Successfully combining the JidaiGeki and TheWestern, it sets up a friendship between the cannon characters and the OCs, and is more action-based than most ''Fruits Basket'' fics. But apart from the action, it also has the underlying theme of old vs. new; Kyo and Tohru are clearly out-of-place in the WildWest, while his friend is not.

If you've ever wanted to see the Sohma family cross the [[VideoGame/MarioKart Rainbow Road]] to the United States (specifically, North Dakota), a vengeful Akito hijack a ride with Kazuma to follow them, [[TheStoic Hatori]] as the OnlySaneMan and TheChewToy, this is your story. The story is complete at 22 chapters. [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2324446/1/Shoopuf_Basket_PLATINUM The sequel]], unfortunately, seems to be a DeadFic at 8 chapters.

Tohru uses her skill of {{Talking the Monster to Death}} very well, leading to several SugarWiki/FunnyMoments and [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome Awesome]]. For a CrackFic everyone is surprisingly in character.

Tohru makes herself a force to be reckoned with not by swinging a Keyblade around (although she does have one) or by killing monsters - she's just herself. Her [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome Crowning Moments Of Awesome]] are both [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments hilarious]] and [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments adorable]]. Sephiroth has no idea what he's getting himself into. A great reminder of why Tohru is this troper's favorite character.
