* Inverted in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey_YTonet1Y&list=UU3Q13RAmFVfDkYOWnnqFM2A this trailer]]. Apparently the devil sold himself to our protagonist.
* ''Podcast/DeathByDying'': The Angel of Death explains that [[spoiler: The Angel of Life offers people the chance to revive their dead loved ones but doesn't tell them that the deal will cost them their own life. She makes this deal with Charlotte and is implied to have tried to make this deal with Isaiah Goodwin.]]
* ''WebVideo/DoctorHorriblesSingAlongBlog'': an interesting twist version of the Ordeal, where Mephistopheles' (Bad Horse) offer to the Faustus (Billy) is, effectively, to ''help rule "Hell"'' if he'll just kill one person, ''anyone'' (but don't back out -- [[ImpliedDeathThreat then the blood on the ground might be his]])... the Faustus accepts, believing he will be able to use this authority to reconstruct a better world, but by carrying out his assignment ends up abandoning his original motivations, ethics, and, indeed, [[TitleDrop everything he ever]] made the deal for in the first place... which was, presumably, the point of the ordeal to begin with. Ladies and gentlemen, Dr. Faustus: The Musical!
* ''Website/FantasyPowersLeague'': The Broker's main schtick, name your superpower and it's yours, as long as you're willing to pay it forward...
* ''WebVideo/FrenchBaguetteIntelligence'': Discussed in ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpJsxB4N61I The Metaverse Nightmares - Does Reality Matter?]]'', Gringo compares advanced virtual reality to [[Myth/{{Faust}} Faust's]] deal with Mephistopheles; able to have anything he wants, at the cost of finding everything unsatisfying because nothing requires effort to accomplish.
* ''Literature/WhateleyUniverse'':
** The mutant codenamed Gypsy gave her soul to The Kellith and accepted a demon mark in exchange for what Gypsy wanted most. Confidence. Since Carmilla has killed The Kellith, Gypsy is now bonded to Carmilla, and things are looking a lot better for her.
** One of the Bad Seeds, Nephandus, is well-known for making deals with malevolent entities from Beyond. Too bad for his ally Jobe that he didn't think to ask Nephandus for help when [[GenderBender she]] tried the same thing with her ArchEnemy [[HotAsHell Carmilla]].
** When three dark sorcerers summoned the demon '''''BKCRMWDJVG''''', they failed to secure it completely inside of the summoning circle. The result was that the demon ate all three and proceeded to start hunting virgins in Los Angeles. The difficulty the demon had in finding virgins of the appropriate age in LA is lampshaded by Phase, who was the one who discovered it - at a beauty contest.
* In WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic's review of Care Bears II, he made a deal with the Bennett The Sage who was pretending to be the devil. Instead his soul, Critic gave Bennett all of his money to forget all about Sequel Month. Bennett pointed out that he wasn't really the devil but still made the deal anyway when Critic said he'd give him everything. [[note]] Regrettably, there were no forced stripteases involved.[[/note]]
** Word of Malcolm says that if Hyper ever made a deal, Satan would give her Critic's soul in exchange.
** In the DVD review of "The Review Must Go On", he mocks and acknowledges that it's played more like Doug selling his soul to the Critic-devil rather than just bringing a show back.
** Nothing gets [[WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall Linkara]] into an angry rant like ''One More Day'', in which '''"Spiderman! Makes a deal! With the devil!!!"''' It has almost become one of his Catch Phrases.
* [[http://everything2.com/title/The+demon+was+just+under+three+feet+tall The Demon was Just Under Three Feet Tall]].
* The cast of ''Blog/SevenshotKid'' are absolutely terrible with this.
* The entire premise of [[http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/243164 Lilium]] is essentially this.
* In ''ARG/DarkDreamChronicle'', going through Session gives you enhanced strength, stamina, endurance, brainpower, you name it, all at the low low price of giving your Soul to [[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos "the Master"]]. Also, if you aren't Immune, you die horribly around the age of 27. Oh, and if you get picked to be an Enforcer, you get all of your emotions removed. Have fun~
* ''Website/SCPFoundation'':
** [[http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-738 SCP-738]] is a usually invisible entity that makes such deals. The price paid for a deal is something intended to cause emotional pain to the person making the deal, like the death of a best friend or losing all memories of one's mother. Interestingly, when a test subject who is severely mentally handicapped is sent in to make a deal, the entity accepts the ridiculous terms (a sloppy joe sandwich for a toy)... [[EvenEvilHasStandards but then sighs once it's complete]]. And when they sent one of their [[EvilLawyerJoke lawyers]] in, the result was a 900+ page document detailing the terms of the deal, which didn't even get finished because the lawyer collapsed from exhaustion after spending 41 hours negotiating with the entity. When the lawyer woke up, he found a note in his pocket: "[[WorthyOpponent Please come back any time. I haven't had so much fun in years]]."
*** They try to use it to get rid of [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-682 SCP-682]]. Specifically, a researcher asks it "What would you want in exchange for permanently destroying the entity which we refer to as SCP-682 while leaving this planet, its biosphere, its human population, its human civilization, the SCP Foundation, and the rest of the universe intact?" It replies "Your Foundation couldn't afford it, and you ''personally'' '''definitely''' couldn't afford it."
*** An alien, eventually classified as [[http://lafundacionscp.wikidot.com/scp-es-007 SCP-ES-007-B]], from the Spanish section of the site, came to Earth from Europa seeking the entity's help, calling it "the trickster, the dragon charmer, the inconceivable, the ineffable, the rite", which trades anything for some thing he finds attractive. He also mentions it's not the only one, that no one knows why it does whatever it is that it does or even how, and that it has altered its shape many times from whatever TimeAbyss spawned it. While the observers were not privy to the details of the discussion, the poor guy collapsed in despair after finally talking with the entity.
** [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2791 SCP-2791 ("Fauste Bank plc")]]. When someone wants to make a deal with the forces of Evil, they can use the services of SCP-2791 to avoid the nasty consequences of doing so. How? By constructing a ludicrously complex network of deals with tens of thousands of devils in such a way that all the incurred debts pay themselves and/or fall on someone else, leaving you to benefit.
** [[http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-3034 SCP-3034]] is a [[DirtyCommunists Soviet WMD]] PoweredByAForsakenChild that the Reds apparently sacrificed to an EldritchAbomination in exchange for the power to destroy America. Now all that's left is a NumbersStation with a CreepyChild counting backward from 200, with an ApocalypticLog leaving explicit instructions to [[NothingIsScarier not let her finish]].
** PlayedForLaughs with [[http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-3061 SCP-3061]], a demon named Fendsmul who offers deals often in exchange for the souls of the summoner's children rather than their own. The Foundation recovered their copy of the book detailing the rituals to summon it from a man who was readily willing to sacrifice his own children to pay off his debt, [[EvenEvilHasStandards which royally pissed it off]]. Later on the Foundation offers ''it'' a deal in which they'd get rid of other annoying "clients" in exchange for information on their whereabouts, to which it responds [[WowingCthulhu "...Did you just offer me a fucking deal?"]] before accepting.
** [[http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-4002 SCP-4002]] was a deal between a Sumerian king named Etana and a hostile deity known as the Black Moon, who made him sacrifice [[TheMagicGoesAway magic and humanity's biblical longevity]] for an unspecified amount of time in exchange for a son. The anomalies the Foundation have encountered are supposedly a result of [[TheMagicComesBack humanity's end of the deal concluding]].
** [[http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-4166 SCP-4166]] was a girl who made a deal with the devil seeking protection from the PedophilePriest abusing her. In return she was turned into a [[SuccubiAndIncubi succubus]] that requires 1 cc of human semen a week to live while being accosted by shadowy demons on a regular basis.
* This [[http://www.theonion.com/video/witch-who-granted-beyonce-beauty-and-fame-takes-si,27002/ news story]] from Website/TheOnion suggests that Music/{{Beyonce}} made a deal with a witch for talent and fame in exchange for her first child. And as soon as Blue Ivy Carter was born...
* In ''Literature/FateByBlades'' there is a devil-esque figure who makes deals with mortals, often with the condition that someone involved with said deal take a demonic consort. The opening antagonist, Gilliam, does this but later breaks his end of the deal, causing his whole rebellion to fail, while Lucas makes a similar deal to acquire a demonic consort to tempt Kona over to his side. Lucas is more successful as Kona ends up joining him.
* Kyle from ''Literature/StatlessAndTactless'' considers any deal made with Joe to be a devil's bargain. The fact Joe is clearly evil and makes his posts in red text doesn't help.
* The Cleanser from the ''Literature/SporewikiFictionUniverse'' seems to zig-zag this trope. On one hand, he often grants people deals in exchange for their souls. On the other hand, he uses his ownership of your soul for benevolent purposes, and, though he often tricks you, he does so to maximize the benefit he gains from the deal, and any harm this causes you is merely a side effect. In addition, most deals with him are stated to go fine.
** To make it even more confusing, he does collect the souls he owns after their deaths and put you in a lake filled with lava and instruments of torture, but, once he feels you have made up for your accumulated sins, he alters you such that this results in orgasmic pleasure rather than agonizing pain.
** Ultimately, whether or not a deal with the Cleanser counts as a deal with the devil depends on whether or not you view the Cleanser as a good or evil character.
* According to ''Website/SFDebris'' [[Series/StarTrekVoyager Janeway]] became a Starfleet captain by sacrificing the souls of Omicron Theta to the Devil (by means of the crystalline entity), and has him on speed dial. It's definitely a business relationship, because she dismisses the advice of her [[GoodAngelBadAngel shoulder devil]] as "religious crap".
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IytcKwW0yTs "Who Do You Want Me To Kill"]] has the devil come to a young man named Simon with the offer to kill one, and only one, person of his choice. [[spoiler: Simon decides to have the devil kill "the person who has hurt him the most". Simon immediately drops dead.]]
* Sweden makes one in [[http://www.funnyjunk.com/channel/polandball/Sweden+goes+to+iceland/eksDLrx this]] {{Polandball}} comic.
* ''WebVideo/PokemonPals'': Misty compares making a deal with Giovanni to this.
* Averted in ''Literature/VoidDomain''. Demons tend to be more mercenary than wish granters. Fae fulfill the deal with the devil role in their place.
* The first episode of ''WebVideo/MyLittlePonyTotallyLegitRecap'' reveals that Shinning Armour (with help from Twilight) made one these to get Princess Candace to marry him, in exchange for his first born child. This causes some issues, when Flurry Heart is born...
* ''[[Website/NotAlwaysRight Not Always Learning]]'' has a student telling the professor they don't have a soul because "[[https://notalwaysright.com/finish-your-thesis-or-youll-have-the-devil-to-pay/ I sold mine to the Devil to finish my senior thesis]]."
* ''WebAnimation/{{Dreamscape}}'': Keela made one with The Master of the Dammed in order to [[DemonOfHumanOrigin become a demon.]]
* ''WebAnimation/MyLittlePonyMeets'': ''VideoGame/{{Cuphead}}'' reveals that the [[spoiler: [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Rainbow Dash of G4]] is actually ''the same pony'' as the [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyG3 Rainbow Dash of G3]], before the latter made a deal with TheDevil to become the former.]] This causes problems, when Cuphead and Mugman are sent after her...
* Played for laughs in one Creator/AchievementHunter Let's Play involving ''VideoGame/MarioKart8'', where Creator/MichaelJones suggests that Matt Bragg's insane skill with the game is because of this trope.
* ''Literature/UnderTheColdMoon'' reveals two-thirds of the way in that [[spoiler:Siegfried made one with Ithaqua. In exchange for immortality, Siegfried planned on summoning Ithaqua into our universe, and it would end up freezing the entire planet for Siegfried to control]].
* In ''WesternAnimation/HazbinHotel'': we have [[DemonOfHumanOrigin Alastor the Radio Demon]] offer to sponsor Charlie's sinner-redeeming hotel in what is implied to be a part of some evil scheme. The funny part is that Charlie, being the daughter of [[{{Satan}} Lucifer]], [[DemonLordsAndArchdevils technically outranks him.]] She's also GenreSavvy enough to do her best to [[DefiedTrope Defy]] the trope: she refuses to make an explicit deal with him and instead ''orders'' him to help out... for as long as he desires.
* In the first series episode of ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss'' Stolas forces Blitzo into a rather one-sided deal for the grimoire Blitzo stole after sleeping with Stolas. On the full moon Blitzo returns the book and he and Stolas spend a night of [[SexForServices "passionate fornication"]] together, in return Blitzo gets to keep the book the rest of the month and use it to produce portals to the mortal realm for his MurderInc. For bonus points Stolas calls while Blitzo is running for his life from a surprisingly well-armed target and is in no position to negotiate.
* Happens throughout both campaigns in ''WebVideo/CriticalRole''
** In Campaign 1, it's implied in his backstory video that Percy's inspiration when creating Exandria's [[FantasyGunControl first firearm]] was diabolical in nature. [[spoiler: It's later revealed that he unknowingly made a deal with a shadow demon named Orthax, who promised him vengeance against the people who murdered his family, in exchange for the souls of those whose names appear on [[DesignatedBullet The List]]. He then went on to do it again ''on purpose'' - this time with an actual devil - to get the party access to Hotis before he could regenerate]]
** Campaign 2 has Fjord, a Hexblade warlock who made a deal with a mysterious entity after nearly drowning in a shipwreck. As the campaign progresses, we learn it's identity: [[spoiler: [[KrakenAndLeviathan Uk'otoa]], a sealed demi-god who would very much like to be released by his new follower, and has no qualms with [[OrWasItADream turning]] [[BroughtDownToNormal nasty]] when Fjord feels [[FaustianRebellion reluctant]] about following through.]]
* ''Literature/TheNewHanselAndGretel'': Mathair sells Jack and Jamie the Miller House very cheap. Unfortunately for them, the contract they signed was magical and they lose their free-will and autonomy, turning them into her own "adopted babies" for the rest of their lives. But hey, they got a pinball machine out of it, right?
* Creator/DanielThrasher: In "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRWuYHNjc84 When you wanna be an artist]]", [[{{Satan}} Stan]] offers to make Daniel's artistic career successful in return for his soul. However, Daniel accepts the offer before he could finish his VillainSong, completely ignoring the warnings of [[CelebrityIsOverrated the tragic consequences that could come from being a star]]. It ends with Stan deciding not to go through the with deal when he sees how little Daniel understands what he is offering and Daniel stabbing himself with a knife, all too ready to sign in his own blood.
* Two of Creator/ChrisFleming's videos feature Davis, [[InsistentTerminology He-Niece]] of Lucifer, and how apparently Chris made one of these with him-a lifetime of servitude in exchange for the [[WebVideo/{{Gayle}} COMPANY IS COMING]] video going viral. Chris is mostly exasperated by this, as it mostly consists of watching ''Series/JudgeJudy'' and having what is blatantly the [=AirBNB=] logo on his hip, despite Davis claiming he created it first.
-->'''Chris:''' It's got a micropenis right in the middle.\
'''Davis:''' [[BerserkButton IT'S NOT A MICROPENIS!]]
* Parodied in ''Podcast/AcquisitionsIncorporated'' when the party needs divine intervention (or infernal, Omin's not being picky), by involving business negotiations that one of the players compares to ''[[Series/DragonsDen Shark Tank]]'':
-->'''Asmodeus:''' And so this is what I propose: I would like 45% of your soul. You will still have the controlling share. Having a 45% stake in this enterprise will allow me to occasionally call upon you for services. Otherwise, you may go about doing the amazing work you do getting the money.\
'''Omin:''' 25%.\
'''Asmodeus:''' Of ''course'' you would negotiate.
* According to ''WebVideo/DrGlaucomflecken'', this is what working as a peer-to-peer review doctor for a health insurance company amounts to, and one therefore should shed no tears over their treatment.
--> The captured physician is an unscrupulous individual who was promised untold riches in exchange for his soul.
