''Pokémon Squad'' is a fanfic series created by [=RayquazaMaster=] ("RM"), and his friend, Sailor Pikachu (known as [=MickeyMouse=] here, though she quit at the end of 2010) based on ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries''. It focuses on the not-so-typical lives of RM and his friends living in his mansion. Living there are otaku RM's Friend, classic {{Creator/Nickelodeon}} junkie Sailor Pikachu, and all the main humans in Pokemon. Also there are Henry and June of ''WesternAnimation/KaBlam'', and ''WesternAnimation/ThePenguinsOfMadagascar''. Later arrivals are Dawn from ''WesternAnimation/KaBlam'', RM's Other Friend, RM's Friend's Twin, among others. They live next door to the Yaoi House, which includes WesternAnimation/DoraTheExplorer, [[Series/BarneyAndFriends Barney]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}} Baloney]], [[Anime/PokemonTheSeriesRubyAndSapphire Harley]], [[Series/SesameStreet Elmo]], [[WesternAnimation/{{Doug}} Roger Klotz]] and the home's main couple, [[WesternAnimation/ChalkZone Rudy and Snap]]. Other characters such as Doug Funnie, the WesternAnimation/{{Recess}} gang, {{Franchise/Barbie}}, WebVideo/TheAnnoyingOrange, and [[WesternAnimation/KaBlam Loopy and Larry]], are in it too.

All the characters have their Pokémon, but Pikachu and RM's Mudkip, Sqirt, are evil and want to rule over earth.

Most of the non-original characters have been [[{{Flanderization}} Flanderized]], but to a funny extent.

Now on 228 episodes and several shorts [[https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/poketown_2/pokemon-squad-f44/?sid=5beedba6ce1a1a2ee1dd659733074b11 located here]], though it can also be found easily on [=RayquazaMaster's=] Website/DeviantArt page.
----
!!''Pokémon Squad'' provides examples of:

%%* TheAce: RM.
* ACupAngst: June, who stopped growing after ''WesternAnimation/KaBlam'' ended, has a flat chest as a result. She is very sensitive to jokes about it.
* AnAesop:
** “RM’s Addiction”: Keep your cravings in moderation and don't let them control your life.
** “St. Elmo’s Fire”: It’s okay to be religious, but it’s not okay to [[TheFundamentalist force your religion on others]].
** “RM’s Gay Old Time” drops two:
*** There is nothing wrong with being gay.
*** [[CampStraight Just because a person acts stereotypically gay doesn’t mean they are]].
* TheAlcoholic:
** Brock could also classify, seeing as it's his "juice" that gets her drunk. Yet, we never see him drinking it, so probably not.
** June was an alcoholic long before episode 4. According to the real RM and Sailor Pikachu, there are plans for a scene at Alcoholics Anonymous. Apparently, Alcoholics Anonymous banned June for life when she attacked the leader of the group for telling the group members to try to go a week without drinking.
** Two words: Elmo. Reddmonster. In fact, he founded Elmo's Tavern solely because there weren't any bars in Unnamed Town and wanted a place to drink at.
** [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] with RM. He doesn't normally drink, but he almost always turns to alcohol first whenever he's depressed. Sometimes subverted, because Elmo has [[DrunkOnMilk given him non-alcoholic variations of normally-alcoholic drinks]] on a few occasions (such as in "Rayquaza Mistress").
** Doug Funnie drinks to cope with the trauma Barney inadvertently put him through.
%%* AllJustADream: Actually several episodes.
* AllMenArePerverts: 50% of the male cast, though Brock and Professor Oak are the worst examples.
** Subverted with Gretchen, as she's got a perverted side, but she's a girl.
* AllWomenAreLustful: June.
** Miss Grotke. To a lesser extent, Delia.
* AloofBigBrother: Inverted with RM's Friend's Twin. RM's Friend fits the description of the trope, but he's the younger sibling.
* AnIcePerson: RM's Abomasnow. Also Sqirt when using an Ice type attack.
** And Red's Lapras.
* ArtifactTitle: It really was only in the pilot (which the real RM and Sailor Pikachu both like to pretend didn't exist) that all of the main characters except for the [[AuthorAvatar Author Avatars]] were Pokemon and only the background characters were from other series. Very next episode? We get [[WesternAnimation/KaBlam Henry and June]] and WesternAnimation/{{the Penguins|OfMadagascar}} as main characters, while dropping a surprising number of the non-Pokemon background characters. The episode after that, most of the Yaoi House cast is introduced, and a few episodes later they become really major as it's shown they live next door to the Mansion.
** The real RM has recently stated, however, that due to Sailor Pikachu's prompting, he'll be trying to write out some of the non-Pokemon characters except the Yaoi House to make it more of a Pokemon series again.
* AscendedExtra: Pretty much everyone in the Yaoi House, Doug Funnie, and some others.
** TO THE EXTREME with the Yaoi House. They first appeared in "The RM That Would Be King" as the prison guards when RM took over the world. Then it's revealed that they live next door (though it's not revealed until "Pokémon Squad Goes to the Beach", and it's only actually shown that Barney lives there). They quickly become important parts of the cast (in more ways than one), and even have several episodes centered around them. Additionally, WordOfGod says that after Pokemon Squad is finished, RM (the real one) plans to write a new series completely centered around the Yaoi House.
** [[Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers England]]. He starts with just a cameo appearance in a scene that had little to do with the plot of an episode, but then in a short he's revealed to have a past with June, which is demonstrated in several episodes.
* AuthorAppeal: "Eliza Thornberry"'s OTP of Buzz Lightyear and Woody. The real RM ships Buzz and Woody, as does the real Sailor Pikachu.
* AuthorAvatar: RM and Sailor Pikachu ARE REAL PEOPLE. They have different names, that's all.
** Ditto for RM's Friend, RM's Other Friend, RM's Friend's Twin, and Flashbacks37 (though he ended up being written out). They don't write Pokemon Squad, though.
* AuthorTract: Episode 228 starts out with a quest to retrieve an AncientArtifact from Japan, but [[spoiler: but by Chapter 9, it devolves into little more than a continuous string of {{Take That}}s against Junichi Masuda and his direction of ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' from [[VideoGame/PokemonXAndY X and Y onward]]]].
* BabiesMakeEverythingBetter: In the LostEpisode May and RM kidnap Poof from ''WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents'' and Tommy Pickles from ''WesternAnimation/{{Rugrats}}''.
* BadGuyBar, GoodGuyBar: Elmo's Tavern could qualify as a strange combination of the two. Doug often develops his schemes to kill Barney there, and June spends long nights in bar fights, but as mentioned by Barney just about everyone in Unnamed Town who is a heavy drinker goes (except, ironically, Barney, as he's banned from it for life by Elmo himself).
* BeachEpisode: Appropriatly titled, "Pokemon Squad Goes to the Beach".
* BeeAfraid: RM is terrified of them.
* BerserkButton: Don't call Ash fat.
** Don't call T.J. fat.
** Don't take away coffee from Sailor Pikachu.
** Don't refer to Spinelli by her first name (Ashley)
** Don't say any derogative comments toward purple people in front of [[Series/SesameStreet Telly, Count Von Count]], or [[WesternAnimation/{{Doug}} Beebe]]
** If Brock sees Red, he WILL go insane.
** Dora gets extremely angry if someone criticizes her [[LethalChef cooking]]. RM learned this the hard way.
** RM goes into an AxCrazy state if someone messes with his hat, as "Mad Hatless" shows. He even beat up ''June'' for it, to the point that she became unconscious!
*** He also becomes angry if someone messes with his [[TrademarkFavoriteFood Swedish Fish]] or doesn't pay attention to his intelligence.
* BiFauxnen: June.
* BigEater: Ash. In fact, he's the only member of the squad who could stomach [[LethalChef Dora's awful Mexican food!]]
** Also, RM occasionally. In Episode 228, he eats an entire bowl of chocolates in a hotel room without a second thought, though it does wreak havoc on his stomach. [[spoiler: It turns out that the chocolates were laced with laxative powder, indicating that someone was sabotaging their mission to grab an AncientArtifact from Japan]].
** And Sailor Pikachu if it involves shrimp cocktail....
** May. She has said she eats 48 BOWLS OF NOODLES in ONE SITTING.
* BilingualBonus: On RM's character bio, it's said he speaks Japanese, Chinese, Swedish, and German.
** Most of his character songs utilize Japanese or Chinese, and several lines in episodes have him speaking German. His Swedish has yet to be seen outside his bio.
*** Well, now it's been seen outside of his bio. Granted, it was his cat who said it, but the cat is essentially a feline equivalent of him.
** Sqirt is an {{Expy}} of Arnold Schwarzenegger, complete with GratuitousGerman.
* BrokenPedestal: In "Dumb and Daria", RM finds out that his childhood idol, [[WesternAnimation/JimmyNeutronBoyGenius Jimmy Neutron]] is a racist homophobe.
* ButtMonkey: Both Dawns and Ash.
** Henry, too. And June if it's about [[Anime/SailorMoon "talent."]]
** T.J.
* CampGay: James, Harley, and seemingly Barney, though some evidence implies that he's actually pansexual but just for children.
* CampStraight: RM. He acts ridiculously flamboyant at times, but he was a relationship with May.
** However, he does seem to have a thing for RM's Friend, who he calls "Onii-sama," and RM's Friend's Twin, who he calls "Nii-chan."
** He also enjoys being genderbent a little too much and has asked his "Nii-chan" several times to marry him (and it's implied he's done this with RM's Friend even more times). No word yet on whether he's joking or not about this...
*** He likely isn't joking (at least about enjoying being genderbent), since he more or less says in the episode where Pokemon Squad is bought by Saban that he enjoys being genderbent so much he's willing to let Pokemon Squad stay the property of Saban. However, "RM's Gay Old Time" confirms him to be joking about being bisexual.
* CaptainErsatz:
** Barnard Dinosaur and Bargaret Frank-Dinosaur are this to [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Homer and Marge Simpson]].
*** As well as Barla Dinosaur, to Maggie Simpson.
*** In the episode, Barney Frank served Bart's role, with him [[DeadpanSnarker often spouting a sarcastic remark]] and getting strangled by Barnard for it.
** Barney had the show ''Bernie and Pals'', and other shows made by the rip-off company were ''[[WesternAnimation/KimPossible Kimberly, the Impossible Superhero Girl]]'', and ''[[WesternAnimation/{{Recess}} Schoolyard Fun]]''.
* AChildShallLeadThem: Brock when he runs for president of Kanto, although technically he's a teenager.
* ChubbyChaser: Spinelli mentions that she thinks T.J.'s cute ''because'' he's chubby. Doesn't stop her from teasing him with the rest of the gang, however.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome:
** Cameron the Photographer and Paul the Three-Eyed Monkey are good examples. They appeared frequently in cameos in the Sailor Pikachu-era episodes. After that, they more or less disappeared completely.
** WesternAnimation/ThePenguinsOfMadagascar were PutOnABus, then stopped being mentioned at all (outside of a Q&A section of the 200th episode that dealt with this trope). This was mostly due to a combination of pruning non-Pokémon related characters (which was aborted later) and RM's own changing interests.
** There are several members of the Yaoi House who had more or less disappeared in later episodes. Harley and Drew being good examples, despite originating from ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' (and therefore not being affected by the pruning).
** Dawn from ''WesternAnimation/KaBlam'' doesn't appear anymore, probably because [[TheyKilledKennyAgain she only existed to die repeatedly]] (though the fact that Dawn from ''Pokémon'' is also in this fanfic [[OneSteveLimit probably didn't help]]). The same can be said for WesternAnimation/FanboyAndChumChum.
** After Sailor Pikachu left the series, the ''WesternAnimation/{{Recess}}'' gang had been phased out completely.
** [[Anime/PokemonTheSeriesBlackAndWhite Trip]] had the misfortune of being preemptively removed from the series. This was because RM personally disliked Trip (he was called one of Ash's blander rivals) and because the squad was large enough already.
* ClingyJealousGirl: May becomes this in "Baby, You Roxie My World", when RM and [[VideoGame/PokemonBlack2AndWhite2 Roxie]] instantly become friends. Pachirisu is even worse than May, trying to bite/attack Roxie when they're nearby.
%%* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}:
%%** Ash Ketchum ''to the extreme''.
%%** Mort.
%%** Obviously, also Barney. And Baloney. And Pachirisu is this when it comes to her crush on RM.
* CoolBigSis: Sailor Pikachu. This is mostly seen in the episode where Mac mistakes Jessie's Wobbuffet for Bloo and thinks "Bloo" deserted him, and Sailor Pikachu tries making him feel better.
* CovertPervert: [[invoked]] Gretchen from ''Recess''. To most people, she just appears as a ChildProdigy. She gets ''much'' enjoyment out of reading yaoi and yuri manga, sometimes her [[NerdGlasses glasses]] could be turned into ShippingGoggles, and her favorite scenes in ''[[Literature/HaruhiSuzumiya The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya]]'' are the ones when Haruhi starts erm..."playing" with Mikuru.
** Plus, she's the one in the Recess Gang that knows the most about "whomping".
** She also writes a lot of yuri/yaoi fanfiction and fanfic going off into Rule 34 territory. Isn't she ''nine''?
*** She's the new [[Manga/LuckyStar Hiyori]]
* {{Crossover}}: Sailor Pikachu appears at the end of the ninth episode of ''Fanfic/TheLooneyScientistsShow'' for everyone to celebrate her birthday.
* CrossoverShipping: [[WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends Mac]] is in a relationship with [[WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls Bubbles]].
** Later on, [[Franchise/ToyStory Buzz]] starts dating [[WesternAnimation/{{Recess}} Miss Grotke]], much to her horror.
* CuteBruiser: Pikachu, Pachirisu, Sqirt the Mudkip, Raichu, Plusle, Minun, and June.
** Not to mention RM's Manaphy.
** And Spinelli later on.
* CuteKitten: Meowth. Plus, Sailor Pikachu loves cats.
* DamnedByAFoolsPraise: Ash is a fan of ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyTest'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{Breadwinners}}'' (though the latter was only brought up once as a throwaway gag), the joke being that he likes the shows [[WhoWouldBeStupidEnough because he's just that stupid]].
* DarkHorseVictory: Squidward, when he wins Kanto's presidential election despite not even running.
* DeadpanSnarker:
** June is a pretty good example, snarking when she isn't mad enough to get violent.
** Barney Frank frequently makes remarks about Barney's stupidity.
** RM himself is one of best examples.
** The other co-authors are this as well, especially Sailor Pikachu, who is best described as a nice version of June.
* DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment: The Francois Pokemon-Trainer Pokemon Trainer School for Pokemon Trainers.
* TheDevilIsALoser: In "RM Goes to Hell," Satan proves ''completely'' inept at tormenting RM.
* DesertedIsland: On two occasions. In one, all main characters get stranded on a Castaway Island. In the next, RM gets stranded on another Castaway Island while Ash and June get stranded on a nearby FarSideIsland.
** Although size-wise the deserted island Ash and June are on the second time is somewhere between FarSideIsland and Castaway Island.
* DirtyOldMan: Barney. He's two hundred million years old (if anyone remembers his birthday episode in 1992). Plus, WordOfGod says he cosplays as Rei's grandpa (from ''Franchise/SailorMoon'') with George W. Bush, his best friend.
** Professor Oak is also a great example.
* DisabledSnarker: Red is [[TheSpeechless mute]] and instead conveys his sarcasm [[TalkingWithSigns through signs]].
* DisneyAcidSequence: The "He's All Alone" song in an episode about how Barney's family's dead.
** Same thing happens in another future episode when Rudy and Snap break up.
*** And in the episode where Baloney is shot.
* TheDitz:
** Ash is usually several sandwiches short of a picnic.
** Barney isn't very bright, either.
** Neither of the two Dawns are intelligent. Dawn from ''Anime/PokemonTheSeriesDiamondAndPearl'' is a naive WideEyedIdealist, and the one from ''WesternAnimation/KaBlam'' manages to [[TheyKilledKennyAgain repeatedly kill herself]] [[TooDumbToLive in completely preventable ways.]]
* DitzyGenius: RM is the smartest character in the series, but as “Eight Yaois Out” demonstrates, he reaches Ash levels of stupidity when it comes to sports.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: RM has mentioned a hatred for carrots and, while not ''exactly'' an aversion, he can’t handle spicy food either.
* DontTryThisAtHome: Pretty much all of RM and Max's experiments. Also, anything relating to a Pokemon attack or June's alcoholism.
* DoubleStandardAbuseFemaleOnMale: June on Ash and Henry, and to a lesser extent, Brock.
* DreamSequence
* DrowningMySorrows: Mac does this with ice cream when he thinks Bloo (actually Wobbuffett) deserts him.
** In the first movie, a parody of ''WesternAnimation/TheSpongebobSquarepantsMovie'', Ash and Brock reference the infamous scene in the movie where [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick get drunk on ice cream to drown their sorrows.
** RM does this when [[spoiler:May dumps him]] in "Missing Master".
* DudeLooksLikeALady: RM is often confused for a flat-chested woman becausr of his long, blonde hair and effeminate looks/behavior.
** [[ParodiedTrope Parodied]] in "Rayquaza Mistress" when a machine test tells him he's female and he gets an identity crisis. [[spoiler: Turns out, it was just a glitch and RM is indeed male]].
--->'''RM:''' Ach! What do I do?! What if Kowalski and the others can't find proof I'm a man?! What if I actually am a flat-chested woman? What'll I tell May?! ([[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan slaps self]]) Don't worry, they'll definitely prove that I'm a man, and that [[AttractiveBentGender my genderbent version is extremely busty]]. I'm sure they will! After all, how else would one explain my hairy legs?! And I have a Metapod! Yeah! I'm 100% man! Except I don't act like a man, I don't look like a man, [[WholesomeCrossdresser I love crossdressing]], [[ScreamsLikeALittleGirl I scream like a girl-]] (Red comes in)
* DumbBlonde: Completely averted. RM is one of the smartest characters. Sailor Pikachu is also relatively smart, and RM's Other Friend is another very smart character.
** In RM's case, it's averted so much it's scary... Such as his rounding π to 1120 digits...
* {{Elseworld}}:
** A number of episodes, mostly earlier ones, transplant the characters into different time periods and settings.
*** "Pokemon Squad B.C.E. (Before Comedy Existed)," a WholePlotReference to the ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'' episode "Ugh" that naturally takes place in HollywoodPrehistory.
*** "Western Animation," which takes place in TheWildWest.
*** "Animal Creepy," where Ash dreams that Unnamed Town becomes just like ''VideoGame/AnimalCrossing''.
*** Two of the film-length episodes, "The Nerd of Orre" and "Barney D. Dinosaur and the Chocolate Factory," which are parodies of ''Film/TheWizardOfOz'' and ''Film/WillyWonkaAndTheChocolateFactory'', respectively.
** Some of the scrapped episodes also have different settings.
*** "The Pokémon-Squadsons," a parody of ''WesternAnimation/TheJetsons'' set in the future.
*** "Golly Gee!" transplants the cast into TheFifties.
* EruditeStoner: In the episode "Team Rejects", RM and MM are revealed to be pot smokers, [[spoiler:which is why they are team rejects]].
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** [[VisualNovel/DokiDokiLiteratureClub Monika]], RM's {{Yandere}} girlfriend from "A Little Bit of Monika", eventually gets repulsed by RM's clinginess and gives him a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech, though it does has a kernel of HypocriticalHumor.
* EvenNerdsHaveStandards: Max is arguably on the second highest tier, and ditto for RM (arguably, anyway, since they both work in the lab together and invent stuff together). Next tier: RM's Friend, RM's Friend's Twin, and Sailor Pikachu, and arguably RM's Other Friend.
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** In "Eight Yaois Out", June, the resident {{Jerkass}}, says even ''she's'' not a bigot.
--->'''June''': Yeah, I'm a (Nick jingle)ing cruel heartless (Nick jingle) half the time, but I'm not discriminatory.
** Brock may be the biggest pervert in the series, but he's shown on more than one occasion that Barney's pedophilia disgusts him.
** Almost everybody hated [[ScrewPolitenessImASenior Ash's Grandmother]] in "Granny Ketchum's Homestyle Nuisance", but RM was outraged by [[spoiler: Ash and Barney accidentally giving her a heart attack.]]
** In Episode 228, on a mission to retrieve an AncientArtifact, RM [[spoiler:is hired at a museum by a Japanese woman named Michiko, who is clearly infatuated with him. When Snap suggests using her crush to his advantage, RM says that even with all the bad things he’s done over the years, he’d never manipulate anyone who was in love with him for his own gain, especially considering she’s dedicated to her job.]]
* EverythingsDeaderWithZombies: In one episode, several main characters catch a virus that turns them into zombies.
%%* {{Fanservice}}
* FantasticVoyagePlot: In one episode, Ash swallows Sailor Pikachu's ''WesternAnimation/InvaderZim'' DVD thinking it's a flat donut. Sailor Pikachu demands Max gets it out of him, so Max shrinks Brock and RM to go get it. And guess what the episode is called? [[VideoGame/MarioAndLuigiBowsersInsideStory RM and Brock: Ash's Inside Story.]]
%% * FatIdiot: Ash and Barney.
%% ** BJ.
* FireIceLightning: Fire: Ash's Infernape, Red's Charizard, and RM's Rayquaza if it uses Flamethrower. Ice: Ash's Buizel is it uses Ice Punch, RM's Abomasnow and Red's Lapras. Lightning: Ash's Pikachu, Red's Pikachu, Sailor Pikachu's Raichu, Henry and June (Sailor Pikachu's Minun and Plusle, respectively), and RM's Pachirisu.
* {{Flanderization}}: And how!
** Not only have non-original characters been Flanderized, but there's a fair amount of in-series Flanderization, for both original and non-original characters. Ash just keeps getting stupider, June keeps getting crueler, Max keeps getting smarter, and Barney keeps getting more child molestation obsessed.
** RM's dislike for WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic is HEAVILY Flanderized. He's become paranoid of a brony uprising to the point where he even has invented many things specifically for that occasion. He seems to think bronies are behind nearly everything, which is extremely odd for him as he's extremely smart.
*** He also TookALevelInJerkass, frequently acting like a snobbish bastard in the newer episodes. To compensate, he also became more of a ButtMonkey.
* FlatCharacter: RM's Friend, who was noted by the real RM to be a source of just the same [[CovertPervert jokes]] again and again. He wasn't removed with the other "RM's Friend"-type characters, since he was initially thought to be important. When it was getting apparent that he was this trope, he was PutOnABus along with [=PlatinumMage=].
* ForcedIntoTheirSundayBest: The Pokemon Squad during Barney's birthday party. They don't enjoy it.
* GagSeries: Oh, ''yes''. If the All The Tropes wiki is any indication, the real RM has an unwritten rule to (mostly) exclude drama to keep it from getting mushy. Hell, even [[spoiler:Baloney's death]] was PlayedForLaughs.
* GoKartingWithBowser: Ash plays poker with Team Rocket in an episode. Meanwhile RM's and RM's Other Friend's Poker Club invites WesternAnimation/FanboyAndChumChum to play poker with them. Fanboy ends up betting all of his internal organs except one kidney and loses. Chum Chum ends up betting his entire body and loses. [[AppeaseTheVolcanoGod RM obviously uses Chum Chum for something pretty important.]]
* AGoodNameForARockBand: In one episode, RM watches too much ''WebVideo/StupidMarioBrothers'' and decides to start a rock band. What does he name it? Jimmy Rayquaza and the Masters.
* GoofyPrintUnderwear: June wears childrens' ''Franchise/SailorMoon'' underwear that glow in the dark.
* GottaCatchThemAll: Greatly {{subverted}}, but it's something both Ash and RM want to do.
* GreenThumb: Ash's Torterra, RM's Torterra, RM's Abomasnow, and Red's Venusaur.
* HairTriggerTemper:
** June is the best example. She frequently beats people up and curses when she gets angry. The fact that she's often drunk doesn't help much.
** Misty is this much of the time. This gem from "Brock v. James" sums it up:
--->'''Brock:''' "Ash is unintelligent and immature. Misty has a terrible temper and would probably start a war between Kanto and Unova."
--->'''Misty (angrily):''' "I would not! Why I oughta..." (breathes in and out of a paper bag) "[[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments Whew... much better.]]"
** In "Pokémon Squad: The Clone Wars", RM makes several clones of himself based on the SevenDeadlySins. {Wrath is more-or-less June's SpearCounterpart in this regard.
* HandsomeLech: Larry describes [[UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist RM]] as this in the episode "Why Do You Think the Net Was Born?", after they discover each other's addictions to dating websites:
-->'''Larry:''' "I mean, while your personality is probably the most undesirable one I know of, you're at least physically attractive to a certain extent."
%% * HarmlessElectrocution: Ash and his Pikachu, Red and his Pikachu, and RM and his Pachirisu.
* TheHedonist: RM's Friend, who does nothing but sleep and read {{Hentai}}. Apparently, he can be distracted from the hentai if there's a violent movie playing in front of him.
* HeroicBSOD: Every time someone brings up that Buzz is a toy, he goes through one of these.
* HollywoodToneDeaf: Ash. He can't sing. He just can't.
* IAmBigBoned: Ash often says this.
** And T.J. uses the term "bulky" for himself.
* InformedAttribute: RM's Friend is said in a couple of episodes to be an {{emo}}. However, he is almost never seen angsting and comes off more as a mixture of TheStoic, TheHedonist, and a CovertPervert.
* InsistentTerminology: In "The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Life of Timothy Green," RM insists that Timothy calls him “Far” instead of “dad.”
* InterspeciesRomance: RM's Pachirisu has a crush on RM and is sometimes willing to outrageous extents to win RM. In fact, when RM became king Pachirisu volunteered for jail guard duty and chased Ash halfway to Egypt.
%%* IsItSomethingYouEat: Ash's catchphrase is this.
* {{Jerkass}}: June.
** And Sailor Pikachu when she's angry and/or hasn't had her coffee.
** Also Paul, but less so than in [[Anime/PokemonTheSeriesDiamondAndPearl the anime.]]
** RM, when it comes to bronies.
*** In general, RM is this on his worse days, to the point that on two separate occasions, MM outright called him a prick, the latter of which ("Nobody Cares About the Bears") lead to a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech.
** Barney Frank is hugely this to his younger brother Barney.
** As far as one-shot characters go, Ash's Grandma from "Granny Ketchum's Homestyle Nuisance" is this. She openly despises Ash, asks Delia why she bothered to have him in the first place, and is just an annoying prick to the whole mansion in general.
* JerkassHasAPoint:
** Elmo may be a criminal, but in "Dumb and Daria", he votes for Daria because she's the only decent candidate and calls everyone else out for voting Patrick (who outright stated that nobody gets any rights).
--->'''Elmo:''' Barney is an idiot for voting for Patrick, and Patrick is also an idiot!
*** Barney Frank, who is also a bit of a {{Jerkass}}, also sides with Daria.
---->'''Barney Frank:''' Barney, you're an absolute buffoon. Patrick literally said that nobody gets any rights.
** In "Granny Ketchum's Homestyle Nuisance", RM is extremely pissed off after [[spoiler:Ash and Barney give the former's grandmother a heart attack (in order to make her stay with the Yaois instead) and feeling no remorse.]]
** In Episode 228, June is the one to point out that [[spoiler: their mission to get an AncientArtifact is being sabotaged by someone, most likely Rudy and Snap]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold:
** Barney Frank, despite being a sarcastic grouch, is usually pretty cordial to anyone who isn't his brother.
** June has shades of this. She's [[HairTriggerTemper short-tempered]], a criminal, an alcoholic, a DomesticAbuser, and a LadySwearsALot. However, she is quite friendly towards Sailor Pikachu, is against bigotry, and even [[spoiler: cries when it appears RM had died in "RM: Boy Genius"]].
** RM is an InsufferableGenius of the highest order and has a sarcastic streak a mile long. In spite of this, he tries to be a good boyfriend to [[VisualNovel/DokiDokiLiteratureClub Monika]] in "A Little Bit of Monika" (though he fails due to his clingy tendencies, it's the thought that counts), is appalled when Ash and Barney accidentally give the former's grandmother a heart attack, and [[spoiler:refuses to betray a museum worker who has become smitten with him despite being hellbent on his mission for an AncientArtifact]].
* JigglePhysics: The girls (minus June) in the beach episode.
* KarmaHoudini: According to RM in "What a Rip!", June has gotten off scot-free with ''several'' felonies that dwarf Ash's "crime" in the episode ([[MattressTagGag ripping the tag off of a mattress]]).
* LethalChef: June and Ash. Also debatably RM's Friend for fairly obvious reasons.
** Dora is a terrible chef, as shown in "A Week With the Yaois".
*** Speaking of that episode, the plot is kick-started by [[EpicFail June burning down the mansion while attempting to make ice cream]].
* LostHimInACardGame: Ash bets Pikachu to Team Rocket in a poker game in an episode and loses.
** Fanboy and Chum Chum lose most of their bodies in a card game in said episode. Actually, Fanboy loses everything but a kidney and Chum Chum loses his ENTIRE BODY.
* LovableAlphaBitch: Sailor Pikachu...kinda. She's the closest thing the series has to one, anyway.
* MakingASplash: Sqirt, RM's Manaphy, Ash's Buizel, Red's Blastoise, Red's Lapras, RM's Rayquaza when it uses Surf, etc.
* MattressTagGag: The whole point of the episode "What a Rip!", where [[{{Jerkass}} June]] tells [[TheDitz Ash]] that since he ripped a tag off of a store mattress, he's going to jail for 30 years in Siberia. Naturally, Ash panics. It took until the end for RM to find out and tell him that it wasn't illegal at all.
* MeaningfulName: Sailor Pikachu loves Pikachu, and is a huge ''Franchise/SailorMoon'' fan.
** [[GottaCatchEmAll RM is a Pokemon master since he's completed the National Dex in most of the games he has and he's beaten the Pokemon League so many times he's lost count, and his favorite Pokemon is Rayquaza.]]
* MistakenForPedophile: In "Why Do You Think the Net Was Born?", Brock calls Larry a pedophile due to being a 32 year old looking for children to date. However, he points out that it's not pedophilia if [[NotAllowedToGrowUp he's still physically 12]].
* {{Mockbuster}}: In-universe. ''[[Series/BarneyAndFriends Bernie & Pals]]'', which ironically ended up getting critically-acclaimed for being ''Barney & Friends'' done right. One scrapped episode was supposed to feature a knock-off of ''Bernie & Pals'' called ''Barkley & Associates''.
* MoralityPet: June may be a short-tempered, bitchy drunkard, but she treats Sailor Pikachu, Doug, and Beebe with actual respect.
* MyBelovedSmother: Delia is incredibly overbearing to both Ash ''and'' the rest of the mansion, including RM, who owns the mansion (while Delia doesn't even live there).
* NotAllowedToGrowUp: A large sum of non-original characters. Ash, May, Larry, Loopy, Henry, June, Brock, etc. have all suffered from this trope (Namely a RunningGag where Brock, who is 19, can't do a certain thing because he's stated to be 15 on Bulbapedia).
** This does ''not'' apply to the {{Author Avatar}}s, which was the out-of-universe reason why [[spoiler: RM and May broke up in "Missing Master"]].
* NotSoStoic: In "RM: Boy Genius", the normally unemotive and detached RM's Friend lets out a BigNo as RM [[spoiler:jumps and falls into the stadium as he tries to end the battle against the [[WesternAnimation/InvaderZim Irkens]] once and for all]].
* OneSteveLimit:
** There were two Dawns in this series: the one from ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' and the one from ''WesternAnimation/KaBlam''. The latter was [[ChuckCunninghamSyndrome phased out of the series]], with this trope being a likely contributing factor.
** Aside from Henry and June from ''[=KaBlam!=]'', Sailor Pikachu also has Plusle and Minun named after them.
* OnlySaneMan:
** Any of the co-authors act as one of these. To a lesser extent, we have Henry, Clemont and RM.
** As far as the Yaoi House goes, Rudy and Snap are this, and Elmo to a lesser extent. Barney Frank too, but he's ''very'' OutOfFocus these days.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: June. Very different, considering she's not a dragon at all. But, then again, this is metaphorically, referring to her nasty attitude. Western dragon, I'd say.
** RM's Rayquaza is an Eastern Dragon.
** Red's Charizard is a Western dragon.
* OutOfFocus:
** [[Series/SesameStreet Bert and Ernie]]. They were introduced in the seventh season, and were quickly shafted into the background. However, they do often get one or two lines in episodes, presumably to avoid being full-blown cases of ChuckCunninghamSyndrome.
** Several characters in the squad have also suffered this. Characters like Serena and Tracey have never gotten ADayInTheLimelight, while Team Rocket's only gotten one or two.
** Barney Frank has suffered this fate sometime in the middle of the [=PlatinumMage=] era.
* PeoplesRepublicOfTyranny: When RM finds out he's royalty in "The RM That Would be King". And he manages to overthrow 47 countries and 4 states.
%%* PlayfulOtter: Ash's Buizel.
* PoliticalOvercorrectness: Lampooned mercilessly in the episode "Chalk Justice", where Snap becomes an SJW.
* PresidentEvil: In "Brock v. James", James runs for president of Kanto.
* PutOnABus:
** "Sailor Pikachu's Goodbye" has done this to several core cast members: Sailor Pikachu, the Penguins, RM's Friend's Twin, RM's Other Friend, and RM's Other Friend's "Sister".
** Later, the episode "Barney Goes to the Unemployment Line" did this to [=PlatinumMage=] and RM's Friend.
* TheQuietOne: RM's friend
** Also, whenever the Recess gang speak, it's usually T.J., Vince, or Spinelli. Gretchen, Gus, and Mikey don't have as many.
* RagsToRoyalty: Everyone in RM's Mansion in the episode "The RM Who Would Be King." Although, they weren't really in rags, seeing as they lived in a MANSION.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Sailor Pikachu was going to stay single in the series. Once the real Sailor Pikachu got a boyfriend, he was slated to appear in a future episode, but by Sailor Pikachu's request, he won't be appearing.
** Sailor Pikachu is slated to leave the series soon so (in-universe) she can persue a solo career in music. In real life, the real Sailor Pikachu admitted on another site that due to depression and other things going on in her life, she needed to move on.
%%* ReallyGetsAround: Miss Grotke.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Several.
** From "A Little Bit of Monika":
--->'''[[VisualNovel/DokiDokiLiteratureClub Monika]] (angrily):''' I can't take this anymore, I've already told you more than enough times that you don't need to do any of this. I get it, you're appreciative of me and want to show it. I already know how appreciative you are. At this point this is just seeming clingy and creepy. [[AtLeastIAdmitIt And I would know!]] [[ItMakesSenseInContext I've deleted like five of your friends and reset time at least twice to keep you to myself]]! But you insist on upstaging me, and smothering me, and walling me in with all these gifts so if I leave I'll feel guilty!\
'''[[JerkWithAHeartOfGold RM]]:''' That's not my reason for the gifts though.\
'''Monika:''' That doesn't matter, the result is what matters. But guess what? I don't care anymore! I'm done with you! I'm resetting time again, we're through!
** "The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Life of Timothy Green":
--->'''Timothy:''' You know what? I'm finished being sweet and adorable. (Nick jingle) you, Dad!\
'''RM (shocked):''' WHAT did you just say?!\
'''Timothy:''' Yeah, (Nick jingle) you! You're the worst parent possible! First that god(Nick jingle) mother(Nick jingle)ing parenting book by the Turners, now you can't parent at all on your own! And you know what? I've had diarrhea after ever god(Nick jingle) meal you've prepared me! That is, WHEN YOU DO PREPARE A MEAL. I'm (Nick jingle)ing through, I'm running away to join the (Nick jingle) circus or some (Nick jingle). (Nick jingle) you, Dad.
** In "Nobody Cares About the Bears", MM gives one to RM for his FanHater charged remarks towards Ash.
--->'''MM:''' You know, ICantBelieveImSayingThis, but I agree with Delia. I overheard from the hallway. RM, you're being even more of a prick than usual. You're acting like your opinions are the only ones that matter, and the only ones that are valid.\
'''RM (laughing):''' Look, a ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyTest'' fan!\
'''MM:''' (Nick jingle) off, I hate the show as much as anyone else with a brain. But at least I don't attack it and the people who do like it.\
'''RM:''' But you just did.\
'''MM:''' ...You're impossible to reason with while staying sane.\
'''RM:''' Yes, I am. I'm told that on a regular basis whenever I try to explain why my opinions are superior.\
'''MM:''' But they're not, you (Nick jingle)lord. But you're arrogant enough to insist that they are, even though they matter no more or less than anyone else's.\
'''RM:''' I'm not arrogant, I have self-loathing issues.\
'''MM:''' Then you're insecure. Whatever. One way or another, you act like your opinions are the only opinions of worth. But guess what? Nobody cares.
* RunningGag:
** June swearing in almost every sentence she says. Censored, though.
** Brock laughing creepily whenever something that could be interpreted pervertedly is said. "Heheheheheh..."
** Jokes about Ash being fat.
** Jokes about June's [[Anime/SailorMoon "talent."]]
** June getting intimate.
** Rudy and Snap "getting oosh, oosh, gooshy."
** Ash shipping RM and Sailor Pikachu. Reached a full head in "We Did It! We Did It! Hooray!", where Ash noticed that RM was sore, smelly and wearing the same clothes he did the night he went to Sailor Pikachu's house, and Brock told him that means they had sex.
** The creepy laughs of several characters.
** Gary saying "Nyeh."
*** This actually could count as a ShoutOut to WebVideo/YuGiOhTheAbridgedSeries, but most likely is a reference to Gary's dub voice being one of those voices that makes you think "Nyeh" due to being somewhat nasal.
** RM being mistaken for a girl has turned into this, as has much of his camp behavior.
* RunningGagged: Several old {{RunningGag}}s no longer happen:
** Fanboy and Chumchum being grotesquely killed. Being eaten (especially by June) seems to be the most common now.
** RM's Friend rarely speaking and always reading manga.
** June turning into a Shonen anime version of herself when she takes out her ponytail and takes off her sweater.
** "OMG THEY KILLED DAWN! YOU IDIOTS!"
** Whenever RM's Friend talks...
*** "You can talk?!"
** Whenever Brock thinks of a great idea...
*** "I just thought of something great! IIIII JUUUUUUUUST THOOOOUUUUUGHT OOOOOOOF SOOOOOMETHIIIIIIIIIIING GREEEEEEAAAAAAT..."
** Brock seeming like more of a friend of RM than RM's Friend... and sometimes more than anyone else, like when they were planning RM's birthday.
*** Anyone else besides Max, anyway.
** "Hi, I'm Paul!" You know, Paul the three-eyed monkey from the end of ''WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfJimmyNeutronBoyGenius''.
** Cameron the Photographer appearing out of nowhere at the worst times.
** "I just gotta sketch this!"
* SelfDeprecation:
** "Cigarette Ash" has a scene where RM complains about having to shoehorn in AnAesop, claiming that only Season 1 was meant for children. He then adds that everyone wants to forget that season ever happened.
** The episode "NO. Oh God Why... *Cries Uncontrollably*" is dedicated entirely to RM and Sailor Moon cringing at their past behaviour.
* ShoutOut: "[[WesternAnimation/InvaderZim I WILL SING THE DOOM SONG NOW!]]"
** The theme songs are always parodies.
** Rudy and Snap are refered to as....[[Anime/SailorMoon "cousins"]].
** [[WesternAnimation/SouthPark "OH MY GOD THEY KILLED DAWN! YOU IDIOTS!"]].
** [[WesternAnimation/ToyStory1 "Would you like some more tea, Mrs. Nesbit?"]]
*** And later, [[WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends "Brock is stinky? That's not nice! EVEN IF IT IS TRUE!"]]
** Actually, so many it's insane, but somewhat Justified as this is a crossover fic.
-->"Hey, Brock!" Ash said, tapping Brock on the shoulder. Brock was reading a hentai manga.\
"What, Ash? What?!" Brock yelled. "What could possibly be so important that you would distract me from reading my hentai manga just to tell me about it?!"\
"I just had my first successful bowel movement in 2 years!"\
Brock hit Ash on the head with the manga.\
"Ow..." Ash cried. "Brock, that was just a joke and a well timed [[WebVideo/YuGiOhTheAbridgedSeries Yuioh Abridged]] reference!"
** [[Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers "Sqirt-chan...kekkon...kekkon...kekkon..."]]
*** That's certainly not the first time that scene has bee referenced...
** In "Pokémon Squad Goes to Australia":
*** Ash believing everything in Australia is upside down is quite similar to [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Bart Simpson's]] belief that everything goes backwards in Australia in "Bart vs. Australia".
*** Whenever Rudy and Snap see a wallaby pass by, Barney Frank notes them singing the ''WesternAnimation/RockosModernLife'' theme song.
** Barney Frank is based off of [[https://en.uncyclopedia.co/wiki/Barney_Frank this Uncyclopedia page]], though Uncyclopedia's version is Barney himself rather than his brother (the Uncyclopedia version is also enemies with [[Series/SesameStreet Elmo]], while this version is on good terms with him).
** {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d in "The Magic of Magic" in the opening:
--->'''RM:''' Heheh, hey Delia, check it out. I'm referencing ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy''.\
'''Brock:''' Holy crap, this is epic.
** At the beginning of Chapter 11 of Episode 228, RM has a dream that parallels the beginning of ''VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim''. When he wakes up, he sees Todd Howard, who also has a Stand named after Music/ImagineDragons.
** Elmo's bar is called [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Elmo's Tavern]]. And yes, he has received a few {{Prank Call}}s (with most of the gag names being direct references to those used on ''The Simpsons''.)
* SickEpisode: Several, actually.
** In "Ash! Eats! Waffles!", Ash eats expired waffles and suffers food poisoning as a result.
** "That's Just Sick" revolves around Ash bringing home the flu after being kissed by a sick fangirl, and being [[NurseWithGoodIntentions stuck taking care of everyone in the mansion]] because he's the only one who ''isn't'' sick.
* SilentSnarker: Red is a mute who has to [[TalkingWithSigns talk with signs]] in order to convey the many sarcastic quips he has to offer.
* SmartBall: Barney occasionally holds the ball, most notably in [[spoiler:"Trapped in the Cage", where he manages to fool RM (of all people) into stealing the Declaration of Independence]].
* SmartPeopleSpeakTheQueensEnglish: RM, who isn't even British, and RM's Other Friend. RM is notable for going even further into this trope when he's angry.
* SpecialGuest: Five in one episode: Richard Michael Alvarez, Dane Kevin Cook, Matt Provencal, Chris Muller, and Doug Orofino. All in costume as their characters in ''WebVideo/StupidMarioBrothers''.
* SpiritualSuccessor:
** ''Fanfic/TheLooneyScientistsShow'', a fanfic series on the same site. The episodes are made by Lancelot Niccals (another user on RM's site) and the concept was thought of by her and former co-creator of ''Pokémon Squad'', Sailor Pikachu (which really only started out as a parody of ''WesternAnimation/TheLooneyTunesShow'')
** ''Fanfic/SethInThePokecity'', which used to be on [=RM's=] website, but was moved to Website/DeviantArt (the episodes on there are still there, however). In that series, there are several {{CrossoverPunchline}}s involving this series, and in general having a similar sense of humor.
* SpontaneousChoreography: In "RM's Gay Old Time", the entire mansion breaks into song about whether RM is gay or European.
* SoundEffectsBleep: "WHAT THE -Nick nick nick nick nick nick nick nick, Nickelodeon-"
** During one of the scenes where the Recess gang are in school, Miss Grotke teaches them about the difference between [[WesternAnimation/ToyStory1 flying and falling...with style]]. Finding the entire concept ridiculous, she says "Man, this lesson is a load of sh-" and then the bell rings.
* SpringtimeForHitler: One scrapped episode, called "50 Shames of Gray", revolves around RM and Brock writing an [[TrollFic intentionally horrible]] ''WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents'' fanfic, which ends up so successful that it gets a [[TheMovie movie adaptation]].
* StalkerWithACrush: Roger, to Doug.
* TheStoic: RM's Friend almost never shows any real emotion, mostly due to being so wrapped up in his manga.
* SufficientlyAdvancedAlien: In one episode when the [[WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfJimmyNeutronBoyGenius Yolkians]] and [[WesternAnimation/InvaderZim ZIM]] want to take over the world again, just about every famous sci-fi alien and every [[Franchise/StarTrek Starship Enterprise]] crew member takes the side of the Pokemon Squad main characters and fight an epic all-out battle against the [[WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresOfJimmyNeutronBoyGenius Yolkians]].
* TalkingAnimal: All the Pokemon.
** Though most speak secretly. Only a few are open about it.
* TalkingWithSigns: Because [[TheSpeechless Red is mute]], he has to use signs in order to communicate with the rest of the cast.
* TakeThat:
** Everyone's upset in one episode because they're getting bought by.......[=DiC=].
** This gem from "Dumb and Daria":
--->'''Brock:''' Daria and Patrick are running for president of Kanto? Well, this ought to be an interesting election... I either vote for the least competent politician in history or for my ex.\
'''George W. Bush (from the window):''' Did someone say "least comp-tent politician in history"? Howdy! Ah thought Ah heard y'all talkin' 'bout me! Later! (leans back and falls)\
'''Someone from outside:''' [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants MY LEG!]]
** From "Nobody Cares About the Bears":
--->'''RM:''' This is worse than a horror movie. As in, this is actually legitimately frightening as opposed to relying on cheap scare tactics and pandering to the lowest common denominator. Huh, I never realized before now just how much horror movies are like UsefulNotes/DonaldTrump.
** In Episode 228, Junichi Masuda is an antagonist and Chapter 9 throws many barbs at the ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' games from [[VideoGame/PokemonXAndY Gen 6 onwards]] bordering on AuthorTract. Chapter 11 also fires a few jabs at ''VideoGame/Fallout76''.
* TheIdiotFromOsaka: Averted in one of the weirdest ways possible with Barney's cousin Baka. His name MEANS idiot, he's from Osaka, but he's smarter than Barney and possibly [[OnlySaneMan Barney Frank]].
* TheMovie: One every 25 episodes starting on Episode 50 with the REAL movie.
* TheSpeechless: Red is mute, and as a result must communicate with signs.
* TheVoiceless: RM's Friend. It seems RM thinks of him as a CuteMute, which is just one example of the huge amount of HoYay between them. Interestingly, much of the HoYay seems to be stemming from RM's Friend talking so rarely.
* TheyCopiedItSoItSucks: An InUniverse example happened in "Bernie & Pals". The ripoff company that produces the titular show is stated by RM to have made bad ripoffs of good shows (among those victimized being ''WesternAnimation/KimPossible'' and ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime''). ''Bernie & Pals'' itself is an aversion, as the characters call it "''Series/BarneyAndFriends'' done right".
* ThoseTwoGuys:
** Larry, Cilan, and Barbie.
** The Purple Gang: [[Series/SesameStreet Telly, Count von Count]], and [[WesternAnimation/{{Doug}} Beebe]].
** Sailor Pikachu and June are the standard ThoseTwoGuys, as well as Ash and Henry.
** There are SEVERAL ThoseTwoGuys groups with RM. RM and Brock, RM and Max, RM and RM's Friend, RM and RM's Friend's Twin, RM and RM's Other Friend (who practically have an ongoing comedy routine involving her height), RM and Kowalski, need I go on?
** Woody and Buzz. Gretchen has..[[HoYay other thoughts on them]].
** Also Sqirt and Pikachu or Sqirt and Pachirisu.
* TitleDrop: Parodied when the Recess gang are in class. After the bell rings, Miss Grotke mentions, "Okay, it's time for...oh great, I'm going to end up doing a title drop [[WesternAnimation/{{Recess}} to the show we're usually on]], aren't I?"
* ToiletHumor: Though not used that often, when it is used, it's HUGE.
* TooDumbToLive:
** Ash, to the point that in "Pokémon Squad Goes to Australia", his first instinct when seeing the venomous snakes is to '''''play with them'''''.
** Baloney's death was the result of standing in front of Sailor Pikachu while she was shooting a target.
** Dawn from ''WesternAnimation/KaBlam''. She ends up accidentally killing herself on a regular basis in entirely avoidable ways. [[TheyKilledKennyAgain She's just lucky she's always back for the next episode.]]
%%* TurtleIsland: Ash's Torterra, Red's Blastoise, and RM's Torterra.
* UnfortunateNames:
** Brock's Cousin's name is literally "Brock's Cousin". His grandfather is named "Grandpa Harrison".
** "RM's Friend", "RM's Other Friend", "RM's Friend's Twin", and "RM's Other Friend's 'Sister'". Those are their actual names.
* UnstoppableRage: When June gets mad.
** Also, Sailor Pikachu when she's mad and/or hasn't had her coffee.
** Do NOT touch RM's hat.
* UnusualEuphemism: Older episodes loved this trope.
** "Oosh-oosh-gooshy" was a term for sex, but it was phased out later in the series.
** If a character has "[[Manga/SailorMoon Talent]]", they are busty.
* VerbalTic: Snap can't say two sentances without, "bucko".
** Literally. If he says three sentences without "bucko," the world ends.
** RM's Friend, if he's not reading, usually ends his sentences with "muahahaha..."
* VictimOfTheWeek: When Larry and Cilan are setting up for [[spoiler: Baloney]]'s funeral in the yard of the Mansion, [[FridgeHorror Ash implies that this is a regular, albeit annoying, occurrence]].
* VomitDiscretionShot: This series LOVES this trope.
** In "Moe Moe- AUGH!", Brock ends up vomiting outside after seeing [[FanDisservice Ash dressed as a maid]].
** In "A Little Bit of Monika", [[LethalChef RM's cooking is so horrible]] that Monika ends up suffering food poisoning.
* YaoiFangirl: Apparently Gretchen, who doubles as a YuriFan.
** Sailor Pikachu (the REAL Sailor Pikachu) ships Rudy and Snap, which is why they are yaoi in the fanfic.
* YeOldeButcheredeEnglishe: A huge amount in episode 43.
** It seems to be blended with a stereotypical British way of speaking, though.
** Honestly, this sentence seems out of place: "We hath brought Your Majesty smokes!"
