-->''Love conquers all!''

A self-proclaimed adventurer that is looking for a prophesied hero, who helps Arle and Carbuncle return to their home world. She believes that everything can be solved using the power of love.
----
* ArtificialStupidity: As of ''Puyo Puyo Champions'', she can no longer rotate her Puyo. Strangely enough, this isn't the first similarity she has to Skeleton-T or Dapper Bones: she shares a dropset with both characters, albeit not a chaining type/power (Ally's stronger out of Fever, the skeletons are stronger in Fever).
* ButNowIMustGo: Against Amitie's objections, Ally decides to return to her own world at the end of ''Amitie and the Girl of Love'' at the risk of losing her memories of her friends in Primp Town, feeling that she is needed back home.
* TheCallHasBadReception: It is heavily implied in the games and novels (and outright confirmed in ''Quest'') that ''she'' is the "Great Hero" that is destined to save her storybook world by filling it with love, but due to various circumstances, such as Satan messing with the text of her story, or her own overblown respect for others, she always ends up assigning the title to people other than herself.
* TheChosenOne: Heavily implied to be the "Great Hero, destined to fill the world with love", though she is unaware of this and keeps assigning the title to others.
* DemotedToExtra: In ''Tetris 2'', compared to her role as the main character in ''Chronicle'', she has no bearing at all with the main plot. Her only appearance in Adventure Mode is in a Chapter 6 side story, [[spoiler:helping the recently restored Marle regain power]].
* DoItYourselfThemeTune: Ally's voice actor, Honoka Inoue, performs the theme song of ''Chronicle''.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Ally makes an appearance in ''Quest'' before her official release in ''Chronicle'', via the "Ally's Impossible Adventure!?" Story Quest.
* HealerSignsOnEarly: She's the first party member that joins Arle in ''Chronicle'', and comes with her healing abilities to ensure a smooth start on Arle's adventure.
* HeartBeatdown: Her two spells "Brave Heart" and "Love's Light." The former is shooting a heart, the latter being a ring of it.
* InconsistentSpelling: Like past characters with complications over the letters "L" and "R", she's been called Arie, Alie, and Allie. According to official merchandise, ''Ally'' is the intended spelling, but since Allie (which was the listed spelling prior) is a legitimate variant of the name, the latter is ''technically'' not incorrect.
* LoveFreak: To the point that she easily gives the TropeNamer, [[VideoGame/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness Flonne]], a run for her money.
* TheMedic: A recurring trait of hers when skills come into play. Her Skill Battle Skill in ''Chronicle'' is a heal and she also buffs her allies' defense. This carries over into ''Tetris 2'', which gives her different types of HP Recovery skills. In ''Puyo Quest'', her base card can turn Yellow Puyos into Heart Boxes (which heal HP when cleared), and her leader skill is a passive GradualRegeneration effect.
* MysteriousWaif: She's specifically described as mysterious, and her goal is to find a "prophesied hero".
* RedheadInGreen: She has red hair (albeit a bit more orange than Ringo's), and wears a green dress.
* ThePowerOfLove: Her ''Puyo Quest'' and ''Chronicle'' skill is "Love All", and it's also evident in her catch phrase. Her victory pose in ''Chronicle'' is even her holding out a heart. She can easily put Risukuma's "I love you." chain theme to shame.
%%** SignificantGreenEyedRedhead
* SecretKeeper: In the story quest "Ally's Impossible Adventure!?" of ''Quest'', Ally becomes this for Risukuma after witnessing his head fall off of his body, revealing whatever is underneath his fur. She herself even admits that no one would believe her if she told them what she just saw. This becomes [[DeconstructedTrope deconstructed]] following her [[LaserGuidedAmnesia amnesia dealt by Riskuma's invention]] which sends her back to her own world, with virtually no memory of the events of her Story Quest, including that of her witnessing Risukuma's true appearance.
* ShipperOnDeck: PlayedForLaughs in ''Amitie and the Girl of Love''. Because of her own exotic and broad definition of love (as well as the cast's general unawareness of it), she ends up misunderstanding relationships left and right and flustering everybody involved. It happens with:
** Schezo/Arle, falling for Schezo's signature [[ThatCameOutWrong unfortunate declarations]] in regards to Arle. To be fair to her, she's not the first to make this mistake.
** Dark Prince/Rulue, unaware that it's just an one-sided fantasy on the latter's part.
** Schezo/Rulue, as she apparently has no idea that the concept of VitriolicBestBuds (what Arle essentially describes their relationship as) is a thing.
** Klug/Amitie, because they were having a "passionate" discussion.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Uses Dapper Bones's Dropset in both ''Chronicle'' and ''Champions''.
* ThemeNaming: Her name continues the tradition of protagonists with the letter "A" incorporated in the start of their name, like Arle, Amitie, and Andou Ringo before her. You can technically count [[spoiler:Rafisol]] as her "R" companion, but strangely enough, she still lacks an "S".
* TookALevelInBadass: Her AI in ''Puyo Puyo Tetris 2'' is leaps and bounds better than her AI in both of her previous appearances. Rather than being an early game character, she's unlockable and has AI comparable to boss level characters.
** The novels also point out how much better Ally has gotten at the game ever since the events of ''Chronicle'', since even with her recollection of ever Puyo Battling damaged, her muscle memory is still good enough to let her play on-par with her friends. Arle, Amitie and Ringo, who [[LaserGuidedAmnesia can't remember that they were the ones who taught Ally how to play Puyo in first place at this point]], are impressed.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: [[spoiler:That pendant she has? It's actually an ArtifactOfDoom that inverts love power, which leads to the creation of Rafisol. And since Ally is all about the power of love, this is completely inevitable. Why does she have it? '''ECOLO GAVE IT TO HER.''']]

!!Rafisol
!!!'''Character Color''': [[purple:Purple]]

%% [[caption-width-right:350:some caption text]]
-->''I am the usurper...''
Ally's evil clone, spawned from Ally's pendant. As a being born into loveless existence, she lacks empathy and believes she only exists to consume all.
----
* ArtificialBrilliance: If Quick Drop is available in ''Chronicle'' during ANY match a CPU Rafisol is involved in, she will use it, making her even more dangerous than the traditional {{Superboss}} Carbuncle.
* BigBad: Of ''Chronicle''.
* BlowYouAway: Summons a dark tornado for her Take Over spell.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: [[spoiler:Initially during the post-game. Her plan to get some curry for Carbuncle was going to involve conquering a world that had curry, instead of getting it through more mundane means]].
* BreakingOldTrends:
** She's the first doppelganger character in the series [[spoiler:to ever undergo a HeelFaceTurn]].
** She's also the first character in the series whose AI can use Quick Drop even if the "Core AI" code is not activated. She retains this trait in ''Champions'', albeit shared with Dark Prince.
* CloneAngst: [[spoiler:It's hinted that she loathes her own existence in the post-game campaign.]]
* CombatPragmatist: All of her spells are themed around pragmatism, with names such as "Hide", "Snatch", "Take Over", "Domination" and "Disorder". [[spoiler:This even carries over into the story; she outright '''assaults''' Ally after being defeated in a desperate attempt to survive.]]
* DarkIsNotEvil: [[spoiler:After her HeelFaceTurn in the post-game.]]
* DefrostingIceQueen: [[spoiler:Initially, she appears to be very cold-hearted with no qualms against causing destruction, but after her defeat and in the post-game campaign, she starts to warm up to others, even expressing that she wants a happy life loved by others despite being a manifestation of darkness.]]
* DefeatMeansFriendship: After her defeat, she starts warming up to Ally and the others.
* DemotedToExtra: While Rafisol, unlike other EvilCounterpart characters in the series, has been playable in every game since her debut, she has no story presence in ''Puyo Puyo Tetris 2'' and is not even mentioned by Ally.
* EmotionlessGirl: Rarely expresses her emotions. [[spoiler:As it turns out, she deliberately suppresses them out of the belief that she doesn't truly deserve happiness due to the circumstances surrounding her creation.]]
* EvilLaugh: Lets one out whenever she gets a particularly high chain combo going.
* EvilTwin: Of Ally. [[spoiler: The evil part doesn't quite stick though.]]
* {{Expy}}: Of Doppelganger Arle. Both serve as an EvilTwin to another character, [[KnightOfCerebus pose as a legitimate threat contrasting past antagonists]], appear as a FinalBoss, and their presence is played up as a plot twist. The main difference is Rafisol was effectively born with no concept of the world around her and consequentially only thinks about destruction, while Doppelganger Arle's actions are fueled by envy against Arle.
* FinalBoss: Of ''Chronicle'''s [=RPG=] mode.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Her presence is hinted at in the Tower of Color before her fight proper, where Ally starts expressing pain being inflicted on her from the pendant she wears and the rest of the cast even start to hear her voice communicating with them, albeit faintly.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Becomes an ally in the post-game campaign after her defeat.]]
* HumanoidAbomination: A manifestation of hate born out of an ArtifactOfDoom.
* IJustWantToBeLoved: [[spoiler:''Chronicle''[='=]s post-game campaign reveals that Rafisol just wants to have a happy life loved by others, despite the circumstances of her existence.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: To the point where one could consider her the first '''true''' case of this in SEGA's run of the series. She's effectively a manifestation of hatred who only desires destruction, and if not stopped, could have destroyed Ally's world (with the implications that her destructive power could spread to other dimensions). But unlike Ecolo, this desire for destruction is played completely straight. On top of that, she's the '''only''' antagonist in the series that has assaulted another character during a cutscene. [[spoiler:Becomes subverted in the post-game campaign, though, with CharacterDevelopment showing that she just wants to be loved by others.]]
* LackOfEmpathy: If only because she is born out of lovelessness and lacks any knowledge of the concept whatsoever.
* {{Leitmotif}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMI4uaIHUEw "I will seize, all!"]], the FinalBoss theme in ''Chronicle'', which was added to ''Tetris 2'' alongside Rafisol in the second DLC pack.
* MadeOfEvil: Or in her case, hatred.
* OmnicidalManiac: When Rafisol first appears, she only thinks about destruction, and it's stated that if she wasn't stopped, she would have destroyed Ally's world. There's also light implications that her power was great enough to the point that its destructive nature could spread to other dimensions, if left unchecked.
* PaletteSwap: She is basically Ally with an entirely different set of colors, though with some subtle differences between their outfits. Her colors may seem all over the place, but they're actually Ally's colors ''[[PhotoshopFilterOfEvil inverted]]''.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: It's stated that she possesses enough power to destroy Ally's world, and would have probably gone on to destroy several others as well if she hadn't been stopped.
* PhotoshopFilterOfEvil: Inverted PaletteSwap of Ally, and is ''[[VideoGame/PuyoPuyoChronicle Chronicle's]]'' main villain.
* PowerFloats: Rarely not seen floating, even during cutscenes when everyone else is standing normally.
* PurpleIsPowerful: Wears a purple dress, and possesses enough power to destroy several worlds if she felt like it, not to mention having one of the hardest [=AIs=] to beat in the series.
* RecurringElement: An EvilTwin that is played up as a legitimate threat, similar to past doppelganger/dark counterparts like Doppelganger Arle, Doppelganger Schezo, and Dark Witch. [[spoiler:Unlike them, she gets character development showing that she isn't pure evil.]]
* SecretCharacter: Is one in ''Champions''. [[spoiler:On the Nintendo Switch version, you need to hold the L button then press Y to play as her.]]
* ASinisterClue: Her Love Hunter alt in ''Quest'' reveals her to be a lefty, holding her bow in her right hand and using her left to draw arrows.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Both her hair and dress trim are noticeably sharper than Ally's.
* TheStoic: She is very emotionless due to her being a spawn of hatred and darkness. [[spoiler:Becomes {{Deconstructed}} in the post-game campaign where it's revealed that she purposely hides her emotions, because she feels like she doesn't deserve happiness due to her mere existence.]]
** NotSoStoic: On the other hand, she will let out an EvilLaugh when she gets a high chain combo going. In addition, her alternate voicepack in ''Chronicle'' makes her sound more higher-pitched and emotional.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Borrows Zoh Daimaoh's Dropset.
* TakeOverTheWorld: [[spoiler:During the post-game she considers conquering a world that has curry so Carbuncle can have some. She is quickly talked out of it though, since she was merely trying to use her powers to be helpful, while still needing to learn what she should or shouldn't do.]]
* TheUsurper: Describes herself as this, even mentioning how she shall seize all if she wins a match. [[spoiler:Heck, she even outright stole the role of FinalBoss in Satan's in-universe story from him![[note]]Though Satan himself didn't really do any favours, jumping the gun early to face Arle in Purplune...[[/note]]]]
* WalkingSpoiler: Her role in ''Puyo Puyo Chronicle'' is a big spoiler in itself, as she appears very late into the game with little-to-no foreshadowing prior.
* WhatIsThisThingYouCallLove: As she is spawned from the inverse of love, love was completely foreign to her.
* WhenSheSmiles: [[spoiler: Shows a genuine smile in the post-credits scene of ''Chronicle'', she even ''giggles'' while doing so.]]

!!Enemies

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/puyo_chronicle_mook.png]][[caption-width-right:200:Pictured above in clockwise order: Red Rammit, Woodtle, Ice Wheeloo]]
Various types of monsters the player will encounter in the RPG mode. Each one has their own characteristics in battle.
----
* ColorCodedElements: Their color palette leans towards one of five colors depending on the element they are. There's also a sixth, NonElemental one that's rare, which is represented by a Garbage Puyo.
* CowardlyMooks: If your level is far above them, they will actively run from you in the overworld.
* {{Expy}}: Rammits are this to Puyo.
* {{Mooks}}: For ''Chronicle''.
* {{Planimal}}: Woodtles are part turtle, part tree stump.
* PlayerMooks: There's a chance you can recruit them via DefeatMeansFriendship, and you can set them as your party members. Of course, being mooks, they have weak skills and stats.
* StatusBuff: Wheeloo can raise their defenses by 25% against a specific color.
* UndergroundMonkey: Each enemy type comes in different colors/elements. For example there are green Wheeloo encased in stone, or blue Wheeloo encased in packed ice.
