AKA the Sadist [=RPer=], Spaz has used one character almost consistently throughout the whole thread. She also tends to play rough with her toys.

! Cloud Strife

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/310px-Cloud-advent-children-1-1.png]]

-->''{I don't know if you can hear me or not, but... I have so many things I want to tell you.}''

Having been unceremoniously yanked from Fenrir mid-drive by a certain mischievous Cetra and deposited outside the room, at one point before the Traveller mess, Cloud did his best to keep everyone from tearing out each others' throats when conflict arose, going so far as to make two universal rules[[note]]1. No killing/eating each other, 2. No resenting people for the good things they hold in their lives.[[/note]] . Being a bit of an enigma, he is generally very tight-lipped about his past and does not usually talk much about himself, even when pressed. After a series of unfortunate incidents occurring back-to-back, he is not very well-equipped with coping mechanisms of any kind. Because of the resulting instabilities, Cloud can be a bit of a wild card at times, but is a great asset in a fight regardless.

* CharacterizationMarchesOn[=/=]CharacterDevelopment: A shitload of this happens (unavoidable, really, considering how long he's been at this). Eventually winds up trusting the people in the room a bit more, and cracks jokes and smiles more often. And then things go rapidly downhill following the Traveller arc, and he slowly dissolves into a ball of self-loathing and guilt issues.
%%* DarkIsNotEvil
* DontYouDarePityMe: One of the reasons he doesn't seem to like Daisy much these days.
* DyingAsYourself: Pulls this at the end via KillItWithFire.
* ElementalPowers: Uses fire, ice, and lightning spells, as well as his summons.
* FriendToAllChildren: Has gotten on very well with nearly every kid in the room so far. However, not many seem to show up after the Traveller arc.
%%* GuileHero: At least, before his mental breakdown.
%%* GuiltComplex
* HeroicBSOD: Spaz isn't very nice to him....

%%* HumanAlien
%%* KillTheOnesYouLove: One of the driving forces behind his guilt
%%* KnightInSourArmour
* KnightTemplar: Joshua is captured by the Traveller at one point, tortured briefly and then prepared to be used as a sacrifice. When the inhabitants of the room track him down and kill him the first time in a spectacular Boss Fight, Cloud spends an extra few minutes just pounding his face in with his fists after it's over -- while ''smiling.''
** There's also what he did to Light.
* LeaveMeAlone: So very, very much during the Deluge arc. [[WhyCantIHateYou Once Aven starts pestering him, it doesn't seem to work as well.]]
* MindRape: Is both on the receiving end of and does it to people frequently.
* NonElemental: The blueish fire he uses, as well as Ultima, which is guaranteed to incinerate anything.

* SanitySlippage: Oh-so-very much. [[spoiler: [[FreakOut He snaps after a few weeks following the Zack incident]], and has to have his brain wiped.]]
* SoHappyTogether: Before he wound up at the room, at least...
* SoulJar: His [[VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia apatheia]], which he kept even after he got un-mutated. [[spoiler: Considering his proper soul is later repaired and put in place , it's actually a vestigial structure, and he could do just fine if it was destroyed, [[MindManipulation but if someone were to obtain it without smashing it...]] ]]
%%* SummonMagic: Occasionally.
%%* WalkingWasteland: After getting Jenova'd.

!Alpha (Mike)

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Alpha_9426.png]]

A gamer from Long Island, New York, with a fondness for a virtual reality MMORPG called TOME, Alpha is almost always upbeat and likes getting along with everyone, although being a bit of a shut-in in real life means his social skills aren't as up to scratch as they could be. He appeared in the room after going through a strange door, and is now somehow stuck there in his player character. He is somewhat naive, but makes up for it with enthusiasm for whatever the current goal is, and complete faith in his teammates.

* ActorAllusion: His full name is Michael Blake Luckas.
%%* BewareTheNiceOnes
* DealWithTheDevil: He appears to offer one of these to Aven. [[spoiler: It is hinted that he may have made one himself.]]

* HiddenDepths: At one point, he gives a breakdown of how he would slowly turn the group in on themselves until they all criticised and picked each other off one by one, "if it were me". He also has a knack for understanding people.
* HolyHandGrenade: In the TTA-verse, lightning is still classified as light.

A late but somewhat welcome addition to the party. A friend and rival of Alpha's from TOME, Kirb prefers to keep his personal life to himself. 146The protagonist of Persona 4... the animation. Acts on the same shtick as Minato except that he summons Persona with a card.
-----------------
* CoolShades: Retains the glasses he uses in the TV world. Hasn't had a reason to wear them outside of them, though. Eventually plays it straight when a pair of Kamina sunglasses spontaneously spawn on his face. He wears them a lot.
%%* DeadpanSnarker
* GenreSavvy: Lampshades many aspects of the adventure.
-->"Is this the part where I say "They just keep coming" and then something smashes down and kills them all and magically stops them from coming?"
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Eventually gains a katana.
* PluckyComicRelief: Very silly at times, such things include:
** Getting worried over fighting a guy in spandex first rather than the fact that he wants to kill him.
** Telling a young boy that he'll shove his sword up the person that imprisoned him's ass.
** Saying that he'll go collect information under an alias and in disguise when said that they should be careful with doing so.
** This might just be his way of dealing with being in a world completely different world from his own.

Despite being in an environment that shouldn't support him and being separated from his friends, he tries to keep a cool head about this.
-------------
%%* ArmCannon: Signature Mega weapon.
* SwissArmyWeapon: He technically is one since he can swap between a few other weapons on the fly.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Ghosts in general are enough to spook him out and have him running for the hills.

![[Franchise/AceAttorney Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pw-mf_7612.jpg]]
Phoenix was called in to represent Yu in the case of Yu Narukami vs Atlantis (coming in via Godzilla), Maya tagged along since she is his assistant. In what should have been a very strange case turned into an adventure for the two of them as they got dragged along into Castlevania along with the others and the opposing prosecutor, Harvey Birdman. Together, with Harvey, they had their own side adventure of hijinks and hilarity.
---------
* AnimeHair: Phoenix's spiky hair, don't diss it!
* BrickJoke: The burgers Maya ate earlier near the beginning of the Castlevania arc come up after the hard landing much later on.
%%* BunnyEarsLawyer: Phoenix.
* GenkiGirl: Maya, doesn't lose her upbeat attitude even in Castlevania! ...except when she's getting her wits scared out of her, then she freaks out as natural as normally as one would.
* GivingSomeoneThePointerFinger: Would he be Phoenix without it?
* HeroesOfAnotherStory: Phoenix and Maya were a part of the Castlevania B-Plot which involved leaving Castlevania. Hoo boy did they leave Castlevania... That aside, their antics were largely unexplored during the arc.
* RedOniBlueOni: Phoenix is the calm, straight man to Maya's quirky personality.
* {{Sidekick}}: Maya is basically Phoenix's sidekick, there's a reason the Castlevania B-Plot typically starts up with some variation with ''And now with the lawyers...''
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Maya's burgers.

![[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Luigi]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/weeg_832.jpg]]
This second banana to the dynamic Mario duo came crashing into the room some time following the events of the Castlevania arc claiming to have shot himself out of a cannon. It was shortly after that he got entangled in the whole mess of the room in general being present for the destruction of the Room's universe and getting rescued by Chuck Goodrich. He may be just a cut below his normal confidence, and he may be just as cowardly, but he tries his best.
-------------
%%* ButtMonkey
* BagOfHolding: He keeps a funny little sack that can grow to normal sack size in his shoe, it carries most of his travel belongings and spare power ups.
%%* InASingleBound: Wouldn't be Luigi without it.
* PlayingWithFire: With the help of the occasional fire flower, at least.
%%* SpringJump: Goes hand in hand with the above.
* TookALevelInBadass: Courtesy of [[Manga/OnePiece Zeff]] in a break arc. He learns to put his jumping legs to good use, earns a good amount of confidence, and his ''own theme music''.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Naturally Luigi's fear of ghosts can and are exploited.

![[Webcomic/{{Homestuck}} Karkat Vantas]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/karkat_full_775.jpg]]
A grumpy troll from the long destroyed planet Alternia. After being unceremoniously placed in the room during a three year meteor trip with a few of his friends, he has been swept up in all the weirdness that accompanies the room. Though he somewhat enjoys the change of pace, he'd very much rather be back on it in case too much time flies by while he's off it.
-------------
* AfraidOfBlood: He doesn't take bloodshed too well, and he actively averts his eyes when he sees a lot of it.
* TheGrinch: Downplayed. He doesn't like the holiday all that much, viewing it as excessive fanfare and way too much good spirit in one place, but he doesn't actively try to make it worse for anyone. He even folds and participates in a Secret Santa event after Aven pokes holes in his reasoning to not go shopping.
* HairTriggerTemper: He's... touchy. Though he tries to keep it down so it doesn't land him in trouble.
* HumanityEnsues: During the School Days of Hawthorne High arc. When he learns the truth, he's pretty grossed out and tries not to dwell on that time.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He can be a total asshole, though he can act nice to others in a weird, roundabout, backhanded, grumpy sort of manner.
* NoIndoorVoice: Subverted. Even though he's typically only seen shouting at everybody he knows, he speaks at a normal volume with the room folks so he doesn't piss off the wrong people and get thrown out.
%%* [[SinisterScythe Sinister Sickle]]: Owns a variety of them.

![[VisualNovel/ApolloJusticeAceAttorney Apollo Justice]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/apollo-justice_4024.jpg]]
A lawyer that found himself in the TARDIS at the beginning of a new adventure. Thrust right into the middle of all the strangeness, he managed to acclimate relatively well over the few days he meets the party. He presently awaits some method of escaping all the nonsense to return home to his own universe.
------
* HyperAwareness: So long as he's got his bracelet on, he can stare someone down and look for minute changes in their behavior. It makes his eyes look all buggy and makes him look very weird in general.
* RayGun: Following Keep the Flag Flying, where he had to fight in an emergency situation with sword, he picked up one. Purely for emergencies, however.
* RousingSpeech: Gives one to the remains of the human refugees in Keep the Flag Flying. It manages to spur them to keep up the fight as a Gear attacks their last safe spot.

![[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Giorno Giovanna]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/giorno_color_7138.jpg]]
A coolheaded Japanese youth hailing from Italy. He possesses a power known as a Stand, a psychic entity invisible to those without one. His Stand, Gold Experience, allows him to give life to inanimate objects. Though confused by his surroundings, he decides to just bide his time in the room, eventually resulting in him tagging along with the rest of the group.
------
* AnimeHair: Specifically noted too, by Travis, who was greatly perplexed by how his "hair turbines" worked.
* FightingSpirit: Gold Experience is this, being a Stand. He hasn't had it throw a punch at anyone prior to appearing in the room, however, due to being ripped out prior to the start of ''Vento Aureo.''
* GreenThumb: One of Gold Experience's abilities. It can give life to objects to create plants that grow in a specific fashion.

!Aven Turor

A self-titled "Hero For Hire" and skilled alchemist, Aven stumbled across the room one day on his journey and helped himself inside in search of loot. Now, he's found himself wrapped up in the conflicts of the room with everyone else. Despite this, he looks on the bright side, seeing this a chance for adventure and an opportunity for new companionship. Has a serious problem with the concept of fate.

----
* ChivalrousPervert: Had a tendency to flirt with Arturia constantly. This aspect of him hasn't been seen as of late, due to a distinct lack of women in the RP...
%%* CloudCuckoolander: Occasionally.
%%* Deadpan Snarker
%%* BadassLongcoat
%%* EyepatchOfPower
%%* GargleBlaster: His "special brew".
* TheHeart: Quickly grew into this role as he spent more time with the group.
* HiddenDepths: What at first seems like a womanizing, plucky borderline comedy relief is revealed to have ''very'' personal reasons for wanting to assist the group on their adventures.
* LargeHam: Turned into this twice. Once was due to a magic gun that turned him into a LemonyNarrator, the other was when he drank the aformentioned "special brew".
* TheLostLenore: Turor, the source of his last name, was a priestess he adventured and fell in love with that he failed to save from a tragic destiny thrust upon her. She is what drove him to dedicate his life to ScrewDestiny.
* PluckyComicRelief: His other major role in the party.
* ScrewDestiny: As mentioned above. Though it's a bit of a subversion. He thoroughly believes in Fate, but is also convinced that it can be fought and beaten. He has dedicated his life to doing just that.

!Giygas

Known in the room universe as The Thousand Maws, there is little known so far about it, other than the fact that it is insanely psychically powerful, and it seems to have taken notice of Roomworld...
----
* ArcWords: "All Is Not."
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: In its first appearance, the party stumbles upon a building that Giygas has "Marked". Upon entry, they are all brutally MindRaped into insanity before its presence dissapears and they and the building return to normal. It has not made another physical appearance since, if that was even a physical appearance at ''all''.
%%* EldritchAbomination
* FakeMemories: Uploads about several billion sets of them into Minato's brain, which he is now forced to live through one at a time in his dreams.
%%* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: Its debut appearance.
%%* MindRape: Gives a ''nasty'' one to the group at the police station.
%%* PsychicPowers
%%* PsychicDreamsForEveryone: The above mentioned FakeMemories for Minato.

-> ''Right. You can hear me? Good. Listen. All this. The exploding universe. The space ship. The death. It's a Sunday morning for me. Just don't stray too far from me and I'll keep it under control. Trust me. I'm the Doctor.''

Fresh from the Time War, the Time Lord known as the Doctor has lost everything he once held dear. Though he still travels the universe, more and more it feels like he is simply running out of shame. He stumbles upon the group completely by chance and has decided they need his help, though it has been some time since he has travelled with anyone. He is dedicated to the mission - [[DeathSeeker perhaps a little too much]] - and has put his leadership and technical skills to good use. He can shift from bouncy and energetic to irritable and cynical to absolutely terrifying, sometimes in the space of a sentence. He has grown more comfortable around the group over time and swiftly becomes one of their trusted leaders. While his moral convictions occasionally cause him to butt heads with his companions, there is no denying his value to the team.

----
%%* TheAtoner
%%* BadassAndChildDuo: Has this dynamic when paired with Daisy.
%%* BadassArmfold
* BadassInDistress: Spends a disproportionate amount of time injured, captured or both. Mainly because he's a NonActionGuy in a fight.
%%* {{Catchphrase}}: He has one, and it's ''fantastic''.
%%* DeadpanSnarker: When he's feeling irritable.
* DoesNotLikeGuns: Though he won't forbid the use of lethal force by the others if he feels it is necessary.
* FlatEarthAtheist: While he acknowledges the existence of magic and spirits, he still believes there is a rational explanation for them that he has yet to find. He finds the idea of Satan manipulating the group to be ridiculous.
%%* GuileHero
%%* HellBentForLeather
* HypocriticalHumour: In spades, though to what extent he is being an ignorant ass and what extent he's trying to rile people up isn't always clear.

* ThemeMusicPowerUp: His Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan. [[spoiler: Played Dance of Illusions while Bang was under Somacula's control, and was once stolen and used by Graham.]]
* HighlyVisibleNinja: Has done absolutely nothing remotely resembling stealth thus far.

A young spiriter [[spoiler:or so he told everyone at first]] from Hassaleh, a floating continent in the sky. Was accidentally sent to the "Roomiverse" (specifically, the moonbase) near the end of the Castlevania arc when it came into contact with Sagi's as he was using a Save Flower.
----
* [[spoiler:[[AndThenJohnWasAZombie And Then Sagi Was An Afterling]] ]]
* BigBrotherInstinct: Attack Daisy, and there's a good chance you'll be getting a taste of Sagi's sword.
* CombatMedic: Has a wide array of healing magnus, and is ''still'' capable of kicking ass.
* ElementalPowers: Almost all of his special attacks fulfill these roles, and those that don't take on the element of whatever weapon he has equipped, save for one.
** PlayingWithFire: Heavenfall, Red Padma and Blast Tooth
** AnIcePerson: Icebloom and Rime Blade
** ShockAndAwe: Cliffsunder
** LightEmUp: The Godling's Rapture
* GoodWingsEvilWings: A person's Wings of the Heart look different depending on what kind of person they are. Sagi's are large, feathered and almost angelic.
* HeavySleeper: Marno is completely incapable of waking Sagi up by himself.
* [[spoiler: HeroicSacrifice: Fully intended to make one before Marcus intervened. Crosses over with IdiotBall due to him standing right next to [[Franchise/BlackRockShooter Rock]], who is not only already dead, but can regenerate her body.]]
* [[spoiler:IAmAMonster: Feels this way after Riza and Kirb have disturbing dreams that include, among other things, Sagi, as one of Malpercio's Afterlings, murdering Daisy. Until [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan Helen slaps him, that is.]] ]]

* SharingABody: Though Sagi is the one in control, with Marno more of a backseat driver.
* TheHeart: More or less fills this role during the spaceship arc, oftentimes attempting to defuse any arguments or disagreements his comrades (or, very commonly, Marno) have gotten into, with mixed success.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: The Doctor repeatedly references the time Sagi accidentally [[spoiler:killed the Jakobs CEO.]]
* TranquilFury: At the Pandoran bandits who locked the group up and stole their equipment for no reason. Eventually changes into a HeroicBSOD when he sees the Pandoran Gun Cult.
* [[spoiler:UnstoppableRage: His reaction to Kirb's death, culminating in his transformation into one of Malpercio's Afterlings. It took a combined assault from Alpha, Rock and Kiba just to ''knock him out.'']]
* WingedHumanoid: His Wings of the Heart, though they don't allow him to fly, only enhance his speed and jumps.

Sagi's (incredibly talkative and occasionally annoying) Guardian Spirit. [[spoiler: Actually the wicked god Malpercio, who destroyed the Baten Kaitos world a thousand years ago.]]

----
* BattleInTheCenterOfTheMind: Does this a few times to break mind control, though it has so far only worked on Rock.
** Attempted one on [[spoiler:Dave/Cloud]] alongside [[Franchise/GhostInTheShell Motoko]]. It failed miserably.
* DealWithTheDevil: [[spoiler:He and his siblings offered their souls to the Dark Brethren in exchange for the power to defeat Wiseman. It didn't work.]]
* IHaveManyNames: Tries to invoke this against whatever was inside Alpha when it did the same. In an unorthodox take on this trope, he isn't referring to ''himself,'' but [[spoiler:his siblings, who make up the rest of Malpercio.]]
* ImGoingToHellForThis: A rare non-humorous (especially from ''Marno'') example - when Alpha mentions his theory about everyone actually being in Purgatory, Marno tells him that can't be the case since Marno would be "much lower."
* MindRape: When Alpha used his power on Sagi, ''Marno'' was the one who took the full force of it.
* [[spoiler: MyGreatestFailure: Destroying the world when he was trying to save it. He tries to hide his guilt by acting cocky and full of himself, proclaiming his title and status every chance he gets to use it. However, his initial reveal has shades of this.]]
* OCStandIn: Marno's personality, aside from some potentially snarky dialogue choices, is never elaborated on in-canon. Random has thus expanded this to basically make him a total dick to everyone he meets. Random has literally described Marno's personality as [[WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall "Me, just with the sound turned up."]]
* PluckyComicRelief: Intentionally invokes this - he notes that it's ''really'' hard to focus on how hopeless a situation is when there's a spirit constantly making jokes and wisecracks nonstop.
* PsychicStatic: Notes that any attempts to read Sagi's mind would most likely end up reading his as well, though he's had no chance to test this.
* Really700YearsOld: Marno died a thousand years ago. He does not allow anyone to forget this.
* [[spoiler:ShootTheShaggyDog: He and his siblings were killed before they could even get close to Wiseman.]]
* SharingABody: Though Sagi is the one in control, with Marno more of a backseat driver. [[spoiler: Also briefly entered Alpha's body to try and drive out whatever was using him, unsuccessfully.]] Marno even briefly entered Daisy's and Kashi's bodies on separate occasions, giving them both Wings Of The Heart and giving Daisy brief (so brief she never got to ''use'' it) access to Sagi's The Godling's Rapture attack.
* ShooOutTheClowns: Marno tends to stop talking (or at least stop cracking jokes) whenever things get serious.
* ShuttingUpNow: Says this verbatim when he tries to convince the Pandoran Gun Cult to let him talk to Marcus on the grounds of [[spoiler: him being a god,]] only for the Doctor and Alpha to tell him to keep his mouth shut.
* TheVoice: Literally has no body, and so simply manifests as a voice in the head of whoever he's speaking to.

----
* {{Animorphism}}: Left the Room by ''somehow'' turning into a falcon and flying away. Steve? was the only one who noticed.
* AntiHero: Moreso than most Room characters, since he has no problem with killing whatsoever. This leads to a BigWhat from Lucario, Sonic and Alpha when they find this out.
* BowAndSwordInAccord: Said bow can also fire explosive arrows.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: Wields a katana rather than a ninjato, which is what one would ''expect'' a ninja to wield.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Said that he would pass on a snowball fight...then showed up ten seconds later on the roof raining snowballs on everyone.
* WallJump: Did several of these in succession to get out of a deep pit a few of the characters had fallen into.
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: Has shades of this.
