is far more hilarious than PornWithoutPlot have any right to be. Quantum Witch has [[http://community.livejournal.com/halos_horns/ illustrated some of Bender's fic]] for even more comedic goodness. Be forewarned: even the gen ones are packed with HoYay that ''barely'' stops short of actual slash.

29* Comments: The best Aziraphale/Crowley writer I know of, this author also writes superb gen fic (relating to the Them, Adam and Pepper in particular; however, she's written a few amazing Shadwell/Tracy and Shadwell-centric pieces, too). She also occasionally crosses GO with other fandoms (notably [[http://irisbleufic.livejournal.com/313035.html Hot Fuzz and Sherlock]]). Everyone is unbelievably in-character, but her Crowley-POV pieces may shine brightest.
30** This writer's GO stories are often populated by original characters that feel like they've been there all along (cf. 34* Recommended by: {{Tropers/Kelliannm}}
35* Comments: This writer doesn't appear to be all that active anymore (much like daegaer), and while most of her pieces are very short drabbles, ficlets, and snippets, you'll find the [[http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/archive/0/nakedand.html occasional slightly longer piece]]. Not necessarily as polished or as distinctive in style as those previously mentioned, but her characterization is quite good, and her Aziraphale/Crowley smut tends to be [[http://louiselux.livejournal.com/251974.html both witty and sweet]].

Vulgarweed is an amazing author who is still active in the fandom, and even better, she coordinates a lot with Quantum Witch, who (as she did for H.J. 62* Summary: Other people plan 100 things to do before they die. Crowley planned 100 things before EVERYBODY died
63** Comments: Exactly what it says on the tin, except not. What starts out as a humorous and light-hearted series of loosely connected drabbles quickly progresses into a poignant, thoughtful, touching plot involving trust, bad decisions, and the Second Apocalypse. The writing is phenomenally in-character and follows very believably from where Aziraphale and Crowley left off in the book.

68* Summary: In the Middle East, during the 11th century and its Crusades, Aziraphale and Crowley first come to their Arrangement.
69* Comments: One of the few fics about the start of the Arrangement, and by God, the author does it justice. The characterisation stays top-notch throughout the fic, even though these are Aziraphale and Crowley as you've never seen them before, worn out by the horrors of humanity and unsavoury orders from their superiors, desperate for company but still wary about trusting each other. The plot is equal parts angst and heartwarming and fits right in with the book's canon. The author's other (often illustrated!) works are well worth checking out as well.

111* Summary: The end of the world has failed to happen, but things aren't going to settle back down anytime soon. Anathema's expecting, the Antichrist's about to enter puberty, an angel and demon find themselves irretrievably in a RomanceArc, the SevenDeadlySins awaken, and the Second Coming of Christ draws nigh.
112* Comments: Like the original book, this Continuation Fic introduces several unique subplots, takes care to develop each of them with their own twists and surprises, and eventually draws all of them together at the climax to form a satisfying conclusion. Best of all, even when it takes the canon material into creative directions, it remains lovingly faithful to the established canon characters and relationships. The end result truly reads as a sequel to the original book.
113** Addendum by Tropers/LGuardinal: (Most of) Quantum Witch's other works are quite good as well (though the vast majority, if not all of them, are Crowley/Aziraphale, sometimes quite explicit, so read at your own risk). Has a non-OriginalFlavor prose (me pointing out that a fic's "great, but not in the style of canon" is my SingleIssueWonk, so don't let that deter you) that manages to be atmospheric without a whiff of PurpleProse, inspired characterizations of God, Lucifer, and Beelzebub, and themes about divinity and death that avoid {{Anvilicious}}ness.

125* Pairing: Crowley/Aziraphale (it's just sort of there; the story focusses more on them and Adam being a family unit)
126* Summary: In which Crowley delivers three babies instead of one, and accidentally takes home The Adversary.
127* Comments: There're plenty of stories about Crowley and Aziraphale raising Adam. But not only is this one of the better ones, it has the unique, hilarious twist that's faithful to the comedic spirit of the book, in that they don't even ''know'' Adam is the Antichrist until the Hell Hound shows up. The writing is witty and very in line with the story-telling of both the book and the show, and is both laugh-out-loud hilarious as well as heartwarming-ly adorable.

133* Summary: After the events of Good Omens, Crowley shows up at the office of Aubrey Thyme, professional psychotherapist. She's very professional and good at her job, but she's never had a client quite like Crowley before, and processing the traumas from 6000 years of existence is going to take a long time...
134* Comments: Astoundingly beautiful. Expect to cry.
135** Addendum by Lemia: This fic takes the AllTherapistsAreMuggles trope and thoroughly explores, deconstructs, and sews it back together magnificently. The therapist OriginalCharacter is a fully-realized character and her sessions with Crowley realistically take a long while to make progress, but the trust and friendship that gradually forms between them is extremely touching and changes both of their mindsets in ways both small and profound.

141* Comments: A Vengeful!Hastur fic with incredible action sequences, featuring the use of possession, swordfights, and as the title might suggest, holy water. The final showdown between Aziraphale and Hastur is one of the most creative fight scenes I've ever read.

146* Summary: Aziraphale is recalled to Heaven, and Crowley isn't happy about it. After offing Aziraphale's ReplacementScrappy in a variety of amusing ways, he enacts a Heaven-contacting ritual that goes wrong in all the right ways.
147* Comments: I've already recommended daegaer's stories above, but this fic deserves special mention as a work that pulls off the common "Aziraphale and/or Crowley are recalled by their superiors" plot brilliantly without descending into melodrama. You won't find any angst here: just light-hearted, humorous drama that's surprisingly poignant in showing how much Aziraphale and Crowley mean to each other.

184* Comments: The fic premise clicks a lot of my buttons (Historical fic! Time travel! Frenemies!) 208* Comments: A well-researched [=WW2=] fic about Reggie Diceman, a counterintelligence handler who gets saddled with our favorite demon as a spy. The fic is remarkably immersive, containing details like what kind of office Reggie uses and how she was recruited. 242* Comments: Has the most perfect OriginalFlavor writing in the ''GO'' fandom, hands down. Crowley and Aziraphale are as entertaining as ever, Adam and the rest of Them have much-welcomed appearances, plenty of lines are giggle-inducing, and the progression of the main relationship over these eleven years is very much in-character and gives you a case of the warm fuzzies, especially at the closing lines.

248* Summary: A remix of Daegaer's [[AlternateUniverseFic AU fic]] ''[[http://daegaer.livejournal.com/50924.html Ordinary People]]'' that takes the original's basic concepts and ties them back to canon.
249* Comments: The SliceOfLife events and gradually developing romance are done gracefully without ever losing sight of the fact that Crowley and Aziraphale are ethereal beings who, while being the most "ordinary" of their kind, are still [[TitleDrop anything but ordinary]] compared to humans.
250** The original AU fanfic must be recommended as well, as the author's depiction of what Aziraphale and Crowley would be like as humans makes for wonderfully interesting characters. This Troper would advise you to read the AU first and then the remix.
251** Completely and utterly seconded, and it stands alone very well even without the original. Utterly touching, beautiful, believable take on a Relationship Upgrade, with flawless prose and characterisation throughout.

264* Comments: Although it's difficult to believe that Aziraphale ''wouldn't'' have seen Crowley's eyes in six thousand years' time (presumably he did see them in Eden), suspend your disbelief for a moment and read this amazing little one-shot.

Really, that's the best way to describe a fic with two opening quotes, one from ''Literature/ParadiseLost'' and one from a rock band, that can ''both'' be used to sum up the story. 472* Comments: Great writing and great characterization for everyone involved.

478* Synopsis: Starting after the pilot episode of Hazbin Hotel and six years before the end of the world, Crowley finds himself stuck in Hell due to a broken escalator. At Beelzebub's insistence he decides to leave the office building while he's waiting for it to be fixed and head out into Hell. While searching for a quiet place to pass the time drinking he finds himself at a strange new hotel.
479* Comments: Great fic so far. Both Charlie and Crowley are in character and their interactions together so far are rather sweet. Lots of potential for this story, looking forward to seeing it continued.

491* Recommended by: [=PitViperOfDoom=], heterodynegirl, Dame-Amaryllis
492* Status: Complete (sort of; ''Arrangements'' is technically unfinished, due to complications in the author's life; what's marked as the last chapter on A03 is actually a summary of how the final chapters were intended to go. However, it's a very thorough summary, often feeling like it could be a fic in itself, and so the story feels quite complete)
493* Pairing(s): Aziraphale/Crowley, Dean/Castiel, Sam/Gabriel
494* Summary: Team Free Will meets everyone's favourite angel and demon, and it all spirals from there.
495* Comments: One of the best Series/{{Supernatural}}[=/=]Literature/GoodOmens crossovers out there, in my opinion. There is a lot of shipping in this one, but the deep exploration of the relationships between Aziraphale and Crowley, Sam and Gabriel, and Dean and Castiel is what really makes the fic work. The scenes in this fic range from [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome jaw-droppingly awesome]] to [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments downright]] [[TearJerker heartbreaking]], and the interaction between all the characters is vivid and believable. Deserves its own trope page, I think.
496** Seconded, seconded, a million times seconded by {{Tropers/RainKrystal}}. This fic is one of ''the best'' [[Literature/GoodOmens GO]] stories I've read in a while, and even though I was never a fan of Series/{{Supernatural}} before I read this, I am one now. The story is good, but what drives it up to the epic level is that mixed in with all the action and the awesome are these incredibly personal, character driven moments that make your chest ache when you realize you've been holding your breath. The characters make the plot go, and it goes where's it's going at a good pace.
497** This author has also written a number of other ''[[http://icarus-chained.livejournal.com/167824.html Good Omens/Supernatural stories]]'', some of which are tremendously funny, others heart-wrenching (and sometimes both at once), but all of which feature amazing characterisation and excellent writing.

502* Pairings: hints of A/C, Destiel, and Sabriel, but easy to ignore
503* Summary: Set 20 years post-GO and after 5.22 of SPN. Dean's miserable. Sam's soulless. Castiel is beginning to fight a war he cannot win. Crowley is starting to hate his position. And Aziraphale is dead. But one choice, one single action, changes everything. Now, with the world hanging in the balance, an unlikely team must form to save it. Gabriel's welcome to stop laughing any time now.
504* Comments: Awesome footnotes, a list of characters similar to the beginning of [[Literature/GoodOmens the book]], and a well-done explanation to combine the two Crowleys into the same entity.

509* Pairings: None
510* Summary: Dean does not appreciate being stuck in London. Anthony J. Crowley does not appreciate being 'hunted' by two lunatics. Duke of hell Hastur is extremely annoyed that two strange mortals keep interfering with his plans to get revenge on Crowley himself, and Aziraphale disapproves mildly of the word 'assbutt'.
511* Comments: Brilliant and fun. Takes place roughly during season 6 of ''Series/{{Supernatural}}'', when Sam and Dean head to the UK to find Crowley's bones(except Sam already has his soul back), and about a decade and half after the events in the [[Literature/GoodOmens book]]. And everyone seems to be in-character and highly entertaining.

517* Comments: Brilliantly written in a style that sounds just like Pratchett and Gaiman. Everyone is in-character and it's absolutely hilarious.
518** Seconded by cg12345. Style is spot-on, and Aziraphale is shockingly badass at the climax. BewareTheNiceOnes, indeed.

531* Comments: Excellently written in OriginalFlavor, but with a [[DarkFic twisted undercurrent]] to it; this is what ''Good Omens'' would have been like if processed through a [[SlidingScaleOfIdealismVersusCynicism nightmarish filter of cynicism]]. It's the kind of fic you read through once for the great writing, then vow to ''never'' read again after being left a broken, sobbing heap at the end. As awesome as the twists and reinterpretations are, it's definitely not a fic for easy reading.

535* Status: Complete
536* Pairing(s): Aziraphale/Crowley
537* Summary: In an universe where Crowley avoided Falling and stayed a loyal angel named Kralel, he spends six millennia working to root out angelic corruption in Heaven until one day Gabriel assigns him to go undercover on Earth to investigate Aziraphale for corruption. Kralel initially has a very dim opinion of the angel who became disgraced for failing to properly guard the Tree of Knowledge, but that gradually changes as he gets to know Aziraphale and Earth better.
538* Comments: A great, long fic that explores how different Crowley and Aziraphale's personalities and relationship would have been if Crowley were more loyal to Heaven and Aziraphale had to deal with Hastur instead of Crowley on Earth for almost six millennia, but also shows how the two of them are still the same Crowley and Aziraphale at their core who would still have developed in certain ways and still been drawn to each other even without six millennia of familiarity. It also delves into serious topics about faith and free will without becoming bogged down in them and has one of the most epic Crowning Moments of Awesome for Kralel/Crowley I've ever read in GO fanfic (you'll know it when you read it).
