7	Our protagonist. Hatsune becomes the latest addition to the Irregulars after being mysteriously thrown back in time. She has a lot of personal demons regarding her mother and her past to say the least, but tries not to let them interfere with her life (A task that begins to become increasingly difficult as the story progresses). Hatsune is overall a smart and relatively friendly girl, with a strong determination to help her friends in everything they do. Admittedly she often takes the "act, don't think" approach to things and ends up messing up or hurting someones feelings as a result, but she is always quick to learn the error of her ways.

Also when Morris asks her if she reads, she claims only to "dabble", while in the author comment it is stated that this is a complete and utter lie.

Not to mention her [[spoiler: incredibly traumatic back story, as it so happens the reason she was so reluctant to get intimate with Tom is that she was raped at age 14 by a boy in her class at school who also jammed a broken bottle into her leg while he was doing so.]]
