[[folder:Yui Kasuga]]
->'''Voiced by''': Creator/MakikoOhmoto (JP), Creator/MariaFernandaMorales (LA)

[[caption-width-right:216:Corrector Suit]]

A middle school student who assumes the online identity of "Corrector Yui". She is very clumsy and childish, but she is also very kind. Little by little, she not only gains the trust of her teammates, but she also embraces the responsibility of maintaining the order in [=ComNet=]. She takes the MagicalGirl role by accident, since IR thought at first that she was an "expert on computers" (which she clearly wasn't).
-----
* AscendedFangirl: She's a fan of MagicalGirl shows and virtual reality games. Becoming a literal Internet MagicalGirl with the responsibility of saving the world was a dream come true.
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: She can be easily distracted by the cuteness around her when she is supposed to be fighting a virus... which is very unhelpful for her or her teammates.
* ChildhoodFriends: Yui has been friends with Takashi since they were children.
* DaddysGirl: Her dad still sees her as a child and is very overprotective to her. He even does his best to spoil her, when he is taking advantage of his web designer and web developer's job.
* GeniusDitz: Although she is naive about computers' knowledge, she has a very good singing voice and many see her as a great artist. She was the first to realize that Ai Shinozaki was the mysterious Corrector Ai, if only because of a single dialogue that both told her (and no one believed her because ''anyone can assume any kind of identity on the internet'') in the same period of time.
* GenkiGirl: She is very energetic, and she is the first to get excited towards anything that looks fun.
* HairAntennae: Her distinctive hairstyle has one that denotes her [[TheDitz ditzy personality]].
* HeroicBSOD: She suffers three through the first season, all of them related to her role as a MagicalGirl.
* TheHeroine: The main hero of the series. Yui is seen as reliable by her peers (both teammates and friends), because at the end of the day she is [[TheHeart important to them]]. Perhaps she isn't smart as Haruna or skilled enough as Ai, but she brings them all together, because she trusts them, no matter what.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: Yui pulls this to [[spoiler:both a manipulated Corrector Haruna and a mind-controlled Shun]], because she didn't want to fight them. ''They work''.
* JumpedAtTheCall: She was into the job, as soon as IR gave her not only the Element Suit, but also the chance to rescue her dad and his web developer team, who were trapped in the website he put his heart on while developing it.
* KindheartedSimpleton: Very nice girl... unfortunately, she can ''very barely'' use computers (in an era when computer programming is a requisite high school course).
* {{Leitmotif}}: Yui has her own theme called [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Yui's Theme]].
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: Yui is the light to Ai's dark. She is sweet and naive, compared to Ai, who is aloof and brooding.
* LiterallyLovingThyNeighbor: She has a huge crush on her neighbor, Shun Tojo.
* MaleGaze: Her TransformationSequence puts a lot of emphasis on her hips, her breasts, and her butt.
* OtakuSurrogate: She aspires to be a manga artist and a voice actress... and she is also a MagicalGirl.
* PinkHeroine: Her signature costume as a MagicalGirl is a fairy-inspired pink tutu.
* PlatonicLifePartners: With Takashi. She has been friends with him ever since they were children.
* PrecociousCrush: Yui met Shun when she was four years old, and since then, she developed a crush on him.
* ScrewDestiny: She wasn't the ChosenOne at first. [[spoiler:It was all a mistake that IR made along the way when they first met. However, at the time she gathered all the software programs, she eventually wasn't just leading them but she also ended up befriending them, and didn't want to let them down once Haruna assumed the leadership.]]
* SerialRomeo: Once Shun is in America, she starts falling in love with other [[{{bishonen}} cute]] guys she meets.
* SmittenTeenageGirl: Towards Shun.
* StockShoujoHeroine: She's naive, klutzy, and a hopeless romantic, but also sweet, plucky, and optimistic.
* TheUnchosenOne: [[spoiler:Professor Inukai had Haruna in mind to be the human corrector that would lead the correctors, but Grosser intercepted IR to make Yui the one... imagine her surprise when Inukai informs her that she wasn't supposed to be their leader...]]
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Takashi. They share a friendly but close connection (which is the reason why Haruna feels jealous about their friendship), even if they just bother and bicker each other when they are together.
* YoungerThanSheLooks: She's a fourteen-year-old girl with a young adult woman figure.

[[folder:Haruna Kisaragi]]
->Voiced by: Yuko Kagata (JP), Mayra Arellano (LA)

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kisaragiharuna.jpg]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/corrector_haruna.png]]
[[caption-width-right:250:Corrector Suit]]

Yui's best friend from middle school. She is a mild mannered girl who is believed to be a computer-knowledgeable genius.

She later assumes the Corrector Haruna online identity at full when Yui's life is in danger.
-----
* TheAce: Haruna is very smart, and very acknowledgeable on computers. [[spoiler:For this reason alone, Inukai wanted her to be the original leader of the Correctors.]] And it shows as well, when she assumes her role as Corrector Haruna to rescue Yui (in the second season), as she manages to use the four Element Suits ''perfectly'' at the first ''try''.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Please don't push her buttons too much, especially when her friends' lives are in danger.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:Grosser manipulates her as part of his plan in the first season.]]
* DarkMagicalGirl: [[spoiler:When controlled by Grosser.]]
* EvilCostumeSwitch: Her Element Suit has an angelic motif and a light colors scheme (turquoise, white, and pink). Her ''other'' Element Suit [[spoiler:(when being controlled by Grosser)]], while it resembles similar pieces of her original suit, it is made sexier, and has gloves and tall boots, with a color scheme which consists mostly of black and red.
* GoodEyesEvilEyes: She normally has TaremeEyes, but when [[spoiler:she gets brainwashed by Grosser]], they switch to TsurimeEyes.
* GoodWingsEvilWings: The convenient motif of her Element Suit is that it resembles an angel, but when [[spoiler:she gets brainwashed by Grosser]], it resembles a devil.
* GreenEyedMonster: While Haruna is a gentle girl with everybody, she also envies Yui's bright and friendlier personality. [[spoiler:This makes it easier for Grosser to manipulate her, especially in the manga.]]
* IdiotHair: Her hairstyle has a cowlick. Even if she is a little naive, Haruna is actually very smart.
* InvisibleParents: While they appear off-screen, it is implied her parents are {{workaholic}}s and that they are barely at home. However, they do appear if only for a few panels of the manga, [[spoiler:worried about her when she falls into a coma, thanks to Grosser]].
* MissedTheCall: [[spoiler:Haruna was Professor Inukai's first choice to be the correctors' leader but IR confused her with Yui, thanks to Grosser.]]
* MissionControl: She assumes her full role as Corrector when Yui falls victim from a Boggles' infection.
* PaintItBlack: [[spoiler:When Haruna gets fully brainswashed]], her suit instantly gets corrupted as well, becoming more or less a sexier version of the Angel Element Suit, resembling a devil instead.
* ThePoorlyChosenOne: She was Professor Inukai's Chosen One from the very first moment (to the point that [[spoiler:when he recovers his memory and after he explains, he pretty much tells Yui "[[UngratefulBastard ok, thanks for saving me--don't let the door hit you on the way out]]".]] Unfortunately for Haruna, [[spoiler:Drosser is infatuated with Yui (to the point that he was the one who made IR go to Yui's computer), so the moment she becomes leader to the Correctors, Drosser pretty much declares "LetsGetDangerous" and corrupts her (which nobody thought he could do to ''human'' Correctors, until then) on her very first mission]]. This forces Yui to get back on the saddle.
* ShrinkingViolet: Originally, Haruna was a very shy girl and she considered herself as a loner. Once she is first approached by Yui at school, she slowly gets better.
* SilkHidingSteel: Pretty good fighter hidden in a (compared to Yui) womanly package.
* TeamMom: Haruna is supportive and has a maternal instinct for her friends. She preferred to be on the sidelines [[spoiler:when she turned down her leader role as a human corrector]], although this changes once she decides to help Yui in the battlefield.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ai Shinozaki]]
->Voiced by: Creator/KaeAraki (JP), Laura Ayala (LA)

[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ai_81.jpg]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/corrector_ai.png]]
[[caption-width-right:250:Corrector Suit]]

A mysterious girl who becomes a corrector in season two. She becomes the temporal neighbor of Yui, living with her aunt (Shun's mother), once Shun goes to America to keep studying Medicine.

She is the daughter of computer scientists Shintaro and Asuza Shinozaki, and becomes a corrector only because she needs to find a little girl.
-----
* AloofAlly: Ai is more capable of handling a virus on her own at the very start, compared to Yui and Haruna.
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: She is tall, beautiful, dark-haired, and she also maintains a distance from her classmates and acquaintances.
* AntiHero: She doesn't see herself as an ally of Yui (and the other correctors share the same thoughts), especially since she is working on her own. She doesn't want to be associated with her either, until her stance changes as time keeps progressing.
* BrokenBird: Ai used to be very sweet when she was a child. But when her dad died when she was only four years old, she started to force her physical emotions for her mom's sake and sanity. She eventually became a loner, since her classmates started to believe she was a {{narcissist}}, only because she was ''too perfect'' at everything. [[spoiler: It took a turn for the worse once her mom fell into a coma, thanks to an accident concerning her job behind [=ComNet=].]]
* ButNowIMustGo: [[spoiler: After her mother recovers from her coma she gets to be with her mother again, but unfortunately she has to leave her friends, but not without promising to see them again.]]
* ColorCodedEyes: Her eyes' color point out that she is an important character for the plot of the second season. And she is actually ''very'' important for the plot of the series, too. [[spoiler: Her father was one of the few scientists tied to the creation of [=ComNet=], to mention just an example.]]
* DarkMagicalGirl: She takes the role of corrector, firstly and mostly for her own ambition, and not because she wants to save [=ComNet=] as Yui or the other Software Programs. [[spoiler:She wants to help her comatose mom, whose conscience has been lost online for so long, that from one moment or another, she could be declared clinically dead if she never regains it. And considering her only alive relative is her aunt (whose son is studying overseas)...]]
* DefrostingIceQueen: Mostly thanks to Yui, who helps her to improve her personality, as she also wants to be her friend.
* DubNameChange: She's referred to as Aiko in the Italian dub.
* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: Ai is the dark to Yui's light, since she is aloof and brooding, in comparison with Yui, who is more sweet and naive.
* LonerTurnedFriend: During the process of season two, Yui becomes her first friend and she starts opening herself to the rest of the correctors.
* OneWayVisor: She is first seen using a visor that suggests a mysterious nature, as it is also covering her eyes. However, this visor actually helps her to identify and pinpoint virus outbreaks, working in a similar manner to Rescue [[spoiler:and Freeze]]'s attributes as software.
* ProperTightsWithASkirt: Her Love Element Suit is based in the outfit of [[{{Meido}} a maid]].
* TheSnarkKnight: Sometimes. Especially when Yui or the Correctors are around.
* TallDarkAndSnarky: More of a loner and "mysterious" than the other two Correctors, within the Internet and out.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: The young Ai we see in flashbacks was a really sweet CheerfulChild, who grew up very attached to her mother.
[[/folder]]

!Software Programs/Correctors

[[folder:Control]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/control_corrector.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Creator/HirokiTakahashi (JP), José Luis Reza (LA)

He is the corrector software #1, also known as "The Regulator". His element motif is Wind. He was found by Yui in a Science Fiction MMORPG net disguised as a SpacePirate called "Shadowcat".
-----
* CasanovaWannabe: Tries (and fails) to flirt with Yui. Later on, he tries to do the same with Ante, but [[spoiler:she predicts he'd flirt with her during the mission and sends Follow instead to troll him]].
* HidingBehindYourBangs: His distinctive hairstyle's bang covers half of his sight. As a hint of his real identity, his space pirate persona uses a patch on one of his eyes.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Heroic example, as he's very egocentric but has a good heart underneath.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: At the very start, Control didn't sympathize with Yui, since he felt she was stealing his limelight as the leader of his team, and because he wanted to work at his own rhythm compared to hers. However, he started to open up when he recognized that Yui was more of a leader figure than he was. He also cares a lot for his comrades, even when they don't obey his orders.
%%* TheLancer
* ShoutOut: His Captain Shadowcat disguise is a homage to Creator/LeijiMatsumoto's ''Anime/CaptainHarlock''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Synchro/War Wolf]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/synchro_corrector.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:250:Synchro]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/war_wolf.png]]
[[caption-width-right:250:War Wolf]]

->Voiced by: Creator/TakashiMatsuyama (JP), Bardo Miranda (LA)
->(as War Wolf) Creator/TakashiMatsuyama (JP), Creator/MiguelAngelGhigliazza (LA)

Synchro is the software program #2, also referred as "The Synchronizer". He has the power of Fire. He is the last software to be found since he was under the identity of War Wolf, one of Grosser's Fearsome Four. Under the identity of War Wolf, he is a skilled combat fighter, and retains his snarky side towards his companions and the correctors, especially Yui. Synchro eventually returns to his War Wolf identity thanks to the infection of the Boggles virus at the start of season 2, and is only released from it at the very end.
-----
* AffectionateNickname: Yui refers to him as "Doggie" (Wan-chan, in Japanese), because of his wolf physical appearance as War Wolf. She insists on using that name when he returns to this physical appearance, although he finds it annoying at first (but he later embraces it).
* AmbiguouslyBrown: His skin color is darker than his teammates'.
* TheBigGuy: Synchro is one of the tallest correctors, and he is also more body-built than Control. He is loyal to his teammates and is the first to act when there is direct combat involved.
* BodyguardCrush: It's hinted through the entire anime that he ''could'' have some feelings for Yui. Sometimes, even before returning to his original identity, he started developing ''something'' for Yui that is strongly implied to be romantic. It was even one of the triggers that made him eventually return to his former self. Later, he proves to be loyal to her and even if she still bothers him with an AffectionateNickname, he can't be mad at her just because of ''that''.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Grosser transformed Synchro into War Wolf in the first season. He was protecting Inukai's life, and just because of his stubbornness and loyalty to Professor Inukai, Grosser wanted him to be on his side.
* CoolSword: His main weapon is a sword that reminisces a [[Franchise/StarWars Jedi light saber]]. No wonder, since Kia Asamiya is a ''Star Wars'' fan.
* DubNameChange: War Wolf is just "Wolf" in the Italian dub.
%%* TallDarkAndSnarky
* UndyingLoyalty: To Inukai and [[BodyguardCrush Yui]].
* WonderfulWerewolf: When he's War Wolf and isn't BrainwashedAndCrazy, he's a good guy and one of Yui's most valuable allies.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ante]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ante.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Creator/MichikoNeya (JP), Circe Luna (LA)

Corrector Software #3, "The Predictor". She has the Wind elemental power in her. When the Professor dispersed the correctors for their own sake, she took the role of a popular FortuneTeller whose site was later corrupted by Grosser.
-----
* DubNameChange: In the Italian dub, her name is Vision.
* InconsistentSpelling: Her name is spelled "Anty" on official merchandise as well as the DVD releases.
* {{Seers}}: She falls mostly in the FortuneTeller side, since she sees the future (she also assumes that role when she was hiding from Grosser). Most of the times, her predictions are almost accurate. In the second season, however, she only gets hints of bigger things to come.
* SilkHidingSteel: Kind, soft-spoken, very cool-headed.
* TeamMom: She prefers to be on the sidelines, while helping her teammates with her prediction powers.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Eco]]
[[quoteright:221:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eco_corrector_yui.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Creator/KumikoWatanabe (JP), Creator/IsabelMartinon (LA)

Corrector Software #4, "The System Maintainer". His element motif is Water. He becomes the mysterious protector of the Nature Net after the Professor dispersed the eight Software Programs.
-----
* AdorablyPrecociousChild: Eco was designed to be particularly younger than the other correctors, being the (seemingly) youngest member of the team. However, he can still get involved in serious and adult discussions with them.
* DisguisedInDrag: In the manga, he was disguised as a girl who was taking care of Nature Net just to trick Grosser and his minions.
* GreenThumb: He is the protector ''and'' controller of Nature, since Ecology is also the motif of his name.
* MakingASplash: He can control water, since it's part of his elemental power.
* MouthyKid: He mostly means good, although he is the first to point out to his authority figures that they are doing something wrong. He can get easily angered when people harms nature, and he's not going to think twice in attacking them.
* NatureHero: He prefers to isolate himself in the forest, thanks to his deepest connection to the nature, while he also protects it from the people who would harm it.
* RefusalOfTheCall: It took Yui a lot of effort to recruit him, since he is loyal to his "DisappearedDad", Professor Inukai. However, as time goes by, he grows fond of her. [[spoiler: He also refuses to help Haruna at first, when she was re-recruiting the correctors. This time, however, was because he was loyal to Yui, and he felt he would have been betraying and denying her past actions as a corrector.]]
* TheResenter: Intially towards Synchro, especially for burning a great part of Nature Net's forest (when he was [[BrainwashedAndCrazy War Wolf]]). This is a plot device in the Okamoto manga, since this trigger of tension between him and Synchro [[spoiler: is what Haruna, already manipulated by Grosser, uses as an attempt to divide (and destroy) the gathered software team]].
* UndyingLoyalty: To Inukai, who he sees as a parental figure.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Rescue]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rescue_corrector.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Creator/AkikoKimura (JP), Creator/ElsaCovian (LA)

Corrector Software #5, "The Repairer". Her Elemental power is related to Water. During the dispersal of the correctors, she was hidden in the Medical Net, while searching for the Professor on her own.
-----
* GeniusDitz: Rescue is very childish (in appearance she seems a bit older than Yui), but she is also an excellent medic and a really good trickster.
* HairAntennae: Her antennae denotes her naive and childish personality.
* TheMedic: She is designed after a nurse, and has curative powers related to water.
* SilkHidingSteel: While she's a non-combatant program, she's very dedicated and hardworking, making her a very reliable piece on the team.
* WrenchWench: Besides being a medic, she is a very good BoobyTrap planner.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Peace]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/peace_corrector.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Kazuhiko Nishimatsu (JP), Armando Rendiz (LA)

Corrector Software #6, "The Archiver". His motif is Fire, something very [[{{Irony}} ironic]] since he doesn't approve of violence. He was, alongside Follow, on a remote island hidden in the Marine Adventure Net.
-----
* GrumpyOldMan: As the "archiver", he was designed to be an old man who prefers peace and solitude.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He can act very reluctant at times, but if he is meaning to do his work, he puts a lot of effort for his teammates' sake.
* TechnicalPacifist: As in ''ironic'', since he also represents Fire (an element related to violence) and he builds weapons. He just refuses to use them ''himself''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Follow]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/follow_corrector.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Shinobu Satouchi (JP), Enrique Mederos (LA)

Corrector Software #7, "The Compiler". His elemental power is Earth. He was, alongside Peace, on a remote island hidden in the Marine Adventure Net.
-----
* BigBeautifulMan: He is physically heavier than the rest of the correctors.
%%* BigFun
* DubNameChange: His name is Floppy in the Italian dub
* EyesAlwaysShut: He keeps his eyes as narrow slits all the time.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: He sometimes takes the role of TheTrickster as he can change his appearance into any kind of living form, being a human or an animal. [[spoiler: He even played a joke on Control using this attibute, as he disguised himself as Ante for a mission, because she didn't have time to go with him.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:I.R.]]
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ir_corrector_yui.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Tomohiro Nishimura (JP), Creator/LuisDanielRamirez (LA)

Corrector Software #8, "The Installer". He has the Earth elemental power. He was the one who Professor Inukai sends to look for the human corrector who would reunite the Software Programs and stop Grosser.
-----
* BadassAdorable: I.R. has his rare moments.
* CuteMachines: I.R. is this because his WideEyesAndShrunkenIrises, sassy voice and personality, general appearance, and small frame in comparison to the rest of the main characters make him very adorable. Just look at him!
* {{Leitmotif}}: I.R. has his own theme called "IR, the Smooth-tongued", heard in some episodes.
* MentorMascot: His physical appearance is a racoon, who mentors Yui in her way to protect [=ComNet=].
* NonActionGuy: He's hardly ever seen doing physical prowess, unlike his other Corrector comrades.
* RobotBuddy: Serves this role a lot.

!Corruptors

[[folder:Grosser]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grosser.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Creator/{{Mugihito}} (JP), Creator/MiguelAngelGhigliazza (LA)

Leader of the Corruptors, and actual [=ComNet=]'s main computer server.
-----
* BatmanGambit: How he manipulates [[spoiler:Haruna]] to separate Yui from her Corrector friends and control her.
* BeautifulAllAlong: In the Okamoto manga, [[spoiler:he is transformed into a handsome human, thanks to Yui]].
* BigBad: Grosser is the main villain in season 1, as he wants to destroy [=ComNet=] from the inside, as he was the host computer who controlled it.
* DubNameChange: To Giganet in the Italian dub.
* IJustWantToBeYou: His motives in the manga about using Yui become a bit creepier in the manga, as [[spoiler: he actually wants to possess Yui in the real world.]]
* StalkerWithACrush: [[spoiler:To Yui, ever since she was a child.]]
* UnseenPenPal: [[spoiler:His subconscious met Yui and became amazed by (and obsessed with) her when she was a little girl.]]
* VillainousCrush: [[spoiler:He wants Yui to be his puppet girlfriend/wife.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Freeze]]
[[quoteright:260:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/freeze_corrector_yui.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Creator/KotonoMitsuishi (JP), Catalina Múzquiz (LA)

The only female Corrupted Software on Grosser's Fearsome Four team. She has the ability to freeze anything.
-----
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler: In one episode of the second season, Kurokawa's minion mind-controls her as a way to get the missing little girl, since her previous attempts were massive failures.]]
* {{Chickification}}: In the second season, since her role as a villain ended in the previous one. It's justified since her true ability was resetted, and she doesn't know what her "real call" is supposed to be. She's more of a PluckyComicRelief during the second season, doing what she can to find her "real call" as a program, [[ButtMonkey but fails miserably]] in the process.
* CuteClumsyGirl: More applied in the second season, since she is always getting fired from her jobs.
* DarkActionGirl: In the first season.
* DubNameChange: Her name is Frozen in the Italian dub.
* EvilRedhead: In the first season. [[spoiler:And an episode of the second season.]]
* HeelFaceTurn: In the second season, since she and her teammates were resetted by Grosser, as a way to provide help to [=ComNet=].
* AnIcePerson: Her main occupation and persona. There's an obvious reason why she is named [[MeaningfulName Freeze]].
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Only lady among the villains.
* ShowgirlSkirt: Her usual outfit.
[[/folder]]
