That Long-Haired Creepy Guy, aka The Creepy One, is a guy with long hair, who may or may not actually be creepy.

An internet reviewer of television programs, cartoons, softcore erotica, porn parodies, and telefilms, he got his start in the blogs section of Website/ChannelAwesome after several failed attempts involving faulty editing software. Unlike most reviewers, he typically avoids the CausticCritic routine, preferring to look at a subject's positive and negative points.

His primary review series, Looking Back in Annoyance, was inspired from the last episode of ''WesternAnimation/{{Daria}}'', and explored the medium of television in the hopes of showcasing how it could be improved. A particular example of this was a segment called 'Pilot Lite', where he reviewed failed TV pilots, judging whether there was something salvageable in the pitched show or not.

In March of 2014, after Website/YouTube shut down his channel (he had already lost his Blip page during the Blip Purge of the previous year), he reopened a second channel featuring some new shows as well as a few of his classic reviews. One of these new shows is [[AlliterativeTitle "Creepy and Chibi-Cthulu's Cinematic Critique"]], which has him and his EldritchAbomination sidekick, Chibi-Cthulu, review movies from various parts of geek culture. Unlike most review shows, Creepy tends to focus on movies he finds good or appealing. He's also doing a series of episode-by-episode retrospectives, including ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDoo'', ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'', ''WesternAnimation/XMenTheAnimatedSeries'', the 1980s ''ComicStrip/{{Garfield}}'' specials, and ''WesternAnimation/JemAndTheHolograms''. He had successfully completed ''Garfield'' and ''Jem'', and was beginning retrospectives of ''WesternAnimation/{{Ducktales|1987}}'' and ''Series/{{Supernatural}}'' (the first live-action show to get this treatment on his main channel, though not on Midnight Wank Theater) before his channel's termination.

A spin-off series, Midnight Wank Theater, takes a look at the best of the worst in late-night softcore, as well as modern porn parody flicks. This is similar in tone to the Cinema Snob's 'Softly From Cable'... but with the Creepy One sitting in an easy chair [[MrFanservice in a bathrobe and Mardi Gras mask.]]

In addition to reviewing, he is also a published author, whose books can be found [[http://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/store/index.php?cPath=55_422 here]] [[{{NSFW}} (not necessarily SFW!)]]

Previously, he could be found on [[http://www.manic-expression.com/ Manic Expression]]. You can also check out his [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgqjZ0OJvyk7k5NEtPev_MA main page]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdlzjFJ-IMeE9JF40omlscA Midnight Wank Theater]] (NSFW) on Website/YouTube.

On December 1, 2020, [[https://twitter.com/TLHCG/status/1333893104856936456 Creepy's YouTube channel was disabled]] due to copyright strikes, with the channel shutdown being cited as [[https://twitter.com/TLHCG/status/1337791505084375041 "permanent"]] on December 12. While he currently retains both his videos and the Midnight Wank Theater channel, Creepy is currently seeking a new platform to air the rest of his content on... And he seems to have found them in [[https://vimeo.com/user22049662 Vimeo]] and [[https://onlyfans.com/tlhcg Only Fans]], where he started slowly reuploading ''The Scooby-Doo Retrospective'' in April of 2021, with plans to do ''Jem'' next.

!!Tropes associated with this creator:
* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: [[invoked]] Kindle Foxfire theorizes that Jem is really about how Jerrica had a psychotic break after her father died, and ended up in a sanitarium where she hallucinates about being a famous singer who has everything she's ever wanted.
* AlliterativeTitle: '''C'''reepy and '''C'''hibi-'''C'''thulu's '''C'''inematic '''C'''ritique.
* {{Angrish}}: Chibi-Cthulu's speech often degenerates into this when a show is sufficiently offensive to him.
* BerserkButton
** Not Creepy himself, but Chibi-Cthulu does not like ''WesternAnimation/{{Jem}}''. '''At all.''' Which makes the fact that they're doing a retrospective on the entire show that much more amusing from a Schadenfreude perspective.
** Both (particularly Creepy) have an immense dislike of ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooReturnToZombieIsland'' due to the disrespect it shows to the first zombie island movie as well as going back on many of the changes they felt improved the formula from [[WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooAndTheCurseOfThe13thGhost the previous Scooby movie]].
** Disrespecting Mothra is also one for both of them. Her somewhat quick defeat and death in [[Film/GodzillaMothraKingGhidorahGiantMonstersAllOutAttack GMK]] sends them both into a RapidFireNo rant and Decker insulting Mothra during their review of ''Film/RebirthOfMothra2'' enrages Chibi-Cthulu to the point of outright attacking him.
** Naturally, as a bisexual man himself, Creepy gives a DeathGlare when he reviewed ''Film/GameraVsGyaos'' with WebVideo/DeckerShado upon learning that the version they're watching spelled the latter monster's name as "Gaes" and is disgusted at Kia's use of a homophobic slur to mock Freddy Krueger in ''Film/FreddyVsJason''.
* BigBeautifulMan: 6'4", stocky, and an imposing presence when put up against...well, almost anyone else.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: [[invoked]] He will discuss such moments, but he calls them "Blue-Thonged Gay Stripper Moments".
* TheCameo: Appeared in Timdiana's 'More Than Meets the Eye' review trilogy twice.
* CatchPhrase: Originally, "And now, because [insert here], it's time for Looking Back in Annoyance. With your host, That Long-Haired Creepy Guy."
** Also, his send-off blessing at the end of every review.
** Currently, his greeting seems to be "Salutations, and welcome to [insert here]"
** "Stay safe, and we'll see you next Wank" for the end of Midnight Wank Theater.
* CausticCritic:
** Averted with Creepy himself. He doesn't go for the whole 'angry reviewer' shtick. Many people find this to be a breath of fresh air.
** Chibi-Cthulu, on the other hand, has a tendency to go for the jugular.
* CoolShades: Part of his "Creepy" regalia. Midnight Wank Theater switches them out for an elaborate, gaudy Mardi Gras mask.
* CovertPervert: Kindle, despite being an adorable tiger with an equally cute VerbalTic, has already exhibited a marked interest in [[SizeShifter Size Shifters]].
* {{Crossover}}: Did this with fellow Internet reviewer WebVideo/DeckerShado, [[CatchPhrase "the internet personality with the best hair"]], after Decker tried dipping his toe into the Creepy One's territory by reviewing ''Return to the Planet of the Apes''. Creepy did not approve. [[ThoseTwoGuys And has done so again many times since.]]
* CulturedBadass: Going by appearances, and his manner of speech, he is this. The Creepy One could be best described as what might happen if the host of Masterpiece Theater became a Hell's Angel.
* DarkIsNotEvil:
** Looks like something between a {{Goth}} and a BadassBiker, but is in fact a reasonable and level-headed reviewer.
** Chibi-Cthulu, for being an EldritchAbomination in plush size, is probably the least scary version of the guy we've ever seen, and not just because he's cute.
* DeadpanSnarker:
** His whole reviewing style is full of this.
** Chibi-Cthulu's newfound ability to speak takes this up to eleven.
* DeepSouth: Lived there until 2021, though you wouldn't know it going by his manner of speech.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: Creepy apparently managed to trap Chibi-Cthulu and reduce him to his current state.
* EverythingsCuterWithKittens: Plushie tigers, anyway, but this explains Kindle.
* ExecutiveMeddling: [[invoked]] Cites this as the cause for why most TV shows end up being unwatchable.
* HypocriticalHumor: Chibi-Cthulu ''hates'' [[WesternAnimation/JemAndTheHolograms Jem]]...or so he claims. Cue the second episode of Creepy's "Jemtrospective", which opens with Chibi singing the original theme song in a dream -- and then he's singing it ''again'' over the credits.
* IronicName: More than one person has noted that he is nowhere near as 'creepy' as the name suggests.
* IronicNickname: His name comes from what people in the area where he lives would say as he walked by, i.e. 'There goes that long-haired creepy guy.' The online community by far sees this as a malapropism.
* LetMeGetThisStraight: Creepy and Chibi give one of these in the review of the ''WesternAnimation/{{DuckTales|1987}}'' episode "Whale of a Bad Time" over how needlessly complex Scrooge's scheme to transport his entire fortune to settle a bet is.
* LongHairedPrettyBoy: Subverted. He's a bit too rough to fit the archetype. He fits better into the {{Bara}} category.
* MrFanservice: for TheBear crowd. He's a BigBeautifulMan, tall and stocky, with a penchant for reviewing certain things in nothing but his underwear, a hat, and shades.
* NerdsAreVirgins: Was subjected to this trope throughout high school. In reality, he'd solved that little problem via a technicality, but couldn't be bothered to inform anyone.
* NonIndicativeName: Kindle [=FOXfire=] is a tiger. And the less [[HotBlooded fiery]] of the two plushie sidekicks at that.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Creepy is usually pretty calm but he has been known to get angry from time to time. The most extreme example comes in his review of ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooReturnToZombieIsland'', he views the movie as a massive insult to [[WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooOnZombieIsland the original film]] (which is one of his favorite scooby movies) and spends the entire reviews in an agitated state which eventually culminates in a rage-fueled rant. Even the generally more temperamental Chibi-Cthulu is concerned by this.
* OnceAnEpisode: Chibi-Cthulhu/Kindle have two:
** A spoiler warning that also warns about two or three random things in the upcoming episode.
** A SpoofAesop at the end.
* ThePornomancer: Let's face it, the man knows a thing or three about the porn industry, and should probably be directing one by now. If the rumors about his love life are any indication, he's done things that most guys would shoot their own mothers to experience.
%%* PrecisionFStrike: He's pretty low-key as far as swearing goes.
* RapidFireNo: The review of the ''WesternAnimation/XMenTheAnimatedSeries'' two-parter "Storm Front" opens with a quiet one by Chibi-Cthulu as it opens with a dedication to Norm Spencer (who voiced ComicBook/{{Cyclops}} on the show) and Creator/ChadwickBoseman (the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse ComicBook/BlackPanther), who both passed away weeks before and within days of each other.
* RedOniBlueOni:
** Whenever he reviews with WebVideo/DeckerShado, or does a review where Chibi-Cthulu speaks, he ends up as the Blue Oni to their Red.
** As far as his plushie companions go, [[EverythingsCuterWithKittens Kindle]] is rapidly shaping up to be the Blue Oni to [[EldritchAbomination Chibi-Cthulu]]'s Red.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter:
** His Chibi-Cthulhu plushie. Also doubles as a CompanionCube, as one of his intros shows him arguing with it as if it were real. Fitting, considering it's SuddenlySpeaking later on.
** His latest plug on the WebVideo/GayComicGeek's website introduces a tiger with a deep voice (name later revealed to be Kindle).
* ScrewedByTheNetwork:
** Any show that had this happen to it will most likely be covered by him at some point.
** It happened to his own channel in 2020, thanks to Website/YouTube's stricter copyright policies.
* SealedEvilInATeddyBear: Apparently Chibi-Cthulu is the actual Cthulhu trapped in a plushie body, stripped of most of his power and forced to review with Creepy. How exactly this occurred has not been made clear.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: He dips into this on occasion, though not often enough that it's difficult to follow.
* {{Squee}}:
** He's more subdued about it, most of the time, but his ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'' retrospective has been one long fangasm.
** In his ''WesternAnimation/XMenTheAnimatedSeries'' retrospective, Chibi-Cthulu gets like this every time ComicBook/{{Storm|MarvelComics}} is onscreen.
* SharedUniverse: Due to a lot of technicalities, mainly related to cameos, Creepy is part of the Reviewaverse.
* StalkerWithACrush: A couple of reviews hint that he is one.
* UrbanLegendLoveLife: This plagued him while he worked for a certain retail chain.
* VerbalTic: [[RidiculouslycuteCritter Kindle]], his plush [[EverythingsCuterWithKittens tiger]] sidekick for Midnight Wank Theater, has a habit of peppering his sentences with cute, if deep, "mrrraow"-ing sounds.
--> '''Kindle:''' "Hey, I'm a cute tiger. Cute tigers must say [[ShapedLikeItself cute tiger-y things]]. It's what the Internet expects!"
* WorldOfWeirdness: The Reviewaverse: He has a talking Cthulhu plushie for a sidekick, of course he lives in a very weird universe.
