Go To

Dynamix is a VideoGame developing company. It was founded in 1984, purchased by Creator/{{Sierra}} in 1990, and went defunct in 2001.

They are most notable for their series of simulators such as the critically acclaimed ''VideoGame/RedBaron'' and ''Videogame/StarSiege'' series, and the enormously popular ''Videogame/{{Tribes}}'' franchise, which [[OutlivedItsCreator continued even past the dissolution]] of Dynamix, gaining a [[Videogame/TribesAscend prequel]] and a sequel.

''Tribes 2'' was built on a prototype of their Torque MediaNotes/GameEngine, which was later licensed to indie developers as a simple but powerful and ''cheap'' [[note]]$100. When it was first introduced in early 2000, engines were generally extremely expensive to license.[[/note]] engine to build off of. The engine is still in development (under [=GarageGames=], founded by former Dynamix employees) and available for licensing.

Not to be confused with the RhythmGame ''Dynamix'' by [=C4Cat=].
