The older twin sister of Samey by 17 minutes. Amy is a vain and bratty cheerleader who lives to torment her sister. She sees Samey as nothing more than an inferior spare of herself and relentlessly abuses Samey both physically and verbally to ensure she never forgets that.
----
* AlphaBitch: Complete with CruelCheerleader status.
* AttentionWhore: She ''constantly'' upstages Samey, and she often takes the credit for Samey's hard work. Also, when Samey tries to stand up for herself, Amy has the audacity to call her an "attention hog".
* BareMidriffsAreFeminine: She's one of the more feminine members of the team and her cheerleader outfit reveals her stomach.
* BeautyBrainsAndBrawn:
** She paraphrases the trope, claiming that she is the beauty and the brains, and Samey is the [[BuffySpeak doer of stuff that stinks]].
** Sticking with the trope's intended definition, Amy and Samey would be the Beauties, Scarlett the Brains, and Jasmine the Brawn for Team Kinosewak.
* BeautyIsBad: Being the StarterVillain of ''Pahkitew Island'', she's the most definitive female villain in that season for this trope. Could also count as FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon.
* BerserkButton:
** Anyone complementing Samey or taking Samey's side.
** Confusing her for Samey. She goes off on a short rant about it after it is revealed that Samey [[ImpersonatingTheEvilTwin impersonated her]].
* BigBadWannabe: She has all the makings of an antagonist and takes after the [[AlphaBitch personality]] of previous {{Big Bad}}s like Heather and Courtney, but she didn't [[WeHardlyKnewYe last long enough]] to make a significant impact.
* BigSisterBully: She's 17 minutes older than her twin sister Samey, according to a confessional in "I Love You, Grease Pig" and always treats her horribly.
--> '''Jasmine:''' Well, good thing for Samey they weren't born Siamese twins, or I'd reckon Amy would have ''eaten'' her by now!
* BullyAndWimpPairing: A rare female example, she is the Bully to Samey's Wimp.
* CainAndAbel: In "So, Uh, This is My Team?", Amy tries to invoke the trope with her as Cain and Samey as Abel when she kicks her sister away as they were freefalling; however, the trope is subverted when Samey had an actual parachute.
* ChildishOlderSibling: Ironically, despite viewing her twin sister Samey as an AnnoyingYoungerSibling, Amy herself is ''actually'' the less mature of the two, as she spends more time inferiorizing Samey than being contributive to the competition.
* CombatDiplomacyStealth: In terms of strategies, Amy is the Diplomacy alongside Topher, to spite being an obvious {{Jerkass}} and a HateSink, she somehow managed to be a VillainWithGoodPublicity and unlike previous AlphaBitch's who performed pretty admirably in challenges, Amy went the typical rout of using social manipulation as her main methods of getting what she wants. In contrast to Sugar's Combat and Scarlett's Stealth.
* CruelCheerleader: One half of her label, being one of the {{Alpha Bitch}}es of Pahkitew Island.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Amy and Samey's conflict is focused on heavily during "Twinning Isn't Everything", in which the latter eliminates the former.
* {{Determinator}}: Swam all the way back to the island after being eliminated just so she could get revenge on Samey.
* DevilInPlainSight: She makes absolutely '''ZERO''' effort to hide her cruel nature, yet she's [[VillainWithGoodPublicity Little Miss Perfect]] in nearly everybody's eyes except Jasmine. This is especially true during her WoundedGazelleGambit when Rodney has the nerve to label Samey as the bully when she tries to call her sister out in front of her team.
* DirtyCoward: She uses Samey as a HumanShield when Chef fired tennis balls at them.
* DistinguishingMark: The mole under Amy's right eye, which serves as the IdenticalTwinIDTag between her and Samey. Samey even applies one on her own cheek while posing as Amy.
* DomesticAbuse: Constantly abuses her sister Samey both physically and emotionally in plain sight, yet everybody (except Jasmine) views her as a perfect angel. She also twists around Samey's words when she calls her out to make it look like Samey is the bully and paint herself as the victim (a common tactic that real-life abusers use).
* TheDividual: With Samey. Though it's downplayed in that they do not get along.
* DumbBlonde: {{Inverted}}; she's StreetSmart, knowing how to manipulate people, especially Samey.
* EnfantTerrible: Amy has practically bullied Samey since birth.
* EntitledBitch: As the elder sister, she expects Samey to do her every whim despite how [[BigSisterBully terribly she treats her]].
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: When Jasmine defends Samey during an argument, Amy wonders why would anyone stick up for her twin, as Amy thinks of Samey as nothing but a "Spare Amy."
* EvilCounterpart: To Mike, he was a sweet and shy boy who was impersonated by his evil and abusive alter ego and banished [[BattleAtTheCenterOfTheMind into his own mindscape.]] Amy was an evil and abusive girl who was impersonated by her sweet and shy identical twin sister and exiled from the island. [[{{Determinator}} Both went through a long and agonizing journey to get back so they could confront their imposter]] but to very different outcomes.
* EvilLaugh: She gives one off when she thinks Samey's going home. [[spoiler:However, little did Amy know, Samey had set her up for a fall.]]
* EvilTwin: The other half of her label, being the evil twin sister of Samey.
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: Despite her nasty attitude, Rodney claims Amy had "the voice of an angel".
* TheFakeCutie: Tries to make herself look like a perfect angel to the rest of her teammates, but actually she's little more than an [[DomesticAbuse abusive]], [[BigSisterBully bullying]] {{jerkass}}.
* FatalFlaw: Her obsession with trying to make Samey look bad was ultimately her downfall. Throughout the competition, she constantly hounded Samey and tried to make her life miserable, even going to the extent that she would take credit for anything she did. However, her obsession comes back to bite her as not only does she cause the team to lose after she refuses to let Samey try and take the shot to get rid of Shawn, she takes the manchineel fruit from Samey to taunt her. Unbeknownst to her, the poison from the fruit causes her throat to swell up and leave her unable to speak, allowing Samey to get her eliminated in her place.
* FlatCharacter: She is given little personality outside of her cruelty towards her sister, and leaves the island without any indication that she's humbled by the experience.
* TheGloriousWarOfSisterlyRivalry: Reaches its climax in "A Blast from the Past" when Samey becomes more willing to fight back.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: {{Inverted|Trope}}. She has light blonde hair just like her twin sister Samey, but has a heart that's '''much darker''' than Max's (even when she [[FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon tries to pass herself as being the "better" twin sister]] in front of others).
* HateSink: Amy is written with zero redeeming factors. She is a BigSisterBully who has tormented Samey her entire life. She treats her like a slave, constantly puts her down, and seems to get a kick out of making Samey feel miserable. Amy ultimately serves no real purpose other than to springboard Samey's CharacterDevelopment and is eliminated after 3 episodes.
* HoistByHerOwnPetard: She callously snatches a fruit from Samey because she thinks Samey doesn't deserve to eat. [[spoiler:The fruit turns out to be poisonous, [[BatmanGambit with Samey having known Amy would swipe it from her]]. This prevents Amy from speaking up at elimination, allowing Samey to pretend to be Amy and let Amy get eliminated in her place.]]
* {{Hypocrite}}: She always takes credit for her sister's accomplishments, yet also had the nerve to call her an "attention hog".
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: To differentiate between her and her twin sister Samey, Amy has a mole beneath her right eye. After Amy is eliminated, Samey places a berry beneath her eye to secure her cover.
* InformedAbility: Her label and outfit show that she's a cheerleader, but she never shows any sort of physical prowess.
* InUniverseFactoidFailure: When she claims that she is a parfait, she states that it's German for "perfect" when it's actually French.
* IronicName: "Amy" is a Latin-derived French name meaning "beloved", but Amy here is a HateSink because of the way [[BigSisterBully she treats her twin sister]].
* {{Irony}}: Her severely nasty attitude actually makes her '''''A LOT''''' more malevolent than Max, who is instead a BigBadWannabe with a sympathetic streak.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Instead of being a team player, this self-absorbed brat puts all her energy on bullying Samey and stealing all the credit anytime her twin sister does anything beneficial.
* JerkassToOne: She treats her sister Samey with absolutely '''NO''' respect, and it's not reserved just for her. She extends this cruelty towards almost everyone else, particularly Rodney and Jasmine, though it's not as prominent as her callousness towards Samey.
* KickTheDog: To Samey ''far too often''. She even literally kicks her sister, hoping she will plummet to her death in the first episode.
-->''(As Amy and Samey are free-falling, with the latter holding on to the former's leg)'' \
'''Amy:''' ''(after she pulls her ripcord and gets a parachute)'' Ohhh! I'll miss you, sis! Not much! But... ''(laughs)'' ...probably not at all. LATER!!! ''(Amy kicks Samey away)'' \
'''Samey:''' ''(pulls her ripcord and gets a chute)'' [[BigYes YES!!]] \
'''Amy:''' Ugh! Fine! You can live!
* LadyInRed: Wears a red cheerleader outfit.
* TheLancer: On Team Kinosewak, she is the most authoritative person after [[TheLeader team leader]] Jasmine, and has a personality that's the polar opposite of hers. On top of that they [[FightingTheLancer constantly clash]] due to their contrasting views about Samey.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Gets hit with it hard, courtesy of Samey.
* LeanAndMean: She has a petite frame and a nasty attitude.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: The Dark to Samey's Light.
* TheLoad: As strong as her social game was, when it came to challenges, she was more often than not pretty weak in them. She doesn't help at all with scavenging, instead preferring to have Samey take her place, and during challenges, she's so obsessed with upstaging Samey that it'll cause issues during the challenges, with one result even causing the team to lose.
* MaliciousMisnaming:
** First, she calls her sister Samey, then she comes up with a new, ''even more disparaging'' name in the confessional, "Spareamy".
** She calls Rodney "Mumbles".
* ManipulativeBitch: She manages to manipulate her team to turn on Samey.
* MirrorCharacter:
** She is essentially a younger version of Blaineley, in terms of her physical appearance and vain personality.
** On the surface, Amy is comparable to the series' previous {{Alpha Bitch}}es Heather and Courtney. All three have been eliminated by being HoistByTheirOwnPetard, usually as a result of their own [[SmugSnake arrogance]] as well as their victims pushing back against them. However, Heather and Courtney are two of the series' signature villains due to their [[SpotlightStealingSquad longevity]], while Amy hardly has any impact in the lone season she competed in due to her [[WeHardlyKnewYe early elimination]]. It's also important to note that both Heather and Courtney are also more comparatively sympathetic than Amy ever was.
** [[BullyAndWimpPairing Her relationship with Samey]] is also comparable to Heather's relationship with Lindsay, the main difference being that the wimp is fully aware of the bully's true nature throughout, as opposed to finding out much later.
** In terms of her overall purpose within the competition, she is similar to Dakota from the previous generation, as both of them are vain blonde girls who crave huge amounts of attention (namely, the positive kind) from others. ''However'', Dakota herself is actually a very friendly DaddysGirl whose attention-seeking ways are really a "depressed cry for love" (as Dawn puts it), which was finally met with her [[OppositesAttract unlikely romance]] with Sam (the gamer guy). Amy's, on the other hand, were more or less just to [[EntitledBitch make herself feel much better]] than she already was before, especially in front of Samey. In addition, even if Dakota [[spoiler:was transformed into the Dakotazoid, she is ''still'' [[BruiserWithASoftCenter a very humane monster]]]], while Amy, on the other hand, will '''always''' be [[DevilInPlainSight a highly monstrous human being]].
** Within her own generation, she is similar to Sugar. Both are bratty, vain, and manipulative blonde-haired bullies who constantly [[KickTheDog torment the more innocent characters]] (Samey for Amy, and Ella for Sugar), as well as having '''''very''''' {{Ironic Name}}s, with Sugar being a FatBitch while Amy is LeanAndMean. However, Amy gets ousted by Samey [[WeHardlyKnewYe only three episodes in]], while Sugar manages to successfully oust Ella, and stays in the competition [[SpotlightStealingSquad until the penultimate episode]].
** To Katie. Katie and Sadie had similar names, dressed the same and were treated by everyone as TheDividual. This was due to them being HeterosexualLifePartners who loved being in each other's presence and [[LivingEmotionalCrutch genuinely couldn't stand being apart.]] Amy on the other hand was a BigSisterBully who copied or took credit for everything Samey did so she'd always outshine her and {{Invoked|Trope}} the same name thing by giving her an EmbarrassingNickname. When Katie was eliminated she encouraged Sadie to stay and learn to be her own person, while Samey [[ImpersonatingTheEvilTwin impersonated her]] specifically so she'd be eliminated instead of her. When Sadie got eliminated Katie met her on the boat and they shared a fond reunion, whereas Amy went back to the island specifically to get Samey eliminated and the two screamed at each other on the way out.
* MoralMyopia: Even when she has already upstaged Samey for popularity, Amy herself ''still'' has no regard for others who accept her more than her twin sister.
* NeverMyFault: She ''always'' pins the blame on [[TheScapegoat Samey]] for her mistakes.
-->'''Amy:''' ''(after Team Kinosewak loses their first challenge)'' UGH! Way to go, Samey! You ruined everything!
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The mean to Samey's nice and Jasmine's in between.
* OutGambitted: By Samey.
* PolarOppositeTwins: Amy is cruel, rude, and selfish; a stark contrast to her kind-hearted, polite, and generous sister.
* {{Pride}}: She believes that she is above her sister (and almost everyone else). This eventually becomes her FatalFlaw.
* PsychopathicWomanChild: Despite being older than Samey by 17 minutes, Amy is, in many ways, comparable to a stereotypical toddler. Two notable demonstrations of this trait are [[NeverMyFault always blaming Samey for her own faults]] and stealing whatever Samey has. When Team Kinosewak suffers its first loss, Amy tattles on Samey like a kindergartner.
* RedOniBlueOni: The Red To Samey's Blue.
* ReplacementFlatCharacter: Amy is this to Courtney and Heather, being a pretty AlphaBitch character who treats others like dirt. She's basically them without any redeeming traits.
* RevengeBeforeReason: [[spoiler: Leads to her own, and later Samey's, downfall.]]
* SatelliteCharacter: She has virtually no characterization outside of being mean to Samey or putting her down. The very reason she came onto the show in the first place was so she wouldn't allow Samey any chance to be free from her.
* SevenDeadlySins: Given her less-than-sympathetic character, Amy has gone through all of these sins, even if her time in the franchise is significantly short:
** '''Pride''': She selfishly believes that she is better than her twin sister Samey, and probably everyone else from Pahkitew Island (including Jasmine).
** '''Sloth''': Despite how she self-assumes to be practically the "better" twin sister, she actually makes much less effort during the competition than Samey does.
** '''Envy''': She gets triggered once someone else trusts Samey over herself.
** '''Wrath''': She has shown a great amount of anger throughout her appearance even for no reason, and has a lot less patience than Samey does.
** '''Gluttony''': She doesn't let Samey get any respect from others, even by just a small amount.
** '''Greed''': She always craves for obtaining high regards from others, much more so than Samey does.
** '''Lust''': Although non-sexually, her desire for admiration is possibly the biggest thing she ever gets delighted about, both inside and outside of the competition.
* SkewedPriorities: She is more concerned with one-upping Samey than she is with helping her team. This is what ultimately leads to her downfall.
* SiblingSenioritySquabble: She was born 17 minutes before Samey, and believes that gives her power over her sister.
* SmallNameBigEgo: She believes that she is superior to Samey in every way, and Samey eventually uses this against her.
* SmugSnake: She is very arrogant, treating Samey as her personal slave.
* {{Sociopath}}: She manipulates others into thinking that she's better than Samey (not just morally), yet Amy herself still shows '''''a lot''''' less care for others but to her own self.
* SpoiledBrat: She's a selfish, narcissistic and rude brat that often bullies her own sister for no reason and no one else, other than Jasmine, calls her out on her behavior.
* StarterVillain: For ''Pahkitew Island''. While she isn't the BigBad, she still served as that season's primary drama starter for the first few episodes, before quickly being replaced due to her early elimination.
* StillSucksThumb: During their fight in "[[Recap/TotalDramaABlastFromThePast A Blast From the Past]]", Samey tells Amy that she's lucky that she doesn't tell everyone that she still sucks her thumb.
* ThemeTwinNaming: Amy and Samey.
* TheUnintelligible: After she eats a poisonous manchineel fruit. Samey [[ExploitedTrope exploits]] this to eliminate Amy in her place.
* ValleyGirl: As a snobby cheerleader, she often speaks with this accent.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Aside from Jasmine, she manages to convince her entire team that ''Samey'' is the mean twin and not her, to the point where she’s able to successfully get her voted off when they suffer their first lost.

A tall girl from the Australian outback whose expertise in wilderness survival comes naturally to her. While her imposing height tends to intimidate others, Jasmine is nothing but a kind and caring soul with strong leadership skills and a sisterly attitude.
----
* AbortedArc: Her friendship with Samey gets dropped altogether once she's eliminated in "A Blast to the Past" almost to the point where it feels like it never even happened.
* ActionDuo: With Shawn, especially in "Scarlett Fever". Though which of the two serves as ActionHero and ActionSurvivor vary with the episode, as both of them have crippling fears that can make the other one the brave one.
* ActionGirl: Given her Outback survival skills.
* AllAmazonsWantHercules: Played with; while she's much stronger and taller than her crush, Shawn, she's deeply impressed by his survivalist skills and fighting ability.
* ArcHero: Post-Merger she, Shawn and Sky become the TokenGoodTeammate's and throughout the remaining episodes have to deal with the BigBadEnsemble of Sugar, [[spoiler:Scarlett and Dave]].
* AwesomeAussie: A rare female example, but she's basically a great big tribute to this trope, as she's a [[ActionSurvivor wilderness survivor]] from Australia.
* BackForTheFinale: She returns as Shawn's helper in the final challenge.
* BattleCouple: With Shawn in episode 10.
* TheBeastmaster: She displays a hypnotic control over the grease pig.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Even with her generally well-intentioned disposition, and given her supreme physical strength, one must know that she ''still'' has her own limits (like Amy should've).
* TheBigGirl: Though she doubles as TheLeader.
* BigNo: She is prone to doing this.
** She gives one as Samey was about to bite into a poisonous manchineel fruit in "I Love You, Grease Pig!".
** In "Twinning Isn't Everything", she gives it as the balloon she, Samey, and Amy were fighting over bursts.
** In "Mo Monkey, Mo Problems", she gives yet another one when she sees a tree full of monkeys, with any one of them holding her team's gold coin.
* BrokenBird: Following Shawn's actions in "A Blast from the Past".
* CantTakeCriticism: When Shawn secretly mocks her plan for the prize money behind her back, Jasmine becomes furious at him and cries.
* CassandraTruth: She is the first one to notice that something is off about the island, and is usually the one to notice when a landmark has suddenly appeared or disappeared. However, for several episodes, no one else notices (except Shawn once and later Scarlett) or they dismiss it when she brings it up.
* CatsAreMean: During her audition, Jasmine's cat, Whiskers, jumps on her upper arm and bites it for no apparent reason. Jasmine simply shrugs it off and finishes the audition. Later on, in "Sky Fall", Whiskers brutally attacks the camera when Jasmine tries to give her a bath. The end results are quite predictable.
* {{Claustrophobia}}: Has a crippling fear of small, enclosed spaces, likely attributed to her tall stature.
* CoolBigSis: Acts as one to Samey, encouraging her to act tough and to stand up against her real sister Amy, who contrasts Jasmine by being a BigSisterBully. She also helps Samey {{masquerade}} as Amy, telling her how to act like Amy and covering up for her in "I Love You, I Love You Knots".
* {{Expy}}: Confirmed by Fresh TV to be one of Series/{{MacGyver|1985}}.
* {{Foil}}: To Dave. Both are the love interest to the finalists of the season and both of their relationships with their lovers serves as a major plot point. Jasmine is physically strong, immediately establishes herself as the leader, and is very helpful to her team, while Dave is weak, is often ignored by his team, and is the biggest [[TheLoad load]] to his team after Beardo and Leonard are eliminated. Dave keeps trying to get with Sky but gets rejected, while Jasmine pushes Shawn away herself. During the finale, when they have to stop Shawn and Sky from reaching the finish line, Jasmine starts feeling bad for hurting Shawn and helps him get out of the avalanche, while Dave will gladly hurts Sky, with Sky buried in the avalanche in Shawn's ending. Jasmine ultimately gets together with Shawn, while Dave and Sky part on bad terms. Ironically they both sabotaged each other's love interests, with Dave convincing Shawn to hit Jasmine with a baton in "A Blast from the Past" and causing Jasmine to hate him for the next few episodes and Jasmine encouraging Sky to ignore Dave and focus on the game.
* FriendlessBackground: She explains it's due to people being intimidated by her size.
* GeniusBruiser: The season's strongest and toughest contestant is also an expert survivalist with botanist knowledge.
* GentleGiant: One of the absolute tallest characters in the series, but ultimately a kind-hearted person overall.
* GoodIsNotNice: Downplayed. While Jasmine is nice, she tends to grab the JerkassBall on occasion. Sometimes she lets her temper get the best of her.
* HeightAngst: She is rather insecure about her imposing height.
* HugeSchoolgirl: She is the tallest character in ''Total Drama'' history (other than mutated Dakota) and towers over all the characters, even Chef Hatchet.
* KindheartedCatLover: Unfortunately, Whiskers [[CatsAreMean doesn't return the love]].
* TheLeader: Of Team Kinosewak, as she pulls her team to victory for the first two episodes.
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: The survivalist masculine girl to Rodney's romantic feminine boy.
* MirrorCharacter: She is in every aspect a DistaffCounterpart of Manitoba Smith, even down to the fact they're AwesomeAussie ActionHeroes.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The in-between to Samey's nice and Amy's mean.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: She's based on [[Series/CrocodileHunter Bindi Irwin]].
* OfficialCouple: Becomes one with Shawn after the merge.
* OneHeadTaller: Gender inverted with Shawn.
* OneSteveLimit: Averted. She shares her name with Leshawna's friend, Jasmin, a minor character appearing in a video short for ''Island''.
* SecretKeeper: She knows that Samey set Amy up for a fall, and helps Samey pose as Amy.
* ShipTease: With Shawn. Although (for a while) Jasmine is angered at his 'betrayal' when she threw a challenge for him, they eventually make up and end up as an OfficialCouple.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Her friendship with Samey is focused on a good bit pre-merge, along with her ShipTease with Shawn being focused on throughout the season. The only episode where she's absent is "Phak'd with Talent".
* StatuesqueStunner: Except for Rodney and Chef Hatchet, she towers over the ''Pahkitew Island'' cast.
* SuperStrength: She breaks a tree with a ''single'' punch and lifts one up later on.
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: With Shawn.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Once Samey is gone, she's all that's left on a team of villains, at least until Sky joined.
* TomboyishPonytail: Wears a ponytail.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: An outdoor survivalist who wants to open a flower shop/cage-fighting school.
* {{Tsundere}}: Type B. Even with her own limits, she is still very kind and considerate for others.
* TsurimeEyes: Fitting as she's practically a natural-born leader.
* VocalEvolution: At the start of the season her voice is noticeably deeper than in her audition video. However later on it becomes higher once more (especially when she's scared or excited) and begins to resemble her audition voice more closely.
* WithUsOrAgainstUs: Jasmine tells Sky this in "Three Zones and A Baby" in regards to which team she's loyal to.
* YoungerThanSheLooks: Contrary to what her height suggests, she's a teenager.

A diminutive, pudgy, purple-haired boy who proclaims himself to be an evil genius of the highest order. Max is a shamelessly CardCarryingVillain with dreams of world domination that he believes will start with ''Total Drama''. However, his ineptness at pulling off evil deeds suggests otherwise.
----
* AchillesHeel: He is prone to EvilGloating, which often gets him in trouble.
* AnimalsHateHim: He is attacked by animals a '''lot'''.
* ArcHero: To spite [[BigBadWannabe wanting to be villain]] [[spoiler:he ends up being integral to defeating the real BigBad Scarlett who'd been a FalseFriend, using him as a pawn and tricking him into hurting himself all season. [[DudeWheresMyRespect He still gets eliminated alongside her immediately after]] because Chris was sick of CardCarryingVillain's.]]
* AttentionWhore: His desire to be a super-villain is certainly some kind of cry for attention.
* TheBeastMaster: It seems this way when his helmet turns a grease pig evil, but this is subverted when it betrays him.
* BigBadWannabe: His entire gimmick is acting like a [[CardCarryingVillain blatantly obvious]] super-villain, but instead, he comes off as LaughablyEvil.
* BunglingInventor: He has created an assortment of evil inventions during his time on the show, but they scarcely ever work and mostly backfire on him. If they do happen to work, it's usually because [[HyperCompetentSidekick Scarlett]] has tweaked them.
* CantGetAwayWithNuthin: Almost every time he acts evil, it bites him in the butt.
* CardCarryingVillain: His title is "The Super-Villain", plus he never stops reminding everyone of how "evil" he is.
* CharacterCatchphrase:
** "Time to EVIL!", which he literally states as such.
** "REVENGE!!!", when he feels that he has been wronged.
* CheatersNeverProsper: He's extremely unsuccessful for a cheater in Total Drama.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: His immature obsession to be a scheming villain and over-the-top attitude definitely makes him a strange character.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: While he usually sucks at being evil, there are moments when he is genuinely competent, for example when he shocks Ella in episode 5 with help from Scarlett.
* CutenessProximity: Happens to him when he's around babies.
* DepravedDwarf: '''Very''' downplayed. He tries to be a highly menacing villain in front of others, but comes off as more of a mere annoyance to them (including both Chris and Scarlett).
* TheDragon: To Scarlett, though he doesn't know it.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The [[EvilGloating speech]] he gives in his audition video gives a very clear indication of what he's like.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Is surprisingly good with babies and has a soft spot for them.
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** He tells Samey that her jealousy towards Amy is the lowest form of evil.
** He alongside all of Team Kinosewak glare at Sugar for laughing at Ella's heartbroken state.
** Threatening to kill people is going too far even for him. After Scarlett reveals her true self, he is seen in the confessional in the TroubledFetalPosition, [[StillSucksThumb sucking his thumb]] out of fear.
* EvilGenius: He fancies himself as such, but he is not that bright.
* EvilGloating: He often boasts about his evil accomplishments. [[spoiler:When Scarlett is in the Cannon of Shame, he gloats about being the only villain left, which prompts Chris and Chef to throw him in the cannon with Scarlett, much to her dismay.]]
* EvilIsHammy: By far the hammiest villain to ever appear on the show.
* EvilIsPetty: A lot of his evil schemes are rather childish, such as in "I Love You, Grease Pig", he takes great enjoyment in flinging grease onto Dave.
* EvilerThanThou: Or so he thinks. He comes to realize this couldn't be less true, [[spoiler:once Scarlett reveals herself.]]
* {{Expy}}: Of [[Film/AustinPowers Dr. Evil]]. He has a nearly identical outfit, as well as the fact he's an HarmlessVillain who relies on a HyperCompetentSidekick.
* FanDisservice: His [[MaleFrontalNudity pants drop]] in front of Scarlett.
* ForTheEvulz: Is evil just for the sake of it.
* FriendlessBackground: Acting like a supervillain doesn't exactly win friends over.
* FriendToAllChildren: He babysits and is extremely sweet to the babies in "Three Zones and a Baby".
* GeniusDitz: While he does have some legitimate moments of intelligence, such as coming up with evil gadgets (most of the things he invented ''worked'', for one thing, even if they would go awry), he also has a severe lack of common sense and foresight that often [[TooDumbToLive puts his life on the line]].
* GenreRefugee: Typically the contestants are based on Reality TV archetypes or teenage stereotypes, Max on the other hand looks and acts like he stepped right out of a wacky Saturday morning cartoon.
* GiantScrapRobot: Max builds one of these in the intro; however, due to his incompetence, it promptly falls apart when he activates it.
* {{Gonk}}: The writers have outdone themselves to make him as ugly as possible: An oversized head, grey skin, purple hair, a pig nose, and multiple chins (although, this got briefly hindered during his moments with a baby while still being in the competition).
* HarmlessVillain: Tries hard to be evil, but fails epically at it. Though there are moments where he is genuinely good at being bad, even if most of them are Scarlett's ideas. Lampshaded by Shawn in "Twinning Isn't Everything", where he praises Max's strategy in popping the opposing team's balloons, but reasons he isn't clever enough to have thought of it (and he's right to think that).
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler:At Scarlett's elimination, Max gloats about how he is now the only villain remaining, which causes him to get eliminated alongside her.]]
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: According to his audition tape, part of the reason he signed up for ''Total Drama'' was so that he could meet people.
* IronButtMonkey: ''Pahkitew Island's'' designated pain magnet.
* {{Jerkass}}: Naturally, given that he is a wannabe super-villain.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While he claims to be evil, he does have a [[FriendToAllChildren soft spot for babies]].
* KarmicButtMonkey: Nobody really cares for him, and he's on the receiving end of nearly all jokes. More often than not, he also brings his pain upon himself.
* KickTheDog: He electrocutes sweet, innocent Ella using an electric eel and enjoys it. Even if it was Scarlett's idea.
* LargeHam: His brand of "[[PokeThePoodle villainy]]" is certainly [[EvilIsHammy not subtle]].
* LaserGuidedKarma: The evil schemes he conjures up ''without'' Scarlett's help often backfire on him.
* LaughablyEvil: He is one of the few villains whose sole purpose is for comic relief.
* LesserOfTwoEvils: Contrary to what he believes, he is most certainly ''not'' the BigBad.
* MirrorCharacter: To Scott. Being a born troublemaker who is also a ButtMonkey on the villains' side. In addition, they are both [[AnimalsHateHim hated by animals]] and [[IronButtMonkey get hurt on a regular basis]].
** With Scarlett becoming Izzy's EvilCounterpart, he ends up being one to Owen. Both are naïve, childlike FatIdiot and TheLoad of their teams save a few HiddenDepths. Although Owen is a KindheartedSimpleton without a malicious bone in his body, while Max considers himself an evil genius but is completely out of his depth. Owen was madly in love with Izzy when he knew she was crazy but their relationship was cut to an end when she revealed her super intelligence, Max was close and possibly attracted to Scarlett when he thought she was just a super-genius but when she turned out to be crazy he became absolutely terrified of her.
* TheNapoleon: Downplayed, since he's not that seen as being significantly threatening in front of others.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The mean to Rodney's nice and Topher's in-between.
* NonGameplayElimination: [[spoiler:When Scarlett is booted off the island after attempting to blow up the other campers in "Scarlett Fever", Chris elects to have Max kicked off too after he boasts about picking up where Scarlett left off, having had enough of "evil".]]
* NoNeckChump: Max is a short, pudgy boy whose head at cheek level makes a straight line down to his torso.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: He has one of the most bizarre designs to date. He has extremely pale skin, an over-sized head with no neck (similar to Owen but with no point of separation of his head and body), a pig-like nose, purple hair, as well as being excessively short.
* TheNotLoveInterest: He and Scarlett rarely have significant interaction with anyone but each other. A few characters seem to interpret them as a couple, and Max seems to think Scarlett could be attracted to him, but they firmly remain platonic friends/enemies.
* ObviouslyEvil: {{Parodied|Trope}}. He may be an [[HarmlessVillain incompetent villain]], but he has almost every villain cliché crossed off the list.
* OnlyFriend: Scarlett. [[FalseFriend Or so he believes]].
* OutsideGenreFoe: In a fictional animated reality show where most contestants are teen stereotypes (i.e. {{Jerk Jock}}s, {{Alpha Bitch}}es, and {{Stereotypical Nerd}}s), Max looks and acts like the [[BigBad main antagonist]] of a wacky Saturday morning cartoon.
* PokeThePoodle: Most of his "evil" schemes are minor annoyances at best.
* RedOniBlueOni: He's the hammy and egotistical red to Scarlett's cold and calculating blue. [[spoiler:Until Scarlett reveals her true colors, anyway]].
* SarcasmBlind: He doesn't realize that Scarlett was being sarcastic about his evil genius until she reveals her true self.
* ShipTease: With Scarlett.
* SimpletonVoice: Played with. He believes that he is an EvilGenius, although he's shown to not be very bright.
* SkewedPriorities: He's more interested in causing evil than he is in helping his team.
* SmallNameBigEgo: As far as his super-villainy is concerned.
* SmartPeopleBuildRobots: He made one in the opening. Though it should be emphasized, he only ''thinks'' he's smart, and the quality of his robot reflects this statement.
* SmugSnake: He is overconfident in his villainy skills, and it eventually leads to his demise.
* StillSucksThumb: When Scarlett reveals herself as a dangerous criminal mastermind in "[[Recap/TotalDramaScarlettFever Scarlett Fever]]", a terrified Max holds himself in a TroubledFetalPosition while he sucks his thumb.
* StupidEvil: A wannabe supervillain who is a complete moron.
* SupervillainLair:
** In his Audition Video, what Max did to his bedroom, sure doesn't look child friendly.
** In "So, This Is My Team?", he also scopes out a cave, which would subsequently be used by Team Maskwak as their quarters, to use as a secret lair; however he changes his mind after encountering [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes bats]].
* TakeOverTheWorld: What he aspires to do.
* TooDumbToLive: He decides it's a good idea to randomly guess combinations to a locked door ''after'' Chris tells him the door would shock him for inputting a wrong combination. He then re-enters a wrong combination he had already tried and got shocked for earlier. Scarlett [[ExploitedTrope allows him to keep entering combinations]], concluding that either he will eventually enter the correct combination, or the lock system will short itself out after administering too many shocks. [[TakeAThirdOption Or he dies trying]].
--->'''Max:''' Let's try "1-2-3" again. ''(the door shocks him, again)'' \
'''Scarlett:''' Keep going. [[SarcasmMode I just KNOW you'll get it]].
* UnEvilLaugh: Max's EvilLaugh is so ridiculous sounding it comes off as laughable rather than intimidating.
* VillainousFriendship: With Scarlett. Type IV with Shades of Type I later on.
* VillainsOutShopping: He hasn't had time to carry out his plans of global domination because he's busy with French horn lessons and babysitting.
* VomitIndiscretionShot: In "Hurl and Go Seek", he vomits on a control panel Scarlett was trying to figure out how to hack, shorting it out.
-->'''Max:''' [[LampshadeHanging Evil vomits!]]

A big, burly farm boy whose hulking form belies his shy and gentle personality. However, he has no social skills when it comes to talking to girls and mistakes even the smallest form of interaction with the opposite sex as a sign of a blossoming romance.
----
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: He falls in love with every girl he meets but is incapable of expressing his feelings properly, resulting in all his relationships being woefully one-sided.
* TheBigGuy: He is the second tallest and heaviest camper among the third generation, and largely there as DumbMuscle.
* BlackBeadEyes: He is one of a few non-bespectacled characters to have them.
* BuffySpeak: When he tries to profess his love for a girl, his words and phrases often come out as this.
* CantSpitItOut: His main gimmick, which applies to '''any''' girl he talks to, with the exception of Sugar.
* ChildishToothGap: One of few characters to have a noticeable tooth gap and also one of the less intelligent ones.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Rodney falls for every girl he encounters, but his dialogue while calling out Samey shows that he's not into mean girls.
* FarmBoy: Labeled the "Country Boy".
* FlatCharacter: He has little personality outside of crushing on any girl he sees.
* FoolForLove: A severe lack of female interaction at home makes him one.
* GentleGiant: Rodney is extremely muscular and is the biggest of the third generation. He is very unassuming, cute, and handsome.
* GrowlingGut: His stomach growls when he's hungry.
* HalfWittedHillbilly: Rodney is a FarmBoy and not very bright.
* HopelessSuitor: None of his crushes even know that he's fallen for them.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: He is the huge guy to practically every girl he crushes on, except for [[StatuesqueStunner Jasmine]].
* KindheartedSimpleton: Rodney is a sweet-natured guy who despite his dysfunctionally simplistic outlook on romance always tries to let the girls he thinks are in love with him down gently.
* TheLoad: In the Truth or Scare challenge.
* LoveMakesYouDumb: Or maybe in his case, he loves ''because'' [[HalfWittedHillbilly he's dumb]]. With him, it's kind of hard to tell.
* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: The romantic feminine boy to Jasmine's survivalist masculine girl.
* MassiveNumberedSiblings: He mentions having five little brothers.
* MirrorCharacter:
** Rodney is the third generation's sensitive GentleGiant, much like DJ for the first gen and Brick for the second gen. However, Rodney is a hopeless romantic while DJ and Brick were largely aromantic.
** Rodney is similar to Scott, as they're both {{Half Witted|Hillbilly}} {{Farm Boy}}s and have red hair. However, their personalities are day and night, with Rodney being a GentleGiant while Scott was a CardCarryingVillain during ''Revenge of the Island'' while [[TookALevelInKindness becoming somewhat nicer]] in ''All Stars''. Also, Rodney is eliminated only four episodes in during his only season, whereas Scott has made [[SpotlightStealingSquad the final four]] of both seasons he competed in. The one thing the two really had in common was their [[AmazonChaser taste]] and [[LoveMakesYouDumb approach]] to romance.
** Within the same generation, he is one to Sugar. Both are the {{Big Guy}}s of their respective teams, and both have a rural background. While Rodney was a love-struck GentleGiant who was ousted only four episodes in, Sugar was a sadistic FatBitch who persisted until ''Pahkitew Island's'' penultimate episode.
* MissingMom: He mentions living with his dad and five little brothers, but doesn't explain his mother's absence. WordOfGod states that Rodney's mother was the unfortunate victim of a cattle stampede when he was little, leading him to grow up without any significant female figures throughout his childhood.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The nice to Max's mean and Topher's in-between.
* SerialRomeo: Rodney thinks that every girl who has any interaction with him is the one for him and that the interaction equals the initiation of a relationship. In reality, none of the girls know what he's talking about when he inevitably breaks up with them to move on to the next girl. The fact that he can't form coherent sentences when talking with girls he's into doesn't help.
* SuperToughness: Rodney is strong, but his body's ability to do impact damage is more pronounced. In "[[Recap/TotalDramaSoUhThisIsMyTeam So, Uh, This Is My Team?]]", he obliviously sinks up to his knees into the beach when he lands while the sand doesn't give way to anyone else. As well, when he's blasted of the island by means of the Cannon of Shame in "[[Recap/TotalDramaILoveYouILoveYouKnots I Love You, I Love You Knots]]", he hits a battleship and sinks it. However, in "Twinning Isn't Everything", Amy, a tiny cheerleader, punches him in the gut, and he flinches.
* TemptingFate: Rodney taunted Clucky the chicken when he didn't have to do a truth challenge for the tiebreaker. However, he was unable to win and was zapped (with his team) by said chicken multiple times when it got the remote.
* TooDumbToLive: He tells an angry chicken that he likes eating eggs for breakfast. It ends with him getting severely electrocuted.
* UnexplainedRecovery: Upon being eliminated, Rodney is shot by the Cannon of Shame against a battleship, sinking it. However, given how he appears as one of the options for helpers in the finale, it can be implied that Rodney did not only survive but didn't get hurt as he was a possible option for helper. [[UncertainDoom As for the battleship's crew...]]
* YouthfulFreckles: He's a young man who, like most gingers, has freckles.

The twin sister of Amy. Sammy (or Samey, as her sister calls her) is also a cheerleader but has lived her entire life under the thumb of her bullying sibling. As a result, she is quite timid and has low self-esteem, believing Amy's boasts of being the better sister to be true.
----
* AbortedArc: Both her trying to be her own person as well as her friendship with Jasmine. The former is dropped after she tricks Amy into being eliminated in her place while the latter is dropped after she's eliminated to the point where it feels like it never even happened.
* AlwaysSecondBest: How she is viewed by Amy.
* ApologisesALot: Seems to have inherited this from Zoey.
* ArcHero: Her sister Amy is the [[StarterVillain very first villain]] of the seasons [[TheBigBadShuffle series of antagonists]] and she's the one who takes the brunt of her abuse. Her learning to stand up to Amy, getting her eliminated and subsequently impersonating her is a major story arc of the fist five episodes. But after that the season moves on to other stories and she and her sister are both forgotten about.
* BackstabbingTheAlphaBitch: She finally gets revenge on Amy in "Twinning Isn't Everything".
* BareMidriffsAreFeminine: Like her sister, she's one of the more feminine members of the team and wears a cheerleader outfit that reveals her stomach.
* BeautyEqualsGoodness: Aside from not having a genuine mole (where she later fakes having one to impersonate her twin sister), the biggest difference between her and Amy is their moral alignments, where Samey herself is genuinely much nicer in comparison (even if she gets less popularity or concern from others due to Amy's social manipulation).
* BeleagueredAssistant: Jasmine calls her out on this, saying that Samey doesn't have to do ''everything'' Amy tells her. While Jasmine appreciates Samey's help in foraging for food, Jasmine wants it to be Samey's own choice and not because Amy told her to help.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Her cruel sister Amy learns this the hard way.
* BlatantLies: In her audition video, Samey claims that she doesn't have a sister, yet Amy calls for her towards the end.
* BondOneLiner: She gives one after Amy is shot out of the Cannon of Shame in "Twinning Isn't Everything", even doing it as a TitleDrop.
* BullyAndWimpPairing: A rare female example, she is the Wimp to Amy's Bully; however, Samey eventually learns to stand up for herself.
* ButtMonkey: No thanks to Amy, who often treats her sister as her personal slave.
-->'''Chris:''' I was worried about cruelty to animals during this challenge, but [[LampshadeHanging I'm fine with cruelty to Samey]].
* TheCassandra: She tries to warn others about Amy's malicious behavior. Unfortunately for her, almost no one believes in her, except for Jasmine, who thankfully understood the younger twin sister's issue with her older twin sister.
* CharacterDevelopment: As she progressively learns to stand up to Amy. Contrast her in episode 1 and episode 5, where she started off being kicked around by her sister, but by the end, she is not afraid to fight back.
* TheCutie: A much better example for this trope than her twin sister Amy.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Her and Amy's conflict is focused on heavily during "Twinning Isn't Everything."
* DecoyProtagonist: Is initially set up as one of the main protagonists of ''Pahkitew Island'', with her rivalry with Amy and friendship with Jasmine both getting a large amount of focus. [[spoiler:She is then eliminated during "A Blast from the Past" approximately a third of the way through the season, and makes no further appearances.]]
* TheDividual: Amy invokes this, defining Samey as nothing more than a "lesser Amy." While the twins hate each other, their character arc is intertwined and they have little to nothing outside of their conflict.
* DoNotCallMePaul: She wishes to be called by her real name "Sammy", but her sister calls her "Samey". Much to her chagrin, Chris decides to roll with it and states that she will be referred to as "Samey" going forward.
* DownerEnding: [[spoiler:In the end, she gets eliminated before the merge, never gets any reward money, has to return home with her BigSisterBully and will have to deal with her at least until she moves out of their parents' home, and the OnlyFriend she's ever made [[ForgottenFallenFriend completely forgets about her after she's officially eliminated]].]]
* EmbarrassingNickname: As if "Samey" wasn't a disparaging enough name, Amy manages to come up with a new, even more embarrassing nickname: "[[{{Portmanteau}} Spareamy]]".
--> '''Amy:''' ''(in the confessional)'' Okay, since when does ''anyone'' take Samey's side? She's just a wannabe me, a "spare Amy"! ''(gasping upon realizing what she just said)'' Her name should be "Spareamy"! I'm going to change her birth certificate as soon as we get home!
* ExtremeDoormat: She allows Amy to walk all over her, up until "Twinning Isn't Everything".
* FriendlessBackground: She tells Jasmine that she doesn't have many friends due to Amy's bullying.
* TheGloriousWarOfSisterlyRivalry: It reaches its climax when Amy returns in "A Blast from the Past".
* GoodCounterpart: To Mal, he was a cruel, sadistic, psychopath who impersonated his kind, mild-mannered alter ego in order to avoid elimination. Samey is a sweet, naïve girl who impersonated her cruel, emotionally abusive twin sister to avoid getting eliminated. Both only maintained the ruse for a limited amount of time.
* GrewASpine: She considers standing up to Amy in "I Love You, Grease Pig!", then does so in the following episode.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: In contrast to her sister.
* TheHeart: Serves as this for Team Kinosewak, being the most compassionate member of her team.
* IAmNotPretty: One of the things Amy has convinced Samey she is better at is being "the pretty one"...despite the fact that they're identical twins who look exactly alike. As Jasmine puts it, they're ''both'' the pretty one.
* IdenticalTwinIDTag: Invoked. Samey mentions in a confessional that she let her twin sister Amy shave her head in the past, with Amy claiming that it was for people to "tell them apart".
* ImpersonatingTheEvilTwin: From "Twinning Isn't Everything" to "A Blast from the Past" she pretends to be her cruel sister. During that period, Jasmine has to remind her to act "more Amy, less Samey".
* InformedAbility: Her label and her outfit suggest that she's a cheerleader, but any related gymnastic abilities never come up in the show. The outfit seems entirely cosmetic.
* LadyInRed: Like her sister, she also wears a red cheerleader outfit.
* TheLancer: In a different way to Amy, with Samey being Jasmine’s main sidekick and trusted ally on Team Kinosewak. She also contrasts Jasmine’s personality by being shy and submissive, while Jasmine is confident and authoritative.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: The Light to Amy's Dark.
* MeaningfulName: Her nickname is one more letter than the word "same", and arose specifically because she is the younger twin sister of Amy.
* MirrorCharacter:
** She's the Lindsay to Amy's Heather. Both girls are blonde and kindhearted.
** Within her own generation, she is similar to Ella. Both are the {{Nice Girl}}s of their respective teams, and both are abused by a blonde-haired AlphaBitch (Amy towards Samey, and Sugar towards Ella). However, the major difference between the two is that Samey GrewASpine and stood up against her wicked twin sister, while Ella, as an ActualPacifist, [[AllLovingHeroine never shows any aggression]] towards Sugar and even attempted to befriend her.
* NiceGirl: In contrast to her {{Jerkass}} sister.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The nice to Amy's mean and Jasmine's in between.
* OhCrap: When Amy returns for revenge.
* OnlyKnownByHerNickname: Her real name is Sammy, short for Samantha, but Amy [[DoNotCallMePaul forces the name]] Samey on her.
* PolarOppositeTwins: Samey's kind-hearted, polite, and generous demeanor is a stark contrast to her sister's cruel, rude and selfish attitude.
* RageBreakingPoint: After enduring nearly a lifetime of bullying from Amy, Samey's suppressed anger all comes out during her time on Pahkitew Island.
* RedOniBlueOni: The Blue to Amy's Red.
* {{Revenge}}: Samey finally has enough of all the abuse she takes and has her revenge by [[spoiler:making Amy eat a poisonous fruit and getting eliminated in her place]].
* TheScapegoat: She always shoulders the blame for [[NeverMyFault Amy's]] mistakes.
-->''(after the twins come out of a [[ItMakesSenseInContext greased tube with their team's pig]])'' \
'''Amy:''' I'm sweaty and disgusting! I look like you! \
'''Samey:''' I'm sorry! ''(tries to brush Amy off)'' But ''you're'' the one who scared the pig. \
'''Amy:''' ''(she slaps Samey's hand away)'' You beg my pardon?! ''Whose'' fault is this?! \
'''Samey:''' ''(in a defeated tone)'' Mine. \
'''Amy:''' Yes! ''Always!''
* ShipperOnDeck: She supports Jasmine and Shawn getting together.
%%* SiblingRivalry: Though it only begins to surface in "Twinning Isn't Everything" onwards.
%%* SiblingYinYang: The Yin to Amy's Yang.
* ThemeTwinNaming: Invoked against her will. Her name is Sammy, but Amy calls her Samey to emphasize that she's a "lesser Amy."
* TookALevelInBadass: At the start, Samey was an ExtremeDoormat to Amy who let herself get regularly abused, but by the end, she physically fights her sister for her own rights.

A highly intelligent girl with a tendency towards speaking in a scientifically verbose manner. Scarlett appears to be a shy, polite, and soft-spoken young woman, but this personality is merely a façade for her true character - one far more sinister and psychotic than anyone could have guessed.

----
* AbortedArc: She was originally going to be ''Pahkitew Island's'' main villain but this was changed to making her a one-episode threat.
* AllThereInTheManual: According to her character bio, the lenses in her glasses are fake implying that she wears them as part of her ruse of being the HiddenVillain. This is further evidenced by her taking them off in "Scarlett Fever" when she's in full villain mode and goes about things without her glasses on.
* AnimeHair: When she lets out her PrimAndProperBun and reveals her true self.
* AnythingButThat: She begs Chris not to blast her away concurrently with Max, as by this point she wants nothing to do with him anymore.
* AxCrazy: Her true self is this. To the extent where she tried to [[spoiler: blow up the island which would have killed everyone.]]
* AwesomeByAnalysis: Uses her intellect and observation skills to come up with impressive {{Batman Gambit}}s, especially when she figured out the island was artificial, giving her the idea of using the command controls to blackmail Chris into giving her the money.
* TheBaroness: Scarlett is of the Rosa Klebb subtype due to her librarian-eques appearance. However, Scarlett's plainness was just a front to her true self. Unlike many Rosa Klebb Baronesses, Scarlett is simply [[PutOnABus blasted off the island]] and not {{killed off|for real}}.
* BatmanGambit: She often uses these to get ahead.
** In "Mo Monkey Mo Problems", she suggests playing "Monkey See Monkey Do" with a tree full of monkeys in order to retrieve their team's gold coin.
** She does this with Max several times.
** [[spoiler:Knowing that Chris is a habitual liar, she tricks the other campers by stating that they can't disable the island's self-destruct sequence from the control room, directing them to another room. The others believe her, only to walk into an ambush of robotic Chris drones.]]
** [[spoiler:Ironically, she falls victim to one. Sky knew that Scarlett wouldn't open the door to the control room unless it was Chris with the million dollars. Sky and the others use a busted Chris robot to trick Scarlett into opening the control room door, which results in Scarlett getting hogtied by her hair by Sugar and the island's self-destruct sequence halted.]]
* BeleagueredAssistant: Max treats her like one, [[HyperCompetentSidekick much to her annoyance]].
* BewareTheQuietOnes: [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] by Topher in "Three Zones and a Baby".
--> '''Topher''': Um... When did Scarlett get so scary?
* BigBadEnsemble: With Sugar of ''Pahkitew Island''.
* BigNo: She gives one after Max throws away her hacked remote control for the island's computer systems.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Has everyone fooled until "Scarlett Fever".
* BondVillainStupidity: Gets hit with this hard during the last five minutes of "Scarlett Fever"; she has complete control over Pahkitew Island and the contestants at her mercy, either hand her the money or she lets the island self-destruct and kill them. What happens next? She lets the control room door open, leaving her wide open to Sugar giving her a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown and foiling her EvilPlan, and all because Max tricked her with a ''very'' obviously beaten up Chris robot who was visibly glitching. Never mind that this came from the smartest contestant in the season.
* ChessmasterSidekick: She assists Max in his ridiculous evil schemes and is clearly the brains of the two, but he thinks of her as nothing more than a sidekick. She does not take well to this knowledge.
* CombatDiplomacyStealth: In terms of strategies, Scarlett is the Stealth, she spent the whole season [[HiddenVillain hiding her true nature]] under the guise of a shy, nerdy TeenGenius, plotting behind everyone's back to take over the island and using Max as TheScapegoat to fulfil her need to cheat and hurt people, to Sugar's Combat and Amy/Topher's Diplomacy.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: The first and only BigBad who [[HiddenVillain stays hidden]] from the audience for the majority of the season, with only [[{{Foreshadowing}} small hints]] being revealed of her [[BitchInSheepsClothing true nature]] along the way, before TheReveal where she shows her true antagonist colors for [[ADayInTheLimelight one episode]] before [[DiscOneFinalBoss she's gone]].
* ADayInTheLimelight: "Scarlett Fever."
* DeadpanSnarker: When she's around Max.
* DeathGlare: Gives one to Topher in "Three Zones and a Baby", scaring him.
* DisproportionateRetribution:
** [[spoiler:She shares in a confessional that her brother pulled her hair once. She, in turn, made his remote control toys come to life and attack him at night. For six years. She states that he is still in therapy for it.]]
** She does this again when she [[spoiler:attempted to destroy the island solely because Chris refused to give her the prize money]].
* DistaffCounterpart:
** Her bio actually describes her as being a female Cameron, due to both being {{Impossible Genius}}es who [[GadgeteerGenius excels at handling technology]].
** To Mal; much like him, she fools everyone into thinking that she is nice, is successful at doing so, is a CardCarryingVillain, is taken seriously when her true nature is revealed, has no redeeming or comedic qualities, and is sociopathic.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: She is yet another [[ADayInTheLimelight guest villain]] in a season that lacks a true main antagonist. She is eliminated in the very episode she [[spoiler: reveals her true nature]].
* TheDogWasTheMastermind: When she reveals her true self.
-->'''Scarlett:''' ''This'' is the real me! The Scarlett I've kept hidden until now! Biding my time; waiting to strike! I... am... '''EVIL!!!''' ''([[EvilLaugh cackles evilly]])''
* DorkInASweater: Befitting her librarian-esque appearance and high intelligence, she wears a sweater.
* TheDragon: Max believes that she is his sidekick when in reality, he's her [[UnwittingPawn pawn]].
* DragonInChief: Most of Max's successful evil deeds were her ideas to begin with and in the grand scheme of the season.
* EnfantTerrible: She couldn't have been any older than nine or ten when she started using her brother's toys to attack him.
* EvilAllAlong: Downplayed. While most antagonists hide their true nature, but let out their real intentions to the audience, there was almost no sign of Scarlett being ''as'' evil as she turned out to be. That being said, she was still blatantly the brains of ''[[ObviouslyEvil Max's]]'' operation, always demonstrated a general LackOfEmpathy, and certainly didn't go out of her way to seem nice.
* EvilCounterpart: She's pretty much an evil mixture of Harold and Izzy's alter ego Brainzilla.
* EvilGenius: She is one of the smartest contestants in the series and also among the evilest.
* EvilIsBurningHot: Like most villains, she is accompanied by a burning silhouette in the episode where she reveals her true nature.
* EvilIsHammy: Played with. Early in the season, she maintains a low-key personality to keep attention off of her; however, when she reveals her true self, her personality becomes more flamboyant.
* EvilLaugh: In "Scarlett Fever", she gives a more subdued laugh in the confessional while it becomes more flamboyant when she reveals her true self to Max.
* EvilPlan: Her end game in "Scarlett Fever" was to take over control of the island's command center, then use it to blackmail Chris into giving her the prize money or she would let the island blow up.
* EvilRedhead: Even though it's more of a ginger.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Her voice becomes noticeably deeper and [[EvilSoundsRaspy raspier]] when she reveals her true self.
* EvilerThanThou: More so than Max.
* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: When she reveals her true nature, she lets down her PrimAndProperBun.
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: At first glance, she seems to be an awkward and rather shy genius. However, that seemingly nonthreatening façade hides an ''extremely'' volatile personality and a dangerous mind.
* FauxAffablyEvil: At first she's like a weird but friendly and polite nerd, but she's really a calculating and ruthless psychopath with a LackOfEmpathy.
* FieryRedhead: Hidden for most of the season, but eventually revealed as an aspect of her true nature. When Scarlett reveals her true self, her hair even closely resembles fire.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: In her audition video, at the top-right-hand corner of the of the screen there is [[spoiler:a globe with ''knives'' lodged in it.]]
* FourEyesZeroSoul: She shows no remorse for her actions.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: After her final revelation.
* TheGlassesComeOff: When she reveals her true self.
* GoGetterGirl: Like Courtney, she intends to use the prize money to better herself. [[spoiler:However, the reason she gives in her audition, to attend the university of her choosing, is just a front to her real intentions.]]
* GoodEyesEvilEyes: Her irises become smaller after her reveal.
* GoodHairEvilHair: Before her reveal, Scarlett wears her hair neatly in a PrimAndProperBun. When she reveals her true personality, Scarlett's hair becomes [[MessyHair unkempt]] and [[FieryRedhead closely resembles fire]].
* HiddenVillain: The first of her kind for Total Drama villains, where the viewers don't get to know about her true nature until several episodes in.
* HateSink: [[spoiler:While more subtle than Amy, once her true nature is revealed, Scarlett is shown to be every bit as vile while being far more capable. She proudly admits to traumatizing her brother as a child so that he still needs therapy to this day. She also attempts to destroy the island and kill everyone still on it.]]
* HumiliationConga: [[spoiler:Her attempt to blackmail Chris by threatening the contestants lives blows up in her face when Max, of all people tricks her to opening the door to the control room using a busted up Chris bot, she ends up on the receiving end of a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown by Sugar, gets tied up with her own hair, and is blasted off the island with her least favorite contestant.]]
* HyperCompetentSidekick: To Max. The only reason any of his evil schemes succeeded was because Scarlett came up with them in the first place. She gets more than fed up with it.
-->'''Scarlett:''' I... am... ''not''... your... '''SIDEKICK!!!'''
* {{Irony}}: Max, the person she saw as completely incompetent and who she used to take over the show, manages to trick her (even if the plan was Sky's idea), which leads to her plans being foiled.
* KnightOfCerebus: "Scarlett Fever" is widely regarded as one of, if not the darkest episodes in the series, and it is all thanks to Scarlett's true personality being revealed.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Despite getting away with abusing Max throughout the season, her downfall ultimately comes from him.
* MadScientist: In her audition tape, Scarlett is sitting in what appears to be a laboratory, full of test tubes, flasks, and Bunsen burners, as well as a globe that's been stabbed by knives!
* ManipulativeBitch: She gives Heather and Alejandro a run for their money in the way she controls Max the whole season.
* MaskOfSanity: Throughout ''Pahkitew Island'' she appears to be one of the more normal contestants, oftentimes contrasting [[EvilIsHammy Max]]... and then "Scarlett Fever" plays.
* MeaningfulName: She explains she was named after an English surname derived from the occupational word for cloth. Also, it matches her hair color.
* MoreDeadlyThanTheMale: [[spoiler:With her true nature revealed, she has proven herself that she's actually '''much''' more threatening ''and'' menacing than Max is]].
* MotorMouth: Normally, Scarlett is TheQuietOne; however, when she starts speaking, she doesn't stop, especially when explaining something scientific.
* MirrorCharacter:
** She is basically a more serious [[spoiler:and evil]] version of Brainzilla, Izzy's super-intelligent persona. [[spoiler:Scarlett also ends up being as psychotic as Izzy; however, Izzy's craziness is PlayedForLaughs while Scarlett's is PlayedForDrama.]]
** She is also one to Harold as they're red-headed, bespectacled nerds. However, Scarlett appears to have a little more common sense than Harold. [[spoiler: And Harold isn't a homicidal psychopath.]]
** However [[spoiler:"Evil Scarlett" is often compared with Mal, being the only other true [[TheSociopath sociopath]] on the show.]]
** She's also what Courtney would have been [[spoiler:had she been better at hiding her vindictive side.]]
** [[spoiler:To Eva, both were the main antagonist for [[VillainOfTheWeek just one episode]] in a series that usually employs bigger ArcVillains, [[ADeathInTheLimelight and the episode ends with their elimination]]. However Eva was a [[BigBadWannabe ultimately just a temporary distraction]] from Heather, the true BigBad of the season. She was brought back unexpectedly and removed just as quickly and outside of her [[TheBerserker berserker strength]] didn't really have any skills that would make her a significant threat. Scarlett was [[{{Forshadowing}} subtly built up throughout the series]] and although only a villain for one episode is considered the true BigBad of the season because she [[KnightOfCerebus massively outclassed all the other villains]] in intelligence, threat and power.]]
* NerdyBully: At first she seems like a standard nerd who befriends Max the LaughablyEvil BigBadWannabe, but is later revealed to be a BitchInSheepsClothing and has tricked Max into hurting himself multiple times for her own amusement.
* NonGameplayElimination: [[spoiler:She's booted off the island after attempting to blow up the other campers on it in "Scarlett Fever".]]
* TheNotLoveInterest: She and Max rarely have significant interaction with anyone but each other. A few characters seem to interpret them as a couple, and Max seems to think Scarlett could be attracted to him, but they firmly remain platonic friends/enemies.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: She appears non-threatening at first, but over the course of the season, her true colors are revealed.
* OmnidisciplinaryScientist: There's no limit to her knowledge.
* OnlyFriend: Max. [[spoiler: Early on at least. However, unbeknownst to Max, [[FalseFriend Scarlett]] tries to get him eliminated [[TheStarscream numerous times. She failed.]]]]
* OutGambitted: By Max of all people.
* PowerMakesYourHairGrow: A variant. She wore glasses and kept her hair in a bun as part of maintaining the guise of an awkward and shy genius. However, when she reveals herself as a villain and takes over the island, she lets out her AnimeHair, emphasizing her true nature.
* PrimAndProperBun: She wears one throughout her run, but she lets it down when she reveals her true self.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: She does this at times to get a point across, especially when she reveals her true self.
-->'''Scarlett:''' ''(in confessional)'' It's official; I... ''hate''... Max!
* TheQuietOne: Her label "the Quiet Brainiac". However, when she ''does'' speak, she can become a MotorMouth.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: When she reveals her true self to Max; however, her irises revert back to their normal color shortly afterward.
* RedOniBlueOni: She's the cold and calculating blue to Max's hammy and egotistical red. [[spoiler:Until she reveals her true colours, anyway]].
* SarcasmMode: How she puts up with Max.
-->'''Scarlett:''' Wow. That's so evil.
* SatelliteCharacter: Doesn't seem to interact with anyone besides Max. This gets downplayed in later episodes where she starts interacting with more characters.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: Whenever she explains something to her teammates, she often starts with a long and drawn-out explanation, and when her teammates give her confused looks about what she just said, she is forced to give the short version.
* ShipTease: With Max.
* ShrinkingViolet: Subverted as part of her FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon personality. At first glance, she acted quiet and shy, but then she gradually drops it as she reveals her true nature later on.
* SignificantGreenEyedRedhead: Significant given that she is a major antagonist of the season.
* SlidingScaleOfAntagonistVileness: She is easily the evilest ''Pahkitew Island'' contestant, and possibly the evilest contestant period as her actions would have resulted in the destruction of the island and the deaths of Max, Jasmine, Shawn, Sky and Sugar. Even Chris doesn't approve of her actions and immediately eliminates her once the self-destruct switch is disarmed, rather than prolong things for his own enjoyment like he usually does.
* SmartPeopleSpeakTheQueensEnglish: Much more evident in her audition video, where she actually explains she's of English descent.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Wears glasses, and rivals Cameron in intelligence.
* TheSmartGirl: It's between her and Cameron for the most book-smart character of the whole series.
* TheSociopath: She's quite willing to kill everyone on the island simply to get the money.
* SpockSpeak: She speaks very formally.
* TheStarscream: After she reveals her hatred for Max, Scarlett tries to get him voted out every opportunity she gets. Even though she's very smart, she has failed every time.
* SurroundedByIdiots: How she views Max. To a lesser extent, this is how she views Jasmine and Topher when they show confusion about her SesquipedalianLoquaciousness.
-->'''Scarlett''': ''(in the confessional, in an annoyed tone)'' [[PunctuatedForEmphasis Use... little... words.]]
* TalkativeLoon: In the English airings.
* TakeOverTheWorld: The globe in her bedroom has two knives sticking out of it. This implies that this is her true aspiration in life.
* TheyLookJustLikeEveryoneElse: Scarlett dresses plainly as an average bookworm to hide her true villainous nature.
* VillainousFriendship: With Max. Type IV with Shades of Type I later on.
** [[spoiler:Subverted as of Episode 6 where she starts trying to eliminate him. Unfortunately for her, none of her attempts have worked.]]
** [[spoiler:Despite that, she still helps Max when they are both sick from food poisoning during the first individual challenge at the merge. However, she only stayed with him knowing that he would be easy elimination fodder.]]
* VocalEvolution: She has a much stronger English accent in her audition video.
* WalkingSpoiler: Revealing her true nature, as well as a couple of {{foreshadowing}} bits in the previous episode or two, changes just about everything the viewing audience thought they knew about her.
* TheWomanBehindTheMan: She strings Max along for the whole season, and has him carry out her plans while diverting attention away from herself.
* XanatosGambit: How she views letting Max keep trying the control panel to the island's control panel, either he gets it open, either by somehow guessing the right combination or by getting it to short out, or he dies trying, which she also considers a win.

A massive fanboy of Chris as every bit as arrogant as the host himself. Topher constantly fawns over Chris' skills as a reality show host and his ability to come up with life-threatening challenges. However, he secretly plans to replace Chris as the show's host.
----
* AmbiguouslyGay: Topher has a huge amount of hero worship towards Chris. It does look as if Topher wants to take over Chris' job as host of the series but he has behaved effeminately and made some questionable comments towards Chris.
* AscendedFanboy: Topher is a credible candidate for the position of Chris [=McLean's=] No. 1 Fan. Not only is Topher unfazed by his idol's sadism, he actually relishes it. When he's finally old enough to participate in a season of ''Total Drama'', his initial focus is on staying around Chris and watching him host. After only one day, though, he decides he'd like it better to have Chris's job instead.
* AttentionWhore: A very serious case of it, as he is always seen trying to hog Chris' spotlight or shoving his face in the camera.
* BigYes: In "Three Zones and a Baby", he gives one when he thinks that he's going to take over as host of ''Total Drama''. Unfortunately, he does this in an avalanche zone costing his team the challenge.
* CatsAreMean: Topher's cat, [[MeaningfulName Chef]], attacks him during his audition. Unlike Jasmine's cat Whiskers, Chef's attack is justified because Topher woke him up by shouting into a megaphone.
* CombatDiplomacyStealth: In terms of strategies, Topher is the Diplomacy along with Amy, not so much to his teammates but to Chis, constantly sucking up to him and playing TeachersPet, then trying to lower his self-esteem with StealthInsult's. Followed by a failed attempt to go behind his back and charm the producers into making him host. Compared to Sugar's Combat and Scarlett's Stealth.
* CoordinatedClothes: Topher wears clothes in exactly the same colors as his idol Chris. Chris is initially flattered, but when Topher begins his scheme to replace him, the fun comes to an end.
* DumbBlond: His hair is somewhere between dark blond and light brown. Regardless, Topher is not very bright.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Despite his selfishness and vanity, he seemed genuinely concerned for Ella when she was electrocuted and knocked into the water by Max.
* FatalFlaw: His obsession with upstaging Chris is what ultimately results in his downfall. Throughout the season, Topher flew under the radar quite a bit aside from the odd comment on him from one of his teammates, but ultimately, Topher for a while never had much of a chance to be voted off. That was until the eighth episode, where upon making another jab at Chris's age, Chris winds up upping the difficulty out of spite for Topher by having them escort babies, and from then on, Topher continues to be a hinderance to his team by waiting for a phone call that'll allow him to take Chris's place. When he does get said call (who is later revealed to be Chris himself messing with Topher), he ends up triggering an avalanche that costs his team the win and his spot in the competition.
* {{Foil}}: To Heather and Alejandro, both of whom have previously tried playing TeachersPet with Chris to earn special treatment. But they were only putting on an act around him and in reality couldn't stand him, whereas Topher was genuinely obsessed with Chris to the point of IJustWantToBeYou. Also to Owen and Beth who were nice to Chris because they're [[AllLovingHero all loving heroes]] and in doing so [[MoralityPet were able to gain some level of favor from him]] but [[EveryoneHasStandards even they had trouble dealing with him sometimes]]. Finally to Izzy, [[CloudCuckooLander who's too disconnected from reality to really have any malice towards anyone,]] Chris shows her some favoritism but only because she naturally amuses him.
* HiddenDepths: At first he seems like a sycophantic, peppy ditz who only entered the competition so that he could meet his idol. Then he manages to steal Chris' phone...
* ItsAllAboutMe: Like his idol, Topher is extremely egocentric.
* {{Keet}}: He gets excitable when he's around Chris. And much like Ella, Topher's enthusiasm annoys Chris to no end.
* TheLoad: He isn't good for anything other than looking pretty; this is especially the case in "Three Zones and a Baby" where his idiocy costs his team the win. Not that he cared.
* MeaningfulName: Chris + Topher = Christopher.
* MirrorCharacter:
** An excessively dedicated fan who obsesses over and annoys a sadistic host? Hmm, sounds a lot like Sierra. However, unlike Sierra, Topher wants to ''become'' Chris.
** He's also comparable to Justin from ''Island'' and ''Action'', who was also vain and obsessed with his appearance and doesn't try to contribute or help his team during challenges.
** He's also similar to Dakota from ''Revenge of the Island'', considering that he's an annoying AttentionWhore who entered the competition in order to get some camera time. Unlike Dakota, Topher was shown to be even more self-centered and vain who spent most of the season fawning and sucking up to Chris and barely made any friends during his time on ''Pahkitew Island'' and never returned back to the competition after being eliminated, unlike Dakota.
** To Blaineley, she was a TokenAdult DistaffCounterpart to Chris who he initially admired but she eventually began to drive him crazy by acting like his equal and not respecting his property until he ended up physically dragging her out the plane, she also claimed to have been the first person asked to host the show but turned it down. He was a teenage [[SmugSnake Chris]] [[BigBadWannabe Wannabe]] who initially impressed Chris with his TeachersPet routine but eventually started to drive him crazy with his {{Stealth Insult}}s and attempts to undermine him. He never had a chance of being host but kept scheming to replace Chris until he got tired of him and tricked him into thinking it was happening to humiliate him before ejecting him off the island.
** To Geoff after he TookALevelInJerkass in Action. Becoming the host of his own talk show gradually turned him into a teenage version of Chris and he began to alienate his girlfriend and all of his friends until eventually, they all called him on this and he TookALevelInKindness again. Topher however never formed any friendships while on the show and remained a junior Chris until he was kicked off.
* MrExposition: He tries to provide commentary for his actions as well for his team's actions, much to Chris' annoyance.
* {{Narcissist}}: Frequently talks about how awesome or good-looking he is. It's not as bad as his idol, though.
* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The in-between to Rodney's nice and Max's mean.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Topher is partially based on Creator/RyanSeacrest.
* OhCrap: [[spoiler:When Chris reveals that he was posing as one of the producers of ''Total Drama''. He’s so shocked that he can’t even speak correctly, even after Chris loads him into the cannon and fires him off.]]
* TheOneGuy: On Team Kinosewak after "This Is The Pits!" where he becomes the final male member.
* OutGambitted: By Chris, which leads to his elimination. As Chris puts it, a big lesson in show business is to "''never'' try to play a player".
* {{Pride}}: Much like his idol, Topher is very concerned with his appearance.
--> '''Topher:''' ''(after Chef blasts him with the canned pasta cannon)'' Ugh! Ow! [[NobodyTouchesTheHair Not the hair!]] ''(whines as he tries to get pasta out of his hair)''
* {{Sadist}}: Taking after Chris.
* SatelliteCharacter: Topher's sole storyline is a disconnected run of being an obsessive Chris Fanboy who wants to take over his job. Up until episode 7, he never even has a significant conversation with anyone other than Chris. It also seemed as if most of the other characters were unaware of his existence.
* SkewedPriorities: He is more concerned with replacing Chris as the host of ''Total Drama'' than he is helping his team. [[spoiler:This leads to his downfall as Chris had [[OutGambitted set him up]] to believe that he was going to take over as the host of ''Total Drama''.]]
* SmallNameBigEgo: He thinks he can replace Chris.
* SmugSnake: A non-villainous {{Jerkass}} example, his arrogance and ego prove to be his downfall.
* YoungerAndHipper: He refers to himself as "Chris 2.0". [[spoiler:He begins to act more like the sadistic host as the season progresses, eventually leading Chris to (correctly) believe that Topher is after his job.]]
