The Priestess of Asgard and Odin's representative on Earth. Corrupted by forces unknown at the time (later revealed to be the Nibelungen Ring), Hilda commands the God Warriors on her quest for world domination.

Hilda is Freya's older sister.
----

* AdaptationalBadass: In the [=PS3=] game "Brave Soldiers", she is a playable character.
* AndIMustScream: After she was freed, it's revealed that Poseidon locked her spirit away in the Nibelung Ring as her body was controlled by him, torturing her psychologically while she could only watch her warriors die one by one.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: She kills a ''bird'' just because [[DisproportionateRetribution it flew away from her hands]].
* BarrierMaiden: Her prayers to Odin are what keeps the polar ice caps from melting.
* BigGood: In ''Anime/SaintSeiyaSoulOfGold'' where, knowing she is still too weak from her illness, she entrusted the mission of stopping Andreas to Lyfia.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: She is possessed by the Nibelungen Ring (controlled by Poseidon) after rejecting [[WeCanRuleTogether his offer]], and sets her sights on world domination in the name of Odin. She is liberated after fighting Seiya, who awakened the Odin God Robe and the legendary sword Balmung with all Odin Sapphires, removing the ring, after which she returns to her gentle self.
* BreakTheCutie: As her body was taken over, her mind was trapped into the Ring of the Nibelungs and ''continuously mindraped into watching everything as her warriors died one by one''.
* TheBusCameBack: She reappears in ''Anime/SaintSeiyaSoulOfGold''. Having fallen under some strange illness, Hilda prays for Lyfia to save Asgard by defeating Andreas and stopping his evil schemes.
* DarkMessiah: As Odin's representative on Earth and the priestess of Asgard, she became this when she got BrainwashedAndCrazy and started waging war against Athena.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: From a sweet white outfit to a regal black dress.
* [[HighPriest High Priestess]]: Of Odin.
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: Poseidon initially tries to convince her to [[WeCanRuleTogether willingly serve her]]. Hilda was having none of this, leading Poseidon to resort to using the Nibelungen's Ring.
* PrincessesRule: Her parents are never seen and she governs effectively. Certainly, by averting [[GodSaveUsFromTheQueen the queen title]], being called a princess emphasize she was a kind person before being BrainwashedAndCrazy.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Evil Hilda wears a black and red dress.
* VillainsOutShopping: Tends to her garden, feeds her crows, etc.

Freya is Hilda's younger sister and the person who informs Saori Kido and the Bronze Saints about Hilda's corruption. She is a childhood friend of Siegfried and Hagen. She forms a tender friendship with Hyoga.

----

* TheBusCameBack: She reappears in ''Anime/SaintSeiyaSoulOfGold'' as a cameo.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: An unrequited example, towards her childhood friend Hagen. She asks Hagen to help the Saints of Athena, in order to save her sister, but this [[{{Yandere}} enrages him]], as he thinks Hyoga has convinced Freya to turn against Asgard and attacks them both. Hyoga is then forced to kill him.
* DefectorFromDecadence: Freya noticed a dark change in the personality of her sister, as Hilda had been noted for her kindness and compassion.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Has long blonde hair and is very nice.
* PrincessesPreferPink: Her belt and hair decorations.
* ShipTease: With Hagen and Hyoga. Tha last becomes the reason of Hagen's jealousy and rage.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: In the Spanish dub, she's called Flehr. The french version also interpreted Freya as "Flare" which got translated to "Flamme".
* TokenGoodTeammate: Becomes this to the people of Asgard, when Hilda turns evil.

[[quoteright:152:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/PD081-Siegfried_1739.jpg]]

Siegfried is Hilda's second-in-command and most loyal servant. He is Hilda and Freya's childhood friend. True to his myth namesake, Siegfried is effectively invulnerable save for a small area on his back. He is a fearsome warrior known for his loyalty.

----

* TheAce: Good lord, no wonder he was Hilda's personal bodyguard. Siegfried goes through the Bronze Saints like a hot knife through butter. Even [[MusicalAssassin Sorrento]], part of Poseidon's army which had played Asgard like a fiddle, was hit with a bad case of cold sweat when he realized Siegfried was coming for him, dead or alive.
* AchillesHeel: The spot where a leaf landed on the mythological Siegfried while he was bathing in dragon's blood, coincidentally over this Siegfried's heart. Shiryu designs an IndyPloy around hitting it since he suffered from a similar weakness and now knows how to exploit it.
* AnimalMotif: The Dragon, just like Shiryu. His is the dragon Fafnir from the ''Literature/{{Nibelungenlied}}'' rather than a Chinese ''Long'', since he's Nordic. Fafnir is usually associated with bottomless greed and abuse of power, but Siegfried, per his namesake, is instead associated with valor, bottomless strength and toughness and more tragically, SenselessSacrifice.
* AntiVillain: He is a really noble and good-hearted warrior loyal to Hilda who only fights with his homeland's interests in mind. Seiya tells Siegfried that Hilda was under the control of the Nibelung ring, but unfortunately he doesn't believe it until Sorrento shows up, at which point Siegfried [[UnstoppableRage flips his lid]] and takes Sorrento with him in death as recompense for the God Warriors' actions.
* {{Determinator}}: Siegfried still had such stamina and power after his battle with the Bronze Saints that when Sorrento appeared, Siegfried not only pierced his ears in an attempt to nullify Sorrento's Dead End Symphony but was actually able to come within melee distance despite his injuries from Seiya. He even got pierced through the heart by Sorrento but Siegfried had the reserves and willpower to gather his Cosmo and take Sorrento with him in a suicide attack similar to Shiryu's Rozan Koryuha. [[spoiler:Sorrento would have died in the attack if he didn't use illusions to weaken Siegfried's grip enough to pull out his flute and play music to make Siegfried lose control and let go of him.]]
* BloodBath: His namesake from the ''Literature/{{Nibelungenlied}}'' slew a dragon and bathed in its blood, making himself invulnerable, but at that very moment a tiny leaf falls on his back (coincidentally over his heart), preventing that bit of skin from being touched by the blood, and therefore [[AchillesHeel made that spot the only part of his body that can be dealt a mortal blow]]. Therefore, the God Warrior Siegfried inherited his destiny, invulnerability and weaknesses.
* BodyguardCrush: Siegfried loved Hilda secretly in his heart, and vowed to protect her with his life.
* TheDragon: No pun intended. He is the acknowledged and respected leader of the God Warriors.
* DubNameChange: He's renamed "Orion" in the Italian dub.
* EvilCounterpart: Blatantly intended to be Shiryu's counterpart, with the dragon-like armor and AchillesHeel. Even moreso in the Spanish version of the ''Soldiers Soul '' videogame where he's played by Shiryu's voice actor.
* HonorBeforeReason: He noticed that Hilda had changed, becoming more aggressive and power hungry soon after. He was additionally warned by Freya that a drastic change had come over the priestess of Asgard. Siegfried didn't believe Freya and, despite Hilda's altered personality, he remained loyal to her.
* LargeAndInCharge: He's easily the strongest of the God Warriors, and while he's not the biggest of them, he still towers over the average human being.
* NighInvulnerable: Inherited the invulnerability, and the same weakness, from his namesake.
* OneManArmy: Took on all the main Bronzies simultaneously in a brutal curbstomp. [[spoiler: Shiryu almost resorted to Rozan Kōryūha but was stopped by Shura's spirit because it would have destroyed the Odin Sapphire. It was only after getting beaten brutally that Shiryu was able to find Siegfried's weakness, and that Seiya was able to change the tides of the battle.]]
* SenselessSacrifice: His mythological namesake was killed to try and avert a political disaster that only became [[FromBadToWorse much worse]] ''because'' of his death. Dubhe Siegfried ends up pulling a TakingYouWithMe, [[spoiler:but is foiled by Sorrento at the last moment, causing his death to be pointless... [[SubvertedTrope if it didn't reignite the spark in the Bronze Saints to take on Poseidon]].]]
* TakingYouWithMe: When Siren Sorrento, one of Poseidon's Mariner Generals, appears and tells how as Polaris Hilda was changed by the Nibelungen Ring; Siegfried, full of anger, faces Sorrento and tries to kill him in the same way Dragon Shiryu did with Capricorn Shura.[[spoiler:However, Sorrento escapes and survives the attack, but not Siegfried, who died in the process]].
* TragicVillain: A valiant warrior, complete in every aspect, forced into fighting for the wrong cause by a possessed Hilda. Even the Bronzes Saints mourned his death and his last words as he ''suplexes Sorrento into the Big Dipper Constellation'' says it all.
--> ''"Farewell, Asgard, my motherland. Pegasus, take care of Hilda, please. I will return to the sky where my dear friends are waiting for me. I will watch over you all from the stars together with them. Farewell, Pegasus and the Saints of Athena."''
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: His final move was to grab Sorrento for a belly-to-belly suplex, ''with Sorrento's spearhand stuck in his heart due to him clenching his chest'', before throwing them both into the Big Dipper's Alpha star.

[[folder: Merak Beta Hagen]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/BinShimada (JP) Daniel Abundis (Latin American Spanish) Luca Semeraro (It)
[[quoteright:150:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/PD031-Hagen_9141.jpg]]

Hagen is a childhood friend of Hilda and Freya. He is unique among all ''Saint Seiya'' characters due to his command of both ice and fire powers. Hagen is fiercely loyal, but has a volatile and jealous personality, which puts him in conflict with Hyoga, who had befriended Freya.

----

* AnimalMotifs: Horse (Sleipnir).
* CrazyJealousGuy: He loves Freya and upon learning that she had left Asgard with Hyoga, he flew into a rage and chased the Cygnus Saint in an apparent fit of jealousy. This got worse when she prevented him from throwing Hyōga's body in the magma.
* DubNameChange: Goes by "Artax" in the Italian dub.
* HomeFieldAdvantage: He lures Hyoga inside of the magma cavern where he trained. The former being an ice warrior ends up at terrible disadvantage against the fire tempered Hagen.
* AnIcePerson ''and'' MagmaMan: Dominates both the cold and the heat, meaning he has both strengths (capable of using both elemental attacks), and none of the weaknesses (as opposed to Hyoga, who is obviously at a disadvantage against extreme heat).
* NeverMyFault: He blames Hyoga for having "manipulated" Freya and attacks them both.
* OhCrap: His confidence in his trick and fire powers goes out of the window when Hyoga proves to be strong enough to cool off the ''lava'' with his ice.
* ReusedCharacterDesign: Interestingly, Hagen's character design comes from the initial Asgard movie drafts, [[WhatCouldHaveBeen where he was initially planned to be used for the real Midgard]], until it was decided to do have "the God Warrior Midgard" be Hyoga in disguise and hypnotized. So when the TV series was produced, they just decided to re-use that design for Hagen.
* SmugSnake: The Italian dub in particular paints him as extremely boastful and arrogant: when Hyoga calls him out on his arrogant boasting, Hagen claims that he was just listing his actual skills as a matter of fact.
* UnluckyChildhoodFriend: To Freya. Hyoga is forced to kill him, and Freya, after waking up and realizing what happened, wept bitterly due to the departure of her friend.
* WhyDidYouMakeMeHitYou: Hagen, dominated by jealousy and his duty to Hilda, did not hesitate to attack even Freya with all his might.
* {{Yandere}}: For Freya and he wants to MurderTheHypotenuse in regards to Hyoga. He ends up attacking both.

[[folder: Phecda Gamma Thor]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Voiced By: Creator/YusakuYara (JP), Javier Rivero and Saúl Alvar (Latin American Spanish), Tony Fuochi (It)
[[quoteright:173:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/PD011-Tholl2_3672.jpg]]

Thor is a GentleGiant who ends up fighting for the sake of Hilda out of loyalty, being personally familiar with her kindness otherwise.

----

* AnimalMotifs: His God Robe bears the likeness of the Great Serpent Jormungand, depicted as a giant snake with a hood, but Thor himself has little to no snake traits.
* TheBrute: For the God Warriors. He is really big and strong, but is also a very nice guy. He was tasked with taking Freya to a cell for disagreeing with Hilda, but he openly questioned the order and was visibly NOT okay with having to go through with it.
* DualWielding: Thor wields twin axes named 'Mjolnir' ([[InsistentTerminology the Italian dub has him calling them "hammers" anyway]]).
* GentleGiant: Is actually this deep down. In his backstory we watch he shared his food with poor families in Asgard, and he was touched by Hilda's gentle and kind personality upon meeting her, becoming utterly loyal to the priestess. Her corruption in turn is slowly turning Thor from this trope into TheBrute, which is something he resents deep down but he chooses to soldier on for her sake nevertheless.
* HonorBeforeReason: He noticed the change in Hilda, and acknowledges (or rather, hopes) with his dying breath that Seiya was right and the Saints are probably the only ones who can restore Hilda back to her gentle self.
* JustLikeRobinHood: His backstory. Being very kind-hearted, the giant Thor shared his food with poor families in Asgard. One day, he was attacked by castle guards who wounded him in the arm for hunting on the Valhalla palace lands. Suddenly Polaris Hilda appeared, asking her subordinates to stop attacking him, and she went and healed him, thus winning his loyalty.
* MegatonPunch: His other technique when he decides not to use the axes. A nasty surprise for Seiya, that's for sure.
* MeaningfulName: He is named after the famous thunder god of Norse Mythology. Ironically his armor is based on the Jörmungandr, an archenemy of Thor.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: One of the most obvious examples in the arc. Despite noticing the change in Hilda's personality, Thor deliberately chooses to turn a blind eye to the issue and still follows Hilda dutifully because A) of her kindness towards him prior to her brainwashing, which won his loyalty to her, and B) he cannot ascertain the dark truth behind her change as he's not aware she is being mind-controlled by Poseidon through the Nibelungen Ring.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: In Hyoga's flashback, Thor comes to his cell to beat the crap out of him while he's bound.
* PrecisionGuidedBoomerang: He can throw both axes simultaneously and have them fly around to smash the enemies where they least expect them.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Megrez Delta Alberich]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Voiced By: Creator/ShigeruNakahara (JP) Creator/CesarArias (Latin America), Flavio Arras (It)
[[quoteright:153:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/PD051-Alberich_8444.jpg]]

Alberich is a shrewd and cunning warrior who serves Hilda for his own sake. He is extremely intelligent and calculating, but was often scolded by the non-corrupted Hilda using his potential for selfish reasons. He is aware of Hilda's corruption and plans to usurp her.

----

* BigBadWannabe: One might surmise that Alberich's status as TheStarscream and success in defeating a Silver Saint and two Bronze Saints (and only failing to defeat a third because of a single tactical error) would mean that he would have been one of the final obstacles in the Asgard arc. He's instead brought low well before that, when several of the Odin Sapphires were still not accounted for.
* BlackSheep: None of the other God Warriors trust him in the very least, and they're right not to do so.
* CombatPragmatist: Since he has a weak body but quite versatile powers, he uses those ''and'' his knowledge without any mercy.
* CrystalPrison: A ''nasty'' version. He can summon the "Amethyst Sealed" —an attack that sends shards of amethyst flying from his body and towards the enemy, encasing him or her in a shell of translucent gemstone. If they're not freed, victims will be robbed of their lifeforce, and eventually become skeletons trapped in amethyst. And the only way to really free them is to kill Alberich himself. [[spoiler:That almost happens to Marin and later Seiya, and Shiryu has to save them both via fighting Alberich to the death.]]
* DirtyCoward: He tries to use the people trapped in the amethyst as hostages. Works with Seiya, but not with Hyoga.
* DubNameChange: In the Italian dub he's called Megrez after his star, rather than Alberich.
* EvilGenius: His intelligence and selfishness has caused some tensions with peers and Hilda herself, who had asked him to use his skills for the good of others, and not for selfish desires.
* EvilRedhead: Has reddish/pink hair and is the most evil of Warriors Gods of Asgard.
* FlamingSword: Megrez has a sword that comes together with his armor and has a flame of its own. He can control these flames and can shred and burn all before them, and even when Hyoga puts it out, he can reignite it at will.
* GlassCannon: Is basically the God Warrior version of this, because of his weak body. Even Silver Saints like Marin can inflict severe punishment on him.
* GreenThumb: The attack '''Nature Unity'''. It is considered one of the most powerful and all-arounded techniques in the anime series. With this, Alberich can manipulate the spirits of nature as he wishes, taking complete control of the trees in the Amethyst forest to bind and choke Hyoga, then Shiryu.
* HiddenBadass: Through his wits, he defeated three Saints on his own before he reached an insurmountable mountain with Dragon Shiryu, who is notorious for disregarding his own body safety to win.
* InvincibleVillain: GlassCannon he may be, but he stopped a Silver Saint, two of the Bronzes, and almost a third before being put down.
* LogicalWeakness: Being InHarmonyWithNature means his Nature Unity will stop working on you. The breathing techniques Dohko taught Shiryu as part of his TrainingFromHell lets him stabilize himself to the point where the animated forest ignores him, though Shiryu is still vulnerable to it when he then goes on the attack, since he has to use an attack with KillingIntent behind it to put Alberich down, and is not quite skilled enough to sustain the mental state required to nullify Alberich's technique.
* MagicKnight: Alberich is nothing if not versatile: while most fighters in the series follow a motif or pattern in their signature skills, he has ''three'' vastly different methods of attack. Amethyst Sealed and Nature Unity let him attack from a distance with unblockable, deadly, magic-like powers, and if all else fails and he has to fight up-close, he can draw out an [[InfinityPlusOneSword Infinity Plus One]] FlamingSword that's said to cut through anything and can't be extinguished. Therefore, enemies that come at him with their own specialized attacks might learn to overcome one of his powers, only to be surprised and curbstomped by another. It took Shiryu, who could find counters for most of his power set, to FINALLY be able to bring things to a stalemate, and even then, he had to pull a very risky gambit to deal the decisive blow.
* ManipulativeBastard: He was the only God Warrior who harbored a secret ambition to take over Asgard. He immediately noticed the change in Hilda and its origin, yet he only stood there without doing anything, letting the situation progress until actual open war, so that he could accomplish his goal of collecting the seven Odin Sapphires to kill Hilda himself with the Balmung sword.
* MeaningfulName: He's named after the dwarf king Alberich from the Niebelungen, an equally ambitious character.
* NoOntologicalInertia: When he dies, his {{crystal prison}}s are dispelled. He ''actively lies about this'' as part of his ConfusionFu to make his opponents try to take him out non-lethally, giving him more chances to seal them with the same technique or kill them.
* PlayingPossum: He was no stranger to this tactic, and pulls it off to catch Eagle Marin by surprise.
* SecretKeeper: He was the only Asgard God Warrior who knew Hilda was BrainwashedAndCrazy, and he didn't care.
* TheStarscream: He knew right off the bat that something was off about Hilda, and planned to manipulate the situation to place himself at the top of the food chain in Asgard — and, by extension, the world.
* ThenLetMeBeEvil: Before being [[BrainwashedAndCrazy controlled by Poseidon's ring]], Hilda would chide him because she knew that he was extremely intelligent, but uncaring and nonconstructive.
* TokenEvilTeammate: He is the only God Warrior without an UndyingLoyalty to Hilda and plans to take over Asgard by taking advantage of the war with Athena. His death was actually welcomed by some of his teammates.
* WeakButSkilled: Despite his apparent weakness, he defeated Marin, Seiya and Hyoga.

[[folder: Alioth Epsilon Fenrir]]
-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ToshihikoSeki (JP), Víctor Covarrubias (Latin American Spanish), Felice Invernici (It)
[[quoteright:201:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/PD021-Fenril_4112.jpg]]

A half-feral warrior who was descended from a noble family that fell to ruin after the untimely death of his parents. Raised by wolves from a young age, Fenrir is tremendously resentful of the world.

----

* AnimalMotifs: Wolf obviously. (Fenrir)
* BreakTheCutie: His backstory. Fenrir was the son of one of the most powerful and rich families in Asgard. One day, when he and his family went hunting, they were attacked by a bear. Abandoned by humans but saved by wolves, he started to live with them, adopting their lifestyle and developing a deep hatred towards humans. Which leads him to cross the DespairEventHorizon and become a WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds.
* CanineCompanion: A whole pack of wolves.
* DontYouDarePityMe: To Shiryu.
* DubNameChange: He's called "Luxor" in the Italian dub. Slightly confusing, as in the same dub Tokyo was redubbed "Nuova Luxor" (New Luxor).
* FallenPrincess: Or prince, in his case. He was the son of one of the most powerful and rich families in Asgard.
* FreudianExcuse: He hates and mistrust humans because [[spoiler: after his parents were killed by a giant bear, he was abandoned by other humans, being rescued by a pack of wolves.]]
* LetsFightLikeGentlemen: After spending the initial part of the duel sending wolves at Shiryu and using wolves as decoys to attack, he finally decides to go after him in a honest one-on-one duel.
* MisanthropeSupreme: His loyalty and care for his wolf pack is absolute, but he hates humans with a burning passion. The only exception to this is Hilda, because he respects her strength and power as a near PhysicalGod.
* RaisedByWolves: ''Literally''.
* WildChild: Living with wolves, he adopting their life style.
* WolverineClaws: His '''Northern Wolf Pack Claws'''. Fenrir concentrates his Cosmo in his fists, which then appears to sharpen the claws on his armor, which he uses as a medium when throwing his fists at the speed of light, projecting his claws, ripping through the opponent's body and causing injuries similar to a wolf's claws.

----

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: For [[spoiler: his twin Alcor]].
* AnimalMotifs: Tigers.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:And maybe one of the most tragic cases ever, as he always knew who Bud was and genuinely cared for him, [[KeepingSecretsSucks but could never tell him that he did]].]].
* CurbStompBattle: He faces off with a few of the minor Bronze Saints, dispatching Jabu, Ban, Nachi, Ichi and Geki with a flick of the hand.
* {{Expy}}: He inherits the ''Blue Impulse'' attack from the manga-exclusive character Blue Warrior Alexei.
* AnIcePerson: His first attack '''Viking Tiger Claw''' producing a slight freezing effect in the body of his enemy. In Syd's strongest technique '''Blue Impulse''', after lifting and opening his arms, icebergs appear to his back as a sort of big blue atom is created from his Odin Sapphire, which is released after breaking the ice.
* SeparatedAtBirth: [[spoiler: Bud was abandoned by his parents at birth to be raised by a peasant couple, as an alternative to killing him. Syd recognized him when they were children and realized their fate as twins]].

Bud is Syd's twin brother, who was shunned by their family due to superstition against twins. Syd deeply resents Bud for his life of privilege with their parents, and follows bud like a shadow at Hilda's orders.

----

* AnIcePerson: [[spoiler: Uses a similar attack to his brother. Far more powerful though.]]
* AnimalMotifs: White tiger Byakko, in opposition to Phoenix Ikki as Suzaku.
* BigBrotherInstinct: [[spoiler: He'll probably deny it too.]]
* BornUnlucky: And how! [[spoiler:On the day he and his twin, Syd were born, Bud was cast out due to a superstitious belief in Asgard that twins were a sign of disaster. And Bud was left to die in a blizzard. Fortunately, he was found and adopted by a poor family. Syd, on the other hand, remained with their wealthy parents and wanted for nothing while Bud's family struggled just for food. Bud thought life was turning around for him when he was chosen to be a God Warrior, only to find out he was not only an unofficial member of the group, but his purpose was nothing more than to guard his twin brother as his shadow. Meaning Syd always received 100% of the credit even when Bud contributed to his success. It's not hard to see why Bud was so eager for Syd to finally slip up and die, because it was the only way for Bud to ever step out of the shadows and have a life of his own.]] Bud got screwed over from day one due to factors that were always outside his ability to control.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler: Subverted. He only ''believes'' himself to be the Cain to Syd's Abel. Ikki reveals that, deep down, Bud does love his brother.]]
%%* FallenPrincess
* DoorstopBaby: Worse. [[spoiler:Bud was not only abandoned by his parent due to superstition, but they left him under a tree in the middle of a northern county blizzard. He'd have died if a poor, but caring man didn't find him.]]
* MysteriousProtector: [[spoiler: Took out Aldebaran to protect his brother. He denied it, though.]]
* SeparatedAtBirth: [[spoiler: Bud was abandoned by his parents at birth to be raised by a peasant couple. Syd recognized him when they were children and realized their fate as twins]].
* TheUnfavorite: [[spoiler:How Bud sees himself in comparison to his brother. Syd always got everything easily, while Bid had to struggle in poverty just to survive. And even when granted the privilege of being one of Odin's champions, Bud is told he's not an official God Warrior and that his only purpose is to watch Syd from the shadows and protect him, but never receive any praise for his efforts.]]
* {{Tsundere}}: Tries hard to deny that he has any feelings towards [[spoiler:Syd.]] Goes batshit when [[spoiler: Ikki]] sees through him and uses his powers to prove it.

A warrior raised with resentment by the man who killed his parents. Mime is a deeply traumatized and unstable young man.

----

* AbusiveParents: His adoptive father Volker abused him because he preferred to play the harp rather than fighting.
* BadassPacifist: Initially Shun could not use the Andromeda chains to attack him, because they did not recognize Mime as an enemy. He easily beats Shun within an inch of his life, and gave such a hell of a fight to Ikki that he collapsed from exhaustion afterwards.
* {{Expy}}: To Lyra Orpheus of the first Saint Seiya movie. He plays the same melody on his harp.
* InstrumentOfMurder: His harp can fire strings of RazorFloss to strangle or cut the opponent.
* LightningBruiser: Anyone that Ikki of all people calls equal to Saga when it comes to light speed blows, deserves to be called this.
* MasterOfIllusion: Mime can create illusions of himself playing the harp, deceiving the enemy, before proceeding to unleash insanely fast blows only shown as white rays of energy.
* MasterOfThreads: He can control his harp's strings and use them as his weapon. He is prone to laying down the strings around the environment as traps, as well as send them flying towards his opponents to entangle them.
* MusicalAssassin: Mime can play his harp while the sound waves of music make his opponent feel an unbearable pain. When the music reaches the last chord, the opponent dies.
* RazorFloss: His harp's strings are strong and sharp, enough to crack and cut through solid rock, as well as Bronze Cloths and the very human skin of the Saints wearing them. These also saved him from a very nasty death at the hands of Shun's Nebula Storm.
* ReusedCharacterDesign: He is basically a PaletteSwap version of Lyra Orpheus from the first movie, with some modifications in his armor. He even plays the same melody on his harp.
* SelfMadeOrphan: [[spoiler:He snaps when Volker tells him that he murdered his biological parents and kills him. [[LittleDidIKnow Little did he know]], though, that it was a part of Volker's ThanatosGambit: he wanted to both atone for the ''accidental'' killing of Mime's family '''and''' die in battle instead of his long-time illness, so he put on a [[HiddenHeartOfGold facade]] for many years. In reality he always loved Mime like a son, and once risked his own life to get him medical attention, but due to his honor issues he could never show it.]]
