Benjamin Isaac Diskin (born August 25, 1982) is an American voice actor. Active since the age of 12, Diskin's characters include Eugene in ''WesternAnimation/HeyArnold''[[note]]Diskin was one of many replacement voices for Eugene. 126!![[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventureBattleTendency And after that, "These are tropes associated with Ben Diskin!" Right?]][[note]]These tropes are associated with Ben Diskin! ...Hold on...[[/note]]
* ActingForTwo: His impressive range means he's capable of having multiple roles in a single production if need be. For example Numbahs 1 and 2 in ''WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor'', Jakob, Saizo and Hayato in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates'', and Lorenz and Caspar in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses''.
* ActingInTheDark: Diskin was given no context for his lines as Young Xehanort in ''VideoGame/KingdomHearts3DDreamDropDistance'', in order to match the character's [[ColdHam lack of personal stake]] in the plot.
* ActorSharedBackground: Coincidentally, he shares his birthday with [[VideoGame/PuyoPuyoTetris Lemres]], August 25th.
* BrainBleach: After receiving so much appreciation from the UsefulNotes/FurryFandom for voicing [[Anime/{{Aggretsuko}} Haida]], he decided to educate himself after learning what "vore" was...and [[https://twitter.com/BenjaminDiskin/status/992657387164073986 other darker stuff]]. ''Big'' mistake. [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption He gave up]] and [[ConditionedToAcceptHorror decided to go]] [[https://twitter.com/BenjaminDiskin/status/992650737061515264 the full mile]].
* CastingGag: ''WesternAnimation/MarvelsSpiderMan'' isn't the first time he voiced a character [[WesternAnimation/TheSpectacularSpiderMan that became Venom.]]
* FakeBrit: As [[WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor Numbah One,]] [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Joseph Joestar,]] [[VideoGame/TonyHawksUnderground Nigel Beaverhausen]], and [[VideoGame/FireEmblemFates Jakob]].
* HotBlooded: Tends to be cast in these kinds of roles.
* LargeHam: Some of his more notable roles like [[WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor Numbah 1]], [[Literature/AccelWorld Ash Roller]] and [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Joseph Joestar.]]
* ManOfAThousandVoices: Has a very wide range of voices going from [[WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor Numbah 2]], [[Manga/{{Naruto}} Sai]], and [[Anime/BloodPlus Kai]], not to mention Skaar, [[EvilSoundsDeep Venom, Young Xehanort and Harm]]. This is highlighted further in Anime/DigimonFusion where he voices [[HotBlooded Shoutmon]] and [[BadassAdorable Cutemon]], he uses his normal vocal range for the former and a higher pitched and effeminate voice for the latter. He's also one of the few male voice actors whose voice is high-pitched enough to voice young boys such as [[VideoGame/RuneFactory4 Kiel]]. He also voiced [[Franchise/LiloAndStitch Stitch]], a character with a ''very'' nasal voice who is normally voiced by [[Creator/ChrisSanders his own creator]], making Diskin the only other English speaker so far to voice that character.[[note]]However, Diskin only voiced the character in the English versions of the [[Anime/{{Stitch}} East]] [[Animation/StitchAndAi Asian]] spin-offs; he has yet to voice the character in a Western-made production.[[/note]]
* PigeonholedVoiceActor: Two fortes. He's often typecast into either heroic HotBlooded [[LargeHam hammy]] characters that are sometimes hot-headed (or if they are villains, AxCrazy psychopaths), or as a nerdy/geeky cute young boy. The former is more seen with his teenage or adult characters (i.e. [[Anime/{{K}} Misaki Yata]] and [[Literature/AccelWorld Ash Roller]]); and the later usually in pre-teen or younger characters (i.e. [[WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor Numbah 2]] and [[VideoGame/RuneFactory4 Kiel]]. Misaki can be this, too.). However, he is capable of PlayingAgainstType when necessary.
* PlayingAgainstType:
** Sai from ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'', who happens to be TheStoic and one of the most level-headed characters in the series.
** And of course, there's also Saizo from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates'', who speaks in a deeper voice than what we normally associate with Ben's characters.
** There's also [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfHeroesTrailsOfColdSteel Jusis]], a no-nonsense nobleman's son with a cold disposition.
** [[VideoGame/KingdomHearts3DDreamDropDistance Young]] [[VideoGame/KingdomHeartsIII Xehanort]]. [[ColdHam To say more would just ruin it.]]
** [[VideoGame/TonyHawksUnderground Eric Sparrow]], a fame-seeking {{Jerkass}} with a whiny voice.
* PromotedFanboy:
** He was a big fan of ''Franchise/{{Digimon}}'' before getting to play Shoutmon and Cutemon in ''Anime/DigimonFusion''.
** He [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMgcdC_QmAw has admitted to being a fan]] of ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsI'' before becoming a voice actor [[VideoGame/KingdomHearts3DDreamDropDistance later on]] [[VideoGame/KingdomHeartsIII in the series]].
** He's a massive fan of the works for Creator/TeamFourStar too. So much, he got to be featured in a discussion on ''Anime/{{Aggretsuko}}'' through the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7DKtLLB7yg Talkcast Podshow]].
* RealMenWearPink: His opinion on Cutemon's "manliness" according to [[https://twitter.com/BenjaminDiskin/status/448640389893718017 this tweet]].
* TokenMiniMoe: He's one of the few voice actors whose voice can go high pitched enough to voice these kinds of characters. Case in point, [[VideoGame/RuneFactory4 Kiel]].
* VocalEvolution: His later roles involve him using a deeper voice for many of his characters in comparison to his earlier roles. This is entirely understandable considering he started as a child.
