He's quickly forced, via AnOfferYouCantRefuse, to join the efforts to repeal this new threat to humanity using giant combat {{Cyborg}}s built by the Artificial Evolution Laboratory, the research efforts of which happen to be led by the mother of Kaworu's MysteriousWaif classmate Rei Ikari...
