->''"It's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle."''

->'''Voiced by:''' Ben Singer

One of the two Co-hosts of ''Death Battle'', Wizard acts like the frontman of the duo. An intelligent, stoic individual, Wiz is usually the one to calculate the strength, speed, and experience of the combatants for the show. That being said, the earlier episodes of Death Battle makes it clear he is just as crazy, or crazier than Boomstick, like having dissected a "voluntary" Goomba, talking about the impracticality of baby launchers in all the wrong ways, and in minor cases, having a couple of pet peeves.\

In the SpinOff series "Death Race", he and Boomstick serve as commentators on the action of the races, leaving the pre-race and post-race announcements to Ringmaster.
----
* AbandonedCatchphrase: During the early days of ''Death Battle'', Wiz often used to say, "That's right, Boomstick!" However, he stopped saying it after "Yoshi VS Riptor", and it wouldn't be until 8 seasons later in "[=SpongeBob=] VS Aquaman" that he would finally say it again.
* AffablyEvil: For all his unethical experimentation, he actually seems like a friendly guy to be around.
* AlternateSelf: This is shown in Miles VS Static where after Boomstick activates one of Wiz's inventions we see an alternate universe version of Wiz who acts like Boomstick but has an Irish accent.
* AmbiguouslyBi:
** Apart from his list of Top 10 Robot Girlfriends, he also is implied by Boomstick to have a crush on [[WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender Prince Zuko]]. The fact that he ends up grieving for Zuko after the prince loses doesn't help.
** Additionally, we learn in Flash vs. Sonic that he's HappilyMarried, but since he doesn't go into depth about it, we don't know the gender of his significant other.
** [[invoked]] This has stopped being ambiguous when [[WordOfGod Genevieve Guimond]][[note]] the writer for Zuko VS Todoroki[[/note]] outright confirms that Wizard is Pansexual.
* ArmsDealer: He creates reality-bending weapons and sells them to black markets all over the world.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: Whenever a combatant has relativistic reaction speeds as confirmed by their evading a laser, Wiz tends to verify that they're not [[EnergyWeapon plasma-based beams]] by whether the material actually ''calls'' them lasers. He does give other reasons (reflection, lack of explosion, etc), but if the source says it's a laser, he'll always wrap up by pointing out that it's called a laser.
* ArtificialLimbs: Confirmed in Fulgore VS Sektor, that arm of his is indeed cybernetic... and prone to glitches... such as "accidentally" punching Boomstick. The preview for Silver Samurai's bio reveals that Boomstick cut it off with a tachyon table saw. He's still peeved at Boomstick, but he likes it.
* AttractiveBentGender: He knows Manga/{{Naruto}}'s Sexy Jutsu, which is enough to give Boomstick a NoseBleed (and nearly a heart attack).
* AxCrazy: Wizard likes to give the impression that he's saner than Boomstick but, there are hints that he's ''far'' crazier and that his StraightMan persona is only skin deep. As well as his BlatantLies about a Goomba volunteering to be dissected, his immediate reaction when Boomstick muses about the usefulness of a [[ItMakesSenseInContext baby-launcher]] is to tell him that the idea is terrible [[CrossesTheLineTwice because it would take nine months to reload]].
* BadassLabcoat: As revealed in the second WebAnimation/DeathBattle Q&A, he has a white mad science one.
* BallsOfSteel: Boomstick tries to replicate [[Franchise/MortalKombat Johnny Cage's]] signature GroinAttack on Wiz, only to hurt his hand and Wiz to state he came prepared after he did it in both [[VideoGame/KillerInstinct Glacius']] preview and Johnny's own.
-->'''Boomstick:''' Ahhh Oh God, what the hell!?\
'''Wiz:''' This isn't my first rodeo.
* BerserkButton:
** Above all, Wiz has a button the size of Mount Everest for wrong applications of science. He is perfectly capable of suspending his disbelief for {{Minovsky Particle}}s and other supernatural things that [[MagicAIsMagicA stay consistent and can be analyzed]], but if you start to weer into NewPowersAsThePlotDemands and GreenRocks, he's going to take umbrage.
*** He clearly isn't fond of those who mistake the term "cold-resistant" as "totally immune to being frozen solid".
---> "If you were wearing a Parka, ''which is cold resistant'', and you were shot by [[spoiler:Samus']] ice beam, '''you would be frozen solid'''."
*** He's getting pretty sick of stupidly named fictional metals that are straight upgrades to titanium. Though after seeing the almost ubiquitous presence of such metals, at the time of "Mega Man VS Astro Boy" he just snarks at how Ceratanium is ''[[SarcasmMode obviously]]'' better than titanium. He's fine with metals that are stronger than titanium if they have some trade-off, like the Star Wars Expanded Universe's 'Mandalorian Iron' which, while tough enough to repel ''lightsabers'', is also a great deal heavier and thus sacrifices maneuverability for durability, and he also doesn't show any obvious disdain for vibranium in ''Batman vs. Black Panther'', presumably because its vibration-absorbent properties serve as a justification beyond "stronger and lighter" (and possibly because it has a limit to [[GoingToGiveItMoreEnergy how much it can take]]).
*** Saying that a character can "see faster" greatly annoys him. Sight is based on light, and light ''always moves at a constant speed''.
*** This is shown again in ''Omni-Man vs. Homelander'' when discussing Viltrumite Smart Atoms being made by their DNA - which he points out that it shouldn't work due to [=DNA=] ''[[Catch22Dilemma being made of atoms]]''. He declares the entire thing even worse hogwash than the usual biofield explanations given for superheroes FlyingBrick powers.
** He apparently gets irritated when people quote notorious lines from the ''Star Wars'' prequel trilogy.
** He also gets annoyed when things cannot be explained at all in even pseudo-scientific manners. For instance, Pinkie Pie's Pinkie Sense is so nonsensical, he simply refuses to believe in it, because of the sole fact that it can't be explained scientifically. Or at all.
*** He was comically driven to borderline lunacy when going over Spongebob Squarepants' godlike feats for this reason, being reduced to ''worshiping the sponge like a god'' by the end of the episode.
** A somewhat more minor one is the HighlyVisibleNinja trope, often questioning it when it applies to one (or both) of an episode's combatants.
* TheBore: His puns and attempted takes on humor don't really work, so it's Boomstick's job to make the jokes in the series.
* CannotTalkToWomen: According to Boomstick, he gets shot down by them easily.
* CantHoldHisLiquor: Apparently, the last time he went to a bar before ''Ultron VS Sigma'', he had enough alcohol to forget the event entirely, and has no memory of his consequent "[[FantasticRacism dumb meatbags]]" attitude. Boomstick states that if they tried holding a drinking game for every time they said "Life Fibers" during ''Shadow VS Ryūko'', he'd definitely die. Also, when his mind is transferred into Boomstick's body during ''Doctor Doom VS Lex Luthor'', his low alcohol tolerance comes with it, and he ends up seeing six of Boomstick in ''his'' body.
* CardCarryingVillain: While he's less evil than most examples (questionable experiments notwithstanding), the Rap Battle still has him proclaim he's "an evil genius and supervillain".
* CharacterCatchphrase:
** "And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a [[TitleDrop Death Battle]]".
** Also: "Alright, the combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all!", later changed to "Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities!" starting in Season 6. The former would only make a return during "Cole [=MacGrath=] vs. Alex Mercer", likely referencing the fact that A: They were using a script they wrote ten years ago (around the time of Season 1), and B: the fact that both combatants' stories have long since ended with no chance of continuation, given how both fighters are dead in their respective series' canons.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In the first two seasons, Wiz's main trait was [[StraightMan him being a foil to Boomstick's wackiness]]. Later seasons put more focus on his MadScientist traits, with his OnlySaneMan shtick being turned into a MaskOfSanity.
* ConvertedFanboy: In "[=SpongeBob=] vs. Aquaman", Wiz was initially dismissive of [=SpongeBob=] as a combatant, displaying a Squidward-esque exasperated pessimism at how much of a loser he supposedly is… until he digs a little deeper into the show's canon and sees [[LethalJokeCharacter just how awesome SpongeBob can really be]], [[spoiler: eventually concluding [[CurbStompBattle/DeathBattle that his opponent didn't stand even a nascent chance against him]] and eventually hailing the little yellow fry cook as "our god."]]
* CouldntFindAPen: He signed the Death Race contract in blood, apparently thinking that's what Boomstick did. Boomstick, however, signed the contract in strawberry jam and is [[EveryoneHasStandards horrified that Wiz used blood instead]].
* CovertPervert: Despite being more professional than Boomstick in the sense that he doesn't make perverted comments to nearly every female combatant, his [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs9gkaLvtiw Top 10 Robotic Girlfriends]] list has him making sexual comments towards several of the entries on his list. Given that this list was made after eight years of working with Boomstick, it's possible that [[ToxicFriendInfluence Boomstick's perversion has rubbed off on him]].
** Additionally, it's implied that he watches body inflation videos in ''Beerus VS Galaxia'' when one such video pops up on the screen behind him, and he desperately uses BlatantLies to hide it from Boomstick.
* CrazyPrepared: He puts on a pair of CoolShades in "Iron Fist VS Po" to prevent himself from being blinded by the Golden Lotus Clap. Before that, he was ready to (temporarily) erase Deadpool after two years of prep time.
* CutLexLuthorACheck: In "Heihachi VS Geese", he claims to receive tons of checks for selling reality-bending weapons to worldwide black markets. Boomstick is skeptical of this, because he's seen Wiz's university student loans, and they're literally a sideways 8 next to a smiling turd emoji.
* {{Cyborg}}: If his picture above doesn't tell you, Wiz confirms that he is indeed a cyborg in his [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SouFOCFUNOA Top 10 Cyborgs]] list. Unfortunately for Wiz, this allows K.I.T.T. to escape death by pulling a GrandTheftMe through uploading himself into Wiz's cybernetically-enhanced brain. Thankfully, it's non-canon to the main series.
* DeadpanSnarker: He'll show his disdain for opponents and their skills with backhanded compliments or outright scorn. As of season 2, he's been showing his snarky side noticeably more often.
* DealWithTheDevil: According to "Chosen Undead vs. Dragonborn", he sold his soul to help pay for his student loans.
* ADegreeInUseless: It's revealed in "Samurai Jack vs. Afro Samurai" that he spent four years working on an English major... only to find out too late that it wouldn't get him anywhere.
* DisappearedDad: According to Mechagodzilla's preview, he has a dead father who he's trying to revive with cyber-necromancy, [[WellDoneSonGuy just so he can earn his father's approval.]] Boomstick would rather Wiz let his father rest in peace.
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: He was significantly less "nerdy" in the first few episodes. After a while, his [[TheSpock superego]] tendencies were played up more, to make the contrast with Boomstick more apparent.
* DracoInLeatherPants: Wiz shows great admiration towards anybody who's a genius, even if they're an EvilGenius or a MadScientist. For example, he sees [[Franchise/LiloAndStitch Dr. Jumba Jookiba]] as completely innocent and sees the United Galactic Federation persecuting him as unjust, despite Jumba being guilty of [[EvilutionaryBiologist illegal experimentation]].[[invoked]]
* DreadfulMusician: According to Boomstick, his singing is borderline lethal. Confirmed in ''Venom VS Crona'', where him strumming an electric guitar plugged into an amp results in a horrible screeching sound.
* EinsteinHair: In an earlier portrait, he had some pretty wild hair. Then again, what else would you expect from a MadScientist?
* EnragedByIdiocy: Boomstick's in general lack of interest in science and general stupidity is one of the most constant sources of anger for Wiz.
* EtTuBrute: His response to Boomstick using a GhostlyWail on him unprovoked.
** And again when Boomstick announces that [[ItMakesSenseInContext as of 2024, he'll be hiring Mickey Mouse to replace Wiz as co-host of Death Battle]].
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** Even ''he's'' disturbed when Boomstick mentions that Joker [[FacialHorror had his face cut off for a laugh]].
** Even ''he'', who dissected a "voluntary" Goomba and opposed Boomstick's baby cannon for practical reasons, considers [[DarkAndTroubledPast Doomsday's early life]] to be not science, but baby-murdering.
** A minor example, but he thinks [[VideoGame/CrashBandicoot Dr. Cortex]] is a poor excuse of a scientist and considers Coco Bandicoot to be his superior.
** He's sympathetically concerned for [[Manga/AkameGaKill Tatsumi]] since he's the LustObject of the AxCrazy {{Sadist}} that is Esdeath. A lot more sympathetic than [[InLoveWithYourCarnage Boomstick]], that's for sure.
** He's enraged by Boomstick wanting to kill every single living cat purely out of paranoia that they're all [[PersonOfMassDestruction Kittens Of Mass Destruction]] like Lord Beerus and hopes he'll calm down before he does anything stupid.
** He ends up fed up with watching how unstable Homelander is and decides he doesn't care what Vought International has on him or Boomstick and quits the preview on The Boys. And during the Seven Battle Royale proper, both him and Boomstick are horrified to find out that the city the Seven and Butcher were fighting in wasn't completely evacuated and would have called the fight off immediately if Black Noir didn't threaten them into letting the fight continue.
** Even he gets horrified and disgusted by the horrid things Dio Brando got up to, particularly making a mother ''eat her own baby'' for kicks.
** He is genuinely ''frustrated'' that Superfriends Aquaman is just as much of a joke as his [[AdaptationalWimp reputation]] claims him to be, showing just where he draws the line at mocking lame contestants as he was ''just'' ridiculing his opponent, [=SpongeBob=], minutes before (until he saw just how much he underestimated him, anyway).
* EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether: Rick's preview ends up revealing that he and Wiz used to both go to MadScientist High where Rick [[TheBully bullied him]].
* EvilSoundsDeep: Though it's less noticeable next to Boomstick's gravelly Southern accent.
* FacePalm: Protip, if you wear glasses and have a cybernetic arm, don't use this trope. Wiz does it in ''Black Widow vs. Widowmaker'' in response to one of Boomstick's puns and breaks his glasses. He's learned his lesson by ''Ghost Rider vs. Lobo'', as he does it in response to Boomstick's one-liner and his hand makes contact away from his glasses this time.
* FailedASpotCheck: He offers Sonic a chili dog from [=DoorDash=] after Sonic's last words in the Death Race, only for Boomstick to inform him that he can't offer chili dogs to a dead hedgehog.
* FightingIrish: Not Wiz himself, but his alternate counterpart, Jizz. He's pretty friendly and non-combative, but he's still a researcher for an internet show about pitting fictional characters into deathmatches. [[WordOfGod According to the writers]], he was supposed to be [[MinnesotaNice Minnesotan]], but Ben Singer couldn't do the accent, so they made him from Ireland instead.
* ForScience: In addition to his more outright MadScientist behavior, he does do a few things with a more thoroughly scientific process. Most notably, he encourages Boomstick to try and teleport using Aquaman's trident in beer (the normal requirement being water) and programs his cybernetic arm to engage firebending only when he performs the requisite martial-arts motions (thus necessitating the proper fluidity required for actual firebending).
* FunnyBruceLeeNoises: He makes these noises when he's practicing firebending.
* GeekPhysiques: He's pretty skinny and, unlike Boomstick, is never seen to eat or mention food. He also replaced one of his arms with a metal prosthetic. Boomstick even asks him whether he's ever gone to the gym at least once. When Boomstick briefly has his mind transferred into Wiz's body, he falls over, unused to walking on ''two'' legs, especially ones as scrawny as Wiz's.
* GeniusSlob: According to Boomstick, he likes frequenting a dollar pizza place at Mad Scientist University.
* GoodWithNumbers: He does the calculations of speed, strength, etc.
* GrandTheftMe: In Death Race Episode 3, he gets hijacked by KITT at the end of the race, so that KITT can cheat death. Ringmaster thinks it creepy, Boomstick... [[UnusuallyUninterestingSight less so]].
* HandicappedBadass: On account of his powerful mechanical arm. Just watch how hard he hits Boomstick with it in ''Mob VS Tatsumaki.''
* HappilyMarried: He mentions that he's married very briefly in ''Flash VS Sonic''. And most likely he's a lot happier with his significant other than Boomstick was with his ex-wives. We get to see a ring on his robot hand in "Shadow vs. Ryūko Matoi", and Boomstick congratulates him.
* HowUnscientific:
** He's dismissive of the idea of Tails flying by spinning his tails around, remarking how the tails would just get tangled up in each other. He cuts himself off with an elongated FlatWhat upon actually seeing it in action.
** He scoffs at the [[ArtisticLicense implausibility]] of Hulk and Doomsday's origin stories, stating that they defy any basic science.
** Pinkie Pie's "Pinkie Sense" drives him up the wall (much like it did Twilight) because it has no rhyme, reason, nor scientific explanation.
** During King Dedede's rundown, Wiz notes that Dedede, a penguin, trained himself to fly in the manner of Kirby, which "has no scientific basis whatsoever and makes absolutely no goddamn sense".
** He rails over Omni-Man's FlyingBrick powers due to Viltrumite Smart Atoms made by their [=DNA=], which he points out shouldn't work due to [=DNA=] ''[[Catch22Dilemma being made of atoms]]'', calling it hogwash even worse than usual "sciency" explanations.
* HumanoidAbomination: Occasionally gives off this vibe.
** In Yoda VS King Mickey, he tricks Boomstick into signing what is heavily implied to be a [[MagicallyBindingContract demonic contract]] and DUMMI's remark all but says that Wiz has done this before.
** In DIO VS Alucard, he outright admits that he has consumed ''millions of souls'' and uses them to regenerate from fatal injuries (or being [[ItMakesSenseInContext transmutated into a can of beer]]) ala ''[[Manga/{{Hellsing}} Alucard]]''.
* InLoveWithYourCarnage: At least if the carnage involves science, as shown by his gushing praise for the killing blow in "Killua vs Misaka", requiring ''Boomstick'' of all people to reel him back.
* InstantSoprano: Happens to him during the Glacius intro video after Boomstick [[GroinAttack hits him in the nuts]].
* InsufferableGenius: He claims to never make mistakes, and is more prone to insulting/prodding at the less intelligent fighters on their dumber moments than his co-host.
* IronicName: What kind of scientist calls himself, of all things, ''Wizard''!? (Besides the venerable [[ScienceShow Mr. Wizard]], that is)
* KickTheDog: Blowing up Boomstick's beer supply to see if he has a TraumaticSuperpowerAwakening. Even if he imagined he was doing Boomstick a favor because of his alcoholism, it was a callous decision and one that justifies Boomstick punching him unconscious and stealing his money.
* LackOfEmpathy:
** Often is incredulous at some fighter's backstory, especially if they do something that avoids gaining power.
** In the ending to "Martian Manhunter vs Silver Surfer", when the Silver Surfer despairs over his victory because he just killed a good man and a fellow hero. It actually ends up affecting Boomstick who begins to question why they're even pitting people (usually heroic ones at that) in fights to the death. Wiz doesn't even remotely care.
* LaserGuidedKarma: This happens to him in "Obi-Wan Kenobi VS Kakashi", in an attempt to awaken something akin to the Mangekyo Sharingan in Boomstick, he stole Boomstick's entire supply of beer and locked it in a room filled with 200 tons of TNT. After the beer was blown up, Boomstick knocked Wiz out and stole some of his money to buy some more beer.
--> '''Boomstick''': ''([[DelayedReaction Laughs]])'' [[DoubleTake Wait, what?]] ''(Wiz pushes the button on a remote detonator, causing a massive explosion offscreen)'' [[BigNo NOOOO!]] {{You monster}}! What have you done!?\
'''Wiz''': ''(takes out a clipboard and pencil)'' Do you feel anything?\
'''Boomstick''': Just thirsty, sober, and punchy.\
'''Wiz''': [[OhCrap Pu-punchy?]] ''(Boomstick decks him, knocking Wiz out, Boomstick then proceeds to grab some money from his pocket)''\
'''Boomstick''': Next round's on Wiz!
* LeanAndMean: He's slim of build and doesn't have much of in the way of scientific ethics.
* LethalChef: Formerly. In "Mega Man Battle Royale", he admits he was a terrible cook before he discovered Blue Apron.
* MadScientist: Albeit more [[TheStoic stoic]] than most. He uses rats for genetic testing, dissected a [[BlatantLies "voluntary"]] Goomba to study its anatomy, and frequently states scientific real-world facts on the combatants' tactics/weapons and how they can effectively kill a person. That said, he insists he's not ''entirely'' mad, as he points out to Boomstick in Shadow's third rundown.
* MadeOfPlasticine: He is surprisingly fragile considering he's a cyborg.
** He was once put in a coma for a ''month'' just because he was shot at by a potato gun (though it should be noted that Boomstick could've managed to make the potato gun quite powerful, making the month somewhat plausible).
** In Lucy's preview, he was knocked unconscious because he tripped after Boomstick had ''tied his shoelaces together''.
* ManOnFire: Wiz ''somehow'' gets set on fire by Boomstick during Omni-Man's analysis in "Omni-Man VS Homelander" when all Boomstick did was push a button that caused confetti to fly out, and released a [[StockScream Wilhelm Scream]] as he ran off.
* MarriedToTheJob: He uses this as a VerbalBackspace after telling Boomstick that he's HappilyMarried.
* MaskOfSanity: Wiz might seem to be the "sane one" between him and Boomstick, but there are strong hints that he's even crazier.
* MeanBoss: He apparently doesn't even pay Jocelyn the Intern for her work and only provides food for her on occasion. He specifically gave her her own show as an alternative compensation. Also, Jocelyn's "office" that he gave her is just a broom closet. Also, look at the way he abuses DUMMI the test robot in ''Beerus vs. Galaxia''.
* MrExposition: He does most of the science stuff.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:After the Mask won his Death Battle against Deadpool, but Wiz and Boomstick end up feeling guilty for throwing Deadpool to the wolves, with Wiz admitting they sacrificed their impartiality over an annoyance.]]
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: During [[ComicBook/{{Venom}} Venom's]] preview, Wiz revealed that he actually made a symbiote to act as his clothing, complete with a weakness to sonic vibrations. Boomstick proceeded to yell at the top of his lungs [[BrainBleach and immediately regretted it.]] This happens again in [[Manga/FairyTail Gray's]] preview, only the roles are reversed with Boomstick being naked and Wiz being horrified in response.
* NotSoAboveItAll: He may seem like the StraightMan at first but, as the series progressed, it became clear that he's just as quirky and crazy as Boomstick.
** In ''Smokey Bear VS [=McGruff=] the Crime Dog'', he ends up in a bear pun contest against Boomstick.
** In ''Aquaman VS Namor'', when he points out that the Trident of Neptune can teleport but requires the user to be in water, Boomstick asks if beer would work. Wiz actually considers that the point might be valid.
** In ''Mechagodzilla VS Dragonzord'', he starts off discussing dragons dramatically, before casting aside the gravitas to describe them as "frickin' awesome".
** Throughout Season 7, both Wiz and Boomstick did a few action hero poses ''each'' during a few intros.
** In ''James Bond VS John Wick'', Wiz can't help but join Boomstick in rattling off puns based on titles of Bond movies.
** In ''Killua vs Misaka'', Wiz gets ''very'' into explaining the power systems of Nen and Espers along with the science behind Misaka's Railgun ability. In the post-analysis, he also gets the rare opening comment on the result as he gushes over the math and science that went into [[spoiler:Misaka's killing blow via Railgun]] with [[InLoveWithYourCarnage almost Boomstick-levels of excitement]], requiring Boomstick to reel him back.
* NotSoStoic: He gets very frustrated when he has to explain to Boomstick who That Man from ''VideoGame/GuiltyGear'' is.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: He stabs Boomstick with one of the tridents in ''Aquaman VS Namor''. Boomstick continues to bring it up against him throughout Season 6 and into Season 7.
-->'''Wiz''' (in ''War Machine VS Genos''): It was one time!
* OnlySaneMan: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] in ''Death Battle'' proper, as he's simply got a [[MadScientist different brand]] of insanity compared to Boomstick. Played straighter in ''Death Race'', where he's a lot less enthusiastic about the blood, oil, and carnage than Boomstick and Ringmaster.
* PetTheDog: In ''Goro vs. Machamp'', he tries to comfort Boomstick about the loss of his wife.
* PlayingWithFire: He can replicate firebending, as Boomstick finds out painfully.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: In Season 1, Wiz is uncharacteristically rude about Michelangelo, describing him as "the retard" of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Granted, Wiz' LackOfEmpathy is a constant feature in most seasons of Death Battle, but he rarely uses such offensive terms for other combatants, regardless of whether or not he likes them.
* PragmaticVillainy: Shoots down Boomstick's idea for a baby launcher because of how impractical such a weapon would be.
* PrecisionFStrike: Whereas Boomstick drops f-bombs with reckless abandon, Wiz presents himself as more refined. When he curses, it's noticeable. He dropped his first f-bomb after 59 episodes when Boomstick quoted [[Film/AttackOfTheClones Anakin Skywalker's infamous "I don't like sand" line.]]
-->"Don't you ''fucking'' dare!"
** It happens again in the preview of The Boys when he outright calls Homelander "fucking crazy".
** Drops yet another one in ''Spongebob VS Aquaman (Super Friends)'' while calculating the yellow sponge's absurd feats, particularly the moment when Spongebob, quite literally, ''unraveled the universe by pulling on a loose piece of thread''.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: In Yoda's preview for Season 8, Wiz tests out Boomstick's supposed ability to redirect insults back at people by calling his friend "a childish leech who uses alcoholism as a crutch to seem interesting." He actually reduces Boomstick to tears for a few seconds... only to learn that he'd fallen for Boomstick's tricks after all.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: [[spoiler:After KITT hijacks his mind after the third Death Race,]] his eyes go red and he starts speaking in [[spoiler:KITT's]] CreepyMonotone. That said, [[NightmareFetishist Boomstick]] finds him less frightening than Ringmaster.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Boomstick's red, being more calm and rational.
** To hammer home the point, he wears blue armor with white trim in the Red vs Blue special episode.
* {{Revenge}}: While discussing Android 18's misnaming, he implies that he once suffered a case of revenge-induced madness.
* RobotDog: The Sol Badguy preview reveals that he has one for a best friend. Or rather, had, since Boomstick shoots it in frustration.
* {{Robosexual}}: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs9gkaLvtiw If him hosting Top 10 Robotic Girlfriends is anything to go by]]. Interestingly, Wiz doesn't mind if these robots are [[WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM cyborg anthropomorphic rabbits]], [[Film/SmartHouse android personifications of a house AI]] or [[VideoGame/MassEffect the android personification of a ship's AI]].
* RonTheDeathEater: Wiz hates anybody who's a complete idiot, no matter how [[IdiotHero heroic]] or [[KindheartedSimpleton well-meaning]] they are. This holds especially true for [[Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles Michelangelo]] and WesternAnimation/{{SpongeBob|SquarePants}}, with him going so far as calling Mikey a [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain retard]].[[invoked]]
* SanitySlippage: Goes through this during [=SpongeBob=]'s analysis in [=S9EP12=]. While Wiz's seen some pretty outlandish and incredible feats before in previous toonforce users like The Mask, he's flabbergasted by the absurdity of what Spongebob's done over the course of his cartoon. By the end of the episode, he declares the sponge "our god" in utter seriousness.
* ScheduleFanatic: In ''Solid Snake vs. Sam Fisher'', Boomstick reveals that Wiz wouldn't let him stop to buy a churro while they were on a trip together because it "wasn't in the schedule".
* TheSmartGuy: He does the math stuff that goes over Boomstick's head.
* TheSoulless: As Skyrim Vs Dark Souls shows, he's [[NoSell completely immune]] to the [[YourSoulIsMine Soul Tear shout]] because according to him, he gave it away as Down Payment for his students loans.
* TheStoic: Normally, he shows far less emotion than Boomstick.
* StraightMan: He gives the impression that he's one [[SubvertedTrope but don't be fooled]]. He's every bit as insane as his buddy. He just hides it a bit better.
** In Wolverine vs Raiden, he tries to crack a joke about brain stems. [[EpicFail It worked just as well as you'd expect]].
--->'''Wiz:''' ...Wolverine's HealingFactor stems from his brain. Huh? Get it? [[DontExplainTheJoke Stem? Like brain stem?]]\
'''Boomstick:''' Wiz, [[StraightManAndWiseGuy I'm the funny one. Just stick to being boring.]]\
'''Wiz:''' ''(disappointed)'' Aww.
* SitcomArchNemesis: While neither host likes having to deal with him, Wiz, in particular, holds a special hatred for ComicBook/{{Deadpool}}, coming up with [[CrazyPrepared ways to deal with him between seasons]] and even smashing a monitor he hijacked with his bare (non-robot!) fist.
-->'''Wiz:''' I swear to god I'll kill him someday...
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: Both him and Boomstick agree that the wingdings are likely some bizarre alien language hiding some sort of secret.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Gogeta vs. Vegito reveals that Wiz's dream is to take over the world. Though, he admits that Boomstick's proposal for what to wish on the Dragon Balls is more intriguing, and decides to put world domination on hold for another day.
* ThatCameOutWrong: In Naruto vs. Ichigo, Wiz attempts to compare Ichigo surviving a powerful attack as taking "54 Little Boys to the face". Boomstick starts bursting out laughing and we're shown the cast of ''Bleach'' staring in disbelief as Wiz tries to VerbalBackspace and clarify he meant the atomic bomb.
* ThinChinOfSin: In contrast to Boomstick's manly square jaw.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: Wiz has this reaction in Macho Man vs. Kool-Aid Man to when Randy and Kool-Aid show up.
* UnusualPetsForUnusualPeople: He keeps a cyborg goose with two heads that fires FrickinLaserBeams from its mouth which he calls Mecha-Goose Howard.
* VillainRespect: He respects Geese Howard's tenacity and business acumen.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Despite however often he and Boomstick fight, insult, or hurt one another, he genuinely considers Boomstick his best friend. So when Boomstick declares that Marshall, the Ringmaster, is his best bud instead, Wiz seems genuinely hurt.
* VocalEvolution: By the third or fourth episode, his voice slowly became lower and more serious/intelligent sounding. [[VocalDissonance It'll still rack your brain that Wiz looks like a mad scientist and sounds like a college student.]]
* WellDoneSonGuy: As revealed in the Mechagodzilla preview of Dragonzord vs. Mechagodzilla, Wiz just wants to hear his father say he's proud of him, even if he has to bring him back to life using cyber-necromancy to do it.
-->'''Boomstick:''' And you guys thought I had father issues.
* WhatDidIDoLastNight: A delayed reaction to this in Ultron vs. Sigma. Boomstick reports that he's a bit of a [[FantasticRacism robot supremacist]] when he's drunk, but Wiz only asks when the last time he went to the bar was, confirming he is unable to remember it.
-->'''Boomstick:''' [[AllAccordingToPlan Mission accomplished!]]
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: His hair is white to match his mad scientist lab coat, and he once killed a Goomba so he could study its anatomy.

->'''Voiced by:''' Chad James

The other Co-host of ''Death Battle'', Boomstick is the wisecracker of the duo. A trigger-happy alcoholic, Boomstick tends to focus on his forte for the show, which is the weapons, armor, and other useful equipment of the combatants. That being said, Boomstick is far smarter than he seems, being knowledgeable on dinosaurs, making a surprisingly profound statement on Superman's disguise efforts, and having a degree in poultry science, among his wealth of knowledge on weaponry.

In the SpinOff series "Death Race", he and Wiz serve as commentators on the action of the races, leaving the pre- and post-race announcements to Ringmaster.

Has a [[SelfDemonstrating/{{Boomstick}} Self-Demonstrating page here]]
----
* AbusiveParents:
** Boomstick mentions that his dad, while he was still around, would spank him on the butt. Boomstick considers it the only gift he ever got from him.
** His relationship with his mother is generally ''[[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas far]]'' [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas more positive]], but occasionally it's shown Boomstick's childhood went to some really ''weird'' places.
--->'''Boomstick''': When I was a kid Mama Boomstick trained me and some friends to eat sixty hot dogs in ten minutes! ''[[NoodleIncident I was the only one who survived...]]''
* AccidentalMurder: Boomstick ends up doing this in "Blake VS Mikasa" to a clone of Wiz using Fire and Ice Dust, he's more annoyed that it was accidental than horrified.
* {{Acrofatic}}: Apparently, he's better at running than Mob, despite being fatter than him and having a shotgun for a leg. Of course, he can't do ballet with it.
* AffablyEvil: Like Wiz, he's fairly unscrupulous, but he's also pretty friendly and endearing in his {{Cloudcuckoolander}} mannerisms.
* AfraidOfNeedles: In ''Venom VS Crona'', he states that he has this phobia, stemming from all the times Wiz has stuck needles in him. [[TooDumbToLive He still lets Wiz stick one in him in Crona's preview, however]].
* AgonyOfTheFeet: This is inflicted on Boomstick in Aquaman VS Namor courtesy of Wiz with the Trident of Poseidon in response to Boomstick's quoting of [[Franchise/DCComics Bane]].
-->'''Boomstick:''' ''(talking behind a can of beer)'' You think the point is your ally, you merely adopted the point, I was born in it, molded by it. ''(gets stabbed in the foot by Wiz)''\
'''Wiz''': How about that point?\
'''Boomstick:''' ''(DelayedReaction, then ScreamsLikeALittleGirl)''
** This ends up being turned into a BrickJoke in season 6 as Boomstick threatens Wiz not to stab him again in Ganondorf VS Dracula and finally paying Wiz back for it at the end of Might Guy's preview by breaking his leg.
* TheAlcoholic:
** It apparently led to his divorce...
--->'''Boomstick''': (''when discussing Link's Hookshot'') Man, that really would've helped to get that last beer all those times... probably still be married.\
'''Wiz''': Doubt it.
*** This gets followed up in Screwattack's top 10 futuristic weapons where Boomstick says he actually used the [[VideoGame/HalfLife Gravity Gun]] to get beers from the couch.
** In Batman vs. Spider-Man:
--->'''Boomstick''': (''when discussing Batman's UtilityBelt'') That belt has pretty much ''everything'', grappling hook, explosives, beer... maybe not that last one, but mine would.
** In He-Man vs. Lion-O:
--->'''Boomstick''': (''when discussing the Sword of Omens' TractorBeam'') ...Which is perfect for when you're on the couch! Swooooorrrd of Omeeeeens, give me snacks beyond snacks...and a beer!
** In Iron Man VS Lex Luthor:
--->'''Boomstick''': (''upon learning that Tony's greatest nemesis has been his struggle with alcoholism; cracks open a cold one)'' Did you say something?
** In the preview from Spider-Man 2099:
--->'''Boomstick''': I'm not dependent on booze! Booze is dependent on ''me''!
*** The same preview reveals that he owns ''3% of the entire world's whiskey supply''.
** In Aquaman VS Namor:
--->'''Boomstick:''' I get super evil and grumpy when I haven't had a beer in at least 24 hours.\
'''Wiz:''' 24?\
'''Boomstick:''' Uh... 12... 6... 2... Screw you.
** It might just be to appease the advertisement, but in the ''Leonardo VS Jason Lee Scott'', Boomstick outright says that Miller Lite is his favorite beer and is excited to see them sponsor them.
** Apparently, even when Wiz upgraded Boomstick's miniature refrigerator to have near-infinite capacity in Steven Universe's preview, [[BeyondTheImpossible he still managed to drink it all offscreen]].
** Boomstick is such an alcoholic that even his [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Stand,]] 99 Bottles, which looks like a floating human-sized can of beer with Boomstick's hat and mustache, has beer as a power. 99 Bottles is able to [[{{Transmutation}} turn anything Boomstick wants into a can of beer]], which Boomstick pulls on Wiz in both ''DIO VS Alucard'' and the preview for Superfriends Aquaman. Keep in mind that a [[FightingSpirit Stand]] is the physical embodiment of one's soul, and are dependent on the user's personality and ideals for how they look and what powers they have. ''Boomstick's very soul manifests as a can of beer complete with the ability to make more beer.''
** Boomstick claims in "Frieza vs Megatron" that he was born with a blood alcohol level of 0.8.
** In "Galactus VS Unicron", Boomstick's love of beer is so great that he sees other people as giant cans of beer.
--->'''DUMMI:''' What are you staring at?\
'''Boomstick:''' What matters most to me in the world. Awesome.
* AllMenArePerverts: If there's an attractive female on the show, you can bet your money he'll make a perverted comment at her expense. [[note]]So far, this counts all females in the show, except for his ex-wife, "tween pop star" Rebecca Black, Princesses Zelda and Peach, Toph Beifong, Yang Xiao Long (he spent his time gushing over her weapons instead), and Rainbow Dash (a [[InsistentTerminology horse]]).[[/note]]
** He [[EveryoneHasStandards draws the line at making a density or hardening innuendo about Toph]] (referring to her ability to change the density of earth) when Wizard reminds him she's twelve (although Boomstick seems slightly disappointed in his resignation when told such, it might just be at the missed opportunity). Taokaka is also spared Boomstick's perverted comments, even though her age is unconfirmed, many Blazblue characters call her a 'kitten' and so probably is also not an adult. This might be the reason why, despite her clearly developed body, seventeen-year-old Yang is spared as well, unlike the constant, albeit misleading, innuendo Tifa is given throughout her own rundown.
* AlternateSelf: This is shown in Miles VS Static where after Boomstick activates one of Wiz's inventions we see an alternate universe version of Boomstick who acts like Wiz but talks in a British accent and talks even more [[SesquipedalianLoquaciousness complexly]] than Wiz does.
* AmazonChaser: Spends a good deal of Yang's analysis admiring her Ember Celica, and when [[spoiler:Tifa]] loses, he laments how he lost another potential wife. He also calls [[LadyOfWar Erza]] "damn near perfect" and decides that [[AdventurerArchaeologist Lara Croft]] will be his next ex-wife.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: ''Possibly.'' It's implied that his father may have been a zombie, although it's never stated whether this was his biological father or one of his many step-fathers. Even if the former is true, what it makes him is unknown. [[spoiler:With ''WebAnimation/RedVsBlue'' hinting that he is the son of Sarge, this claim is still up in the air.]] Additionally, he can do a Ghostly Wail just like Danny Phantom, despite not being either a ghost or a halfa (so far as we know). Not helping matters is how, apparently, his uncle is [[EldritchAbomination Yog-Sothoth]] [[Franchise/CthulhuMythos itself]].
* ArchEnemy: Pop-stars in general. He hates them even more than his "bloodsucking ex-wife". Considering how much he hates her, that's saying a ''lot''.
* ArtificialLimbs: He has some kind of robotic left leg, according to the gag reels, it houses explosives. As of Screwattack's Top 10 Boomstick's list--which Boomstick hosted--it turns out that it is the Super Shotgun from ''VideoGame/DoomII''. Blake's preview for ''Blake Vs. Mikasa'' reveals that he himself was the one who cut his leg off.
* AscendToAHigherPlaneOfExistence: He does this after drinking beer laced with cosmic kinetic energy, running to Jupiter and back. Too bad for Wiz he doesn't gain any cosmic knowledge in the process.
* AudienceSurrogate: An oddly specific example regarding the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse. When a character's portrayal in the MCU has significant differences from their primary Marvel canon portrayal, such as [[Recap/DeathBattleS05E14UltronVsSigma Ultron's creation]] or [[Recap/DeathBattleS05E16ThanosVsDarkseid Thanos' Infinity Stones]], Boomstick is the one who usually brings up the movies -- the medium that most casual viewers are like to be familiar with -- before Wiz elaborates on the original comics' version.
* AwesomeYetImpractical: He patented the baby cannon. He thinks it's awesome and so does Wiz. There's just the problem of ''reloading''.
* BerserkButton:
** Wiz making puns, as Boomstick thinks Wiz is stealing his thing.
** No matter how much he berates his ex-wife, do ''not'' directly insult her in Boomstick's presence. [[NWordPrivileges You're not allowed to make those jokes]] because ''you'' don't pay alimony.
* BigNo: After [[spoiler:Charizard]] goes down. He also yells one after [[spoiler:Darth Vader]] loses.
* BondOneLiner: Usually says one after they explain why the winner of a Death Battle won.
-->'''Batman vs Spiderman''': [[spoiler:And all the Waynes' money and the Commissioner's men, couldn't put Batman together again]].
** Uniquely enough he makes two at the start and end of ''All Might VS Might Guy's'' post-fight analysis
--->'''Boomstick:''' [[spoiler:Looks like All Might might not be Alright]].
--->'''Boomstick:''' [[spoiler:It was a mighty tough battle for all, but All Might wasn't a match for one powerful Guy]].
* BoyfriendBlockingDad: In Tatsumaki's preview, he says he has to go home to shoot the guy bringing his daughter home from a date. When Wiz questions what he'll do if the guy is on time, Boomstick replies that he's still shooting the guy on principle.
* BlackSpeech: Boomstick reveals that he can speak in a frequency incomprehensible to mortal ears thanks to his Uncle [[Franchise/CthulhuMythos Yog Sothoth]] teaching him.
* BlindedByTheLight: Boomstick accidentally does this to himself with the Golden Lotus Clap in ''Iron Fist VS Po'', then complains about the instruction not warning him about that beforehand.
* BloodKnight: Nothing pleases him more than gratuitous murder and violence.
--> "That seemed a bit overkill... ''I liked it."''
* BluntMetaphorsTrauma: When Wiz brings up a metaphorical description of Mewberty, from Star Butterfly's own experience of it, all Boomstick learns from it is that eating bacon will give him magical powers.
* BruiserWithASoftCenter: Boomstick surprisingly likes cute things including; kittens, Kirby, and tanukis (though NOT Shukaku, that's a given).
* ButtMonkey: He tends to receive more slapstick than Wiz.
* TheCameo: Although his role as host of DBX has been ceded to Ringmaster, he does cameo in the opening of ''Batman vs. Iron Man'' when the new announcer is hosting the auction of [[ParentalAbandonment a parent]].
-->'''Ringmaster:''' Put your hand down, we know you don't have any money.
* CameraObscurer: It turns out Wiz and Boomstick were never on camera until ''Mario VS Sonic'' because Boomstick left the lens cap on.
* CarpetOfVirility: As we can see when he tears his shirt off, Boomstick is quite hairy. [[FanDisservice Wiz certainly doesn't find it sexy, though.]]
* CerebusRetcon: In "Goro vs. Machamp," we learn that he was actually heartbroken when his ex-wife left him at the wedding reception for a four-armed man. He bitterly remarks, "I guess my special technique is signing divorce papers..."
* CharacterCatchphrase: Several.
** [[LargeHam "IT'S TIME FOR A]] [[TitleDrop DEATH BATTLE!"]]
** "Gimmmegimmegimme!"
** "But, plot twist!"
** "That's [insert-large-number-of] zeroes, bitches!"
** In "Scrooge [=McDuck=] vs. Shovel Knight", after seeing the latter's Shovel Blade, mentioned having one paired with a Rake Blade he had that [[AbandonedCatchPhrase he stopped using]] due to everyone that heard it getting confused and offended; "Prepare to get raked!" Zero points for guessing why.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In "Peach vs. Zelda", he appears to be something of a chauvinist, saying that Princess Peach spends her spare time "making cake in the kitchen [[StayInTheKitchen like any good woman should]]." Later episodes have Boomstick being more of a feminist, if still a pervert.
* ChargedAttack: In "Deku Vs Asta" he somehow has access to Fa Jin, or at least a Quirk similar to it in function which he demonstrates on Wiz.
* ChivalrousPervert: Genuinely respects women, whilst still being obsessively lecherous.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: He's prone to going on tangents during the post-battle analysis and thought a baby launcher would be a good invention.
* ClusterFBomb: His reaction to [[spoiler:Gaara's defeat at Toph's hands]] is a lot more profane than usual.
* ConvertedFanboy: The first three times that ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' was represented on the show, Boomstick shows a notable disdain for it, due to him [[TestosteronePoisoning finding it unmanly]]. However, by the time of "Bill Cipher vs. Discord", he's since [[TestosteroneBrigade come around to it]] due to watching it [[GoodParents with his daughter]].[[invoked]]
* CoolBike: He once owned a motorcycle, and tried to set it on fire like Ghost Rider's Hell Cycle. When Wiz expresses surprise that he owned a bike, Boomstick makes it clear that [[DidntThinkThisThrough the bike didn't survive that experiment]].
* CoolUncle: If the preview for the Scarlet Witch is true, then his uncle is somehow ''Yog-Sothoth''!
* CrocodileTears: He sheds these in Yoda's preview to guilt-trip Wiz for insulting him.
* CutenessProximity: He coos at the kittens, the tanuki, and the Waddle Dees.
* DeadpanSnarker: He usually saves the "deadpan" for whoever lost the battle. Otherwise, he tends to be more over-the-top than Wiz.
* DealWithTheDevil: He makes a couple of comments that suggest he did this in the past. He wonders what kind of deal [[Recap/DeathBattleS04E01LaraCroftVsNathanDrake Nathan]] made with Satan to survive such big falls, adding that he knows that kind of thing comes with a terrible price, "Believe me." And when they talk about how [[Recap/DeathBattleS06E07WeissSchneeVsMitsuruKirijo Mitsuru's]] grandfather about how he experimented with Shadows (which Boomstick describes as basically demons), citing it as a bad idea since summoning demons is always a bad idea. "Trust me. It never works out. And when it does, it doesn't."
* DeathByIrony: Not Boomstick himself, but his Grandpappy Boomstick. Apparently a deranged chicken hunter, he eventually got killed by chickens. Boomstick ritualistically slaughters chickens to commemorate him.
* DeepSouth: His accent and love of guns are the most noticeable of such traits. Chad (Boomstick's voice actor) outright classifies Boomstick as a redneck.
* ADegreeInUseless: Suprisingly averted. Unlike Wiz, Boomstick was careful enough to get a degree that he could actually benefit from in his Poultry Science degree, in contrast to Wiz picking an English Major which is impractical for a MadScientist like him.
* DemotedToExtra: Not in the main series obviously, but Death Battle X was originally ''his'' show, where he had two characters fight with no research involved and did all the introductions himself. Now the show is run by Ringmaster, and Boomstick only appears now and then as a co-host, with Ringmaster constantly trying to hog the spotlight.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: A case of this in the Batmobile Death Race where he obtained a bunch of cars with civilians as obstacles [[TemptingFate thinking the Batmen wouldn't blow them up]]. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] when he believed that the Batmen's ThouShaltNotKill policies would prevent them from doing so.[[note]]The Burton-Mobile dispatching the Bat-Pod prior would fall under ''Death Battle''[='=]s usual "no restraints about killing your opponent" clause, but ''Death Race'' operates on ''DBX''[='=]s "no rules, no research, only bloodshed" terms; Boomstick had clearly assumed the former[[/note]].
* DisappearedDad: Implied to be one to Evil Craig. It's also implied that he's the victim of one: [[spoiler:[[WebAnimation/RedVsBlue Sarge]].]]
-->'''Boomstick:''' [[ShotgunsAreJustBetter Hey, nice shotgun!]] I like the cut of your jib!\
'''Sarge:''' Hehehe. Well, whaddaya know? Someone who has an eye for the finer things in life!\
'''Boomstick:''' Hoho, you better believe it!\
'''Sarge:''' Y'know, you remind me of someone. Almost like the son that I… never wanted…\
'''Boomstick:''' Well, that's funny. I was about to say you're like the Pappy I never had. When I was a kid, he ran out on us to join the Army and never came back.\
'''Sarge:''' [[OhCrap Huh.]] Well… how about that? Time to move along, I guess. Nothing to see here. [[NotSoInnocentWhistle Do-do-do Do-di-do Do-do.]]\
''[Sarge backs away slowly. Everyone looks at Boomstick.]''\
'''Boomstick:''' [[ComicallyMissingThePoint What a nice guy.]]
** Boomstick receives a letter from his father in TheStinger of Hulk VS Broly. From what DUMMI says of him, Boomstick's father is a "strange green man in a zoot suit", implying it's ComicBook/TheMask.
** Boomstick is working with Marshall (Ringmaster) to track his father down by the start of Season 8.
** Episode 150 seems to finally confirm who Boomstick's dad is. [[spoiler:And it IS Sarge!]]
* DitzyGenius: See HiddenDepths and DumbassHasAPoint below, Boomstick is actually more clever than he sounds at times, and can keep up with Wiz.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: According to Scooby-Doo vs Courage the Cowardly Dog, he can't stand La Croix, even threatening to have his dog destroy the Sun if Wiz replaces the beer in the fridge with it [[NoodleIncident again]].
* DrunkDriver: According to Wiz, he once drove a dune buggy drunk. It ended up in a lake. He appears to have learned his lesson, though, as he would later speak disdainfully of drunk drivers.
* DrunkenMaster: He apparently is gifted at Drunken Boxing, and he can do it when ''actually drunk'', as DUMMI finds out.
* DumbassHasAPoint: Occasionally says something insightful and intelligent in the middle of his ramblings.
** This is highlighted to a point in ''Yoshi VS Riptor'', where he goes into great detail about Riptor being a velociraptor.
* {{Eagleland}}: Type 2. Loud, boisterous, idiotic (most of the time), and a lover of guns and beer. Ironically, these traits (along with a love of auto-homicide) have given Boomstick a warrant on his head in all 50 states.
* EccentricMillionaire: He claims that if he ever got rich, he would blow all his money on Bigfoot traps.
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas:
** During Gaara's analysis, when talking about how the love of Gaara's mother made him stronger, Boomstick admits he misses his own mother, and defends her and [[LethalChef her cooking]] when Wiz makes a snide comment about the latter. And in ''Zuko vs. Todoroki'', he says that he wishes Todoroki could inspire his own father to be a better person, but not his mother, "she's already perfect."
** He also thinks fondly of his grandmother, as shown from the live pre-show for Yang vs Tifa.
** During Jon Talbain's analysis, Boomstick's response to Jedah sending an assassin to kill Jon's mother is "Dick Move! Moms are off-limits!"
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** Boomstick may be a raging alcoholic, but he draws the line at driving under the influence, though it's implied that he has indulged in DUI in the past.
** He's definitely perverted but gives credit to female combatants when they prove themselves to be capable in a fight and chastises his otherwise-beloved grandfather for thinking that women can't be ass-kickers. He also berates [[VideoGame/MegaManClassic Roll]] for "[[StayInTheKitchen sending feminism back to the '60s]]".
** For a guy with such a clear love of violence he sounds quite somber when talking about the destruction of the nuclear bombs and the beginning of the nuclear age in ''Godzilla VS Gamera''.
** In "Dr. Doom vs. Darth Vader", he is infuriated that Dr. Doom awarded himself a doctorate after taking over Latveria, claiming it an insult to everyone who actually had to work for one. Later, in "Dr. Fate vs. Dr. Strange", he's equally leery about Fate's title, until Wiz assures him that yes, he actually ''did'' earn a legitimate doctorate.
** He actually has no problem when he finds out [[Manga/ElfenLied Lucy]] murdered a bunch of kids because [[KidsAreCruel they murdered her adorable puppy and forced her to watch]].
*** In that same episode, he appears to have an issue with dog harming in general, an opinion that was emphasized in "Scooby-Doo VS Courage the Cowardly Dog", where he was not only admittedly relieved that neither of the two died, but was completely and utterly ''disgusted'' at [[BadPeopleAbuseAnimals Eustace Bagg's]] treatment of Courage, to the point where [[spoiler: he was overjoyed that the old man was the episode's only casualty.]]
** In "Black Widow VS Widowmaker", he's clearly disturbed by Wiz's description of when Black Widow went through a painful surgical procedure, fully conscious and without anesthetic, and had to will herself not to move at all the whole time for her own sake.
** He signed the Death Race contract in strawberry jam and is horrified that Wiz used blood instead. Also, he laughs when Mario flips Captain Falcon off after the captain saves his life from a [[SpikeBallsOfDoom spiked pinball]], but still calls it a callous decision.
** In ''Zuko VS Shoto Todoroki'', he is disgusted by Endeavour's choice to arrange a "Quirk marriage" for the express purpose of having a YinYangBomb of a child, calling it "Gross, feel like I need a shower."
** For all his love of death and murder, Boomstick is outraged in the preview of ''The Seven VS The Boys'' when Homelander and Queen Maeve callously leave an airliner full of people to die.
** He's outright concerned that Venom's rundown might need bits blurred out upon learning about the Klyntar's disturbing backstory.
** He's shocked to hear about that one time Lex Luthor cured his sister Lena of her terminal illness, [[KinslayingIsASpecialKindOfEvil only to then re-inject her with the same illness seconds later]], [[KickTheDog just to prove he could]].
** He calls Reverse-Flash a monster after hearing about the various horrendous things he's done. In particular, what he did to the woman he had a crush on.
** He's horrified by how horrible Dio Brando is, particularly him feeding a child to its own mother and [[KickTheDog burning his brother's dog alive.]]
---> '''Boomstick''': We've met a lot of real pieces of shit on this show, Wiz, but I'm starting to think Dio takes the cake.
** He seems rather disgusted by mythological Zeus' [[BedTrick habit of disguising himself as the husbands of mortals so he can sleep around with them.]]
** He also draws the line at domestic abuse, as he calls Hank Pym infamously slapping his wife Janet Van Dyne "a real low-life move".
** As much as a [[HeroesLoveDogs dog lover as Boomstick is]], even he can't bring himself to like [[TheScrappy Scrappy-Doo]], even hissing like a cat when he's brought up.
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: He takes a less positive view of Sailor Galaxia's DeathEqualsRedemption moment from Sailor Moon. As far as he's concerned, she was "literally killed by kindness." Wiz, [[LackOfEmpathy of all people]], tells him to appreciate the nuance.
** He's also disgusted that Danny Rand ultimately refused to kill Harold Meachum, the man who killed his father. After all, if Boomstick ever found the chickens that killed his grandfather, ''he'd'' finish the job.
* EvilUncle: According to "Scarlet Witch Vs. Zatanna", he has an uncle named [[Franchise/CthulhuMythos Yog Sothoth]] who would regularly kill people and sow chaos. Boomstick talks about him like he would about sweet summer memories.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Apparently, he wants to eat a Pokémon.
-->'''Boomstick''': What?! They look delicious!
* FanDisservice: Wiz has seen him without his pants, twice, and he nearly vomits when Boomstick whips off his shirt in "Gray VS Esdeath".
* {{Fartillery}}: He created a small handheld device called the Windbreaker which basically produces the effects of a weaponized fart, and casually tests it on Wiz. Boomstick can also kill Wiz (or at least, one of his numerous clones) by farting hard enough.
* FatBastard: He's a lot more heavyset than Wiz and equally prone to immoral decisions, such as testing explosive weaponry on the Death Battle interns.
* FatIdiot: He has his stupid moments.
* FatSlob: "Batgirl Vs. Spider-Gwen" reveals that his clothes are all coated in beer stains. He claims it's a fashion trend, "like all those girls that just cut a bunch of holes in their jeans and ruin 'em".
* FightingSpirit: As revealed in ''DIO VS Alucard'', Boomstick in fact has a [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure Stand]] of his own, dubbed 99 Bottles. It looks like a giant floating can of beer with Boomstick's hat and mustache, and can turn anything Boomstick wants into a can of beer for him to drink.
* {{Fingore}}: He attempts to rip off his middle finger and throw it at Wiz only to dislocate it, and even make it spin too in Carnage's preview, sets fire to his own finger in the post-fight analysis of Venom VS Crona, and Wiz draws blood from his finger in Yoda VS King Mickey to get him to sign a creepy contract in blood.
* ForcedTransformation: His [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure Stand]], 99 Bottles, can temporarily turn people into giant cans of beer. Seemingly no harm happens to the victim if the beer can is opened and drunk from. Then again, so far he's only used it on Wiz, who turns himself back via his [[Manga/{{Hellsing}} Alucard]]-esque soul-based immortality, so it's pretty justifiable to assume that he can kill people this way.
* FreakyIsCool: Not Boomstick himself, but his ex-wife has this opinion of [[MultiArmedAndDangerous four-armed men]] since she left him for one at the wedding reception. Boomstick says, "How am I supposed to compete with that?! He's got two more hands than me!"
* GenerationXerox: His GunNut, MeanBoss, DitzyGenius, {{Cloudcuckoolander}}, LargeHam, DeepSouth, BloodKnight, BondOneLiner, KickTheDog, and HotBlooded characteristics may come from his implied father, [[spoiler:Sarge of ''Red vs. Blue'', or at least, that version of him]].
* GirlOnGirlIsHot: He certainly has no objections to [[spoiler:how Rogue ended the fight between her and Wonder Woman]].
* AGodAmI: In ''Hercule Satan VS Dan Hibiki''.
-->'''Boomstick''': Hey, if I could lie that well, I'd make everybody think I'm king of the world too, or even... God. Muhahahaha!
** In ''Flash VS Sonic'' he has a more literal case of this after he drinks beer laced with cosmic kinetic energy, running to Jupiter and back and declaring himself a "speed god".
* GreenEyedMonster: Towards DUMMI, when he thinks Wiz is trying to replace him with the robot. He seems pretty eager to blow him up after the post-fight analysis.
* GunNut: To a surprising degree, even with his {{Eagleland}} status. He'll enjoy guns that can [[TalkingWeapon trash talk]] for him, Prioritizes AbnormalAmmo to normal ammo, and if it causes more destruction, fun for him. Some of his favorites are [[VideoGame/Borderlands2 Shotgun 1340]], [[VideoGame/{{Bulletstorm}} The Boneduster Shotgun]], [[Franchise/RatchetAndClank The R.Y.N.O (namely the Mark 5 variant)]], and the [[VideoGame/RedFaction Nano Rifle]]. His usual contribution to the analysis of any fighter from a setting with firearms is to observe the firearms involved and provide their statistics.
* HalfHumanHybrid: The Ivy VS Orchid video has him imply that his father was a zombie pirate. Then Screwattack's Top 10 Boomsticks list--which Boomstick hosted--reveals that Boomstick had 13 stepfathers by the age of 4. The zombie pirate in question could've been one of his many stepfathers. Scarlet Witch's preview doesn't help clear things up when he reveals that he has an EldritchAbomination for an uncle.
* HandicappedBadass: He has one leg, but he's an eager martial artist and BloodKnight. He's also better at running than [[SquishyWizard Mob]], according to Boomstick himself. That said, he can't do ballet with a shotgun leg. And he's so used to having one leg, that when he ends up having his mind switched with Wiz', he falls over, not used to walking on two legs. Wiz's scrawniness doesn't help.
* HangoverSensitivity: Is implied to be nursing a hangover during ''Ultron VS Sigma'', given his reaction to [[HellIsThatNoise Dr. Wily's flying pod]].
* HeelRealization: At the start of the results segment for "Martian Manhunter VS Silver Surfer" he begins questioning why he and Wiz are pitting characters such as J'onn and Norrin against each other in fights to the death.
* HeroesLoveDogs: He's not really a hero, but he has a pet dog named Jack Spaniels that he's shown to love. Boomstick even develops a dislike for Carnage when he found out he tortured and killed a dog, and cheers Lucy on for killing several kids when he learns that they beat her puppy to death in front of her [[spoiler:and approves of her apparent hatred of dog killers after she defeated Carnage.]] He also cheers for Jonathan Joestar beating up Dio after Dio murdered his dog, calling Dio a "creepy dog murderer". And makes his opinion of [[EvilOldFolks Eustace Bagge]] pretty damn clear in "Scooby-Doo VS Courage The Cowardly Dog" [[spoiler:and has no problems with him being offed instead of either dog.]]
* HeroicBSOD: Has one when he briefly thinks [[spoiler: The Kool-Aid Man]] of all people is his father.
* HiddenDepths: He's more intelligent than his "redneck" persona would have you assume.
** Wiz comments in the original ''Goku VS Superman'' that Boomstick's remark involving Superman's [[ClarkKenting disguise]] was surprisingly profound. He's also surprised that Boomstick knew so much about dinosaurs when he discussed velociraptors. Most noticeable is him having a massive amount of understanding on weapons, and even Power Armor - to the point of him [[AMechByAnyOtherName stating the difference between Robots and Power Armor]] and having him label [[VideoGame/SuperMarioBros3 the Tanooki Suit]] as "power armor".
** He has a doctorate in poultry science as shown in the Darth Vader VS Doctor Doom battle, specializing in frying.
** He was also able to say Tchaikovsky's name correctly, a fact that pleasantly surprised Wiz. He's also a fan of the 1812 Overture because it incorporated his favorite musical instrument -- [[NotTheIntendedUse a cannon]].
** Shockingly, during the analysis of the Shredder, he demonstrated that he DID know what a mutagen was and its effects, proudly displaying his knowledge to everyone.
** He displays a considerable knowledge of snakes in ''Thor VS Wonder Woman'', even doing a calculation to measure the strength Thor needed to defeat the Midgard Serpent. He also does some calculations in Batman Beyond vs Spider-Man 2099, to see how impressive it was to survive a blast from a howitzer.
** He displays a surprising knowledge of ecology in ''Samurai Jack VS Afro Samurai'', determining the baseline height of Jack's ability to "jump good" without any assistance from Wiz, by determining that Jack's treeline clearing jump feat likely took place in the African rainforest judging by the baboons in the area, as well as the fact that trees in that rainforest have been known to grow over 100 feet.
** While it's apparently due to seeing enough "cash for gold" advertisements on TV, he is able to accurately determine the monetary value of a solid gold Chain Chomp within seconds of Wiz calculating its total weight, without any assistance whatsoever.
** As shown in episodes like ''Leon Kennedy VS Frank West'', ''Roshi VS Jiraiya'', and ''Carnage VS Lucy'', if firearms come up in the analysis, expect Boomstick to go into great detail about their stats.
** In ''Ganondorf VS Dracula'', he counts "six" on one hand by putting his thumb and pinky together and raising the other three fingers. This is actually correct in American Sign Language, implying that he has at least some knowledge of it.
** Despite his AllMenArePerverts tendencies, he states in Batgirl's preview that it's unfair for her to be defined by her relation to Batman and Robin, hinting at a firm, feminist ideology.
** He understands female puberty far better than Wiz, due to having a daughter.
** In ''Wario VS King Dedede'', Boomstick manages to create a "fart bomb" known as the Windbreaker in Wiz's lab, which, to its credit, does manage to produce a cloud of noxious gas that manages to knock Wiz unconscious, despite looking like a whoopie cushion with a bunch of random electronics haphazardly attached to it.
** Additionally, ''Thor VS Vegeta'' reveals that, ''somehow'', Boomstick is worthy of wielding Mjolnir, with him casually summoning the hammer to his hand at one point.
* HisNameReallyIsBarkeep: The ''Balrog vs. TJ Combo'' episode reveals that Boomstick is not a nickname.
* HotBlooded: In contrast to the strait-laced Wiz, Boomstick's as bombastic as they come.
* HypocriticalHumor: When DUMMI is introduced in ''Beerus vs. Sailor Galaxia'', Boomstick takes offense to someone else tanking Wiz's attack showings. When Wiz hits Boomstick with fire and ice in ''Zuko vs. Shoto Todoroki'', Boomstick takes offense to Wiz not using DUMMI for it.
** In Red Hood's preview, he criticizes Jason Todd for calling himself the Red Hood [[NonIndicativeName when he wears a helmet instead of a hood]]. Wiz points out that Boomstick is named after a stick, not a gun. [[HypocriteHasAPoint Of course, Boomstick then points out that Wiz also has a]] NonIndicativeName because he's a MadScientist, not a wizard.
* ICallHimMisterHappy: Decides to name his penis "Righteous Indignation", after Bucky O' Hare's ship. He then decides to rename it "Gigantic Omegastorm", after Broly's attack (which he initially thinks was called Gigantic Orgasm).
* IHateYouVampireDad: Boomstick was apparently raised by a zombie pirate, though whether he hated him is debatable, he just says this:
-->'''Boomstick''': Zombie pirates don't make good fathers. Believe me, I know.\
'''Wiz:''' [[FlatWhat What.]]
* ImplausibleDeniability: When Wiz asks him whether he's wanted in all 50 American states for car-related murder, he openly says "What? No!" and then hisses "[[IsThisThingStillOn Shut up, Wiz, we're on TV!]]"
* InLoveWithYourCarnage:
** He practically orgasms when he hears that the {{BFG}}-9000 ''isn't'' VideoGame/{{Doom}}guy's most powerful weapon.
** He says "Mmmm...lovely!" after watching [[Franchise/TombRaider Lara Croft]] stabbing a man's skull with her climbing axe.
** There's also the fact that witnessing [[Manga/AkameGaKill Esdeath]]'s sadism did nothing to discourage his crush on her; in fact, it only ''encouraged'' it.
* InelegantBlubbering: You wouldn't think he'd do this, but he did when he mentions the death of Optimus Prime in ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie'', followed by going to hug his truck. And again when Optimus kills himself after winning the Death Race. This happens a third time at the start of the results for ''Tanjiro vs. Jonathan Joestar'', not that anyone can blame him.
* InsistentTerminology: He has "experience lines", not wrinkles, and he's not aging, he's "leveling up in life!"
* KamehameHadoken: Shown to be a significant fan of both TropeNamers, calling out the "Hadoken!" in time with Ryu (and encouraging the viewer to do the same) when the move is mentioned in ''Ryu vs. Jin'', and performing a Kamehameha (on Wiz, with the help of a shaken beer) in ''Roshi vs. Jiraiya''.
* KickTheDog: After Wiz drives him insane with [[VideoGame/GuiltyGear That]] [[WhosOnFirst Man]], Boomstick takes it out on Wiz's pet robotic dog. It only happens in the preview. In the actual episode, he looks up That Man on the internet and calms down.
* KindheartedCatLover:
** While the "kindhearted" part is debatable, he absolutely adores kittens.
--->'''Boomstick''': Shut up! Kittens are adorable!
** On the other hand, he owns a "laser-guided kitten cannon" and declared cats inferior to dogs (sans the Tigerzord). And in Beerus' preview, when he reads about the OmnicidalManiac that is Lord Beerus( a CatFolk PhysicalGod), he decides to [[DisproportionateRetribution kill every cat in the world.]] He changes his mind upon hearing that Beerus and his brother Champa are named after alcoholic beverages, though.
* KnowWhenToFoldThem: In the preview for the Black Panther, he gets the idea to invade Wakanda. He wisely changes his mind after being shown a comic panel filled with the bodies of various Skrull warriors who tried to do just that.
* LargeHam: Louder, more passionate, and generally a bigger presence than the more reserved Wiz. Also, just listen to the way he says "GHOOOOSTS!!"
* LastNameBasis: If the manner in which he references his Mama and Grandpappy is to be taken at face value, Boomstick is most likely his maternal family name.
* LaxativePrank: Apparently pulled this on his fourth-grade teacher and gave her the shits. He asks if Ghost Rider's Penance Stare (which forces targets to feel the pain they've intentionally inflicted on innocents) would give his soul the shits for said act.
* LethallyStupid: A very unique case happens in "Blake vs. Mikasa" where while he makes fart sounds for an [[OverlyLongGag overly long time]], a clone of Wiz ends up dying as blood pours out of his hears before collapsing.
* LibationForTheDead: He does this in both of the Captain Marvel fights:
** In the one against Android 18, he cracks open a cold one for Carol's predecessor:
---> '''Boomstick:''' Here's to you, Mar-Vel.
** In the one against Shazam, after he drops a perfectly good beer, [[DidntThinkThisThrough he pours one out for it]].
* LukeYouAreMyFather: He doesn't realize it, [[spoiler: but he may be the abandoned son of [[WebAnimation/RedVsBlue Sarge]]. Suddenly a lot of his behavior makes sense.]] Although, whether or not this [[spoiler:applies specifically to that version of Boomstick, or if it's even canon at all, is yet to be confirmed]].
* MadeOfIron: Boomstick shrugs off things that really should be deadly for a human redneck. He's been turned into gold coins, been frozen solid, been firebent onto, and drunk the contents of 'a bunch of glowsticks', just to name a few - that said, there are limits to what he can take (like getting an AnvilOnHead), which is where [[WeHaveReserves DUMMI]] (usually) comes in.
* MeanBoss: He also doesn't pay Jocelyn the Intern anything for her work, wasting the money on beer and shotgun shells.
* MommasBoy: In contrast to his deadbeat birth father and (many) stepfathers, whenever Mamma Boomstick comes up, Boomstick only has good things to say about her, even her awful cooking. He fondly remembers her teaching him martial arts, too.
* MultipleChoicePast: Exactly who his father is, and whether he was {{abusive|parents}} or just [[DisappearedDad absentee]], changes depending on what's funniest.
* MundaneUtility: Often makes a comment about how a fighter's equipment can be used to be lazy. Highlights include using the [[WesternAnimation/ThunderCats Sword of Omen's]] TractorBeam to summon snacks or ComicBook/{{Aquaman}}'s trident to go to Disney World.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone:
** PlayedForLaughs in the preview for Venom. He immediately regrets [[MakesSenseInContext shredding Wiz's clothes by yelling loudly]]. Mostly because he [[BrainBleach can't unsee]] [[NakedPeopleAreFunny Naked Wiz]].
--->'''Boomstick:''' [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone OH MY GOD WHY DID I DO THAT?]] I CAN NEVER UNSEE! [[ScreamingAtSquick AUUGH!]] [[BrainBleach WHERE'S THE BLEACH?! I NEED IT FOR MY EYES!]]
** He gives two in "Captain Marvel vs. Shazam"; first when he drops a perfectly good beer after making a crack about 'controlling gravity' like Marvel, and shortly afterwards after he [[LibationForTheDead pours one out]] [[DidntThinkThisThrough to said beer]].
** In ''Deadpool vs. the Mask'', he's the one who cuts Wiz off in the middle of the post-fight analysis to [[spoiler: point out that despite their usual impartial position in deciding the victor, they sent Wade to be killed by pitting him against an opponent they ''already knew'' outclassed him in every way.]]
** PlayedForLaughs in ''Blake vs. Mikasa'', where he's horrified to find that he's accidentally killed Wiz with two ice and fire Dust crystals, [[MoralMyopia because if he kills Wiz, he wants it to be deliberate]]. Luckily, he's only killed one of his friend's clones.
** ''Martian Manhunter vs. Silver Surfer'' had the two contestants [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall questioning why they even had to fight one another]], leaving Boomstick briefly horrified by the very concept of the show.
* NakedFirstImpression: He apparently forgot his pants when he and Wiz were first acquainted.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: In Gray's preview Boomstick assumes that his ice powers come from [[ItMakesSenseInContext stripping]] so he decides to take off his pants, much to Wiz's horror and disgust.
* NoMoreForMe: When WebAnimation/NomadOfNowhere brings a can of beer to life in "Thanos VS Darkseid", he decides he's drunk too much.
* NWordPrivileges: Thinks his missing leg gives him license to make jokes about disabled people and on a similar note only he can make insulting jokes to his ex-wife because he pays her alimony.
* ObliviouslyEvil: A variant. Some episodes have implied that Boomstick's callousness toward death and such stems from a lack of awareness to dwell on it, and if it's particularly egregious or shoved in his face, he'll feel bad. This is best seen during ''Silver Surfer vs. Martian Manhunter'', where he becomes horrified at his life's work after the two lament their need to fight, while Wiz blows right past it.
* ObsessedWithFood: Implied, besides his [[TheAlcoholic love for booze,]] Boomstick mentions food a lot like how he's [[NoodleIncident still mad at Wiz about not letting him get a churro.]]
* OneNoteCook: Before he discovered Blue Apron, he couldn't cook anything besides roast chicken.
* OutOfCharacterMoment:
** Realizes that he does one in He-Man VS Lion-O:
---> "Aww, we missed the cute kitty stage! (''{{Beat}}'') SHUT UP, kittens are adorable!"
** In Yang VS Tifa, not once does he make a perverted comment on either character. Wiz clearly expects him to but he was actually talking about something else. [[note]]Then he makes a quick comment about Tifa's breasts at the end of her section. [[/note]]
** In Zoro VS Erza, he never makes any real perverted comments towards [[MsFanservice Erza]] and instead calls her "damn near perfect", with only a quip about how the Seduction Armor would be useful by making it hard for a man to fight "[[RagingStiffie with an erection]]".
* PermaStubble: Despite having a moustache, Boomstick's chin hair never grows into a beard.
* PersonaNonGrata: According to Death Race 3, he's wanted in all 50 states of America because of his murderous actions with cars and people. He'd rather Wiz not discuss it on TV, though.
* PetTheDog: Considering how usually [[NoSympathy callous]] he and Wiz are when talking about anything tragic that happens to their opponents, when Wiz casually mentions [[spoiler: [[PlayerPunch Aerith's death]]]], Boomstick [[SincerityMode politely]] tells him not to bring it up while shedding a tear.
* PoliticallyCorrectVillain: He respects women greatly (despite perving on them) and doesn't seem to mind bisexual people, judging by his comments that [[Manga/OnePiece Portgas D. Ace]] would "make some lucky lass or lad very happy" if not for the fact that he died, and he doesn't mock Wiz for having an implied crush on Prince Zuko.
* PopCulturalOsmosisFailure: In Death Race 4, Wiz asks Boomstick if he watches a lot of movies for thinking that [[Franchise/BackToTheFuture the DeLorean]] spontaneously combusted at the starting line as oppose to time traveling. Ironic, since Booster Gold and Homelander's preview implied he watched ''Film/BackToTheFuturePartII''.
* PsychopathicManchild: Apart from being violent towards Wiz and at times murderous towards the interns, Boomstick is prone to singing the theme tunes of kid's TV shows, has an imaginary friend called Al Gundy, and is late introducing Leonardo in his Death Battle, because he's finishing a bowl of breakfast cereal. It's possible that Boomstick's like this because he was emotionally stunted when his father walked out on him as a boy, as "Hulk vs. Broly" implies. Wiz flat-out calls him a "childish leech" in Yoda's preview.
* PungeonMaster: Spouts off at least one pun in every episode with the Toph vs Gaara match going to town, usually at the very end. [[EveryoneHasStandards Doesn't mean he'll like what he says though.]]
* RagingStiffie: Apparently, he finds it really hard to fight when suffering from erections, which is the reaction he thinks Erza Scarlet's Seduction Armor is supposed to provoke. In ''Flash vs. Sonic'', we learn that he calls such erections "[=NARB=]s"- "No Apparent Reason Boners."
* ARareSentence: In "Thanos vs. Darkseid", when WebAnimation/NomadOfNowhere drops in and brings a can of beer to life, Boomstick is so weirded out that he tells Wiz that he thinks he's drunk too much.
* RealMenLoveJesus: Or at least, Real Men Don't Blaspheme In Front Of ''Mutant Jesus''(in other words, ComicBook/{{Cable}}).
* RealMenWearPink: According to Yoshi vs. Riptor, he owns a pink car (with flame decals) [[spoiler:which Riptor slams into, wrecking it.]]
-->'''Boomstick''': [[BigNo No]], my car!
** Boomstick also owns a pink machine gun, as shown in ''Genos vs. War Machine.'' Apparently, it used to be white, but he [[RedSockRuinsTheLaundry washed it with his red hat by accident.]]
* RedOniBlueOni: The red to Wizard's blue, being louder and more excitable.
** Like Wiz, he's color-coded with Crimson armor with White Trims in the Red vs Blue Special Episode.
* SadClown: Despite all the mean jokes he makes about his ex-wife, he was genuinely heartbroken when she left him for a four-armed man before they even reached the wedding reception. He's equally upset when Wiz tries to playfully suggest she's a "bottom-feeding scum sucker".
* SelfHarm: Apparently, as he said in Blake's preview he ''cut off his own leg'' in order to get his shotgun leg.
* SerialSpouse: Mama Boomstick had no less than 13 husbands. Boomstick seems to have inherited her tendencies, as he says in ''Shadow vs. Ryūko'' that "all the rings [he's] given out to people always get sent back eventually" and later on in ''Cole [=MacGrath=] vs. Alex Mercer'' he reveals that he has at least 3 ex-wives (and in Alex preview, reveals that he's friends with his third ex's boyfriend) and at the end of [[Manga/JujutsuKaisen Gojo's]] preview when speaking of [[Manga/ChainsawMan Makima]] ends up admitting that he's lost count of how many exes he has.
* ShellShockedVeteran: Boomstick mentioned that when he was young, Mama Boomstick trained him and his friends to eat 60 hotdogs in 10 minutes. It's implied that it haunts him to be the only one who survived.
* ShipperOnDeck:
** Unlike his co-host, he doesn't buy that Felicia and Jon Talbain are JustFriends.
** He heavily ships Madara with Hashirama.
** He heavily ships Raven with Beast Boy and outright calls it a ship Creator/DCComics is "too cowardly to commit to".
* SleevesAreForWimps: His checkerboard trucker jacket has the sleeves torn off to display his thick, hairy, tattooed arms. The same goes for his alternate self Broomstick's lab coat.
* SophisticatedAsHell: He alternates between profanity-laden sarcasm and surprisingly profound remarks, such as stating that Batgirl's "individuality and identity shouldn't be anchored to the [[NeverASelfMadeWoman patriarchal idea that women are publicly defined by the men in their life]]."
* SouthernFriedGenius: Who would believe this shotgun-totting, swearing redneck actually has a college degree in poultry science?
* SpotlightStealingSquad: When he returns to DBX in Season Six, he proceeds to effectively hijack the show from Ringmaster, which really pisses him off. Turns out he's been doing it since they were in college.
* StoutStrength: Refer to the above FatBastard and below.
* SummonToHand: He tries doing this with a beer can, the way King Mickey summons his Keyblade, and initially appears to succeed, only to find out that DUMMI just fired it out of his exhaust port.
** Later on during ''Thor VS Vegeta'', as he learns Jarnbjorn doesn't have any OnlyTheChosenMayWield enchantments like Mjolnir does, he's rather disappointed... As he casually summons Mjolnir to his hand, revealing he's surprisingly worthy of wielding the almighty hammer.
* SuperStrength: If he isn't just bragging as always, Boomstick seems to be stronger than your average denizen of the DeepSouth.
-->'''Boomstick:''' ''(on Lion-O's Claw Shield)'' ...with which, in his first outing, he effortlessly punched down a tree. Hey, that's just like how I catch squirrels for supper!
* SuperToughness: Despite all the slapstick humor he has been subjected to, he has never once been shown bleeding heavily since in Leonardo VS Jason he was stabbed offscreen by [[MakesSenseInContext one of his knives]] and Venom VS Crona shows him bleeding from the ears after being subjected to [[MakeMeWannaShout Scream Resonance]] by Wiz.
* TemptingFate: In a hilarious meta example, in "Jean Grey vs. Raven", Boomstick notes that Jean has died 15 times and suggests that she's due to die again in 2024. [[spoiler:Turns out, [[ComicBook/HellfireGala the week before]], she died a 16th time.]]
* ThrowTheDogABone: Whenever Boomstick obviously favors one character over their opponent, that character would always end up losing. He was understandably enthusiastic when [[spoiler:Guts vs Nightmare]] finally had one of his favorite characters win, with him talking over Wiz during the post-match analysis so he could gush some more about the winner. [[spoiler: [[YankTheDogsChain Several seasons later]], Guts' return to the show to fight Dimitri would not end nearly as well for him, and Boomstick is devastated.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Squirrels. According to the 2014 SDC Death Battle panel, his favorite breakfast food is "Nana's Southern Fried Squirrel." He also mentions that Lion-O punching down trees is like "How I catch squirrels for supper!" In Thanos VS Darkseid He reveals that his mother's ghost pepper pie can have its taste weakened by using squirrel paste and Mega Man Battle Royale shows him eating a burger with a squirrel's tail sticking out.
** On a lesser note is chicken, Boomstick has mentioned enjoying chicken from time to time, it's implied that Boomstick got a degree in Poultry Science for the purpose of preparing chicken, and even admitted during a sponsor ad for Blue Apron that before trying it out, the only meals he could make was roast chicken and cereal.
* TrainingFromHell: Mama Boomstick apparently put him through this... [[MundaneMadeAwesome for hotdog eating]]. Notably averted for the traditional use, as Boomstick expresses fond memories of combat training with no indication of this trope.
* {{Understatement}}: His only response to [[spoiler:Shao Khan [[YourSoulIsMine absorbing M. Bison's soul]]]] is "That can't be good".
* UnusualPetsForUnusualPeople: He keeps a snapping turtle called Mr. Snappy, who he has set on Wiz at one point, and has tried genetically altering him to give him fire breath, and strapping a bazooka to his back.
* VocalEvolution: By the third or fourth episode, his voice started getting louder and took on a more pronounced Southern accent.
* VomitIndiscretionShot: He tries drinking Venom to empower himself before Wiz can tell him it's meant to be injected, leading to him vomiting onto DUMMI and the floor. Some of it's still clinging to his mustache afterward.
* TheWatson: He tends to be the one to ask the questions about Wizard's scientific facts so that they can be more easily explained to the audience. According to many 'Behind The Scenes' videos, Boomstick tries to contradict Wiz's research and claims with questions normal people would ask about the combatants.
* WeightWoe: He seems a little hurt when Wiz says never to underestimate fat opponents in ''Wario vs. King Dedede''.
* WhatDoesThisButtonDo: When Wiz brings out a "Multiverse Manipulator" in ''Miles Morales vs. Static'', Boomstick doesn't even let him finish a sentence before Boomstick yells "''BUTTON!''" and presses it.
* WhatKindOfLamePowerIsHeartAnyway: Boomstick shows incredible disdain for characters who rely on ThePowerOfFriendship, most likely seeing that kind of thing is way too SickeninglySweet for such a guy like him. He prefers characters who are TheSocialDarwinist like [[Manga/AkameGaKill Esdeath]].
* WhosOnFirst: While going over [[VideoGame/GuiltyGear Sol Badguy]], Wiz brings up [[BigBad That Man]]. HilarityEnsues when Boomstick asks which one.
* WhatTheHellHero: When DUMMI lists off some of the creatures that comprises of Stitch, Wiz makes a joke saying that the "Bottom-feeding Scum Sucker" sounds like Boomstick's ex-wife. Despite all the hateful commentary about his ex-wife, he's genuinely hurt that Wiz called her that and walks off for a few minutes.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: He has a fear of [[MonsterClown clowns]], judging by his commentary on "Joker vs. Sweet Tooth". And when Wiz says "clown" when discussing Venom, Boomstick cancels the preview to go and remove that image from his mind with booze.
* WorthIt: Boomstick certainly considers finally seeing who would win between Gogeta and Vegito worth spending a wish on the Dragon Balls, and Wiz ends up agreeing with him.
* WrongGenreSavvy: ''Death Battle'' removes a combatant's restraints that might make them hold back, but otherwise leaves their personality intact; ''DBX'', meanwhile, is openly advertised by Ringmaster as "no rules, no research, only bloodshed". When four [[Franchise/{{Batman}} Batmen]] are involved in the first episode of ''Death Race'' and Boomstick is put in charge of obstacle acquisition, he gathers a bunch of Gothamites for a traffic jam under the assumption that the former holds true here as well, only to find out that the latter is more accurate when [[spoiler:each of the three surviving racers at that point]] fires a missile into the crowd.
* YourApprovalFillsMeWithShame: Boomstick's approval of Wiz watching body inflation videos for [[BlatantLies "research"]].

->'''Voiced by:''' Billy Burson III

The host for ''DBX'' starting with Season 4 and ''Death Race''.
----
* AscendedExtra:
** In addition to announcing the exhibition, ''Batman vs. Iron Man'' has him hosting an auction. The fight starts because he puts up a parent as the latest item.
** He makes a brief appearance in "Yoda VS King Mickey" of Death Battle proper, where Boomstick reveals that they're working together to tracking down Boomstick's father.
** He also fulfills the role of announcer for the fight "Heihachi Mishima VS Geese Howard"
** He finally makes an appearance in Death Battle proper in "Macho Man VS Kool-Aid Man", assisting Wiz and Boomstick directly.
* BloodKnight: Like Boomstick, his main appeal for being involved in Death Battle is the fighting. Unlike, Boomstick, however, his standards have no limits, to the point that he tosses research and rules to the wayside in favor of pure, biased carnage.
* BullyingADragon: [[SarcasmMode Really, Ringmaster?]] You thought that [[TooDumbToLive you could refuse to uphold your end of your contract]] with Cell of all people? [[PersonOfMassDestruction An android capable of effortlessly glassing the entire planet]]. Just be lucky that the only thing that was destroyed was your dignity via the Kermit costume and voice.
* TheCameo: Similar to Boomstick cameoing in ''Batman VS Iron Man'', Ringmaster makes a minor cameo in ''Deadpool VS Mask'' where he is on the side of a bus prior to the fight starting.
* CharacterCatchphrase: Like Boomstick, Ringmaster usually offers the lead-in to every fight scene itself the same way, though he does have a few custom ones.
-->"So, without further ado, let the exhibition... ''BEGIIIN!''"
* CoolShades: He's always seen wearing shades not dissimilar from Kamina's.
* CouchGag: Catches his microphone in a different way for the opening of each Death Race, in contrast to his consistent claims in DBX.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Despite callously condemning Ron and Harry to a violent death by race, he considers KITT hijacking Wiz's body to be horrific...certainly more so than Boomstick considers it.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: Introduces himself not as ''the'' ringmaster, but as "Ringmaster". Boomstick reveals in ''Yoda vs. Mickey'' that his real name is Marshall.
* EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether: ''Yoda VS King Mickey'' reveals that he and Boomstick were college roommates.
* ExpressiveMask: Since his eyes aren't visible, his shades bend to express emotions.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Ringmaster's ItsAllAboutMe attitude has driven him to be this, having his desire to hog the spotlight drive away everyone else.
* GodzillaThreshold: By "Sailor Mercury vs. Billy Cranston", Ringmaster is so desperate to have a co-host, having driven off Wiz, Boomstick and DUMMI, he calls in probably the one person with an even worse ego than Ringmaster has: [[spoiler: [[Anime/DragonBallZ Perfect Cell]].]]
* HammyHerald: Without any proper analysis to go through, it's Ringmaster's job to introduce the characters for ''DBX'' and ''Death Race'', for the sake of viewers who [[JustHereForGodzilla might only be watching for one or the other]].
* HiddenDepths: As revealed in "Harley Quinn VS Jinx", he is a ''huge'' fan of ''VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends'' and will glady talk about it in detail. He also used to play it with Boomstick in college.
* ILied: He forces Harry Potter and Ron Weasley to compete in a Death Race with the promise that if they win, they'll get to be reunited with their parents again... he adds under his breath that Harry doesn't ''have'' any parents. [[SubvertedTrope Then again]], Harry ''does'' get to see his parents again by the end of the race... because he dies at the flaming breath of Thomas the Tank Engine.
* IncomingHam: "I am Ringmaster, your announcer, your host extraordinaire for this extravaganza!"
* ItsAllAboutMe: As his flashy style of dress suggests, he has a bit of an ego. Notably, he constantly gets annoyed whenever Boomstick treads on his spotlight, even going so far as to attack him at one point.
-->'''Boomstick:''' [[CharacterCatchphrase It's time for a DEATH BATTLE]] [[SubvertedCatchPhrase EXHIBITION]]!\
'''Ringmaster:''' Boomstick, that's ''my line!''
** It gets even worse when Wiz takes over as he can't stand being one-upped by someone smarter than him and smashes him with a bat in retaliation.
* {{Jerkass}}: Wiz and Boomstick may be morally corrupt, but [[EvenEvilHasStandards they have boundaries]] that they won't dare cross, because they understand it'd be going too far. Ringmaster, on the other hand, has no such boundaries, and doesn't care whether or not a contestant suffers horribly or ends up being emotionally broken, only caring about there being bloodshed and a defined winner. He's especially prone to [[KickTheDog Kicking the Dog]] every chance he gets.
* KaleidoscopeHair: Ringmaster's pompadour changes color depending on the episode. It's been pink for many of the episodes but will change depending on a character theming, as he changed it to blue for Metal Sonic vs. Mega Man and black for Venom vs. Spawn. Season 5 (Or Season 2 of the Reboot with him as the host) shows him consistently with a black suit and dark grey hair, as shown in the picture above, but changes hair and outfit color depending on the racers (or whatever he just wanted to wear, as shown in Episode 2 with his pink outfit, which is also the same as in his first-ever appearance) in the Spin-Off Death Race.
* LackOfEmpathy: Shockingly, in ''Death Race: Optimus Prime Vs. Thomas The Tank Engine'', he appears to be even less empathetic than ''Wiz and Boomstick themselves.'' Whereas they are shocked by Harry and Ron's fiery death, and solemn and (in Boomstick's case) [[ManlyTears tearful]] after Optimus kills himself, he focuses instead on the fact that Optimus won the race, [[PyrrhicVictory regardless of the personal cost to Optimus.]]
* LargeHamAnnouncer: He really seems to enjoy his job and brings a lot of theatrics.
-->''"And let me welcome you to''...''' ''THE E''[[XMakesAnythingCool X]]''HIBITIOOOOON!'''"''
* LaughingMad: After taking absinthe, and telling the policemen who want to arrest him, "[[WesternAnimation/TheTick YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE, JUST TRY IT, COPPERS!!!]]"
* LimitedWardrobe: While he does have more suits than his pink one, he's an example of the having-multiples-of-the-same-outfit sub-trope as he was seen ordering a hundred pink suits in a Honey ad that plays before a few episodes.
* PsychopathicManchild: Judging by the way that he cheerfully imitates the Scout Trooper's Speeder Bike and then insists [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial "I'm not normally this weird, I-I swear."]], it's safe to say he qualifies as this. As for the "Psychopathic" part, he's forcing people like Ron and Harry into death races.
* SeriousBusiness: According to him, pizza delivery is "one of the holiest endeavors ever conceived by mankind".
* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: The dodgy Cockney accent he puts on at the start of Arthur Weasley's Ford Anglia comes across as this.
* WouldHurtAChild: He takes 12-year old Harry Potter and Ron Weasley captive in Arthur Weasley's Ford Anglia and forces them to compete in exchange for letting them reunite with their parents afterwards...and he mockingly notes under his breath that [[MyParentsAreDead Harry doesn't have any parents]]. And he doesn't feel any remorse after they're the first casualties of the Death Race.

->'''Voiced by:''' Lisa Foiles

Originally a poorly paid intern and the person responsible for doing most of the more obscure information on combatants, Jocelyn was given her own show by the two hosts of ''Death Battle'' as an alternative to actually paying her. Her show, ''The Desk of Death Battle'', focuses on facts that have been discovered, but don't contribute in any way to the combatants' strengths and weaknesses in the main show, but are surprising or interesting or, more often than not, just plain weird enough to be an episode's topic.
----
* AscendedExtra: Jocelyn was a minor Website/ScrewAttack personality. Now she's a host of her own show. And after a long absence, she gets an animated appearance in DBX as Ringmaster's co-host. She also makes her first appearance in Death Battle proper in Macho Man vs. Kool-Aid Man, being the only member of the group still at the lab.
* AuthorAvatar: She appears in some episodes as a red-haired [[Manga/LuckyStar Konata Izumi]] with glasses. She finally revealed a real life look in the video "The Death of Archie Sonic", and properly has an animated appearance in DBX Season 6, specifically Goomba Vs Koopa II.
* BrickJoke: In "Is Knuckles a God?!", she claims she could do an entire ''video'' on the whole Ken Penders debacle. She does just that in "The Death of Archie Sonic".
%%* TheBusCameBack: After disappearing for years, Jocelyn returns as Ringmaster's new sidekick in the final episode of ''DBX''[='s=] season 6.
* ButtMonkey: Comes with interning under Wiz and Boomstick. It even happens off-camera. In the past, she got blown up for trying to steal Stuttering Craig's hat. In the preview for episode 100, Wiz and Boomstick get into an argument over leaving the lens on the camera for 99 episodes, but can both agree on one solution: blame her.
* DemonicPossession: Ends up becoming a host for the Phoenix Force in "Phoenix Vs Raven" after Boomstick mentions its preference of redheaded women (like Jocelyn) as hosts.
* DeusExMachina: Discussed in the "Cancer Killed Captain America's Shield??" episode. Cap's shield was destroyed, only to be put back together by a villain named Klaw.
* HeartbreakAndIceCream: She said she once gorged on comfort food after one of her boyfriends left her.
* HypercompetentSidekick: She's the one who actually does the research.
* IdiotBall: Discussed in the episode "Boba Fett is an IDIOT!!" when she explains the many times Fett fell into the Sarlacc. In her words: "See, being clever doesn't disqualify you from being an idiot. It's possible to be both."
* TheIntern: She's introduced as an intern for Wiz and Boomstick, and a rather underpaid one, at that.
* OnlySaneWoman: Her bosses are (when in character) a mad scientist and a quirky redneck; it would be difficult for her to ''not'' be the sanest member of such a group.
* OtakuSurrogate: Says that Japan is the best place ever for having Nintendo, anime, and sushi.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: She’s the only female host.
* ThrowTheDogABone: Kinda. She gets her own spinoff show, but it's only really a way to not actually pay her. In addition to that, in later Death Battle episodes, her bosses sometimes advertise her show at the end of their episode.

Go [[SelfDemonstrating/{{DUMMI}} here]] for his self-demonstrating page.
----
* AICronym: His, or rather the entire DUMMI line's, full designation is "Disposable Unit for Meticulous Matchup Investigations".
* AnimalsHateHim: Or at least, cyber animals do, as when DUMMI finally encounters Mecha Goose Howard in ''Heihachi Mishima vs. Geese Howard'', the cyber-goose scares him off with maser blasts, much to Boomstick's amusement and Wiz's embarrassment.
* ButtMonkey: It's his ''job description''! His first appearance has him get '''''disintegrated''''' and Wiz has ''plenty'' more.
* CessationOfExistence: The first iteration of DUMMI suffers from this courtesy of being subjected to destruction energy via Wizard. Fortunately, Wiz has many copies of DUMMI to replace destroyed models.
* TheCynic: He doesn't have a very great view on life, citing how there's no point to his own existence. Given he was designed and built by Wiz to be a [[{{Pun}} test dummy]], it's not hard to see why he's like this. In fact he's so cynical that even Ringmaster gets bummed out by him.
* DeadpanSnarker: You have to be to deliver quips like Wiz and Boomstick.
* DeathGlare:
** His response to Boomstick ordering him to clean up the Venom Boomstick vomited onto the floor (and onto DUMMI himself.)
** He also gives Boomstick this look in response to Boomstick using him as a glorified beer carrier in "Hulk vs. Broly".
* DeathSeeker: On account of being a StrawNihilist. He doesn't try preventing Wiz from destroying him -- or Boomstick, after the analysis.
-->'''Boomstick''': Can I blow him up this time?\
'''DUMMI''': I look forward to it.
* TheDogBitesBack: Uses a device to invoke a FreakyFridayFlip on Wiz and Boomstick during ''Lex Luthor VS Doctor Doom'', while they're discussing Doom's ability to do the same. When Wiz-in-Boomstick's body demands that DUMMI change them back, DUMMI just floats off and laughs.
* EvenTheDogIsAshamed: Wiz insulting Boomstick's ex-wife not only sets Boomstick off, but even DUMMI is disappointed in Wiz for making such an insult, complete with disapprovingly shaking his head.
* FlatJoy: His response to Wiz deciding not to freeze him, he even flatly says "Genuine joy." before leaving.
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: In the post-fight analysis of "Red Team vs. Blue Team", he interrupts Boomstick making a BondOneLiner to smugly point out that the Blue Team could've won even easier by releasing "the superior power of artificial intelligence units", only for Boomstick to ask DUMMI, "Ya ever wonder why ''you're'' here?" And DUMMI flatly replies, "All the time..."
* InsufferableGenius: He, like Wiz, doesn't hesitate to call Boomstick out whenever he gets something wrong. [[ButtMonkey For all the good it does him]].
* JobStealingRobot: Boomstick initially believes that this is what DUMMI is.
--> '''Boomstick''': You're trying to replace me!
* KickTheDog: He laughs callously at Boomstick after Wiz blowtorches him. Then again, DUMMI's most likely happy that Wiz is not blowtorching ''him'' instead.
* MachineMonotone: He talks like this, given weight by his StrawNihilist personality. The only time he raises his voice is when he experiences immense pain - even being transmuted into pure fire didn't get more than a simple [-ow-] from him.
* MadeOfIron: [[{{Pun}} Yes, haha, we get the joke]], but while DUMMI doesn't look like much, the only things that have so far been able to destroy him are [[Anime/DragonballSuper Destruction ki]] (which erases anything it touches from existence), when he simulated what happens to an [[StuffBlowingUp unstable atom when its electrons are removed]] due to Boomstick's curiosity, and the [[Series/DoctorWho D-Materializer]] (which [[RetGone erases the target from time itself]]).
* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: It's very clear that he experiences pain, but unless it is from something ''excruciatingly'' painful, like being erased from existence, he doesn't even yell out in pain.
--> '''DUMMI''': ''(After having been turned into pure fire)'' [-Ow...-]
* MeaningfulName: He's literally a crash test dummy for the Death Battle co-hosts.
* NoodleIncident: Apparently, he signed the contract full of creepy green ghosts that Wiz tricks Boomstick into signing in "Yoda vs. King Mickey".
* NotSoStoic: His deadpan annoyance disappears when Boomstick pukes on him (having tried to drink the Venom chemical rather than inject it) and he looks [[https://i.imgur.com/qnJrxBH.png genuinely freaked out]]. Followed by him actually glaring angrily when Boomstick orders him to clean the mess up.
* PlayfulCatSmile: In ''Zuko vs. Shoto Todoroki'', when Wiz Firebends and accidentally hits Boomstick with fire instead of him, he makes one of these after laughing.
* ARareSentence: In "Wally West vs. Archie Sonic", describing how Ixis Naugus somehow caused Bunnie Rabbot's cyborg parts to return to flesh and blood, it was "a sentence so absurd, it likely damaged [his] internal processor".
* ServileSnarker: He makes no attempt at hiding his snide towards Wiz and Boomstick, but still works for them, anyway.
* {{Troll}}: Shoots a beer can at Boomstick during "Yoda vs. King Mickey" to make him think he can summon it like a Keyblade.
* WeHaveReserves: DUMMI has numerous backup bodies, as Wiz confirms after destroying one.
* WhatTheHellHero: He calls Wiz and Boomstick out for the way they treat him after receiving two Batarangs to the head in "Batgirl vs Spider-Gwen", one of which just hurt him, and the other one electrocuted him and made him behave like he's drunk.

* ArtEvolution: The first time we see her in a portrait during Thanos vs. Darkseid, she looked even more like her son only with a grey moustache and hair, in her debut however she has a more unique design while still having traits to her appearance similar to Boomstick.
* GirlsWithMoustaches: She has stubble on her face similar to her son's.
* GoodParents: Unlike Boomstick's father [[spoiler:Sarge]], Mama Boomstick, despite only having a small amount of screentime compared to her son, shows that despite her quirks, she was certainly a great mother to Boomstick when he was a child, even if Boomstick's childhood went into some weird places at times.
* GunNut: Just like her son.
* LethalChef: According to Wiz, Mama Boomstick is one. Boomstick disagrees with him, or is at least willing to defend her cooking as better than this.
* LikeParentLikeChild: She's just as obsessed with guns as her son.
* LookingForLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: According to Boomstick in the "Top 10 [[ShotgunsAreJustBetter Boomsticks]]" video, she went through ''13 ex-husbands'' before he wasn't even ''five years old,'' before she settled on hubby number 14.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: She looks almost exactly like Boomstick. In "Scooby-Doo VS Courage", Wiz thinks she's just Boomstick in a horrible wig... until Boomstick enters the scene as well.
