[[header:The Jedi Order (Rise of the Empire-era)]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jedi_order.png]]

[[Literature/DarthBane After the Battle of Ruusan and the supposed final destruction of the Sith Empire]], the [[Characters/StarWarsRiseOfTheEmpireEraRepublic Galactic Republic]] and the Jedi Order both underwent reforms to adapt to a galaxy without constant galactic war. However, the Jedi would eventually stagnate and the [[Characters/StarWarsRiseOfTheEmpireEraSith Sith]] would return. The Jedi eventually found themselves forced back onto the battlefield during the Clone Wars, only to be mostly wiped out by Darth Sidious, who manipulated the clone army into turning against the Jedi and helping him establish the First Galactic Empire.

[[folder:In general]]

* AchillesInHisTent: They did this a lot in the distant past, sitting out a good thousand years of a fascistic theocracy ruling the Republic wondering whether or not to get involved. When they finally did, they helped end said theocracy.
* ActionPolitician: During the Republic Dark Ages, there was a long time where the Supreme Chancellor was exclusively a Jedi.
* AesopAmnesia: No matter how many times they get reduced to rubble, then rebuild, they never learn that positive emotions are ''okay'', it's just the bad ones you should try and avoid.
* BadassArmy: Actually had an army one thousand years before ''A New Hope'', the Army of Light. After the Ruusan Reformation, they disbanded it, partly to help allay concerns about the Jedi ruling the Republic.
* ChildSoldiers: By the time of the New Sith Wars, they were getting so desperate for troops they were taking in any Force potential kids they could find. If it hadn't been for Bane, this might've led to bad stuff later on. Afterwards, the Ruusan Reformation made it a rule they would only take in younglings to avoid this kind of thing.
* CreateYourOwnVillain: A '''''major''''' offender. Nearly every major dark side user in history is a fallen Jedi of some kind. Even when the Jedi start getting wise to this, they never actually find a way to ''prevent'' it. Hell, the very existence of the Sith Order came about because the Jedi decided to spare a handful who fell. And, of course, there's Darth Vader...
* GoodIsNotNice: "Guardians of peace and justice" they may be, but they can be arseholes about what they do. By the time of the prequel trilogy, standard Jedi recruitment policy was to ''take'' children from their families, occasionally without even asking, and if the kids wash out of training (or get kicked out), rather than, say, send them home, ship their asses off to some no-name planet to work as farmers.
* HomeworldEvacuation: They started off on the planet Typhon, which they abandoned once or twice. The first time came around because it was too far into the Deep Core to make travel to and fro a viable option (the hyperlane collapsed). By the time of ''The Old Republic'', they briefly resettled, but eventually left it again some time after, and this time for good. By the time of Bane, it's a GhostPlanet.
* KnightTemplar: When it comes to the Sith. And not without justification. Though some Jedi have been known to get a little too pre-emptive about it, and there comes the Dark Side.
* LaserBlade: The lightsaber.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: After the events of the New Sith Wars, the Order gathered up every bit of knowledge on the Sith they could and hid it. This had the unintentional side-effect of ''helping'' Bane's Sith hide, and after a thousand years meant they'd faded out of common knowledge, so by the time Sidious showed up, it just made the Jedi look like they were chasing after windmills.
* ThePurge: Happens to them a lot.
* TheStoic: The Jedi way teaches detachment. Actual success rates may vary.
* UnwittingPawn: For Sidious, who sets them up for a fall. No matter what choice they took in the Clone Wars, they lost.
* YouAreNotReady: The Jedi Archives on Coruscant had restrictions preventing padawans from getting access to them, in order to prevent outbreaks of Sith.

----
* AcePilot: She is one of the best pilots in the Jedi Order.
-->Her response time was amazingly fast, and her feel for her craft was instinctive. If anyone could lose four starfighters without risking damage to their craft, it was Adi.

A Vurk Jedi chosen to join the Council in-between ''The Phantom Menace'' and ''Attack of the Clones''. Famed for his diplomatic skill, Trebor was present at the Battle of Geonosis where he tried to kill Count Dooku. Catching the Sith Lord by surprise, Trebor was himself ambushed by Jango Fett, who killed the Jedi Master.

For tropes on his portrayal in the reboot continuity, see Characters/StarWarsJediCouncil.
----
* {{Ambadassador}}: All Jedi are this to one degree or another, but Trebor was notable even for a Jedi, with his main talents lying in the diplomatic arena.
* InTheBack: Tried to take Dooku from behind and was himself shot in the back by Jango.
* LaserBlade: Wields a green-bladed lightsaber.
* LeeroyJenkins: During the Battle of Geonosis, he attempts to attack Count Dooku without any backup. While Dooku seems surprised by his appearance, Trebor is so focused on killing Dooku he does not notice Jango, who manages to get the drop on him.
* LizardFolk: His species, the Vurks, were modelled after the well-known hadrosaurid ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasaurolophus Parasaurolophus]]''.
* RedShirt: He has no lines, and exists for Jango to kill and help establish how skilled he is.
* SdrawkcabName: "Trebor" is the reverse of Robert, which is a reference to Robert Coleman, an employee at Industrial Light & Magic.
* StoneWall: Like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Trebor was a master of Soresu, the defensive style, though his talents ultimately failed him against Jango Fett's QuickDraw.
* TheWorfEffect: He is a Jedi Master on the Jedi Council, but he gets almost effortlessly taken down by Jango Fett.

Once one of Mace Windu's most accomplished students, Depa Billaba was the daughter that the Jedi Master never had. Unfortunately, following her deployment to Haruun Kal early in the Clone Wars, Depa snapped and went mad. Falling under the influence of tribal leader Kar Vastor, Depa butchered civilians as part of her plan to drive the Separatists out, railing about how in order to defeat their enemies and save the Republic, the Jedi would have to descend to the level of their enemies.

For tropes on her portrayal in the reboot continuity, see Characters/StarWarsJediCouncil.
----
* AxeCrazy: Violently and dangerously insane.
* BigBadDuumvirate: With Kar Vastor, she serves as one for ''Shatterpoint''.
* CaptainErsatz: She's a DistaffCounterpart to ''Heart of Darkness''' Kurtz.
* DarkActionGirl: Like any fallen female Jedi, Depa is one of these by default.
* DeathSeeker: Tries to force Mace to kill her during their duel in ''Shatterpoint''.
* DrivenToSuicide: Tries to kill herself in a moment of lucidity at the end of the novel, but is stopped by Mace's aide, Nick.
* FinalSolution: She and Vastor attempt a genocide against the Balawai capital, aiming to kill all four hundred thousand people who live there as part of their campaign of ethnic cleansing.
* GoingNative: What she thinks she's done, though in the end she's more vicious than any of the Korun or Balawai of Haruun Kal.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: A particularly horrible example.
* LadyOfWar: She used to be one, but by the time of ''Shatterpoint'', her insanity has robbed her of her grace and femininity, though not her ferocity.
* MasterSwordsman: A gender-inverted example. She's just as good as, if not ''better than,'' Mace Windu himself.
* TheMentallyIll: In ''Shatterpoint'', Depa is very, very sick, and Kar Vastor's influence is not helping. By the end of the novel, she's fallen into a coma as her ability to deal with reality totally collapses.
* APupilOfMineUntilHeTurnedToEvil: She was Mace's Padawan.
* ShellShockedVeteran: Depa is beyond help, driven completely mad by war trauma and guilt over her own actions.
* SociopathicSoldier: A Type IV who sees no difference between civilians and soldiers.

* DeadpanSnarker
* DualWielding: Uses two yellow bladed lightsabers.
* HeroicSacrifice: During the Yinchorri Uprising, he gets mortally wounded and stays behind to buy the rest of the Jedi strike team time to escape by destroying a Yinchorri army by using his lightsaber to blow up a fuel tank.
* TakingYouWithMe
* TheTrickster: Enjoys playing tricks on Padawans, usually to get them to stop relying entirely on the Force and use their heads and other senses as well. Other displays of cunning include using the Force to manually launch escape pods that can only be operated from the inside, distracting enemies who don't know about Jedi telekinesis, and basically anything he does or plans in the LighterAndSofter story "Jedi Chef."

A Thisspiasian Jedi Master on the Council during the blockade of Naboo and the Clone Wars.

For tropes on his portrayal in the reboot continuity, see Characters/StarWarsJediCouncil.
----
* InTheBack: Sora Bulq killed him this way.
* NonLethalWarfare: Rancisis was a master of malacia, a Force technique where a force user would put an opponent's bodily equilibrium out of balance (often causing the target to vomit) as a means of non-fatally incapacitating them.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: At the time of the Blockade of Naboo, Rancisis was 174 years old.
* SnakePeople: He is a Thisspiasian, a long-lived snakelike species.
* TheStrategist: Of the Jedi Council, he was recognized as being the best at military strategy.
%%* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: He has yet to receive a official canon fate.

[[folder:Plo Koon]]
!!Plo Koon
[[quoteright:299:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/plo_koon_swfb.png]]
For tropes on his portrayal in the reboot continuity, see Characters/StarWarsJediCouncil.
----
* TheAce: A rather plot-irrelevant one in the grand scheme, but yes. He knows a wider variety of force-abilities than most (including light-sided Force Lightning in the form of Electric Judgement, and powers with regards to manipulating the environment), his lightsaber skills managed to give him a win in a sparring match against ''Yoda'' (which both Dooku and Mace Windu never achieved), and has knowledge of the force outside of the Jedi arts in the form of Baron Do. He has also beat Asajj Ventress 'with a broken arm' and was considered a WorthyOpponent by Darth Maul. By the time of his death, he could fairly be considered the fourth (Anakin, Yoda and the very-recently-deceased Mace Windu) or fifth (Obi-Wan Kenobi) most powerful Jedi alive, and it's more than fair to say that had he not been in that starfighter unable to use the force, and not been caught off guard, he likely could've survived Order 66.
* ShockAndAwe: He developed a form of Force lightning that doesn't draw from the Dark Side known as "Electric Judgment" or "Emerald Lightning".[[note]]Though it's [[NonIndicativeName actually yellow, not green]][[/note]]
* TheUnintelligible: [[EarlyInstallmentWeirdness Some early sources portray him as being unable to speak Galactic Basic]], much to the frustration of his own clone officers, before it was established that he could.

[[folder:Saesee Tiin]]
!!Saesee Tiin

For tropes on his portrayal in the reboot continuity, see Characters/StarWarsJediCouncil.
----
* AcePilot: One of the Jedi Order's best pilots, with the possible exception of Anakin.
* BashBrothers: With Mace Windu.
* IWorkAlone: He was one of the few Jedi to attain the rank of Master and be on the Jedi Council without ever having formally trained a Padawan.
* TheQuietOne: He's very shy, thanks to being a loner as a child because of his strong telepathy.
* StrongAndSkilled: A master telepath who's spent decades refining his abilities.
* {{Telepathy}}: Saesee is a natural telepath, even for a Jedi.
* TheWorfEffect: Falls victim to this, along with Kit Fisto and Agen Kolar.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Shaak Ti]]
!!Shaak Ti
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shaak_ti_official_pix.jpg]]
For tropes on her portrayal in the reboot continuity, see Characters/StarWarsJediCouncil.
----
* ActionGirl: Her numerous feats of skill throughout the franchise cement her as one of the most powerful Jedi in the order.
* TheBeastmaster: On Felucia, she tames the native villagers and local fauna to do her bidding, including Rancors and even a humungous Sarlacc pit.
* TheDeterminator: In ''Clone Wars'', she does everything in her power to defend Chancellor Palpatine from Grievous and his [=MagnaGuards=].
* GeniusBruiser: She's regarded as a highly intelligent and cunning Jedi with many tricks up her sleeve.
* MyGreatestFailure: She ultimately fails to protect the Chancellor from Grievous during the Battle of Coruscant despite putting up one hell of a fight, though she never realises until long afterwards that Palpatine was intent on allowing himself to be captured all along.
* SavedByCanon: ZigZagged, as she was originally scripted to die onscreen in ''Revenge of the Sith'', though all of her scenes were cut in the finalised film. Interestingly, there were at least two filmed death scenes, one by General Grievous's blade aboard the ''Invisible Hand'', and one by the fresh Lord Vader's in the Jedi Temple. Since both scenes were deleted, she was fair game to be included as a boss in ''The Force Unleashed'', which depicts her eventual demise against Starkiller on planet Felucia. In the current Disney continuity, it seems she simply died during Order 66 like most Jedi.
* ShutUpHannibal: She gives a poignant one to Starkiller before diving into the Sarlacc pit, calling him a foolish boy for believing that his Sith masters won't eventually betray him.
* YouShallNotPass: She bravely decides to stay behind in a tunnel to face down a whole legion of [=MagnaGuards=]. Even though a single one can give any Jedi a hard time, Shaak Ti manages to survive the onslaught and destroy several singlehanded.

----
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's a very kind and gentle Jedi who enjoys spending time with younglings, but, well, see below.
* TheCollector: She enjoys collecting trinkets, and has too many to fit in a single room.
* HeroicSacrifice: She saved Anakin from a small, but powerful bomb in the book ''Jedi Quest: The Shadow Trap''. This, ultimately, lead to her death.
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: Spending a ''century'' as a prisoner in a barren, underground pit, with no one to talk to, and infrequent food deliveries did not break her spirit or commitment to the Light Side, and upon finally getting out, her fast act was to help the descendants of her jailers rather than hate them.
* TheMentor: To many Jedi as younglings.
* NeverMessWithGranny: Hundreds of years old she may be, but she's a master of the Force.
* ThrownDownAWell: When she was a padawan, spending over a century as a prisoner there before escaping.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's kind and gentle, but as Obi-Wan notes, Council seats aren't exactly handed out as party favours.
* EnemyMine: At one point, teams up with Zam Wesell and Jango Fett.
* HeroicSacrifice: Absorbs the energy of a giant bomb to save Coruscant.
* JediMindTrick: An expert at these.
* LongNeck: He provides the page image for the trope. In fact, this is the out-of-universe reason for his absence in ''Film/AttackOfTheClones'' -- Lucas didn't want anyone confusing him with the somewhat similar-looking Kaminoans.

An Ithorian Jedi Master who famously helped Shaak Ti defend Chancellor Palpatine from General Grievous during the Battle of Coruscant.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: He fares substantially better in the ''Clone Wars'' animated miniseries compared to his literary counterpart in ''Labyrinth of Evil''. In the book's version of events, Corobb is unceremoniously fodderised by Grievous alongside several other Jedi. In the cartoon, he endures a gripping chase across the city, destroying several [=MagnaGuards=] and halting Grievous with his trademark Force shout along the way. He puts up such a good fight that Grievous is forced to unleash four lightsabers to finally beat him.
* TheDanza: Based on the costume designer for the Ithorian in ''A New Hope'', Ron Cobb.
* MakeMeWannaShout: Ithorians naturally have powerful voices because they have four throats, but Master Corobb can enhance his bellows with the Force to create devastating shockwaves.
* OhCrap: He and Foul Moudama silently have this reaction when [[MultiArmedAndDangerous Grievous reveals an extra pair of arms.]] He also has this reaction after the ChainsawGood noises in Chapter 24 stop, repeatedly pressing the "call" button for the nearby elevator.
* PerpetualFrowner: He seems to constantly have a mean expression.
* ThoseTwoGuys: In the 2003 cartoon, he and Foul Moudama act as Shaak Ti's support, though Corobb gets more focus. They both even die at the same time against Grievous. Their out-of-universe connection is that they were both runners-up in a poll by Cartoon Network to introduce new Jedi based on aliens from the Mos Eisley cantina. Ironically, they have more screentime than the winner of that poll, Voolvif Monn.

In ''[[WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars The Clone Wars]]'', Barriss instead became disillusioned with the Jedi Order after her knighting. 718A fine duelist and a prized Padawan pupil of Jedi Master Cin Drallig. During the Clone Wars, she served as a general. In one incident, aboard the Brink of the Celestial Wake space station, a blob monster forced her and Anakin to destroy the station and flee. During Order 66, she and her former master fought Vader together, but both died, with Serra getting crushed by a pillar.

-->'''Serra:''' That's two more for me!\
'''Cin Drallig:''' Since when do we keep score?
* BraidsOfAction: Sports a fairly short pair of them.
* CassandraTruth: She is initially ignored after telling Anakin they need to abandon the station and destroy it to avoid the threat during her ''Clone Wars Adventures'' appearance.
* CombatParkour: Serra does a lot of graceful leaping and flipping in battle, making her pretty hard to hit.
* DeadpanSnarker
* DualWielding: She dual-wields, and from the sounds of it, she's quite proficient at it.
* {{Expy}}: Perhaps a [[Characters/StarWarsAhsokaTano certain someone]] may be based off of Serra. Snarky, bold, and with an attitude, but is otherwise nice, selfless, and a skilled student? Check. Keeping score with her master of their own {{Mook}} kills in the midst of a battle to lighten up the mood? Check. Dual-wielding green lightsabers in a brown outfit? Check. Similar voices? Check.
* FightingYourFriend: ''Clone Wars Adventures'' reveals that Anakin and Serra were FireForgedFriends in a battle against multiplying blob creatures on a derelict space station, and they even had a bit of flirtation going on. Unfortunately, their past doesn't stop Anakin from mercilessly cutting her down during Order 66, and she doesn't seem particularly bothered about fighting the monster he'd became either.
* FireForgedFriends: Spends much of her ''Clone Wars Adventures'' appearance frustrated with Anakin over their differing strategies in combating the threat but after he does save their lives and achieve the objective at the end, she does smile a bit and compliment him.
* HeroAntagonist: An objective of the game is to kill her while attacking the Jedi Temple, while she has the admirable goal of trying to defend it and save her fellow Jedi. Depending on the luck and skill of the player it's even possible for her to defeat Vader in the level.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: During her "Clone Wars Adventures" appearance she's barely survived an attack by a blob creature that wiped out scores of clones and at least one other Jedi and when Anakin arrives wants to get out of there and destroy the space station (which is what they eventually end up doing), something Anakin doesn't immediately agree to.
* LaserBlade: Her lightsaber colors are green.
* MauveShirt: You get a glimpse of her personality and backstory in the ''Revenge of the Sith'' video game, but that's it. She also gets a ''Clone Wars Adventures'' issue, but that doesn't add much either.
* MoodDissonance: She has no problem cutting down Clone Troopers and ''keeping score of how many she kills'' during the Order 66 invasion of the Jedi Temple, like this is another fight against battle droids. You'd think that maybe she'd at least feel a little grief over the fact that the people she's worked with for the past couple of years have turned against her and the Jedi Order, though then again, maybe that's not something the clones reciprocate (or she's just compartmentalising).
* OneSteveLimit: It's unclear if she's related to Satal, Aleema or any of the other Keto's descended from Empress Teta.
* WhatTheHellHero: During her fight with Anakin, she calls him a disgrace to the Jedi Order and that the Dark side will destroy him.

Ahsoka Tano is a female Togruta who was assigned as Anakin Skywalker's Padawan learner during the Clone Wars. Though Anakin was initially dismissive towards her, she grew under his mentorship from a headstrong young student into a mature leader. Ahsoka participated in several vital battles over the course of the war, earning the respect of her clone troopers, but after being framed for bombing the Jedi Temple and put on trial by the Republic, she left the Jedi Order.

For tropes on her portrayal in the reboot continuity, see Characters/StarWarsAhsokaTano.
----
* ActionDuo: She forms one with Lux in "A Friend in Need" with Lux being the ActionSurvivor to her ActionGirl.
* ActionGirl: She is a female Togruta who is a very skilled (now-former) Padawan learner and member of the Jedi Order.
* AdaptationalModesty: During the Zygerrian Slavers arc, Ahsoka is put in a rather [[GoGoEnslavement fanservice-y slave outfit]]. However, this outfit is very modest compared to the outfit from the comic book storyline the Zygerrian Slavers arc was adapted from, which was even more revealing than her default appearance in the first two and a half seasons of ''The Clone Wars''.
* AffectionateNickname:
** Anakin occasionally calls Ahsoka "Snips".
** Plo Koon occasionally calls her "Little 'Soka".
* AffirmativeActionGirl: ''The Clone Wars'' has a lot of {{Action Girl}}s, but Padmé was the only female character in the Prequel Trilogy with an active role.
* AgeInappropriateDress: As ''The Clone Wars''' most prominently featured female character, she's also the primary [[MsFanservice source of]] {{Fanservice}}, resulting in most of her outfits being quite questionable.
* AlienHair: Her horns and head-tails.
* AnimationAnatomyAging: In the PilotMovie and first two-and-a-half seasons, Ahsoka has disproportionately large eyes, a completely round face, horns that are only stubs, and headtails that barely reach beyond her shoulders. After the MidSeasonUpGrade during the third season via "Heroes on Both Sides", her eyes noticeably shrink, her face becomes longer and angled, her horns grow larger and curved, and her headtails reach the middle of her chest. Her adult self (briefly shown in "Overlords") has almond-shaped eyes, an oval face, very large horns, and headtails reaching to her thighs.
* TheApprentice: She's Anakin's Padawan during the time of ''The Clone Wars''.
* AudienceSurrogate: She has this role in ''The Clone Wars'' through being a young Padawan that is thrust into a world of adventure.
* BadassAdorable: She is this because her large eyes, voice, personality, general appearance, and small frame in comparison to the rest of the main characters make her very adorable. She can be cute yet badass in the course of the same episode. She even invokes it after she sees Seripas' true form:
-->'''Ahsoka:''' You don't have to ''look'' tough to ''be'' tough.
* BadassInDistress: She has been this more than a couple of times. It's mostly justified since she's just a Padawan learner and has the misfortune of running into opponents who are a match for even Jedi Masters. This is also justified because while she's badass, she's still in the middle of a galaxy-spanning war. War on any scale tends to be fairly hazardous even if you are a Jedi.
* BigBrotherWorship: Although she usually hides it with being snippy and snarky and is not afraid to argue with him if she feels he's wrong about something, she looks up to Anakin since she has the utmost trust in him. In fact, one of her greatest fears is disappointing him.
* BigEgoHiddenDepths: A few scenes in the PilotMovie and several episodes focusing on her has shown that her initial brash, snippy, and overconfident attitude is merely a facade to hide how insecure she feels regarding her status as Anakin's apprentice.
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: It becomes particularly clear in "Heroes on Both Sides", where she sums up the war as "the Separatists are evil and they (the Republic and the Jedi) must stop them". She can't grasp the idea of why the Senate is wasting time debating bank-(de)regulations. After meeting Mina and Lux Bonteri, she realizes and invokes that the war is [[GrayingMorality not as black and white as she thought]].
* BrattyHalfPint: Ahsoka was this when she was first introduced, granting her the nickname "Snips" from her Master. She has mostly grown out of it by the time of season three.
* BreakTheCutie: Despite being an adorable PluckyGirl, the events of the Fugitive arc are just too much for Ahsoka. She gets framed for multiple murders, terrorism, and sedition; the Jedi Council abandons her and makes no effort to conduct their own investigation; the Senate Court (particularly [[InspectorJavert Tarkin]]) are more than happy to sentence her to death. On top of that, Anakin discovers that one of her friends (Barriss Offee) is the one who framed her. In the face of all this, she understandably refuses Yoda's offer to return to the Order despite the fact that they all but said outright they would promote her to Jedi Knight for putting up with all this crap. As she leaves the Temple, she sheds a SingleTear.
* CharacterDevelopment: Over the course of ''The Clone Wars'', she develops from a cheeky, stubborn, and rash girl into a serious, level-headed, and dependable young woman.
* ChildProdigy: Implied. The headdress Ahsoka wears is teeth of an akul, a large and destructive creature native to Shili. If you manage to kill one, then you get to wear its teeth as a trophy. Ahsoka has had hers since she was ''four-years-old''. Either this shows how skilled she was even then or the akul are more harmless than they sound.
* ClearMyName: This is her main goal during the Fugitive arc, though Anakin picks this up after Ahsoka's arrested. In the end, Anakin succeeds, but her trust in the Jedi Council is shattered, which prompts her to leave.
* CleavageWindow: Her second outfit has one. Although, it's a little too high to be a completely straight example.
* CommandingCoolness: When she became a Padawan, she was also given the rank of Jedi Commander.
* CoolBigSis: She acts as role model to Kalifa, O-Mer, and Jinx to a lesser extent. She also acts like this towards Prince Lee-Char.
* CostumeEvolution: In the PilotMovie and first two-and-a-half seasons of ''The Clone Wars'', she wears a tubetop and a skirt with white tights. Later in the second half of the third season of ''The Clone Wars'', she switches to a short red dress that evokes more of the conventional Jedi Order outfits while still being unique to her.
* CunningLinguist: In "Wookiee Hunt", she is able to understand Shyriiwook, something the younger trainees with her could not do. However, she doesn't understand a Twi'lek in "To Catch a Jedi".
* DamselOutOfDistress: During the Trandoshan arc, she's kidnapped by Trandoshans and thrown out into a jungle to be hunted down. She refuses to hide and run, and decides to fight back against the lizards.
* DatingCatwoman: She's attracted to Lux Bonteri, the son of a Separatist leader. Later, he becomes a rogue element.
* DavidVersusGoliath: During the climax of "Wookiee Hunt", she has to fight Garnac, the Trandoshan leader. The guy is 2 meters tall, weighs 178 kilograms, has a very thick reptilian hide, and is armed with an axe and a knife in addition to his claws, and his species are on the same scale of physical strength as Wookiees. All Ahsoka has is her WaifFu and skills with the Force.
* DeadpanSnarker: She seems to have picked this up from Anakin and Obi-Wan, neither of whom she is particularly averse to snarking at.
* DefectorFromDecadence: As a result of how the Jedi Order abandoned her when she had been framed for murder, Ahsoka decides not to return when given the offer.
* DesignatedVictim: She has a tendency of getting into ''real'' trouble very frequently. So far, she's been captured/kidnapped on six occasions, and the Fugitive arc has her accused of multiple homicides and terrorism/sedition.
* {{Deuteragonist}}: She is one of the secondary main characters of the ''The Clone Wars'' (the other one is Obi-Wan).
* DisneyDeath: The Son temporarily kills her after [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness she outlives her usefulness]]. Anakin and the Daughter bring her back by transferring the latter’s remaining life force to Ahsoka.
* DreamingOfThingsToCome: She foresees Aurra Sing's attempt to assassinate Padmé in her dreams in "Assassin" and has a vision of her adult self warning her about the darkness in Anakin in "Overlords." In "Wookiee Hunt", she dreams of Chewbacca's capture before the Trandoshans bring him to the planet.
* DualWielding: She has added a shoto (which is a short lightsaber) to her arsenal during the MidSeasonUpgrade between "Hunt for Ziro". and "Heroes on Both Sides" It doubles as a bit of ShownTheirWork as the offhand weapon is supposed to be shorter in RealLife martial arts.
* DudeMagnet: Besides a complicated romance with Lux, Ahsoka's attractiveness has been noted several times. Unfortunately, most of them were from slimey men.
* EffortlessAmazonianLift: In "Sabotage", after Anakin gets knocked out while piloting his starfighter and Artoo has to make a crash-landing on a too-short cliff, Ahsoka leaps over to his fighter, hoists him from it, and then jumps back to the cliff moments after the starfighter goes barreling off. This is especially impressive considering that she could barely lift him back in the season one episode "Jedi Crash".
* EmbarrassingNickname: The Mortis Arc reveals that Ahsoka hates it when Anakin calls her "Snips".
* EnsignNewbie: Lampshaded in the PilotMovie by Rex, who was quick to point out that even if she does outrank him, it doesn't make up for her lack of experience.
* FacialMarkings: This is the cool part of her alien physiology that morphs with maturity.
* FanservicePack: While she was already attractive from the beginning in ''The Clone Wars'', Ahsoka, being a teenager, understandably developed a more voluptuous yet athletic body after the MidSeasonUpgrade. Notably, while this trope is often accompanied by the character getting more {{Stripperiffic}}, since Ahsoka's first outfit was already ''very'' questionable, the model-change came with a more reserved yet form-fitting dress as her default outfit.
* FatalFlaw: Her overconfidence and drive to prove herself worthy of being Anakin's Padawan learner get her into situations well beyond her ability to handle a lot of time. She's also somewhat quick to make judgements, and she has the upmost trust towards Anakin, the Jedi Order, and the Republic itself, things that backfire ''very hard'' on her during the Fugitive arc.
* FormFittingWardrobe: Her second outfit looks very form-fitting. This makes one wonder how can she fit her head (which is quite a bit larger than a human's own due to her horns and head-tails) through the tight-looking neckpart of her shirt.
* FragileSpeedster: She's quick and agile, but initially she lacks in endurance.
* FriendToAllChildren: She is shown to be quite good with children through the way she takes care of Rotta (Jabba the Hutt’s infant son), rescues the force-sensitive infants from Mustafar, and repeatedly puts her life in risk to protect the younglings under her care.
* GenerationXerox: To Anakin; she has an attitude similar to his and lost her lightsaber once.
* GenkiGirl: She is especially this in the PilotMovie and first two and a half seasons. Precocious little thing!
* GirlyBruiser: She is very much this trope.
* GoGoEnslavement: During the Zygerrian Slavers arc, she is disguised as a slave girl and given a rather questionable BedlahBabe outfit that was even more revealing than her first one.
* GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe: More like "Orange-Skinned Space Babe". Ahsoka is a very attractive female Togruta.
* HelpingWouldBeKillStealing: She takes this role during the Onderon arc. With her assistance, the rebellion would have gone much more smoothly, but it would defeat the purpose of internal rebellion to have obvious outsider aid in the form of the Jedi.
* HiddenDepths: Ahsoka's brief sojourn to the Dark Side in "Altar of Mortis" implies that she is holding back quite a bit of frustration with Anakin's teaching methods as well as her perception that he doesn't trust or believe in her.
* HonorBeforeReason: In [[Recap/StarWarsTheCloneWarsS4E14AFriendInNeed "A Friend in Need"]], Ahsoka must have been perfectly aware that even if she did have her lightsabers, she would have had a rough time surviving a fight alone against the Death Watch. However, she attacked them with only a makeshift staff and her martial arts skills to protect [[BusFullOfInnocents the villagers.]]
* HornedHumanoid: Her horns grant her [[SuperSenses super effective hearing.]]
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: A platonic example with Anakin. Justified, as she is a teenager while he is a full-grown adult.
* HumanPopsicle: More like Togruta Popsicle. She [[https://78.media.tumblr.com/beed1ac92c1a4f5cff7f44cd1bda241b/tumblr_nad8f6zWYi1s6w6foo1_1280.jpg froze herself in carbonite]] in "The Citadel."
* HypocriticalHumor: She called Ventress (who apparently [[ImportantHaircut chose to be]] [[BaldOfEvil bald]]) a "hairless harpy" despite [[BizarreAlienBiology being naturally hairless]] herself.
* InnocentBlueEyes: They signify her youth and naïveté.
* InsigniaRipoffRitual: In "The Wrong Jedi", her Padawan braid is taken from her when she's expelled from the Jedi Order.
* InterspeciesRomance: She is a Togruta and has love interests in the form of Lux Bonteri and Nyx Okami, who are both human.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Ahsoka can be brash and arrogant, but she is also extremely compassionate and someone you can definitely rely on. She also starts to tone down the 'Jerk' part of her character and becomes more level-headed [[CharacterDevelopment over time.]]
* KidAppealCharacter: Ahsoka is this at the beginning of ''The Clone Wars'', but she grows out of this role as the series progresses.
* KnightKnaveAndSquire: She is the Squire to Obi-Wan's Knight and Anakin's Knave. She even invokes it in the PilotMovie when she tells Anakin that he's the one with experience from which she looks forward to learning from.
* TheLancer: To Anakin, a role she shares with Rex and occasionally Obi-Wan.
* LaserBlade: In ''The Clone Wars'', she wields a green-bladed lightsaber and later adds a yellow-bladed shoto to her arsenal.
* LikeBrotherAndSister: This is her usual dynamic with Anakin, despite being his Padawan. They also double as PlatonicLifePartners.
* LittleMissBadass: She is very young and inexperienced, but also quick-thinking and tough as nails.
* LovelyAngels: With Padmé whenever they team up in ''The Clone Wars''. Ahsoka is a [[CuteBruiser scrappy]] MagicKnight, while Padmé is an [[LadyOfWar elegant]] BadassNormal and ActionPolitician,. They have a sisterly relationship, with teenaged Ahsoka [[CoolBigSis looking up to]] Padmé.
* LoveTriangle: She gets caught in one with Lux and Steela (an Onderon freedom fighter) during the Onderon arc.
* MeaningfulName:
** "Ahsoka" means "sorrow-less" in Sanskrit, a reflection of her PluckyGirl status.
** "Tano" means "five" in Swahili. Ahsoka is the fifth generation of Jedi on the MasterApprenticeChain that she is the part of.
* MedalOfDishonor: In "The Wrong Jedi", after she's been cleared of all charges of sedition, terrorism and murder, she is offered a chance to return to the Order and it's implied that the Jedi Council is willing to knight her for the strength and resilience she had shown throughout the whole ordeal. Since they were the ones who expelled her from the Jedi Order, this comes off as a rather rude attempt to make up for it, and she refuses to even return to the Order.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: In the middle of Season 3, an unspecified TimeSkip updates her appearance alongside most of the cast. Ahsoka also picks up DualWielding, pushing it into this trope.
* MiniDressOfPower: Her first outfit consists of a truly ''tiny'' tube-top, and a skirt [[ProperTightsWithASkirt made safe by tights.]]
* MoralityChain: To Anakin. She helps keeps his rash nature in check, and it's the moments when she's in danger where he comes the closest to using the Dark Side.
* MsFanservice: All the examples of AgeInappropriateDress should make this abundantly clear.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: Over the course of ''The Clone Wars'', she has displayed feats of physical strength belying her stature numerous times, such as when she defeated Cad Bane and Atai Moleck along with when [[EffortlessAmazonianLift she pulls up the much larger Obi-Wan]] who was hanging from a cliff. It could be justified due to the Force.
* MySignificanceSenseIsTingling: After her first dreams about Aurra Sing attempting to kill Padmé, she is also able to sense the danger to the senator while awake. This includes sensing Aurra’s location twice, which allows her to save Padmé on both occasions.
* TheNicknamer: She initially called Anakin "Skyguy" and referred to R2 as "Artooie". She grew out of it fairly quickly.
* NoodleIncident: According to AllThereInTheManual regarding the headdress, those are teeth of an akul, a large and destructive creature native to Shili. If you manage to kill one, then you get to wear its teeth as a trophy. While it makes sense for Shaak Ti to have one, one wonders how Ahsoka at the age of ''fourteen'' got hers, unless akul aren't as hard to kill as they sound or Ahsoka is that skilled.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: Ahsoka calls Anakin "Skyguy" exactly once in the PilotMovie, but she rarely does it anymore and generally becomes a lot more respectful towards Anakin by the time of Season 3. Despite this, Anakin still calls her "Snips" a lot (granted, she did pick up some of his and Obi-Wan's DeadpanSnarker tendencies).
* PlatonicLifePartners: A master/student variant with Ahsoka. They form a deep, sibling-like bond throughout ''The Clone Wars'', with Ahsoka acting as one of Anakin's {{Morality Chain}}s and her having a great admiration for him.
* PluckyGirl: Ahsoka has been beaten, tortured, hunted, nearly killed several times, and watched several friends and allies suffer and die over the course of the Clone Wars. Yet, despite all of this, she never complains or gives up. Sadly, being betrayed and framed for sedition and murder by a close friend, abandoned by the Jedi Council, and almost sentenced to death by the Republic Court in "The Wrong Jedi" manages to [[BreakTheCutie break]] her.
* ProperTightsWithASkirt: This is the only thing that saves the skirt she wears with both of her regular outfits.
* RedOniBlueOni: She is the red to Barriss's blue. She even has the skin color to match.
* RememberTheNewGuy: ''The Clone Wars'' develops her up as an important figure in the Jedi Order and a very close friend of Anakin in addition to being probably the third most important person in his life after his mentor/best friend Obi-Wan and his wife Padmé, but she's not mentioned ''once'' in any of the theatrical films since she was created three years after the Prequel Trilogy concluded with ''Film/RevengeOfTheSith'' (which ''[[WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars The Clone Wars]]'' is set before). It's justified in ''Film/ThePhantomMenace'' and ''Film/AttackOfTheClones'' as she hadn't met Anakin yet during those theatrical films; it could also be justified in ''Revenge of the Sith'' that she wouldn't be mentioned because her departure is a sore spot for Anakin and he has other things on his mind.
* RescueRomance: In "A Friend in Need", she saves Lux from being executed on Count Dooku's orders.
* ReverseGrip: Her fighting style, as she makes extensive use of the Shien lightsaber form.
* RubberForeheadAliens: She is a Togruta.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: In "The Wrong Jedi", she declines to rejoin the Jedi Order in light of her faith in the Jedi Council being shaken by her trial.
* SecretSecretKeeper: "The Wrong Jedi" implies that she knows about Anakin and Padmé being together. This was [[WordOfGod confirmed by Filoni]] in an interview, although he did not specify how much she knows.
* SexyBacklessOutfit: Her second outfit combines this with a more-modest-than-usual CleavageWindow.
* {{Shorttank}}: Ahsoka is a snippy, back-sassing, little spitfire with clothes sort of befitting her rebellious attitude, but [[CharacterDevelopment she tones down a bit]] by the time of Season 3.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her outfits tend to show off more skin than any other female Jedi not named Aayla Secura, with the most egregious example being her original one, which has a fourteen year old girl wearing a tubetop into warzones.
* SuperSenses:
** Since Togruta horns work as passive echolocators, she has very sharp hearing, which she uses to find the kidnapped infants in "Children of the Force" and to eavesdrop on a conversation regarding Aurra Sing in a noisy bar in "Lethal Trackdown."
** She also possesses extremely fine spatial awareness, which she uses when she saves Anakin from a bunch of Separatist droids by bringing down a wall on them [[ByWallThatIsHoley while he was standing right under a hole in it]] in the PilotMovie.
* SuperStrength: Due to amplifying her physical attributes with the Force, she's strong enough to knock out armored clone troopers with single punches and send them sprawling with her blows, despite obviously lacking anywhere near the strength or mass to do that otherwise (she has little muscle on her and weighs a little less than 120 pounds).
* TeamDad: Besides being a TeamMom, Ahsoka can also show disciplinary and protective side to the younglings she guarded during the Young Jedi arc.
* TeamMom: Besides being a TeamDad, Ahsoka can also show a kind, nurturing side to the younglings she guarded during the Young Jedi arc.
* TemptingFate: She has a tendency early on in ''The Clone Wars'' to say something like "The hard part’s over" when it seems they've won the day. True to formula, things always turn for the worse soon afterwards. Apparently, she has learned her lesson as she stops doing it by the second season.
* TokenNonHuman: The cast of ''The Clone Wars'' as a whole has quite a few aliens, but Ahsoka is the only one in the main group.
* TookALevelInBadass: Ahsoka has taken several over the course of ''The Clone Wars''. This is exemplified by how she approaches each fight. In her first encounter with General Grievous, [[LeeroyJenkins she dashes in recklessly]] and Grievous defeated her without even trying. In their second encounter, she was actually able to hold her own and knock Grievous back once, despite still being heavily outmatched by the cyborg general. She also assumes a purely defensive position [[KnowWhenToFoldEm and retreats as soon as she's able to do so.]]
* TookALevelInKindness: Early episodes show her as being a reckless student and a showoff. As the series goes on, these traits are subdued and she better fits the mold of a member of the Jedi Order.
* TraumaCongaLine: The Fugitive arc is just one emotional blow to Ahsoka after another, leading up to her resignation from the Jedi Order.
* TraumaticHaircut: As a Togruta, she doesn't have hair by default, so she can't grow a Padawan braid. Instead, she wears a braid made of beads to symbolize her status as a Jedi-in-training. Cad Bane took it from her as a trophy when he captured her. She didn't appear to be anything but mildly irritated by it, but she did make a point to take it back after his capture.
* UncertainDoom: Ahsoka's fate in the ''Legends'' continuity was never revealed before it was declared non-canon.
* UndercoverAsLovers: In "A Friend in Need", Ahsoka needed an excuse for why she was with Lux when he went to make a deal with the Death Watch, and she got involved. She claimed she was his betrothed.
* UnusualEyebrows: A subversion of the "no eyebrows" category. As usual for a Togruta, the only hair on her head is her eyelashes. However, she does have eyebrow-shaped white stripes above her eyes.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Ahsoka's departure from the Jedi Order was her own personal decision after the events of the Fugitive arc saw her lose trust in the Jedi Order. Unfortunately, this had serious repercussions for Anakin, as she was major MoralityChain for him; once she left, he started falling more towards the Dark Side, and we all know how that ends up.
* VaporWear: Both her tiny tubetop and the SexyBacklessOutfit are "suggesting" this.
* VocalEvolution: Her voice audibly matures over the course of the Clone Wars.
* WaifFu: She's a very skilled hand-to-hand combatant.
* WellDoneDaughterGirl: She tries to cover it most of the time, but Anakin's acknowledgment means a lot to her, as shown in the PilotMovie and when she rants about not getting any while she is corrupted by the Son in "Altar of Mortis". She finally gets it unadulterated in "The Wrong Jedi".
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: As a result of the resolution of her character arc in ''The Clone Wars'' being exclusive to Disney's renewed Canon, Ashoka's final fate in ''Legends'' is never revealed.
* WrenchWench: In "Ghosts of Mortis", it appears that she has picked up some of Anakin's skills with machineS.
* YouShallNotPass: In "A Necessary Bond", Ahsoka holds up Grievous while the younglings escape onto ''Slave I'', which is commandeered by Hondo.

A Jedi Padawan. Many of her fellow Jedi had little faith in her due to her lack of strength in the Force, making it a surprise when Jedi Master Chankar Kim chose her as her Padawan. However, at the Battle of Geonosis--her first mission with her master, Master Kim was killed. It was believed that Scout would be sent to [=AgriCorps=], but thanks to a bet by Yoda for Scout to become Jedi Master Jai Maruk's Padawan if she wins the Apprentice Tournament, Master Maruk reluctantly took Scout under his wing as her new master. Unfortunately, Maruk was also killed in their first mission together to Vjun at the hands of Ventress. Scout spent the rest of the Clone Wars at the temple, but when Order 66 was given out, she managed to escape and went into hiding on Mandalore, vowing to continue being a Jedi.
----
* CrazyPrepared: As part of her WeakButSkilled shtick, she develops strategies to beat each of her opponents in the tournament. Some of them go straight into CrazyIsCool territory.
* {{Determinator}}: What she lacks in Force skills she makes up for in sheer stubbornness. This is lampshaded by her instructors.
* HappilyAdopted: Mij Gilamar and Dr. Uthan adopt her after the events of ''Imperial Commando'' according to WordOfGod, though it doesn't last, as she decides to join the Altisian Jedi.
* IdenticalStranger: Kal almost cried when he first met Scout, due to the resemblance between her and the recently deceased Etain.
* InSeriesNickname: "Scout", because her precognitive abilities allow her to scope out the situation and have a faster reaction time than others.
* LaserBlade: Her lightsaber color is [[BlueIsHeroic blue]].
* OneDegreeOfSeparation: She and Ahsoka are friends. They wrote letters to each other during the Clone Wars.
* PrecociousCrush: Whie had a crush on her. [[EveryoneCanSeeIt Ventress saw it]]. It unfortunately doesn't go anywhere even minding the Jedi attachment rules, because Whie is killed during Order 66 and Scout lives on.
* RefugeInAudacity: What she relies on to win her duels. You need three strikes to lose? Grab the blade with two hands and disarm your opponent.
* SesquipedalianSmith: ''Tallisibeth?''
* WeakButSkilled: Since Scout, as she's known, doesn't have nearly the strength in the Force of most other Jedi, she makes up for it by pushing herself to be the best in unarmed combat and other lessons.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: We never get to learn what happens to her after going into hiding on Mandalore with Mij Gilamar and Doctor Uthan, though WordOfGod states that she leaves them to join the Altisian Jedi, but what happens after ''that'' is still unknown.

The Padawan of Jedi Master Maks Leem. He was killed by Darth Vader when he and the 501[[superscript:st]] marched to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant during Order 66. Whie's death was covered up by the Empire, claiming that he was killed while mind-controlling citizens in the Temple District.

For tropes on his portrayal in the reboot continuity, see Characters/StarWarsJediOrder.
----
* DramaticIrony: When Whie first met Anakin in ''Yoda: Dark Rendezvous'', he expressed relief that he wasn't there to kill him. Anakin ''does'' kill him later on in ''Revenge of the Sith''. Whie even had a vision of his own death by then, he just didn't realize who would be behind it.
* LaserBlade: His lightsaber color is green.
* PrecociousCrush: On Scout. It doesn't last, because he dies in Order 66 while she survives.
* RedShirt: Exists solely in ''Revenge of the Sith'' to be killed by Vader in a futile attempt with Bene and Cin Drallig to fight him off.

The Padawan of Master B'ink Utrila.
----
* SeventiesHair: Her hair is rather poofy.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Her eyes and hair are both blue or black in some shots.
* DualWielding: She uses two lightsabers at once while trying to get past some of the temple traps.
* NegatedMomentOfAwesome. After being captured and tied up by the Death Watch, she uses telekinesis to bring her discarded lightsaber into her hands, uses it to cut the bonds restraint her and Glitch, and tells him to run for help while she makes a dramatic defensive pose to HoldTheLine. In the next panel, she is sucker-punched from behind and knocked out.
* NiceGirl: She is chipper in demeanor, respectful to her master, and makes pleasant conversation with {{Cloudcuckoolander}} clone trooper Glitch.
* NotWhatISignedUpFor: She was never asked to be taken into the Jedi Order, and she was never asked if she wanted to take part in a war. This leads to her eventual resignation from the Jedi Order.
* OneShotCharacter: She only appears in ''Defenders of the Lost Temple'', with her voicing intent to leave the Jedi Order at the end of the comic.
* TheWatson: Rennax asks Utrila amateur questions about the Force (which indirectly inform Glitch more about Jedi powers). Utrila is exasperated and points out Rennax should've known these things already from her training.

----
* AlmightyJanitor: Despite not even being Force sensitive, he managed to briefly take down '''Darth Maul''' with nothing but a stun rod in order to avenge his Jedi love interest. Maul eventually repays him for it, however.
* BadassBureaucrat: Was just a simple business clerk working by the Jedi Order, yet responsible for the aforementioned feat. Apparently even being employed by the Jedi in a non-combatant capacity osmotically increases your badass credentials.
* FiringDay: Not only is he swindled out of possession of his own child, he's then immediately fired from his position at the Jedi Temple because of their strict "no attachments" rule between Jedi younglings and their families. Understandably, Lorn is extremely bitter and resentful of the Jedi Order ever since.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With his protocol droid I-5YQ.
* KnowledgeBroker: One of his jobs at the Jedi Temple, before he was unceremoniously fired.
