[[folder:#-F]]
* Krumm from ''WesternAnimation/AaahhRealMonsters'' was a {{Cephalothorax}} who carried his disembodied eyes around with him. His dad Horvak has the same set-up, and in fact lost one of his eyes when it was mistaken for a musket ball and [[BeenThereShapedHistory used to fire the "Shot Heard 'Round the World".]]
* In the ''WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog'' episode "Tails' New Home", Tails runs to safety straight through a nearby wall after Sonic threatens to reveal that [[EmbarrassingFirstName his first name is Miles]]. Dr. Robotnik gets up from the resulting rubble, his eye throbbing until he pulls a brick out of it.
* ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'':
** There is a scene in "Too Young" in which the character Lemongrab is so afraid that his eyes actually roll back into his head, leaving only the whites exposed as he screams horribly. *shudder* Jesus...
** In the same episode, Peppermint Butler gets spicy serum in his eye.
** Though she doesn't get to actually do it, in "Jake vs. Me-Mow", Me-Mow declares her intention to run her dagger into or across Finn's eyes.
** At the end of "Come Along With Me", when [[spoiler:Ice King is truly freed of the influence of [[ArtifactOfDoom his crown]] due to [[EldritchAbomination GOLB]] reverting them both back to their basic states, Gunter takes it and wishes to become the new Ice King. The crown merges with him and its gems become his eyes, one of which falls out and gets lodged in a donut that he uses to propose to Turtle Princess.]]
* One of the {{running gag}}s in ''WesternAnimation/{{Archer}}'' has the titular character wearing night vision goggles on different occasions, only to end up painfully blinded from bright lights turned on at the worse times.
** The season 3 opener "Heart of Archness" features several characters suffering dramatic eye trauma, often where pieces of cutlery end up accidentally stuck in people's eyes. That season's finale "Space Race" also features an imprisoned Archer using a [[ClothFu towel whip]] to subdue their guard; he's heard off screen to aim it specifically for the guy's eyes, and he's next seen covering his face and whimpering about how he's definitely been blinded.
* ''WesternAnimation/AquaTeenHungerForce'':
** In the Mooninites' first appearance, Meatwad realizes that they're not his friends after all when Err puts out a cigarette in his eye.
** When a toilet Frylock built destroyed Carl's body, leaving only his head, Frylock attempted to build him a new body out of black market organs he ordered from the Internet. Unfortunately, the organs were all eyes. He could move, barely, and every step hurt as much as you'd expect.
** The episode "Unremarkable Voyage" had Carl, Frylock, and Meatwad shrunk by Shake and they get revenge by crawling into his head and taking over his brain, or rather [[WhoEvenNeedsABrain the nerves where his brain would be if he had one]], [[PsychicAssistedSuicide to make him gorily kill himself]]. When Meatwad is returned to regular size and neglects to help Carl and Frylock escape, we later see they had to get out by blowing out one of Shake's eyes.
** Another episode has Shake stealing Frylock's laser contacts, and Meatwad later retrieves them by pulling out Shake's eyes (offscreen) and shoving them over his own. Shake's empty eye sockets are later shown [[NauseaFuel now infected and buzzing with flies]].
** The episode "Universal Remonster" plays this trope for laughs, with Oglethorpe trying to activate a retinal scan, both times hitting the button for the wrong laser (no thanks to Emory not labeling the buttons) causing the laser to shoot his eyes out. Hilariously, he manages to get the retinal scan working after he gets his eyes back the first time...with his eyes ''in his hand'' held up to the laser.
---> '''Oglethorpe:''' "DAMMIT, I TOLD YOU TO LABEL THOSE BUTTONS! My eyes are [[{{Understatement}} throbbing]] from the laser!"
** In "Fry Legs", a police officer annoyed with Shake and Meatwad pestering him pepper sprays them after they assume his can to be deodorant.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Arcane}}'': Silco has to regularly inject his damaged left eye with small doses of Shimmer, and said eye was wounded and bleeding when [[CainAndAbel Vander attempted to drown him in their youth]]. What's more, the pollution and toxins in the river infected the wound and caused complications that led to his scars and eye discoloration. [[spoiler: In the present he has Jinx use a device that pricks his eye with a needle to inject Shimmer in it. It is as you might imagine, a rather painful experience, but that he has his mentally unstable daughter stab him in the eye regularly speaks volumes of the trust he has in her.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'' has Zuko's famous near-miss of getting ''shot in the face with freaking fire'' by his ''father''. His left eye still works, but it is damaged enough to always be squinted.
* ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHead'':
** In the episode "No Laughing", Butt-Head stabs Beavis in the eye with a pencil. Beavis leaves it in for a while, then calmly removes it with a small spurt of blood.
** A similar thing happens in "Late Night with Butt-Head", when during a parody of ''Series/TheLateShowWithDavidLetterman'', Butt-Head accidentally flicks another pencil into Beavis' eye.
* ''WesternAnimation/BigCityGreens'':
** In "Blue Tater", Cricket is convinced that a blue potato Bill found is a BadLuckCharm and is also rightfully convinced that Bill's ad-hoc food truck (his pickup truck with a fridge and deep-fryer in the back and poorly wired to a car battery) is dangerous. According to Cricket, the fridge can fall on someone, the fryer can burn someone's face off, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and the salt can get in someone's eyes]]; when he shakes the salt shaker, exactly that happens to him.
** In "Swimming Fool", as Cricket is staring in awe at the high dive at the pool, a boy dives into the pool which splashes him with water all over, and his eyes turn red and veiny and eventually tear up. Either in his opinion, he's overwhelmed with wonder or it's the chemicals from the pool; turns out it's the latter as they sting his eyes and rubs them out.
** In "Green Streets", when Cricket is interrogating Benny, he tries to get him to talk by squirting lemon juice in his eye, but accidentally squirts it into his own. He then tries with two more lemons, but squirts himself again, then he voluntarily pours a pitcher of lemonade on his eyes to gross Benny out. Cricket is eventually left temporarily blinded by this.
** In "I, Farmbot", when Bill lets a robot take care of his farm work and begins spending all his time sitting in his recliner, Alice and Tilly push him out into the sun, which sears his eyes as soon as he's out of the shade.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/BobsBurgers'' episode "Dr. Yap", Gene and Louise fight over ownership of a jawbreaker by doing increasingly absurd acts. One of them is squirting lemon juice in their own eyes.
* In ''WesternAnimation/TheBookOfLife'', Manolo is seen using his guitar as a sword at one point.
* ''WesternAnimation/Castlevania2017'':
** "[[Recap/Castlevania2017S1E2Necropolis Necropolis]]": During his first fight with some of [[SinisterMinister the Bishop's]] men, Trevor slashes one of them across the face with his whip, plucking out his eye. In a later fight, the [[AssholeVictim poor bastard]] gets hit in the ''other eye'' with an arrow when Trevor is using him as a HumanShield.
** "[[Recap/Castlevania2017S1E3Labyrinth Labyrinth]]": Trevor kills the Cyclops by stabbing it in the eye.
** "[[Recap/Castlevania2017S2E2OldHomes Old Homes]]": In a flashback, Isaac kills his abusive master by showing his thumbs into his eye sockets.
* ''WesternAnimation/CelebrityDeathmatch'' features a whole lot of this.
** Mel Gibson pokes out Paul Hogan's eyes through the back of his head. Paul picks them up and shoves them back in their sockets.
** Cher and Sandra Bernhard are both left with one of their eyes hanging out of their sockets; unlike Cher, whose eye was simply hanging out for the duration of the fight, Bernhard's eye was pushed out of the back of her head with a champagne cork, and was left dangling through the hole in her head until Martha Stewart's punches sent it flying.
** Sammy Davis Jr.'s eye pops out and rolls across the ring floor when Jerry Lewis gives him a friendly pat on the back with too much force. Dean Martin even trips over it.
** Similar to above, Bjork punches Beck's eye out of its socket, and for added effect, stomps on it.
** Referee Mills Lane's glass eye is knocked out of its socket during the fight between Ellen [=DeGeneres=] and Dr. Laura Schlessenger. He even temporarily calls off the fight and demands the two fighters help look for it before finishing the match.
** The Dixie Chicks' Martie blinds TLC's Left-Eye, in her left eye, by jabbing her repeatedly with the bow of her fiddle.
** In quite possibly one of the show's most infamous instances of this trope, Motley Crew's Tommy Lee manages to kill porn legend Ron Jeremy by stabbing him in the eye... with his penis.
* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Chowder}}'''s "The Wrong Address", Mung Daal, Chowder, and even their Roast Most at one point get mercilessly pepper-sprayed in the face by a pepper spray saleswoman who mistakes them for carjackers, causing their eyes to burn. Later, [[ItMakesSenseInContext the large, blue, and angrily hissing rat that's been chasing them]][[note]] who happens to be the ''real'' customer who ordered the dish in the first place[[/note]] gets a taste of pepper spray too, which culminates in him, Mung, and Chowder spraying at each other until Mung sprays the driver, causing her to swerve off the road and crash into the duo's car (which Mung misplaced earlier).
* ''WesternAnimation/CloneHigh'': Scudworth stabs John Stamos in the eye with the prom king crown in the first season finale.
* ''WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor'': The NauseaFuel-heavy episode "Operation: P.I.N.K.E.Y.E." is about students at Gallagher Elementary getting pinkeye from water balloons launched by an unknown assailant. When their eyes crust over, the crust is later shown being used as an apple crumble topping.
* In ''WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog'' - Courage gets this fairly often - his eyes sometimes fall out of their sockets when he screams. In more extreme cases, they burst.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheCupheadShow'':
** Done in the episode "Baby Bottle" when the titular baby shoots milk into Cuphead and Mugman's eyes.
** The other time when Cuphead and Mugman walk in on their father (whose now with a new tin) in the kitchen for breakfast in the episode "Dirt Nap", they encounter a shining light which causes their irises to explode and later covering their eyes due to how bright the tin skin was.
---> '''Mugman:''' My eyeballs are on '''[[SuddenlyShouting FIRE]]!'''
---> '''Cuphead:'' '''[[BigWhy WHY]] IS IT SO BRIGHT?!!!'''
** Happens yet again in the episode "[[Recap/TheCupheadShowS2E6TheIScreamMan The I Scream Man]]" when the ice cream man throws sprinkles in Mugman's eyes causing them to burn during a fight.
* When ''WesternAnimation/{{Daria}}'' attempts to put in her contact lenses for the first time. It quickly cuts away before she puts it in, but we hear her scream in pain when she does.
* In ''WesternAnimation/DrawnTogether'', Princess Clara's father, the king, almost decides to gouge her eyes out with a fork to stop her from seeing Spanky.
* The first episode of ''WesternAnimation/TheDrinkyCrowShow'' shows, in painfully explicit detail, Drinky yank his own eye out with a clamp, then slice the optic nerve with a razor blade.
* An episode of the ''WesternAnimation/EarthwormJim'' cartoon featured Jim looking for a new sidekick, and one of the candidates was Turns-His-Eyelids-Inside-Out Boy.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy'' [[ValentinesDayEpisode Valentines Day Special]] "Ed, Edd n Eddy's Hanky Panky Hullabaloo", Rolf deliberately squirts lemon juice into his eyes to search for Jimmy and Sarah (who are Cupid-like fairies) so that he can stop them from causing lovey-dovey chaos and get the other kids back to normal.
* The ''WesternAnimation/ExtremeGhostbusters'' episode "The Unseen" involving an orb that summoned a demon who would steal the eyes of anyone who looked at it. The episode went so far as to show the empty eye sockets on two or three occasions, and at least showed the eyes flying right out of their sockets.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents'':
** In "Timmy's 2-D House of Horror", Vicky's family sees horrible things through a magic pair of 3-D glasses such as Mrs. Turner serving spaghetti and EYEBALLS.
** Early in "The Good Ol' Days", Timmy gives his grandfather a sour candy that causes his lips to pucker to a comical degree. The camera pans to Timmy as his grandfather's eyes roll to his feet and he complains that the candy [[FacialHorror made his face implode]].
** In "Fairy Idol", Cosmo demonstrates the HealingFactor that all fairies have by jabbing himself in one eye, which instantly heals in half a second, then doing the same to the other eye.
* ''WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends'':
** A prominent aspect of Wilt's design is his [[AnArmAndALeg missing arm]] and broken eye, both of which are explained in the special ''WesternAnimation/GoodWiltHunting'': in a basketball game that he ultimately lost, his arm was crushed from being sat on by his rival and later amputated, while his eye was rendered inoperable from being hit by a stray ball.
** In the episode "Mac Daddy", the first of Bloo's {{Imagine Spot}}s showcasing the ways Cheese can get himself injured has him squirting a pen into his eyes.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'':
** There's an episode where Leela, after being complimented on her eye, touches it vainly, complete with indentation marks. The commentary track for that episode mentions that anyone who doesn't wear contacts is likely to be bothered by that scene.
** Implied in "[[Recap/FuturamaS3E9TheCyberHouseRules The Cyber House Rules]]"; Leela gets surgery to give herself a second prosthetic eye, but eventually realizes she's not happy with being "normal" and gets fed up with her superficial plastic surgeon/boyfriend Adlai. She decides she wants to go back to having one eye, threatening Adlai with "By the end of the day, ''one'' of us is gonna have one eye!"
** Supposedly, people squirm when they see Bender's eye being drilled into in the third movie, ''[[Recap/FuturamaM3BendersGame Bender's Game]]''.
** In ''[[Recap/FuturamaM4IntoTheWildGreenYonder Into the Wild Green Yonder]]'', a ''Martian Muck Leech'' attaches itself to Leela's eyeball.
** The [=eyePhones=] from "[[Recap/FuturamaS6E3AttackOfTheKillerApp Attack of the Killer App]]" is a golfball-sized device that has to be installed by the side of the eye of the user, as the show "helpfully" shows with Fry.
** In "[[Recap/FuturamaS6E5TheDuhVinciCode The Duh-Vinci Code]]" Fry gets a nail lodged in his eye after attempting to use it to shut down a machine.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:G-L]]
* ''WesternAnimation/GaltarAndTheGoldenLance'': Tormack's [[RedRightHand disfigured right eye]] is mentioned briefly in the first episode to be a result of trying and failing to claim the Golden Lance, which would only allow itself to be wielded by someone who could stare unflinchingly into its magical light. The obvious implication is that Tormack refused to back down until the magical light ''permanently burned his eye into uselessness''.
* ''WesternAnimation/GravityFalls'':
** In the episode "[[Recap/GravityFallsS2E4SockOpera Sock Opera]]", one of [[OurDemonsAreDifferent Bill]]'s first actions upon possessing Dipper and becoming subsequently [[SenseFreak fascinated/entertained by inflicting pain on his new body]] is to pour soda in his eyes. Earlier, the possibility of this was alluded to when Dipper considered the weird things Bill could do to him in exchange for his help, such as replacing Dipper's eyes with baby heads.
** In "Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back the Falls", a gigantic Bill has his eye ripped out of its socket by the [=ShackTron=], then later he has spray paint sprayed into his eye, with Mabel remarking that she knows it hurts because she's accidentally done it to herself multiple times.
--->'''Bill:''' (after having his eye ripped out) My eye! Do you have any idea how long it takes to regenerate that?!\
'''Bill:''' (after being sprayed) I just regenerated that eye!
* ''WesternAnimation/TheGrimAdventuresOfBillyAndMandy''
** {{Subverted|Trope}} in "Recipe for Disaster" when Grim tries to sell scout cookies to a woman. She pepper sprays him, but [[NoSell because he has no eyes, it doesn't affect him]].
** In "My Peeps", after Billy is blinded after staring at the sun too long, an optometrist attempts to show him how simple and painless putting on a contact lens is. Unfortunately, he's putting a small realistic contact lens on a huge cartoony eye.
** In "[[Literature/HarryPotter Nigel Planter]] and the Chamber Pot of Secrets", Grim shrinks Billy down to use as a golf ball and accidentally hits Nigel in the eye. Billy comes out of Nigel's eye socket, then spits his eye out and puts it back in.
** In "Substitute Creature", Mandy hands Irwin a telescope and then promptly punches it into his eye socket.
** In "Fear and Loathing In Endsville", Grim and Dracula are roasting scorpions for food when the angry giant mother attacks them for eating her children. When Dracula insults her she stabs him in the eye with her giant stinger.
** In "Complete and Utter Chaos", Eris' Apple of Discord sprouts mechanical legs and breaks out of Grim's bottomless trunk, then wakes Billy up by putting one of its legs in his eye.
** In "A Kick in the Asgard", Odin introduces Billy to some other Asgardian figures. When he introduces Loki the latter has a slingshot, but Odin tells him to put it away and says "Remember what happened last time" as he points to his eyepatch[[note]]In Norse mythology, he traded his eye for a blessing of wisdom, but that's ignored for the sake of the joke[[/note]].
* ''WesternAnimation/GrizzlyTalesForGruesomeKids'' includes the story of "The Peeler", a character from a Victorian nursery rhyme who punishes children who refuse to go to sleep by peeling away their eyelids using an old-style potato peeler, and then carrying them around with him as a kind of macabre butterfly.
* One episode of ''WesternAnimation/HeManAndTheMastersOfTheUniverse2002'' had the hero defeat an EldritchAbomination by stabbing it in the eye and running it through.
* In the AprilFoolsDay episode of ''WesternAnimation/HeyArnold'', after getting fed up with Helga's pranks, Arnold gives her a gift box that, when opened, releases a flash of light that temporarily blinds her. Her vision returns quickly, but she fakes it lasting longer as part of a {{revenge}} prank.
* ''WesternAnimation/InvaderZim'':
** In "[[Recap/InvaderZimS1E2BestestFriend Bestest Friend]]", Zim is being stalked by his new best friend, Keef, for the whole episode, and in order to get rid of him, Zim uses mechanical claws to rip out his eyes and replace them with cybernetics. We all might mourn the show's untimely cancellation, but with stuff like that going on, it's a wonder it lasted on Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} as long as it did. It's only shown in silhouette, but that's quite sufficient.
** There's also the bit in "[[Recap/InvaderZimS1E5WalkOfDoom Walk of Doom]]" when Zim [[BlindedByTheSun looks straight at the sun]] and his eyes burn and bubble.
** In "[[Recap/InvaderZimS1E24BattleOfThePlanets Battle of the Planets]]", the Tallests bring up the ending of "[[Recap/InvaderZimS1E6Germs Germs]]", in which Zim covered himself in germ-free fast food meat. Apparently, after that episode, [[BodyHorror it fused to his flesh]] and he almost went blind when it invaded his eye sockets.
** In "[[Recap/InvaderZimS1E34GirGoesCrazyAndStuff GIR Goes Crazy and Stuff]]", a guy returns two audiobooks to the library, but after a retinal scan is told they're overdue. The librarian then cheerfully tells him that they'll have to [[DisproportionateRetribution confiscate his retinas]].
** At the beginning of "[[Recap/InvaderZimS1E36TakTheHideousNewGirl Tak: The Hideous New Girl]]", a kid gets hit in the eye with a wiener, denting it.
** There's also an episode in which Zim crashes his ship into a giant screen. Said crash is jarring enough to knock one of his eyes out, after which he simply picks it up and sticks it back in.
* ''WesternAnimation/Invincible2021'':
** In the Mauler Twins' first fight, one of the two takes [[MoeGreeneSpecial a bullet to the eyeball from a security guard]], and has to deal with the following fight with only one eye. Since the Mauler Twins are {{Omnidisciplinary Scientist}}s with a specialty in cloning biology, this is fixed later.
** Near the end of Season 1, [[spoiler:Immortal]] fights Omni-Man once more, and while he still gets soundly beaten and killed, the one blow he delivers that actually sticks is his near-death attempt to gouge Omni-Man's eyes out with his thumbs. While he's not blinded, his eyes remain red and irritated for the rest of the episode and the entirety of the next one.
* On ''WesternAnimation/JackieChanAdventures'', Hak Foo has an attack he [[CallingYourAttacks calls]] "Monkey Plucks Two Peaches" which involves jumping on his opponent's shoulders and gouging out their eyes with two fingers. The first time he does this he was merely demonstrating his skills to Valmont and the Enforcers and stopped his fingers millimeters before they reached Tohru's eyes. When he tries this on Uncle, Uncle catches his hand in time.
* ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague'':
** As part of Superman's nightmare in "[[Recap/JusticeLeagueS2E5And6OnlyADream Only a Dream]]", his heat vision activates continuously, like Cyclops from ''ComicBook/XMen''. He tries closing his eyes, and the beams destroy his eyelids!
** "[[Recap/JusticeLeagueUnlimitedS2E3TheDoomsdaySanction The Doomsday Sanction]]" has this nasty exchange. Superman's eyes eventually heal off-screen.
--->''[Superman uses heat vision to collapse the ceiling, but Doomsday easily lifts the rock off]''\
'''Doomsday:''' Ah, I remember. Those ''eyes''. ''[pins Supes to the wall, then punches him in the face with his spiked knuckles]''\
'''Superman:''' ''Ahhhh!''\
'''Doomsday:''' Let's see you do that again.
* ''WesternAnimation/KaBlam'': In the episode "Won't Crack or Peel", Henry and June enter a staring contest with [[NoFourthWall the audience]]. June has to take a leak, so she keeps her place by ''plucking her eyeballs out, [[{{Squick}} sticking them to the screen, and leaving them there.]]''
* ''WesternAnimation/KimPossible'' has a mild case in "Low Budget" when Kim pretends to put on a contact lens. She pokes herself in the eye without flinching, but a single tear falls from her eye.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/LittleAudrey'' short "Law and Audrey", Audrey accidentally hits a police officer with a baseball twice. The second time it happens, it gets lodged in his left eye, then when he's lambasting her he accidentally sends it into his right.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse'': At the beginning of "[[Recap/TheLoudHouseS4E6WashedUpRecipeForDisaster Washed Up]]", Lincoln gets sunscreen in his eye.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:M-R]]
* ''WesternAnimation/MakingFiends'': In the first short from "Shorts: Set 1", one of the scenes seen in the advertisement for Clamburg's onion stand depicts an onion with limbs poking a similarly limbed eye, causing it to drop tears.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Metalocalypse}}'':
** In one episode the music producer Dick Knubbler, after losing too much oxygen in the submarine, has his eyes explode.
** There's a particularly glorious one from [[HumanoidAbomination Salacia]] in the Season 1 finale.
--->''"Be blind."''
* In the ''WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse2013'' short "[[Recap/MickeyMouseS4E15TheFancyGentleman The Fancy Gentleman]]", Minnie signs Mickey up for a finishing school to mold him into a gentleman. When trying to drink a cup of tea with his pinky raised, he jabs himself in the eye.
* ''WesternAnimation/MuchaLucha'':
** Mentioned in one episode when Rikochet gets a ChainLetter; The Flea says that he knew a guy who got one and didn't forward it, then was subjected to misfortunes such as being hit in the chest, getting run over, getting impaled on a traffic cone, falling in a hay baler, and getting an upset stomach from eating bad fish, until his eyes finally popped out.
** In the ChristmasEpisode, one of the BadSanta's goblin workers has pinkeye that he gives to Buena Girl through direct contact. It gets progressively worse over the course of the episode until the last scene has her finally cover it up with an eyepatch.
* ''WesternAnimation/MyLifeAsATeenageRobot'': The MonsterOfTheWeek in "[[Recap/MyLifeAsATeenageRobotS1E6SeeNoEvilTheGreatUnwashed See No Evil]]" is a giant eyeball with tentacles named Infrared Ivan. When Jenny gets his eyeball irritated, he hears a street vendor advertising his eye drops... but the vendor is also selling hot sauce on the same cart. [[BlindMistake Guess which one Ivan grabs]]. It gets worse as he also ends up grabbing [[HumiliationConga a magnifying glass and a pointy stick]], [[SelfDisposingVillain severely weakening himself further]].
* ''WesternAnimation/TheOwlHouse'':
** Flapjack, Hunter's palisman, has had his left eye gouged out, leaving a massive scar on that side of his face. How it happened is unclear, but considering the size of the scar and the fact that Flapjack is just a little bird, it can't have been pretty.
** Principal Bump is blind in one eye and has a scar over the other one that is implied to impair its vision, leading him to [[SeeingThroughAnothersEyes wear his palisman Frewin]] as the magical equivalent to a seeing eye dog. It's unknown what caused the damage, but whatever it was happened when he was rather young since the earliest picture we have of him (taken when he was around Luz's age) shows him already using Frewin.
** [[spoiler:Eda and Lilith's father has a nasty scar over his left eye that left it blind. Unlike the other two, we know exactly what caused it... [[MyGreatestFailure Eda slashed it out in her cursed form]] when he accidentally triggered the Owl Beast's PTSD with a party popper. Eda's guilt over this (along with the mauling giving him nerve damage in one arm and [[CareerEndingInjury destroying his palisman making career]]) is what led her to run away from home shortly afterwards.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Pibby}}'': One of the key moments of Pibby [[InnocenceLost losing her innocence]] is losing her left eye in a bloody manner (pictured above), which she subsequently covers up with a bandage and later an EyepatchOfPower.
-->'''Pibby:''' What's that red water? I've never seen that before...
* ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls1998'':
** In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirlsS1E9BubbleviciousTheBareFacts Bubblevicious]]", during Bubbles' fight against the holographic monsters, she kicks one in the eye and then punches another's eye off.
** In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirlsS1E12TheRowdyruffBoys The Rowdyruff Boys]]", after the girls beat an octopus monster, it lands on top of Bubbles, who then bursts through its eye.
** In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirlss2E4BeatYourGreensDownNDirty Down 'N' Dirty]]", the girls fight a giant elephant monster with multiple eyes. Buttercup finishes it by punching it in one of its eyes, causing it to burst.
** In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirlsS3E3CrissCrossCrisis Criss-Cross Crisis]]", during the sequence of the girls fighting Mojo Jojo while the four of them keep changing into different bodies as the Professor tries to undo the mass FreakyFridayFlip that he accidentally caused, one of them turns into a fly and gets caught in Mojo's eye.
** In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirlsS6EP10SunScreamTheCityOfFrownsville Sun Scream]]", while the Girls are flying, a bird flies by ''and its beak pokes Buttercup in the eye.'' Ouch!
* In ''WesternAnimation/ReBoot'', [[spoiler:Matrix/Enzo gets his eye slashed out by the User during a Game]]. And this is [[WhamEpisode where the show took a darker turn]].
* In the ''WesternAnimation/RegularShow'' episode "Peeps", the [[FacelessEye titular character]] get blinded by a laser from Rigby during a staring contest. More subtly, Mordecai wins said contest because his eyes stop blinking. The irritation gets bad enough to vaporize eyedrops with radiant heat.
* One of the clips in Creator/DonHertzfeldt's short ''Rejected'' involves a multi-tentacled alien pulling out someone's eyes. That there is no blood and they come out with a silly "pop" helps [[NightmareRetardant make it less cringeworthy]].
* In ''WesternAnimation/TheRenAndStimpyShow'', Ren often poked Stimpy in the eyes once through his nostrils, and often when Ren got punched in the face his eyeballs would often be hanging out of his sockets, and one particularly painful-looking example is when Jimminy Lummox smashed Ren's face with his guitar and there is [[ArtisticLicenseBiology a bone sticking out of one of his eyes]].
** In "Lumber Jerks", Ren got stung in the eye by a hornet.
** In "Farm Hands", Ewalt gets his eyeball yanked out by a crow, but apparently he feels no pain.
** In "Sammy and Me", upon getting his Sammy Mantis kit, one of the items Stimpy gets is a false eye which he inserts like a lightbulb into one of his own eyes.
** In "Insomniac Ren", near the beginning, Stimpy pulls his eyes out, then squishes them into a container like someone would do with contacts.
** There was a scene in the episode "Sven Hoek" in which Ren graphically described how he would torture Sven and Stimpy. Although we didn't SEE anything, the sound effects of him gouging out their eyes played over the soundtrack. It was insanely unsettling.
** In "Out West", Abner jams his thumb into Ewalt's eye.
* ''WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty'':
** One of the commercials in "[[Recap/RickAndMortyS1E8RixtyMinutes Rixty Minutes]]" stars Ants-in-My-Eyes Johnson, who, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin as his name suggests]], has his eyes covered in a seemingly endless number of ants, but is completely numb to them.
** In "[[Recap/RickAndMortyS2E4TotalRickall Total Rickall]]", Summer flashes back to when she wanted Beth to drive her to school on picture day, only to find Beth drunk on wine. In her stupor, Beth accidentally hits Summer with the wine bottle and gives her a shiner.
** Near the end of "[[Recap/RickAndMortyS2E6TheRicksMustBeCrazy The Ricks Must Be Crazy]]", Rick and Zeep's last fight has Zeep sticking his thumbs in Rick's eyes.
** In "[[Recap/RickAndMortyS4E1EdgeOfTomortyRickDieRickpeat Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat]]", Wasp Rick mentions that his kind lay their eggs in prey's eyes so their larvae can eat their brains. When [[spoiler:Holo-Rick gains physical form and grows giant, Wasp Rick does exactly that, causing Holo-Rick's [[YourHeadAsplode head to explode open]] with larvae.]] Earlier, Wasp Summer ripped out Caterpillar Goldenfold's eye.
* ''WesternAnimation/RobotChicken'': A sketch based on ''Series/PeeWeesPlayhouse'' features Pee-Wee shopping at the grocery store with Penny, a claymation girl with pennies for eyes. When Pee-Wee tries to pay for his purchases, the clerk tells him he's two cents short. Pee-Wee then tears Penny's eyes off her face and uses them to pay the clerk, with Penny screaming "[[OwMyBodyPart My eyes! My eyes!]]" as he does this.
* ''WesternAnimation/RocketMonkeys'':
** In "Scare-Larious", Wally scares Gus when he's brushing his teeth, causing the latter to squirt toothpaste into his eyes and exclaim "IT BUUUUURNS!", then stop and calmly add "But minty fresh."
** In "Bro to Bro", Wally shoots a goop gun into his eyes twice, blinding him.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/{{Rugrats}}'' episode "[[Recap/RugratsS4E12SendInTheCloudsInTheNaval Send in the Clouds]]", when the babies think Tommy's house is in the sky, they put Stu's car keys in the bathtub drain because they think he'll fall off if he tries to drive. At the end of the episode, Stu uses his fishing rod to retrieve his keys and they hit him in the eye, [[ScreamDiscretionShot though it cuts to the outside of the house before we can see it happen and all we hear is his scream of pain]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:S-Z]]
* Downplayed in the ''WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack'' series finale, when all of Jack's friends and people he's saved Aku's palace, the Archer's arrive firing a slew of arrows. Even though Aku is immune to non-mystic weapons, the demon can't help but wince in pain because they shot his eyes.
-->'''Aku:''' Pathetic fools! ''(Eyes shot)'' Ugh!
* The legendary [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjgHbRrnjhU Sandman Animation]] from 1992. The titular Sandman jumps around the boy's bed, then swipes at his eyes when he opens them. Especially the post-credits sequence, oh god the post-credits sequence!
* The short Australian CGI spoof ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSPy_4HYqGs Samurice]]''. Ricesashi plucks out the eyeballs of the first ninja rice that attacks him.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheSecretShow'': In [[Recap/TheSecretShowS1E21MrAtom "Mr. Atom"]], Professor Professor finds himself on the receiving end of eye trauma after Pinky Woodle ends up going into his eye and spinning it like it's a hamster wheel.
* ''WesternAnimation/SkullIsland2023'': In [[Recap/SkullIsland2023S1E8YoullNeverCatchAMonkeyThatWay the first season's finale]], Kong gouges [[ExtraEyes two]] of [[BigBad the Kraken]]'s four eyes out when he stabs it in the head [[spoiler:with the wreckage of the human characters' ship. One of the Kraken's tentacles also injures Kong's eye, making it bleed and swell shut]].
* ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark'':
** "[[Recap/SouthParkS8E1GoodTimesWithWeapons Good Times With Weapons]]", where [[ButtMonkey Butters]] gets a ninja shuriken straight into the eye! ''Owww.''
** Two of Kenny's deaths involved his eyes being removed: in "[[Recap/SouthParkS1E8StarvinMarvin Starvin' Marvin]]" one of the mutant turkeys pecks out one of his eyes, and in "[[Recap/SouthParkS2E15SpookyFish Spooky Fish]]" the killer fish eats one of his eyes after pulling him into the bowl.
** Done quite graphically to WesternAnimation/StrawberryShortcake in "[[Recap/SouthParkImaginationland Imaginationland]]". To say nothing of the woodland critters' input on the matter.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Squidbillies}}'':
** At the beginning of "The Tiniest Princess", Early and Rusty are planning on robbing people on Halloween night. Early sprinkles chili powder in Rusty's eyes to prevent him from being identified.
** In "Lipstick on a Squid", part of the Cuylers becoming makeup testers is that they have their eyes propped open and rubbed with deodorant.
** "Dove in an Iron Cage" has a scene where Early gets shurikens embedded in both of his eyes.
* ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars'':
** [[Recap/StarWarsTheCloneWarsS1E9CloakOfDarkness "Cloak of Darkness"]]: Jedi Master Luminara Unduli gets steam in her eye when Ventress cuts open a pipe, leaving it red for the rest of the ensuing fight.
** [[Recap/StarWarsTheCloneWarsS2E9GrievousIntrigue "Grievous Intrigue"]] shows Commander Wolffe with a new cybernetic right eye that he didn't have the last time he was seen, and a large scar indicating ''why'' he has it. AllThereInTheManual informs us that the cause was a lightsaber to the face from Asajj Ventress.
** [[Recap/StarWarsTheCloneWarsS3E18TheCitadel "The Citadel"]]: Jedi Master Even Piell already lost one eye prior to ''Film/ThePhantomMenace'', and the strike team sent to rescue him manages to enter his cell with the perfect timing to prevent an interrogation droid from removing the other one.
* ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsRebels'': [[Recap/StarWarsRebelsS2E19TwilightOfTheApprentice "Twilight of]] [[Recap/StarWarsRebelsS2E20TwilightOfTheApprenticePartII the Apprentice"]] has the scene where [[spoiler:Maul]] blinds [[spoiler:Kanan]] with a lightsaber. It's mainly concealed by showing the actual attack [[SecondPersonAttack from the POV of the victim]], and later by the victim finding a mask to wear. However, there's a FreezeFrameBonus where the extent of the damage can be seen, and it's as gruesome as you'd expect.
* ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'':
** In [[Recap/StevenUniverseS3E1SuperWatermelonIsland "Super Watermelon Island"]], when Steven leads the Watermelon Stevens against Malachite and they all ColossusClimb onto her, one of them punches her in one of her four eyes.
** Some Gems have their gem placement on one of their eyes, which can be quite unsettling. While the Gems themselves don't seem to have a problem with it, it is implied that the gem does not function as an eye (with the exception of [[NonStandardCharacterDesign Nephrite]]), which implies that if two Gems with a gem on their left eye and their right eye [[FusionDance fused]], they would be blind.
** [[Recap/StevenUniverseS5E3OffColors "Off Colors"]] ''very'' heavily implies a major eye injury. [[spoiler: Lars dies as the robonoid he is sitting on explodes under him. When Steven rolls him on his back, his hair covers his right eye (even though it normally doesn't cover his face at all). It is pushed back after his revival, revealing a scar running all the way across his eye and eyelid, leaving little to the imagination in terms of what his hair was covering up.]]
** [[BrokenBird Pink Pearl]] has a partially damaged form and her left eye is cracked and presumably inoperable. The damaged eye is ''not'' where her gem is, as her gem is in her navel, indicating that the injury is psychological rather than physical and unique from when a Gem is usually injured or [[WasOnceAMan corrupted]].
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Superjail}}'' has an instance in the first season episode "Cold-Blooded" where a brutal serial killer accidentally kills himself when he falls and stabs himself in the eye with his own knife.
* In ''WesternAnimation/SuperMansion'', when Lex gets angry at Black Saturn, she makes one of his cans of energy drink explode in her hand and gets it in her eyes. This is followed by a less comedic example in the first season finale when during her battle against Rex after revealing herself as TheMole, she's blinded by a blast from his gauntlet, but her vision is back come the next episode.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/SupermanTheAnimatedSeries'' finale, Superman uses Darkseid's own Omega Beam vision to hurt him by simply clapping both hands over his eyes. It leaves the New God potentate with some pretty horrific facial scars.
* ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo'':
** In the episode "Knowledge", Starfire's BluntMetaphorsTrauma causes her to take the phrase "blind dating" {{literal|Minded}}ly and shoot Beast Boy in the eyes with her lasers.
** In "The Mask", the other Titans try to see what's under Robin's DominoMask, and removing it reveals him to be strikingly handsome underneath. The ending of the episode reveals that his handsome face was just another mask and his domino mask is used to hide that one of his eyes is a parasitic twin.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Tigtone}}'': In one episode, Tigtone and Helpy find a city where the inhabitants need to be constantly screaming because a creature that [[AbstractEater feeds on screams]] kills them in a split-second as soon as they stop. The creature is InvisibleToNormals, so in order to "see" it, Tigtone goes through MeatgrinderSurgery to replace his eyes with his ears to give him some form of echolocation.
* ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'':
** Plucky Duck gets stuck in an advanced WildTake (the "Clampett Corneal Catastrophe", an {{homage}} to Creator/BobClampett), transforming him into a giant eyeball with legs. After being pushed through the nurse's office door, he bounces off the walls, causing Elmyra (the aforementioned nurse) to cower in fear and protect herself with a very sharp scalpel. It gleams in the light, just in case you were unsure of just how razor-sharp it really was.
** In "Duck in the Dark" Plucky has a sleepover at Buster's and spends most of the night watching horror movies. Every time he closes his eyes he sees monsters, and at one point he tries to wake up Buster, but he has changed into a disgusting-looking monster that has one of his eyeballs hanging from a nerve.
* ''WesternAnimation/TomAndJerry'': One cartoon has Jerry tricking Tom into looking at ''something'' in his hands. When Tom looks, Jerry promptly punches Tom in the eye, causing him a lot of pain.
* ''WesternAnimation/TotalDramaIsland'': In "[[Recap/TotalDramaNotSoHappyCampersPartTwo Not So Happy Campers, Part Two]]", while the teams are transporting the crates, Courtney gets her eye stung by a bug and ends up with it swollen half-shut. While in the cartoon's stylized art it ends up looking a fairly inoffensive pink, the other characters' horrified reactions -- and a shot where it briefly pulses -- imply that it looks very bad.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie'':
** Played with. Besides the dramatic beginning and ending, the only dialogue from the final battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron consists of Megatron screaming, "I'LL RIP OUT YOUR OPTICS!" The ''Transformers'' wiki, Teletraan-I, interprets the scene differently: "I can ''see'' the splinter... It's ''right... there...''"
** There's also the scene where the Autobots get inside Unicron by crashing a rather pointy ship through one of his optics, which he ends up clutching in pain. Also, when they end up escaping Unicron, they do so by crashing through his other previously unwounded optic.
* ''WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime'':
** The Decepticon Breakdown is captured by human baddie Silas and disassembled so they can learn more about his inner workings. They start by gouging out his eye- er, optic. Granted, he feels no pain because they disabled his pain receptors, but the look of sheer horror on his face afterwards shows he's still suffering.
** ContinuityNod when [[spoiler: Megatron pulls a YouHaveFailedMe on Silas (ItMakesSenseInContext) and gives him over to Knock Out, who was... understandably upset about Breakdown]].
--->'''Knock Out:''' I will leave no fiber or ''fiber optic'' unexamined.
** Another example was during a fight three or so years ago in [[spoiler:an exploding Space Bridge between Cybertron and Earth where Arcee shoots out Shockwave's only]] eye. While the titan of a scientist was caught in the blast, [[spoiler: it was revealed that he had survived even that and even managed to repair the damage in the ensuing years.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/TronUprising'':
** First was in "Scars," where Dyson takes a disc to the face during a tense standoff between Programs and Isos, carving a large piece out of his head (eye included). Later, Dyson [[ColdBloodedTorture takes his frustrations out]] on Tron using a buzzsaw to mutilate him the way Dyson had been mutilated. Part of the damage is to Tron's left eye. In-series, much of the damage is covered by a disguise subroutine, but if that disguise is shut off...
** Secondly was Gorn and her code worms, corrupting subroutines that are loaded into hapless Prgrams by being shoved through their eyes.
* ''WesternAnimation/TucaAndBertie'': In the episode "[[Recap/TucaAndBertieS2E01BirdMechanics Bird Mechanics]]", a waitress is spooked by the restaurant catching fire and flings meat skewers into the chef's eyes.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheVentureBros'':
** Brock Samson gouged out the eye of his would-be lover and [[LoveAtFirstPunch frequent enemy]] Molotov Cocktease; he keeps it in a jar for sentimental value.
** That was nothing compared to Dr. Venture getting punched in the face and realizing that his eye is ''hanging out of its socket by a nerve''. They even [[ImpairmentShot showed a few seconds of his eyesight]].
** The shots from the POV of Venturestein, a corpse reanimated by Dr. Venture. At one point, a fly crawls over his eyeball. Then, while still on his eye, it gets ''swatted''.
** In the pilot, Brock drives his thumbs into The Monarch's eyes, and inserts his wings in him.
* An episode of ''WesternAnimation/XavierRenegadeAngel'' features a vulture ripping out a dying man's eye and then flying away. The camera then briefly switches to the perspective of the eye as the crow flies away.
* Features briefly on ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice2010'' in the battle between Match and Superboy. Match shoots heat vision straight into Superboy's eyes, and they visibly smoke for a moment while Superboy screams in pain. It didn't do any real damage, but it wasn't pleasant to watch.
