! Protagonists & Heroes

!! Abigail "Abbey" Elaine Preston
->Metamor City's only paranormal consultant (i.e. ghost hunter) and one of the strongest telepaths in the Psi Collective. She's part of the Sommers family/breeding cell.

* BadassAdorable: Even as a child, she is one of the most powerful telepaths the Psi Collective has known, and as a teenager she's even more powerful.
* BrokenBird: She displays traces of this after the events of ''Making the Cut,'' [[spoiler:the worst of it being her TraumaticCSection courtesy of Victor,]] but in general copes with her traumatic past a lot better than many other examples of the trope.
* ChildProdigy: In her childhood years. Already as a child she's one of the strongest telepaths in the setting.
* [[spoiler: CompositeCharacter: A strange in-story example, as she in ''MakingTheCut'' merged with Sasha King through a PsychicLink, during which Sasha's body was killed, leaving both personas in Abbey's mind. After some time they went through a SplitPersonalityMerge and became one person.]]
* ISeeDeadPeople: After ''Making The Cut.''
* PsychicPowers: Telepathy and ESP, though it's the telepathy that really makes her powerful.
* TheSoulsaver: In her job as paranormal consultant, she helps ghosts find peace and move on.
* TroubledBackstoryFlashback: Forced to go through them in ''Troubled Minds.'' The backstory is expanded upon and told in fuller detail in ''Making The Cut.''

!! Brian Sommers
->Ex-captain of the highly secretive Psi-Ops division of the MID, an electrokineticist, and currently head of the family in a breeding cell.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: You couldn't ask for a more personable, amiable or caring guy -- threaten his family or friends, though, and you are in ''trouble.''
* TheCaptain: On Psi-Ops and related missions.
* HollywoodHacking: With ''psionics.'' Which is every bit as awesome as it sounds.
* TheLeader: A particularly effective mix of Types II and IV; he is naturally charismatic and really cares about the people he leads, but he's also levelheaded and quick-thinking in a crisis.
* ShockAndAwe: he prefers to hack technology with his mind but can still throw a mean lightning bolt when he has to.
* {{Technopath}}: His electrokinesis allows him to enter computer systems with his mind.

!! Daniel/Danielle "Danni" Sharabi
->A low-powered telepath with HealingHands, recently-turned [[GenderBender androgyne]] in order to fit in better with the Psi Collective. An old friend of Brian Sommers, and the old boyfriend of Brian's cell-wife Rebecca.[[spoiler: Eventually joins the Sommers breeding cell, turning it into a family with "one and a half men, three and a half women."]]

* TheAtoner: In the latter parts of ''Making the Cut,'' after he [[spoiler:inadvertently helps set up circumstances that lead to the deaths of two of his closest friends.]]
* AttractiveBentGender: As Daniel, he's already very good-looking. As Danni, she is ''stunning.''
* GenderBender: The [[FirstLawOfGenderBending First,]] [[SecondLawOfGenderBending Second]] and [[ThirdLawOfGenderBending Third]] Laws of Gender Bending are all played with and look like they will be played straight, but are ultimately subverted and deconstructed. After first changing into a woman, Daniel takes the name "Danni," quickly loses all interest in her old life as male, fully embraces her femininity. She {{Lampshades}} that it's a little weird how quickly she's adjusting, but waves it off as she decides she's better off as a woman anyway... and ''then'' the story reveals not only that the sudden shift is largely thanks to outside influences. but also shows just how unhealthy and self-destructive this attitude is. Quite a bit of ''Making The Cut'' is dedicated to Daniel/Danni working out the resulting issues and finding a balance between their male and female selves.
* HealingHands: Not a powerful enough healer that the Collective finds any use for him as Daniel (a big reason for why he takes the [[GenderBender Curse]]), but still powerful enough to ''bring people back from the brink of death.''
* HighSchoolSweethearts: With Rebecca. Though the Psi Collective does not allow them to be together, they remain close, and he ends up taking some drastic actions so he can be with her anyway. [[spoiler: In the end, it works... though [[EarnYourHappyEnding not at all painlessly]].]]
* JadedWashout: In the early parts of ''Making The Cut,'' Daniel is clearly heading down this path. In high school he had it all: he was popular, well-liked, a good student and a great athlete, he had a loving and dedicated girlfriend and lots of friends. Then the Collective found his telepathy and healing to be too weak for their uses, and that was the end of Daniel's success story. As an adult he lives on the fringes of the Collective's society, in a dead-end job and forbidden from being with his girlfriend, and he's growing increasingly frustrated and depressed about it. Lucky for him, he manages to get himself out of this, but [[EarnYourHappyEnding it's not easy.]]
* LightningBruiser: Though he lives in a world where a lot of people have supernatural strength and reflexes, Daniel still manages to count as this even for Metamor City. On more than one occasion he's gone up against people vastly above his level and still completely trounced them.
* LovableJock: Daniel was this during his high school years; he was one of the best athletes at school, and also known as just an all-around decent and good-natured person.
* NiceGuy: Even though he makes some really ''bad'' choices (which he [[TheAtoner regrets and tries to make up for afterwards]]), Daniel is a kind, helpful and empathetic man by nature. As Danni, she becomes... a little more complicated; she's still basically good but has more of an edge to her, notably bordering on JerkWithAHeartOfGold at times.
* SplitPersonalityTakeover: This almost happens in ''Making the Cut,'' shortly after Daniel has taken the Curse. The newly-formed "Danni" persona almost completely takes over, though she isn't actually aware what she's doing.

!! James William "Will" Kerenson

->A college student and aspiring writer who came to Metamor City in order to study journalism -- though his real ambition is to one day write the Great Metamorian Novel.

* DeadpanSnarker: Mostly in his inner monologues, but he gets in a few quips in his dialogue as well -- he likes to think of himself as having a charming wit, and... well, he's ''mostly'' right, even if he's not as mature as he thinks.
* EmbarrassingNickname: His family call him "Jamie," which is one of two reasons why he prefers going by "Will." (The other reason is that he thinks "Will" sounds more like a writer's name.)
* LemonyNarrator: Since he's an aspiring writer, he has a habit of internally describing scenes or situations in his head as he experiences them, in a style that sometimes borders on PrivateEyeMonologue.
* NiceGuy: Perhaps a little naive and inexperienced at times, but he's genuinely a kind and honorable guy. He genuinely cares about those who are worse off than him and he tries his best to help out where he can.
* UnfazedEveryman: In a series where the other viewpoint characters are psionisists, wizards, androgynes or non-human in some way, Will is described as "really a pretty normal kid" with no magic, psionics or supernatural abilities. In a city like Metamor, it makes him a bit of a FishOutOfWater.

!! Janus Starson
->Metamor City's local field commander for [[ThePaladin the Lightbringers]], a direct descendant of [[MessianicArchetype Merai Starchild]] and dedicated -- some might say ''too'' dedicated -- to protect humanity from supernatural threats.

* GoodIsNotNice: As so many non-humans (and a few humans) frequently find out when dealing with him.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He's gruff, anti-social, and not all that good at giving people the benefit of the doubt (at least not if they belong to one of the "evil" races), but he is well-intentioned and will listen to reason... to a point.
* KnightInSourArmor: Depending on who you ask, he might sometimes border on KnightTemplar or WellIntentionedExtremist.
* NamedWeapons: Elemacil, the Sword of Metamor, an ancient weapon with magical powers.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Somehow manages to combine this with his borderline KnightTemplar attitude. He may be suspicious and a little too trigger-happy, but he does try his hardest to be fair to everyone. On a good day, he can be downright pleasant.
* SemiDivine: An Aasimar (as in D&D) descended from an immortal demigoddess responsible for dragging the gods down to Earth.
* YetAnotherChristmasCarol: Is subject to one of these in ''A Lightbringer Carol.''

!! Kathryn "Kate" Kitaen
->Lieutenant of the Metamor City Police Department, detective of magic affairs and master illusionist.

* ActionGirl: To the point of almost being an adrenaline junkie.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: ''Things Unseen'' hints that she's not entirely human, [[spoiler: in ''The Lost and the Least'' she discovers her grandmother was a Starchild, likely making her an Aasimar like distant cousin Janus.]]
* BreakTheCutie: Kate starts out as a happy-go-lucky jokester who has things together for the most part. Then plots happen and rebelations are made which ends up putting her through absolute hell and utterly ''breaking'' her. In later stories she's clearly suffering from PSTD... even though she pretends to everyone including herself that she doesn't.
* DeadpanSnarker: Not always the most deadpan of snarkers, but she generally has a witty or sarcastic comment for every situation. There are a few stories that [[BeneathTheMask present her in a more serious light, though]]
* ImmuneToMindControl: Her discovery in ''Things Unseen'' that she can't be mind-controlled or dominated is the first serious clue to her AmbiguouslyHuman nature.
* MasterOfIllusion: A rare heroic example, though she's not above using her illusions for the occasional practical joke.
* ThePrankster: She's introduced as a bit of a practical joker in the first story, ''Welcome to the City.'' but this trait pretty much vanishes after that.
* SadClown: She's revealed to at least have traces of this in ''House Call,'' though she does say that her happy, joking persona isn't ''all'' an act.

!! Rafak Aliri
->A small, but tough and street-smart [[OurOrcsAreDifferent Lutin]] who works as a PrivateDetective and gets involved in some ''weird'' cases. He's pretty much an archetypal DeadpanSnarker HardboiledDetective, except for being short and green.

* DeadpanSnarker: As fits his character type, he's mastered the flippant attitude and creative sarcasms.
* HardboiledDetective: Kind of a parody of the trope; personality-wise he plays it completely straight, but the world around him doesn't take him ''quite'' as seriously as they would have if he hadn't been so small and green-skinned.
* LemonyNarrator: He narrates his stories like a ''proper'' HardboiledDetective.
* OurOrcsAreDifferent: This one, for example, is a private investigator.

! Antagonists & Villains

!! Malcolm ard'Valos
->The Vampire Prince and head of TheSyndicate of Metamor City.

* AffablyEvil: He's very charming, hospitable and polite -- when he's not angry.
* TheChessmaster: Proves to be quite the ManipulativeBastard, in fact.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive
* ThePlan: Pulls a good one off in ''Making the Cut.''
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Sometimes bordering on DevilInPlainSight. Everyone ''knows'' he's a ruthless vampire price, but officially he remains a law-obiding businessman.

!! Victor hin'Kavos
->A powerful, but ruthless telekinetic who knows how to manipulate people and can be charming when he wants something, but gets dangerous whenever things aren't going his way.

* {{Cyborg}}: In the loosest sense, he can be said to become one in ''Making the Cut,'' after he [[spoiler:has an electronic chip implanted in his brain that redirects his thought patterns and basically makes him immune to mind reading or mind control.]]
* FauxAffablyEvil: He's ''extremely'' good at hiding the monster inside -- good enough, in fact, that while the Psi Collective was aware that he had anger issues, he was capable of keeping them from seeing just how deep his psychosis went for several years.
* LackOfEmpathy: Though he doesn't quite seem like it at first, this very quickly proved to be the case with him.
* ManipulativeBastard: He can be quite charming when he wants something, and effortlessly convinces most people, even gifted telepaths, that he's a decent and trustworthy guy... and then, when he has them where he wants them and something doesn't go his way, comes the rage.
* TheSociopath: Almost a textbook example, he's one of the few characters in the series with no real redeeming or even likeable qualities.

!! Braddock
->A powerful vampire who's Malcolm ard'Valos scion (right-hand man and close confidante). [[spoiler:In ''Making the Cut'' becomes the sire of Miriam Bakthavar.]]

* FauxAffablyEvil: More brutal, more temperamental and less civilized than Malcolm, though he's pretty adept at pretending he isn't.
* IHateYouVampireDad: Tends to invoke this feeling in the vampires he sires, and with good reason -- but since the vampires in this universe have strong compulsions that makes them incapable of harming or disobeying their sire, the feeling is generally where it stops.
** Though one eventually got him, he sired Morgan Drauling (see her entry below.)

!! The Leanan Sidhe
->

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: As a Fae, she doesn't have a human concept of good and evil.
* TheUnfettered: She'll do anything for art.

! Supporting Characters

!! Artax
->A wizard, mostly known to the citizens of Metamor City as the somewhat weird proprietor of a magic shop called [[ShoutOut Spells 4 U]], but also a competent battle mage and teacher of younger wizards.

* TheArchmage: Willingly plays up to the stereotype by wearing a RobeAndWizardHat as his normal work clothes.
* ChivalrousPervert: Definitely has a reputation for being a bit of a DirtyOldMan, but he never acts less than honorably, and how much of the "pervert" part is genuine and how much is just him messing around with people is unclear.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Hinted to have one in ''Make Believe.''
* DeadpanSnarker: Gets creative with his snark sometimes, most obvious in the RunningGag when people asks how he knows their names/what they want/what their problems are before they've told him, and he wordlessly points to she sign over his counter, which says: ''Because I'm A Wizard, That's How!''
* {{Expy}}: He's a clear one for the wizard from the Literature/SpellsRUs shared storyverse, with the same looks, same somewhat twisted sense of humor, the same ability to know everything about his customers as soon as they enter his store, the same way of selling magic items that will backfire in really embarrassing ways unless you follow the instructions ''precisely,'' and the same fondness for turning men into sexy women. That said, there are differences: Artax is much grouchier and snarkier, but with stronger morals, than the polite and AffablyEvil ''Spells 'R' Us'' wizard, and he's also a more obviously complex character with a life of his own beyond selling magical items, as this setting treats the store and the character type a lot more seriously.
* GrumpyOldMan: Definitely has traits of this, and since he's also a very powerful wizard it can be a very bad idea to get on his wrong side.
* HiddenHeartOfGold: With his [[GrumpyOldMan Grumpy]] / DirtyOldMan reputation, his DeadpanSnarker tendencies, and his fondness for dispensing {{Cool And Unusual Punishment}}s to people who annoy him or don't properly read the instructions, he has a lot of people convinced he's an utter jerk. The truth is... [[HiddenDepths more complicated than that.]]
* LetsGetDangerous: When he sheds his normal RobeAndWizardHat and dons practical clothes instead, you ''know'' he's not screwing around anymore and someone is about to find out just how dangerous he really is.
* OlderThanHeLooks: [[spoiler: In ''Things Unseen'' it's suggested he was involved in the destruction of Telvar, over a century ago. ''Fire in the Sky'' shows that he's close to two centuries old.]]
* TheOmniscient: He can come off as this to people who just met him, in that he instantly knows their names and what they want from him the moment they set foot in his shop, but getting to know him better, it turns out he is NotSoOmniscientAfterAll, just very good at scrying and a skilled showman.
* [[spoiler:PalsWithJesus: In ''Make Believe,'' he's shown to be friends with Klepnos, the deposed trickster god.]]

!! Callie Linder
-> A "runner" (freelance agent) for the underworld in Metamor City, and the somewhat unlikely result of a union between a human woman and a succubus/angel hybrid, which has made her a bit of a CoincidenceMagnet with some strange abilities.

* BornLucky: Because of her unusual heritage, she's blessed with supernatural luck.
* CoincidenceMagnet: She's a variant of this; her heritage gives her what she calls a "chaos aura," which makes weird and unlikely things happen when she's around. The upshot of which is that this is what gives her her supernatural luck.
* GenkiGirl: Just a bit.
* KaleidoscopeEyes: One of two visible physical signs that she's not all human; her eyes change colors at random moments, and she has no control over it.
* LoveableRogue: Runners, at least the more sympathetic ones, tend to be this -- and Callie's no exception. She's uncouth, flippant, and treats the law as more of a guideline, but she has her own moral code, never tries to do more damage to people than she needs to, and is overall just a fun, charismatic person to be around.
* ManicPixieDreamGirl: She plays this role to Will in her first story appearance, but by the time they're an official couple their relationship has become a lot more nuanced.
* MessyHair: The other visible physical signs she's not all human; her hair is wild, messy and looks vaguely like a lion's mane with golden streaks in it, and utterly refuses to let itself be styled in any way.

!! David Silverleaf
-> An elf who works for the Metamor City Police Department, as Kate Kitaen's partner. He is very fond of humans and has a great interest in human culture and entertainment.

* DeadpanSnarker: Of the good-natured kind. He often makes quips and humorous observations about the world and people around him, but is never mean-spirited about it.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: As a biomancer, he has a connection with all living things and holds the firm belief that life is sacred. He can [[SpeaksFluentAnimal communicate with animals]], and sometimes does so in his investigations.
* NiceGuy: He's a good-humored, laid-back sort who truly cares for people.
* PlatonicLifePartners: With Kate.
* ProudScholarRaceGuy: Very cultured and learned, which seems to be pretty normal for elves.

!! Evan/Eva Selindi
-> A successful and sophisticated [[GenderBender androgyne]] runner who works a lot in and with the upper classes.

* ChivalrousPervert: Like most androgynes, has a strong sex drive in both male and female forms, is not at all ashamed to admit it, and frequently hits on just about everyone... but is moral enough to understand and back off when they clearly aren't interested.
* ChildHater: Okay, maybe "hater" is a strong word, but Evan is clearly not comfortable around young children and would rather be left alone by them. Eva, by contrast, ''adores'' children -- this is one of the few notable personality differences between the two forms.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Evan/Eva can be a bit of a scoundrel, but they do have moral standards and will go out of their way to make amends if they find a line has been crossed.
* FakeBrit: Speaks with an approximate upper-class English accent, though Evan's voice-actor, Tee Morris, is American, and Eva's voice-actor, Philippa Ballantine, is from New Zealand.
* GenderBender: One of Metamor City's many androgynes, with a healthy dose of AttractiveBentGender.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Can be extremely trying and demanding to have as a friend or aquaintance, has a definite ruthless streak, and will lie, cheat, steal, sleep around and manipulate people if that gets the desired result... but is also kind, generous and loving.
* LoveableRogue: Lives on the edge of the law, like all runners, but is extremely charming, witty, friendly, and even honorable -- to a point.
* PerformanceArtist: Occasionally adopts the persona of one, when an assignment calls for it.
* SplitPersonality: A variant. The male and female halves of the character, Evan and Eva, refer to each other as if they were two different people, and have slight differences in tastes and preferences, but they share memories and experiences and have very similar personalities.

!! Fiona hin'Connaill
-> An [[MasterOfYourDomain egoist]] and former lieutenant under Brian Sommers in the Psi-Ops, now one of his cell-wives and working with handling the finances for the Psi Collective.

* BerserkButton: She has a strong aversion to being made to feel helpless, and will lash out, sometimes violently, at anyone or anything that threatens to take away her power or self-control.
** Played with a little in ''Making the Cut,'' as she hates being called [[MessyHair "Frizzy"]] and pretends to be outraged at Sasha over it -- but the "fight" very quickly turns into passionate sex on the floor.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Though she [[LaserGuidedAmnesia doesn't remember most of it]], it has left its mark on her, most notably her fear of feeling helpless, and dislike of depending on anyone other than herself.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: Remembers nothing from before she was ten years old. [[DarkAndTroubledPast There turns out to be a very good reason for this]].
* LightningBruiser: Combined with GeniusBruiser; she's got strength, speed and intelligence, and as such there aren't many obstacles she can't handle.
* MasterOfYourDomain: As an egoist, this is her prominent PsychicPower.
* TheSpock: She's known for keeping a cool head in a crisis and applying ruthless logic and rationality to any problem. This does at time make her seem cold and unfeeling -- but it's actually more a coping mechanism than anything else.
* TheStoic: Can come across as a borderline EmotionlessGirl, though as her family knows, [[BeneathTheMask her feelings run much deeper than she shows the outside world.]]

!! Isri Fallon
-> A benevolent [[SuccubiAndIncubi succubus]] who lives openly among humans and runs an apartment complex called Serenity Arms, a safehaven for people from various walks of life.

* DarkIsNotEvil: While she has a penchant for chaos and a deep distrust for authority figures such as the Lightbringers, and occasionally comes close to being a WellIntentionedExtremist in dealing with them, she has a kindly disposition and a soft spot for those in distress.
* SuccubiAndIncubi: Well, yes, but not the malevolent kind. She does feed off sexual energies, but will not do so without consent and doesn't kill anyone.

!! Joe Montgomery
-> Captain of the Metamor City Police Department, a grizzled but kindly wolverine [[BeastMan theriomorph]] who has been in the game for some time.
* DaChief: In fact, pretty much a textbook example; he's tough-as-nails, cranky and slightly overweight, but also fair and honest, and definitely the kind of guy you'll be glad to have on your side in a fight.
* HappilyMarried: In ''The Lost and the Least'' we briefly meet his wife, and their relationship is clearly stable and loving.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: As DaChief, he's naturally this. He may bark and grumble and complain, but he's never anything less than fair to his subordinates and always sticks up for them.

!! Kevin Darby
-> A massage therapist, low-powered pyrokinetic and non-telepathic member of the Psi Collective, he is one of the many male psionics who gets marginalized by the Collective because he doesn't have any strong powers to pass on to future generations. It doesn't help that he's gay, either.

* HappyEndingMassage: Averted, referenced and discussed. He works as a massage therapist, but sometimes gets tired of having to tell over-eager customers that no, he doesn't do sexual massages, he isn't a sensualist, and in fact he has a steady boyfriend whom he has no intention of cheating on.
* NiceGuy: He's a serene, good-humored sort who watches out for his friends when he can.
* StraightGay: In a series, and a community, where bisexuality is common, he is one of the few people who's completely gay -- but he doesn't really display any stereotypical gay traits.

!!Michael Alfredo Perelli
-> Corporal of the Metamor City Police Department, homicide division, and total "mundane" without any supernatural powers or traits. He's a newcomer to the city and hasn't quite learned all the ropes yet, but he's got a sharp mind and keen powers of observation.

* AudienceSurrogate: In the first story, Michael is essentially there to be introduced to Metamor City along with the viewer, as well as play TheWatson so that other characters can deliver the necessary exposition.
* TheIdealist: Compared to most of his fellow cops, Michael is an idealist to the point of naivete.
* OutOfFocus: He's the main character in the first Metamor City story, ''Welcome to the City'', but after that he seems to vanish altogether from the series... until the third novel, ''The Lost and the Least'', where he is a major character.
* TheSmartGuy: The reason why he's an asset to the police department filled with magic-users and shapeshifters; his intellect and observational skills allow him to reconstruct crime scenes quicker and easier than pretty much any of his peers.
* UnfazedEveryman: He shares this role with Will, whom he has a lot in common with. They're both newcomers to the city, they're both idealists, and neither of them has any sort of magical or supernatural powers or abilities, which makes them pretty unique in a city like that.

!! Miriam Bakhtavar
-> One of the Psi Collective Elders and the Deputy Headmistress of Westfall Academy. Is turned into a vampire by Braddock and forced to spy on the Collective for the vampires, until she manages to kick off her ThanatosGambit.

* [[spoiler: DeathFakedForYou: Seralina steals her staked corpse before the sun destroys it and has Artax keep her in stasis until Braddock is killed.]]
* ICannotSelfTerminate: Upon being turned she intends to commit suicide by sunlight, but Braddock finds out and gives her a compulsion not to kill herself or help others to destroy her.
* MasterOfYourDomain: And a highly skilled one at that, [[spoiler:to the point where she can use her egoist powers after becoming a vampire, to make herself appear as a living, breathing human.]]
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: She is almost two hundred years old, but thanks to her regenerative egoist abilities still appears as a woman in her twenties.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Whereas many of the Elders get caught up in thinking of what's best for the collective as a whole and looking towards the future, and as such tend to forget the ''individuals,'' Miriam is a notable exception who truly and visibly cares for the people and is willing to hear them out.

!! Morgan Elizabeth Drauling
-> A [[OurVampiresAreDifferent vampire]] lieutenant in the police force who works in the Forensic Investigation Division; i. e. the morgue. A close friend of Kate Kitaen and David Silverleaf.

* AllLoveIsUnrequited: As the stories go on, it becomes increasingly obvious that she would very much like to be more than just friends with Kate. Kate, however, does not return the feelings... [[spoiler:until the end of ''The Lost and the Least'', when she discovers that she might like Morgan as more than a friend after all.]]
* BlueBlood: Was once the scion of House Drauling.
* DarkIsNotEvil: One of the first examples we're introduced to in the series.
* FormerTeenRebel: Unfortunately, it ended up with her joining the ranks of the undead.
* FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire: While she does have vampiric urges and occasionally lets them get the better of her if she's too hungry, she's still a kindly, compassionate soul.
* IHateYouVampireDad: She tipped Kate and David off to her sire and had them destroy him. Which conveniently broke Malcolm's domination of her, through her sire who was one of his spawn.
* LesbianVampire: Well... like so many other examples of the trope (and like so many other characters in the series) she is really bisexual, not really caring whether it's a man or a woman she's hitting on, and in fact has a distinct taste for the "exotic."
* TheMatchmaker: She's constantly trying to set Kate up with guys, usually in form of double dates. Problem is that Morgan's taste in men is wildly different from Kate's, so these dates rarely lead anywhere for Kate's part.
* SuperSmoke: One of the few transformations she's learned so far, uses it to [[spoiler: just barely save herself from splattering the pavement after being dropped off a tower]] in ''Things Unseen''.

!! Rebecca Brower
-> A gifted [[{{Seers}} esper]], artist, and member of the Psi Collective who was HighSchoolSweethearts with Daniel Sharabi, and who still harbored deep feelings for him even after she was made one of the wives in the Sommers' breeding cell.

* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Occasionally comes across as having a mild case of this.
