The fact that Chas' own father is much more conventionally badass doesn't hurt.

Once the ordeal is over however, he confesses he came close to wetting himself.

Absolutely terrified, Shaggy makes the massive jump and manages to get to safety over a crumbling cave wall and gets help, saving everybody.

Luckily, Steven manages to resurrect him, and Lars [[CameBackStrong Comes Back Stronger]] mentally as well as physically, displaying far more (self-)confidence in his subsequent appearances.]]
