!!Helheim Forest
* AlienKudzu: PlayedForHorror -- more than usual, anyway. Most uses of this trope have it as a symptom of an alien threat; Helheim ''is'' the threat. It's an unfeeling force of nature, and NatureIsNotNice.
* ArcVillain: Averted. Although the Helheim arc is named after it, the New Generation Riders continued to play the role of antagonist in it.
* AssimilationPlot: Adds entire worlds to itself, converting all animal life in them into its Inves hordes.
* BigBadEnsemble: It shares the spot of the villain faction with Yggdrasill. It threatens to spread across the world, while Yggdrasill wants to contain it/exploit its power. Worse, [[spoiler:it's revealed that Earth isn't its first victim and that it's actually sentient.]]
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: According to [[spoiler:its avatar Sagara,]] it only wants to bring about the next stage of evolution.
* DontGoInTheWoods: Any normal human that enters Helheim runs the risk of getting killed by Inves or eating a Helheim fruit and turning into an Inves.
* EldritchLocation: An unearthly forest filled with monsters and covered in alien plants [[spoiler:that turn anything that eats them into more monsters.]] After TheReveal, it comes across as more like EldritchAbomination. It spreads from planet to planet, dimension to dimension, overgrowing entire worlds and converting all animal life inside them into Inves.
* GeniusLoci: As revealed in episode #42 it's not only intelligent, it has an avatar in the form of [[spoiler:DJ Sagara]]
* GreaterScopeVillain: Though its presence is a looming threat that helps fuel the ''actual'' Big Bads, Helheim is never actually confronted by any of the Riders. Since it's a sentient forest rather than a single individual, it can't be directly fought.
* HoldingBackThePhlebotinum: In a sense. Helheim is a dangerous planetary threat but it lost all physical menace around #20 as its Inves had degraded to mere mooks in power leaving Yggdrasill as the main physical threat. [[spoiler:Then the Overlords are revealed and it becomes obvious that Helheim has not been displaying its full might.]]
* HumanityOnTrial: [[spoiler:According to Sagara, Helheim's invasion is a way to judge humanity's worth in some way.]]
* PlanetaryParasite: Overgrows entire worlds.
* TheProphecy: It is said repeatedly that Helheim will someday "choose" a particular individual. What this means is unknown at the moment, except that TheChosenOne could be any of the Riders.
** [[spoiler:DJ Sagara says that Helheim has a "forbidden fruit", and whoever gets it will gain great power. He says that Helheim grants evolution "to the ones worthy of ruling the world to come".]]
* WalkingSpoiler: Its true nature is this.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Inves]]
!!Inves

The MonstersOfTheWeek summoned to fight in the Inves Game that dwell in the Helheim Forest. While the Inves Game is in action, they'll obey the one holding their Lock Seed and fight until ordered to retreat. However, should their wielder drop their Lock Seed, the Inves will go on a rampage and attack anything in sight. Some also emerge from dimensional tears that are opening to their dimension.

* AirborneMook: Eating unripe Lock Seeds cause the Mook Inves to sprout wings in #3.
* AnimalMotifs:
** BigCreepyCrawlies: The {{Mook}} class Inves seem to be insect-based, as well as the Kamikiri Inves that first appeared in #10.
** PantheraAwesome: The Byakko and [[GratuitousEnglish Lion]] Inves.
** TheMarvelousDeer: Shika Inves.
** BatOutOfHell: The Komori Inves, the Inves Ryugen went up against in his debut. There was also a mutated version of the Bat Inves genus in #9.
** FullBoarAction: The Inoshishi Inves, which was first fought as an Evolved Inves.
** OurDragonsAreDifferent: The Seiryu Inves.
** OurMonstersAreWeird: The Hekija Inves.
* BlackBlood: They seem to possess this. Strangely, the only times you see it are in a fight scene with Marika in #22, and when [[spoiler:Baron pierces Demushu with an arrow in #26]].
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: The Byakko Inves had them. The Komori Inves just has one.
* BreathWeapon: The Seiryu Inves breaths blue fire.
* DarkIsEvil: The Komori Inves.
* DegradedBoss: Inves that act as MonstersOfTheWeek often reappear as {{Mook}}s in later episodes. The basic Inves as a whole are demoted to EliteMooks by the Forbidden Fruit Saga.
* EnergyWeapon: The Komori Inves can fire a BIG black laser beam when cornered.
* EvolutionaryLevels: Keeping with the Mons theme, the Inves evolve as they eat more Lock Seeds, starting out as [[{{Mook}}s Elementary Inves]], then evolving into [[MonsterOfTheWeek Berserker-State Inves]], and finally into an [[OneWingedAngel Evolved Inves.]] If an Elementary Inves eats a whole lot of Lock Seeds it skips directly to an Evolved Inves. [[spoiler:And now there are Overlord Inves, which makes every other character look wimpy in comparison.]]
* {{Flight}}: The Komori Inves.
* TheFourGods: The Byakko Inves from #1; The Seiryu Inves from #8. It's worth noting that these Inves are different from the other Inves, as they have armor that makes them look more like jade statues.
** #40 has Redyue bringing together Byakko and Seiryu with the Phoenix and Turtle Overlords. [[AGodAmI What that says about her, though...]]
* HomeFieldAdvantage: Kouta notes that the Inves are stronger in the Helheim Forest and it shows with Gaim, Ryugen, and Baron having trouble defeating simple mook Inves.
* TheHorde: What the Inves can become when they get enough momentum going
* ImplacableMan: The Seiryu Inves in it's first appearance, afterwards the cast figure out how to kill it fairly easily.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: The Long-Horned Beetle Inves uses its antenna as a whip in battle.
* LawOfChromaticSuperiority: The red Lion Inves is the strongest Inves encountered yet, needing Jimber Lemon Arms to be taken down.
* LightningBruiser: The Evolved Shika Inves, the Seiryu Inves and the Lion Inves.
* MakeMeWannaShout: The Komori Inves.
* MeaningfulName: #20 implies that Inves is short for the English phrase [[spoiler:''invas''ive species]].
* {{Mons}}: A {{Deconstruct|edTrope}}ion of the trope, as while they're loyal so long as you hold the Lock Seed that summoned them, drop it and they'll go berserk. Uncontrolled Invase can also appear on their own, ''and'' they're disease carriers.
* MonsterOfTheWeek: The Advanced Inves, although it's zig-zagged since they appear sparingly throughout the first arc and afterwards become more akin to EliteMooks than the singular threat of an episode.
* MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily: Those bulbous bodies on the {{Mook}} Inves? [[http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131007030632/kamenrider/images/7/7b/Combined_Invase_Warrior.png Those are all jaws.]]
* {{Nerf}}: It is established in #9 that Inves summoned by Lock Seeds are much weaker than Inves that come into our world directly. Best shown with the mutated Komori Inves that could fight both Gaim and Ryugen at once and it explains why the Byakko and Seiryu Inves were so much trouble.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: The Lion Inves tearing off the Sengoku Driver's faceplate is what finally reveals the space for the Genesis Core.
* NoSell: The Seiryu Inves... until our heroes switch to blunt force weapons.
* NotSoHarmlessVillain: In its first appearances, the Komori Inves got stomped by Ryugen and Gaim on two separate occasions - the mutated one in #9 can fight both of them at once.
* OneWingedAngel: If one of the Mooks eats a mature Lock Seed, it becomes a full fledged MonsterOfTheWeek called a Berserker Inves. If one of ''those'' eats one, they turn into a giant monster called an Evolved Inves.
** If one of the Mooks eats a whole lot of Lock Seeds at once, they will evolve straight into their Evolved State!
** As #13 revealed, some Inves are this for humans like Ryoji. To clarify, humans can become Inves and gain more power, but seem to lose all sense of humanity, based off of how Inves-Ryoji was acting during #14.
* PlayingWithFire: The Shika Inves can do this, as well as the Seiryu Inves, followed by the Komori Inves.
* PowerGivesYouWings: The Lion Inves gains them after its Lock Seed malfunctions.
* PrimalStance: The Evolved Shika Inves resembled a primate more than a deer.
* PowerLevels: Lock Seed classes play a vital role in how far the Inves evolves. Combining Lock Seeds also has that effect.
* RedRightHand: The three Inves that are confirmed to have been human once all had their right hands formed differently than their left. The Byakko and Bixie had large claws, and one Komori had a blade-like talon.
* TechnicolorFire: The Seiryu Inves breathes blue fire as a sign of its power.
* VillainPedigree: The non-{{Mook}} Inves slowly become Mooks themselves. This culminates in #33, [[spoiler:where an Overlord acts as a MonsterOfTheWeek in their place.]]
* TheVirus: Indirectly. Those injured by them seem to sprout or turn into Lock Seed plants, which in turn produce immature Lock Seeds capable of transforming people into more Inves.
* WasOnceAMan: Some of them anyway, with two cases confirmed (Yuya and Hase), one suspected (a worker in #9), and who-knows-how-many-more possible.
[[/folder]]

----
!!Overlord Inves

The Overlords are all that remain of the alien civilization known as the Femushinmu. They are an elite category of Inves that managed to retain their intelligence and receive great power from their transformation, capable of controlling lesser Inves and the Helheim Forest itself.

[[folder:General Tropes]]
* AliensSpeakingEnglish: Subverted, they speak an alien language (though a cipher of Japanese). They have to ''learn'' Japanese, and even then they aren't {{Instant Expert}}s except for Rosyuo.
* BrilliantButLazy: They have godlike power, but don't really do much with it. Beyond just power, Redyue is able to grasp the basics of Japanese in just a few hours and Demushu follows shortly. Rosyuo masters Japanese ''fluently'' in the same amount of time.
* ColorfulThemeNaming: When translated from their CypherLanguage.
* CypherLanguage: After their first major episode, [[http://www.tokunation.com/showpost.php?p=341872&postcount=42 fans were able to translate their language back into Japanese.]]
* DiscOneFinalBoss: They act as the main antagonists for the mid point of the show, but are defeated before the final act leaving the Kamen Riders themselves as the final villains.
* DyingRace: By the time we meet them, only a handful are still alive, the rest having killed each other off a ''long'' time ago. [[spoiler:By the end of the series, they're extinct.]]
* {{Foil}}: Redyue notes that all Overlords are this to the Armored Riders. The Overlords survived Helheim by using its powers to permanently mutate into Inves, while the Armored Riders safely channel Helheim's power while retaining their humanity to conquer Helheim. Basically, the Overlords gave into Helheim while humanity conquered the forest.
* GenocideFromTheInside: [[spoiler:The reason why there's so few Femushinmu in the present day is because the Overlords massacred the weaker members of their kind.]]
* GoMadFromTheIsolation: According to Redyue, living in the forest for so long has made them really, really bored. To the point where they attack Kouta and Kaito just to get some entertainment.
* GodzillaThreshold: As a faction they are this. They are so powerful that them mobilizing causes every active Rider to team up to defeat them [[spoiler:(except Micchy, who joins them). And their defeat causes to Riders to turn on each other again.]]
* GreenThumb: They control the plants of Helheim the same way they control other Inves.
* HopeCrusher: The Overlords are very good at inspiring fear, causing {{Heroic BSOD}}s, and driving people past the DespairEventHorizon. The funny thing is that half the time this is happening on accident.
* HumanAliens: Implied to be their original forms as Femushinmu, if the Overlord Queen and Lapis were anything to go by.
* IronicNickname: Ryoma dubbed them the Overlords [[spoiler:but in the end, they were just Helheim's pawns.]]
* ItCanThink: Unlike regular Inves, they were able to contain Helheim's power while keeping their mind. They can also still ''speak''.
* MonsterKnight: They wear armor and carry weapons, setting them apart from their brethren.
* MonsterLord: As their name implies, they can command lower Inves forms and are basically the rulers of Helheim.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: It would probably take a lot less than ten years for Helheim to overtake Earth if the Overlords were leading its invasion, yet they seem content to just sit around doing nothing, letting the forest do all the work. On the flip side, they also don't care to restrain Helheim either. This is all justified, as Rosyuo doesn't ''want'' to take over Earth, but doesn't particularly care for humanity either.
* SimilarSquad: To three of the four main Riders, and [[spoiler:Lapis from the summer movie]] is considered to be the fourth. Their colors and regional armor designs are an almost exact match, and their personalities aren't too far off either. While they could easily come off as a set of PsychoRangers, the more complex morality at this point in the series means not all of them are evil [[spoiler:while not all their Rider counterparts are good]].
* TheSociopath: ''Nearly all'' of them, save for [[AntiVillain Rosyuo]].
* {{Telepathy}}: They are able to communicate with each other through telepathy. Rosyuo in particular is also able to MindRape the others through this.
* TimeAbyss: How long they've been around is unknown, but, seeing as they survived the fall of their civilization, however long their civilization took to destroy itself, and for a long enough span of time that it's nigh impossible to tell Helheim ''was'' a civilized world at one time, they're most likely this trope.
* WalkingSpoiler: The fact that Helheim has "rulers" is a pretty big twist in the show.
* WasOnceAMan: Like all Inves, but Overlords somehow gained great power from Helheim instead of becoming mindless beasts.

[[folder:Demushu]]
!!Demushu
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Creator/TomokazuSugita (voice), Daisuke Satō (suit)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deemushu_inves.png]]
[[caption-width-right:250:[[labelnote:Demushu Evolved Form]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/demushuevolution.png[[/labelnote]]]]

The first Overlord-class Inves introduced. Demushu is bellicose and armed with a formidable array of powers.
----
* AnnoyingArrows: Shrugs off Baron's Lemon Energy arrow, though it leaves a scar.
* ArcVillain: Can be seen as this for the Overlord Saga, as his arrival kicks it off [[spoiler:and his demise ends it.]]
* AuthorityEqualsAssKicking: Demushu is the Overlord that shows us why they are on the top of Helheim.
* AxCrazy: He's short tempered, violent, and when he loses his cool bad things happen.
* BadassCape: A rather regal one to contrast his thuggish demeanor.
* {{BFS}}: Fights with one.
* BloodKnight: Seems to be all he lives for.
* TheBrute: War and death are all he thinks about. Ironically, he is the weakest of the main three Overlords, being effortlessly defeated by Kouta's Kiwami Arms. Putting this in perspective: Redyue can fight against it to a standstill, while Rosyuo is perfectly able to curbstomp it.
* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Demushu" translates to "Shinku", or "Crimson".
* CurbStompBattle: Kaito didn't even get one clean hit in #23. Neither does Kouta in #24.
** [[spoiler:Finally ends up on the receiving end once Kouta accesses Kiwami Arms in #32.]]
* EvilCounterpart: To Baron. Both are red, have a European armor themed design, and are characterized by their drive for power. [[spoiler:Demushu embodies the kind of powerful individuals, who gleefully and freely trample the weak underfoot, that Kaito seeks to rid the world of]].
* EvilLaugh: Usually does this when he's hurting someone.
* EvilSoundsDeep: The first Overlord to be shown and starts the tradition of them having deep, powerful voices.
* ForTheEvulz: On top of his envy, Demushu freely admits he enjoys hurting people for the sake of hurting them.
* GreenEyedMonster: When asked why [[spoiler:he begins destroying the city with no provocation]], he replies that he hates humanity for still having what his species has lost.
* HairTriggerTemper: He's the most violent and badmouthed of all Overlord Inves.
* HateSink: He is a vicious warmongering BloodKnight Overlord Inves who desires to imperil others he deems weaker than him and can easily be vexed at what he considers anything to be an insult to him.
* TheHeavy: His love of war and vendetta against Kaito make the Overlords take more interest in Earth, kicking off their invasion.
* HotBlooded: To psychopathic levels.
* ImplacableMan: In all of his fights he's fought multiple Riders in succession and keeps going, even when his opponents tag out or have had a chance to recuperate while he hasn't.
* {{Jerkass}}: Demushu is a rude, vicious, violent thug, and that's all there is to him.
* KickThemWhileTheyAreDown: Does this with sadistic glee in #31.
* KilledOffForReal: With the debut of [[spoiler:Kiwami Arms in #32.]]
* KnightOfCerebus: Demushu has always been bad news but when he escapes to Earth he effortlessly destroys [[{{Masquerade}} The Masquerade]] and begins the shows DarkestHour.
* LargeHam: He's like a Japanese [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Lord Zedd]].
* MagicKnight: A hulking knight monster that has a plethora of mystic powers to compliment his martial strength.
* TheMcCoy: He's a raging low-functional sociopath to contrast Redyue's spockish psychopathy and Rosyuo's sanity.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: His RoaringRampageOfRevenge against Kaito caused Takatora to become aware of another way to save humanity, causing him to support Kouta.
* OmnicidalManiac: His social Darwinism reaches this level. He just wants people to hurt, subjugate, and kill each other until there's only one last man standing.
* OneManArmy: Levels city blocks easily and can fight six Kamen Riders at once.
* OneWingedAngel: His Evolved Form.
* PlayingWithFire: His main magic offensive.
* {{Pride}}: His ego seems to trump even Kaito's.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Goes ballistic when Kaito wounds him, killing everything he can get his hands on while trying to find him.
* ProudWarriorRaceGuy: Deconstructed. His pride in his combat prowess just shows that he's nothing more than a monstrous sadist.
* {{Sadist}}: It becomes obvious that Demushu likes the "hurting people" part of combat much, much more than the "fighting people" part.
* ShouldersOfDoom: Gains these after getting his OneWingedAngel form.
* SuperSmoke: Seems to be able to turn into this to quickly move around and attack.
* SuperToughness: While it harmed him, taking a direct hit from Kaito's Lemon Energy finisher did a lot less damage to him than one would expect.
* ScarsAreForever: Retains a large scar that Kaito gave him during their second battle.
* ShadowArchetype: Is this to Kaito, who's visibly disturbed at one point by one of Demushu's rants about power. [[spoiler:Notably, when Kaito becomes Lord Baron, he heavily resembles Demushu.]]
* SirSwearsALot: He sure likes the word "bastard".
* SonOfAnApe: Refers to humans as 'apes' whenever he talks to them.
* SocialDarwinist: To omnicidal extremes.
* SorcerousOverlord: Pun aside, Demushu wields a tremendous amount of magical(?) power in addition to its physical skill with a sword.
* TeleportSpam: Uses this tactic whenever he's calm.
* ThisCannotBe: His reaction to losing [[spoiler:to Kouta]].
--> '''Demushu''': This can't...this can't be! I can't lose...to you pathetic apes!
* VillainousBreakdown: Does ''not'' take being wounded by Kaito well.
* WakeUpCallBoss: He is the weakest of the main three Overlords, but defeating him still required TheHero to accept nearly godlike powers. This shows the series is really upping the ante in terms of power levels.
* WarIsGlorious: Holds this mindset; it helps to show how horrible a person he is.
* WeComeInPeaceShootToKill: The package containing a Japanese dictionary and a [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_plaque pioneer plaque]] (with an Inves added in the diagram) shows that Kaito is willing to try communicating with the Overlord before anything else. Unfortunately, Demushu isn't having any of it, and the gesture simply enrages him.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Redyue]]
!!Redyue
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Creator/KenjiroTsuda (voice), unknown suit actor
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/krga_redyue_0.png]]

The second Overlord-class Inves. Eerily similar to Ryugen in color and design. Redyue is calmer and much more intelligent than Demushu, but is no less malevolent, wanting a 'toy' to alleviate the boredom of existing in Helheim for so long.
----
* AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs: In #32, Redyue [[spoiler:has Helheim infect Yggdrasill tower, turning it into the Overlords' main base of operations on Earth.]]
* AdmiringTheAbomination: Inverted: the childish, sadistic Redyue reacts with glee when she sees how ruthless humans are [[spoiler:when the world governments try to nuke Zawame City just to have a chance to kill her.]]
** Also inverted with [[spoiler:Micchy]]. She finds his madness to be the most interesting thing it the world.
* ArcVillain: For the Forbidden Fruit arc. While Rosyuo is the leader of the Overlords, Redyue is the leader of their invasion of Earth and was an evil monster long before Rosyuo ruined their world.
* AxCrazy: She hides it better than Demushu, but this bitch is fucked up in the head.
* TheBaroness: A textbook Rosa Klebb: cunning, sadistic, and aggressively desexualised.
* BastardUnderstudy: She serves Rosyuo, but is just biding her time to get the Forbidden Fruit from him. The reason she helps him with the scheme to revive the Overlord Queen is so he'll pass on the Fruit to her.
* BatmanGambit: All of #34 was a magnificent one of hers. [[spoiler:By declaring war on humanity, she got them to try and use some ICBM's to kill her, which in turn forces Rosyuo to get off his throne and act as a deterrent to future incursions, while at the same time bringing a good portion of humanity past the DespairEventHorizon once they see how powerful the Overlords are.]]
* BigBadDuumvirate: After taking [[spoiler:Micchy]] under her wing, she forms a partnership with him and together they serve as the main villains of the "Forbidden Fruit" arc, although Redyue is by far the more dominant one.
* BigBadEnsemble: Shares this position with Ryoma, particularly during the Forbidden Fruit Saga where she acts as the Inves invasion's military leader and becomes the ''de facto'' BigBad for a time, after which [[spoiler:Kaito]] takes over in the final arc.
* BreakThemByTalking: Tries to break everyone she talks too, but #41 was pretty much her ''being'' this trope with a heavy dose of MindScrew.
* TheChessmaster: "Everything is moving as I desired."
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: And proud of it.
* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Redyue" translates to "Hisui", meaning "Emerald" or "Jade".
* TheCorrupter: To Rosyuo. After she begins scheming he becomes much more villainous. [[spoiler:She's also this to Mitsuzane, finishing where Sid left off, wanting to complete his transformation into a complete and total villain so they're exactly alike.]]
** She tries to be this to [[spoiler:Kouta in #40. It doesn't work, but she got closer than anyone else.]]
* CreepyMonotone: Her contralto is always clipped and emotionless.
* CombatPragmatist: Makes up for her physical weaknesses by using Helheim fauna traps and by using the terrain for cover.
* CurbStompBattle: [[spoiler:Considering all the crap she's put everyone through, it's actually almost disappointing how quickly Kouta took her down. Almost.]]
* DarkActionGirl: Capable of fighting Kiwami Arms and is quite possibly the most dangerous Overlord in terms of her threat to humanity.
* DespotismJustifiesTheMeans: Redyue wants to take the Forbidden Fruit just to be king and wants to conquer Earth because she thinks it will be a nice new toy.
* DistaffCounterpart:
** She's Mitchy if he let go of all his morals.
** Also one to Ryoma as well, both being the manipulative {{Evil Genius}}es of their factions who plot against their leaders.
* TheDragon: The one Rosyuo entrusts to command Earth's invasion for him.
* DragonInChief: While Rosyuo is the leader of the Overlords and technically much more powerful than her, he can hardly be arsed to do much, while Redyue is the one that's actually motivated to conquer Earth, and the one who commands the invasion and comes up with evil schemes, making her the ''de facto'' BigBad.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: [[spoiler:The idea Kouta might be selfless enough to care about the people of the world more than himself or ruling the world never occurs to her. As a result, her attempt to tell him WeCanRuleTogether blows up in her face by convincing Kouta to be willing to give up his humanity to fight the Overlords and save the world, ultimately resulting in her demise.]]
* EvilChancellor: Acts as Rosyuo's advisor in what's left of his DecadentCourt. She plots to usurp him too.
* EvilCounterpart:
** To Ryugen, which is quite a feat at this point. Both are primarily green, have a Chinese armor themed design, and are insanely (as in ''literally'' insanely) manipulative.
** She is also one to [[spoiler:DJ Sagara]]. He appeals to Rosyuo's morality and wants him to give humanity a chance, while Redyue tries to tempt him into complete villainy.
* EvilFeelsGood: Gives an entire speech about how ruining peoples lives is the most satisfying thing to do.
* EvilGenius: Fills this role for the Overlords. She's highly intelligent and shows herself to be a capable inventor, with her quickly mastering Earth's sciences and figuring out how to fuse it with the Overlords' own technology to create a machine capable of ''reviving the dead''. She's also adept at learning new languages, as she picks up Japanese in less than a day. And she's incredibly cunning and manipulative on top of that.
* EvilLaugh: Whenever she finds a really interesting new toy.
** [[spoiler:Really rips an epic one when she finally betrayed Rosyuo.]]
* EvilMentor: [[spoiler:To Micchy. She wants to transform him into someone who's on "her level" as she puts it.]]
* EvilSoundsDeep: A RareFemaleExample. That's what happens when you get a male voice actor to voice a female despot.
* FauxAffablyEvil: She always speaks in a soft spoken and controlled manner even when committing genocide.
* TheFinalTemptation: Gives this to Kouta in #40 [[spoiler:by telling him the humans will no longer accept him now that he's an Overlord and that he should join her in ruling the planet.]]
* ForTheEvulz: Redyue lives by this trope. She flat out admits that the reason why she does anything is because she loves breaking people.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: She was once a village girl. Now she a monstrous sadist that is one of the greatest threats Earth has ever seen.
* GlassCannon: Redyue is very fast, competent enough in close combat, and has enough destructive power to rival Kiwami arms, but compared to the rest of the Overlords she doesn't tank damage very well.
* HateSink: She is malevolent Overlord, wanting to wanting a 'toy' to alleviate the boredom of existing in Helheim for so long and is plain manipulative in general.
* TheHeavy: Takes the role from Demushu after Rosyuo gives the official order to attack Earth, becoming the main face and power of Helheim's first actual military assault, giving the invasion a proper leader.
* HumanResources: [[spoiler:Begins kidnapping humans to power a device that will revive Rosyuo's Queen at the cost of God knows how many human lives.]]
* IGaveMyWord: Promises [[spoiler:Micchy]] that she won't hurt any human chosen for his version of Project Ark. [[spoiler:She breaks her word, but Micchy, being Micchy, doesn't care, thinking that they deserved it.]]
* ILetYouWin: Threw her fight against [[spoiler:Sid and Micchy in #31]] so she could lead them to Rosyuo [[spoiler:and have him kill the two]].
* IntriguedByHumanity: Seems so. The girl not only learned Japanese in what amounted to a day or a few days, but also seems to be the most fascinated by humans in general, especially when compared to her [[BloodKnight counterpart.]]
* InTheBack: [[spoiler:How she starts her murder of Rosyuo.]]
* ItAmusedMe: Seems to be more this than [[ForTheEvulz Demushu]]. While she ''does'' enjoy suffering, she seems to see no difference between learning Japanese and seeing a human beaten up so long as it alleviates her boredom.
* LastOfHisKind: [[spoiler:She becomes the sole remaining Overlord after killing Rosyuo. For about one and a half minutes, anyway.]]
* MadScientist: And it took her less than a day to get a doctorate in morally bankrupt science.
* {{Magitek}}: All of her mad science is created by combing Yggdrasill tech with her species mysticism.
* ManipulativeBitch: She's the master manipulator Micchy thinks he is. Every scene she's in she's manipulating someone: Rosyuo, Kouta, [[spoiler:Micchy himself]], the governments of the world.
* MeaningfulName: Redyue is Overlord speak for Jade. Not only does she look like a jade statue, but all of the Green Inves seen have a jade statue feel to them, with Hekija having a brass coloring.
* MeetTheNewBoss: Takes the reigns from Demushu as the main antagonist and proves to be infinitely more monstrous than he ever was.
* MoreDeadlyThanTheMale: The only confirmed female of the Overlords and is also the most sadistic and monstrous of the species, taking over from Demushu after his death, and proving to be far worse than he ever was.
* {{Necromancer}}: Creates a machine that can revive the dead.
* NervesOfSteel: She keeps her cool, even when she's overpowered.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: [[spoiler:In #40, Redyue tried to get Kouta to give up his humanity and join the Inves side. It backfired on her spectacularly when not only does he not join her, him giving up his humanity granted him Overlord power - power that Kouta used to kill her]]. To make matters worse, [[spoiler:Kouta prior to that point had huge doubts about himself after what happened with Yuya. Redyue pretty much just gave Kouta the means to finally move on from Yuya's death and allowed him to gain an unwavering resolve]].
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: [[spoiler:She kills Rosyuo by beating him to death.]]
* ObfuscatingStupidity: Pretends to be a G1 Starscream in competence when she is actually a ''Cybertron'' level one.
* OutGambitted: [[spoiler:By Rosyuo.]]
* PracticallyJoker: She is an anarchist who loves to see the world burn and people suffer in despair. She is not above MindRape and is a Psychopath who laughs and is colored green she is basically Kamen Rider's answer to ComicBook/TheJoker as well as [[ComicBook/NormanOsborn Green Goblin]].
* PsychopathicWomanchild: Type C. An intelligent sophisticated being that treats humans like they're her newest toys. Also has traits of Type E, as she seems to see little difference between learning Japanese and seeing a human hurt.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: This trope even sounds like her name.
* ReminiscingAboutYourVictims: She enjoyed telling the story about how she killed her entire family way too much.
* SecondaryColorNemesis: Her palette is a mix of shades of green, mostly jade, and she's the worst of the Overlords.
* SelfMadeOrphan: She killed her entire family ''for fun'' stating that it was one of the most satisfying things she ever did.
* SerialKiller: Started out with killing her family and given how many "toys" she has played with, it's obvious that she didn't stop there.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only female Overlord revealed thus far.
* SoftSpokenSadist: Speaks quietly and calmly, finds great pleasure in watching Kouta get beaten to a pulp and admits that her greatest joy in life is when one of her toys die from despair.
* SuperIntelligence: Mastered most of Earth's languages in a couple of weeks and managed to adapt near-future Earth technology (which was way beyond her civilization's tech-level) into [[spoiler:a machine capable of raising the dead]] in a matter of days.
* TheSpock: Of the soulless sociopath variant.
* TheStarscream: Micchy suspected the reason she led him and Sid to the Forbidden Fruit was to kill Rosyuo. She could then finished off the duo and have the Forbidden Fruit for herself. This fails, considering it's [[PhysicalGod Rosyuo]].
** Later played straighter when [[spoiler:she literally stabs Rosyuo InTheBack to steal the Golden Fruit for herself. Unfortunately, since Rosyuo had already bequeathed the majority of its power to Mai, this turns out to be all for naught when all Redyue gets is a rotten husk. [[VillainousBreakdown She takes this rather badly]]]].
* ISurrenderSuckers: An odd example. Redyue surrenders, but doesn't strike back. Instead leading her opponents to Rosyuo so that ''he'' can kill them. [[spoiler:She gets interested when one of them refuses to go and cites it being a trap]].
* ThisCannotBe: Her last words before [[spoiler:Kouta finishes her off for good.]]
* TakeOverTheWorld: Wants to conquer Earth for herself solely because she's begun to find Helheim boring and wants to see what its like to rule a concrete jungle.
* UriahGambit: Tricks [[spoiler:Sid]] into fighting Rosyuo to see what would happen.
* VictoryIsBoring: Because there are no more lives to ruin.
* VillainTakesAnInterest: Yet another villain that finds Micchy interesting; this will ''not'' end well.
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:After backstabbing Rosyuo and finding out the "Golden Fruit" she took from him was a withered husk. She goes ''utterly berserk'', in direct contrast to her normal calculating demeanor.]]
* VocalDissonance: Redyue is officially female, but she doesn't sound like one.
* WeCanRuleTogether: Offers [[spoiler:Micchy a chance to become her [[TheDragon right hand man]] so he can control humanity while she toys with it. [[TheQuisling He accepts]].]]
** [[spoiler:Also attempted to do this to Kouta, stating that no mater what he does, humanity will reject him in the end. He tells her where to stick it.]]
* WomenAreWiser: Both the only female Overlord and the smartest by far, capable of feats of outright SuperIntelligence.

!!Rosyuo
!!!'''Portrayed by:''' Creator/JojiNakata (voice), Yasuhiko Imai (suit)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/krga_rosyuo_7.png]]

A white-colored Overlord. He is Demushu and Redyue's superior and the "King" of the Overlords, and by extension of Helheim and the Inves.
----
* AffablyEvil: To the point where he isn't even really evil.
* AntiVillain: Isn't really evil anymore, having long abandoned his SocialDarwinist philosophy. He doesn't want to destroy mankind, he merely thinks giving them what could save them would be a wasted effort, as he believes they're no different from his kind and would only destroy themselves with it. Even then, he's willing to give them a chance to prove him wrong.
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Gives one to [[spoiler:Takatora]].
--> '''Rosyuo''': Is that tool there for defending the weak? Or will it tempt the strong to sin?
* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: He fought his way to the top of Helheim. He's in charge for a reason.
* BadBoss: Justified. His subjects are all violent psychopaths, so he makes an effort to keep them on a very short leash. Takatora could learn from his management style.
* BadGuysDoTheDirtyWork: [[spoiler:He kills Sid, doing pretty much everyone a favor. Sid really shouldn't have tried to pick a fight with a demigod.]]
* TheBadGuyWins: He was his world's answer to Kaito, and conquered the planet with Helheim's power. [[MeaninglessVillainVictory He wishes]] [[WasItReallyWorthIt he hadn't.]]
* BeingEvilSucks: Is perfectly aware that being an all-powerful EvilOverlord is a worthless endeavor that has left him with nothing but death and destruction.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Isn't a bad guy really, and while brutal on his minions, it's more because he ''needs'' to be than because he ''wants'' to be. He even [[spoiler:saves Takatora's life and lets him stay with him. However, while he does offer Sid a chance to save himself, when he doesn't take it, he dishes out one of the most brutal Rider deaths ever.]]
* {{BFS}}: Occasionally carries a huge sword.
* BoomerangBigot: He hates his own species. Not hard to see why.
* TheChosenOne: He was the one chosen by Helheim back in his cycle and now acts as the guardian of the Forbidden Fruit
* ColorfulThemeNaming: "Rosyuo" translates to "hakua", meaning "chalk".
* TheCynic: Believes that HumansAreBastards and will turn out just as bad as his species did.
* DeconstructedCharacterArchetype: Of the common depiction of TheSocialDarwinist. As revealed in Rosyuo's backstory, he used to believe that only the strong were worthy of living in the world he would create while the weak were only fit to be used in whatever way they deemed fit, and due to winning the Golden Fruit, he was about to turn his personal philosophy into actual law for his subjects to follow. The end result was his race hunting each other down until about five were left by the beginning of the show, turning their world into the desolate ruins seen in the modern day. Rosyuo has had many years to realize the inherent foolishness of those beliefs and now has to live with the fact that he caused the end of his race, not Helheim, until the end of his days.
* DimensionLord: As Man of the Beginning, he rules over the Helheim Forest dimension.
* DontMakeMeDestroyYou: [[spoiler:Tells Sid to just turn around and leave so he won't have to kill him. Sid doesn't take it, and Rosyuo keeps his word.]]
* DoNotTauntCthulhu: [[spoiler:Despite his redeeming qualities and generally being more of a guardian than a villain, he is ''not'' someone you want to piss off. Just ask what's left of Sid. He even offered him a chance to just run, which he didn't take.]]
* TheDreaded: He makes sure his vassals have a healthy fear of him.
* EmptyShell: Redyue describes him as one, and she's not exaggerating by much - he's well past the DespairEventHorizon, with no motivation other than to [[spoiler:resurrect his dead wife]].
* EvilOverlord: Deconstructed and justified. Rosyuo beat his way to the top of Helheim's food chain and now rules with an iron fist. In doing so, he now rules over an empty shell of a world, and has lost everything but the most cutthroat of his followers. Rosyuo really isn't evil anymore, but all of his remaining subjects are murderous psychopaths so he acts as a ruthless despot to keep them in line.
* EvilSoundsDeep: It's Creator/JojiNakata voicing a toku villain.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Even when [[spoiler:Redyue's]] stabbing him and beating the stuffing out of him, Rosyuo barely reacts, just telling his love he will be with her soon.
* FamilyUnfriendlyDeath: [[spoiler:Rosyuo had a hole blasted through his chest, was then beaten to death by Redyue, who then stabbed his corpse over and over again after learning that he didn't have the Forbidden Fruit. How did Urobuchi get away with that?[[note]]The fact that the camera doesn't ACTUALLY show Rosyuo's body being stabbed and kicked, and leaving the audience to buy that it is happening probably helps[[/note]]]]
* FallenHero: Rosyuo originally wanted to save his world from Helheim.
* FertileFeet: Helheim plants grow where he walks, fitting for Helheim's ChosenOne.
* {{Foil}}: To Zangetsu. Both are white, resemble samurai, are on another level than the Riders/Overlords shown before them, and while they aim for their goals, they get undermined by their subordinates' own plans. The main difference is in their level of cynicism - Takatora was cynical enough to use questionable methods to save humanity, but Rosyuo is a nihilist who thinks we'd be better off receiving a collective MercyKill before we wipe ourselves out.
* GoodAngelBadAngel: [[spoiler:DJ Sagara]] is his good angel, while Redyue is the bad angel.
* GoodIsNotSoft: He's easily the least malevolent Overlord in the series and was nice enough to save [[spoiler:Takatora's life and let him stay with him]]. He also generally tries to keep his minions in line, and even offered Sid a chance to just leave with his life. However, when Sid didn't take it, Rosyuo killed him. Brutally.
* GoodRunningEvil: Zig-zagged. He's long since stopped being evil and regrets his past actions, but considering his remaining subjects are all violent barbarians, he has to show force every once in a while to keep them in line, and the death of his wife and downfall of his entire civilization have left him without much motive to do anything.
* HiddenDepths: [[spoiler:Takatora is found and patched up by Rosyuo, who tells him about the former inhabitants of Helheim. Furthermore, Rosyuo appears to have genuinely loved his queen and wants to bring her BackFromTheDead.]]
* HiddenHeartOfGold: Rosyuo goes out of his way to nurse Takatora back to health, defends him from Sid, and genuinely loved his wife. He bears no malice towards humanity, but is so burned out and nihilistic he is initially unwilling to save them either.
* HumansAreBastards: Is of this opinion, believing they're just as power hungry and monstrous as his species was. He believes the Forbidden Fruit would be wasted on them and even if they got it, they'd only destroy themselves with its power. However, he's still willing [[spoiler:to give Sagara a piece of the Forbidden Fruit to test Kouta to see if he's worthy.]] So while he believes this trope is true, he's still willing to give them a chance. [[spoiler:And he does.]]
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler:Redyue kills him by stabbing him from behind.]]
* ItIsBeyondSaving:
** [[spoiler:In #35, after seeing that humanity is perfectly willing to nuke a city filled with innocent people just to kill two Overlords, he writes humanity off as a lost cause and unleashes the full might of Helheim onto Earth.]]
** He's also of this opinion about his own race, and part of his belief humans will just kill themselves off if they get the Forbidden Fruit is that that's exactly what his kind did. While he can't resurrect the dead, he's more than capable of creating new life however he chooses, but would rather just let his species reap what they've sowed and die out.
* TheJuggernaut: Before we even see him fight, we're shown the ridiculous levels of power he has access to, with complete control of both the inves and the cracks on a global scale, as well as being able to freeze a huge barrage of missiles in mid air before teleporting them to the other side of the planet where they proceeded to take a chunk out of America. When he finally goes up against Gaim and Baron after he gave away the forbidden fruit to Mai, it's almost laughably one-sided. He hits harder than both of them put together, his telekinesis means he can throw them around like ragdolls and the one solid hit that does land doesn't seem to hurt him and heals almost instantly. Then he goes one on one with Kiwami and just annihilates him. The only thing that saved Gaim was Rosyuo and Redyue's backstabbing.
* TheKirk: The only Overlord that is rational or sane.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Though saddened by their deaths, he admits that the Overlords that died deserved what they got which is why he doesn't hate humanity for it.
* LastSecondChance: After a talk with [[spoiler:DJ Sagara]] he decides to give humanity a chance to prove that they're not as horrible as his species was.
* TheLostLenore: His dead queen, who he's shown to still pine for and keep her coffin in sight of his wrecked throne room. [[spoiler:He also desires to bring her back to life.]]
* MacGuffinGuardian: Is the guardian of the Forbidden Fruit.
* MeaninglessVillainVictory: He succeeded in becoming Helheim's ruler and establishing the Darwinistic society he envisioned, but the steps it took to there, the loss of his civilization, and the death of his beloved wife have left him a broken man.
* MindOverMatter: Has extremely powerful telekinesis, enough to ''literally'' split mountains.
* MindRape: Does this to Demushu while talking to him telepathically in #27.
* MirrorCharacter: To Takatora. Both are associated with the color white and both are well-meaning figures in charge of villainous factions.
* MisanthropeSupreme: Hates both his own species and humanity, thinking that when faced with adversity the weak ones will become cowardly backstabbers while the strong become violent despots.
* {{Necromantic}}: Rosyuo's main goal is the revival of [[spoiler:his Queen]], who died at some point prior to the series.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Averted. An oddity for a ''Kamen Rider'' monster, Rosyuo doesn't explode when he dies and leaves behind a corpse. [[spoiler:Also Justified as he did not die to a Rider finisher charged with energy.]]
* NothingPersonal: He bears humanity no ill will and doesn't hate them for any Overlords deaths.
* OnlyTheChosenMayWield: Firmly believes this about the Forbidden Fruit and refuses to give it over to anyone else. [[spoiler:He eventually chooses Mai.]]
* OnlySaneMan: For the Overlords. He's the only one who realizes that how horrible the species has really become.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Justified once more. Rosyuo doesn't ''want'' to destroy the Earth but his vassals do, so he uses all of his power to keep them off the game board.
* PetTheDog: [[spoiler:He agrees to Micchy's request to guard Mai from Redyue.]]
* PhysicalGod: Presumably, considering he obtained the Forbidden Fruit. What we've seen of him only supports the possibility. However, his power does have limits, as he laments that even with all he power he can do nothing about death.
* PowerFloats: When he wants to make people fear his power.
* RedBaron: King of the Overlords.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: As long as you aren't [[{{Sadist}} Demushu]], [[PsychopathicWomanchild Redyue]], or [[spoiler:[[EvilIsPetty Micchy]]]], he'll listen to you and hear you out.
* SacredHospitality: He doesn't take kindly to people attacking people he's nursing [[spoiler:as Sid discovers]].
* SecretTestOfCharacter: [[spoiler:His entire fight with Kaito and Kouta was a test to see their moral character.]]
* ShadowArchetype: He is what Kouta would have been had he failed in the final battle, a bitter, miserable shell of himself surrounded by monsters and having lost the love of his life. He's also one to Kaito--if Kaito had won, he'd have become a second Rosyuo.
* TheSocialDarwinist: What he once was; the new world that he created was based on these rules and only the strong survived, but these remaining inhabitants ended up destroying each other, with Rosyuo and his Overlord vassals being the only remaining members of their species.
* SuperPowerLottery: Fitting for the WorldsStrongestMan Rosyuo can fly, has mountain shattering telekinesis, can teleport, is a MasterSwordsman, can manipulate electricity and blue fire, has a powerful HealingFactor, has complete control over Helheim, and can create life.
* SympathyForTheDevil: He mourns the deaths of all of the deceased Overlords, even though he knows how horrible they all are.
* SympathyForTheHero: [[spoiler:When meeting with Takatora and Kouta he is nothing but sympathetic to the suffering they endured.]]
* TakeUpMySword: After he dies, Kouta literally takes up Rosyuo's {{BFS}} and uses it to give [[spoiler:Redyue]] an extremely satisfying beatdown.
* TokenGoodTeammate: He's the only Overlord who's halfway decent.
* VillainTakesAnInterest:
** He takes an interest in Takatora and nurses him back to health after finding him injured. He seems to respect Takatora as a fellow leader for his people and takes time to impart some advice onto him before letting him go once he's recovered.
* VillainousRescue: Saves the day in #34, when [[spoiler:the world governments try to nuke Zawame City he puts an end to that plan in the most awesome way possible.]]
* WasItReallyWorthIt: No. No it wasn't, and Rosyuo is completely aware of it.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: [[spoiler:He stole humanities' Forbidden Fruit and had a chance to revive his Queen with it, but after a talk with Sagara he decides to give humanity a second chance.]]
* WhoWantsToLiveForever: Has outlived his mate and his entire civilization, having had a ''long'' time to think about what he's done and has come to regret it.
* WorfHadTheFlu: He was fighting the heroes with just a ''husk'' of the Forbidden Fruit, having given the rest to Mai. Yes, the utter curbstomping he gives Gaim and Baron was him ''weakened''. [[spoiler:This is also probably why Redyue was ''able'' to kill him period.]]
* WorldsStrongestMan: And that's ''before'' the Forbidden Fruit comes into the equation.
* ZenSurvivor: He's the only two character that can be considered wise in the show and became that way through countless years of suffering.

The deceased wife of Rosyuo, who originally granted the Golden Fruit to him. Rosyuo is desperately trying to resurrect her.
----
* HumanAliens: She's the queen of an alien species but looks rather human.
* PosthumousCharacter: She's dead but is a major part of Rosyuo's character arc.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Has red eyes that signifies her status as her cycle's Women of the Beginning.

* AffablyEvil: Compared to the rest of the minor Overlords.
* AvengingTheVillain: States part of the reason he wants to see Kouta dead is [[spoiler:to avenge Demushu.]]
* BreathWeapon: He has fire breath, to be exact.
* CombatPragmatist: He set up a trap to lure Kouta into ahead of time.
* CoolSword He can even deflect lasers with it, Jedi style.
* FeatheredFiend: He is based on a phoenix.
* TheHandler: [[spoiler:Micchy]] notes that he's this to him. [[spoiler:Which is why he gets killed.]]
* HumanShield: Inves Shield. Zangetsu Shin uses him as this in [[spoiler:#33 to escape Gaim's finisher, resulting in the Overlord's death.]]
* MeaningfulName: His name translates to [[TheFourGods Suzaku]].
* MonsterOfTheWeek: Justified for three reasons. First, he's a minion of Redyue. Second, [[spoiler:Kouta's Kiwami Arms make him as powerful as an Overlord.]] Third, [[spoiler:Micchy wanted him to die because he was his handler.]]
* TrueCompanions: A rather twisted version of the trope, and not just because he's a villain. He wants to [[spoiler:avenge Demushu]] by killing Kouta and states that the death of a human is nothing compared to the death of an Inves, though the real cake comes in #40 where, [[spoiler:in the dreamworld that Redyue makes, he and a Seiryu Inves hold off Zack and Minato so that Kouta can run off and rendezvous with Redyue and Shinmugurun, explicitly telling Kouta that his fellows await]].

* TheDragon: Seems to be Rosyuo's sworn sword but he's been put on loan to Redyue.
* MonsterOfTheWeek: For #34-35.
* SinisterScimitar: A big boned-themed one.
* UndyingLoyalty: He will follow the orders of the one declared his master, even if they're suicidal.

* {{Jerkass}}: What little characterization he gets is that of an over-confident jerk.
