!!Lucas [=MacGuffin=]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mgc_lucas_4078.jpg]]
* BoisterousWeakling: In his final battle with Alphonse, Lucas [[spoiler:taunts Alphonse in order to get him into the moonlight so he can turn Werewolf!Alphonse back to his normal self]]. It doesn't exactly work out that way.
* BrainsAndBrawn: In the JekyllAndHyde sense, Lucas is both of these depending on whether he assumes human form or werewolf form. While his human self can crack safes and swim, his werewolf self can break rocks, push crates, and dig.
* CursedWithAwesome: [[spoiler:Although Lucas ultimately fails in getting the amulet off,]] he still has the ability to turn into a werewolf. Even though he doesn't generally use his strength to win fights, he does use his size to intimidate others—and in one case, this intimidation leads to his home not being needlessly demolished.
* DeadpanSnarker: When he's not making {{Incredibly Lame Pun}}s about the scenery, Lucas is usually snarking about it.
* HandsomeLech: Lucas constantly flirts with Rena. And judging by how [[spoiler:he was able to carry on an affair with Anna]], he has some charm and sex appeal.
* JekyllAndHyde: Lucas and Werewolf!Lucas, respectively.
* KleptomaniacHero: See StickyFingers below.
* MagicPants: Lucas often needs to transform back and forth between his human and werewolf forms to solve puzzles. Yet, his clothes don't tear or rip much, and they're practically the perfect size for whatever form he's in. At most, his slacks tear at the knees, and he loses the white collared shirt as a werewolf.
* MenCantKeepHouse: Lucas's home has clothes and papers strewn all over the floor. Even after he gets furniture, Lucas mentions that he'll deliberately continue to throw his clothes on the floor and leave the dishes unwashed.
* TheMindIsAPlaythingOfTheBody: As a human, Lucas tends to be a bit of a coward prone to making snarky jokes. In contrast, Werewolf!Lucas would rather chase cars or howl at the moon.
* NonActionGuy: Lucas isn't much of a fighter in either human or werewolf form. He's more likely to talk his way out of complicated situations.
* TheNoseKnows: Lucas notes that he has a heightened sense of smell as a werewolf, to the point where he can smell the history of where an object has been.
* PainfulTransformation: Judging by his {{transformation sequence}}, Lucas shapeshifting into a werewolf doesn't seem to be incredibly comfortable.
* RichSuitorPoorSuitor: The poor suitor [[spoiler:to Alphonse's rich suitor in Anna's case]].
* SignificantGreenEyedRedhead: Even in werewolf form!
* StageMagician: Lucas used to practice magic before Alphonse banned stage magic in Feyre. It helps explain why he's such a good thief.
* StickyFingers: Lucas has the tendency to hold onto any loot he finds, a habit that's [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] by Strump.
* UnlikelyHero: Lucas was just an average guy trying to pay his rent before he was hired by Harvey to steal the amulet. After, he gained the power to shapeshift into a werewolf, fought and then made amends with the local street gang, worked with an IntrepidReporter to find evidence to expose the resident corrupt millionaire, [[spoiler:turned said millionaire into an even bigger and badder werewolf, and eventually confronted that millionaire and turned him into a cute, little puppy]].
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Werewolf!Lucas wears an open vest showing off his abs.
----
!!Alphonse Connell
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mgc_alphonse_6973.jpg]]
* BigBad: The entire game builds up to Lucas confronting Alphonse over the crimes he's committed against the city [[spoiler:and about Lucas's affair with Anna]].
* BigLittleBrother: Though Alphonse is Mayor Bruce's younger brother, an image of them as children shows Alphonse as the physically bigger child who bullies his older brother.
* DarkIsEvil: In contrast to Lucas, Alphonse has black hair, wears a black suit, and has grayish skin.
* EvilIsPetty: This is one of Alphonse's defining traits. Among other things, he pressured the mayor into banning the performing arts, [[spoiler:just so he could get revenge on Lucas for seducing his girlfriend]].
* ForTheEvulz: Some of Alphonse's crimes fall under this. For instance, there's no reason for him to demolish an orphanage, pollute the river, or steal candy from a baby, other than the fact that he wants to.
* IOwnThisTown: Mayor Bruce signed his authority over the city over to Alphonse, allowing him to make whatever new laws he desired.
* ManOfWealthAndTaste: In spite of his evil deeds, Alphonse's nice suit and tie show that he knows how to dress well.
* {{Narcissist}}: He has busts, statues, and paintings of himself ''everywhere''. Lucas remarks on the ridiculousness and {{squick}}iness of the partially nude, full-body statues Alphonse has in his treasury.
* RichBastard: Alphonse uses both his money and power to gain absolute control over the city and to act like a [[{{Jerkass}} petty jerk]] to Feyre's citizens, especially Lucas.
* RichSuitorPoorSuitor: The rich suitor [[spoiler:to Lucas's poor suitor. Although it seems that Lucas will end up with Anna, she actually [[TakeAThirdOption chooses neither suitor]] [[SubvertedTrope and decides to leave them both]]]].
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: In his final fight with Lucas, [[spoiler:Lucas accidentally turns him into a wide-eyed, scruffy puppy. Awww!]]
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: Alphonse uses both his money and his power to force the entire town to do what he wants.
* ShapeshifterModeLock: [[spoiler:Alphonse is stuck in werewolf form]] after he grapples with Lucas, and Lucas discovers that [[spoiler:if he doesn't change Alphonse back, he'll lose his mind and stay a werewolf forever]].
* SiblingsInCrime: With his brother, the Mayor. However, it's shown that Alphonse is the worse brother, considering he actively alters the city's laws in order to commit oppressive and evil acts, whereas his brother is more of an ObstructiveBureaucrat.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Subverted. Lucas wonders if Alphonse started out doing good things to try to improve Feyre…but then he immediately dismisses the possibility.
* WhiteCollarCrime: Alphonse has committed a few of these, such as bribing the local newspaper or embezzling funds.
----
!!P.I. Strump
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mgc_strump_3041.jpg]]
* DrowningMySorrows: Strump is seen drinking at a bar when [[spoiler:Alphonse has his badge taken away]].
* HypercompetentSidekick: Strump can reroute power from his van to open all of the locked doors in Feyre, but doesn't do so unless Lucas specifically asks him to help him solve one of the block puzzles. It's also implied that Strump also knows how to solve each room, since he gives Lucas hints.
* JadeColoredGlasses: Strump used to be a motivated hero cop before [[spoiler:Alphonse forced him off the force]]. Now, he's more obsessed with taking down Alphonse [[spoiler:for ruining his career]].
* LawmanGoneBad: Inverted. The force Strump has defected from is full of {{dirty cop}}s who work for Alphonse. Strump's been ostracized by them [[spoiler:because he refused to take bribes]].
* NoSenseOfHumor: Strump's impervious to all of Lucas's {{Incredibly Lame Pun}}s.
* ReluctantRetiree: Strump had a successful career on the force before [[spoiler:Alphonse had his badge taken away for not taking bribes and letting Alphonse's criminal activities slide]].
* TrenchcoatBrigade: The trenchcoat, five o'clock shadow, cigarettes, and hard-boiled personality are all there.
----
!!Harvey Filks
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mgc_harvey_6384.jpg]]
* EvilSmellsBad: If there's one thing Ruby and Lucas can agree on, it's that Harvey smells bad.
* CrankyLandlord: Harvey really stretches this to the extremes—not only does he bother Lucas about paying the rent, but he also threatens to raise it and forces Lucas to steal for him.
* {{Greed}}: Harvey's motivation for stealing the amulet. Harvey's motivation for doing ''anything'', actually.
* {{Jerkass}}: Harvey's never short of rude comments for Lucas.
* PetTheDog: When Lucas gives Harvey the scarf Grandma MacGuffin made for him, Harvey asks Lucas how much he wants for it. When Lucas says that it doesn't cost anything because it's a gift, Harvey's touched by the kind gesture and returns it by giving Lucas the Advanced Lockpicking Kit for free.
* SinisterSchnoz: He has a pretty huge nose, and it's not of the elegant, gorgeous kind.
----
!!Judy Grundy
* IntrepidReporter: Subverted. Though she's an investigative reporter, she has Lucas do all of the legwork for her in obtaining evidence against Alphonse.
----
!!Grim
* BadassBiker: Grim characterizes himself as this. He explains to Lucas that anarchy is the only option the Crows have for a town as corrupt as Feyre.
* ManlyFacialHair: As the leader of the Crows, Grim's beard makes him look even more tough and rugged than he already is.
* TheStoic: He doesn't even flinch when first confronted by Werewolf!Lucas.
----
!!The Crows
* AllBikersAreHellsAngels: All of the Crows have leather jackets, dark shades, tough attitudes and are prone to vandalizing the city.
* ChainPain: A few of the Crows are seen with chains as weapons instead of their trademark crowbars.
* CoolShades: All of the Crows members, with the exception of Grim, wear dark sunglasses.
----
!!Rena Curioso
* FortuneTeller: Rena sends Lucas out to get a book from the library so that she can practice Advanced Fortune Telling, by which Lucas can receive hints for secret rooms in the game.
* HotGypsyWoman: Lucas constantly flirts with Rena and remarks on her hotness.
* TattooAsCharacterType: Rena has a sleeve tattoo on her left arm that helps define her exoticness and mystical powers as a psychic.
----
!!Mayor Bruce Connell
* BaldOfEvil
* CorruptPolitician: Although Mayor Bruce isn't as corrupt as his brother, he's not below abusing his power to make Lucas's life miserable in Feyre, first by barring him from applying for a job, then trying to tear down his home.
* ObstructiveBureaucrat: Mayor Bruce makes Lucas gets four names for a petition in order to get the security guard's badge back.
* SiblingsInCrime: With his brother Alphonse. Alphonse, though, is the more powerful of the two.
* UltimateAuthorityMayor: Subverted. Although it seems like the Mayor is letting his brother abuse his power in Feyre, it's revealed that Mayor Bruce can't do anything to Alphonse because Alphonse blackmailed him into signing away all his authority to him.
----
!!Anna
%%* LadyInRed: The only time we see Anna is when she's out on a date with Alphonse and is seen wearing a red dress to Lucas's performance.
* MinorMajorCharacter: Although Anna [[spoiler:is the driving force of the animosity between Lucas and Alphonse]], she never shows up as a character--we only see her in flashbacks.
* MissingMom: [[spoiler:She leaves Ruby on Lucas's doorstep]] when she flees town, but we never learn of her reason for leaving.
* SatelliteLoveInterest: Anna is given no characterization, other than as the object of affection that [[spoiler:Alphonse and Lucas are feuding over]]. See MinorMajorCharacter above.
----
!!Ruby [=MacGuffin=]
* CheerfulChild: Ruby is always smiling and positive no matter what.
* DaddysGirl: It's evident that Lucas loves her very much and would do anything to protect her.
* DoorstopBaby: Ruby's mother leaves her on Lucas's doorstep when she leaves town.
* YouthfulFreckles
----
!!Grandma [=MacGuffin=]
* CoolOldLady: Grandma likes to party, just like the rest of Feyre.
* TextileWorkIsFeminine: Grandma, who is the only feminine figure in Ruby's life, is never seen without her knitting needles.
----
!!Professor Compton
* AbsentMindedProfessor: Compton is seen as so engrossed in his work that he forgets to feed his assistant librarians.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Compson's ramblings are completely unintelligible, apart from his need to have more coffee.
* MustHaveCaffeine: See {{Cloudcuckoolander}} above. Compton's speech seemed like complete gibberish before he had his coffee. Afterwards, it was only somewhat incomprehensible.
----
!!The Triplets (Stacy, Tracy, Gracie)
* [[CreepyTwins Creepy Triplets]]: Lucas sees the girls as this, since he thinks it's odd for them to be hanging around the park and giggling in the middle of the night.
* [[IdenticalTwinIDTag Identical Triplet ID Tag]]: Although they wear matching outfits, the triplets have different hair colors.
* [[ThemeTwinNaming Theme Triplet Naming]]: Their names rhyme.
