Arin Hanson (born January 6, 1987), also known by his internet alias Egoraptor, is an accomplished and popular [[WebAnimation web animator]], voice actor, rapper, and Internet personality.

His best-known animated work is the ''WebAnimation/AwesomeSeries'', but he also has a huge following as a founding member of ''WebVideo/GameGrumps'', the "Grump" to Dan Avidan (AKA Danny Sexbang of Music/NinjaSexParty)'s "Not-So-Grump." ("Not-So-Grump" was formerly [[WebVideo/JonTron Jon Jafari]] until he left to focus on his own work.) Hanson and NSP also collaborated to form the musical act Music/{{Starbomb}}.

In 2013, Hanson married Suzy Berhow, another Internet personality. Aside from having her own online following, Berhow is a recurring guest on various Grumps series, including ''WebVideo/SteamTrain'', ''WebVideo/TableFlip'', and the Valentine's Day special ''Date Grumps''.

Hanson is known on ''Game Grumps'' for having a boisterous on-screen personality that often shifts between ironic overconfidence, powerful rage and sudden self-loathing, as well as using many strange and silly voices[=/=]characters. Off-screen, he is much more mellow and quiet, though this hasn't stopped many fans from demonizing Arin as thick-headed and deliberately frustrating.

!!Tropes Egoraptor's work displays:
* ArtEvolution: His work has gotten noticeably more refined in the years he has been animating. He views his time working at MTV negatively for, presumably, a variety of reasons. But the main reason or at least, the only one he's willing to discuss, is because they never let him grow as an artist. MTV wanted his work to look as bad artistically as Awesome the Hedgehog.]
* TheBerserker: As far as his Let's Play career goes, Arin prefer rushing in swinging wildly and hates being made to wait around or strategize in games. This is one of the biggest reasons he is such a detractor of 3D Zelda games such as ''Ocarina of Time'' and ''Skyward Sword''.
* BladeLock: With [=OneyNG=] in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW33qFi28d0 Lightsaber Fightsaber: Episode IV]]. The sabers end up being pushed out of the way, [[HoYay allowing the two to kiss]].
* CloudCuckooLander: It doesn't take much to make him go off on a wacky tangent. This is most frequently seen on episodes of ''Game Grumps'', which are ten-plus minutes each of long string of consciousness.
* ClusterFBomb: Lampshaded by Egoraptor himself in ''WebVideo/{{Sequelitis}}''. [[http://gamegrumps.tumblr.com/post/78242580091/shiny-zorua-fuck Collected here.]]
-->'''Egoraptor:''' I know you're not a stupid kid, 'cause I say "FUCK" a lot and you're okay with that.
* ComplainingAboutShowsYouDontWatch: Arin is one of the most well known detractors of the game ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSkywardSword''. However, he has admitted he not only never beat the game, but didn't even play it very far before giving up on it altogether (that point being bomb bowling, which apparently Arin could just not figure out with the motion controls).
* DerangedAnimation: His signature style. Characters rarely stay on-model, there's many a BigLippedAlligatorMoment in the art, and scenes frequently transition from one to another for no reason.[[invoked]]
* ICantDance: Arin has repeatedly stated that he's not good at dancing despite competing in season 3 of the Youtube reality competition show ''Dance Showdown''. [[spoiler:He won the season anyway.]]
* InTheStyleOf: His [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbpuzYtp43Q Console Vs. PC]] video is done in the style of Creator/JohnKricfalusi's cartoons, specifically ''WesternAnimation/RenAndStimpy''.
* InTouchWithHisFeminineSide: '''Oh is he ever'''. He was reportedly more interested in feminine culture as a teenager, [[https://twitter.com/egoraptor/status/213447286905253888 has said]] that female characters appeal to him, and makes for a [[StupidSexyFlanders questionably]] [[AttractiveBentGender attractive]] [[http://i.imgur.com/1dSzqQ2.jpg woman]].
* {{Irony}}: For all his hatred of mandatory tutorials, he's a strong argument towards them being required.
* LargeHam: He'll frequently turn things up as loud as he can, whether it be live on ''Game Grumps'' or during one of his animations.
* ManOfAThousandVoices: He's been everything from himself, to both men and women, to everyone in the same show with the ''Awesome Series''.
* MasochistsMeal: His guest appearance on ''Hot Pepper Gaming''. The thing nearly kills him.
--> "There's one thing I didn't mention, I forgot, ''my mouth is fucking '''burning'''''."
* MondegreenGag: His video "[[Franchise/StreetFighter Blanka]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SL_x1rRg7mM Makes Pound Cake]]", which has a punchline of Ryu saying "I'D LIKE SOME ''POUND'' CAKE!", referencing his pronunciation of "Tatsumaki Senpukyaku".
* NWordPrivileges: While it’s arguable as to whether he had them in the first place, he has publicly stated that he does not have them now, chalking up past instances of using the word (both [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wju7fX62vyY on]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1w07XZbdSQ out]][[https://youtu.be/scOWoUruKCY?t=1m54s side]] ''Game Grumps'') to OldShame.
* OrphanedSeries:
** The ''WebAnimation/AwesomeSeries'' has become less fun for him to create, as he can't think of any jokes.
** In his own words, "'''Nobody''' wants more ''Lemon and Bill''" [[note]]As a joke, commenting on its relative lack of popularity. He still wants to continue the series, in part because [=JonTron=] is an enormous fan of it[[/note]].
* PetPeeveTrope:
** [[invoked]] [[AnnoyingVideoGameHelper Intrusive tutorial segments]]. Arin feels as if InstructiveLevelDesign is the best way to teach a player how to play a game, and rails against games that don't use it.
** He also discusses how he hates the {{Railroading}} that later ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'' games do.
** He ''really'' doesn't like it when games force subtitles on top of voiced audio, claiming to find it disorienting.
* ReadTheFreakingManual: Rails against this trope (as it pertains to video games) in the Mega Man ''WebVideo/{{Sequelitis}}''. He's adamant that a game should not require the player to do anything other than play the game, and that manuals and tutorials are bad things. Instead, he points to the opening level of ''VideoGame/MegamanX'' as a shining example of [[InstructiveLevelDesign teaching the player through gameplay alone]]. This attitude carries over into ''WebVideo/GameGrumps'', where he has a noticeable habit of ignoring tutorials of any kind.
* RenaissanceMan: Arin is an accomplished artist, animator, voice actor, writer, entertainer, ''and'' [[Music/{{Starbomb}} rapper]]! Who knows what he'll take on next?
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo5gGb05LIE Arin's cat, Mochi]], [[WebVideo/GameGrumps the darlingest... piece of shit!]]
* SelfDeprecation: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1rdIWlf8uI Egorapture]]
* SmashCut: [[PlayedForLaughs Used to full comedic effect]].
--> "Gawd these FUCKIN LIP--!"
--> "I WISH I WAS PLAYING ''VIDEO GA-''"
** Almost every transition in the ''WebVideo/{{Sequelitis}}'' series cuts Egoraptor's dialogue off.
--> "Let me level with you for a second. Electrical Engineering? Pretty smart. General Relativity? Pretty fuckin' smart. The Intro Stage In [[VideoGame/MegaManX Mega Ma]]'''FUCKING.''' '''GENIUS.'''"
* SmallNameBigEgo: Defied but parodied. Egoraptor himself joking invoked [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1rdIWlf8uI&feature=related this]] by proclaiming to be [[AGodAmI God]], but in real life he's said many times he's not a person like that, and was open to the idea of hanging out with some fans in an interview.
* StealthPun: Bill is a bullet. [[spoiler: [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Bullet Bill.]]]] Also, both Lemon and Bill [[WebVideo/{{Sequelitis}} are ammunition]].
** In a short about a LiteralMinded man, his nametag says "Philip K. Literal". [[spoiler: He's literally Mr. Literal.]]
