!!The Hyperforce

[[folder:General]]
!!Tropes applying to the whole team
* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: The monkeys had the same fur colors back when they were normal monkeys. Antauri's black, Nova's yellow, and Mandarin's orange aren't unusual, but then there's bright red (Sprx), blue (Gibson), and green (Otto).
* AnimalSuperheroes: Five of the team members are cyborg monkeys who protect the planet of Shuggazoom from the Skeleton King and various other villains.
* BadassAdorable: The team consists of a boy, his robot girlfriend and five cyborg monkeys. All of them are adorable and capable of kicking ass.
* BadassCrew: They're a team of superheroes who fight all manner of monsters and villains.
* ColorCodedCharacters:
** Chiro - Orange
** Antauri - Black, later silver after his resurrection.
** Sprx - Red
** Gibson - Blue
** Otto – Green
** Nova - Yellow
** Jinmay - Pink
* CombatPragmatist: The whole team shows shades of this at some point or another; many enemies, both major and minor, are defeated through exploiting the environment, either in Super Robot combat or the actions of a specific member or members.
* {{Cyborg}}: All of the monkeys are actually cyborgs. Starting from Season 3, however, Antauri is the exception, after his soul is transferred into the completely robotic Silver Monkey.
* FiveTemperamentEnsemble: The five monkeys have this:
** Antauri is Eclectic – Wise, calm and reliable mentor figure.
** Sprx is Phlegmatic – Laidback, sarcastic and flirtatious.
** Gibson is Melancholic – Intelligent, analytical and organized.
** Otto is Sanguine – Childlike, excitable and cheerful.
** Nova is Choleric – Feisty, hotheaded and aggressive.
* FunnyAnimal: The monkeys are cartoonish primates with mechanical bodies. All of them have their share of comedic moments, though Antauri usually avoids these.
* IBelieveICanFly: The entire team, sans Chiro, have innate flight powers.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: The monkeys are {{Cyborg}} AnimalSuperheroes, each with their own unique powers and weapons. Special mention goes to Antauri who also has PsychicPowers and later gets {{Intangibility}} after [[CameBackStrong becoming the Silver Monkey]].
* PintSizedPowerhouse: All of the monkeys are small and incredibly powerful.
* {{Sentai}}: They're a superhero team of ColorCodedCharacters who pilot a HumongousMecha.
* TrueCompanions: The team is tight-knit like a family. The members show a lot of protectiveness in battle and hang out as friends in their spare time.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: At first, Nova is the only female member of the team, but by the end of Season 4, [[AffirmativeActionGirl Jinmay]] has been established as the second girl in the team.
* UpliftedAnimal: All the robot monkeys were normal monkeys originally. Being turned into cyborgs by the Alchemist gave them human intelligence.
* WeaponSpecialization: Each of the robot monkeys has a special weapon of their own.
** Antauri - [[WolverineClaws Ghost Claws]]
** Sprx - [[MagnetismManipulation Magna-Fists]]
** Gibson - [[ThisIsADrill Cyber Vac Drills]]
** Otto - [[ChainsawGood Energy Saws]]
** Nova - [[PowerFist Robo-Fists]]

!!Chiro
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chiro.jpg]]
-> Voiced by: Creator/GregCipes (English); Creator/RicaMatsumoto (Japanese dub); Creator/RenePinochet (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 1-2), Emiliano Dionisi (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 3-4)

The protagonist of the series and leader of the Hyperforce.

He pilots the Torso Tank Driver 1, which forms the torso and limbs of the Super Robot. Chiro's powers come from the Power Primate, an entity inside of him.
-----
* AllLovingHero: Chiro is ready to defend anyone in trouble at all times and is willing to forgive and give second chances to people that turned to evil in the past such as the Sun Riders, Quint and Ah-Fei.
* AmbiguouslyOrphaned: His parents' whereabouts is unknown and they aren't mentioned. The Robot Monkeys, Antauri in particular, are the ones who take care of him. It's left unclear whether he is an orphan, an abandoned child, or a runaway.
* AmbiguouslyRelated: Skeleton King has some of Chiro's toys and clothes from when he was a kid, suggesting there's a relation between him and Chiro's past, but this is never explained or addressed again.
* AnimalBattleAura: Tapping into the Power Primate can generate an enormous green energy gorilla around him.
* {{Animorphism}}: He gets turned into a monkey in the Season Two finale, probably as a result of Antauri's soul hiding within his body.
* AscendedFanboy: Chiro was a {{Toku}}satsu-style superhero fanboy and he became the leader of a {{Sentai}} team of robot monkeys. Eventually, one of his allies are the Sun Riders, the superheroes from his favorite TV show.
* BattleCouple: {{Downplayed|Trope}} with his girlfriend Jinmay. She [[TookALevelInBadass trains her combat abilities and joins the Hyperforce as an honorary member]], but she doesn't team up as a duo with Chiro in battle.
* BetaCouple: With Jinmay. They start dating right from their first meeting and they're a very stable couple overall, while [[BelligerentSexualTension Sprx and Nova]] have known each other for years and they [[CannotSpitItOut still have yet to admit they're in love]] for the show's entire run. Funnily enough, this counts as an InvertedTrope because Chiro is the protagonist, but his romantic relationship with Jinmay got very little screentime and development compared to what Sprx and Nova got.
* BlushSticker: As a young child, he had constantly rosy cheeks.
* TheChosenOne: He at first thinks he found the Monkey Team by coincidence, but Antauri reveals he was destined to find them and become their leader, outright calling him "the chosen one". Exactly who or what chose him is never revealed though, Chiro himself wonders it sometimes.
* CombatPragmatist: As team leader, often makes calls involving using the environment against their foes, especially those which seem to be - or practically are - otherwise invincible.
* CradleOfLoneliness: In the Season Two finale, Chiro is seen holding Antauri's helmet this way after the latter's HeroicSacrifice.
* DistractedByTheSexy: In the aptly named episode "Girl Trouble", he completely ignores his duties to the team and runs off with the two girls he had just "saved" from a monster.
* TheDulcineaEffect: He defends Jinmay from BT and Glenny right after first seeing her.
* ElementalPunch: He has an affinity for electric attacks such as his Thunder Punch and Lightning Kick.
* FacialMarkings: He gets two orange stripes under each of his eyes in his hypermode.
* FreeRangeChildren: He found the Super Robot and the robot monkey team when he was exploring the outskirts of Shuggazoom City by himself. After he became their leader, no adult ever seems concerned about the young boy becoming a superhero and putting himself in life-or-death situations constantly.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: After Glenny got caught by the zombie-turned Hyperforce in "Shadow Over Shuggazoom" and BT panics they won't survive, clinging to Chiro's leg.
--> '''BT''': I love you, Chiro.
--> '''Chiro''': Pull yourself together, man! Get off my leg.
* GoodWearsWhite: His superhero costume is mainly white.
* HenshinHero: He can transform his clothes into his battle uniform at will.
* HeroesFightBarehanded: He's the only one in the team who doesn't use any weapons, relying on energy attacks and hand-to-hand combat instead.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: In the first episode, he reminds Jinmay of the fun times they shared together, snapping her out of her rampage when she's being controlled by Sakko in her HumongousMecha mode.
* InnocentBlueEyes: His bright blue eyes highlight his youth, innocence and purity.
* ItsAllJunk: After he becomes disappointed at finding out the Sun Riders worked for the Skeleton King, Chiro gets so mad that he immediately starts smashing his Sun Riders merchandise.
* JumpedAtTheCall: From what's seen in the intro, Chiro immediately accepted to become the Hyperforce's leader after awakening them from their sleep.
* KamehameHadoken: Monkey Fu, where he channels a blast of energy.
* KiManipulation: Many, if not all, of his attacks are empowered by the Power Primate.
* KidHero: He's a teenager, and the main counter against Skeleton King and his forces.
* TheLeader: He leads the Hyperforce.
* LoveAtFirstSight: He's immediately smitten with Jinmay in the pilot episode.
* MeaningfulName: Per WordOfGod, Chiro comes from "Ichiro" meaning "first son" in Japanese. Additionally, Chiro in name and spelling is very similar to that of "chi-rho", a monogram of "chi" (Χ) and "rho" (Ρ) as the first two letters of Greek Khristos as in Christ.
* MysteriousPast: We never learn what Chiro's life was like before he found the robot monkeys, or who he lived with before that point. His parents or any kind of guardian are never mentioned. The only hint we get is in the episode titled "Skeleton King"; for reasons unknown, the Skeleton King has a room containing a lot of items formerly belonging to Chiro, such as stuffed toys and a school uniform from Chiro's boyhood. Chiro is both creeped out and quite tight-lipped, being very uncomfortable about talking about it outside of confirming it was his stuff from a long time ago.
* OfficialCouple: With Jinmay. They start dating in the first episode, although she spends most of the time away from him.
* RedeemingReplacement: To Mandarin. Chiro was chosen as the new leader of the Hyperforce after Mandarin turned evil. His teammates trust he has the heroic spirit that'll keep him from taking the dark path that Mandarin took.
* {{Robosexual}}: He started dating Jinmay when he and she thought she was human. Then they found out she's a RobotGirl and keep being a couple.
* RookieRedRanger: Although he's TheLeader of the Hyperforce, he's actually the newest addition to the team at the start. His subordinates are veterans and he is not.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: An orange scraf is part of his suit's design when he changes to Hypermode.
* ShockAndAwe: Chiro's attacks often are affiliated with electricity. He has them physically with his Thunder Punch and Lightning Kick while his Chiro Spearo has him throw a bolt of lightning.
* SmugSuper: He can get really cocky about his superhero abilities at times.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: He's the only one able to understand the Robot Monkeys before the Monkey Translator is built.
* SuperScream: The Monkey Mind Scream technique is a variation of such since it's not just the soundwaves, but the mystic energies empowering it. Chiro himself does not use the technique often, having only used it twice in the series, both of which were in heightened states of power.
* TankGoodness: Chiro pilots Torso Tank 1 which forms the Super Robot's torso.
* TokenHuman: Chiro is the only human member of the Hyperforce who isn't a cyborg or robot.
* TransformationSequence: Goes through one OncePerEpisode when he changes into his super suit.
* UnderstandingBoyfriend: Finding out Jinmay was a robot didn't whet his feelings for her at all.
* WhoYouGonnaCall: "Concerned Citizens" type for beating down monsters.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: "Depths of Fear" reveals he (and Sprx) are incredibly unsettled by large bodies of water, though Chiro even more so, since he couldn’t swim. "Circus of Ooze" also reveals Chiro is pretty uncomfortable around clowns.
* YoungAndInCharge: He's the leader to the Hyperforce, but also the youngest member, being just a teenager. The robot monkeys are adults and have lived for many decades.

[[caption-width-right:350:[[labelnote:Click here to see him as the silver monkey.]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/antauri_as_sliver.png]][[/labelnote]]
-> Voiced by: Creator/KevinMichaelRichardson (English); Hidetoshi Nakamura (Japanese dub); Javier Rodríguez (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 1-2), René Sagastume (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 3-4)

The black monkey in the seasons one and two, later the silver monkey in seasons three and four, and second-in-command. Antauri is very calm and collected and cares much for his friends. He often acts as a leader, and is serious about training. He teaches Chiro how to control the Power Primate, and also gives spiritual advice to the rest of the Team.

He pilots Brain Scrambler Pilot 2, which forms the head of the Super Robot. His main weapon is his Ghost Claws and Monkey Mind Scream.
----
* BackFromTheDead: In the Season Two finale, he sacrifices his life to prevent the Dark One Worm from destroying Shuggazoom. At the beginning of Season Three, it's revealed that his soul was just hidden within Chiro's body until Chiro could find a way to bring him back; Antauri eventually returns by transferring his soul to the body of the Silver Monkey.
* BlessedWithSuck: Though very powerful, his fully robotic Silver Monkey body makes him susceptible to mechanical issues that can render him immobile or cause him to lose control of his body.
* BodyBackupDrive: After Antauri loses his body in the Season Two finale, Chiro builds a fully robotic body for him and transfers Antauri's soul into it with the Power Primate.
* CameBackStrong: After his resurrection as the silver monkey, he is much stronger than before.
* ComboPlatterPowers: In addition to his Ghost Claws, Antauri has telekinesis, a sonic scream and psychic senses. After becoming the Silver Monkey, he gains the power to turn intangible. During the fight with the Skeleton King Worm in the season three finale, he displays the ability to create a LaserBlade.
* TheComicallySerious: He almost always has the same deadpan serious expression on his face, even in comical scenes, such as when Thingy slobbered all over his face and his expression doesn't change.
* TheConfidant: Chiro actively seeks out Antauri's advice and confides in him about his worries.
* CoolPlane: Antauri pilots Brain Scrambler 2 which serves as the Super Robot's head.
* DeathGlare: He can give some pretty stern glares.
* DefrostingIceKing: Antauri remains quite distant to Chiro and doesn't morally support him in the first season. While he most often reassures the others to trust in their leader, he shows moments of doubts, like in the episode "Secret of the Sixth Monkey". He grows closer to Chiro in the second season, and they develop a close parent-child relationship from then on.
* HeroicSacrifice: In the Season Two finale, he throws himself in the Pit of Doom in order to stop the Dark One Worm's birth. It borders in SenselessSacrifice since he didn't stop the Dark One Worm and [[NiceJobBreakingItHero allowing it to run away to space caused the destruction of thousands of planets.]] He only stopped it from ''completely'' destroying Shuggazoom. In his defense, he didn't know that the thing could [[HealingFactor regenerate its body from its head.]]
* {{Intangibility}}: He gains the ability to pass through walls as the silver monkey.
* TheLancer: He's the official [[NumberTwo second-in-command]] in the Hyperforce and generally much more serious than Chiro.
* LevitatingLotusPosition: His zen pose when he's meditating.
* LivingGhost: Antauri has {{telekinesis}} and levitation. After being resurrected as the silver monkey, he displays more ghost-like powers, primarily {{intangibility}}.
* MeditationPowerUp: He gets a significant boost for himself and the Power Primate.
* MentorMascot: He is Chiro's wise monkey mentor who teaches him about the Power Primate and guides him in his path as the TheChosenOne.
* MentorOccupationalHazard: {{Subverted|Trope}}. When he dies in the second season, Chiro is clearly affected by losing his mentor and father figure. Fortunately, Antauri is back by the start of the third season.
* MundaneObjectAmazement: In "Big Lug", he's marvelled to discover a soda-drinking hat.
* MundaneUtility: He uses his PsychicPowers to short circuit Chiro's gaming systems whenever Chiro is slacking off. More humorously enough, he uses the Ghost Claws to ''cheat at pinball.''
* NobleMaleRoguishMale: The noble to Sprx's roguish. Antauri is a wise and solemn WarriorMonk, in contrast to Sprx being a brash and cocky ChivalrousPervert.
* NotSoAboveItAll: He's the wise and mature member of the team, but he has his share of quirky moments, even if these are rare. The best example is when he joins his teammates' antics in "Big Lug".
* NumberTwo: The second-in-command of the Hyperforce.
* OldCopYoungCop: He seems to have elements of the dynamic with Sprx, the latter being the young cop to his old. Heck, as noted below, when "Evil Ages" has them in a Wild West-era of Shuggazoom, Antauri is in the role of Sheriff with Sprx as his deputy.
* PapaWolf: As part of his TeamDad role, he acts protective when it comes to the whole Hyperforce, especially Chiro.
* ProverbialWisdom: He likes to speak in proverbs and metaphors when sharing his wisdom.
* PsychicPowers: Levitation, {{telekinesis}}, ghost paws, etc.
* TheSheriff: He ends up as a sheriff with Sprx becoming his deputy when transported to a Wild West era of Shuggazoom in "Evil Ages."
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: He's seen playing holographic chess with Gibson in their spare time. Goes in line with them being the two intellectual monkeys of the team.
* SpiderLimbs: He can grow spider-like metallic legs as the silver monkey.
* StellarName: His name is derived from the star system Alpha Centauri.
* TheStoic: His facial expression rarely changes.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: He's stoic, cool-headed and reserved. He's also a good and caring friend and father figure.
* SuperScream: His special move Monkey Mind Scream releases sound waves from his mouth.
* SweetTooth: He really likes cotton candy.
* TeamDad: As the wisest of the team, his teammates usually come to him for advice and look up to him. He is also quite strict, being the one who gets the others to stop playing video games to patrol the city.
* VirtuousVegetarianism: Antauri is the most spiritual, enlightened and wisest of the team, and a vegetarian.
* WarriorMonk: He teaches Chiro how to control the Power Primate, and also gives spiritual advice to the rest of the Team.
* WolverineClaws: His robotic hands turn into giant claws made of energy.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Sprx]]
!!SPRX-77
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sprx.jpg]]
-> Voiced by: Creator/CoreyFeldman (English); Koji Ochiai (Japanese dub); Jorge Lillo (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 1-2), Adrián Wowczuk (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 3-4)

The red monkey, and the team's best pilot. He is a comedian and has a big ego, but is very brave, smart and willing to protect his comrades.

He pilots Fist Rocket 3, which becomes the right hand of the Super Robot. His main weapon is his Magnetic Hands.
-----
* AcePilot: He's the team's best pilot.
* AmazonChaser: His main love interest is Nova, the [[PintSizedPowerhouse super strong]] CuteBruiser of the team.
* AndIMustScream: According to one of the writers, Sprx was conscious of [[spoiler: what was happening while under the influence of the Fire of Hate. That means he was self-aware the entire time in which he attacked his teammates and seriously injured Nova when he took her hostage, yet he was unable to stop his own actions.]]
* BaitAndSwitchSentiment: In the Season 3 finale, Sprx tells Nova that he's glad to have her, making Nova very happy. Then he adds "as (his) [[JustFriends friend]]". Nova accepts his "friendly" hug, but the hearts coming out of Sprx's head prove his feelings for Nova aren't just friendship.
* BattleCouple: With Nova. He's an AcePilot and a skilled marksman with magnetic attacks, while she's a tough PintSizedPowerhouse with {{Power Fist}}s. They usually team up in battle and protect each other.
* BelligerentSexualTension: With Nova. They tease each other and get into fights all the time, but it's not hard to realize they have strong romantic feelings for each other. They're just very bad at admitting how they really feel about each other.
* BerserkButton: He gets mad whenever someone calls him "Sparky".
* BewareTheSillyOnes: He is usually pretty easy-going, but mess with his friends, and his personality can take a rather scary turn.
* BigBrotherInstinct: While all the Monkeys are protective of Chiro, Sprx in particular will react like a furious older brother if you lay hands on the kid.
* BigBrotherMentor: Towards Chiro in the beginning. He advises him and supports him while he acts like a cool older brother figure. Interestingly, this role wanes with Antauri's growing relationship to Chiro.
* TheBigGuy: He has the largest personality and firepower out of the team.
* BrainsVersusBrawn: The Brawn to Gibson's Brains. Sprx acts on impulse and trusts his gut before his brain, while Gibson is a purely logical scientist. Their different ideologies clash often.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In the Season Four finale, he is turned evil by the Fire of Hate, and goes on to help Valeena and Mandarin in their quest to resurrect the Skeleton King. [[spoiler:He goes back to normal after [[ThePowerOfLove Nova tells him she loves him]] and his friends use the Power Primate to release him from the Fire of Hate's control.]]
* BrilliantButLazy: Sprx is an excellent pilot and marksman, and is really good at adapting and thinking on his feet. But he'd much rather goof off and do fancy aerial maneuvers than actually carry out his duties.
* ButtMonkey: He's picked on a lot, particularly in later seasons, becoming a frequent target of slapstick (usually from [[{{Tsundere}} Nova]]).
* CannotSpitItOut: He can't bring himself to admit his feelings for Nova. He comes fairly close to confessing a couple of times, [[FalseStart only for]] [[InterruptedDeclarationOfLove something to interrupt]] or [[AbortedDeclarationOfLove chicken out at the last second.]]
* CharacterTics: Early on, he's seen polishing his magnets frequently. This quirk is abandoned as the series goes on.
* TheCharmer: In "Worlds of Giants", while voicing the Super Robot, Sprx manages to pull off the act of a chivalrous and smooth-talking gentleman to woo over Princess Swoggle.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: With Nova. They have known each other for a very long time and obviously like each other as more than friends, even though they don't admit it [[spoiler:until Nova does at the end]]. A flashback shows them in their youth as normal monkeys, with their interactions being pretty much identical to how they are in the present.
* ChivalrousPervert: He loves beautiful women, but he's still heroic. He also flirts with Nova heavily, yet it's obvious he genuinely loves her and cares about her well-being.
* ConspiracyTheorist:
--> '''Sprx:''' You know what these strange beacons always turn out to be? {{Death trap}}s! Always some death trap...
--> '''Nova:''' [[LampshadeHanging Here we go with Sprx's conspiracy theories again.]]
* CoolBigBro: Just as Antauri acts as Chiro's father figure, Sprx takes the role of the cool and supportive older brother surrogate for the kid.
* CoolPlane: Sprx pilots Fist Rocket 3 which forms the Super Robot's right hand.
* CrazyJealousGuy: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. He's quick to get jealous when Nova develops a crush on Tikqudo, one of the [[CatFolk Cathurians]], but limits himself to looking annoyed and making sniping remarks.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: He's a goofy comedian, but don't underestimate the power of his magnets.
* DeadpanSnarker: He certainly likes making witty observations.
* ElementalBarrier: He can generate a magnetic shield.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Nova and Gibson have called him "Sparky" on occasion, because they know he hates it.
* EmotionallyTongueTied: He tends to express himself through sarcastic and cocky statements, but whenever he tries to say something ''actually'' emotional, he's lost for words. Just trying to tell Nova about his feelings for her leaves him stammering and sweating uncontrollably.
* EnergyRingAttack: Sprx's "Electro-Vibra Force" is a beam of red rings that stuns the opponent.
* EvilSoundsRaspy: His voice sounds notably raspier in his BrainwashedAndCrazy state.
* FangsAreEvil: When he is BrainwashedAndCrazy, he gets a mouth full of fangs.
* TheGadfly: He loves to needle Nova and Gibson to the point of anger.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: Thoroughly inverted between Sprx and Nova, as he's the most ranged-specialized of the monkeys, while she's a near pure brawler.
* HandicappedBadass: In "Night of Fear", he shows that becoming blind doesn't affect his badassery at all, as he and Nova take down a berserk Antauri.
* HellishPupils: His pupils turn into vertical slits in his BrainwashedAndCrazy state.
* HeroicFatigue: By the time of the Season Four finale, Sprx expresses a great deal of stress and weak will as the team tries to stop Valeena and Mandarin from resurrecting Skeleton King, since as he says so himself, despite all the team's efforts and sacrifices, Skeleton King is ''[[AllForNothing still]]'' [[AllForNothing a threat]].
* HostageForMacGuffin: While he is BrainwashedAndCrazy, he takes Nova as hostage and tortures her with his magnets in order to force his teammates to give him the Skeleton King's skull if they don't want him to kill Nova. [[spoiler:Nova's love confession snaps him out of his corrupted state before he can take the skull, but Valeena ends up taking it anyway.]]
* HotBlooded: He's strong-headed and brash. As he himself says, he always relies on his instinct.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: His weapons are two giant magnets.
* IndyPloy: "Worlds of Giants" is about Sprx basically pulling a con to find an energy source for the Super Robot and he keeps winging it throughout the episode. Although he almost gets the Super Robot executed, he ends up winning over the king and princess of the planet and beating an evil wizard.
* InnocentBigot: In "A Ghost in the Machinder", he's quick to dismiss the idea of the Super Robot being able to think for itself, saying "Machines ''cannot'' have a ''soul''." He says this to Antauri, who is now a soul inhabiting a fully robotic body due to recently being brought BackFromTheDead.
* IntimateArtistry: In "Incident on Ranger 7", Sprx makes a Nova HandPuppet out of an old paper bag. He uses it to make fun of her, but it's still kinda sweet he used his crush as his model for an art project.
* ItsAllMyFault: He blames himself for [[spoiler: letting Nova get sucked into a wormhole]]. Later, he believes [[spoiler:the Skeleton King's resurrection]] is his fault [[spoiler:because he helped Valeena and Mandarin when he was corrupted by the Fire of Hate]].
* IWillFindYou: In the Season Three finale, [[spoiler: he lets Nova get sucked into a wormhole and is determined to go look for her for most of the finale. She comes back after he asks The Being to bring her back.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's cocky, sarcastic and brash, but he's still a good guy who cares a lot about his teammates, [[BigBrotherInstinct especially surrogate little brother Chiro]].
* KnightInSourArmor: Outside of situational factors, he is usually the quickest on the Monkey Team to suggest a [[ShootTheDog dog be shot]], [[CuttingTheKnot knot be cut]], [[TheParanoiac seeming ally is untrustworthy]], or [[DeterminedDefeatist situation is unsalvageable]]. He's also happy to light-heartedly play the blame game or otherwise dump on his teammates in casual situations. He's still usually just as heroic as the others.
* LeaderWannabe: He argued with Gibson who holds the position of third-in-command. Both are displeased when Antauri gives the position to Nova.
* LongRangeFighter: He's the only monkey whose main weapons aren't used for close quarters.
* LovableSexManiac: He [[PervertedDrooling drools]] at the sight of sexy women. He's also a good friend to the team and despite her annoyance at his perversions, Nova still loves him.
* MagneticWeapons: His weapons are a pair of giant magnets that function like electromagnetic guns.
* MarsNeedsWomen: He really likes human women, but he prefers monkeys (namely Nova) deep down.
* MaybeEverAfter: In the Season Four finale, [[spoiler:Nova finally confesses her feelings for Sprx and kisses him on the cheek, but it's left up in the air whether they actually become a couple since the Skeleton King's return kept Sprx from even thinking about giving Nova a proper answer at the moment. At least, there's no doubt they're now both aware their romantic feelings are mutual.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: After he's purified from the Fire of Hate and comes back to his senses, Sprx feels awful about [[spoiler:having turned against the Hyperforce and helped Valeena and Mandarin bring the Skeleton King back to life]].
* NobleMaleRoguishMale: The roguish to Gibson and Antauri's noble.
** Sprx is a brash and cocky ChivalrousPervert, in contrast to Antauri being a wise and solemn WarriorMonk.
** Sprx is the impulsive and boorish pilot, while Gibson is the sophisticated and academic scientist.
* NoListeningSkills: Sprx often gets stubborn and doesn't listen to his teammates' warnings, which usually costs him and his teammates dearly. The worst case is the Season 4 finale; Gibson is almost corrupted by the Ice Crystal of Vengeance containing the Skeleton King's essence, but Sprx doesn't listen when Gibson warns him to not carelessly touch the Fire of Hate, resulting in Sprx becoming corrupted and turning against his teammates.
* OddNameNormalNickname: His full name is SPRX-77, but people call him Sprx for short.
* OddNameOut: All the other robot monkeys have names that could be given to humans, but SPRX-77 stands out as the only one with a name that sounds like a robot model.
* OldCopYoungCop: While subtle, he has this relationship with Antauri, being the young cop to Antauri's old cop. The relationship is framed as such when they're tossed in time, with Sprx becoming the deputy to Antauri's sheriff.
* PostKissCatatonia: Nova gives him a kiss on the cheek when [[spoiler:he is released from the Fire of Hate's control]]. Sprx needs a full second to process what's going on, then [[WingdingEyes his eyes turn into hearts]] and he completely forgets about his surroundings until [[spoiler:Valeena grabs the Skeleton King's skull]].
* PungeonMaster: He likes cracking puns.
* RedHotMasculinity: Sprx is the Red Monkey and the most stereotypically masculine of the male monkeys, being cocky, arrogant, stubborn, boorish and flirtatious.
* RedOniBlueOni: Red Oni to Gibson's Blue Oni. Besides being the red and blue monkey of the team respectively, Sprx is headstrong and emotional, as opposed to the intellectual and logical Gibson.
* RoboRomance: With Nova. They are both robot monkeys and it's made obvious that they love each other very much.
* RobotNames: A robot monkey named SPRX-77.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: GenderInverted. Sprx is the cheeky, playful comedian to the more down-to-earth, no-nonsense Nova.
* SelectiveMagnetism: He can use his magnets to attract anything he wants, whenever he wants.
* ShockAndAwe: He uses electrical attacks.
* TemporarilyAVillain: In the Season 4 finale, Sprx gets corrupted by the [[ArtifactOfDoom Fire of Hate]], forcing him to turn against the Hyperforce and help Valeena and Mandarin bring back the Skeleton King.
* TemporaryBlindness: In "Night of Fear", Sprx becomes blind after Mandarin puts him a curse on him. He recovers his eyesight at the end of the episode.
* TookALevelInCynic: Sprx has his idealism and morale significantly worn down as a result of the Hyperforce failing to get rid of the Skeleton King for good again and again, despite all their efforts and sacrifices. By the time of the Season 4 finale, most of the team is still optimistic as they try to stop Valeena and Mandarin from resurrecting the Skeleton King, but Sprx has all but given up on there being any hope of stopping the Skeleton King's evil. He becomes even more disheartened after [[spoiler:Skeleton King does return and Sprx has himself to partly blame since his corrupted self had a hand in the villain's resurrection]].
* TooMuchAlike: He tends to buttheads with Gibson because both of them are equally prideful, stubborn, and want to be in charge.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Gibson. They often clash and argue because of their stark differences, but they're still friends and teammates who got each other's back.
* WhatTheHellHero: In "Object of Hate", he calls Gibson out for not taking the Ice Crystal of Vengeance and blames him for letting Valeena and Mandarin get away. [[{{Irony}} Ironically]], Sprx ends up being turned evil by the Fire of Hate and joining Valeena and Mandarin.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Like Chiro, he's afraid of water in "Depths of Fear". He's able to overcome it faster than Chiro and goes underwater when their teammates are in trouble.
* YankTheDogsChain: He has it rough, especially in later seasons where there's rarely an episode without Sprx becoming the ButtMonkey or suffering in a more dramatic manner, like losing Nova in a wormhole and getting corrupted by an ArtifactOfDoom. In the Season 4 finale, he gets a moment of bliss with Nova [[spoiler:when she finally admits she loves him and kisses him on the cheek]], but it's short-lived because [[spoiler:the Skeleton King resurrects immediately after Nova's confession and Sprx blames himself for the start of a new war]].

!!Mr. Hal Gibson
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gibson_9.jpg]]
-> Voiced by: Creator/TomKenny (English); Mitsuaki Hoshino (Japanese dub); Pablo Ausensi (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 1-2); Hernán Bravo (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 3-4)

The blue monkey, and the team's science officer. His full name is Mr. Hal Gibson, but he prefers to be called Gibson. He is very proper, and [[SmartPeopleSpeakTheQueensEnglish speaks with a touch of a British accent]]. He prides himself on his high IQ, and becomes easily frustrated when faced with beings of lesser intelligence.

He pilots Fist Rocket 4, which becomes the left hand of the Super Robot. His main weapons are his Cyber Vac Drills.
-----
* AgentScully: He refuses to believe in magic or anything supernatural, and always searches for a logical explanation for everything.
* AliensOfLondon: Gibson has a British accent in spite of being a native of the planet Shuggazoom like Chiro and the other robot monkeys (all who lack said accent).
* BadassBookworm: He's a scientist whose body is a robotic weapon.
* BlueMeansSmartOne: Gibson is the blue robot monkey and the Hyperforce's science officer.
* BrainsVersusBrawn: The Brains to Sprx's Brawn. Gibson is a purely logical scientist, while Sprx acts on impulse and trusts his gut before his brain. Their different ideologies clash often.
* CannotTellAJoke: His rare attempts at jokes usually fall flat, mainly because his friends find it hard to believe Gibson can even ''try'' to be funny.
* CombatPragmatist: Subtle, but outside of Super Robot combat he's the team member most likely to resort to environmental attacks rather than named weapon attacks, to the point that in "Pit of Doom" he's the ''only'' member of the team to ''never'' use a named attack for the whole episode, while first flagrantly tripping a [[{{Mooks}} Formless Minion]] off a roof (complete with [[BondOneLiner one-liner]]), then equally blatantly luring several more into [[DeadlyDodging shooting each other]].
* TheComicallySerious: A good part of his comical scenes center around him taking matters way more seriously and logically than he needs to.
* CoolPlane: Gibson pilots Fist Rocket 4 which forms the Super Robot's left hand.
* DefrostingIceKing: Due to the high standards and his arrogance, his in-series relationship with Otto starts off rocky, often being annoyed by the mechanic's quirks and questioning his intelligence. Gibson not only mellows over the series, but he comes to appreciate and care for Otto fiercely.
* DoNotCallMePaul: Gibson doesn't like his first name and prefers to go by his last name.
* EnergyRingAttack: Gibson can fire light blue laser beams surrounded by white rings from his drills.
* EnragedByIdiocy: He sometimes gets worked up over incompetence.
* EvilMakesYouMonstrous: He takes a very hideously monstrous form when he is infected by Skeleton King's virus in "Thingy".
* HyperCompetentSidekick: He proves himself to be the more competent one when teamed Chiro, as drills are a very useful tool in many ways, especially in the Season 1 Finale and even his TalkativeLoon episode "Night of Fear".
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: He takes great pride in being the smartest of the team, so he can't stand it when someone else threatens to take that privilege from him. When the Wigglenog makes Otto into the smartest monkey in the universe, Gibson [[OcularGushers cries rivers]] and passes out because, as Nova points out, he feels pretty much useless if he isn't the smartest monkey.
* InsufferableGenius: He is a tad arrogant, and hates to admit whenever he is wrong.
* IntelligenceEqualsIsolation: He has a hard time finding someone who shares his level of intelligence and love for science, which makes him somewhat distant to others.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's arrogant, impatient and condescending, but still a good guy who will do anything for his friends.
* LastNameBasis: By his own request, everyone just calls him Gibson.
* LeaderWannabe: He argued with Sprx who holds the position of third-in-command. Both are displeased when Antauri gives the position to Nova.
* TheMedic: Gibson handles most doctoral responsibilities.
* MundaneUtility: He uses his drills as a vacuum cleaner. He also uses them to shot a water beam back at Otto's face and cheat on a SnowballFight.
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: Per WordOfGod, he is named after Creator/WilliamGibson.
* NobleMaleRoguishMale: The noble to Sprx's roguish. Gibson is the sophisticated and academic scientist, while Sprx is the impulsive and boorish pilot.
* NoRespectGuy: He gets no respect for designing the mechanics of the Power Primate.
* NotSoAboveItAll: When he gets pulled into Sprx and/or Otto's shenanigans, he admonishes them for being childish before retaliating, often over the top (like the time where Otto splashed him and Nova and after mocking them, Gibson shot a water beam with his ''drills'' back at his face). He also got distracted whenever he and Sprx continued their argument over who holds the position of third in command.
* OddFriendship: With Otto. Gibson is a smartass scientist and Otto is a silly mechanic. Despite their differences, they're as close as brothers.
* RedOniBlueOni: The Blue Oni to Sprx's Red Oni. Besides being the blue and red monkey of the team respectively, Gibson is intellectual and logical, as opposed to the headstrong and emotional Sprx.
* ScienceFoils: With Otto. Gibson is the team's science officer and an arrogant InsufferableGenius, while Otto is the mechanic and a goofy GeniusDitz.
* ScienceHero: The main science person of the heroes.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: He tends to show off his vocabulary by using complicated and scientific words.
* TheSmartGuy: He's the genius scientist of the team.
* SmartPeoplePlayChess: He's seen playing holographic chess with Antauri in their spare time. Goes in line with them being the two intellectual monkeys of the team.
* SmartPeopleSpeakTheQueensEnglish: He is the only one among the team with a British accent. This has no purpose or explanation other than making him sound smarter.
* TalkativeLoon: In "Night of Fear", after losing his intelligence, Gibson becomes a buffoon that babbles nonsense.
* TemporarilyAVillain: In "Thingy", he gets infected by a virus created by Skeleton King, causing him to turn evil and monstrous.
* ThisIsADrill: The weapons his hands transform into are two drills. Unlike many other examples, he can use them for more than drill attacks; he can shoot energy from the tips, or suck in material like water or snow and shoot it as ammo. It would be more accurate to call his weapons guns that look like drills.
* TooMuchAlike: He tends to buttheads with Sprx because both of them are equally prideful, stubborn, and want to be in charge.
* UnexplainedAccent: Creator/TomKenny does a British accent for Gibson, even though every other character from Shuggazoom ''and'' the aliens sound American.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Sprx. They often clash and argue because of their stark differences, but they're still friends and teammates who got each other's back.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Gibson absolutely despises insects.

-> Voiced by: Creator/ClancyBrown (English); Masuo Amada (Japanese dub); Patricio Gutiérrez (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 1-2), Gustavo Dardés (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 3-4)

The green monkey, and the team's mechanic. Although his talent with machines is unmatched, he is clueless in almost everything else.

He pilots Foot Crusher Cruiser 5, which becomes the left foot of the Super Robot. His main weapon is his Energy Saws.
-----
* AbsurdPhobia: His worst fear is clams with feet. When these appear in "Night of Fear", Otto becomes paralyzed in terror, while Chiro is just baffled at the ridiculousness of it all. Out of the team, Otto's fear is the most nonsensical and inexplicable.
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: He gets distracted ''really'' easily.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, but mess with him or his friends and he will show you his dangerous saws.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: He comes across as a clown sometimes, but some clowns [[ChainsawGood are very handy with chainsaws]].
* BigEater: He sure likes to eat.
* BladeOnARope: His "Whirling Destructo Saws" move launches his [[ChainsawGood Energy Saws]] while they are attached to chains extending from his arms.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Despite his oddities and quirks, his genius in mechanics is astounding. He also owns a good level of perception and often moves proactively.
* ChainsawGood: His main weapons are his Energy Saws. Even in the ''Hidden Fortress'' where he installed his own saws in the security system.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: An oddball to be sure but a well-grounded one whenever the situation requires it.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: The silliest and goofiest member of the team, but just as strong in battle as everyone else.
* TheEngineer: As the mechanic of the team, he's in charge of equipment management and reparations.
* ExtremeOmnivore: He once happily slurped down a bowl of [[NauseaFuel live grubs]] without indigestion, while his teammates were too disgusted to even taste it.
* FakeDefector: In "Meet the Wigglenog", he pretends to betray the team and join the Wigglenog to trick the genie into letting him wish to have never met him.
* GadgeteerGenius: He's a mechanical genius with an impressive number of inventions under his belt.
* GeniusDitz: Otto is a GadgeteerGenius like no other. He's just quite a goofball.
* {{Keet}}: He's very cheerful, playful and optimistic.
* KidAppealCharacter: He's the most childlike of the Hyperforce. Most of his scenes are clearly aimed to the little kids in the audience.
* MarsNeedsWomen: Like Sprx, he likes human women.
* MrFixit: If there's something broken, let Otto fix it and he will leave it brand new.
* MyBrainIsBig: In "Meet the Wigglenog", after Gibson accidentally makes him super smart, Otto's brain gets so big it's several times the size of his body.
* NiceGuy: He's the nicest and friendliest member of the Hyperforce.
* OddFriendship: With Gibson. Otto is a silly mechanic and Gibson is a smartass scientist. Despite their differences, they're as close as brothers.
* OnlySaneMan: In "The Savage Lands", he and Nova kept their focus on the mission when Sprx and Gibson lost themselves in their argument.
* ThePollyanna: No matter what horrific situation he finds himself in, Otto always manages to keep his lighthearted attitude at the end of the day. Literally nothing can keep his spirits down for long.
* PunnyName: His name is pronounced "Auh-toh", sounding like a scientific experiment.
* SarcasmBlind: He's so naïve that he can't tell when someone like [[DeadpanSnarker Sprx]] is being sarcastic.
-->'''Otto:''' ''(as they're watching Jinmay's transmission)'' Woah... she needs us, on Shuggazoom!
-->'''Sprx:''' Brilliant deduction CaptainObvious! You win the Golden Star!
-->'''Otto:''' Thanks!
* ScienceFoils: With Gibson. Otto is the team's mechanic and a goofy GeniusDitz, while Gibson is the science officer and an arrogant InsufferableGenius.
* SillySimian: All the robot monkeys count to a degree, but Otto is definitely the silliest and funniest monkey.

[[folder:Nova]]
!!Nova
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nova_13.jpg]]
-> Voiced by: Creator/KariWahlgren (English); Creator/YokoHonna (Japanese dub); Creator/JessicaToledo (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 1-2), Valeria Gómez (Latin Spanish dub, Seasons 3-4)

The yellow monkey, and the only female in the team. Tomboyish and feisty, she's the team's main fighter with a short temper.

She pilots Foot Crusher Cruiser 6, which forms the right foot of the Super Robot. Her main weapon is her Robotic Fists.
-----
* AfraidOfTheirOwnStrength: She tries to control her temper and fire powers because she is afraid that if they go out of control she could hurt those she cares about.
* AngstNuke: Her body overheats when she gets angry, and she can become this if she can't get her temper under control. The first time this happened, she became so hot that she caused an explosion that destroyed much of the training room and sent Mandarin flying back into a wall.
* AnguishedDeclarationOfLove: In the Season Four finale, [[spoiler:she breaks down in tears as she begs Sprx to fight the influence of the Fire of Hate and return to normal because she loves him too much to lose him.]]
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: After [[spoiler: Sprx asks The Being to bring her back after she gets sucked into a wormhole]], Nova returns as a giant-sized version of herself [[BigDamnHeroes just in time to save Chiro from Mandarin]]. She returns to her normal size after getting attacked by Skeleton King Droid.
* BattleCouple: With Sprx. She's a tough PintSizedPowerhouse with {{Power Fist}}s, while he's an AcePilot and a skilled marksman with magnetic attacks. They usually team up in battle and protect each other.
* BelligerentSexualTension: With Sprx. They love each other, but Nova is very annoyed by Sprx's cocky attitude and teasing, and she hits him often. They don't have the guts to admit their true feelings [[spoiler:until Nova does in the Season 4 finale]].
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Nova is usually very nice and caring, but she still launches {{Power Fist}}s when provoked.
* TheBigGirl: She's toughest and physically strongest fighter in the team.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: She might be the team's tough main fighter, but she's really caring towards her friends and has a huge soft spot for cute things.
* BurningWithAnger: Her outbursts often include fire-related imagery, even when she isn't PlayingWithFire or threatening to become an AngstNuke.
* CantLiveWithThemCantLiveWithoutThem: Whenever she's around Sprx, she gets annoyed with him for his cockiness and playful flirting. In "Soul of Evil", Sprx temporarily leaves the team after the Fire of Hate corrupts him, and Nova spends most of the episode missing his usual self and worrying that Sprx might not come back to normal.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: With Sprx. They have known each other for a very long time and obviously like each other as more than friends, even though they don't admit it [[spoiler:until Nova does at the end]]. A flashback shows them in their youth as normal monkeys, with their interactions being pretty much identical to how they are in the present.
* ClingyJealousGirl: She gets easily jealous whenever Sprx lays his eyes on another female. Even when he hasn't actually done anything, she hits him for just trying to brag about what he would do if he picked up two hot chicks.
* CloseRangeCombatant: Out of the team, Nova relies on battling up close the most because her {{Power Fist}}s are the most effective for fights in close quarters.
* CowardlyLion: In "Night of Fear", she loses her courage because of a curse from Mandarin. Despite being terrified of everything around her, Sprx helps her pull herself together and she works together with Sprx to defeat a berserk Antauri.
* CuteBruiser: She can smash anything despite her small size.
* CutenessProximity: Nova just can't resist cute things.
* DaddysGirl: [[spoiler: She was very close to her creator the Alchemist before he became the Skeleton King.]]
* DeathGlare: If Nova glares at someone, they're about to get pwned.
* {{Determinator}}: Best shown in the Season Four finale. After the Fire of Hate corrupts Sprx, Nova keeps trying to reach out to him and refuses to believe she can't snap him out of his evil state, even though everyone else in the team has given up on reasoning with Sprx. Nova ends up getting [[ElectricTorture brutally electrocuted and torn apart]] by Sprx, but she ''still'' doesn't give up on getting him back to normal [[spoiler:and her faithful love for him what brings him back from the dark side]].
* DopeSlap: Sprx gets slapped or punched by Nova to shut him up after he says something dumb or annoying, which happens a lot.
* DoubleStandardAbuseFemaleOnMale: She punches and slaps Sprx as part of their RunningGag. Sprx and his big mouth are usually kind of asking for it anyway.
* ElementalPersonalities: Nova has [[PlayingWithFire fire powers]] that [[EmotionalPowers literally run on]] her hot-tempered and fiery personality.
* {{Foil}}: To Sprx. Both are passionate, boisterous and prideful monkeys, but Sprx is prone to making jokes and sarcastic remarks towards his teammates, as opposed to Nova playing the TeamMom who [[BruiserWithASoftCenter she lets her softer side come out around her friends]]. Both [[CannotSpitItOut have a hard time expressing their true feelings, especially towards each other]], yet the two deal with it in different ways; Sprx plays up his teasing and flirtatious behavior, while Nova's short fuse gets the better of her at the smallest provocation. As much as they love each other, Sprx never gathers the courage to admit to Nova that he likes her as more than a friend, not even after almost losing her forever at a wormhole. On the other hand, when faced with the possibility of losing Sprx to the Fire of Hate's corruption, Nova confesses her love and kisses Sprx the moment he's back, ironically showing that Nova is less shy about her feelings when push comes to shove.
* TheGadfly: She picks on Sprx on occasion, especially when she notices he's nervous or scared over something silly.
* GamerChick: One of her hobbies is playing video games with her teammates.
* GirlsLoveStuffedAnimals: She tries to keep this side of her secret from public, but she loves stuffed animals and there's a lot of them in her bedroom.
* GuysSmashGirlsShoot: Thoroughly inverted between Nova and Sprx, as he's the most ranged-specialized monkey and she's the brawliest.
* HandBlast: Her Flame Fist Fury energy attack, which fires a superheated energy beam from her fist.
* TheHeart: She cares a lot about her teammates and gives them emotional support when they need it.
* HotBlooded: She's fiery and hotheaded, always ready for a fight.
* HumanizingTears: Nova has a tough-as-nails personality through and through. The only time she ever completely drops it and acts vulnerable is when the corrupted Sprx tortures her [[spoiler:and she confesses her love for him]], and she breaks down crying not only because of the torture, but because her love interest is the one hurting her.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: In the Season Four finale, [[spoiler: Sprx is turned evil by the Fire of Hate and Nova tries to reason with him and get him to snap out of it, even when Antauri tells her it's useless. [[ThePowerOfLove Her love manages to reach him in the end.]]]]
* InsultOfEndearment: In "Snowbound", she calls Sprx "dumb monkey" in an affectionate tone.
* LikeBrotherAndSister: This is her relationship with most of her male teammates, to varying degrees. She acts as an older sister to Chiro and Otto, but she's more of a younger sister figure to Antauri and to a lesser degree, Gibson. The sole exception is Sprx, due to the obvious romantic attraction between them.
* LoveMartyr: For Sprx in the Season 4 finale. While he's BrainwashedAndCrazy because of the Fire of Hate's corruption, Sprx puts Nova through a ''lot'' of pain, both physically and emotionally. Sprx betrays the team to join the Skeleton King's followers, attacks Nova along the rest of their friends for trying to stop him, calls her a coward for being reluctant to fight him, [[HostageForMacGuffin takes her as hostage to demand the Hyperforce to give up the Skeleton King's skull]], and [[ElectricTorture tortures]] her by tearing her apart with his magnets. Despite being in agonizing pain, Nova still loves Sprx deeply and never stops trying to bring him back to his senses, as she knows Sprx would never do anything so cruel to anyone, especially her, in his right state of mind. [[spoiler:In the end, her love reaches him and frees him from the evil controlling him.]]
* NobodyCallsMeChicken: Sprx teases her by offering her to hold his hand if she gets nervous before facing the Skeleton King Worm. Nova takes this badly because she thinks Sprx is insinuating she's a coward, but he reminds her that wasn't what he said.
* OneOfTheBoys: All of her closest friends are male and she often joins them in their activities, such as training and video games, in their spare time.
* OnlySaneWoman: In "The Savage Lands", she and Otto kept their focus on the mission when Sprx and Gibson lost themselves in their argument.
* PinkMeansFeminine: Downplayed. Nova's color among the monkeys is yellow, but her eyes are pink. Notably, she is the only one of the original six monkeys, Antauri aside, to not have black eyes and she is the only female of the group.
* PlayingWithFire: She has the ability to use fire. At first she could only use it if she entered in an UnstoppableRage, but later she's seen using it without going berserk.
* PluckyGirl: She's brave, strong and spirited. She never gives in to anything.
* PowerFist: Her in-build hand weapons are massive fists.
* RaisedByDudes: She has been surrounded by male monkeys all her life and was unable to socialize before the Monkey Translator was built.
* RoboRomance: With Sprx. They are both robot monkeys and it's made obvious that they love each other very much.
* SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl: GenderInverted. Nova is down-to-earth and no-nonsense, in contrast to Sprx who is the cheeky, playful comedian of the team.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: She's annoyed by Sprx's brash attitude, but deep down, she loves him because he's a hero at heart, and a good and protective friend to everyone in the team.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She is the only female robot monkey on the team.
* StellarName: "Nova" is an astronomic term given to bright stars that appear suddenly in the sky and release powerful energy.
* StevenUlyssesPerhero: Nova is an explosion caused by a dying star and she has a hidden PlayingWithFire ability that can turn her into an AngstNuke.
* SwissArmyTears: [[spoiler: During her AnguishedDeclarationOfLove, Nova cries a SingleTear that lands on Sprx's snout. This snaps him out of the Fire of Hate's control.]]
* TameHerAnger: She tries to control her anger because she knows that if she enters in an UnstoppableRage her PlayingWithFire powers will go out of control and she will become an AngstNuke.
* TeamMom: She scolds her teammates when they are fooling around, but also cares a lot about their well-being.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Tomboy to Jinmay's Girly Girl. Nova is a cybernetic female monkey who fights with {{Power Fist}}s, while Jinmay is a RobotGirl with pink hair in GirlishPigtails and wearing a dress.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Despite her tomboyish personality, Nova is rather fond of cute things. Her room is filled with stuffed animals and a tea set, in addition to an arsenal of battle weapons.
* TraumaButton: Nova has a very bad reaction to cold weather because Mandarin tried to teach her how to "brave the elements" by locking her in a room and cranking the temperature as low as it would go.
* {{Tsundere}}: Towards Sprx. She gets angry with him and hits him whenever he says something annoying, but it's obvious she cares a lot about him. Her ''dere'' side fully comes out in the Season 4 finale [[spoiler:as Nova confesses she loves him and kisses him on the cheek]], so it's likely she turns more affectionate after that point.
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: Whenever Sprx is hurt in battle, it's usually Nova who jumps in to defend him.
* WellExcuseMePrincess: She constantly criticizes Sprx for his laziness, goofiness, and tactlessness. He retorts with snippy snarks and teasing.
* WomenAreWiser: Nova is more sensible and no-nonsense than her male teammates, with the exception of Antauri. Sprx and Gibson are prone to getting lost in petty arguments, and Otto is very silly and easily distracted. This is why Antauri makes her third-in-command.

The Hyperforce's HumongousMecha and home.
-----
* AnatomyArsenal: as per Mecha tradition the Super Robot comes equipped with a variety of weapons
** AttackDrone: Has a set of small sphere that spin and fill the area with a rain of laser fire.
** BackpackCannon: Has one with ridiculous [[TelescopingRobot length]] and power to match.
** ChestBlaster: Lasertron Fury, a powerful beam that is fired from its entire torso, but the attack has a high energy cost.
** EyeBeams: Has regular energy and freeze beam settings.
** FingerFirearms: The Fingers open up to fire a wave of missiles.
** HeadBlast: The antenna on its head can fire energy blasts.
** LegCannon: Well more foot then leg, but the Foot Crusher Cruisers can fire missiles while in robot mode.
** MacrossMissileMassacre: Mega Missles, it can fire them from just about anywhere from it body, mostly from the entire length of its arms, but can do so with hands and feet as well.
** PowerPalms: Has a set of [[FireBreathingWeapon flamethrowers in its hands]]
** RocketPunch: The Fist Rockets, can be used as... well [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Fist Rockets]]
** ShoulderCannon: Torso Cannons, though like the name says they are more on the main body than shoulder joints.
* AndShowItToYou: Did this to another robot that towered over it and ripped out its power source, complete with a heartbeat sound.
* BigDamnHeroes: Does this quite often, either remotely piloted through the power primate, or by its own will.
* CombiningMecha: It can transform and separate into six smaller vehicles for each member for the Hyperforce.
* DoAndroidsDream: One of the biggest mysteries about the Super Robot is whether it can think for itself and have a soul. Sprx doesn't believe that can be possible, but several of the Super Robot's actions indicate it does have sentience in some manner.
* HumongousMecha: It's big enough to live in.
* MechanicalLifeform: Starting from Season 3, it became clear that the Super Robot does possess a will of its own. Best showcased in "Ghost in the Machinder" and "Prototype" where the Super Robot acts without any pilots.
* SuperPrototype: While significantly less powerful than the four-generations-subsequent iteration Slingshot, it seems to equal the first evil robot it fights in "Prototype", then be significantly more powerful than [[spoiler: Professor Maezono]]'s mass-produced robots.
* TinCanRobot: It has boxes for its head, body, and feet, extremely boxy hands and fingers, and tube arms.
* TranslatorMicrobes: It is equipped with a universal translator, allowing the monkeys to use the robot as a loud speaker and be understood.
* TheUnintelligible: It can communicate though a pattern on electronic beeping and lights, so far only understandable by a robot of the same line.

A robot in the form of a young girl. She was found floating in space by the Skeleton King. He brought her aboard the Citadel of Bone, and erased her memories. He then sent her to Shuggazoom along with Sakko, one of his agents, in an attempt to eliminate the Hyperforce. She quickly starts a romance with Chiro and he manages to free her from the Skeleton King's control, but she leaves Shuggazoom in an attempt to learn more about her origins.

In Season 3, Jinmay begins to train her powers. She is then given a Hyperforce uniform, making her an honorary member.
-----
* AffirmativeActionGirl: Before she joined, Nova was the only female member in the Hyperforce.
* AllLovingHeroine: She's extremely sweet, innocent and helpful. She gave refuge to the few remaining citizens of Shuggazoom even though all of them were infected and soon would become wraiths.
* BattleCouple: {{Downplayed|Trope}} with Chiro. She [[TookALevelInBadass trains her combat abilities and joins the Hyperforce as an honorary member]], but she doesn't team up as a duo with Chiro in battle.
* BetaCouple: {{Inverted|Trope}}. Jinmay is the protagonist's girlfriend, which should make her and Chiro the main couple of the show. However, Jinmay is more of a supporting character and her relationship with Chiro is perfectly stable. In turn, the more focused and dynamic romantic subplot ended up going to [[BelligerentSexualTension Sprx and Nova]].
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's a nice and friendly girl but she earned her place on the Hyperforce by showing she can hold up a fight after some training with Nova.
* BlushSticker: She has two permanently rosy spots on her cheeks.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: In "The Hills Have Five", the VillainOfTheWeek kidnaps her and forcibly reprograms her to make her into arm candy, causing her to turn against Chiro.
* BullyMagnet: Chiro first meets her when he sees her being harassed by the town's bullies.
* TheCutie: She's a cute and sweet pink-haired RobotGirl who loves the hero protagonist.
* DamselInDistress: In her introduction, the Season 1 finale and the Season 3 opener, she required rescue by the Hyperforce after one of the villains got her. Season 4 also has an episode where she gets kidnapped and reprogrammed by the VillainOfTheWeek.
* DefectingForLove: Initially she worked for the Skeleton King (due to brainwashing) but ThePowerOfLove for Chiro broke through that.
* DesignatedGirlFight: She fights Valeena for [[ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend attacking Chiro]], complete with [[CatFight cat shrieks in the background.]]
* EveryProperLadyShouldCurtsy: She curtsies when Chiro first introduces her to the monkeys.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: In "The Hills Have Five", she briefly changes into a black biker outfit when she's [[BrainwashedAndCrazy brainwashed]] by the VillainOfTheWeek.
* EyeBeams: She can fire laser from her eyes when she's in her battle mode.
* FauxActionGirl: After her power-up in Season 3, she's presented as a capable and talented fighter. However, she only gets to show off decent combat skills in one episode for a DesignatedGirlFight against Valeena. In other episodes she appears in, she gets sidelined or beaten in the battles.
* FingerFirearms: She can fire small rockets from her fingertips.
* GirlishPigtails: She's a cute RobotGirl with her hair tied into pigtails.
* GirlyBruiser: She's adorable and girly. She also can fire eye lasers, or some of the many missiles loaded in her robot body. And she's not too bad at chucking vehicles, either.
* GoodWearsWhite: She later gets her own white Hyperforce uniform.
* HoneyTrap: In her introduction, Skeleton King initially uses Jinmay to make Chiro get crush on her, leading him and his teammates to lower their guard while Sakko steals information from them.
* HonoraryTrueCompanion: By the start of Season 3, the Hyperforce recognize Jinmay as a member and entrust her to keep Shuggazoom City safe in their absence. However, she doesn't join their adventures except for a few episodes in Season 4.
* HumongousMecha: She can transform into a giant robot.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: She is the only one able to reach Chiro after he's turned into a Wraith in "Ghosts of Shuggazoom".
* TheIngenue: She's pure hearted and innocent to a fault.
* InLoveWithTheMark: When she first met and fell in love with Chiro, Skeleton King was secretly using her to let Sakko steal information from the Hyperforce and then, he brainwashes her to make her fight the Hyperforce. Although, she didn't know Chiro was her mark.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: Skeleton King erased her memories of her life before meeting Chiro.
* MagicSkirt: Her skirt never moves in the wrong way that would reveal her undies, not even when she's fighting or flying.
* MinidressOfPower: After becoming an honorary member of the Hyperforce, she wears a white minidress that's basically a female version of Chiro's uniform.
* MistakenForBetrayal: When the Hyperforce discovers Sakko is a spy, Chiro thinks Jinmay was in on it and he treats her like a traitor. Actually, Jinmay is innocent and Sakko is the only one who was working for Skeleton King, while Jinmay was just their unwitting puppet.
* MysteriousPast: We never find out where she really came from or why she was aimlessly floating in space before Skeleton King found her and erased her memories.
* NiceGirl: She's very kind, polite and caring.
* NonhumanLoverReveal: Chiro fell in love with her before he knew she was a robot. When he found out, [[UnderstandingBoyfriend he didn't mind]].
* OfficialCouple: With Chiro. She's his girlfriend, having started dating him in the pilot episode.
* OffWithHerHead: She gets her head ripped off by Mandarin and Sakko in the Season 1 finale.
* OutOfFocus: Jinmay is set up as a major character in the very first episode and she's eventually recognized as an honorary team member by the Hyperforce. However, even after she's already part of the team, she tends to completely disappear for several episodes and the mystery of her origins is never explored, much less answered.
* PeoplePuppets: In the first episode, Sakko takes control of her HumongousMecha form, forcing her to fight the Super Robot and attack Chiro. Fortunately, Chiro successfully stops Sakko's control over her.
* QuestForIdentity: In the first episode, she leaves Shuggazoom in order to learn more about herself, but her quest is interrupted by Mandarin and Sakko. Later, she abandons it and decides to stay in Shuggazoom.
* RedHeadInGreen: She has pink hair and her first outfit is a primarily green dress.
* RescueRomance: She first meets Chiro when he defends her from BT and Glenny's bullying. They soon started dating soon after.
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: She could so easily pass for a human. She has emotions, she craves food, she thinks for herself, and yet we still know she's a robot.
* RobotGirl: She looks like a young girl, but she's a completely mechanic being. She usually appears human, but she can change into a more robotic form for combat.
* RoboticReveal: In the first episode, Jinmay herself was surprised to discover she's a robot, since the Skeleton King made her forget what she really is.
* RoseHairedSweetie: She's a sweet and lovely girl with pink hair.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: Practically all her characterization comes from her romantic relationship with Chiro. She gets a bit of development in Season 4, but her character is always mostly defined as Chiro's robot girlfriend.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: A red scarf comes with her Hyperforce outfit.
* ShipperOnDeck: Implied to be this for Sprx and Nova. In "Soul of Evil", Jinmay notices Nova's feelings for Sprx when she sees how sad and worried Nova is about Sprx turning evil because of the Fire of Hate, and tries to comfort Nova by telling her they're going to get Sprx back, clearly knowing how much Nova wants to be together with him.
* SignificantWardrobeShift: At the start of Season 3, she changes her initial dress for a uniform similar to Chiro's hypermode, now that she's been recognized as a member of the team.
* SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan: She quickly falls for Chiro because he treated her nicely and became her first friend in Shuggazoom. Finding out he's a superhero makes her crush on him even stronger.
* SixthRanger: She joins the Hyperforce in season 3 as its seventh member. However, she only directly helps them in a few episodes of Season 4.
* SuperMode: At the start of Season 3, she discovers how to activate a battle mode that turns her skin into metallic material.
* TemporarilyAVillain: In "The Hills Have Five", Jinmay gets kidnapped and reprogrammed by the leader of the Wild Five, forcing her to act like a member of the gang until the end of the episode.
* TomatoInTheMirror: When she first appears, Jinmay thinks she's a normal girl who just moved to Shuggazoom City with her pet monkey Sakko. Then she finds out Sakko is a spy working for the Skeleton King and she's not a normal girl either, but a robot that the Skeleton King picked up from space and reprogrammed to send her to fight the Hyperforce.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Girly Girl to Nova's Tomboy. She's a cutesy RobotGirl with pink hair in GirlishPigtails and wearing a dress, while Nova is a cybernetic female monkey who fights with {{Power Fist}}s.
* TookALevelInBadass: At the beginning of Season 3, she begins to learn to use her powers and trains with Nova to become a capable fighter and a more useful ally for the team.
* TransformingMecha: She can transform into a HumongousMecha.
* UnwittingPawn: In her first appearance, Jinmay brings Sakko with her to the Super Robot. Unbeknownst to her, Sakko is the Skeleton King's spy and he hacks into the Super Robot's computer while Jinmay spends time with Chiro. Turns out the Skeleton King planned the whole thing and used her as his pawn after erasing her true memories.
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: In "Ghosts of Shuggazoom", she fights off Valeena to save Chiro, who was turned into a wraith.

A trio of [[ShowWithinAShow actors-turned-]][[HeelFaceTurn villians-turned-heroes]] whom Chiro once idolized, then fought against, [[RebuiltPedestal and is now]] [[DefeatMeansFriendship allied with]]. In their debut, they [[DealWithTheDevil were working under Skeleton King in exchange for their powers]], but after their defeat by the Hyperforce, they turned over a new leaf and started using their powers to guard an endangered colony on Delta 5, a volcanic planet near Shuggazoom.
-----
* ArsenalAttire: Super Quasar's weapon is his helmet, Johnny's are his gloves, and Aurora has her gun strapped to her leg.
* BackForTheFinale: They return in the final episode to join the Hyperforce in the war against Skeleton King.
* BadassArmFold: Super Quasar's favorite pose has him with his arms folded, to make himself look cool.
* BadassCreed: ''"Light above darkness, forever! Sun Riders, fight on!!"''
* TheBigGuy: Quasar is the largest member of the team and has the most destructive weapon of the three.
* BigOlEyebrows: Quasar has very thick eyebrows.
* BigThinShortTrio: Quasar is big and muscular, Aurora is thin and curvy, Johnny is short and childlike.
* CallingYourAttack: They call their own attacks here and there, the most frequent being Quasar's ''"Solar Helmet Hot Shot!"''
* CombinationAttack: When they join hands, the Sun Riders perform Super Solar Strike, a destructive team attack that's similar to a solar flare.
* CoolBike: They used to ride a motorcycle, though it ended up in the hands of the Hyperforce.
* CoolHelmet: They wear helmets in their introduction, although Johnny discards his quickly.
* DealWithTheDevil: They got powers from making a deal with the Skeleton King.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: The Hyperforce defeats them in their first appearance. In their next appearances, it's shown that their defeat led them to reform
* TheEngineer: Johnny builds all of the team's weapons.
* FaustianRebellion: Skeleton King gave them their powers, and now they're using them against his forces.
* FieryRedhead: Johnny is a redhead and he's also a little bundle of nerves.
* GratuitousJapanese: Super Quasar and Aurora have Japanese accents, even though [[AliensSpeakingEnglish everyone in the setting speaks English regardless of their planet]]. Quasar actually adds the [[UsefulNotes/JapaneseHonorifics "-san" honorific]] to Chiro's name.
* TheGunslinger: Aurora Six uses the Sun Gun, a weapon that shoots sun beams that stuns her enemies.
* HeadTurningBeauty: Aurora is so alluring that she can get WingdingEyes with [[HeartSymbol hearts]] from ''monkeys''.
* HeelFaceTurn: Originally, they were under contract to Skeleton King, but later became Chiro's allies.
* HotBloodedSideburns: Super Quasar has large sideburns. His design is obviously meant to be a parody of anime superheroes from the 70s and 80s.
* ImpossibleHourglassFigure: Aurora Six has a very thin waist sandwiched between her sizable chest and hips.
* LargeAndInCharge: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. Super Quasar, the tallest and largest member, is supposed to be TheLeader of the trio. However, Johnny, the shortest, takes more of a leading role compared to him.
* MinidressOfPower: Aurora Six's superhero costume is an orange and white minidress.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Quasar and Aurora have very {{Animesque}} designs, but Johnny looks more cartoony by comparison. Among other things, it's notable that Johnny is drawn with [[FourFingeredHands only four fingers on his hands]], while Quasar and Aurora have five fingers on each hand.
* ThePowerOfTheSun: Most of their attacks are solar energy beams.
* ProudBeauty: Aurora Six knows she's hot and sure seems to like that even monkeys fawn over her.
* PsychoticSmirk: Johnny has a surprisingly scary one.
* TheQuietOne: Quasar has few and short lines compared to his teammates.
* RapidAging: They turn old and grey whenever Skeleton King is near. The experience looks excruciatingly painful for them.
* RebuiltPedestal: Chiro idolizes them until he finds out they made a DealWithTheDevil with his worst enemy, and they attack him and his team. In their second appearance, they regain his respect after proving they have reformed and become the heroes he once idolized.
* ReformedButRejected: In their second episode, they have reformed and become true heroes fighting the Skeleton King's forces to protect innocent people. However, having been betrayed and almost killed by them before, Chiro doesn't believe they have turned around for real. The Sun Riders have to prove they had a change of heart before Chiro accepts them as his allies.
* ShorterMeansSmarter: Johnny is the shortest member of the trio, and also happens to be the smartest among them.
* TheSmartGuy: Johnny is the genius of the team, mirroring both Gibson and Otto from the Hyperforce.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Aurora Six is the only woman in the trio.
* SuperSentaiStance: They like to strike a pose after they win a fight.
* TheTease: Aurora seems pleased with Sprx fawning over her and she's seen flirtatiously caressing him once.
* ThemeNaming: Each of the Sun Riders' names are a pun on a part of the actual sun itself: Super Quasar after the explosion from which stars like the sun are born, Aurora Six after the light given off from the sun (most obvious during the dawn or a solar eclipse), and Johnny Sunspot after a temporary blot of darkness that appears and disappears from the sun's surface on account of magnetic pulses.
* ThinkNothingOfIt:
-->'''Chiro:''' (after being rescued by Johnny) Uh, thanks.\
'''Johnny:''' Don't mention it. You might start thinking I'm one of the good guys. ''[smirks]''
* TookALevelInKindness: In their first appearance, they're malicious and treacherous, abusing Chiro's trust and admiration for them to attempt killing him and his team. In their next appearance, they have reformed and become true heroes who defend the weak. They also win back Chiro's trust by helping him fight the Skeleton King, for real this time.
* TriangleShades: Super Quasar's helmet has three-pointed triangular shades.
* TrickedOutGloves: Johnny Sunspot has a pair that can control black holes.
* UnderwearOfPower: Super Quasar's superhero costume includes orange briefs on the outside.
* UnrealisticBlackHole: Johnny can make black holes with just his gloves. He has complete control over them, can decide whether or not his target will be released, and they don't even have ''event horizons.''
* VocalDissonance: Creator/TomKenny's obviously adult voice sounds really weird in a childlike character like Johnny.
* WeaponizedHeadgear: Super Quasar shoots a consecrated beam of solar energy from his helmet's visors.
* WhiteGloves: Johnny wears white cartoon gloves. With them, [[TrickedOutGloves he could put you in a black hole with a flick of his wrist.]]
* YouthfulFreckles: Johnny, the youngest-looking member, has freckled cheeks.

* GeniusLoci: A living planetesimal.

An AcePilot whom Sprx admired. The Hyperforce found him floating unconscious around the wreckage of his ship, The Last Chance, and took him into the Super Robot. Near them was the Citadel of Bone, where the team realized that Quint's crew was alive, so they went in to save them. However, a tiny piece of the Citadel, which Quint had kept tied around his neck, [[BrainwashedAndCrazy corrupted his mind.]] [[RoaringRampageofRevenge It made him want revenge on the Citadel for wrecking his ship,]] rather than rescue his crew. He'd stolen the Super Robot's neutron generator and attacked Chiro and Sprx when they tried to stop him. [[YouAreWhatYouHate Chiro managed to talk him back to his senses.]]
-----
* AcePilot: He must be outstanding if he's good enough of a pilot for Sprx to admire him.
* BackForTheFinale: He returns in the final episode to join the Hyperforce in the war against Skeleton King.
* BadassNormal: He doesn't have any special powers to speak of-- just a laser harpoon, a helpful crew, and a ship at least a hundred times the size of the Super Robot.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Corrupted by a piece of the Citadel of Bone.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: His quest for revenge against the Citadel of Bone almost turns him into the kind of evil he was trying to destroy in the first place. Fortunately, Chiro talks sense into him before the point of no return.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's very rude to the Hyperforce at first, but after they help him save his crew and free him from evil influence, he's actually a decent guy.
* PerpetualFrowner: He's constantly frowning throughout his episode.
* RebuiltPedestal: Sprx loses his respect for him after Quint becomes corrupted by the Citadel of Bone, but they get on good terms after Quint is talked back to his senses.
* RevengeBeforeReason: In his quest for revenge for the destruction of his spaceship, Quint forgets rescuing his crew. Instead, he tries to blow up the Citadel of Bone, along with himself and the Hyperforce. Fortunately, Chiro talks sense into him.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Against the Skeleton King for what happened to him and his crew.
* ScaryTeeth: His mouth is full of sharp fangs. It's possibly an early symptom of his corruption, as other corrupted characters have similar teeth.
* YouAreWhatYouHate: Chiro tells him this almost word-for-word to make him see the Citadel of Bone has turned him into the kind of evil he hates the most, but it takes him a few seconds to realize he was right.

Nova's martial arts teacher. He's known as one of the greatest warriors in the galaxy and has been the mentor to the best of warriors. While the Hyperforce is chasing the Dark One Worm, Nova recommends him to train Chiro.
-----
* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: He may have always been in charge of the dojo, but after he got BrainwashedAndCrazy, he turned bloodthirsty and would not allow anyone to leave unless they defeated him-- which no one did until Chiro arrived.
* BackForTheFinale: He returns in the final episode to join the Hyperforce in the war against Skeleton King.
* BadassLongRobe: He enters the battle [[FlungClothing wearing only]] [[TheCoatsAreOff the lower half of it.]]
* BareFistedMonk: His fighting style is completely based on martial arts and the Hyperforce's are ineffective against him. The closest thing to a weapon he uses are [[SpontaneousWeaponCreation energy claws he generates.]]
* BigOlEyebrows: His eyebrows are so long that they swoop above his head, which adds to his goat-like appearance.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: The Dark One Worm made him AxCrazy and evil.
* ChallengeSeeker: As he says so himself, he searches for a WorthyOpponent and before Chiro defeated him, he crushed all warriors who failed to become a challenge for him.
* TheCoatsAreOff: Before he enters the ring, he makes sure to throw off the top part of his robe.
* CoolOldGuy: When he's in his right mind, he's a dignified martial artist.
* DeadGuyOnDisplay: He has a room full of severed heads mounted on the walls.
* DefeatMeansRespect: He comes to respect Chiro after being defeated by him. Offay actually [[GracefulLoser bows his head to Chiro]].
* EyesAlwaysShut: He keeps his eyes closed until he jumps into the ring and [[GrowingMusclesSequence transforms]]. Then we see that he has MonochromaticEyes.
* GracefulLoser: When Chiro beats him fair and squre, he bows to the victor and allows him to leave.
* GrowingMusclesSequence: When he begins his battle, he goes from fragile-looking old man to hulk.
* HeelFaceTurn: When the Dark One Worm's corruption is neutralized, he stops being evil and becomes an ally to the Hyperforce.
* HiddenEvil: He hides his evilness from Chiro when they met.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Chiro defeats Offay using the very lessons Offay taught him.
-->'''Chiro''': [[IronicEcho A still spirit can conquer anything]]. And that includes you!
* LightningBruiser: He can [[PunchedAcrossTheRoom send his opponents flying with one swing of an arm or leg]], KO'd Gibson just by spinning around and flinging his lasers back at him, has [[MadeOfIron an iron defense]], and has no shortage of agility, either.
* MadeOfIron: It took a direct blast from the Power Primate that slammed him into a brick wall to leave even a single scratch on him. And he was still conscious.
* MartialArtistsAreAlwaysBarefoot: He's an elderly martial artist who walks around barefoot with tape tied around his ankles.
* MonochromaticEyes: He has white eyes with no pupils.
* OhCrap: He gets an utterly shocked look on his face when Chiro hits him with the Power Primate-- twice.
* OldMaster: He is a respected dojo master and taught martial arts to Nova and later, teaches Chiro.
* PointyEars: He has long and pointy elf-like ears.
* PowerDyesYourHair: His muscled form turns his beard from white to black.
* RebuiltPedestal: Nova was not amused when he turned out to be BrainwashedAndCrazy but she presumably came to terms with it after he returned to his senses after losing to Chiro.
* {{Sarashi}}: When fighting in the ring, he reveals he has a sarashi wrapped around his waist.
* SternTeacher: He puts Chiro through a [[TrainingFromHell harsh training regime]] which includes hitting him with a stick to strengthen his concentration and making him walk barefoot on burning coals.

A powerful robot that the Hyperforce met in the "Corrupted Zone," a whole quadrant of planets corrupted by the Dark One Worm. He is, in fact, the last of the robot model series created by the professors that made the Super Robot.
-----
* ArmCannon: He nails the Super Robot with wrist blasters powerful enough to disable it with a single sustained blast despite the size disparity. Later combines them with the Super Robot's ChestBlaster to form an army (or at least multi-HumongousMecha) annihilating blast.
* DeadpanSnarker: He wastes no time in sassing and smartassing the Robot Monkey Team, once he finally starts talking to them.
* GoodAllAlong: Professor Maezono lies to the Hyperforce about Prometheus V's actions and motives, convincing them that the robot is the bad guy. Luckily, Prometheus V can communicate with the Super Robot to clear up the misunderstanding and reveal that Professor Maezono is the evil one.
* InSeriesNickname: He is nicknamed "Slingshot".
* LightningBruiser: Fast enough to often appear as little more than a blur, and lose the Super Robot in flight with relative ease. Resilient enough to use himself as essentially a kinetic weapon to take down much larger robots without visible damage. Has the aforementioned overpowered {{Arm Cannon}}s, can throw around explosive energy balls, and who knows what else given all the different things the Super Robot [[spoiler: (who was ''four prototypes before'' him)]] can do.
* MeaningfulName: Slingshot, given to him by Chiro because of his main ability.
* SmugSuper: Prometheus V talks down to the Robot Monkey Team, has a cocky attitude, and catapults himself through dozens of enemy robots. Probably deserves the attitude considering he's a ridiculously powerful fighting robot who is only ever slowed down by his prototype, and only then because he isn't truly seeking to harm it considering the effects of his arm cannons on it the one time he openly attacks it.
* YouAreNumberSix: He's the fifth robot of the Prometheus series, hence Prometheus V.

A warrior who the Monkey Team [[BadassInDistress received a distress call from]] on their way back to Shuggazoom after destroying the Dark One Worm. She tells them about the Varkon Commodore, who had destroyed her home world, along with many others all for the sake of some sick, twisted game. She called on them because she needed their help to stop him from doing any further damage.

The Hyperforce agrees to help her with this, and the timing couldn't have been better, because his next target is Shuggazoom.
-----
* AnimeHair: She has an asymmetrical hairstyle; long hair on the left side and bald on the right side.
* BackForTheFinale: She returns in the final episode to join the Hyperforce in the war against Skeleton King.
* BadassInDistress: A professional warrior on her home planet, but she needs help with this threat.
* BadassNormal: She isn't part robot or wielder of a mystical power, but she looks like she can hold her own just fine with a laser whip and her ''hair''.
* FashionableAsymmetry: She has a shoulder pad on only one of her shoulders.
* ImpossiblyLowNeckline: Taken to its logical extreme. Her outfit is strapless and sideless, making it look like the front must be glued to her skin to not fall off.
* NavelDeepNeckline: Her outfit has a plunging neckline from the collarbone to beneath the abdomen.
* PointyEars: She's an alien with pointy ears.
* RedHeadInGreen: She has auburn hair and wears a green form-fitting outfit.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: She wears a very revealing green suit for battle.
* VaporWear: Her outfit has gaps everywhere. The amount of skin revealed makes her lack of underwear very obvious.
* WeaponSpecialization: Her main weapon is a [[EnergyWeapons laser whip]].

While searching for Mandarin and Valeena, the Hyperforce discovered an old man in a deep underground cavern wearing a helmet shaped like their emblem. After reviving him with The Sleep Cannon in reverse polarity, it's revealed that the old man is Captain Shuggazoom, previous defender of Shuggazoom City.
-----
* AnimeHair: In his younger days, his hair was spiky, like that of Chiro in hypermode.
* CaptainSuperhero: His superhero name is Captain Shuggazoom.
* CoolOldGuy: Even in his old, crippled state, he'll do whatever he can for the greater good. He still maintains enough of his old strength to defeat Mandarin with one blow.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: In the time of his sleep, the [[spoiler:Alchemist turned into Skeleton King]], the Hyperforce was established, Mandarin betrayed the team, the team went to 'sleep', Chiro awakened them and so on.
* FlyingBrick: He possesses super-strength, durability and flight, despite those having been weathered down with decades of hibernation. In his prime, he was capably enough of defeating giant monsters that the team likely would've used the Super Robot for.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: He was the lone protector of Shuggazoom before the Monkey Team was formed. He was quite good at it too.
* IWasQuiteALooker: He was quite handsome in his youth.
* MyGreatestFailure: [[spoiler: He deeply regrets abandoning his dear friend the Alchemist when he needed him the most.]]
* RipVanWinkle: He has been sleeping for decades due to the Sleep Cannon he used to subdue the [[spoiler: [[BigRedDevil Dark One that had escaped from the Alchemist's portal]] as it malfunctioned]]. The tragic part is that he never could hold his promise to his best friend [[spoiler: the Alchemist]] to come back in time.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: His superhero costume includes a scarf around the neck, much like Chiro's hypermode.
* SecretIdentity: Unlike Chiro, he kept his superhero identity as a separate persona from his civilian identity, the wealthy MillionairePlayboy industrialist Clayton Carrington.
* ShockAndAwe: One of his attacks involve releasing a burst of bioelectricity.
* TimePassageBeard: Since he spent decades in a hibernation state, he obviously couldn't shave and grew an incredibly long white beard.

->''"Wherever you find fear, boy, you'll find me."''

The main antagonist of the series who resides in the Citadel of Bone, a gigantic living spaceship made entirely out of bone filled with nightmarish creatures. Skeleton King plots to rule the universe starting with the planet Shuggazoom.
-----
* AmbiguousRobots: In ''I, Chiro'', when Antauri slashes and badly damages the orb on his chest (previously shown to be a detachable scanning unit), it sparks and pains him. Later in the episode, when [[spoiler: his head is torn off by Chiro clinging to him]], his neck joints and body visibly (and audibly) spark, wires are revealed, and eventually snap, revealing them to have apparently replaced his spinal cord. This sort of thing is apparently one of the many consequences of Dark One corruption.
* {{Angrish}}: Sometimes when in combat or things don't go as planned, and [[spoiler: his only form of communication once he's fused with the Dark One Worm]].
* ArchEnemy: He is the most intimidating adversary to the Hyperforce and their comrades. But most personally, to Chiro, and wants to destroy everything that is dearest to him.
* BackFromTheDead: He's resurrected in the Season 4 finale.
* BigBad: The main villain of the series, start to finish; it's his EvilPlan to summon the Dark Ones and take over Shuggazoom that drives everything.
* CardCarryingVillain: He's pretty open about being the bad guy, likening himself to a champion of the Dark Ones, who are the ultimate evil of the setting.
* ColdHam: In the Swedish and Italian dubs, he for the most part speaks in a very low tone. Even his laugh is more of an evil chuckle instead of an all-out EvilLaugh.
* TheCorrupter: As Gibson noted, many have fallen under influence and sway of the Skeleton King's power in differing ways. Many threats in the first season essentially consist of Skeleton King corrupting and/or manipulating something or someone, and then throwing it at Shuggazoom City. Even indirectly, as [[spoiler: Mr. Cogsmith, the gear staff Lord Scrapperton recently found, is revealed to be ''SK's staff'', implying it was the one who corrupted Scrapperton.]]
* CreateYourOwnHero: [[spoiler:The Alchemist's last act before the Dark Ones' corrupting influence transformed him into the Skeleton King was to create and empower the Hyperforce so that they would protect the universe from him.]]
* DragonAscendant: [[spoiler: He goes from serving the Dark Ones to essentially ''being'' a Dark One after he fuses his essence with the Dark One Worm. Most characters don’t even try to differentiate the two of them after it happens, usually referring to the fusion as "Skeleton King Worm."]]
* DragonInChief: [[spoiler: To the Dark One Worm. After they fuse together, Skeleton King is the one in control while the Dark One Worm is his weapon to corrupt and destroy planets.]]
* EvilLaugh: He's very fond of laughing sinisterly while being evil.
* EvilOverlord: A galactic tyrant who wants nothing but the destruction of the worlds.
* EvilSoundsDeep: In his Formless mode, his voice goes booming and deep.
* EvilSoundsRaspy: In the Swedish dub, he speaks in a low whispering rasp.
* EvilVirtues: Determination. Skeleton King never seems to so much as ''consider the possibility'' of lasting failure or giving up on his goals - likely because he is so completely consumed with the Dark Ones' pure elemental evil that he ''cannot'' - and maliciously laughs off every defeat or setback, or briefly vents his frustration before (or ''by'') returning to the attack.
* {{Expy}}: He's based on and named after Dokuro King, a Henshin Cyborg villain released as a 12" toy in 1972 by Takara in Japan.
* FangsAreEvil: He has fangs for his mandible, giving him a demonic look.
* FusionDance: [[spoiler: With the Dark One Worm at the end of Season 2 and throughout the rest of Season 3.]]
* HiddenAgendaVillain: In Seasons 1 and 2 the Hyperforce don't know his overall goal.
* HornsOfVillainy: He's the main villain and has lightning-like horns growing from his head. After his resurrection, he wears a helmet with similar horns.
* IHatePastMe: He has nothing but contempt for his past self, [[spoiler:the good-hearted Alchemist who created the Hyperforce specifically to oppose the monster he was doomed to become,]] whom he derides as a sentimental weakling.
* InTheHood: After season 1, his cape gets the addition of a hood, which he puts on when he wants to look particularly sinister.
* LovecraftianSuperpower: He can pluck his eye out to turn it into a giant monster.
* LukeIAmYourFather: [[spoiler: He is the one who created the Robot Monkeys. Before he became Skeleton King, the Alchemist created the Robot Monkeys to protect the cosmos from the [[EldritchAbomination Dark Ones]] and [[GreaterScopeVillain their master and creator]].]]
* MouthOfSauron: In "I, Chiro," he becomes a puppet of Dark One Worm and it uses him to speak to Chiro.
* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: He just seems to bring out new powers when it's most inconvenient for the heroes' situation.
* OffWithHisHead: [[spoiler: Chiro ripped his body from his head as the Dark Worm left Shuggazoom and pulled Skeleton King with it.]]
* OmnicidalManiac: Skeleton King became this fully by the end, wanting nothing more than to turn all of Shuggazoom and the rest of the universe into a massive tomb, with the undead reigning supreme to destroy the living at his command.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: In Season 1, he keeps sending his minions and monsters to attack Shuggazoom, but he mostly just stays sitting on his throne at his evil lair. Justified as at the time, he was spiritually linked to the Citadel of Bone and unable to leave it.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His red eyes make even more obvious his status as the main villain.
* ReturningBigBad: Every time the Hyperforce thinks they have defeated him for good, he comes back to start the battle of good versus evil again. He's defeated in the Season 2 finale and again in the Season 3 finale, but Season 4 ends with his resurrection and him starting a war against the Hyperforce and their allies.
* ShapeshifterGuiltTrip: In "In the Grip of Evil", he uses this against [[spoiler: Nova by briefly transforming into the Alchemist with whom Nova had a close relationship]].
* ShoutOut:
** Him being an EvilOverlord with an undead skeleton motif could be a reference to Skeletor from ''WesternAnimation/HeManAndTheMastersOfTheUniverse1983''. The similarities get more obvious with Skeleton King's post-resurrection design.
*** Mark Hamill would later go on to ''voice'' Skeletor himself in ''WesternAnimation/MastersOfTheUniverseRevelation''.
** He also looks very similar to the Horned King from ''WesternAnimation/TheBlackCauldron'' in both appearance and voice.
* SkullForAHead: After his rebirth, he keeps his peeled skull as the head of his new body.
* StalkerWithoutACrush: To Chiro. He had [[StalkerShrine a room full of Chiro's stuff in the Citadel,]] but was only interested in his Power Primate and his role as an opponent in the "universal game of good vs evil."
* StayingAlive: No matter what the Hyperforce do to him, he'll be back.
* StrawNihilist: He refers to all life as a "tragic, pointless mistake." After his revival, he announces he'll make Shuggazoom his tomb.
* TragicMonster: [[spoiler: He was the Alchemist, a kind magician who got corrupted by [[EldrichAbomination the Dark Ones]].]]
* UngratefulBastard: [[spoiler: After Valeena brought him back to life, he ''rewarded'' her [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness by destroying her]]]].
* VileVillainSaccharineShow: The show is a very light-hearted homage to {{Sentai}} Japanese series, with the main characters being a young boy and his cute robot monkey teammates. Then their main enemy, the Skeleton King, is a tyrannical EvilOverlord who frequently abuses and disposes of his minions, and he serves trans-dimensional {{Eldritch Abomination}}s that seek to corrupt and destroy all life in the universe. Whenever the heroes confront him directly, the show gets a lot darker.
* WasOnceAMan: [[spoiler: He once was the Alchemist, a kindly master of the elements of science and magic until he was corrupted by The Dark Ones, a race of trans-dimensional demons and became their most loyal servant.]]
* XanatosGambit: Many of his minor schemes were part of much bigger plans.

The sixth (and orange) monkey, who was the original leader of the Super Robot Monkey Team. However, his ruthless ambition and lust for power led to him preferring conquest over protection and thus the team having to defeat and exile him. He joined forces with Skeleton King, only for his failures lead to him to be replaced with a formless-based counterpart.

His weapons as a member of the Monkey Team were an energy sword and shield.
-----
* AllYourPowersCombined: He possesses great knowledge of the Power Primate and psychic abilities (Antauri), deadly martial arts skills (Nova), advanced technological expertise (Otto), a keen understanding of science and biology (Gibson), and is a skilled aircraft pilot (SPRX-77). It's no wonder it took the whole Monkey team to defeat him in the first place.
* AmbitionIsEvil: He wanted to rule all of Shuggazoom, and that earned him a one-way ticket to a FaceHeelTurn (also to solitary confinement on a space prison).
* AssholeVictim: Mandarin tried to clone Chiro as part of a plan to take out the monkey team from within. When that plan failed, Skeleton King has Mandarin cloned and replaced.
* BandagedFace: In his first appearance, his face is wrapped in bandages until he meets Chiro.
* BigGuyLittleGuy: In the Season 1 finale, he's now the size of a gorilla and teams up with the tiny monkey Sakko.
* BigOlEyebrows: His eyebrows are very huge.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: One of his weapons was a glove that turned into a LaserBlade.
* BloodKnight: It's never really outright stated he loves to fight, but his natural aggression and scorn for people who can't fight well or choose not to points to this.
* BrokenAce: According to Antauri, Mandarin was the "wisest, smartest and strongest" of the robot monkeys. Unfortunately, he was also the most malicious and ambitious.
* BrokenPedestal: The Monkey Team used to look up to him as their leader until his betrayal.
* CardCarryingVillain: Considering the fact that he willingly allies with beings he openly refers to as "evil", he counts.
* EvilCounterpart: To Antauri. They've both got PsychicPowers and seek to be mentor figures to Chiro, except Mandarin is [[EvilMentor evil]].
* EvilIsBigger: After getting modified by the Skeleton King, Mandarin is as large as a gorilla.
* FallenHero: He used to be the leader of the Hyperforce, but he turned evil and has since aligned himself with Skeleton King.
* FangsAreEvil: His teeth are noticeably more pointed than the rest of the monkeys.
* GoodIsNotNice: Before his FaceHeelTurn, he was technically on the side of good, but he was pretty harsh and mean (even back as a normal monkey).
* HerosEvilPredecessor: He was originally the leader of the Hyperforce before Chiro, but the team had to get rid of him because he turned evil and tried to take over Shuggazoom City.
* HorrifyingTheHorror: Frightens one of the Dark Ones observing them back as a monkey. Takes some serious guts there.
* {{Jerkass}}: He's cruel, smug and looks down on everyone as inferior to him.
* KickTheDog: Back when he was still the leader of the monkey team, Mandarin decided to train Nova to endure in harsh cold. It is quite obvious this was an early sign of Mandarin's sadism as he continued to drop the temperature to near-lethal levels until [[LaserGuidedKarma Nova snapped and unleashed a blast of fire upon him]].
* LaserBlade: His main weapon was his laser blade.
* LaserGuidedKarma: In "Versus Chiro", the original Mandarin captured Chiro and tried to clone him in order to kill the monkeys. After this plot is foiled, the Skeleton King [[YouHaveFailedMe decides he has had enough of Mandarin's failures]] and replaces him with a Mandarin clone of his own creation.
* TheLeader: Until his betrayal, he was the leader for the Hyperforce.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: Besides his laser blade, he had a shield.
* MeaningfulName: Mandarin is the name of a type of orange. Doubles as a Mandarin is a type of monkey. Also triples because he became a subordinate/student of the Skeleton King and the name means "adviser to the king."
* PersonalGainHurts: He wanted to rule Shuggazoom instead of protect it. This lead to his teammates rebelling against him and sending him to prison.
* {{Pride}}: Defining character trait, second only (if that) to his ruthlessness. He thinks of himself as a superior being who deserves to rule over the city he was created to protect.
* PsychicPowers: In his first appearance, he was able to perform levitation and {{telekinesis}} just like Antauri. He hasn't been seen using those powers since though this could be the result of being experimented on.
* PutOnABusToHell: He's replaced by his clone and is dragged away by two huge formless minions, kicking and screaming in fear. We're never told what exactly happens to him, but there's more than enough implications.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: He has red eyelights and is evil.
* SatanicArchetype: A warrior born in the light (of the Power Primate), he was TheLeader of the Hyperforce who, driven by {{Pride}} and selfish desires abandons all notions of goodness in his heart and consigns himself to evil, plunging headfirst into the darkness. After a failed rebellion to TakeOverTheWorld, he is imprisoned in a space station, paralleling Satan's fall from Heaven, upon escaping he tries to tempt [[MessianicArchetype Chiro]] into letting him become his EvilMentor, paralleling Christ's temptation by Satan in the desert.
* TheSmartOneTurnsTraitor: According to Antauri, Mandarin was the smartest, strongest, and wisest of the Monkey Team, and their leader before Chiro took his place. However, Mandarin believed he was above simply protecting Shuggazoom and decided he should rule it instead, which caused his team to overthrow him and seal him away in a space prison.
* SmugSnake: He treats everyone like they're beneath him; Chiro is inferior and the monkey robots are mere tools.
* StaringDownCthulhu: Back as a normal monkey, he was the only one who was not cowering in fear of the Dark Ones displayed on screen (his face being one of revulsion, fascinated disgust and shock.) [[spoiler:It's implied that this is partly what caused him to become evil in the first place. The Dark Ones were likely able to corrupt his mind after the accident involving the Alchemist's portal.]]
* SuperScream: He's the only monkey besides Antauri who can use Monkey Mind Scream.
* TermsOfEndangerment: He frequently refers to Chiro as his "Hairless Monkey".
* TokenEvilTeammate: Even before his FaceHeelTurn, it's heavily implied Mandarin was already malicious and sadistic when he was still a member of the Hyperforce. The biggest hint is that he tortured Nova by nearly freezing her alive under the pretense of "training" her. Also, back when the robot monkeys were normal monkeys, Sprx and Nova were shown to be afraid of Mandarin because of his angry and mean behavior. [[spoiler:It's implied in that same flashback that much like Skeleton King, he had also been corrupted by the Dark Ones.]]
* TortureTechnician: He brutally tortures the Monkey Team (sans Gibson and Chiro) when they are captured by Skeleton King.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: [[spoiler: When the monkeys still lived with the Alchemist as his normal pets, Mandarin accidentally caused the portal to the Dark Ones' dimension to malfunction. This enabled one of the Dark Ones to corrupt the Alchemist, turning him into the Skeleton King.]]
* VillainDecay: He was quite effective in his first appearance, but becomes significantly less threatening afterwards. In his last appearance, he has been reduced to an incompetent and disposable minion that the Skeleton King replaces with a clone.
* WeCanRuleTogether: He initially attempts this with Chiro, with the expected results.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: It is unknown what becomes of Mandarin after the Skeleton King replaces him with a clone.
* YouHaveFailedMe: He's disposed of after he botches up a cloning operation of Chiro (which could also count as DeathByIrony, as afterwards he's ''replaced by a clone of himself'').

The clone that replaces Mandarin after the Skeleton King disposes of him. He has the same memories and abilities as the original Mandarin, acting as a perfect copy.
-----
* AnArmAndALeg: In "I, Chiro", he loses his left arm at the hands of Chiro after he stabbed Antauri.
* AssholeVictim: He ended up inside the belly of the Dark One Worm for several months. He did eventually escape, but it was by no means a pleasant experience.
* BodyHorror: He mutates after being swallowed by the Dark One Worm and living in its stomach for a few months, disfigured by acid and with a claw having grown where his arm had been severed.
* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: In "Secret Society", he could’ve easily taken Skeleton King’s skull and left Valeena at the mercy of her parents and the Hyperforce for how she treated him, but he doesn’t for this reason, as he explains to her at the end.
-->'''Valeena:''' You rescued me, monkey. Why?\
'''Mandarin:''' You know more about the skull than you let on, Witch. It seems its power lies beyond even me.
* TheDragon: Skeleton King's main enforcer and most loyal warrior.
* FacialHorror: He gets half of his face burned with acid.
* GeneticMemory: He possesses all of the original Mandarin's memories, knowledge and skills. Sometimes, it's easy to forget he's a clone since he speaks of the times when the original Mandarin was a member of the Hyperforce as if they happened to him.
* GoMadFromTheIsolation: He spends an undefined amount of time all alone inside the Dark One Worm. When he finally resurfaces in the plot, it's clear he's gone a little bonkers.
* InTheBack: In the Season 2 finale, he stabs Antauri's head from the back with his LaserBlade.
* LaserBlade: He initially uses the original Mandarin's laser sword, but he later loses it and has it replaced with a claw.
* NotQuiteDead: In the Season 2 finale, he gets EatenAlive by the Dark One Worm. Turns out he didn't die, as he reappears an entire season later, though admittedly worse for the wear.
* NothingButSkinAndBones: After being trapped inside the Dark One Worm for months, he looks terribly skinny and malnourished. He's practically a living skeleton with half-rotten skin by the time he escapes.
* PutOnABusToHell: In the Season 2 finale, he's EatenAlive by the Dark One Worm. The Season 3 finale reveals he ended up surviving, but he has gone ''nuts'' and one of his hands replaced with a claw.
* TheRightHandOfDoom: After losing his left arm, he replaces it with a large claw that seems to have resulted from getting mutated while inside the Dark One Worm.
* SuperScream: He can use Monkey Mind Scream, like the original Mandarin.
* SwallowedWhole: After falling into the Pit of Doom, he gets swallowed in one bite by the Dark One Worm.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: With Valeena in the Season 4 finale. They work together to resurrect the Skeleton King, but they clearly hate each other and Valeena repeatedly abuses Mandarin with her magic.
* TheUndead: After the Dark One Worm incident, he spends months inside its stomach. While technically still alive, he looks more like a rotting zombie when he comes out.
* WouldHurtAChild: In the episode "Night of Fear", Mandarin turned Chiro from teenager to a helpless child without the Power Primate to defend himself. He takes sick pleasure in hunting him through the Super Robot before attempting the killing blow.

An evil and powerful sorceress loyal to the Skeleton King.
-----
* CallingTheOldManOut: She feels outraged when her parents [[spoiler:Ma and Pa Shinko]] steal Skeleton King's power and calls them out on their insolence to their master.
* CardCarryingVillain: She venerates the Skeleton King and doing evil in his name is her entire life purpose.
* TheChosenOne: A villainous example. The leaders of the Skeletal Circle and her parents, Ma and Pa Shinko chose her to accept Skeleton King's power.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: She has long black hair and grayish skin that makes her look like an undead.
* EvilCannotStandCuteness: When she sees [[spoiler:Sprx and Nova]] sharing a sweet romantic moment, she calls it "pathetically sentimental" and proceeds to [[MoodWhiplash completely ruin the mood]] by [[spoiler:resurrecting the Skeleton King]].
* EvilCounterpart: To Jinmay. Valeena is devoted to the Skeleton King as Jinmay is to Chiro, but the difference is that Valeena worships a force of pure evil while Jinmay follows TheLeader of the heroes.
* EvilIsAngular: She had much rounder features when she was a normal human girl. Her figure got much more angular after she became the Skull Sorceress.
* EvilIsNotAToy: She genuinely believes that the Skeleton King will reward her with more power after she brings him back to life. [[spoiler:Instead of granting her wish, the Skeleton King mercilessly kills her before the rise of his new evil undead empire.]]
* EvilSorceress: She's a dark sorceress bent on reviving Skeleton King and help him to destroy Hyperforce.
* EvilWearsBlack: She's an evil witch wearing a black dress.
* EyeColourChange: She used to have blue eyes, but they changed to [[TechnicolorEyes bright purple]] after the Skeleton King gave her dark magical powers.
* FangsAreEvil: Her fangs are long and pronounced, probably because of the Skeleton King's influence.
* HairstyleInertia: When she was a little girl, she wore GirlishPigtails. She kept the hairstyle after becoming the Skull Sorceress, but her hair grew longer.
* HornedHumanoid: She has horns on her head. It's unknown if they're accessories or a result of the Skeleton King mutating her.
* HornsOfVillainy: She's an EvilSorceress with devil-like horns.
* IControlMyMinionsThrough: She got Mandarin under her thumb through fear and torture.
* InterimVillain: She acts as the main villain between Skeleton King's defeat in the Season 3 finale and revival in the Season 4 finale.
* JackBauerInterrogationTechnique: She subjects Mandarin to a ColdBloodedTorture in order to force him to tell her where he hid the Skeleton King's skull.
* KarmicDeath: [[spoiler:She is killed without warning by Skeleton King as a "reward" for bringing him back to life.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: Whenever she hits the scene, things become notably direr, simply because she's trying to resurrect the Skeleton King and is powerful enough to succeed.
* KungFuWizard: She's able keep up with and defeat Chiro and Jinmay in physical combat, and is a powerful sorceress besides. She can also move at speeds with fortitude to where she can break through the Super Robot and dispatch the entire Monkey Team without being noticed.
* LeanAndMean: She's a slender, almost skeletal EvilSorceress.
* LockedIntoStrangeness: She used to have purely red hair when she was a normal human girl. After the Skeleton King made her into the Skull Sorceress, most of her hair turned black.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: [[spoiler: Her body is completely destroyed by Skeleton King.]]
* PointyEars: Her ears are pointy, possibly due to her dark magic.
* PsychoSupporter: For Skeleton King. She was raised in a crazy cult that worships him and seeks to resurrect him because she wants him to give her more of his evil power.
* ResurrectTheVillain: In Season 4, her goal is to resurrect the Skeleton King. [[spoiler:She succeeds to bring him back, but he kills her in cold blood as his "thanks".]]
* SealedEvilInACan: In "Ghosts of Shuggazoom", she becomes trapped inside her own magic pendant and Mandarin retrieves it to use her power to terrorize the Hyperforce. She gets freed after Mandarin gets defeated.
* SignatureHeadgear: She wears small skulls to tie back her hair. This could be an expression of her adoration for Skeleton King.
* SycophanticServant: For Skeleton King. She was delighted to receive his power and revive him, [[spoiler:only to get killed by him for her efforts]].
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: With Mandarin in the Season 4 finale. They work together to resurrect the Skeleton King, but they clearly hate each other and Valeena repeatedly abuses Mandarin with her magic.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Was an ordinary girl before she was introduced to Skeleton King.
* VillainousValor: Fought tooth-and-nail against her parents, but was ultimately outmatched.
* VirginSacrifice: Attempts to do this to [[TheIngenue Jinmay]] when we first meet her. Although nobody outright calls it this, there's only so many ways one can interpret her saying Jinmay's "purity" will make a good offering to the Dark One Worm.
* WickedWitch: A sorceress in the image of the Skeleton King, powerful enough to knock out the whole Hyperforce with singular attacks alone.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: [[spoiler: Skeleton King kills her literally minutes after she successfully brought him back to life. It's implied that he saw her as a useless pawn now that she had served her purpose.]]

A black and bulky looking, yet powerful robot made to personally serve Skeleton King as his herald. After being found in space and was attempted to be synched to the ruins of high-tech ship, it assimilated the A.I. and nearby tech to upgrade into the Skeleton King Droid.
-----
* ArmCannon: Its main weapons in both its forms. As TV Monster it tends to fire golden energy balls, while post-upgrade it becomes more partial to rapid-fire energy attacks, although it still retains the option to use charged shots.
* EnergyBall: While still TV Monster, it can form these in its claws and fire them as fairly powerful explosive attacks.
* GatlingGood: It's equipped with a Gatling minigun. They're one of its most powerful attacks post-upgrade, capable of significantly damaging even the Super Robot despite the size disparity.
* LightningGun: Another option it has as TV Monster, by reconfiguring its claws.
* MouthOfSauron: Although the show itself is not afraid to show Skeleton King in his lair, TV Monster often serves this role in combat, displaying a projection of Skeleton King's face and relaying his words, while acting as a fairly powerful EliteMook. This allows Skeleton King a proxy [[spoiler: while he is bound to his Citadel]], and leaves his full capabilities only hinted at by various large-scale feats, giving the heroes something stronger to fight than Formless, while still leaving direct encounters with him rare and terrifying.
* StayingAlive: This thing is NighInvulnerable even by robot standards. It survived explosion after explosion, getting attacked directly constantly, and getting impaled by a laser harpoon!
* TVHeadRobot: As its name indicates, it's a robot with a TV screen. Its main purpose is to act as a communicator and transmitter for Skeleton King.

A tiny monkey who once acted as Jinmay's pet, but is actually a spy for Skeleton King.
-----
* BareMidriffsAreFeminine: Despite [[GenderInvertedTrope being male]], Sakko is a very feminine-looking monkey wearing a midriff-baring dress.
* BigGuyLittleGuy: In the Season 1 finale, he teams up with Mandarin, who is now ten times bigger than him.
* TheBusCameBack: He disappears after the Season 1 finale. He finally reappears early in Season 4, when it's revealed he has been imprisoned in the prison on Ranger 7.
* CardCarryingVillain: As soon as he's revealed as a villain, he looks like he's enjoying it.
* CreepyCrossdresser: He's a male monkey wearing a dress and he's quite evil.
* ElectronicEye: He had a mechanical eye in his first appearance.
* EyeScream: Apparently, Skeleton King gave him an artificial eye when he started to work for him (no word whether or not he'd been missing an eye before this or if Skeleton King just replaced it). Then when Sakko failed him, he ''ripped it out.'' With an audible "pop." He sports an eyepatch in his next appearances.
* TheMole: He infiltrated the city and the Hyperforce as Jinmay's pet.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: He's tiny like a mouse, but strong enough to pull a carriage with Chiro and Jinmay riding on it.
* ShoulderTeammate: During his partnership with Mandarin, Sakko rides around on the larger monkey's shoulder.
* TalkingAnimal: He can talk human language despite being a monkey, for some reason. This is especially odd because the robot monkeys need a translator for people to understand them.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: Inverted. Sakko wears a girly dress and a ribbon, has pink fur and long eyelashes... and he's a male monkey.
* UncattyResemblance: Sakko is introduced posing as Jinmay's pet monkey. His pink fur reminds of Jinmay's pink hair, and he wears a little green dress that's almost identical to Jinmay's first dress.

Also known as Duke Scrapperton, Grand Earl of the Mecha Realm. Once a mortal man who replaced every part of his body with a mechanical part.
-----
* CardCarryingVillain: Once he is revealed to be an antagonist, he ''relishes'' in it.
* CatchPhrase: He repeatedly says "A leftover from my human days."
* CompanionCube: His staff Cogsmith in his debut episode, made worse when you learn [[spoiler: it's the Skeleton King's staff.]]
* CyberneticsEatYourSoul: He became notably more corrupt as he became addicted to replacing his biological parts with mechanical ones. However, he implied after deceiving Chiro that he may have been corrupt since his human days.
* FullConversionCyborg: Scrapperton was once an ordinary man who lost his leg in an accident and had to replace it with a robotic prosthetic. Scrapperton decided to get a "full matching set" and replaced his entire body with robot parts.
* VerbalTic: He habitually says "tic-toc" in his sentences.

A sad and lonely man who is a fan of the Hyperforce, and this fanaticism eventually turned into an obsession. He brainwashes the Robot Monkeys to make them believe he is Chiro and turns them against the real one.
-----
* AbusiveParents: His robot mother seems quite unpleasant in his first episode, then is openly called out by him as emotionally neglectful at the very least in his second.
* AnimalBattleAura: In his second appearance, he has an apelike one in imitation of Chiro's Inner Primate.
* BerserkButton: He goes bonkers whenever someone calls or treats him like a madman, which ironically only reinforces other people's negative opinion of him.
* TheBusCameBack: He is imprisoned in the prison on Ranger 7, but returns in Season 4 and [[spoiler:captures Chiro and the Robot Monkeys in his mind using a matter-to-brainwave conversion device he invented called the Neuro-Matter Reconfigutron.]]
* TheCape: [[LoonyFan He very much isn't a hero]], but his superhero outfit early in his second appearance is very evocative of this, especially when he uses his new powers to give himself an exaggerated HeroicBuild.
* ComboPlatterPowers: What he openly claims to have in his second appearance, but he's really just warping the [[spoiler: mental]] world around him to gain them.
--> '''Krinkle:''' I've gained quite a few new abilities since our last encounter, Chiro...
* DrearyHalfLiddedEyes: His half-lidded eyes make him look permanently gloomy.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: He doesn't understand that his insane villainous actions are why the Hyperforce dislike him.
* {{Expy}}: He's a dead ringer for Norman Bates from ''Film/{{Psycho}}''. Raised by an AbusiveMom, villainous stalking, talks to himself a lot, and doesn't take no as an answer.
* FreudianExcuse: When asked by Chiro on why he became so obsessed with the Hyperforce, he sadly explained how he was raised by a robot mother. While good for sharpening his vast intellect, it also apparently traumatized him, rendering him feeling constantly alone and helpless. The lack of familial warmth made him long for importance and a family of his own. Later he discovered the Hyperforce and saw his chance at being loved, admired, and a part of a family, making him obsessed with being part of the team regardless of what he had to do to make it so.
* GadgeteerGenius: He can give Otto a run for his money, being able to nearly defeat the team twice with his gadgets alone. Like [[spoiler: inventing a machine that can convert matter into thought.]]
* HandBlast: One of his "new abilities" in his second appearance, with both unnamed blue energy blasts he attacks Chiro with at first, then later his "Krinkle Fu" once he starts copying Chiro.
* HeroicBuild: Taken up to eleven in his second episode, as he shows off his "new abilities" and uses them to transform his own body to look like a muscular comic book superhero.
* LastNameBasis: Everyone calls him by his last name.
* LeanAndMean: He's tall and skinny, and a completely bonkers stalker to the Hyperforce.
* LoonyFan: He's a massive fan of the Hyperforce and wants to join them, with a warped perception on how to do it.
* MaddenIntoMisanthropy:
--> '''Chiro:''' [[YoureInsane You're a lunatic, Krinkle! You need help!]]
--> '''Krinkle:''' No! That's what everyone says! You're just like all the rest! I'm sick of humanity!
* MadScientist: He's clearly utterly mad, but he's one hell of an inventor.
* MentalWorld: In his second appearance, he has created a device that allows him to create a mental realm where he creates his own {{Egopolis}} modeled after Shuggazoom, which he calls Krinklezoom. He can also trap the Hyperforce them there and create fake battles against the Skeleton King's army for fun.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: [[spoiler: After the Hyperforce escapes from his mind, Krinkle disappears into the Neuro-Matter Reconfiguration seconds before the machine explodes and is never seen again. It's implied he's now permanently trapped inside his own mental world.]]
* NoSell: Another of his "new abilities" in his second appearance, he is completely unaffected by being hit with both of Chiro's standard energy attacks in quick succession, both of which are usually quite powerful on their own.
* ParodySue: While within his mental realm, he attacks with copies of several of Chiro's core battle movies, and wears his costume for that part of the episode (as well as briefly becoming [[WreathedInFlames "Flaming Krinkle"]]).
* RaisedByRobots: He was raised by a robot mother.
* RealityWarper: In his second appearance, his true power within his own mental realm is to alter his created reality as he wishes.
* StalkerWithoutACrush: He obsessively stalks the Hyperforce and tries to convince them to let him join the team, whether they like it or not. He has brainwashed the monkeys to replace Chiro as team leader. After his first failure, he kidnaps the Hyperforce inside his own MentalWorld.
* TheTeamWannabe: He wants to be on the Hyperforce, but that won't ever happen anywhere but in his own demented fantasy.
* VisualPun: ''Weaponized'' to defeat him in his second appearance, as [[spoiler: his insane mind cracks while fighting the Hyperforce within it, and attacking the cracks is the only way to deal meaningful damage to him or his world.]]
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Isn't used much, but it's one of his abilities in his second appearance, and how he achieves his aforementioned HeroicBuild and [[WreathedInFlames Flaming Krinkle]] forms.

An Artificial Intelligence whose colony was destroyed by Skeleton King, and is now bent on destroying anyone and everything that ever had contact with Skeleton King, including the Hyperforce. After being destroyed, he's fused with TV Monster and creates the Skeleton King Droid.
-----
* AIIsACrapshoot: He's a ship's computer that became infected by a virus from the TV Monster, resulting in the creation of the killing machine known as the Skeleton King Droid.
* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: He sends most of the Hyperforce to be disposed in the junkyard, but he keeps Antauri, the only monkey that is completely robotic, as a prisoner because he plans to download his wisdom and take it into himself.
* FantasticRacism: He considers all organic lifeforms should be destroyed and only machines should be allowed to exist.
* GreenAndMean: It's an [[AIIsACrapshoot evil A.I.]] that appears as a green man's face.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: As Antauri points out, his hatred and desire to exterminate anything and anyone associated with the Skeleton King caused him to become infected by the TV Monster and be turned into something as evil as the Skeleton King.
* MechanicalLifeform: It's a massive spaceship run by an Artificial Intelligence whose colony was destroyed by Skeleton King.
* MisplacedRetribution: His machine race's colony was destroyed by the Skeleton King Worm. However, instead of seeking revenge against the actual perpetrator, he kidnaps and attempts to kill the Hyperforce, who had no part or fault in what happened to the colony, for no reason other than them being associated with the Skeleton King. He doesn't even care that the Skeleton King is their worst enemy and their goal is to destroy him.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: In comparison to the other characters on the show, VX 808 has a rather realistic humanoid face.

A genie-like alien creature who appears before the Hyperforce promising to grant their hearts with three wishes. He is set free when the three wishes are granted.
-----
* BeardOfEvil: He's a JackassGenie with a goatee.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: He has purple eyes and pink sclera.
* GreenAndMean: He looks like a green goblin and is certainly malicious in his wish-granting.
* JackassGenie: He tricks and manipulates the Hyperforce into making three wishes, but it's all a trap as he only seeks to be released from his prison. He also grants wishes in the most undesirable ways possible; he creates an army to invade the Super Robot when Chiro asks for something interesting to happen, he makes Otto into a super genius to grant Gibson's accidental wish, which only leaves Gibson devastated at not being the smartest monkey anymore, and finally, he gives Sprx a Wigglenog-killing bazooka that turns out to be a mere prank because one of the rules is that no wish can be used to harm the Wigglenog.
* PointyEars: He's a magical alien being with pointy ears.
* RealityWarper: Genie powers enable him to shape the world according to wishes.
* RhetoricalRequestBlunder: "Purposefully or with a doubt, a wish is a wish when spoken out."
* SealedEvilInACan: He's trapped in a cosmic prison and can only be freed when he grants three wishes.
* ShapeshiftingSeducer: He transforms into a hot mermaid to seduce Sprx and tries to get him to make a wish, but the rest of the Hyperforce forces him to reveal his true form.
* ShapeshiftingSquick:
** Sprx is smitten when Wigglenog comes on to him in mermaid form. After Wigglenog reveals his true form as a goblin-like genie, Sprx looks disgusted, ''especially'' since the Wigglenog [[AlmostKiss almost kissed him]].
** Wigglenog also uses illusions to make Chiro think he's hugging Jinmay, only for Chiro to get grossed out when he realizes he actually has the Wigglenog in his arms.
* SleepModeSize: His initial small form is a result of the seal placed on his powers. After being released by the Hyperforce, he grows much bigger and bulkier.
* TheTrickster: He uses his RealityWarper and {{Shapeshifting}} powers to play crazy tricks on the Hyperforce, making them question their own sanity in the process.
* {{Wishplosion}}: Otto outsmarts the Wigglenog and wishes the Hyperforce never met him after faking him out with three new wishes.

Now a disembodied brain, Professor Jakus Maezono was one of the human scientists who worked on the Prometheus Project and assisted in the creation of the Super Robot (the third individual heavily implied to be the Alchemist). He wanted to transfer his consciousness into the Prometheus Five model, thus allowing him to live forever as the ultimate super-weapon. Dr. Takeuchi, his friend and fellow scientist attempted to stop him but was killed in the process.
-----
* BaldOfEvil: Back when he was human, he was bald and just as evil.
* BrainInAJar: He currently only exists as a disembodied brain inside a jar.
* BrainUploading: {{Defied|Trope}}. Professor Maezono built robots only to find the perfect mechanical body to plant his own consciousness into, but his plans got ruined when Dr. Takeuchi stopped him from transferring his conscious to Prometheus V.
* CardCarryingVillain: He's an evil scientist and proud of it.
* DeadPersonImpersonation: He pretends to be the deceased Dr. Takeuchi when he meets the Hyperforce.
* DevilInPlainSight: A creepy-looking BrainInAJar certainly doesn't look like a trustworthy source of information, but the Hyperforce don't try to question anything and just believe him when he tells them to destroy Prometheus V. After they clear previous misunderstandings, Prometheus V lampshades how the Hyperforce completely failed to realize who is the obvious villain.
* TheDisembodied: He used to be human, but his body got destroyed. Now, he's just a BrainInAJar.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: When he was human, he was a MadScientist with glasses.
* ImmortalitySeeker: The fruit of his research was to enable him to live forever in a robotic body.
* MadScientist: He created powerful robots and turned himself into a BrainInAJar, all for delusions of immortality.
* ManipulativeBastard: He tricks the Hyperforce into thinking Prometheus V is the bad guy.
* UnreliableExpositor: He lies to the Hyperforce about his own identity, claiming to be his deceased colleague Dr. Takeuchi, and fills them in a version of his backstory that painted Prometheus V as evil. Then, Prometheus V reveals they have been tricked and Professor Maezono is really an evil MadScientist who tried to steal his robotic body to achieve immortality.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He manages to escape right before the Super Robot and Slingshot can corner him and get answers out of him. Slingshot says he will chase after Maezono in space, but he's never seen again.

-----
* BadassBiker: They're evil biker kidnappers.
* BizarreAlienBiology: Squash is a minor example. She looks like a big furry worm, but underneath that coat of fur, she's surprisingly humanoid and has a curvaceous figure.

* TheChooserOfTheOne: They chose Valeena to be Skeleton King's temporary successor and they're the reason she became as evil as she is.
* EvilAllAlong: For the first three seasons, they served primarily as friendly background characters, and their personalities didn't range far beyond "token kindly old couple." Come season four, they're revealed to have been the leaders of a cult that worshiped the show's main villain the entire time.
* EvilOldFolks: They're elderly citizens of Shuggazoom City and Season 4 reveals they're the leaders of an evil cult.
* LukeIAmYourFather: They are revealed to be Valeena's parents.
* MilkmanConspiracy: An evil cult that worships Skeleton King turns out to be led by none other than the elderly owners of the local arcade.
* MiniatureSeniorCitizens: Ma is half most of the human characters' size, seeing as how short she is compared to Pa, Chiro and Valeena.
* NewJobAsThePlotDemands: For the majority of their appearances, they're seen running the local ice cream shop. In "Secret Society," they're inexplicably running the arcade.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: At first, they look too weak and benevolent to put up a fight, but since they lead the Skeletal Circle, they've got quite the power on their hands.
* OneWingedAngel: They use Skeleton King's power to turn themselves into monsters.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: Last we hear of them, they have been sent to prison and are presumably still alive in the Season 4 finale. Meanwhile, their only daughter Valeena is killed by the Skeleton King right after she successfully brings him back to life.
* PunnyName: "Pa Sheenko" is a pun on pachinko, a Japanese mechanical game that is much more frequently used for gambling.
* UnholyMatrimony: Both evil and HappilyMarried.
* WalkingSpoiler: Considering the kindly looking citizens that we've been seeing since season one are being lumped in the ''villains'' folder, yeah.

** The Dark One Worm [[spoiler: hatched from planet Shuggazoom]] is purple-white on the outside, and uses bright purple tendrils, while having a sometimes-flashing/constantly-shifting, rainbow aesthetic to its throat, innards, and some of its powers and abilities. In this case, they serve to highlight its [[EldritchAbomination eldritch, otherworldly]] nature.
* TheCorrupter: They can corrupt planets into {{Death World}}s and corrupt people into villains.
* EldritchAbomination: They're the spawn and the servants of a malevolent force with the intention to erase the existence itself.
* GreaterScopeVillain: They are far and away more dangerous than Skeleton King and responsible for his existence. But he's the one who the heroes deal with and one of them, a giant worm, becomes a major threat in season 3.

King of the kingdom in the planet Tolomac 3. The word Tolomac itself is Camelot spelled backwards and slightly different.
-----
* InkSuitActor: When you think about it, he looks like his voice actor, even though he looks more like a lion.
* {{Knighting}}: He calls Super Robot the "Square-Headed Knight" and officially names him a knight.

* PrincessesPreferPink: She's a princess wearing a pink dress.

A pair of teenage girls that Chiro seemingly rescues from a monster. However, instead of taking them to the Super Robot, they convince him to go and have some fun. They are actually shapeshifter aliens and the monster they are running away from is their father.
-----
* BrattyTeenageDaughter: They pretend to be [[DamselInDistress damsels in distress]], but they're actually two bratty teenagers doing every dirty move it takes to get away from their father, go have fun, and cause trouble for everyone in the family along the way.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Their hair colors match their eye colors (pink for Surthanna and blue for Korlianne).
* {{Cyclops}}: Their true forms have a single eye.
* FacialMarkings: Surthanna's human form has rectangular marks on her cheeks.
* GirlishPigtails: Korlianne's human form is a cute teenage girl with blue pigtails.
* GogglesDoNothing: Surthanna's human form wears goggles over her head, but she never puts them on and these disappear in her true form.
* GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe: Their disguise is two attractive pink and blue skinned girls.
* HotInHumanForm: They take the form of very pretty human girls, but their true forms look like ugly octopus-like cyclopes.
* MadeASlave: They say a monster enslaved them. Subverted since they're lying and the "monster" is actually their father who won't let them go have fun outside.
* ManipulativeBitch: They pretend to be helpless victims who were enslaved by a monster to make Chiro protect them from the monsters chasing them. In reality, the monsters are actually their father and other family members, and they're just using Chiro to run away from home and party it up.
* ShapeshiftingSquick: Their true forms are not so appealing to Chiro, but he still says they look nice to not offend them.
* StarfishAliens: Their true form is squid-like alien cyclops.
* TheTease: Both of them spend their episode teasing their 'hero'.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: They can freely change form between GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe and StarfishAliens.
* YouthfulFreckles: Korlianne's human form is a teenage girl with freckled cheeks.

The alien monster that supposedly kept Surthanna and Korlianne as slaves. In reality, he is their father and asks the robot monkey to get his daughters back after they run off with Chiro.
-----
* BlackBeadEyes: His human form has black dots for eyes, which makes him stand out since most characters have BigAnimeEyes.
* {{Cyclops}}: His true form has a single huge eye.
* GoodAllAlong: At first, Surthanna and Korlianne claim he is an evil monster and he appears to be using shapeshifting to trick the robot monkeys. Turns out Surthanna and Korlianne were lying the whole time and Ciracus is actually a worried father who just wants his daughters to come back home.
* StarfishAliens: He looks like a squid-like alien cyclops in his true form.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: He can shapeshift into a human to make the monkeys trust him more easily.

A mysterious entity the Hyperforce encounters after getting lost in a wormhole and ending up in the Macrocosm. Part of a race called the Sentient. He is able to communicate with the Super Robot.
-----
* DeusExMachina: After the Hyperforce gets lost in a wormhole and Nova goes missing, The Being randomly appears to bring them all back to the Dark One Worm.
* GreaterScopeParagon: He seems to be a greater force of good for the universe.
* SentientCosmicForce: The Being only appears as a bright light in the distance of the infinite outer space, yet it's clearly sentient and can talk.
