----
* FragileSpeedster: As an acrobat he's quite nimble and agile, though not especially strong.
* KidAppealCharacter: He's the source of most of the comic relief in the series.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Daigorō loves anpan[[note]]a type of bread filled with red bean paste[[/note]], to the extent that decades later, in ''Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger'', he is shown operating an anpan stand. And it's named [[PunnyName DenziPAN!]]
[[/folder]]

* DistressedDude: Twice in the series.
* GeniusBruiser: He's TheBigGuy while at the same time being a scientist and inventor.
* TheSmartGuy: Him being a scientist means he often acts as the brains of the team.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tatsuya Midorikawa / Denzi Green]]
!!Tatsuya Midorikawa / [[green:Denzi Green]] | [-Actor: Creator/NaoyaUchida-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tatsuya_midorikawa_ep1.jpg]]
A detective and boxing coach recruited to be Denzi Green of the Denzimen.
----
* TheLancer: The "cool guy" of the team, with a more laid back personality to contrast Akagi.
* YouKilledMyFather: Is driven to join the Denziman after his father is killed in a Vader Clan attack.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Akira Momoi / Denzi Pink]]
!!Akira Momoi / [[pink:Denzi Pink]] | Actress: Akira Koizumi
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/akira_momoi_ep1.jpg]]
A tennis player and swimming coach recruited to be Denzi Pink of the Denziman.
----
* TenMinuteRetirement: At the end of the first episode she leaves to pursue her tennis career, though she rejoins the following episode after realizing saving lives is more important.
* TheHeart: The moral center of the team.
* MasterOfDisguise: As expected of a Sentai Pink. While previous heroines could disguise themselves conventionally by carefully changing their look Akira could change under a second by jumping tossing off her previous outfit (she wears a black bodysuit underneath for modesty) and having a whole new look by the time she hits the ground. It's suggested she simply stores a bunch of spare outfits in her Denzi Ring along with her Denzi suit and puts them on through the same process they use to henshin. Akira was the first to make this an outright superpower as she not only changed her look but gained the skills of the outfit as well as any weaponry it would naturally have (becoming a cowgirl gives her a real working gun and lassoing skills for example), and at one point even seems to somehow be in 3 places with 3 disguises at once (and then emerges from a 4th spot)
* OneBookAuthor: Akira Koizumi's only acting role.
* ProudBeauty: Downplayed because Akira is quite humble about her appearance around her friends, but she's also confident enough to use herself as bait whenever pretty girls are being targeted and she frequently is smirking at of the villains making fools of themselves around her or commenting on what a "perfect specimen" she is.
* RefusalOfTheCall: Leaves being a Denziman in favor of pursuing a career in tennis in the first episode. Of course, it [[TenMinuteRetirement doesn't stick]].
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She is the only female Denziman.
[[/folder]]
!Allies
[[folder:Denzi Dog IC]]
!!Denzi Dog IC | [-Voice Actress: Hisako Kyōda-]
[[quoteright:960:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/denzi_dog_ic.png]]
A robotic dog from Planet Denzi, sent to Earth to protect Denzi Land and it's technology from the Vader Clan.
----
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:He turns himself into a circuit in [=DaiDenzin=] in order to help the Denzimen destroy Banriki Mons.]]
* RobotBuddy: He may be looking like a real life dog, but he's actually a robot.
* TeamPet: As he's a dog, he fills this role.
[[/folder]]
!Vader Clan
[[folder:General Tropes]]
A clan of invaders from the Vader dimension.
----
* AlienInvaders: The very instance of this trope in Sentai[[note]]Both the [[Series/HimitsuSentaiGoranger Black Cross Fuhrer]] and [[Series/JAKQDengekitai Shine]] were aliens, but the factions they ran were Earth-based as opposed to coming from space.[[/note]], though technically they're ''interdimensional'' invaders as opposed to extraterrestrial ones.
* EnemyCivilWar: Banriki instigates one in episode 48 when he moves to overthrow Queen Hedrian and rallies several of the {{Mooks}} to his side.
* LikableVillain: The Vader Clan are undoubtedly evil, but they're pretty likeable villains all around for their [[LargeHam larger-than-life personalities]] and how well they get along with each other.
* MeaningfulName: While their name may bring to mind [[Franchise/StarWars a certain Sith Lord]], it actually comes from in'''vader''', which is fitting given their modus operandi.
* StandardEvilOrganizationSquad: The Vader Clan's upper brass, consisting of Queen Hedrian and her top subordinates.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Queen Hedrian]]
!!Queen Hedrian | [-Actress: Creator/MachikoSoga-]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/queen_hedrian_full_profil_2.jpg]]
The ruler of the Vader Clan.
----
* AffablyEvil: She's a cruel EvilOverlord for sure, but she also treats her subordinates well and is a chummy person to be around in general.
* AlasPoorVillain: Non-lethal variant. [[spoiler:She survives the end of the series, but has to watch all of her subordinates get killed. Even if she is the BigBad, it's hard not to want to hug her.]]
* AMotherToHerMen: Cares deeply for her subordinates, and in turn they all care and greatly respect her.
* BenevolentBoss: Quite a few {{Evil Overlord}}s in Sentai could learn a thing or two about leadership from Queen Hedrian. She treats her subordinates well, shows concern for their wellbeing and refrains from being a BadBoss to them.
* BigBad: The ruler of the Vader Clan, the one responsible for the destruction of planet Denzi in the past and the one leading the Vader Clan's invasion of Earth in the present.
* BreakoutVillain: She's almost as popular as the Denziman themselves, to the point where she went on to appear in the [[Series/TaiyouSentaiSunVulcan succeeding series]].
* DimensionLord: Ruler of the Vader Dimension her Clan hails from, and she's looking to add ours to her domain.
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler:By the end she's rooting for the Denziman to defeat Banriki, unable to stand his rule any longer, and helps them defeat Banriki Monster by giving them information on its weak point.]]
* EvilOverlord: The undisputed ruler of a band of invaders who invade and corrupt planets.
* {{Expy}}: Design wise, her appearance was modeled after the Marvel character ComicBook/{{Hela}}.
* FairestOfThemAll: The first we see of her is her having Mirror assume her mirror form so she can stare into it and ask this question.
* KarmaHoudini: She isn't defeated by the heroes at the end of the series and is instead left at large after escaping. [[spoiler: [[Series/TaiyouSentaiSunVulcan The next series]], [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty however]]...]]
* LargeHam: As with most characters played by Machiko Soga, Hedrian is very hammy and expressive.
* Really700YearsOld: Episode 40 marks her 7600 birthday.
* TheUnfought: Our heroes never get a proper confrontation with her and when she's confronted by them at the end of the series, as [[spoiler:she opts to exit the scene rather than fight them in a final showdown.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:General Hedrer]]
!!General Hedrer | [-Actor: Shinji Tōdō-]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/denzihedrer.png]]
The field commander of the Vader Clan.
----
* TheDragon: Hedrian's second-in-command and standard YesMan field commander. He is also one of her most loyal servants and has a mutual respect for his leader. [[spoiler:He technically becomes this to Banriki when the latter takes over, but he wastes no time in taking himself out so he doesn't have to give his new hated boss much of anything.]]
* LastVillainStand: [[spoiler:Once Banriki takes over, Hedrer opts to fight the Denziman one last time in order to deny Banriki the glory of defeating them.]]
* UndyingLoyalty: Fiercely loyal to Hedrian to no end. When Banriki takes over, Hedrer is not happy at all that his old boss got deposed and even [[spoiler:tries to fight the Denziman in a glory-or-death mission to deny Banriki the satisfaction of destroying them and free himself of having to serve Banriki.]]
* VillainousVirtues: He's respectful, polite and loyal to Hedrian thanks to her kindness to her troops and absolutely loathes Banriki both before and after he [[spoiler:took over, after getting fed up with his new leader fairly quickly he decided to deny him any victory by having a last honorable duel with the Denziman, ending with him being remembered as a worthy noble foe by his enemies.]]
* WorthyOpponent: [[spoiler:After defeating him, the Denziman all acknowledge him as a worthy foe.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mirror and Keller]]
!!Mirror and Keller | [-Actor: Rie Yoshikawa (Mirror), Chiaki Kojo (Keller)-]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/keller_and_mirror_full_profil.jpg]]
A pair of female spies who serve Queen Hedrian.
----
* FakeDefector: [[spoiler:Mirror pretends to side with Banriki in order to get close to him and discover Banriki Monster's secret.]]
* TakingTheBullet: [[spoiler:Keller dies shielding Queen Hedrian from an attack from Banriki.]]
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Mirror has the ability to transform into a mirror or into a crystal ball. Keller can transform into a shield, although her shield form doesn't seem to make her any more durable.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Demon King Banriki]]
!!Demon King Banriki | [-Actor: Kin Oomae-]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/demon_king_banriki.jpg]]
A musclebound space warrior known as the "messenger from Hell" who sides with the Vader Clan to get a chance at fighting the Denzimen.
----
* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: No one in the Vader Clan likes him at all, not even Hedrian; when he takes over no one on his team besides his monsters show any sliver of loyalty and continuously gravitate towards the deposed Hedrian [[spoiler:with most dying either to protect their queen or just to deny Banriki anything close to a victory.]]
* TheAlcoholic: Spends most of his time drinking.
* BaldOfEvil: There's not a hair on his head.
* TheBrute: For the most part he's just a particularly strong fighter, and doesn't have much of a skill-set outside of that.
* TheCaligula: [[spoiler:His brief tenure as the Vader Clan's head shows what happens when you give TheBrute control. He spends most of his time sitting around and drinking, and his "plans" are little more than sending {{Mooks}} out on random, uncoordinated attacks. Everyone that didn't immediately hate him the second he took over got fed up quickly with him and gravitated back to Hedrian, even if she never took back her position.]]
* TheDreaded: Known as the "bringer of calamity" that destroys everything he encounters, both IC and Hedrian are shown to be wary of him.
* EatsBabies: He tries to eat a Vader Monster egg in his first episode, but Queen Hedrian stops him.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He treats his Banriki Mons with respect.
* HateSink: Banriki is a rude and obnoxious brute who spends most of his time lazing around and demeaning others, standing out as a particularly reviling character in contrast to a cast of relatively {{Likable Villain}}s.
* InformedAttribute: In his introduction he's characterized by IC as a super-strong BloodKnight who lives for the thrill of fighting. After his first appearance, he spends most of his time lazing around the Vader Castle making snarky remarks. His eventual coup against Hedrian is thwarted rather quickly and he's easily defeated offscreen. [[spoiler:And when he does seize control of Vader Clan through his backup plan in Banriki Monster, he does nothing other than drink all day and leaves most of the work up to it. Once Banriki Monster is destroyed, he's easily taken out right after.]]
* TheJuggernaut: He was all but unstoppable in his first appearance, delivering crushing defeats to all the Denziman individually. Even as a group and using the most powerful attacks in their arsenal all they managed to do was to fight him at a stalemate upon Bariki decided just to escape after blocking [=DaiDenzin=]'s [=DenziSword=] attack.
* KnightOfCerebus: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. While in his first appearance, he is indeed a very powerful threat, after that he becomes a lazy drunk, not doing anything except make fun of the rest of Vader Clan. He does take over at the end of the series, but its his personal monster that's doing all the work, and once its destroyed, Banriki himself is eliminated not long after.
* TheGadfly: After his failure to defeat the Denziman, Banriki did nothing but sat on his ass, eating, drinking, laughing at the failures of the Vader Clan and generally doing whatever the hell he wanted.
* SixthRangerTraitor: Joins the Vader Clan two-thirds of the way through, before developing his own ambitions to become ruler in the final few episodes.
* TheStarscream: He hijacked a scheme of the Vader clan, using deadly gas to kill the Denziman and the children they were teaching, by having the monster use "normal" gas on the heroes and the deadly gas on the court in an attempt to take over the castle. [[spoiler:He failed and as punishment he was transformed into a statue and used as a candle holder.]]
* UndignifiedDeath: Banriki's death is rather pathetic, with him being [[spoiler:blinded by Mirror and teleported outside where he flails around aimlessly before being easily killed by the Denzimen with their Denzi Boomerang.]]
* VilerNewVillain: Though the crimes he commits aren't much worse than what Queen Hedrian and her ilk do, Banriki doesn't have any of the qualities that make them likeable and is a horrible boss instead of the benevolent one Hedrian was, instead being a [[HateSink rather loathsome character]] that absolutely everyone else hates and who gives the audience a villain they can unapologetically root against.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Banriki Mons]]
!!Banriki Mons | Voice Actor: Shōzō Iizuka
[[quoteright:308:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/banriki_monster.png]]
A powerful monster hatched from an egg that Banriki snuck in among the Vader Monster eggs as a backup plan. It is by far the most powerful monster in the series and allows Banriki to easily take over the Vader Clan a second time after his previous coup failed.
----
* AttackItsWeakPoint: Its telekinetic abilities make it even more powerful than Banriki himself, but it becomes powerless if its tail is injured.
* TheDragon: Once it's released, it becomes Banriki's main enforcer.
* MindOverMatter: It is able to effortlessly toss around the Denzimen and the Daidenzin with its mind, and even cause irreparable damage to the Daidenzin's systems.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: When it hatches from his egg, it's initially very small, but still manage to wreck havoc around the Vader Clan. Of course it grows very shortly after.
* ShrinkRay: It uses its BreathWeapon to causes a bunch of Dustlers to shrink down to the size of toys, and then Banriki eats them. For unclear reasons it never uses this ability again.
* TrojanHorse: Banriki hides it in an egg that looks like a Vader Monster egg as a backup plan. The Vader Clan eventually hatch it.
[[/folder]]
