!!New Ostia

[[folder:Kurt Gödel]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kurt_negima.jpg]]

Governor-general of New Ostia. He introduced himself to Negi by taunting him and starting a fight in the streets. He apparently knows a lot about Negi's parents, as well as info concerning what happened during the war, including some things that even Jack Rakan admits to not knowing.
----
* TheAce: He was described as 'good at everything' during his time with Ala Rubra.
* AgeGapRomance: If what the epilogue suggests is to be believed, Gödel eventually married [[spoiler:Hakase]] and he's likely to be at least twice her age.
* AmbiguouslyEvil: He seems like a typical bad guy for a while, but it's later revealed his plans make him more of a WellIntentionedExtremist. At times, it's still hard to pin down whether he's a good person who is making himself out to be evil for benevolent goals or just a {{Jerkass}} who honestly believes his extremist ways are the only ones that can save the world.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: He's a Senator and ActionPolitician who is exceptionally powerful and skilled.
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: He taught ''himself'' Shinmeiryuu swordsmanship through mere observation before finally convincing Eishun to take him as an apprentice.
* BadassLongcoat: Combined with BadassInANiceSuit. He wears a classy longcoat over his snazzy business suit and is an experienced warrior thanks to having fought alongside Ala Rubra.
* ClearTheirName: Even though Arika's life was saved by Nagi, Gödel was still unsatisfied about her name and honor not being restored. One of the reasons why he wants to bring Negi to his side is to get his help in clearing Arika's name.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: After being beaten by Negi and then being beaten up again by Takamichi, he appears to accept his loss and starts backing Negi and Ala Alba.
* EvilChancellor: Subverted. He certainly acts villainous at first, but he's actually just a dickish WellIntentionedExtremist. His claims that he was responsible for the destruction of Negi's village are actually just a ruse to get Negi to view the Senate as an enemy and make him more pliable.
* FantasticRacism: Subverted. At first, it appears that he only cares about the 67 million humans in Megalomesembria, but it actually turns out he was just being ruthlessly practical. The rest of the Magic World population are literally MadeOfMagic and when the Magic World disappears, so they will. He knew of no way to save anyone besides them.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: Turns out to be a SubvertedTrope later on - Gödel's just incredibly, pragmatically cynical.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: Immediately after seeing a flashback to twenty years ago, Haruna has a feeling that Gödel was originally a good person who joined the Megalomesembria senate to stop them from doing more evil after they framed and nearly executed Arika. In the process, he ended up becoming the sort of rotten politician he wanted to oppose.
* HopelessSuitor: He has been in love with Arika [[PrecociousCrush ever since he was a kid]], according to Nodoka's artifact, but she fell in love with Nagi.
* HumiliationConga: After he fails to turn Negi to his side, just about every member of Negi's team that's present either attacks Kurt, or does something to further ruin his plans.
* IShallTauntYou: How he greeted Negi, and more or less every other line he ever uttered. It always works.
* InsufferableGenius: He's identified as a genius, and is extremely [[SmugSnake smug]] about it.
* InternalReformist: He infiltrated the corrupt Megalomesembrian Senate to find out more about and stop their villainy. Deconstructed hard in that [[HeWhoFightsMonsters he let the corruption of the system decay his morals and his efforts resulted ended in him becoming the sort of rotten politician he wanted to oppose.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He presents himself as an arrogant dick who taunts Negi whenever they meet. Later revelations confirm his heart is in the right place despite his unpleasant attitude.
* KiManipulation: He's quite well-versed in Shinmeiryuu and can use techniques to bypass Negi's various shields.
* MasterSwordsman: He is an expert at Shinmeiryu swordplay, being Eishun's apprentice.
* MinorInjuryOverreaction: Played with. He uses a tiny splinter of stone cutting his cheek as an excuse to "defend himself."
* NamedAfterSomebodyFamous: He has the same name as one of the most famous logicians in history.
* NotSoAboveItAll: The super serious Gödel becomes rather childlike in mannerisms when he's talking with Takamichi.
* OffscreenRomance: The finale suggest that he eventually gets married to [[spoiler: ''[[MadScientist Satomi Hakase]]'']], of all people. They never even ''met'' in the manga, though [[spoiler:a note written on the class roster in chapter 351 suggests that Negi was planning to contact Kurt about Satomi after scouting her for his plan. He seems to have inadvertently played matchmaker.]]
* PiningAfterProtagonistsParent: He was in love with Queen Arika who didn't feel the same way and married Nagi. He doesn't appear to resent her son Negi over this, though.
* PrecociousCrush: As a kid, Gödel used to have a huge crush on the much older Queen Arika.
* SilentScapegoat: He reveals to Negi that the Megalomesembria senate was the one who sent the demon army to his hometown because they wanted to kill the son of their old enemies Nagi and Arika. This almost gets him killed by Negi. According to Nodoka's artifact, Gödel himself was not involved in the attack on Negi's village. However, Gödel says that he has no intention of running from his sins and promises, once everything is over, to let Negi beat him to death if that's what it takes to satisfy Negi's desire for revenge.
* SmugSnake: He treats Negi and his group like insects and has enough power to be a legitimate threat to them. His downfall is underestimating the surveillance capabilities of Negi's girls and believing Negi wouldn't figure out the danger of the Magic World collapsing.
* SubordinateExcuse: He loyally served Queen Arika in the past and it's easy to tell he had a crush on her.
* ThanatosGambit: He implies that whatever his plans were, it would come to fruition when [[MyDeathIsJustTheBeginning Negi kills him]]. Unfortunately for him, Negi OutGambitted him by selecting his confidant (Chisame) and a [[{{Telepathy}} mind reader]] (Nodoka), both of which don't like to fight, and another noncombatant (Kazumi) as the three partners Gödel let him bring.
* TouchTheIntangible: He manages to cut Negi, even though Negi is [[ElementalShapeshifter made of lightning]] at the moment, because he knows Shinmeiryuu swordsmanship techniques specialized in cutting spirits.
* {{Understatement}}: 'If you're reading this, I suppose our little meeting didn't go very well' accompanied by a cheerful grin. This is after slicing up 'Asuna's' shoulder and inflicting wounds on Negi including a blow that removed his limbs, which was only temporary due to Negi being in lightning form.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: He was a good kid 20 years ago, but working in an evil senate for so long turned him into a SmugSnake and WellIntentionedExtremist.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Takamichi. It's rather amusing to see the two super serious characters pushing each other like they're schoolkids.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He knows he can't save every living being in the Magic World. Instead, he opts to just save the humans in Megalomesembria, since they have physical, non-magic bodies and wouldn't survive when the Magic World disappears and drops them on Mars.

[[folder:Tohsaka]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tohsaka_negima.jpg]]

A leader and manager of the local fighting arena.
----
* BattleAura: He scares off his friends when they want to take advantage of Ako's SexForServices attitude with this.
* CulturedBadass: At one point, Ako and Akira burst in on him while he's reading a book of poetry by Creator/CharlesBaudelaire.
* DyingSmirk: [[spoiler:After sacrificing his life for Ako, he vanishes with a bitter smile.]]
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: He beats up Negi when he says he can't win against Rakan.
* HardWorkHardlyWorks: He also was a slave, and it took him ''almost twenty years'' to get free. Since Negi and Kotarō are buying the girls's freedom in less of a month via winning the Tournament, he's jealous like hell.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: At first glance, he's just a disagreeable thug, but his interactions with Ako in particular are the best indication he's a good, morally correct person.
* KickTheDog: He gave quite the use to the electric collars that the slave girls wore. He promptly got his ass kicked by [[BadassTeacher Negi]] and MamaBear. And later, upon learning who Negi truly was, he tried to blackmail him into becoming his slave.
* SelfMadeMan: He was an Ostian refugee who was MadeASlave after the destruction of the Vespertatia Kingdom. He earned his freedom through prize fights with Vargas and "The Chief".
* SympatheticSlaveOwner: He owns Ako, Akira and Natsumi after they're forced to sell themselves into slavery in order to get medicine. However, he's enough of a decent human being as to refuse Ako's desperate offer to become a SexSlave and tell Negi that his mother Arika was a hero he greatly admires.
* TakingTheBullet: [[spoiler:He saves Ako's life by taking a hit of the anti-matter cannons and disappearing right in front of her.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mama Bear]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mamabear_4317.jpeg]]

A huge, stern, good-hearted beast woman who is in charge of the slave girls and owns a tavern. Tought but kind, she budgers the girls into working real hard, but also protects them devotedly when her old friend Tohsaka bullies them.
----
* ApronMatron: She's very motherly to those in her care, and always seen in her apron. And Heaven help anyone who ever upsets her.
* BearyFriendly: She's a good bear person.
* BeastMan: Basically a big, slightly anthropomorphic bear lady.
* IWasQuiteALooker: A flashback to her, Tosaka and the big guy's past shows that when she was young she was less, 'big full on furry bear woman' and more 'good looking girl who appeared mostly human but with bear's ears'.
* MamaBear: If you threaten her wards, [[CurbStompBattle she'll have NO mercy]].
* {{Meido}}: She's dressed like one, wearing a short frilly dress and ZettaiRyouiki under the apron.
* ParentalSubstitute: She doesn't have kids, but takes care of the slave kids as if they were so.
* SelfMadeWoman: Or better said, Self Made Bear Woman.
* ShipperOnDeck: She encourages Tohsaka to dance with Ako, and also ships Kotarō/Natsumi.
* TakingTheBullet: [[spoiler:For Kotarō and Natsumi.]]
* {{Tsundere}}: Sweet type. One moment, she's exigent but affectionate. The other, she will wreck anyone going past her limits.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tournament announcer]]
!!!Voiced by: Mana Hirata (Japanese)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/announcer_negima.jpg]]

The announcer of the tournament where Negi and Kotarō participate.
----
* BlankWhiteEyes: When Rakan gets up after the beating he got from Negi. Both times (though the second time she's not the only one).
* CatSmile: She's often seen with a cat-like smile on her lips.
* CombatCommentator: It's her job to make comments for the tournament matches.
* CuteMonsterGirl: She's a dark-skinned blonde with [[CuteLittleFangs fangs]], [[HornedHumanoid horns]], [[WingedHumanoid bat wings]], [[PointyEars long ears]] and a tail.
* FacialMarkings: She has a symetrical tribal-like sign on her forehead
* IndenturedServitude: Wears the standard SlaveCollar, marking her as a debt slave.
* NoNameGiven: Her name is never mentioned.
* PlayingWithFire: She demonstrates arena's barrier with a mid level fire spell.
* {{Stripperific}}: When gloves and boots are the largest pieces of your garderobe... which results in Grade A ZettaiRyouiki (if you can call it that, as her skirt doesn't cover her [[PantyShot panties]] completely)
* SweatDrop: Negi fight with Rakan give her some, in particular when Negi stops Rakan's big attack and absorbs it.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Kagetarō]]
!!!Voiced by: Jirô Saitô (Japanese)
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kagetaro_negima.jpg]]

A mysterious figure who attacks "Nagi" not long after he descends into Ostia, having a particular grudge against Ala Rubra.
----
* CastingAShadow: He's a shadow magic user.
* DarkIsNotEvil: Natsumi assumes that because he uses shadow magic and dresses in all black, he must be evil. She's corrected by Kotarō and sure enough he's not as bad as he initially seems. Later, it turns out he only attacked Negi on Rakan's request and never intended to kill the latter.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: After taking major damage from Kagetarō, Kotarō believes the former must have held back his true power from Negi in their first fight and that he was in cahoots with Rakan from the very beginning.
* MalevolentMaskedMan: Subverted. Though he seemingly tries to kill Negi at the start, Rakan swears he's actually not a bad guy once you get to know him. Turns out he was holding back, though he wasn't afraid to seriously injure Negi.
* MasterOfThreads: He fights using the black ribbons wrapped around his arms, which he can wield like CombatTentacles and make them hard like iron to stab his opponent.
[[/folder]]

!!Hellas Empire

[[folder:Theodora]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/theodora_negima.jpg]]

The third Imperial Princess of the Hellas Empire and seems to serve as their primary diplomat. While publicly she appears refined and quiet, when she's away from the crowds and cameras she's quite {{the glomp}}y GenkiGirl. Furthermore, she is one of the strongest allies of Ala Rubra after they rescued her when she and Arika were imprisoned together.
----
* BeneathTheMask: She acts refined and quiet in public, when she's away from the crowds and cameras she's a TomboyPrincess and GenkiGirl.
* CuteMonsterGirl: She's very hot, with only her [[HornedHumanoid horns]] and PointyEars giving away she isn't human.
* GenkiGirl: She greets Rakan at the tournament by jumping onto his shoulders.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: She's a blonde princess who is nearly always chipper and positive.
* HopelessSuitor: WordOfGod states that she wants to marry Rakan, but he still sees her as a [[JustAKid child]].
* HornedHumanoid: She has horns on the back of her head that curl around her skull.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Jack Rakan is much bigger than her. This likely contributes her willingness PiggybackCute with him as much as possible.
* ImpossiblyCoolClothes: Yes, the bared midriff and NavelDeepNeckline are nice but... how on Earth you are avoiding a WardrobeMalfunction with that one lady?
* MayDecemberRomance: She's 30, and her object of affection (Jack Rakan) is 50-60. Though given that they're both slow aging races, it's equivalent to a 15 year old teenager crushing on a 25-30 year old man. It's one way, since Jack met her as a child, and still sees her as one.
* MsFanservice: She wears a leotard-like outfit along with ZettaiRyouiki boots, shows off an exposed belly and her breasts are also half-revealed.
* NavelDeepNeckline: Her most well-known outfit has a plunging neckline that leaves her entire middle exposed. The main source of support with the clothes seems to be prayers and good fortune.
* OlderThanSheLooks: She's 30, but looks like in her early 20's due to being part of a LongLivedRace.
* OverlyLongName: Her full name is Theodora Basileia Helladis de Vesperisszimia.
* PointyEars: She has long, pointy elf-like ears.
* PoliticallyActivePrincess: Besides being a princess, she's the primary diplomat of the Hellas Empire and known as the "voice of a country".
* ProperLady: As both a princess and a diplomat it is essential that she behave in a refined and polite manner, which she drops immediately in private.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: She's an Imperial princess, a diplomat, and implied to be a fairly powerful mage as well.
* SheIsAllGrownUp: She was a cute young girl in the backstory, is now an adult and absolutely hot. Even Kotarō is stunned at the difference.
* ShowgirlSkirt: She wears a crescent-shaped skirt that exposes the front of her legs.
* TomboyPrincess: According to Rakan, which she takes slight offense to. To be fair, she really isn't very ladylike when not working.
* TsurimeEyes: Her eyes are notably sharp but her personality is more spirited than "sharp".
* UptownGirl: A princess in love with the commoner warrior and once slave Rakan.
* {{Womanchild}}: She's thirty, but can act playful and childish when away from the public's eye, especially around Rakan. When Rakan calls her out on this, she excuses her behavior as her being a teenager by her race's standards.

!!Megalomesembria Confederation

[[folder:Jean Luc Ricardo]]
!!! ''Authorized Legislative Councilor of Megalomesembria''
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ricardo_negima.png]]

One of the few members of the Megalomesembrian Imperial Army who supported the Ala Rubra in the siege at Gatekeeper's Palace. He was Captain of the Imperial Flagship ''Svanhvit'' before attaining his current post in the Megalomesembrian Council.
----
* AnimeHair: It looks like a starfish. And yes, it's like that naturally, says Akamatsu-sensei.
* CarpetOfVirility: Sports this, as seen during Negi and Kotarō's training in Mundus Magicus.
* HotBlooded: is hardly ever calm, instead opting to shout.
* LawOfConservationOfDetail: During the opening of the Tournament, Ricardo and Theodora symbolicaly shook hands as representatives of their respective nations.
* MentorArchetype: He helps Negi and Kotarō train for their bout with Rakan.
* ShoutOut:
** Look at [[Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration his name]].
** Aside from the obvious one, looking like a HotBlooded LargeHam named "Ricardo" will probably make Creator/WilliamShatner [[Film/StarTrekIITheWrathOfKhan scream]].

The current General Secretary of the Order of Magical Knights, Headmistress of Ariadne Girls Academy. She had field command of the Ariadne Magical Knights (at least) during the climactic final battle of the war, 20 years ago.
----
* FanGirl: Probably one of the very first Nagi ever had.
* HornedHumanoid: She has two medium-sized horns sprouting from her temples that sweep towards the back of her head and flare out at the ends.
* MentorArchetype: She helps Negi train for his bout with Rakan.
* SilverVixen: She's old enough to have a few wrinkles around her eyes and lips, yet she's still extremely hot.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Emily Sevensheep]]
!!!Voiced by: Creator/AyanaTaketatsu (Japanese)
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/emily_sevensheep.png]]

A beast girl who is among the top students of a magic school in Ariadne. Quite arrogant at first; when Yue Ayase arrives she treats her rather badly, but they become friends after they have to work together to defeat a griffin dragon...
----
* AcademicAlphaBitch: Widely considered the top student in Ariadne. Then along came Yue...
* AmbiguouslyBi: Emily is a huge Nagi fangirl. Still, her {{Tsundere}} affection for Yue could be easily interpreted as going deeper than friendship. Post-Magic World arc, it's so thick that even Yue is getting suspicious.
* ChildhoodFriends: She and Bea have known each other since childhood.
* ClassRepresentative: To her class at the Ariadne magic school.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: [[spoiler:She dies, or better said, ''was written out of reality'', in the arms of Yue.]]

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Under the brash exterior, she is quite friendly.
* LittleBitBeastly: She's very pretty beast girl, looking like a human girl with a dog's tail.
* LovableAlphaBitch: She's a bit snobbish and treats Yue rather badly at the start, but is also more naive and goodhearted than she lets people see.
* MagicKnight: She's studying to be one.
* TheRival: Insists that she is Yue's rival. Not her friend, oh no.
* SenselessSacrifice: [[spoiler: The attack that she protected Yue from only works on beings native to the Magical World. To be fair, neither had any idea what they did at the time.]]
* SharedFamilyQuirks: Her mom is a FanGirl of Nagi Springfield, too.
* TakingTheBullet: [[spoiler: For Yue.]]

----
* AmbiguouslyBi: An intense Nagi fangirl, but she gets quite jealous when Yue starts socializing with her friends from Mahora...
* TheAtoner: She feels really bad about giving Yue amnesia, and compensates by taking her in and helping her out at every opportunity. She eventually comes clean to her about what happened.
* BespectacledCutie: She's cute, wears glasses and is the first girl to befriend the amnesiac Yue at the Ariadne Academy.
* BookDumb: One of the worst students in her class before Yue arrives. The two work together to overcome that.
* ClingyJealousGirl: Not normally, but when she sees Yue talking to her friends from Mahora she has a rather large outburst about it, leading to some [[LesYay interesting implications]].
* TheDitz: She is rather ditzy, but she appears to actually obtain a surprising level of competency after working together with Yue.
* DumbBlonde: As detailed above, she's not the brightest bulb, but she does get better.
* FanGirl: Another Nagi fan.
* LittleBitBeastly: She's an adorable beast girl with dog ears and a tail.
* LovelyAngels: With Yue.

* SatelliteCharacter: She serves the role of Emily's BestFriend who is always seen hanging out with her, with Beatrix having no real focus or characterization to herself. 278!!Canis Niger
A mercenary association of which we get to see in action the seventeenth unit of the bounty-hunting division.
This unit seems to consist of four people: Alexander [[RedBaron "Twilight"]] [[XtremeKoolLetterz Zaytsev]]- the captain of the unit, Razo, Paio II and Morborgran.
----
[[folder:In General]]
* AntiVillain: Yes, they are ruthless badass bounty hunters. Yes, they attacked the heroes. But Nodoka's mind reading revealed that [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas Razo worries about his ill mother whom he sends money when he can]], and Morborgran is a lot more sensitive than his skeletal demon body implies. Paio II, on the other hand, just wants to get her hands on some boobies (literally).
* BountyHunter: Their line of work. They're hunting down the members of Ala Alba to get their bounty over false charges of terrorism.
* VillainsOutShopping: Ala Alba meets them in public baths, which makes it also GoKartingWithBowser.

[[folder:Alexander Zaytsev]]
[[quoteright:230:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chikotan_negima.jpg]]

The leader of the mercenary group.
----
* EmbarrassingFirstName: His real name, as Nodoka finds out with her new magic tool, is Chiko-tan. He's deeply embarrassed about it, so he uses a way cooler pseudonym.
* TheLeader: He's the leader of Canis Niger.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Alexander "Twilight" Zaytsev, fitting the criteria for Conquerors, Scary Nouns, XtremeKoolLetterz, and Anything You Can't Pronounce On The First Try all at once. [[EmbarrassingFirstName Nice nickname, Chiko-tan.]]
* OneWingedAngel: {{Subverted|Trope}}. Zaytsev boast (in his thoughts) about a "more powerful form," but we don't get to see it because of Negi's DeathGlare.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Razo]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/razo_negima.jpg]]

A reptile-like demihuman.
----
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: He's worrying about his sick mother, and planning to send her some money.
* LizardFolk: He's a large reptilian demihuman.
* NothingPersonal: "We are pros, you know. We capture our prey, perfectly and exactly. That's our job."
* SocialDarwinist: Due to his line of work, he believes the strong prevail while the weak are defeated.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Paio II]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/paio_negima.jpg]]

A demihuman girl who besides working as a mercenary, is a self-proclaimed Boob Goddess with an obsession with groping naked breasts.
----
* BackForTheFinale: She returns in the second to last chapter of the series after a lengthy absence.
* ChekhovsGag: When Paio poses as 'Chichigami' at baths she is shown like a hindu goddess, with six arms and all, she use them (more) seriously against Yue.
* CombatTentacles: Courtesy of Paio's [[SandWorm sand worms]], they tend to be a little [[TentacleRope naughty.]]
* DirtyMindReading: Nodoka wasn't exactly happy looking inside Paio's brain as it's filled with nothing but boobs.
* DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnFemale: When first encountered, Paio II is constantly thinking about grabbing the boobs of the ladies Canis Niger is fighting, and the scene is played out every bit as seriously as you would expect AttemptedRape to be played out. Then in a later chapter Paio II makes a return, except in this case it is revealed that she is a girl as well, and her subsequent groping of all the girls in the bathhouse is played up for pure comedy value. In the penultimate chapter, Paio II undresses and molests Yue in a manner that practically crosses into BlackComedyRape.
* AGodAmI: PlayedForLaughs; Paio refers to herself as Chichigami [[OddJobGod (Boob Goddess)]].
* HornedHumanoid: Paio II has a small pair of horns on her forehead.
* ItMustBeMine: Paio's reaction to any boobies in near area.
* LovableSexManiac: She's a prime molester who only thinks about getting her hands on boobs. It's mostly PlayedForLaughs, though.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: She can grow two extra pairs of arms, although instead of fighting, she uses them for [[BlackComedyRape much more depraved things]].
* PestController: She's a Bugmaster, as Yue precises.
* PunnyName: Paio II's name can also mean "tits" in Japanese.
* SamusIsAGirl: Paio II first shows up as a tall bounty hunter with a costume that hides the face. Some chapters later, Paio II is revealed to be a girl when she shows up at the girls' side of the bathhouse. Her mercenary outfit just makes her look bigger than she really is.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She's the only female member of Canis Niger.
* UnusualEars: She has goat-like ears.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Morborgran]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/morborgran_negima.jpg]]

A demon that looks like monstrous skeleton.
----
* DemBones: He's a skeletal humanoid with six arms, which he somehow hides two pairs under his coat, with the only conspicuous thing in his normal guise being his skull head adorned with ram two horns.
* HiddenDepths: Despite his monstrous and scary appearance, Nodoka's Artifact reveals he thinks like a fairly normal person and actually dislikes how his opponents always attack him first, often all together, because of the way he looks.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: He has six arms.
* OurDemonsAreDifferent: Negi assumes he's a powerful Demon kin, so he doesn't hold back on Morbogram when saving Nodoka.

A truck driver who gives Yuna and Makie a ride to Ostia from the oasis town they were stranded in by Cosmo Entelecheia. Since developing a fondness for the girls on the way there, he's decided to stick with Ala Alba and help them save the world.
----
* ChivalrousPervert: He likes to compliment Yuna on how she's [[FanservicePack grown]].
* EyesAlwaysShut: He's never seen with his eyes open.
* HeroicBystander: He's just an ordinary trucker, but even after seeing Cosmo Entelecheia raze the Governor's Ball and presumably kill everyone attending, he didn't think twice about going against them.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:He flies his ship [[TakingTheBullet in the way of Quartum's massive]] FlamingSword attack, gets cut down, and is promptly erased.]]
-->'''Jonny:''' [[spoiler:Just...gotta protect the girls.]]
* ShoutOut: His name is a shout out to ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}''.

Four adventurers who take Nodoka under their wing upon her arrival to the Magical World.
----
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Kristian likes Aisha, Aisha likes Craig, Craig is overly protective of Nodoka because [[ReplacementGoldfish she reminds him]] of a childhood friend that ''he's'' [[ChildhoodFriendRomance still in love with]] and may have a crush on Nodoka as well.
* BadassBookworm: Craig and Aisha.
* BareFistedMonk: Lynn.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Craig's feelings toward Nodoka.

* UnusualEars: Aisha's and Lynn's ears resemble those of a goat.

[[folder:Luna's elder sister]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shioris_sister.jpg]]

The elder sister of Luna aka [[AntiVillain Shiori]]. A young woman living with her sister in a small village of mind-readers in a mountainous region of the Magical World.
----
* DisposableWoman: She's introduced in the flashback solely to make Fate furious enough to kill Secundum for erasing her.
* EyesOutOfSight: Her eyes are always covered by shadow.
* FirstLove: She's implied to be the first person Fate had a crush on. His SecondLove would be Negi.
* FlorenceNightingaleEffect: One day, while flying Fate's core started to fail and he fell from the sky. Luna's sister found him and took care of him for three days until he recovered. This and her delicious coffee made Fate fond of her.
* ImpliedLoveInterest: Considering the way he usually is, Fate treated her well and she's the reason for his fondness of coffee. It isn't made clear if his feelings for her were romantic, but he did care about her and her death enraged him enough to kill Secundum.
* TheLostLenore: Fate's fondness of her was strong enough that he killed Secundum to avenge her and he apparently drinks several cups of coffee every day in her memory.
* NoNameGiven: Never referred to by name.
* PointyEars: She has long, elf-like ears like her sister.
* PosthumousCharacter: She only appears only in Fate's flashbacks, which conclude with her death.
* PromotionToParent: She appeared to live alone with Luna/Shiori, which implies she probably was her little sister's only guardian until she died and Fate took Luna/Shiori under his wing.
* SatelliteCharacter: She's not even named. All that is known about her is that she was Shiori's older sister and the only purpose of her existence is giving Fate a source of backstory.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: While she only has short appearances in a flashback, it was meeting her and her cruel death what shaped a lot of Fate's current character, such as his "hobby" of picking up war orphans since the first girl he took in was her little sister.
* SorryThatImDying: She spent her last moments apologizing to Fate for not being able to make coffee for him again.
* ThroughHisStomach: Fate quickly becomes fond of her because she mades truly amazing coffee.
* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: She was a kind young woman who was fatally injured by humans with FantasticRacism and then erased by Secundum in order to show Fate the cruelty found in the Magic World.
* TouchTelepathy: Her race has the ability of mind-reading, activated by touch.
* UncannyFamilyResemblance: She looks like an older, long-haired version of her sister.
* WalkingSpoiler: Pretty much everything about her is an important revelation in Fate's backstory.
