This character sheet is for listing the tropes related to Decepticons in the various ''Franchise/TransformersGeneration1'' continuities. Due to the page having been split over the years, this page mainly covers tropes for characters introduced from 1991 onwards (which includes some G2 characters[[note]]Which by definition, would mean they aren't "G1", except for the fact in Europe, they are[[/note]]) and {{canon immigrant}}s/[[CanonForeigner foreigners]].

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:In General]]
* AdaptationOriginConnection: The ''ComicBook/GIJoeVsTheTransformers'' continuity establishes their civil war with the Autobots indirectly leading to the rise of Cobra and the birth of G.I. Joe in addition to the Joes becoming allies to the Autobots, the first miniseries having Cobra rise to power by enslaving both factions of Cybertronians to use as weapons after they arrived on Earth as well as G.I. Joe being formed to fight back against Cobra and the Decepticons and turning the tide by helping Optimus Prime free his fellow Autobots from Cobra's control.
* AdaptationalHeroism: The Decepticons are portrayed in a more sympathetic light in the 2005 IDW continuity: they were originally a group of freedom fighters formed by Megatron to topple the corrupt Autobot government before they end up becoming no better than them. Some of them even got this treatment to varying degrees and pulled a HeelFaceTurn in the end.
* AdaptationalVillainy: At the same time, later iterations of the Decepticons (such as Shockwave, Bludgeon, Galvatron's Decepticons, the DJD, etc.) are way worse than Megatron's Decepticons or even Cyclonus in the first IDW continuity.
* AliensAreBastards: Pretty much, considering the fact that they're a bunch of warmongering brutes from another planet led by a fanatical tyrant and that they all have a rather low opinion of organic beings. A few however are less evil than others.
* DependingOnTheWriter: Aside from the individual Decepticons, the faction itself has been portrayed differently across ''G1'' media. They've been intrinsically evil machines out for universal conquest, as well as {{Well Intentioned Extremist}}s who fought a corrupt government, but ended up becoming no better/even worse than them.
* FantasticRacism: They tend to have disdain for organic races, like Humans.
* ForTheEvulz: Both cartoon and comic Decepticons got started basically because they were bored and wanted a fight.
* GalacticConquerer: They typically want to spread Cybertronian rule across multiple planets.
* GladiatorGames: In some continuities, the Decepticons were formed through these by Megatron.
* MeaningfulName: The IDW comics explains that the name "Decepticon" is taken from one of Megatron's rallying lines: "You are being '''deceived'''".
* MultipleChoicePast: How the Decepticons formed varies among depictions: the Sunbow cartoon had them as the descendents of Quintesson military hardware, and the ''Generation 2'' comic as descendents of the Leige Maximo (both times making them inherently evil), while the IDW and Dreamwave comics have them as normal Cybertronians swayed by Megatron for a single cause (IDW makes them out to be more noble... well, initially, anyway).
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: The Decepticons often have threatening-sounding names like Ravage and Bonecrusher, making it all the more obvious that they are the bad guys.
* NotAlwaysEvil: Even though majority of the Decepticons are power-hungry and violent conquerors, there are some who are not fully committed to the cause or outright question it, sometimes even abandoning their faction and/or defecting to the Autobots. Notable examples are Jetfire and Deadlock (or [[MeaningfulRename Drift]], as he's known now).
* PlanetLooters: More often than not in the ''G1'' mythos, they're on Earth to steal its numerous resources of energy for their own ends.
* ProudWarriorRace: The Decepticons' origins are often rooted in combat, being built as military robots in the Sunbow cartoon or being formed in Cyberton's gladiatorial arenas in various other continuities. As such, they tend to value strength and view their physical superiority over smaller races as a right to conquer them. Megatron himself even calls the Decepticons a "proud warrior race" in the UK comic story "The Fall and Rise of the Decepticon Empire".
* PurpleIsPowerful: The Decepticon insignia is purple and many Decepticons are also colored purple, and they over all tend to outclass the Autobots in terms of raw strength and power.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Majority of the 'cons have red eyes, another sign of their villainy.
* RobotSoldier: In the cartoon, they were created as military robots by the Quintessons with the explicit purpose of warfare.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: While it's not a universal rule, many of the evil Decepticons are colored purple, green, or orange.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: In the IDW continuity, the Decepticons were originally a protest group made up of lowly blue-collared workers who opposed the corrupt Pre-War government, only to end up [[HeWhoFightsMonsters being disillusioned]] with the whole "peace through tyranny" thing.

!!1991 Decepticons
[[folder:Charger (チャージャー ''chājā'')]]
[[quoteright:150:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chargeractionmasterart1.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Flamethrower
->''"I have no need for friends, even less for enemies."''
A Decepticon flame-thrower with a short temper and a lack of social skills. His Action Master partner is Fire Beast. Like Take-Off, Charger was only available in European markets.
----
* EquippableAlly: Fire Beast can become a helmet for Charger.
* EvilCounterpart: He's essentially Slag/Slug as a Decepticon but without the Dinobot's redeeming qualities.
* FireBreathingWeapon: Other than charging head on, his weapon is also a flamethrower.
* GreenAndMean: His color scheme is green and he's both unpleasant and anti-social, while Fire Beast is the same. Even Bumblebee compares them unfavorably to Treadshot and Catgut.
* {{Jerkass}}: Charger is hot-headed, anti-social and generally unpleasant, while Fire Beast is not much better. Charger even burns off Barricade's hand just because he was in his way.
* MeaningfulName: Charger always charges forth into battle.
* RhinoRampage: Fire Beast looks like a mechanical rhino, and when equipped to Charger he packs quite the punch.
* TalkingAnimal: The 2019 continuity shows Fire Beast can talk like other beast Cybertronians.
* UseYourHead: Charger can do this when equipped with Fire Beast, easily breaking through reinforced walls.

[[folder:Double Punch (ダブルパンチ ''daburu panchi'')]]
[[quoteright:205:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/g1doublepunch.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Desert Vanguard
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Scorpion
->''"Double the power means double the destruction!"''
Desert combat specialist with a love for chaos and destruction.
----
* ForTheEvulz: Double Punch seemingly watched matches of the human sport soccer simply as an excuse to cause chaos and destruction.
* PaletteSwap: ''Timelines'' Double Punch is a redeco of ''Energon'' Ultra-sized Scorponok.
* ScaryScorpions: Being an {{Expy}} of Scorponok means he turns into a scorpion.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: He's bright lavender with orange and some teal.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Overlord (オーバーロード ''ōbārōdo'')]]
[[quoteright:205:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/overlordart_367.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Self Contained Nomadic Assault Machine
!!!'''Alt Modes:''' Interstellar Warship, Stealth Fighter, Tank, Mobile Defense Battery
->''"I stand my ground... I accept any challenge... I am hungry for conflict."''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KeiichiNoda (''[[Anime/TransformersSuperGodMasterforce Masterforce]]'') (JP); Creator/PatrickSeitz (''[[WebAnimation/TransformersPrimeWarsTrilogy Prime Wars]]'') (EN)

A Double Powermaster whose robot mode can split into two vehicles (or [[MileLongShip one huge spaceship]]), Overlord is one of the Decepticon's "Warriors Elite", legendary "super warriors" [[OneManArmy capable of singlehandedly laying waste to entire worlds]].
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: NobleDemon in his debut in the Japanese series [[note]]though that was more his Mega and Giga pilots than him[[/note]], a completely AxCrazy, [[TheSociopath sociopathic]], [[HeroKiller depraved]] [[TheDreaded lunatic]] in the IDW comics, and a regular Decepticon conqueror [[TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou who won't be upstaged]] in the Classicsverse.
* AmbitionIsEvil: Averted and Lampshaded in the IDW. Overlord has no ambitions, he doesn't seek power, and will never become TheStarscream, all he wants to do is upgrade his kills from homicide to genocide. He wants to bring pain and suffering and death, and getting in the way of that goal angers him.
* ArchEnemy: Ginrai in the Japanese continuity. When he was being controlled by Lady Mega and Lord Giga, they saw Ginrai as a WorthyOpponent, and [[spoiler:they died regretful that they were not able to end their feud honorably]]. This rivalry continued after he regained sentience, with Overlord launching several campaigns against Ginrai from space. In the IDW comics he is obsessed with destroying Megatron but gains an emmity with Springer and Impactor in the process.
* BattleCouple: Lord Giga and Lady Mega in ''Masterforce''. [[AcePilot She flies the jet]], he drives the tank.
* BigBad: Of ''ComicBook/TheTransformersLastStandOfTheWreckers'' and select arcs of ''ComicBook/TheTransformersMoreThanMeetsTheEye''.
* BloodKnight: Became a soldier so he could take the glorious excesses of gladiatorial combat beyond the arena.
* BoomHeadshot: IDW comics, he kills Wingblazer, his partner, and Rotorstorm this way.
* TheCaligula: The comics give him a Greco-Roman bust design to hammer this point across.
* CanonForeigner: He originates from ''Anime/TransformersSuperGodMasterforce'', a Japanese series out of continuity with the American cartoon.
* DangerousDeserter: Probably ''the'' most dangerous one to originate from Decepticon ranks.
* DependingOnTheWriter: Almost ''everything'', including whether he's a Transformer at all! In the West, he is. In Japan, he's actually a "Godmaster," which is a human in armor emulating one. In Overlord's case, he's actually ''two'' armored humans working together, one of whom is a woman.
** Technically, he IS a Transformer in both. In Japan, he was a "{{trans|formingMecha}}tector," a Transformer body that did not have its own spark (lifeforce), hence the need for human operators. Most of the transtectors were protoforms stolen by Devil Z before they could be imbued with sparks. Devil Z found Overlord in the G Nebula centuries before the start of ''Masterforce'' proper.
* TheDragon:
** For Devil Z in ''Masterforce''. Arguably more of a {{Co|Dragons}}-Dragon after Black Zarak shows up.
** To the Fallen in ''WebAnimation/TheTransformersPowerOfThePrimes.''
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** His original ''Masterforce'' incarnation (or rather, his pilots) did not want to exterminate the human race, so when Devil Z revealed his plans, they went against him, but were killed in process.
** In ''Classics'' continuity, he wants to conquer the Earth, ''not'' to destroy it. So when the evil ''[[ComicBook/TransformersShatteredGlass Shattered Glass]]'' version of Ultra Magnus appears to destroy it, he agreed to [[EnemyMine team up with the Autobots and heroic Decepticons]] to stop him. [[spoiler:And much like them, he was horrified to discover that his home universe was destroyed.]]
* EvilSoundsDeep: Courtesy of Patrick Seitz in the ''Prime Wars'' trilogy.
* EvilVersusOblivion: In ''Classics'' continuity, he teams up with Metalhawk's Autobots and heroic ''[[ComicBook/TransformersShatteredGlass Shattered Glass]]'' Decepticons to stop the evil Ultra Magnus from destroying the Earth. They succeeded… [[spoiler:but the rest of the universe was destroyed, which was SG!Ultra Magnus' true plan.]]
* {{Expy}}: The comics version is essentially [[Characters/DoctorWhoMasters The Master]] ([[ComicBookFantasyCasting particularly]] the Creator/JohnSimm incarnation) as a Decepticon.
-->'''Overlord:''' [[ShoutOut Please attend carefully]]…
* EyeScream: In ''ComicBook/TheTransformersLastStandOfTheWreckers'' he rips off Springer's face, blinding both eyes, and tearing one out.
* [[AFatherToHisMen A Father And Mother To Their Men]]: See UnholyMatrimony, below.
* FauxAffablyEvil: IDW comics, polite, eloquent, and completely crazy. Case in point, when an Elite Autobot Task Force crash down in front of him, one of them, Rotorstorm, cracks a joke. No one laughs, except Overlord, who thought it was funny. He immediately points a gun at Rotorstorm's head and splatters his companions with cranial fluid.
* GenderBender: In addition to the above ''Masterforce'' example; in the IDW comic he disguises himself as a human woman named [[SueDonym Megan Guglione]].
* TheHeavy: To Big Bad Devil Z in ''Masterforce''.
* IHaveManyNames: Was originally going to be named '''[[KrakenAndLeviathan Leviathan]]''' according to ''Masterforce'' showrunner Masumi Kaneda. Has occasionally been packaged as '''Gigatron'''.
* KilledOffForReal:
** [[spoiler:The Japanese version dies under unknown circumstances at some point between ''Masterforce'' and ''Zone'', as the latter involves him coming BackFromTheDead. Then, at the end of ''Zone'' he dies again.]]
** [[spoiler:The IDW version (2005-2018 continuity) is put down in ''Requiem for the Wreckers.'' The Wreckers place half of his body in the Prehistoric era, and the other half in the far future, just to ensure there's [[JokerImmunity no funny business]].]]
** [[spoiler:In ''Power of the Primes'' he is disintegrated when Megatron shoots him point blank with the Requiem Blaster.]]
* LargeHam: In the IDW comics and the ''Prime Wars'' trilogy.
* NobleDemon: Mega and Giga had no problem leading the Decepticons at first, bombing cities with asteroids or murdering Ginrai's friends to find him, but they start to balk at Devil Z's psychotic actions as ''Masterforce'' goes on, until they eventually turn on him.
* OffWithHisHead: Overlord's ''Titan Returns'' toy is a Titan-master. The Japanese version comes with swappable Mega and Giga Headmasters.
* OneManArmy: All versions.
-->'''Prowl:''' Some Cybertronians are markedly more powerful than others: Optimus, Grimlock, Megatron. Fort Max on a good day. I think those are your "once-in-a-generation" bots. But they pale in comparison - all of them - they pale when compared with Overlord and Sixshot and Tarn.
* PsychoForHire: Subverted in IDW Comics. He's always in it to cause suffering, but he's his own bot, and he won't be hired or working for anyone.
* RankScalesWithAsskicking: All versions of him have him wielding some form of power over a subgroup of Decepticons and having the strength to prove it.
* RedBaron: "The Ambassador of Destruction."
* ResurrectedForAJob: In ''Transformers: Zone'', he's one of nine Warriors Elite resurrected by alien megalomaniac [[OverlyLongName Violenjiger]] to aid in his campaign to conquer the galaxy.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: At the end of ''Masterforce'', [[spoiler:after Devil Z, Mega, and Giga are all killed, he makes a run for it]].
* SlasherSmile: Common in IDW comics [[https://www.deviantart.com/markerguru/art/TF-MTMTE-14-cover-colors-344185555 like here]].
* TheSociopath: IDW Comics
-->'''Overlord:''' A good strategist is half psychologist and half sadist. And I was the best.
* WalkingArmory: Has laser cannons and missile launchers on his torso in robot mode, in addition to the blaster rifle he carries into battle. He also has [[StatusBuffDispel an electronic attack that sabotages the self-repair protocols of his opponents.]]
* UnholyMatrimony: Giga and Mega (the male and female part of Overlord, respectively). They see the Decepticons (especially the Junior Headmasters, but the way older Pretenders too) as their sons.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Slicer]]
[[quoteright:205:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/g2_slicer.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Massive Assault Specialist
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Sports Car
->''"Annihilation equals victory!"''
A Decepticon who looks [[PaletteSwap strangely similar to Autobot Wheeljack]], Slicer possesses a 4WD Assault Vehicle that can transform into an armored exo-suit. He is very rude and cruel even to other Decepticons, possesses an extremely short temper, and his favorite tactic is attacking a target until it's down.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: He's one of several Decepticons reimagined as a peaceful neutral in the 2005 IDW continuity, where he's an Earthborn Transformer created after the war.
* AttackAttackAttack: His only definition of "strategy" is attacking the target until it's dead.
* AxCrazy: Very psychotic and obsessed with violence.
* AliensOfLondon: In ''Wings Universe'', he speaks with a thick French accent due to Neuro-Centre Control Unit burning out after landing in Toulon, France.
* FrenchJerk: Speaks with a French accent and is very rude and cruel.
* HairTriggerTemper: Has a very short temper, making him very hard to deal with for other Decepticons.
* {{Jerkass}}: Rude, cruel and unjust even to his own Decepticon peers.
* PaletteSwap: Looks like a blue and gold Wheeljack.
* PoweredArmor: His exo-suit, which also transforms into his buggy.
* ShoutOut: His bio quote from his ''Timelines'' toy is paraphrased nearly verbatim from the French taunter from ''Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail''.
* UnwittingPawn: In ''ComicBook/TransformersWingsOfHonor'', he gets deceived by [[IdenticalStranger completely identically-looking]] ''[[ComicBook/TransformersShatteredGlass Shattered Glass]]'' incarnation of Wheeljack, who taped over his Autobot insignia with the Decepticon one and managed to barter for the forestonite in exchange of the "Autobot plans in the future" (which were actually just some videogames). By the time he realized the deceit, it was too late.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: For his appearance in ''TabletopGame/MagicTheGathering'', he is given a color palette reminiscent of ''Armada'' Wheeljack, while his ''Shattered Glass'' incarnation uses his regular color scheme.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Take-Off (テイクオフ ''teiku ofu'')]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/takeoff_power_plans_9.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Aerial Recon
->''"There's nothing like dive-bombing Autobots from 60,000 feet!"''
An Action Master specialized in aerial superiority, his toy was available only in European markets, his partner is Screech.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: Take-Off has both thrusters in his abdomen and wheels on his shoulders and legs, making it ambiguous if he turned into a car or a flying vehicle.
* EquippableAlly: Screech can turn into a bird-like helmet for Take-Off to wear.
* MauveShirt: He plays a supporting role in ''Wings of Honor'' as one of Gutcruncher's goons alongside Charger.
* ShapeshifterModeLock: Being an Action Master means he's unable to transform. ''Wings of Honor'' shows he was exposed alongside other Action Masters to the energies of a monolith that locked them in robot mode.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Turbo Master (ターボマスター ''tābo masutā'')]]
[[quoteright:205:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/turbomaster.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Aerial Marauder
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Dual propeller vertical take-off plane
->''"To control the sky is to control the ground!"''
* BitCharacter: His only appearance in any media since his debut is during IDW's ''More than Meets the Eye'', getting shot in the chest by Ultra Magnus.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: Magenta, purple, orange and some green are the colors of Turbo Master.

[[quoteright:205:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/stalkerart_2890.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:205:Stalker]]
!!!'''Function:''' Air Commandant (Skyquake), Leader (Falcon), Scientific Advisor (Skydive), Surveillance (Snare), Advance Fighter (Talon), Communications Expert (Stalker)
!!!'''Alt Modes:''' Northrop YF-23 fighter jet (Skydive), ICBM launcher tank (Stalker), SR-71 Blackbird recon plane (Skyquake), Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk (Falcon), Grumman X-29 (Snare), [=McDonnell=]-Douglas F-15 Eagle (Talon)
-->'''Skyquake:''' ''"Break them, crush them - grind them to dust!"''\
'''Falcon:''' ''"I despise weakness and spit on compassion."''\
'''Skydive:''' ''"True cruelty is the highest form of art."''\
'''Snare:''' ''"Fear? What's fear? It's all fun to me."''\
'''Talon:''' ''"Don't get me mad... when I get mad, I get even."''\
'''Stalker:''' ''"Hate till it hurts and then hate some more."''

Composed of Skyquake, Falcon, Skydive, Snare, Talon, and Stalker
----
* CardCarryingVillain: Their quotes lend the impression that they're like this.
* CListFodder: The team's late G1 debut and relative obscurity leads to most of them dying whenever they appear.
** In IDW:
*** The team formed the supporting cast of ''ComicBook/TheTransformersLastStandOfTheWreckers'' and most ended up dying. Overlord shot and killed Skyquake to take leadership from him. Stalker was impaled through the head with his torture device. Snare was fatally wounded by Stalker and then mercy killed by Impactor crushing his brain module.
*** Skydive had a minor role in ''ComicBook/TheTransformersRobotsInDisguise'' wherein Bombshell experimented with the Cerebro Shells on him. When the experiments proved unsuccessful, Bombshell killed him.
** ''ComicBook/TransformersWingsOfHonor'': Falcon acted as the MouthOfSauron for Deathsaurus and conferred with the other Decepticon warlords. During one such meeting, Falcon was given what he thought was a holographic message but in actuality was a bomb that killed him and the remaining warlords.
* OutOfFocus: Talon hasn't gotten much individual focus when compared to the other Predators.
* OneSteveLimit: Skydive has the same name as the Aerialbot who was introduced a few years earlier. In the IDW comics Prowl even confused them, twice.
* TheStarscream: In the IDW comics, [[TheShrink Calcar]] discusses this about Skyquake. Skyquake took over a space sector, and made it his own (Calcar calls it going native), installing his own government, and ruling the sector by himself. However, despite the power, he's still loyal to the Decepticons, and leaves his post to attack a heavily fortified Autobot prison when Megatron orders it. Defying the trope.
* TortureTechnician: Stalker.

'''Snipe/Afterburner:''' ''"Brute force is not my way. My technology can devise infinitely more successful, subtle, and unpleasant methods..."''\
'''Terradive:''' ''"Why waste good fighting time thinking? Just BLAST your way in!"''\
'''Tornado/Windrazor:''' ''"Show me an Autobot and I'll show you a hole in the ground!"''

A group of four jets consisting of Eagle Eye/Hawk, Snipe/Afterburner, Terradive and their leader Tornado/Windrazor.
-----
* BadBoss: Tornado/Windrazor would willingly sacrifice the lives of his underlings in the name of victory.
* BrilliantButLazy: Deconstructed with Snipe/Afterburner; his lazy nature means he's rarely able to effectively apply his intellect.
* TheBrute: Terradive is super strong, not especially intelligent, and only cares about destroying Autobots.
* KilledOffForReal: All four of them are killed by the Insecticons in ''Regeneration One''.
* OneSteveLimit: Afterburner and Eagle Eye both have the same name as Autobots introduced before them.

The Stormtroopers are a squad of Decepticons who use high-pressure fluid weapons. They consist of Rage, Hydradread, Drench and Aquablast.
----
* AffablyEvil: At least in ''ComicBook/Transformers2019'', Hydradread is this, being very chipper and excited about designing new and deadly weapons for his faction.
* CListFodder: Drench ends up getting accidentally killed by Turmoil when Deadlock/Drift kicks his cannon out of the way.
* TheEngineer: Aquablast is a very good engineer.
* EvilCounterpart: Of the Aquaspeeders.
* MadScientist: Hydradread's role, with a specialty in fluid-like weapons.
* OneSteveLimit: Drench has the same name as an Autobot.
* OnlySaneByComparison: In ''Transformers (2019)'', Rage ends up playing the straight man of a team consisting of himself, Triggerhappy, Roughstuff and Fangry.
* UnstoppableRage: Rage is perpetually angry.

'''Calcar:''' ''"It doesn't matter who suffers, it only matters that evil wins the day."''
The Trakkons are a duo of Fearswoop and Calcar.
----
* BitCharacter: As a whole, Fearswoop and Calcar haven't played any major roles, which is not an uncommon fate for Generation 2 characters.
* {{BFG}}: Their gimmick, shared with their heroic Lightformer counterparts, is the use of large manned artillery turrets that can attach to their vehicle modes.
* TheShrink: Calcar's first [=IDW=] incarnation serves as a shrink to some Decepticons including Skyquake.
* StealthExpert: Fearswoop loves using stealth to get the drop on enemies.

** He was killed by Megatron in the IDW comics during a gladiatorial fight.
** He wound up being blown to bits in ''Transformers (2019)'' when Sunrunner marked his position and Sidetrack and Flak bombarded him with homing missiles.
* EvilCounterpart: Of the Autobots' Pyro.
* GravityMaster: Gains gravitational powers in the ''Generation 2 Redux'' after being exposed to a MagicalParticleAccelerator.

Archforce is a powerful Decepticon who destroys everything before him. In some universes he is rebuilt into the image of Megatron to serve as Straxus's vessel. His toy is a slightly modified version of the Hero Megatron.
----
* CloneByConversion: An unnamed Decepticon Trooper in the Marvel UK comics (which ended its run three years before Archforce existed) that is converted into a clone of Megatron body and mind was retroactively stated to be an incarnation of Archforce.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: In the Marvel UK comics he went from a generic trooper to first a clone of Megatron, then Unicron transforms the Megatron clone into the UK version of Galvatron.
* KilledOffForReal: He killed himself to stop Straxus taking over his body.
* {{Retcon}}: Initially, his appearance as a trooper that was rebuilt into the image of Megatron to become Straxus's vessel was not actually ''his'', and it was merely a generic. Come "Ask Vector Prime" in 2015, and he was retconned into being Archforce.

----
* CoolSword: They both wield curved swords, hence their team name as Laser Rods.
* DirtyCoward: Jolt will run as soon as he no longer has the advantage. He also specializes in ''sneak attacks''.
* EvilCounterpart: Of the Autobot Laser Rods Volt and Electrons.
* HotPaintJob: Jolt has a blue flame paintjob.
* OddlyShapedSword: Sizzle's sword is shaped like a lightning bolt.
* OneSteveLimit: Sizzle has the same name as the Sparkabot, which is why he's also known as Fireball.

* OneSteveLimit: Ransack has the same name as the Insecticon, while his name in the UK/European package is Blitz.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: Powerdive is mostly colored green with purple highlights, while Ransack is the inverse.

----
* BullyingADragon: Hooligan will go as far as to pull pranks on ''Megatron''.
* CListFodder:
** All three of them got killed in the ''G-2 Comic Bom Bom''.
** Hooligan and Space Case also get killed off in ''Transformers (2019)'' on different incidents.
* CoolPlane: All three of them.
* EvilCounterpart: Of the Autobots' Cyberjets.
* HighlyVisibleNinja: Skyjack's ''stealth'' bomber mode, while mostly black, has a bit of a HotPaintJob on its rear.
* PaperThinDisguise: Hooligan's paintjob is bright orange with tiger stripes.
* ThePrankster: Hooligan calls himself a cruel practical joker.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Skyjack has a mostly black body with red forelimbs and a [[HotPaintJob red flame deco]] in vehicle mode.
* StealthExpert: Skyjack is a master spy with cloaking technology, and transforms into a stealth bomber.
* SuperSpeed: Space Case's greatest asset is his speed (and definitely not his intelligence), thanks to his plasma-powered engines.
* TooDumbToLive: Space Case is so dumb that he only lives thanks to sheer luck.

* GatlingGood: Has an "illin'" gatling gun that fires missiles.
* TheMentor: Apparently mentors fellow stealth bomber Skyjack. His "teachings" involve using human cars for firing practice.
* OneSteveLimit: Has the same name as the combined form of Darkwing and Dreadwind.
* ReluctantWarrior: He was very unwilling to fight and only did so due to the manipulations of Smokescreen.

----
* CloningGambit: In the ''Wings'' Universe she was cloned by Jhiaxus from an already deceased Nightracer as part of his Generation 2 of Transformers.
* DarkActionGirl: She's a Decepticon gunslinger and the only female among the Go-Bots.
* DependingOnTheArtist: Her coloring was originally purple and yellow, but her ''Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club'' design is blue and black.
* PaletteSwap: Her original [=BotCon=] exclusive is a redeco of fellow G2 Gobot High Beam. Her ''Timelines'' figure is a redeco of Tailgate instead, with her Micron partner Shakar being a redeco of Groundbuster.
* SelfInsertFic: She is assumed to be one of infamous former fan Raksha, who avidly supported the Decepticons during the era of the original cartoon.

* DumbMuscle: Despite his ninja training he's described as brutish and moronic.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Other Decepticons can barely tolerate him.

!!!'''Function:''' Warrior
!!!'''Alt Modes:''' Suborbital Fighter, F-15 Eagle Fighter Jet
->''"It is better to be well fought than well known."''
A Seeker specializing in aerial and suborbital chemical warfare. Intelligent and utterly devoted to the Decepticon cause, Acid Storm prefers to operate as the backbone of the Rainmaker squad, and is known as an individual only to his teammates and commanders.
----
* AscendedExtra: Not to the extent of Sunstorm, but Acid Storm has had more appearances since his one episode.
* CoolPlane: Transforms into a Cybertronian pyramid-jet in his brief one-episode appearance. IDW and toys would give him the standard F-15 Eagle mode.
* MauveShirt: In the 2005 IDW continuity, Acid Storm was a [[SpearCarrier recurring easy to identify grunt who was often forefront in major Decepticon gatherings]]. Since the main trio of Seekers had all moved onto major roles and the Coneheads were either dead (Thrust, Ramjet) or done with the faction (Dirge), Acid Storm was usually the one present when the Decepticons needed to mobilize. He even got to become a combiner and was cast in a movie until conflicts with the director caused him to leave.
* MeaningfulName: He makes acid rain along with his fellow Rainmakers (though their since-elaborated-on powers seem to imply making acid rain is something only he can do).
* MythologyGag: His quiet nature and preference to wallow in anonymity is likely a reference to his appearance in "Divide and Conquer", where he was a generic Seeker who didn't speak.
-->'''Acid Storm:''' I'm a green guy—that's like literally my whole thing.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: When Shrapnel blows Ultra-Magnus's ship out of the sky, Acid Storm yells at him as his rash actions have now sent debris heading towards their outpost. It gets destroyed.
* PaletteSwap: Like all Seekers, he's a Starscream recolor. His design did change from his initial monochrome bright green color to a more appealing jungle camouflage paint job.
* TheQuietOne: He rarely speaks and prefers to silently serve under his superiors.
* ShutUpKirk: Gives one to Starscream when he tries to give a speech about letting go of the Decepticon cause for peace.
-->'''Starscream:''' We must leave behind our destructive past. Violence is the old way—Megatron is the old way. I am the new—when I'm elected leader, this will be a victory for us, and for all Cybertronians—because we'll prove we were right. Not through the superiority of our firepower... but through the superiority of our ideas. A validation not for the methods that long tarnished the Decepticon dream, but for the dream itself. Victory is at hand—and it is ours to lose. Will you stand with me?\
'''Acid Storm:''' Blow it out your sprocket, "Chosen One".
* WhoWritesThisCrap: His reaction to the script of ''Starscream: The Movie.''
-->'''Thundercracker:''' Here's your new lines.\
'''Acid Storm:''' What? I was up all night memorizing the old ones.\
'''Thundercracker:''' These are better. Give 'em a read.\

A rogue Junkion who works for the Decepticons, with a habit of taking parts from her enemies.
----
* GoodColorsEvilColors: Unlike most other Junkions, she's in purple and blue, and is aligned with the Decepticons.
* MythologyGag: Her head is designed after Nancy, Wreck-Gar's consort from the cartoon, while her coloration is taken from the ''Shattered Glass'' Junkions.
* PaletteSwap: A redeco and retool of fellow Junkion Scraphook.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Stands as being the first Junkion gal to get a toy.

!!Barricade (バリケード ''barikēdo'')

!!!'''Function:''' Police Officer
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Police Car
-->''"You have the right to scream for mercy."''
A Decepticon Police officer. Aggressive, violent, and corrupt, Barricade nevertheless has a certain sense of honor and pride in his role as a peacekeeper, even if he interprets his responsibilities somewhat loosely.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: His first IDW incarnation was a NobleDemon who tried to be a genuine police officer and preserve peace on the post-war Cybertron.
-->'''Starscream:''' Raze the Decepticon ghetto. I've been letting things get worse—maybe knocking down some buildings will loosen some vocal processors.\
'''Barricade:''' No way, Starscream. I'm a cop. I sided with a united Cybertron because I believe in it. But there's a reason I still wear the Decepticon sigil—and I'm sick of people saying I've sold out or I'm just an—an Autobot. I do what I do in the name of equality, and that's always been the Decepticon cause.
* CanonImmigrant: From the [[Film/TransformersFilmSeries live-action movie series]].
* DependingOnTheWriter: Just how villainous he is depends on the continuity, since his original movie self was a typical Decepticon brute, while he's a NobleDemon in the first IDW comics and in the second one he's a more typical DirtyCop.
* DirtyCop: Though he believes in the Decepticon cause, he has no problem with making a little extra cash on the side.
* {{Jerkass}}: Very aggressive, violent, and unpleasant.
* OneSteveLimit: {{Averted|trope}}; He shares the name with Micromaster Barricade of the Race Track Patrol, but they are not the same character. Both characters received figures in the ''Earthrise'' line, but while this character retained the name Barricade, the other character received a SuddenNameChange to "Runner".
* PaletteSwap: The ''War for Cybertron'' toyline makes him a black and purple redeco of Prowl, which actually references how in the original 2007 movie they wanted a Decepticon who turned into a police car and how Prowl was considered for the role before the character became Barricade.

* TheCracker: He specializes in hacking and cyber-warfare.
* PaletteSwap: Of Starscream, though he more accurately resembles Thundercracker with extra bits of red and white.

->'''Voiced by:''' Yūji Mikimoto (JP)
One of two elite Decepticon warriors chosen for Megatron's Phase Six Initiative, a project designed to create super warriors capable of single-handedly conquering entire planets -- Black Shadow is brought onto battlefields where Autobot resistance is firmly entrenched and Decepticon morale is low. However, despite his reputation as one of Megatron's best soldiers, he is essentially a gangster looking for his next big hustle.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: While his tendency to favor credits over the Decepticon cause is consistent throughout, the Japanese version [[AtLeastIAdmitIt never even pretended to be a real soldier]].
* EvilDuo: With Blue Bacchus in ''Anime/TransformersVictory''.
* GunsAkimbo: Wields twin particle cannons in combat.
* KilledOffForReal: Executed by the Decepticon Justice Division in ''ComicBook/TheTransformersMoreThanMeetsTheEye'' for taking a bribe and destroying Decepticon War Worlds.
* OneManArmy: Killed three of the Wreckers, including their field commander at the time, slaughtered the Autobots' 113th Battalion (which was 3000 strong), and bested Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus in hand to hand combat.
* PaletteSwap: His original toy was a retool of Thunderwing.
* UndyingLoyalty: Subverted. While the IDW version appears to be fanatically loyal to Megatron, like his ''Victory'' counterpart, he ultimately turns out to be ''more'' loyal to quick cash.
* TheWorfEffect: [[spoiler:After centuries of being one of the most feared warriors in the Decepticon ranks, he is curbstomped by the DJD.]]

!!Blast (ブラスト ''burasuto'')

Black Shadow's villainous partner in crime. Utterly cold-hearted and without mercy, he is an expert gunman with unerring aim and fantastic fast-draw abilities, but he still comes in a distinct second to Black Shadow in fighting ability.
----
* AlwaysSecondBest: He's never been able to beat Black Shadow at gunslinging.
* PaletteSwap: He's a redeco of Crossblades.

!!Bug Bite (バグバイト ''bagu baito'')

A CanonImmigrant in more than one sense, since he comes from the WesternAnimation/ChallengeOfTheGobots reality.
----
* AdaptationalDyeJob: Bug Bite was originally yellow. However, in the ''Transformers'' media, his color was changed to white or off-white with purple paint.
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: His appearance in ''WesternAnimation/TransformersWarForCybertronTrilogy'' omits his nature as a dimension-traveling [=GoBot=] and lists him as a regular Cybertronian. This means he's not a {{cyborg}} here and is 100% robot.
* {{Cyborg}}: Just like other [=GoBots=] and unlike other Transformers, he has an organic brain in a robotic body.
* InconsistentSpelling: Sometimes, his name is rendered "Bugbite", without a space.
* MadScientist: He is the science officer of the [=GoBots=] team, and he's very cruel.
* MisplacedRetribution: He [[TheScapegoat blames the Cybertronian race]] as a whole for [[ApocalypseHow the Cataclysm]] that threatens their reality, and wants to [[OmnicidalManiac kill them all]], despite the fact that it wasn't their doing at all; the Cataclysm happened on its own.
* OffWithHisHead: ''Classics'' Megatron blows his head off. Fortunately, Bug Bite thought ahead (heh) and made sure to keep his brain behind his windshield, which allowed him to survive decapitation.
* PaletteSwap: Of Bumblebee, after changing his body to blend better among the Transformers.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: Tom Scioli's ''ComicBook/{{Gobots}}'' comic book miniseries hints at the end that [[spoiler:Bumblebee]] is his son.
* {{Sadist}}: He takes great pleasure in torturing others for information.
* TheStarscream: He was part of a team of [=GoBots=] sent out to try and rescue their reality, only he decided to strike out on his own the first chance he got.

* CanonImmigrant: She stands out for having originated in ''WesternAnimation/ChallengeOfTheGobots'', albeit as a regular Cybertronian and not an inhabitant from another universe.
* DependingOnTheArtist: While her Gobots counterpart had a more humanized face, her design in the IDW comics feature her with a mouthplate and visor so that she resembles her original [=GoBots=] toy. Her ''Legacy'' toy would instead have her face uncovered.
* PaletteSwap: She's a redeco of Mirage.
* UndyingLoyalty: She's been loyal to Megatron from the very beginning.

!!Deathsaurus (デスザラス ''desuzarasu'')
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dezaras.png]]

!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Mechanical Dragon
->''"Glory of death for my enemies, glory of victory for me!"''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TakeshiAono (JP)
Deathsaurus was once one of Megatron's greatest generals, with a particularly successful career at cyberforming planets. Losing patience with Megatron's apparent apathy for his troops, Deathsaurus and his unit broke away from Decepticon ranks, terrorizing worlds as galactic outlaws.
----
* ArchEnemy: Star Saber in the Japanese continuity.
* AssInAmbassador: In the 2019 IDW continuity where he fakes being polite to mask his hate for Probat's inhabitants.
* BadBoss: DependingOnTheWriter. Deathsaurus has been written as both AFatherToHisMen and a cruel tyrant who will kill you for your failure. His ''Victory'' anime incarnation kept his unruly troops in line through violence, his ''Wings of Honor'' incarnation used his loyal aide as an unwitting suicide bomber, and his ''2019 IDW'' incarnation was a major prick to his assistant.
* BenevolentBoss: Works that humanize Deathsaurus tend to push him as this. His ''Victory'' manga incarnation had an adopted son and was much more tolerant of Leozack's betrayal routine. His ''2005 IDW'' incarnation was characterized by his devotion to his underlings to the point that his alliance with the DJD was built on the promise that they'd all be pardoned for their crimes against the faction.
* BigBad: Of ''Anime/TransformersVictory''.
* DefeatEqualsFriendship: When the Decepticon Justice Division arrive to make him [[AnOfferYouCantRefuse an offer he can't refuse]], Deathsaurus gets the drop on them. But when he sees that Tarn is not as callous with the lives of his soldiers as Megatron, Deathsaurus ultimately agrees to join forces with them.
* AFatherToHisMen: The 2005 IDW version. In the Japanese continuity, he was [[DependingOnTheWriter sometimes]] like this in the manga, but [[BadBoss not so much]] in the anime.
* InconsistentSpelling: His name has been spelled a lot of ways, mainly Deszaras or Deathsaurus.
* {{Kaiju}}: His alt-mode, and his name sounds vaguely like a ''Franchise/{{Godzilla}}'' or ''Franchise/UltraSeries'' villain.
* RenegadeSplinterFaction: He has been leading one ever since he broke away from Megatron. Though in the Japanese continuity, by the time ''Victory'' starts they are essentially the only Decepticon faction left.
* UnholyMatrimony: His manga version has a wife named Esmeral.
* WickedCultured: His ''Wings of Honor'' incarnation was an Energon version of a wine connoisseur. As he conquered he took time to add rare aged fuels to his collection.

!!Decepticon Justice Division
When Decepticons disobey orders or go rogue, It's the DJD's job to hunt them down. Debut in ''ComicBook/TheTransformersMoreThanMeetsTheEye''.

* TortureTechnician: A whole team dedicated to it.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: With the exception of Tarn, no member of the DJD has received a toy.

!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Cybertronian Tank
->''"You can't take anything from someone who has nothing to lose."''
TheCaptain of the DJD, Tarn is an eloquent Decepticon who hides his sociopathic tendencies behind a veneer of sophistication. He has demonstrated his loyalty to Decepticon cause by welding the Decepticon insignia to his face as a ballistic mask, and has made it is his life mission to punish anyone who abandons the Decepticon cause.
----
* ArmCannon: He has two Fusion cannons on his arm, showing his loyalty to the cause.
* BigBad: The closest ''ComicBook/TheTransformersMoreThanMeetsTheEye'' has to one, as he is the most persistent nemesis of the main heroes.
* BreakThemByTalking: Is capable of literally talking some of his targets to death.
* BrokenPedestal: [[spoiler:Does not take Megatron's HeelFaceTurn very well.]]
* TheCameo: His original identity of Damus briefly appears in the 2019 IDW continuity as a civilian who is arrested for his Decepticon sympathies.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: He was forged under the name '''Damus''', possessed the ability to render non-sentient machinery inoperative by touching it. Seen as a freak by Cyberton's ruling class, he was forced to undergo [[MarkOfShame empurata]] to mark him as an outcast, and rechristened '''Glitch'''. At some point he joined the Decepticons and renamed himself '''Tarn''', after the city where Megatron was forged.
* DoNotCallMePaul: Does not react well to being addressed by either of his former identities.
* CaptainPatriotic: Inverted. Tarn is loyal to Megatron above all others, and his ideals about how Cybertron should be run. Tarn has the Decepticon Symbol grafted to ''his face.''
* FantasticDrug: Addicted to transforming, if one looks at his scenes in issue 8, he transforms a lot.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Talks politely, quotes poetry and philosophy, all as you die. [[spoiler: His actual words go at a frequency so that the spark of the victim gives out.]]
-->'''Tarn:''' If you want to break someone — mentally, physically, emotionally — wait until they're happy. Let them live and love and thrive. [[BestServedCold Once they recognize the value of a life well-lived... THAT'S when you move in for the kill]].
* TortureTechnician: The leader of a team who does this and he himself tortures any defectors, being sociopathic and easily provoked. Also, he does this by speaking his actual words which go at a frequency which cause his victims' sparks to give out.
* WickedCultured: A fondness for art, poetry, and classical music.

!!!'''Kaon''' (ケイオン ''keion'')
Turns into an electric chair and organizes the list of people the DJD hunt down, he owns the Pet.
----
* BlackEyesOfEvil: His optics are black and gives the appearance that he has only eye-sockets. While not intentional, James Roberts admits to liking the idea Kaon's blind.
* ElectricTorture: Employed via his chair.
* PsychoElectro: He shoots electricity from his chair mode and his hands for combat.
* TortureTechnician: Via ElectricTorture.

!!!'''Vos''' (ヴォス ''vosu'')
A "linguist-purist" who transforms in a sniper rifle.
----
* EyeScream: Inverted. He's got all sorts of spikes and drills under his face, and they're all over, except his eyes, as he needs to see, and presumably the victim can still see when his face get's put over them.
* NoNameGiven: Vos's real name isn't ever stated in canon nor by the author. In the story, Megatron calls him Forestock but the writer confirmed that this was only the name Megatron knew him by, not his real name.
* NightmareFace: Behind his face is a number of torture utensils, and he puts his face over victims.
* TortureTechnician: Removes his face, the insides lined with hooks, spikes and other painful devices and forces his victims to wear it.
* TheUnintelligible: No one understands his Primal Vernacular speech.

!!!'''Tesarus''' (テサルス ''tesarusu'')
An intelligent, violent murderer whose chest can shred victims.
----
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: He has two extra crane like arms.
* TortureTechnician: His chest is a shredding device, which he can put most or all of an enemy into.

!!!'''Helex''' (へレックス ''herekkusu'')
A member of the team with four arms and the ability to transform into a smelting pool.
----
* ImmuneToBullets: Somewhat, he shoots him a bunch of times, but it seems to have no effect.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: He has two pairs of arms and he's a very vicious member of a TortureTechnician team.
* TortureTechnician: Transforms into a mobile smelting pool.

!!!'''The Pet'''
Kaon's pet Sparkeater/Turbofox.
----
* KillerRabbit: A very feral beast who looks rather cool.
* TeamPet: The team's personal animal who can also torture victims just like they do.

!!!'''Nickel'''
The DJD's resident physician.
----
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's abrasive and insulting to the DJD, but dedicates herself to fixing them up. The DJD fully acknowledge that she's only the way she is because she cares about them.
* LastOfHerKind: Sole survivor of a genocide on her homeworld of Prion.
* TheMedic: To the DJD
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only female Decepticon seen among the DJD.
* TeamMom: Constantly telling off the DJD for their lack of hygiene and maintenance.
* VillainousFriendship: Has this with the DJD.

!!Demolisher

!!!'''Function:''' Military Expert
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Cybertronian Tank
A Decepticon military expert and one of the most loyal followers of the Decepticon cause.
----
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Contrary to the ''Unicron Trilogy'', where Demolisher was shown to be clumsy and mentally slow to contrast with his strength, this incarnation is described to be a competent tactician and one of Megatron's most trusted military advisors.
* CanonImmigrant: Demolisher hails from the ''Anime/UnicronTrilogy'' and made his first appearance in ''Anime/TransformersArmada''.
* CompositeCharacter: This version mixes Demolisher's brute strength with ''Armada'' Thrust's tactical prowess.
* InconsistentSpelling: Demolisher is typically spelled Demolish'''o'''r.
* ReusedCharacterDesign: In the trading card games, Demolisher uses his design from the ''VideoGame/TransformersWarForCybertron'' video game, which in turn was based on his ''Armada'' design.
* ShoulderCannon: He still has his iconic dual shoulder cannons that transform into his tank cannon.
* TankGoodness: Like most versions, Demolisher transforms into a tank.
* UndyingLoyalty: Demolisher is incredibly loyal to the Decepticons and will question any leadership decisions that may be rooted in selfishness. In the CollectibleCardGame, Demolisher is known as "[[AddedAlliterativeAppeal Devoted Decepticon]]."

!!!'''Function:''' Junkion Mercenary
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Mitsubishi J59 off-road vehicle

A rogue Junkion who works as a mercenary.
----
* BeardOfEvil: His original toy differs from Hound in that he's got a little beard. A goatee, in case his moral alignment was in doubt.
* CulturalRebel: Most Junkions are odd but friendly traders, allied with the Autobots. Detritus isn't.
* PaletteSwap: A redeco of Hound in sand brown.
* TheStarscream: His goal is to make enough money to buy an army of his own, go back to Junk and become caliph instead of the caliph... err, that is, overthrow Wreck-Gar.
* WildCard: The original toy came with Autobot and Decepticon decals. The card game makes him a Mercenary. According to his bio, Detritus is a case of IFightForTheStrongestSide, not getting involved in a fight until he's absolutely sure which one's going to win. His ''Legacy: Evolutions'' toy makes this even more explicit by giving him both Autobot ''and'' Decepticon insignias. Unlike other figures with changing insignias however, Detritus sports both simultaneously, with only one being visible in either mode.

!!Enemy (エネミー ''enemī'')
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/g1enemy.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Infiltrator
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Micro-Cassette
->''"I must be very important to have so many enemies."''

The BlackSheep of Soundwave's micro-cassettes, Enemy is a rather unpleasant individual with few (if any) friends even among his fellow Decepticons. He has managed to use his [[{{Troll}} abrasive personality]] to his advantage, however. On the battlefield, [[DrawAggro he goads the Autobots into focusing on him, drawing their fire away from higher-value Decepticon targets]]. But he is most effective when he is deployed alone as a saboteur or advance agent, striking from the shadows.
----
* AscendedExtra: First appeared in one panel of Dreamave's ''War Within'' miniseries, and it's not entirely clear if he's a miscolored Rumble or Frenzy, or a deliberate ShoutOut to an obscure variant of the Japanese MC-01 Micross figure that ultimately provided the Rumble/Frenzy template. He subsequently got his own toy in Japan, and was introduced to Western audiences via IDW.
* AppropriatedAppellation: In the [[ComicBook/Transformers2019 2019 IDW continuity]], he chose the name himself.
-->'''Lancer:''' [[WhoNamesTheirKidDude Who calls themselves Enemy? Oh, wait... you didn't choose it, right? Someone else came up with your name?]]\
'''Enemy:''' No, I chose it.\
'''Huffer:''' Wow. I mean, to each their own, but... wow. Issues, much?
* BoisterousWeakling: Not particularly strong, and frequently bites off more than he can chew.
* CardCarryingVillain: Who else would call themselves Enemy?
* CombatPragmatist: Given his low strength, he generally sticks to the shadows and sneaks up on opponents.
* EnemiesEqualsGreatness: The main reason why he chose his name and constantly picks fights with bots bigger than him.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: His fellow Decepticons can't stand to be around him for long periods of time.
* GunsAkimbo: Wields twin ion heavy pistols for ranged combat.
* LeeroyJenkins: Frequently throws himself into fights he is unlikely to win on his own, which frustrates his fellow Decepticons to no end.
* PaletteSwap: Of Rumble and Frenzy.
* {{Troll}}: Defines himself by his opposition to others.
* WeNeedADistraction: Is very good at this, and it's probably the only reason Soundwave keeps him around.

!!Exhaust (エグゾースト ''eguzōsuto'')

->''"You can't catch smoke with bare hands."''

A Decepticon who works for the Marlboor, stealing secrets on their behalf.
----
* GoodSmokingEvilSmoking: The stress of his job has given Exhaust a cygarette habit.
* HeadSwap: He's a new-head retool of Wheeljack in homage to the original Diaclone toy used to make him.
* ShoutOut: His employers, name, and bad habit are in reference to said Diaclone toy, which had decals representing Marlboro (but changed to avoid copyright issues).
* SinisterShades: The main difference between him and Wheeljack is his red and black visor.
* SuperSmoke: Malboor's research department gifted him the power to "quantize", or become living smoke.
* UnderNewManagement: In the Japanese cartoon continuity, Exhaust was a Decepticon spy, until Soundwave got himself killed, and suddenly Exhaust was out of a job.

!!Ferak (フェラク ''feraku'')

->''"It is not a matter of what is the most efficient tool to use, but that which provides me the most pleasure."''

----
* AdaptationalJobChange: Original Ferak was a Decepticon Hunter-seeker. IDW turns him into a member of Squadron X, with the supplemental materials making him a GadgeteerGenius.
* AscendedExtra: He started out as a nameless ToylessToylineCharacter who got a name, some toys, and a couple appearances in fiction.
* GadgeteerGenius: With a penchant for Unusual Weapons of Mass Destruction.
* KickTheDog: Ferak's favorite pastime in the Marvel comics was hunting the Empties on Cybertron for sport.
* PaletteSwap: His Funpub toy makes him one of Cyclonus. His ''Legacy'' figure, while also basing him off the latest Cyclonus, downplays this by retooling a few parts.
* WhiteAndRedAndEerieAllOver: He's mostly white with a red face and other red highlights, and is as cruel and sadistic as they come.

----
* AdaptationalWimp: In the second IDW-verse, she is much more [[LeeroyJenkins incompetent]] and [[ButtMonkey unlucky]] than her previous incarnations.
* AxCrazy: Her ''Wings Universe'' incarnation is a murderous psychopath who revels in chaos and enjoys taunting her enemies with corpses of her victims.
* ButtMonkey: Her second IDW-verse incarnation is an unlucky IneffectualSympatheticVillain who continuously fails to successfully assassinate her target, ends up in various misfortunes, and constantly gets berated by [[BadBoss her superiors]].
* CoolBike: Transforms into a motorcycle.
* DarkActionGirl: She's an elite, competent and very skilled female Decepticon. Not necessarily sane, though.
* DeadPersonImpersonation: In "The Razor's Edge", she disguises herself as the long-gone original Megatron to revive the Decepticon movement.
* HotPaintJob: Features flames on her paint job.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Her main colors are black and red, and she is an extreme Megatron loyalist.
* RenaissanceWoman: Her original incarnation is skilled in many functions, from warrior to scientist.
* TheStarscream: Her ''Wings'' universe version seizes control of the Star Seekers, taking the name of Cannonball for herself, with a little help from the Trope Namer himself.
* UndyingLoyalty: Absolutely and zealously devoted to the Decepticon cause, and especially Megatron, to the point that she considers the Decepticon Generals like Deathsaurus to be [[NoTrueScotsman merely his pale imitations]], and in ''Wings Universe'', when Megatron died, she [[ImplausibleDeniability refused to acknowledge his death]], believing that [[InsaneTrollLogic the Death itself is his ally and wouldn't dare to take him away]].
* YouHaveFailedMe: When Bumblebee reveals to her and the Tripredacus Council that the Autobots now have the means of tracking her down, the Council declares her to be a liability and remotely blows up her ship with her onboard. [[spoiler:She survives.]]

The 4 Guards are a group of female Decepticons that act as Megaempress's personal bodyguards. Each possesses their own unique power over the four elements, and their weapons help bring forth their elemental strengths. They consist of Flowspade, Trickdiamond, Moonheart and Lunaclub.
----
* AmazonBrigade: They're a group of female bodyguards who work directly under Megaempress.
* CanonImmigrant: While originally created for the ''Unite Warriors'' Japanese line, they have made sporadic appearances in other continuities, with Trickdiamond appearing in ''ComicBook/Transformers2019'', while Lunaclub shows up in ''ComicBook/TransformersLastBotStanding''.
* ColorCodedCharacters: In contrast to the Rust Renegades, Trickdiamond is colored yellow, Flowspade purple, Moonheart blue and Lunaclub dark pink.
* CombiningMecha: They can combine with Megaempress to create the gestalt Megatronia.
* ElementalPowers: They all have a ClassicalElementsEnsemble; Trickdiamond is Earth, Lunaclub is Fire, Moonheart is Water and Flowspade is Wind.
* EvilCounterpart: Since Megaempress can be seen as an evil counterpart of Pyra Magna, the 4 guards can be seen as counterparts of the other Rust Renegades.
* FireIceDuo: Lunaclub and Moonheart with their respective weapons and personalities.
* PaletteSwap: They're all recolors of the Autobot Rust Renegades: Trickdiamond is a redeco of Jumpstream, Moonheart of Skyburst, Lunaclub of Stormclash and Flowspade of Dust Up.
* PlayingCardMotifs: They're named after the four suits of cards in poker: Luna'''club''', Flow'''spade''', Moon'''heart''' and Trick'''diamond'''.
* PolarOppositeTwins: Moonheart is calm and collected while Lunaclub is selfish and immature.
* RoboFamily: Moonheart and Lunaclub are twins.
* StalkerWithACrush: Lunaclub deeply admires ''Starscream'' and would stalk him during the Great War.
* TwinThemeNaming: '''Moon'''heart and '''Luna'''club.

He survived, and it's revealed that Spinister cut out his explody part so he wouldn't blow up when they were trying to salvage him.]]
* LovableCoward: He's more amiable and approachable for a Decepticon but...well, let's just say his courage is far less than his friendliness since he's only a fan of trying to survive.
* SuicideAttack: He's a K-class Decepticon. Guess what the K stands for.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: As of 2023 he doesn't have an actual toy.

----
* AffablyEvil: For a Decepticon, Glit can be surprisingly caring and will even help an enemy on the battlefield.
* CombatMedic: He's well armed like most casettes and he's a field medic.
* InVinoVeritas: While he claims to hate singing, give him some energon wine and he'll start singing.

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MasashiEbara (JP)
The resident gadget fiend of the Seekers, Hotlink is prepared to turn any material he has on hand into an instrument of destruction. He views each of his creations as a work of art.
----
* AscendedExtra: Appeared as a no-name generic in the first episode, alongside Bitstream and Sunstorm, attacking Wheeljack and Bumblebee, memorable mainly because he's wielding a flamethrower. Nineteen years later, he got a name and a convention exclusive toy. Then he got a mainstream release for the ''War for Cybertron'' trilogy. Then he became a notable member of "Team Stream" in the 2019 IDW comics.
* CallingYourAttacks: While he was silent in the original cartoon, the Japanese dub has him cry out "Fire Attack!" when he creates a ring of fire around Wheeljack and Bumblebee.
* TheEngineer: With a fondness and knack for guns. Especially ones of a fire related nature.
* EquippableAlly: His ''War for Cybertron'' comes with the Battle Masters Heatstroke and Heartburn, who transform into his flamethrowers.
* FireBreathingWeapon: His favorite creation is his pyropathic flamethrower.
* PaletteSwap: He's a purple Starscream, or more precisely, a Skywarp with more some of the gray parts colored purple and vice versa.

!!Howlback (ハウルバック ''haurubakku'')

!!!'''Function:''' Enforcer
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Micro-Cassette
* DarkActionGirl: She's just as vicious as her male counterparts.
* IceQueen: Described as an ice-cold killer at the core of her spark.
* PaletteSwap: She's a blue redeco of Ravage.
* PantheraAwesome: Like Ravage she's a mechanical cougar.

!!Ion Storm (イオンストーム ''ion sutōmu'')

->''"War is hell. Let me take you there."''
A Seeker who serves as the Electronic Warfare expert for the Rainmaker squad.
----
* AscendedExtra: Yet another background Seeker from the cartoon.
* CoolPlane: Like the other Rainmakers, he turned into a Cybertronian jet in his one appearance in "Divide and Conquer".
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: Like with Nova Storm, [[http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/6/61/Ion_Storm_AskVectorPrime.jpg he was redesigned]] in the same "Ask Vector Prime" update that named him.
* MeaningfulName: Ion Storm has [[ShockAndAwe control over electricity]].
* PaletteSwap: Like any other Seeker.
* ShockAndAwe: Ion Storm is electrokinetic, and can create [=EMPs=].

!!Kaskade

!!!'''Function:''' Sniper
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Cybertronian car
A member of The Rise, a cybertronian organization that would become part of the Decepticons in ''ComicBook/Transformers2019''.
----
* AscendedExtra: She actually only appeared in a handful of panels in the comics before being left comatose by Soundwave.
* CanonImmigrant: She's one of the few characters introduced in the 2019 continuity that would actually get a toy as part of the ''Legacy'' toyline.
* ColdSniper: She's a sniper who's cautious and detached.
* HighClassGlass: She wears a visor over her right eye that resembles a monocle and serves as a sniper's scope.
* PaletteSwap: She's a retool and redeco of ''Siege'' Chromia.

!!Lockdown (ロックダウン ''rokkudaun'')
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/drift2_lockdown_9.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Bounty Hunter
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' [[Film/MadMax V8 Interceptor]] Muscle Car
->''"Run all you want. It'll make the chase more fun."''
A bounty hunter whose primary motivations are credits and upgrades, Lockdown wears the Decepticon standard because [[EvilPaysBetter they offer the most lucrative contracts]]. First appeared in IDW's Drift miniseries, now leader of a band of Decepticons in ''ComicBook/TheTransformersMoreThanMeetsTheEye''.
----
* BountyHunter: [[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Like his namesake.]]
* CanonImmigrant: An interesting case. The character himself comes from ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'', while his design is based on the Lockdown figure from the ''[[Film/TransformersRevengeOfTheFallen Revenge of the Fallen]]'' movie toyline.
* CoolCar: Transforms into a muscle car.
* EvilPaysBetter: The reason for being a de facto Decepticon.
* GreenAndMean: Keeps his green and black paintjob and is a ruthless bounty hunter.
* HookHand: Has a large hook in place of his right hand.
* LighterAndSofter: As with every other version of Lockdown from ''Animated'' onward, he lacks the original's ghoulish habit of taking parts from his victims to upgrade himself.
* SpikesOfVillainy: He's got many spikes along his body, referencing the Mad Max franchise.
* TeamMemberInTheAdaptation:
** The original Lockdown was unaffiliated with either faction and would pull jobs for both with later episodes heavily implying he was a former Autobot. G1 Lockdown is a Decepticon from the get go.
** The 2024 toy for Lockdown is solicited as a member of the Star Raiders (the new version of the Star Seekers) a team Lockdown was never affiliated with beforehand.

!!Loudpedal (ラウドペダル ''raudopedaru'')
[[quoteright:280:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loudpedal_card.jpg]]
!!!'''Function''': Ultrasonic Engineer
!!!'''Alt Mode''': 1980-1982 Chevrolet Corvette "C3"
->''"If you overcome suffering, you will reach joy."''
* FlyingCar: Like Tracks and Road Rage, Loudpedal's alt mode is a car with wings.
* HotPaintJob: Has the same flaming symbol as Tracks on his alt mode.
* MythologyGag: He's inspired on a ''Diaclone'' black redeco of Tracks known as "Black Tracks".
* PaletteSwap: He's a black and purple version of Tracks.

!!Lugnut (ラグナッツ ''ragunattsu'')
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/300px_reveal_the_shield_lugnut.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Enforcer
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' B-17 Flying Fortress
->''"Face the wrath of my Talosian Triple Crusher cannon!"''
A massive Decepticon bruiser that blindly follows Megatron. Originating in ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'' he has been ported over to several G1 continuities and even received a G1/Movie style toy in the Reveal the Shield line.
----
* TheBrute: Lugnut's a massive Decepticon whose main contribution to the Decepticon cause is his strength.
* CanonImmigrant: This one's from ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated''.
* CoolPlane: His toy transforms into a bomber plane.
* CyberCyclops: Unlike Shockwave, he has a mouth.
* PurpleIsPowerful: His depiction in ''Earth Wars'' is largely purple.
* RocketPunch: The Punch of Kill Everything.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: His signature green and purple paintjob.
* SycophanticServant: Extremely loyal to Megatron despite being on the receiving end of his BadBoss attitude.
* UndyingLoyalty: Carried over from his ''[[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Animated]]'' namesake. If the grand and '''GLORIOUS''' Megatron commands it, Lugnut will obey without question.

!!Lyzack (ライザック ''raizakku'')
[[quoteright:259:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lyzack.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Airborne Assault
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Modified F-22 Raptor Fighter Jet
->''"By your will, it is done. By my own, it is done right."''
Leozack's sister.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: Went from a weepy sister in her debut to a full-fledged, though still kinda depressed, Decepticon warrior in the ''ComicBook/TransformersWingsOfHonor'' comic.
* AnimalMotif: Same as her brother, she's stylized to look like a lion.
* CallingYourAttacks: Guess it runs in the family.
* DudeWheresMyRespect: The ''Wings of Honor'' comic mentions that she isn't taken very seriously, reduced to a servant by Deathsaurus and talked down to by Starscream.
* GlassCannon: Takes on Magnum and cuts him down, but before she can kill him, she's beaten by a single punch.
* ShrinkingViolet: Manga and Wings of Honor. In the ''Wings'' verse her bio does mention her isolation, but this trope causes many to underestimate her.
* UndyingLoyalty: The ''Wings'' comics has Deathsaurus offer her an opportunity to save her brother, but at the cost of working for him which she tirelessly does so. During the battle against the Elite Guard, she tends to him after the latter is shot.

!!Magnificus (マグニフィカス ''magunifikasu'')
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/magnificus_biocard.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Outcast
!!!'''Alt Modes:''' Microscope, Laser Cannon

* BadassBookworm: Just as smart as Perceptor and is a former pit fighter.
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: Newer versions of him maintain the original toy-based head with a faceplate instead of adopting the cartoon-inspired maskless version of Perceptor's head that most versions of the Autobot scientist use.
* PaintItBlack: He's a black redeco of Perceptor.
* PaletteSwap: Of Perceptor. ''Dreamwave'' actually makes him a clone of Perceptor created by Shockwave in the same way Soundblaster became his own separate character.
* WeaponSpecialization: His main weapon and biggest achievement is a matter shrinking scope.

!!Megaempress (メガエンプレス ''megaenpuresu'')
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/16337061374673259198611151126819.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Leader
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Modified Panther 6x6 Fire Truck

Created out of spare parts from Megatron's construction, Megaempress leads the Female Decepticons as the self-proclaimed "Empress of Destructicon". She has a special team of vassals, the 4 Guards, to serve as her ever-present bodyguards. She's still a force to be reckoned with, though, as her power is comparable to Megatron's own and she can use her rail fusion cannon and Judge Pickel weapons to wreak destruction across the land. She has the "special ability" to seduce any male Transformer to do her bidding.
----
* ArmCannon: Averted. The ladder for her vehicle form acts as a weapon of her choice, however.
* BigBad: She and the 4 guards were this for the Megatronia chapter but were replace with Baldigus and later Unicron.
* CombiningMecha: She can combine with her four guards to create Megatronia.
* DistaffCounterpart: Of Megatron, only she doesn't transform into a gun.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: Tries to use her power to make Optimus Prime her slave, but is shocked when he used her Judge Pickel to pierce himself to break her control as he states Elita One's name.
* EvilOverlord: Leads the Female Decepticons as the self-proclaimed "Empress of Destructicon". You do the math.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Tries to take over the entire Decepticon faction.
* LargeHam: Owing to her ambitions and status, she goes loud and dramatic to make sure everyone knows it.
* PaletteSwap: She's a redeco of Pyra Magna.
* PowerfulPick: Her Judge Pickel is this.
* SealedEvilInACan: Shockwave put her and Flowspade in stasis after her failed coup. She would be freed millennia later in 2021 when her remaining followers realized the devastation of Cybertron broke the seal and rushed Shockwave's facility to wake their empress.
* VillainousFriendship: Seems to have one with Flowspade.

!!Megaplex (メガプレックス ''megapurekkusu'')
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/megaplex.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Proxy
!!!'''Alt Modes:''' F-22 Raptor Fighter Jet; Walther P-38
->''"The skies belong to me!"''
Megatron's body-double, a clone made in his image who often leads battles in Megatron's stead.
----
* ActuallyADoombot: His purpose. And since Megatron didn't trust a duplicate of himself, Megaplex is nowhere near as dangerous as Megatron, meaning it's easy to spot that he's a fake quickish.
* CloneAngst: He understandably has a chip on his shoulder due to being Megatron's clone, yet considered inferior to the original by his creators.
-->'''Megaplex:''' Megatron haunts me, and yet my very existence honors him.
* KillItWithIce: Megaplex's preferred artillery is freeze shells.
* PaletteSwap:
** His ''Collectors Edition'' toy is just Megatron's toy with the original Japanese release colouration (so, blue where Megatron's got red).
** His ''Timelines'' toy is instead a redeco of ''Prime'' Dreadwing with a silver and teal paintjob.

!!Nacelle
[[quoteright:175:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nacelleg1.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Aero Engineer
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Suborbital Fighter, F-15 Eagle Fighter Jet
->''"Blasting you is as cathartic as streamlining one's fuselage."''
* AscendedExtra: He's literally the Extra of an Extra, with his first official appearance being behind ''Hotlink's leg''.
* CompositeCharacter: Physically, he uses Starscream's head while bearing Thrust's VTOL wings.
* PaletteSwap: His appearance in the 2019 IDW-verse and by extension ''Legacy'' is a straight redeco of the ''Siege'' tetrajet Starscream design.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: In ''Transformers (2019)'' he and Hooligan made the mistake of underestimating Windcharger's MagnetismManipulation powers despite Red Wing's warning and he got heavily injured.

!!Nightbird (ナイトバード ''naitobādo'')
[[quoteright:272:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nightbird.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Infiltration
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Modified Sportscar
->''"With darkness comes death."''
Originally a human-created drone based on Cybertronian technology. Seeing potential in her stealth configuration, Megatron reformatted her into a Decepticon.
----
* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: The original Nightbird is a human-made robot. Other versions of her make her a native Cybertronian, and at least one version of her is a Camien-born mechanoid.
* BreakoutCharacter: She was a simple one-episode character who only showed up in "Enter the Nightbird" and never appeared again, but her distinct ninja-like design made her stand out to fans. Since then, she's gained a higher profile as an active Decepticon in some continuities and a Terrorcon in ''Film/TransformersRiseOfTheBeasts''.
* CanonImmigrant: Started off as a one-off character in the original cartoon. She later reappeared in a few other continuities.
* CyberNinja: A Japanese-built robot ninja that's incredibly stealthy and armed with high-tech variants of StockNinjaWeaponry, including a LaserBlade.
* ForScience: The original version's origin. Doctor Fujiyama (the famous scientist!) built a large, combat-ready ninja robot to "help mankind". ''How'' exactly she was supposed to help is one of life's great mysteries.
* InstantAIJustAddWater: Her ''Earth Wars'' version became fully sentient thanks to Bombshell putting a cerebro-shell in her.
* InstantAwesomeJustAddNinja: Repeat, ninja robot.
* PaletteSwap: Her first toy was a retool of the 30th anniversary Arcee toy. Her only other toy is likewise one of ''Siege'' Chromia, though only the head is a different piece, compared to the first toy.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Her main color scheme is purple and she's an incredibly capable fighter regardless of continuity.
* SlidingScaleOfRobotIntelligence: In her initial appearance, where she's human-built, it isn't really clear whether she's self-aware or not (the fact that she can't speak exacerbates the problem). Megatron snarks at Starscream that he might replace him with her, but he was probably kidding. Probably. She's hinted to have gained sentience at the very end through her angry expression while she's being put back in storage, implying a desire for revenge, but she never appears again afterwards.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: In a way. Despite being human-made, she was the only female Decepticon in the original cartoon.
* TheSpeechless: Mute in the G1 cartoon.

!!Nova Storm (ノヴァストーム ''nova sutōmu'')
[[quoteright:275:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/novastorm_0.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Warrior
!!!'''Alt Modes:''' Suborbital Fighter, F-15 Eagle Fighter Jet
->''"Fight with fire and enjoy watching it burn."''
The third member of the Rainmaker trio, Nova Storm is a Seeker specializing in Hostile Environment warfare. His armor has been modified to make him more resistant to intense heat and radiation.
----
* AscendedExtra: Like the rest of his squad, Nova Storm was originally a generic Seeker painted in bright yellow (though he wasn't Sunstorm, who was given a golden hue to better differentiate the two).
* CoolPlane: Turns into a Cybertronian tetrajet in his one appearance.
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: In the same "Ask Vector Prime" update that gave him his name, [[http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/5/5d/Nova_Storm_AskVectorPrime.jpg he got a snazzy new look]].
* GenderFlip: In "Transformers: Trading Card Game", Nova Storm becomes female, much like her ''WesternAnimation/TransformersCyberverse'' counterpart. She's also female in the 2019 IDW continuity.
* ImmuneToFire: His armor allows him to survive volcanic or other extremely hot environments.
* MeaningfulName: Nova Storm is able to survive volcanic or otherwise extremely hot environments (such as a star's corona) for small periods of time.
* PaletteSwap: He's a Seeker, so of course.

!!Octus
[[quoteright:220:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fallandriseoctus01.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Triumvirate member
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' [[Franchise/DoctorWho Dalek]] motor casing

* BullyingADragon: Trying to enslave someone who looks like Megatron (but isn't - long story) is pretty stupid, but Octus took it further by taunting him.
* TheCameo: Got a couple of minor cameos in the IDW comics.
* EvilPowerVacuum: He and his two cohorts; Legonis and Seizer, rose to power after the second death of Straxus.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: He has six arms.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: He's pretty unusual by Transformers standards with his six-armed humanoid figure and alt mode, which according to WordOfGod, is based on the Daleks from ''Doctor Who''.
* OffWithHisHead: The Triumvirate gets executed by the Triggercons, with Octus getting his head blown up from behind by Crankcase.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: Originating in the Marvel comics means he and his two cohorts have never received toys, never mind the licensing rights if someone tried to give him a completely accurate alt-mode.

!!Offroad (オフロード ''ofurōdo'')
[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/generationsoffroad_packagingart.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Extreme Conditions Warfare
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Pickup truck
Offroad is a new recruit to the Stunticons, and his teammates are being slow to trust him.
----
* OddFriendship: In ''Of Masters and Mayhem'' Offroad established a pretty strong friendship with fellow SixthRanger Alpha Bravo.
* OnlySaneMan: Unlike the many issues the other Stunticons have, Offroad is quite confident and charismatic, which ironically makes his teammates distrust him.
* SixthRanger: He was brought to the Stunticons to fill the role Wildrider had left.
* WeaponSpecialization: His toy comes with a battle axe and he wields it in the comics.

!!Oilmaster (オイルマスター ''oirumasutā'')
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/oilmastershellandgroundcomponents_cmw.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Bounty Hunter
!!!'''Alt Modes:''' Pickup truck, Drone Jet
->''"You can't run and you can't hide."''
Oilmaster is one of the Decepticons' most feared bounty hunters.
----
* DumbMuscle: Despite his complex mental arrangement, he's a none-too-bright thug at heart, and prone to rage whenever his shell is damaged.
* FastballSpecial: Shrunk to microscopic size by Magnificus and then reenlarged when thrown into battle.
* KillerGorilla: His Pretender shell is a cyborg gorilla.
* MindHive: Oilmaster has two robots within his body who can separate but are controlled by a single mind.
* PaletteSwap: His inner robot modes are redecos of Swerve and Flanker.

!!Redwing
[[quoteright:325:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/redwing_0.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Warrior
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Suborbital Fighter, F-15 Eagle Fighter Jet
->''"Once you're in my crosshairs, there is no escape!"''
A Seeker specializing in hit-and-run attacks. Armed with powerful repulsor cannons and missile launchers, Redwing enters the battlefield guns blazing with a "devil may care" attitude. More often than not, that's all he needs.
----
* AscendedExtra: First appeared as background filler in the ''Wings Universe''. Many fans found the color scheme impressive, guaranteeing him a few more crowd scenes in the 2005 IDW series. The ''Transformers Legends'' mobile game provided his name and first bits of individual characterization, paving the way for him to get his own ''[[WesternAnimation/TransformersWarForCybertronTrilogy Siege]]'' Voyager Class toy. The 2019 IDW comic gave him a speaking role.
* CombatPragmatist: His defensive stats aren't all that great, so he focuses on hitting power; he'll strafe enemies from the air then touch down to finish off anyone who is still standing. And in the 2019 IDW comic, he seems to have a fairly realistic assessment of what he can handle and doesn't take chances with Autobots outside his weight class.
* CoolPlane: Transforms into a Cybertronian tetrajet like the other space-based Seekers.
* PaletteSwap: He's essentially Starscream with a retextured head and Thrust's color scheme (albeit a brighter shade of red).
* RedOnesGoFaster: He's red, and he specializes in hit and run attacks.
* ShoutOut: Named after the [[UsefulNotes/NationalHockeyLeague Detroit Red Wings]].

!!Riggorus (リゴラス ''rigorasu'')
!!!'''Function:''' Combat surgeon
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Toyota [=4WD=] Hi-Lux Camper Truck
----
* MythologyGag: He's based on the yellow variant of the Toyota Hi-Lux ''Diaclone'' toy, which was repainted in black to make Trailbreaker.

!!Sandstorm
[[quoteright:180:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/g2sandstormvaultart.jpg]]
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Delta Wing F-15 Eagle Fighter Jet
* MythologyGag: He began as a scrapped concept for the ''Generation 2'' as a redeco of Ramjet before debuting as a his own character for the ''Generation Selects'' toyline.
* OneSteveLimit: Has nothing to do with the Autobot Triple Changer or the scorpion Predacon of the same name.
* PaletteSwap: He's a sand brown recolor of Ramjet.

!!Sentius Malus (センティウスマルス ''sentiusu marusu'')
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sentius_malus_promo.jpg]]
!!!'''Function''': Guardian of Darkness
!!!'''Alt Mode''': Spider-tank
* CanonForeigner: He originates in the ''Earth Wars'' videogame and hasn't received a physical toy.
* EnergyBow: Specifically, an ''Energon'' bow, which he can use for ranged attacks just like his brother.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: He wields his half of the Sword of Balance as a katana.
* LiteralSplitPersonality: He was originally the honorable guardian Sentius Nobilius, who guarded over the relics of the Primes until one of said Primes betrayed him, splitting him in two using the Sword of Balance.
* PaletteSwap: Of Magnus, which is fitting since they're twins who originated from the same spark.
* TheSacredDarkness: As the Guardian of Darkness, he technically represents this.
* SpiderTank: His alt mode is one of these.
* YellowPurpleContrast: He's colored purple and yellow as a foil of Magnus' white and gold color scheme.

!!Shadow Striker
[[quoteright:264:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shadowstriker.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Reconnaisance
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Dodge Viper Sportscar
->''"I have ventured into the abyss -- and survived."''
Once an Autobot, Shadow Striker lost her sister in an attack by marauders years ago. Now a Decepticon, she fights against her other sister, Roulette.
----
* TheBusCameBack: After ''Universe'', she got a brief reappearance in the video game ''Legends'', as part of a band of female Decepticons.
* CanonImmigrant: Originally a minor character in the short-lived ''Universe'' storyline, she was homaged with a toy in the ''Revenge of the Fallen'' toyline, and then gained another version in the ''Cyberverse'' storyline. Not bad for a convention exclusive.
* CoolCar: She turns into a black Dodge Viper.
* TheCorruptible: In ''Universe'', she proved susceptible to Unicron's evil, which is why she joined him.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Despite being a Decepticon and/or servant of Unicron, she still cares about Roulette. Threatening her is a good way to get Shadow Striker to cooperate.
* HeadSwap: A new-head retool of Side Burn.
* PaletteSwap: A repaint of her sister Roulette.
* UncertainDoom: Her ''Universe'' incarnation's fate is unclear, but at last sight Roulette was escaping from the collapsing Unicron looking unhappy about ''something''. Not looking good for her sister…

!!!'''Function:''' Spy
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Harley Davidson Motorcycle
->''"Why do I meddle with you, you ask? It's because I enjoy it."''
A mysterious spy for the Decepticons. First appears in the ''Robotmasters'' toyline.
----
* ContinuitySnarl: Averted. Despite Sideways being a legendary headache inducer, this Sideways is not connected to all the other Sidewayses out there. ... ''yet''.
* CoolBike: He turns into a Harley Davison.
* YellowPurpleContrast: His signature paintjob, which signifies his shifting allegiances.

!!Slipstream (スリップストリーム ''surippusutorīmu'')
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/legendsslipstreamart.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Aerial Espionage
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' VTOL Jet
->''"The truth is well hidden. To find it, you have to lose yourself in a sea of lies."''
A female Seeker with a big sass. Sometimes, she's a clone of Starscream, sometimes her past is unknown, sometimes she's just a normal female Seeker.
----
* CanonImmigrant: She came from ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated''. Her second IDW-verse incarnation, however, is closer to her ''WesternAnimation/TransformersCyberverse'' counterpart.
* DarkActionGirl: One of the few female Seekers, and she is both competent and deadly.
* DeadpanSnarker: She's got a very sharp tongue.
* MultipleChoicePast: What's her origin? It's all DependingOnTheWriter. In ''Legends'', she's the OppositeSexClone of Starscream, just like her ''Animated'' counterpart. In ''Earth Wars'', her past is [[MysteriousPast known to no one]] but Slipstream herself. In second IDW run, she's just a normal Cybertronian.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Has purple coloration, and is one of the more competent Seekers.
* SmurfettePrinciple: The only female Seeker to be featured in media (excluding Nova Storm, who, in "Transformers: Trading Card Game", undergoes a GenderFlip).

!!Soundblaster (サウンドブラスター ''saundoburasutā'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/siege_ep5_soundblaster_says_sorry.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Communications
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Micro-Cassette Recorder
->''"He who controls the flow of information controls the flow of battle."''
A clone of Soundwave.
----
* CloningGambit: Created as an attempt to clone Soundwave. The ''Siege'' version was considered a failure, for whatever reason, and struck out on his own.
* DecompositeCharacter: The original version of Soundblaster was just Soundwave brought back from the dead in a new paint job, nothing more. Dreamwave's comics made him a clone, something the ''Siege'' cartoon ran with.
* GeniusBruiser: Every bit as strong as Soundwave, and according to his ''Legacy'' bio he's slightly smarter than his progenitor, who is no intellectual slouch himself.
* PaletteSwap: He's Soundwave, but in black, rather than Soundwave's blue.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: He's colored black and his chest-plate and visor are all colored red.
* ShockAndAwe: Where Soundwave has his concussion blaster, Soundblaster has a gun that fires beams of electricity at folk.
* SpacePirate: In the 2019 IDW continuity.

!!Spikestrip
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/spikestrip.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Commando
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' [[Film/MadMax Buzzard]] vehicle
* BlackEyesOfEvil: She's one of the few transformers who exposes her completely empty eyesocket.
* PaletteSwap: Her robot mode is based on those of Roulette and Shadow Striker.
* RedRightHand: Her left optic is missing, leaving her empty eyesocket exposed to all.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Her name is ''Spike''strip and she's covered in spikes and thorns.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: Originating in the ''Transformers Roleplaying Game'' means she doesn't have a toy.
* WhipOfDominance: She wields a spiked wire as a whip and she has a sadistic personality.

!!Static

!!!'''Function:''' Technician
* DarkActionGirl: She's a female Decepticon who wields an Energon knife.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: Originating in the ''Transformers Roleplaying Game'' means she doesn't have a toy.

!!Straxus (ストラクサス ''sutorakusasu'')
[[quoteright:246:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/straxus.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Warlord
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Anti-Aircraft Cannon
->''"'''Mercy''' is not dispensed here, fools... only '''death'''!"''

A Decepticon warlord who took command on Cybertron after Megatron and company disappeared.
----
* AntagonisticGovernor: Rules the city-state of Polyhex with an iron fist.
* AxCrazy: Complete with an actual (pick) axe. He's quite mad, prone to murdering people for no good reason. If you're ''very'' lucky, he'll kill you on the spot. If not, he'll have people thrown into the smelting pools.
* BadBoss: He was prone to bullying and threatening his underlings, particularly Shrapnel. At one point, one of his troops was killed by a malfunctioning spacebridge. Rather than caring much, Straxus just send another guy in to see what had happened. They died too.
* BlackEyesOfEvil: His eyes are completely dark in the original comics. Most other depictions tend to ignore this, but Japanese media and toys are pretty consistent on it.
* BreakoutVillain: Straxus was originally a fairly minor ArcVillain and ToylessToylineCharacter in the Marvel comics. He was brought back as a major player in the UK Marvel stories and from then on different continuities used him for different roles. Sometimes he'd have a cameo other times he'd play the role of a major villain; ultimately he would go on to receive a few toys as well.
* TheCaligula: Even by Decepticon standards. Which is really saying something.
* CombiningMecha: Appeared in the Japanese exclusive ''United EX'' storyline as one.
* GrandTheftMe: With a copy of Megatron's body in the Marvel UK comics. Sort of. [[http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Straxus_%28G1%29#Marvel_Comics_continuity It's complicated.]]
* KickTheDog: He rips off Scrounge's unique arm and destroys it right in front of him.
-->'''Scrounge:''' My arm! My special arm! There is no other like it!\
'''Straxus:''' ''(crushes the arm)'' Now there is not even ''one'' like it!
* InconsistentSpelling: In the 2019 IDW continuity, his named is spelled '''Straxxus'''.
* LargeHam: That quote up there? That's pretty much how he was all the time in his first appearance. Angry and shouting.
* LightningBruiser: You'd think a guy who turns into a tank would be slow. ''Wrong''. His 2010 toy gives him a speed rating of "10".
* LosingYourHead: In the Marvel UK continuity, his encounter with the Space Bridge has him reduced to just a head.
* MultipleChoicePast: While his Marvel comics self was depicted as a Decepticon, the ''Generation 2'' comic implies that Straxus was a member of Jhiaxus' Cybertronian faction, left on Cybertron to serve as a "token presence" (due to Jhiaxus considering him to be a small-minded tyrant unworthy of their grand plans).
* SortingAlgorithmOfEvil: In the Marvel UK continuity, the Autobots had spent the last four million years dealing with the brutally efficient Trannis, who'd conquered pretty much ''all'' of Cybertron except Iacon, until he'd finally gotten fed up and decided just to level the place. Xaaron had the Wreckers assassinate Trannis, and Straxus took his place, proving far more evil and depraved than Trannis was by a wide margin. Oops.
* TheStarscream: Often found trying to overthrow Megatron, or brainwash him into being a puppet.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: During the original toyline run. He ultimately got a figure in 2010 as part of the Generations toyline.
* WeaponSpecialization: His primary weapon is an Energon-powered pickaxe.

!!Sundor (サンドル ''sandoru'')
[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sundor.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Spy
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Micro-Cassette
->''"The universe revolves around me. That's because I'm the sun!"''
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/SatomiAkesaka (JP)
* BrutalBirdOfPrey: He's a mechanical condor and a dangerous Decepticon.
* FakeDefector: Pretends to have defected from the Decepticons when in fact his loyalty to Megatron remains.
* MeaningfulName: His name is a combination of Sun and Condor.
* PaletteSwap: He's an orange and gold recolor of Laserbeak/Buzzsaw.
* PowerOfTheSun: His impenetrable skin and firepower diminish at sunset.
* TokenEvilTeammate: While Glit is rather nice for a Decepticon and Rosanna wants to be an idol, Sundor is only pretending to have had a change of heart, and he's still arrogant and narcissistic.
* TokenFlyer: Blaster was actually quite pleased to finally have a flyer on his Micro-Cassette team.

!!Sunstorm (サンストーム ''sansutōmu'')
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sunstorm.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Aerospace Warrior
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' F-15 Eagle Fighter Jet
->''"Unchecked power is the true path to divinity."''

A member of the Seeker class, Sunstorm is a product of Shockwave's experiments with fusion reactor technology. In order to prevent his Transtector from overheating due to the stresses caused by the reactor, he has been upgraded with experimental shielding and a polarized electrum hull, giving him an [[BlingOfWar ornate, golden appearance]]. His radioactive aura causes injury or death to those he touches, leading Sunstorm to believe he actually is the Cybertronian equivalent of the GrimReaper.
----
* AscendedExtra: He first appeared as an unnamed background character in the first animated episode, but became important in the Dreamwave comics.
* AGodAmI: His lethal radioactivity has caused him to believe that he is a god. In fact, his Masterpiece toy comes with a redeco of Starscream's crown, cape and shoulder pads (though this may or may not be a coincidence).
-->'''Sunstorm:''' I am the presence anointed to carry forth the light. The original light, that which has no beginning and no end. Its searing heat shall purify the earth... purging this world of all flaws, and preparing it for what lies ahead.
* KilledOffForReal:
** His reactor overheats and explodes in ''ComicBook/TransformersGenerationOne''.
** Impaled through the head by Arcee in ''ComicBook/TheTransformersRobotsInDisguise''.
* LargeHam: Due to being completely off his rocker.
-->'''Sunstorm:''' You!! This is all your doing! Despite my offering of redemption, you were unable to resist temptation, sacrificing me for the slightest taste of power!
* NamedByTheAdaptation: He was a background character in the cartoon who only showed up once, so he naturally lacked a name until the Dreamwave comic dubbed him Sunstorm.
* PaletteSwap: Just like most Seekers, he's one for Starscream.
* WalkingWasteland: Sunstorm is so named because he is dangerously radioactive; his mere presence causes other Transformers to melt, corrode and die. This, combined with his physically and mentally unstable nature, has resulted in Sunstorm developing a ''massive'' god complex.

!!Tarantulas
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tangled_web_tarantulas_furious.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Scientist
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Spider
->''"The secrets of the universe are coded in every Cybertronian's spark... and I won't stop cutting until I find them!"''

Introduced in ''WesternAnimation/BeastWars'', the IDW comic imports him to G1. The scientist once known as '''Mesothulas''' worked alongside Prowl in the early years of the war. After numerous early accomplishments that assisted the Autobots in the war effort, Mesothulas came to believe the war itself was a living organism that could be manipulated with the proper tools. When the Autobots deemed him unstable, Mesothulas fled to Earth. Developing a fascination with spiders, Mesothulas altered his body into an arachnoid configuration. Now calling himself '''Tarantulas''', he eventually resurfaced, seeking revenge.
----
* AIIsACrapshoot: Created Aequitas, the computer that gave the Wreckers so much trouble in ''[[ComicBook/TheTransformersLastStandOfTheWreckers Last Stand of the Wreckers]]''
%%* AscendedFanboy: Of Shockwave.
* BigBad: Of ''[[ComicBook/TheTransformersSinsOfTheWreckers Sins of The Wreckers]]''.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He viewed his artifically created "son", Ostaros, as his greatest creation, and is driven into a grief fueled rage [[spoiler: when he believes Ostaros is dead.]]
* LackOfEmpathy: In a dodgy attempt to bolster Autobot ranks, Mesothulas faked a Decepticon terrorist attack by bombing the neutral city of Carpessa, killing 1438 citizens. While Autobot leadership is outraged by the loss of innocent life, Mesothulas is more concerned with how well the bomb worked.
* LotusEaterMachine: Created one in the form of the Positive Reinforcement Prison; designed to keep prisoners docile by giving them a fantasy based on their greatest wishes.
* LukeIAmYourFather: [[spoiler:Given that Springer is a reformatted Ostaros, Tarantulas is technically his father.]]
* MadScientist: A particularly dark variation: [[spoiler:Mesothulas was a wetwork operative who used his mad inventions to commit war crimes in order to aid the Autobots from behind the scenes]].
* SizeShifter: He can go from the size of a regular cybertronian to the size of an actual spider.
* StalkerWithACrush: Tarantulas is ''completely obsessed'' with Prowl, going so far as to kidnap Prowl and [[IfICantHaveYou threaten to destroy him if Prowl refused to join his side]].
-->'''Prowl:''' What more do you want?!\
'''Tarantulas:''' I want you. I want ''us''.
* ThatManIsDead: Tarantulas asserts that the name Mesothulas no longer has any meaning to him.
* TokenEvilTeammate: For the Autobots before they kicked him out for going too far.

!!Toxitron
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/toxictransformer.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Failed Experiment
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Toxic Waste Tanker Truck
->''He was 9.8 tons of solid scrap until he became... [[Film/TheToxicAvenger The Toxic Transformer!]]''
A failed experiment that turned an ordinary Decepticon into a WalkingWasteland.
----
* CanonImmigrant: Toxitron was originally conceived as a redeco of Generation 2 Optimus Prime for the 2003 ''Universe'' line, specifically as a Wal Mart exclusive. After the line's premature cancellation, his release cancelled with it, Toxitron would end up getting some recognition via a character based on him appearing in the 2011 [=BotCon=] ''Animated'' special: "The Stunt-icon Job", before being fully immigrated into [=G1=] with the 2016 ''Timelines'' story ''Of Masters and Mayhem'', as well as both a Transformers Collectors Club exclusive figure of him, and an actually released Wal Mart exclusive with his own subline: the "Toxitron Collection".
* CorruptedCharacterCopy: Twofold.
** His design basis is a reference to the cult classic movie ''Film/TheToxicAvenger'', being a formerly weak Decepticon turned into a powerful brute via toxic chemicals. Unlike Melvin however, who was a NiceGuy and only punished the guilty for the sake of protecting Tromaville, Toxitron is an AntiVillain at best filled with righteous anger at his existence and taking it out on whoever he's pointed at. The cover of his debut for the ''Of Masters and Mayhem'' story even has him parodying the iconic poster of the first film.
** InUniverse, he was visually made to resemble Optimus Prime, specifically for the cruel irony it would bring.
* HealingFactor: The cocktail of chemicals used in creating him have given him one, making him nigh-invulnerable due to being able to heal himself from even the most grievous of wounds.
* HeelFaceTurn: "Of Masters and Mayhem" would see him be recruited by Impactor into joining the Wreckers for the sake of defeating Thunder Mayhem, with Toxitron becoming the torso of their own CombiningMecha: Wreckage. While he is still [[ReformedButNotTamed extremely violent and murderous]], even being tricked into aiding Alpha Bravo's HeroicSuicide meant to make sure Wreckage could never be formed again, as Impactor points out, he's now at least found a new home in the Wreckers.
* IAmAMonster: Toxitron is fully aware he's a failed experiment, and sees himself as a monster as a result. This fills him with a lot of anger, which he directs towards his foes while feeling envious of their more natural appearances. Once Impactor recruited him to the Wreckers, he was reassured that even if he ''was'' a monster, he's among other monsters as part of the Wreckers.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: A Decepticon with a green-and-purple color scheme, which serves as a sign that he's not a good guy despite [[PaletteSwap looking a lot like]] Optimus Prime. Zigzagged in "Of Masters and Mayhem", where he undergoes a HeelFaceTurn and becomes an AntiHero.
* TouchOfDeath: His body constantly secretes the very toxic waste used in his creation, said waste capable of melting apart any bot he touches. In his debut story for ''Of Masters and Mayhem'', "The Toxic Transformer", he does so to Jetfire, Brawn, Mainframe, and Red Alert.
* TurnedAgainstTheirMasters: The Decepticons created him as a living weapon, figuring he didn't know about the restraining device they'd installed in him. Then they realized he ''did'' know about it, and had just been waiting for the right moment. The only thing that stopped his rampage was the fact he didn't know about the back-up device.

!!Trasher
[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/trasher.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Warrior
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Garbage truck
* MadBomber: Trasher's favorite tactic involves using his garbage truck alternate mode and its cargo of trash to cobble together improvised "junkbombs" of explosive debris.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: He's green with purple tattoos and a purple visor.
* SlasherSmile: His mouthplate comes with one, fitting an anti-social bomber.
* TattooedCrook: He has Cybertronian graffiti painted on his arms and one of his legs.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: Originates in the ''Transformers Roleplaying Game'', meaning he never received a toy.

!!Turmoil (ターモイル ''tāmoiru'')
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/turmoil.png]]
!!!'''Function:''' Battle Commander
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Assault Tank
->''"Actions speak louder than words."''
Decepticon soldier and former commander of Deadlock (aka Drift).
----
* ArmCannon: Wields a huge shock blast cannon on his right arm which also becomes his tank cannon in vehicle mode.
* BadBoss: Kills the aliens he used to build his ship, not very pleasant to the Decepticons under him either.
* EyepatchOfPower: After Optimus punched out one of his Optics.
* KilledOffForReal: Being a character original from the comics means he' been killed off in both IDW continuities.
** In the 2005 IDW he dismissed Starscream's skill as a warrior and got himself impaled by Metalhawk's severed blade hand by the former Seeker commander.
** In the 2019 continuity he was killed during a space battle against Pyra Magna, who went against orders to pursuit him.
* ProudWarriorRaceGuy: Has little patience for pacifists or opportunists.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: He still doesn't have a toy as of 2023.

!!Twirl
[[quoteright:205:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tflegends_twirl.jpg]]
!!!'''Function:''' Guerilla Tactics
!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Stealth Bomber
* AdaptationalVillainy: In the ''Linkage'' comics she was part of the neutral at worst Sonic Assault Team, but in the IDW continuity she's a Decepticon, albeit a rather cheery and friendly one.
* TheBabyOfTheBunch: She's the youngest member of the Sonic Assault Team.
* CanonImmigrant: She originates in the ''Armada'' toyline before appearing in ''Beast Wars: Uprising'' and ''ComicBook/Transformers2019''.
* CheeryPink: Bright pink and lavender and very much energetic.
* PaletteSwap: She's a redeco of ''Armada'''s Thunderwing.
* PaperThinDisguise: She's ''lavender'' and bright ''pink'', meaning she stands out like a sore thumb.
* PinkMeansFeminine: Her bright color scheme is a good reminder she's female.

!!Viper (バイパー ''baipā'')

!!!'''Alt Mode:''' Cobra Rattler
* CombiningMecha: He's been one of the components of Galvatronus.
* HeadSwap: He's a new-head retool of ''Combiner Wars'' Powerglide, with the new head lacking the gun that the original had.
