[[folder:In General]]
[[quoteright:290:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download_626.png]]
* AirstripOne: Britannia has a policy of renaming captured nations as numbered Areas, with Japan being Area 11 and the Middle Eastern Federation being Area 18, for example. By extension, all natives of these regions are referred to by the FantasticSlur of their numbers (e.g. Elevens for Japanese).
* HeelRaceTurn: Of sorts. The Britannian military is absorbed into the Black Knights at the end of the series. The nation as a whole also joins the UFN.
* InvincibleVillain: Prior to the series, Britannia had apparently never lost a military campaign, which is only defied in the alternate timeline of ''Re;surrection'' with Zilkhistan.
* TheEmpire: [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin The name doesn't lie]] - Britannia is a globe-spanning empire that actively seeks to conquer the rest of the world.
* CultureChopSuey: Though the series doesn't really dive into the finer aspects of Britannian culture, it's depicted as ostensibly based on the worst aspects of the British Empire, but also with elements Arthurian, Celtic, and Germanic culture (while the former two had some influence on each other, the latter's influence was at best moderate). It's extremely violent court politicking (where siblings had to kill each other sometimes just to survive), also brings to mind the Ottoman Empire, when it was one of the most dangerous places to be royalty.
** It's role in the story as an aggressive, hyper-expansionist, autocratic state with harsh racialist beliefs, also brings to mind the Axis powers from World War 2. [[spoiler: Britannia's state in the aftermath, as a state that while still powerful and advanced, becomes secondary to a larger, democratic faction, while having its entire culture effectively rebooted also resembles the fate of both Germany and Japan.]]
* GameChanger: The development of the Knightmare Frame was this for Britannia, as the numerous innovations it brought allowed the nation to dominate all battlefields going forward.
* ThePsychoRangers: Cornelia's forces in R1 fulfil this role rather nicely with the Black Knights:
** Cornelia is Lelouch's counterpart, being a Britannian princess who leads her forces in battle. But while Cornelia is a mainly physical fighter, Lelouch is a strategist who just chooses to lead from the front.
** Kallen and Suzaku are the respective aces for their factions, but Suzaku is a naive idealist who gets minimal respect from Britannia while Kallen is a more cynical fighter and is afford more respect by her peers. Additionally, most of the threat from Suzaku is due to his AceCustom Knightmare Frame being a SuperPrototype and having an extremely versatile arsenal. Kallen's Knightmares are advanced, but her threat comes primarily from skill.
** The Glaston Knights are the QuirkyMinibossSquad counterpart to the Four Holy Swords, though Tohdoh's rival is split between Guillford (melee fighter, personally respected by their leaders) and Darlton (leader of their respective groups, enjoys close camaraderie with their subordinates).
** Lloyd and Rakshata are counterparts, but are really too similar in personality to make judgements if one is worse than the other.
** Euphemia and Kaguya are both innocent females aligned with the otherwise more morally grey groups, but while Euphemia prefers a peaceful solution, Kaguya just wants to follow Zero and have him as her husband.
* ShoutOut: Their dominion over the Americas and rest of the world, as well as a habit of naming captured nations as Areas, brings to mind [[Literature/NineteenEightyFour Oceania]].
* VestigialEmpire: [[spoiler:Britannia is reduced to just the homeland after the Area System is abolished. Its social system is also nearly unrecognizable, as it's dissolved and reorganized into the Principality of Britannia, a constitutional monarchy.]]
* WhiteMansBurden: What we see in the Tokyo Tower Museum implies that Britannia holds this view for the entire world - as the most advanced nation on the planet, they need to conquer everyone else so that these people can be advanced for their own sake. The military and the royal family downplay this, as while they certainly espouse this view, conquest for the sake of dominion is also in their world view.

-->''"You must make a decision. Abandon science to preserve your heart or destroy your heart to pursue science"''.

An earl of the Britannian Empire and the series' main MadScientist.
----
* AntiVillain: Again, he works for the BigBad and enjoys making deadlier weapons but he himself is indifferent to the war.
* AristocratsAreEvil: He likes to play the part of the remorseless lord scientist, but it's really an act.
* ArrangedMarriage: [[spoiler:Plans one to Milly so he can gain access to some antique Knightmare frames. Later, she calls it off.]]
* BlueBlood: He's actually a Britannian Earl.
* BrutalHonesty: Never ever sugarcoats his opinions.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: A brilliant and snarky engineer who's also a graceless misfit and loves pudding. See also DitzyGenius, below.
* CatchPhrase: '''OMEDETO!''' (Congratulations!)
* CelibateEccentricGenius: Very smart, very quirky, and has no interest in the opposite or the same sex. He claims to get the "general idea" of sexual relationships, but his true passion is scientific research. Somewhat subverted in that it's implied he formerly had a relationship with Rakshata and there are several hints that he and Cécile have feelings for each other.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: His coworkers see him as over-energetic oddball.
* DeadpanSnarker: Even in the midst of battles he snarks.
* DitzyGenius: Far more genius than ditz, but he still has his ditzy moments.
* EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether: He and Jeremiah attended the same academy. According to Jeremiah, Lloyd caused a lot of trouble because of his lab experiments, which Lloyd doesn't remember.
* ForScience: He clearly doesn't care about the war either way; he's just a big kid making bigger toys.
* GeniusSweetTooth: He isn't known by some as the "Earl of pudding" for nothing.
* HiddenHeartOfGold: He doesn't want anyone to know how much he cares about those closest to him. At his best, he cares about his coworkers but doesn't show it well. See also SugarAndIcePersonality.
* InSeriesNickname: Rival MadScientist Rakshata Chawla dubs him "The Earl of Pudding" -- supposedly in honor of his [[TrademarkFavoriteFood favorite food]].
* InsufferableGenius: He's a MadScientist who is also something of a JerkWithAHeartOfGold.
* LackOfEmpathy: Happily and ''willingly'' divorced himself from his humanity so he will never again need to feel pain for the suffering of others.
* MadScientist: A mostly benign version. Not evil enough to be 100% MadScientist, but too young and too quirky to be TheProfessor.
* ManChild: His excitement around mecha, especially getting his hands on an antique, is positively child-like.
* NoSocialSkills: It would be an understatement to say he's not a people person.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: In Stage 25 of R1 - Upon realizing that [[spoiler:Nina's actually built a FLEIJA]], Lloyd has a massive OhCrap moment and starts screaming for both the Britannians & Black Knights to enter a cease-fire; with Rakshata noting that if it's got Lloyd that worried, it's probably best to do what he says.
* PetTheDog: Along with Darlton, he starts the SlowClap at [[spoiler:Suzaku's knighting ceremony.]]
* TheQuisling: [[spoiler:Along with Nina, Sayoko, and Cécile, Lloyd pretends to be this under Lelouch's direction; they assisted Lelouch's Zero Requiem to achieve world peace, but as Lelouch would be eventually hated as the most tyrannical ruler in history, Lelouch has them defect to the Black Knights after they've accomplished their tasks to preserve their name after the war.]]
* SayItWithHearts: Lloyd often does this when talking to Suzaku in the manga.
* SlowClap: When Suzaku was knighted by Euphemia, he was initially the only one to applaud. Notably, this ''didn't'' prompt applause from the rest (that happened when General Dalton started applauding as well).
* TheSmartGuy: As the resident MadScientist and Knightmare expert, he serves as the brains of the Britannian forces.
* TheSociopath: Self-professed - he prefers to see humans as parts of a machine than actual people, interchangeable and replaceable. Later on, it's revealed he has [[HiddenHeartOfGold more of a heart than he let on.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Pudding, to the point Rakshata refers to him as the "Earl of Pudding".
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Along with Cécile he used to be friends with Rakshata Chawla back during their days at the Imperial Colchester Institute.

[[folder:Cécile Croomy]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KikukoInoue (Japanese), Creator/DeborahSaleButler (English)
[[quoteright:228:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cecile_groomy.png]]

-->''"Lancelot, launch!"''

Cécile Croomy is Lloyd's subordinate in Camelot and one of the Lancelot's developers. She is a capable scientist in her own right, having designed the Energy Wing system used on the Guren Seiten and the Lancelot Albion. Cécile is a kind-hearted woman and a good friend to Suzaku, often helping him with homework. She also acts as Lloyd's conscience, scolding him for his unintentionally rude remarks or for treating Suzaku as a "part" for his Mechas. A recurring joke is that Cécile is a bad cook, though no one has the heart to tell her. It seems to be implied in one of the {{picture drama}}s that Cécile is in love with Suzaku and that a former love of hers died in battle.
----
* AceCustom: During the First Battle of Tokyo at the end of the first season, Cécile makes use of a Customized Sutherland outfitted with a [[DeflectorShields Blaze Luminous]] and Float System to save [[BigDamnHeroes Suzaku]].
* AlliterativeName: '''C'''écile '''C'''roomy.
* BadassBookworm: Cécile is a brilliant scientist on par with Lloyd, and during the First Battle of Tokyo, she shows herself to be a fairly capable Knightmare pilot when she saves Suzaku and manages to hold off the Black Knights holding Ashford Academy pretty much single-handedly.
* BeleagueredAssistant: She often has to contend to problems caused by Lloyd's DitzyGenius ways.
* BigDamnHeroes: She saves Suzaku during the First Battle of Tokyo after Lelouch and the Black Knights disable the Lancelot with a Gefjun trap.
* CoolBigSis: She shows a sisterly interest in Suzaku, taking him under her wing and looking out for him during his time as Lancelot's pilot, even helping him with homework. Although there are hints her feelings for him are on the romantic side.
* CordonBleughChef: Cécile isn't a LethalChef per se, but she seems to not have any concept of what normal taste ''is'' (she puts ''jam'' in rice balls, and puts peanut butter, turmeric and ''wasabi paste'' in sandwiches. ''Together!'').
* FeminineWomenCanCook: {{Inverted|Trope}}, as although she's very feminine she's not a good cook. Justified in that she's busy being a scientist.
* GadgeteerGenius: She's the one who designed and created the Energy Wing System. Not even the {{Mad Scientist}}s could pull that off.
* LethalChef: A RunningGag is that she's a terrible cook, but since she's so kind, no one has the heart to tell her.
* MissionControl: To Suzaku when he's piloting; she gives tactical information.
* MsFanservice: {{Downplayed|Trope}}, she usually wears sensible clothing, but still gets a few {{Fanservice}} scenes, such as wearing a [[LadyInRed red dress]] with a NavelDeepNeckline and a ToplessnessFromTheBack shot while she's putting on her Knightmare driver bodysuit.
* MrsRobinson: Although not stated explicitly in the Anime, Cécile does indeed have strong feelings for Suzaku. Despite the age gap, Cécile confides to C.C. that she loves Suzaku in [[http://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/Turn_22.05 Turn 22.05]] of the R2 {{Picture Drama}}s, mentioning that this is true "if we go by the definition of love."
* NavelDeepNeckline: In her formal outfit she has a plunging neckline to her navel, revealing a lot more bust than her military uniform.
* NiceGirl: Even though she works for TheEmpire, she's right up there with the likes of Shirley, Nunnally, and Euphemia as far as being one of the nicest girls in the series.
* TheQuisling: [[spoiler:Along with Nina, Lloyd, and Sayoko, Cécile pretends to be this under Lelouch's direction; they assisted Lelouch's Zero Requiem to achieve world peace, but as Lelouch would be eventually hated as the most tyrannical ruler in history, Lelouch has them defect to the Black Knights after they've accomplished their tasks to preserve their name after the war.]]
* ShyBlueHairedGirl: Averted as she is anything but shy with her normal co-workers (Lloyd and Suzaku etc) but is flustered by Prince Schneizel (likely because of the prince part). Her demeanor around him [[MamaBear changes]] when he tells her he ordered the airstrike that almost killed Suzaku.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Works for TheEmpire but she's a NiceGirl and is one of the most sympathetic characters on the show, acting as a CoolBigSis to Suzaku.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Along with Lloyd she used to be friends with Rakshata Chawla back during their days at the Imperial Colchester Institute.
* YamatoNadeshiko: On many levels, as she's gentle, softspoken and voiced by Creator/KikukoInoue aka the patron saint of Yamato Nadeshiko characters; however, she has the habit of disciplining Lloyd with physical violence instead of polite nudging, something most don't do. Then there's her... ''special'' cooking, and most important of all, she doesn't seem to care about Japanese culture. Which is FridgeBrilliance if you think about it; Japan was ''stripped'' of its culture down to its name, so it makes sense that she would have all the traits except the extremely cultural ones.
* YouRemindMeOfX: The implied "interest" she has with Suzaku in Turn 22.05 is because he reminds her of her first love, who died in the line of duty as a Knightmare pilot, who was stubborn to do his duty for the empire.

!Royal Aides of Britannia

[[folder:Alicia Lohmeyer]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AkenoWatanabe (Japanese), Creator/DorothyEliasFahn (English)
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alicia_lohmeyer_30.jpg]]

Introduced in the second season. An aide to Nunnally seen after she was re-inducted into the royal family and swore in as Viceroy of Area 11. Though her true duty was to make sure Nunnally followed the Emperor's orders.
----
* AssholeVictim: [[spoiler:She ends up getting caught in the F.L.E.I.J.A. explosion triggered by Suzaku's "Live" command several weeks after she says Elevens deserve to burn in Hell.]]
* FantasticRacism: Makes it no secret she hates Elevens as her every advisement is to assert Britannians control over them. She nearly starts a second massacre of it during Zero's exile by almost firing into the crowd after they don Zero masks. Suzaku manages to prevent her in time.
* FourEyesZeroSoul: A glasses wearer and not at all a nice person.
* HateSink: While less vile than Luciano or the High Eunuchs, she's still given no sympathetic traits and just embodies the racist, discriminatory values of Britannia.
* {{Jerkass}}: Putting it lightly. She's one of the most despicable Britannias seen in the series.
* KarmicDeath: [[spoiler:She tries to bully Suzaku into massacring a crowd of Elevens, and insults his racial heritage for defying her. In Turn 18, she's killed by Suzaku when he fires the F.L.E.I.J.A. bomb as a result of his "live" Geass while she was trying to escape to Pendragon in the decoy ship]].
* TreacherousAdvisor: Tried to be one anyway, but Nunnally wouldn't be controlled or swayed to her way of thinking nor did Nunnally even trust her from the start. Even trying to have Kallen executed behind Nunnally's back winds up failing, [[spoiler:although this was due to Sayoko interfering while Lohmeyer was busy escaping during the UFN's assault on Tokyo]].
* WouldHurtAChild: She almost fired into a crowd of Elevens, which included kids, without a second thought.

[[folder:Jeremiah Gottwald]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KenNarita (Japanese), Creator/CrispinFreeman (English)
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jeremiah_gottwald.png]]

-->''"Orange? That is the name of my loyalty!"''

A high ranking soldier in the Britannian army who was initially not supposed to be in the series past his first few appearances, he winds up becoming a more important figure in season two.
-----
* AcePilot: He's an elite Knightmare pilot, being able to hold off ''four'' enemy pilots long enough for Suzaku to bail him out, and beats the hell out of Lelouch's Gawain with Lelouch being unable to land a single hit, until C.C. takes him down with a kamikaze attack. Then gets even more competent after he [[spoiler:joins Lelouch]]: He evades several strikes from V.V. despite being in a weaker Sutherland, when stronger Knightmares present aren't able to do so. He fights evenly with Suzaku and comes close to ''killing'' him (with help from Guilford) without taking any damage himself. And he wins against Anya by self-destructing his unit to blow open the Mordred, then jumps on top of it and forces her to surrender at swordpoint.
%%* AntiHero: On par with Lelouch thanks to his loyalty.
* AntiMagic: [[spoiler:As a {{Cyborg}}, he gets armed with the Geass canceller and is able to negate the effects of other Geass, which includes restoring memories suppressed or modified through Geass abilities.]]
* AristocratsAreEvil: ZigZagged. As a StarterVillain he comes off as very racist, being a member of the Purist faction but then he gets CharacterDevelopment and becomes one of Lelouch's most loyal allies.
* AxCrazy: Temporarily. [[spoiler:When he wakes up early from his first cybernetic surgery, the sound of Zero's voice over the broadcast system sends him into an UnstoppableRage, leading him to steal the Siegfried prototype mecha and rush break out of a research facility to go earn his first Moment of Awesome.]]
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:He not-quite-dies twice, and both times he's rebuilt.]]
* BadassBureaucrat: In season 1, Jeremiah was a talented Knightmare pilot as well as an administrator. After being [[spoiler:demoted, betrayed, nearly killed, "rebuilt," made into an assassin, and finally making a HeelFaceTurn to serve his prince, he goes all badass and no bureaucrat.]]
* BerserkButton: Do ''not'' under ''any'' circumstances call him "Orange" or "Orange Boy" He... doesn't like that. Of course, after [[spoiler:his HeelFaceTurn, this becomes much less of [[InsultBackfire an issue]].]]
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: He gains two of these, one embedded in each arm, after [[spoiler:his second round of modifications.]]
* BlueBlood: Part of the Noble/Pureblood Faction.
* BodyHorror: [[spoiler: His initial cyberization is a gruesome sight.]]
* BondVillainStupidity: Done deliberately during the GrandFinale, when he [[spoiler:lets Suzaku/Zero through the guards defending Lelouch by calling them off so he can "take Zero on himself". In truth, Jeremiah ''knows'' what Suzaku and Lelouch are up to, and he even encourages Suzaku to do his part in his mind.]]
--> ''Go on, young man.''
* BookEnds: In R2 Turn 13, Jeremiah intrudes Ashford Academy with intent to kill Lelouch and anyone who gets in his way. In post-R2 PictureDrama Turn 25.01, Jeremiah visits the school with Anya one last time to carry out Lelouch's final order and asks Anya if she wants to stay to attend Ashford.
* BreakoutCharacter: Was not planned to last beyond the show's first half, but unexpected popularity brought him an expanded role in the rest of the series.
* BreakTheHaughty: When Kallen incinerates his Sutherland, nearly killing him as he ejects with massive wounds.
* BrickJoke: He gets called "Orange" throughout the series as a means of an insult, which many characters poke fun at him for. Not only does he end up accepting the nickname as a sign of his loyalty to his master, he retires and becomes an ''orange'' farmer after the series.
* TheBrute: [[spoiler:He's this when first introduced, though he quickly devolves to an IneffectualSympatheticVillain. He also becomes this to Emperor Lelouch at the end. In both cases, he's the low authority strong man. However, unlike most examples of this trope, he is a decent and honourable man and though he has little (relative) authority, great trust is placed in him by Lelouch, who even saw fit to let him in on the Zero Requiem.]]
* CallToAgriculture: [[spoiler:He's an orange farmer after the GrandFinale.]]
* ChekhovsGunman: Averted. It's mentioned in Stage 4.33 that he has a little sister named Lilacia. This audio drama also reveals his connection to Lady Marianne, a fact that does become important later, but Lilacia is never brought up again.
* {{Cyborg}}: He is severely wounded by Kallen and her Guren Nishiki in episode 10, but by the end of episode 11, Bartley's science team find him and they save him by turning him into a cyborg (also in hope that they could replicate C.C.'s powers). It seems that a large portion of the left side of his body is now mechanical.
* {{Determinator}}: Can match (or possibly even beat) Kallen in this category, as ''nothing'' will stop him from carrying out his loyalty. '''Nothing''', be it having his knightmare explode while he's still in it (twice), having a skyscraper dropped on him, being dragged underwater to crushing depths, or even gefjun disturbers shutting down his cybernetics, he will not stay down for long. At first, Lelouch regards him with utter disdain ("Be crushed to dust, you ''relic''!"), which later becomes grudging respect ("Your persistence is first-class."). [[spoiler:Becomes an asset to Lelouch after the HeelFaceTurn, right down to obeying orders to assist in making his ''assassination'' look good.]]
%%* TheDragon: To Perry in ''Tales of an Alternate Shogunate''.
* ElectronicEye: [[spoiler:After he returns as a cyborg, he has one of his original orange eyes, and a green cybernetic replacement for the other.]]
* EmpoweredBadassNormal: With his [[spoiler:geass canceller and cyborg enhancements]], his training as a soldier makes much more effective.
* EtTuBrute: When Kewell betrays him and tries to murder him with the other purists. Luckily Suzaku and Villetta take his side.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: In Stage 4.33, when he starts [[ManlyTears crying]] about his failure to protect Lady Marianne, Villetta cheers him up by lightly scolding him, asking him what his little sister Lilacia would think if she saw him like that.
* EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether: He and Lloyd attended the same academy. According to Jeremiah, he took the heat for the accidents that happened from Lloyd's lab experiments. Jeremiah is annoyed when Lloyd states he doesn't remember any of it.
* FailureKnight: He was in charge of the palace guard the day Empress Marianne was murdered, therefore he has felt guilty for years because he couldn't stop or capture her assassins. To top it, the later deaths of Lelouch & Nunnally (presumably, of course) as well as Clovis ate at him even further. [[spoiler:And this triggers his {{Heel Face Turn}}.]]
%%* {{Foil}}: To Anya Alstreim.
* FreudianExcuse: It also turns out that his racism against the Japanese is because he thinks they were responsible for Lelouch and Nunnally's deaths.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Becomes this to the Britannians after the Orange Incident. He also becomes this [[spoiler:to the Black Knights when he defects. They don't trust him because of his former support for Britannia and the fact that Lelouch brought him on board without consulting anyone.]]
* GratuitousEnglish: A walking fountain of it, particularly in "ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!!", indeed.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:When Lelouch turned a trap on him in season 2, Jeremiah asks him why he's rebelling against Britannia. Lelouch tells him that its largely to avenge Marianne, his mother's death. Jeremiah tells Lelouch that he deeply respected and admired her, and his one regret in life was being unable to save her life. Lelouch then turns off the machine he was using to trap/kill Jeremiah, and instead asks him to serve. Jeremiah accepts.]]
* HeKnowsTooMuch: In the manga, instead of Villetta, he is the one that learns that Zero is Lelouch and gets shot for it by Shirley. He doesn't return until when it starts adapting R2.
%%* HollywoodCyborg:
* HonorBeforeReason: Subverts this when fighting Suzaku, telling him that he won't go easy on him just because he owes him his life.
* HotBlooded: He was always something of a ham, but he turns full-on '''bombastic''' by season two.
* HumiliationConga: He gets one ''way'' early in the series, shamed, demoted, defeated several times, [[spoiler:and not quite dies ''twice'' before he manages to regain his honor and dignity along with a HeelFaceTurn]].)
%%* IneffectualSympatheticVillain:
* InsultBackfire: [[spoiler:After his HeelFaceTurn, when his former comrades try to insult him with the name "Orange," he takes it as a ''compliment'' as it was a name given to him by Lelouch.]]
* {{Irony}}: He has General Bartley stripped of his position after disbelieving that Bartley couldn't remember ''anything'' about the assassination of Prince Clovis, especially since Bartley was supposed to guard him. When Lelouch uses his Geass on Jeremiah in a much more public scenario, Jeremiah finds himself on the receiving end of disbelief when he says he can't remember helping Zero and Suzaku escape capture. Another irony is that ''Bartley'' and his team are the ones who save his life before he could succumb to his wounds.
* KarmaHoudini: Despite being being complicit in [[spoiler:aiding Lelouch and being in on the Zero Requiem]], he just retires as an [[BrickJoke orange farmer]] at the end of the series, seemingly without any repercussion. He is however absent at Ohgi and Viletta's wedding, for some reason.
** He also never really faces much consequences for his previous role as a merciless enforcer of [[ANaziByAnyOtherName (and fervent believer in)]] the Empire's brutal, racist oppression of the Elevens, and for the many genocidal massacres he directly aided.
* LargeHam: Even in a WorldOfHam, Jeremiah is by far the most hammy. In the first season's finale, his mecha literally chews the scenery's ground as he screams '''"ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!!!!!"''' In R2, he has mellowed down a bit, but he's still quite hammy, especially [[spoiler:in the Second Battle of Tokyo when he fires off his [[MemeticMutation STORM OF LOYALTY]]]].
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: His 2nd season return. "Look out for me, Jeremiah Gottwald, with all you've got!" Sounds like he's addressing the viewers.
* MadeOfIron: The very fact that he survived two incidents that would kill any other man (first he's roasted with Kallen's FacePalmOfDoom and then [[spoiler:crushed by water pressure courtesy of C.C]]), [[spoiler:and closer to literally after parts of his body are rebuilt using sakuradite]].
* ManlyTears: [[spoiler:He cries in joy (TearsOfBlood included, in a sense) when he goes under his HeelFaceTurn and joins Lelouch. And before this, he cries in the {{Picture Drama}}s when explaining his backstory to his subordinate Villetta Nu.]]
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: Empress Marianne's #1 fanboy. [[spoiler:Later, her son's #1 supporter.]]
* NoodleIncident: For whatever reason, he's not seen in the photograph of [[spoiler:Villetta and Ohgi's wedding]] at the end of R2, yet [[spoiler:Anya -- who he is implied to have adopted -- is]]. One could assume that it had something to do with his and Villetta's relationship, given everything that's happened. Awkwardness?
%%* NotSoDifferentRemark: Near the end of R2, Jeremiah and Sayoko have a conversation about how they both carry UndyingLoyalty [[spoiler:to Lelouch]] because of chivalry.
* NowWhat: Implied at the end of R2. [[spoiler:With Lelouch dead and the Britannian Empire being reformed, Jeremiah has nothing left for his UndyingLoyalty other than to live out the rest of his life in peace. Though he seems happy of his life as an orange farmer with Anya, his lack of presence at Villetta's wedding and him accompanying Anya to Ashford in Turn 25.01 solely for her sake & to tribute to Lelouch implies that he feels that he doesn't belong in the lives of the other characters.]]
* ParentalSubstitute: [[spoiler:He is implied to become Anya's caretaker or adoptive father in the end.]]
* PetTheDog:
** Despite being the leader of the [[FantasticRacism Purebloods]], he does seem to have some respect for [[AmbiguouslyBrown Villetta]]. In Stage 4.33, he promises to Villetta that even with her different lineage, he'll submit a proposal to the Purebloods to have her be a Baroness so she and her descendants can be of true nobility, which wouldn't be possible with the honorary title of knighthood.
** In the Orange Peel audio drama, after some persuasion by Villetta, Lloyd, and Cecile, he decides to thank Suzaku for saving his life. When it ends up getting postponed by Guilford arresting him for the Orange Incident, he screams that he's innocent and he has to do something as he gets taken away. Near the end of R2, he gets to deliver his gratitude to Suzaku and notes that they have a strange relationship.
** In post-R2 PictureDrama Turn 25.01, though it's never explicitly stated, it's quite obvious that he's lonely. At the end, however, he asks Anya if she wants to stay at Ashford, even though this would mean that he would be alone. Not only did he visit Ashford Academy to carry out Lelouch's last order, but also give Anya a chance at having a normal life. Anya seems to catch on, as she turns it down and chooses to stay with him, citing that she has memories of Ashford to stay with.
* PhlebotinumRebel: [[spoiler:The point in his second cyborg upgrade was for him to take over Rolo's job of assassinating Lelouch. Instead, he ''joined'' him.]]
* RedemptionPromotion: [[spoiler:The series for him was one string of losses until he joined Lelouch's side. Then he gets shit done.]]
* RetiredBadass: [[spoiler:After showing some ''insane'' awesomeness in the big final battle, the time skip at the end of the episode shows him having left the military to run an orange plantation, with Anya either as help or as family.]]
* SadisticChoice: Has one forced upon him by Guilford in Stage 05 as a result of the Orange incident. As punishment for aiding and abetting Suzaku's escape, he is demoted three ranks and can choose to either start over as a pilot or become an orange farmer. [[spoiler:And in the case of this becoming a case of ExactWords and IronicEcho, rather than TakeAThirdOption Jeremiah actually accomplishes both.]]
* SanitySlippage: [[spoiler:He's kept as an experimental subject during the latter half of the first season.]] This causes his emotional stability to drastically plummet during the R1 finale. Ironically, this causes his [[LargeHam ham to grow even larger]]. '''ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!!!'''
* ShipTease: A few circles in the fanbase like to believe that Jeremiah's talk with an injured Sayoko at her bedside about how they are both loyal [[spoiler:to Lelouch]] out of chivalry is this.
* SourOutsideSadInside: He acts like a massive {{Jerkass}} in the first four episodes, but inside, he's devastated for [[spoiler:being unable to protect Marianne and her children]].
* StarterVillain: His original role in the series was to simply be an obstacle in the first couple episodes, then die in humiliation.
* SycophanticServant: A rare subversion. [[spoiler:His loyalty to Lelouch is genuine and well-earned, so Jeremiah is treated with much greater respect by Lelouch after his HeelFaceTurn.]]
* SympatheticInspectorAntagonist: From the "Orange incident" onward [[spoiler:until R2 13]], his goal is to bring Zero to justice.
* TallDarkAndHandsome: Well ''dark-blue''.
* ThrowTheDogABone: After losing ''everything'', [[spoiler:including parts of his own body]] early in season one, things start looking up for him in season two.
* TookALevelInBadass: After [[spoiler:kicking total ass]] in the first season finale, he [[spoiler:comes back with even more badassness. He's an essentially bulletproof cyborg, is more than capable of dodging melee attacks with sidesteps and flips, has fighting skills to rival Sayoko, has a sword that comes out of his arm, and Geasses don't work on him]]. If that fails to impress, he also [[spoiler:manages to move his cyborg body despite the fact that he's standing right ''next'' to a Gefjun Disturber (EMP device that works against Sakuradite, a substance that is a part of his cyborg body) through sheer ''willpower'' alone]].
* TookALevelInKindness: By the end of the show, he's taken a few levels of humility. In the end, it's heavily implied he adopted Anya, and the two of them live simple lives tending an orange farm implied to be in Florida or somewhere near there -- far from the main settings of the show... and it's also heavily implied with his absence at Villetta's wedding and Turn 25.01 that he feels [[NowWhat lonely in life]].
* TroubledSympatheticBigot: [[spoiler:He wrongly believes the Japanese killed Lelouch and Nunnally. As such, he's extremely racist when first introduced. He drops the racism when he learns the truth, and even gets a ShipTease with Sayoko near the end.]]
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: In episodes three and four, Jeremiah forces General Bartley outta town in disgrace as penance for his lack of ability to protect Prince Clovis. With the highest-ranking Britannian commander now removed from the country, Jeremiah - using his authority as Margrave - assumes direct control over the military in Area 11 and installs his faction of Pureblooded Britannians as the primary officer corps. He plans to frame an Honorary Britannian (ala Suzaku) for the murder of Clovis, as an excuse to abolish the Honorary Britannian system (although in Jeremiah's defense, he really did believe Suzaku was the killer).
* UndyingLoyalty: Marianne couldn't have asked for a more loyal guard. Even after her death [[spoiler:and even after ''his'' death and rebirth]], he never stopped supporting her. [[spoiler:This carries over to Lelouch (and to an unseen extent, Nunnally). Possibly even moreso, as several entries in the Franchise/SuperRobotWars series have Jeremiah learn of Marianne's survival in Anya, but have him remain loyal to ''Lelouch'' rather than follow her and Charles' Ragnorak Connection.]]
* UnexplainedRecovery: [[spoiler:He's crushed under hundreds of feet of water in the Season 1 finale. He comes back in Season 2 with no explanation of how he survived this.]] Even before this, he's pretty good at surviving incidents that probably would have killed anyone in real life.
* UnstoppableRage: Particularly in season two; once he's pissed, you're ''fucked''.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: While people blame [[spoiler:Rolo]] for [[spoiler:killing Shirley and making Lelouch unstable enough to commit THE biggest mistake in his plans]], Jeremiah '''also''' has a share of responsability in that since [[spoiler:he once used his Geass Canceller ''without checking on his surroundings'', which accidentally caused him to undo Shirley's FakeMemories about Lelouch and Nunnally. Had he not done that, Shirley [[SayingTooMuch wouldn't have mentioned Nunnally in front of Rolo]], and Rolo [[HeKnowsTooMuch wouldn't have killed her]]...]]
** In the second CompilationMovie, however, [[spoiler:he seems to actually check said surroundings, and is able to warn Shirley about staying away from danger, which results in the above events being avoided and essentially saving her life.]]
* VillainousValor: In season 1. He was a fearless pilot and reached LeeroyJenkins levels of recklessness in the hope of taking out Zero. Particular moments include holding on in a four-on-one battle with the Purist Faction, taking out two enemy pilots at the Battle of Narita, and especially the Season 1 finale where he ''mows down'' an entire line of Black Knights and nearly takes down Lelouch's Gawain.
* WeCanRebuildHim: [[spoiler:''Twice''.]]
* WouldHurtAChild:
** While hunting down Lelouch, he has no problem intruding on Ashford campus, and though he doesn't harm any students (though he does almost kill [[ChildSoldier Rolo]]), he doesn't care if anyone sees him killing security there.
** After defeating Anya, he holds her at sword-point. In fairness, she's a ChildSoldier that is already treated like an adult, and he does stand down when he realizes that [[spoiler:she had been Geassed]].

-->''"I will not die like Jeremiah, stripped of power and honor., I will rise higher than ever!"''

One of Jeremiah Gottwald's most devoted subordinates, Villetta Nu is a twenty-six-year-old Knightmare Frame pilot. Like Jeremiah, she belongs to a segregationist group called the Pure Bloods, Britannians who believe that Elevens and other Numbers (i.e., people of Japanese or other non-Britannian descent) should be forbidden from serving in the Britannian military or otherwise contaminating Britannian society. Although Villetta does not hail from the aristocracy, she hopes to sufficiently distinguish herself in the service of her country as to earn her family hereditary knighthood.

After Zero uses his mind control geass to ruin Jeremiah's career and very nearly Villetta's as well, she does some quick thinking and realizes that he must have connections at Ashford Academy. She hopes that by capturing Zero, she can bring herself glory and simultaneously redeem Jeremiah. But fate, or luck, has some surprises for her.
----
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Villetta's exact origins are never revealed, though her skin is darker than most of the characters, especially the Britannians. Her last name suggests a Thai or Spanish history. Many fans think she's of Amerindian descent. Stage 4.33 confirms that Villetta isn't of Britannian descent.
* AmnesiacDissonance: After she gets shot by Shirley, she barely survives and ends up losing memories in the process. Ohgi takes her in, conceals her past from her, and keeps her hidden from his comrades and she takes the identity of "Chigusa". Slowly, she grows infatuated with him... [[spoiler:until her memories resurface and she shoots him with his own gun before rejoining her old allies. In spite of this, Ohgi risks his life to confess his love to her, and in the end, Villetta is able to reconcile her identities and marry him.]]
* TheBaroness: The sexpot variety, and perhaps a literal one. Devoted to the military regime of Britannia and seeks ever more power for herself. [[spoiler:In a way she succeeds by marrying Japan's Prime Minister Oghi, although she does have genuine feelings for him.]]
* BecomingTheMask: Sort of. While she only masqueraded as [[YourTerroristsAreOurFreedomFighters Ohgi's]] lover shortly after getting her memories back, their [[LivingWithTheVillain past relationship]] was used by Lelouch to {{blackmail}} her into siding with the Black Knights in R2. While she's initially disgusted by her relationship with Ohgi at first, her feelings become genuine later.
* ChekhovsGunman: Introduced as the first major character Lelouch geassed. The consequences of this encounter are far reaching, as is her relevance to the plot.
* DarkActionGirl: At first, but it quickly took the back burner to her personal ambitions for nobility, followed by her amnesiac phase, then her relationship with Ohgi.
* EasilyForgiven: ''Too'' easily considering she causes two tragedies, and the series never actually bothers to show her as having grown past her jingoistic roots with the exception of being in a relationship with Ohgi. Even then, it comes off more as her making Ohgi a worse person than Ohgi making her a better one.
* EasyAmnesia: Getting shot by Shirley results in her [[IdentityAmnesia losing her memories regarding her past]] then being attacked by a group of angry Japanese rioters conveniently causes them to return.
* ElephantInTheLivingRoom: In R2 19, none of Ohgi's comrades ask what he has been doing all this time with a Britannian, who she is, or for that matter, question her credibility when she testifies against Lelouch.
* FemmeFatale: A skilled Knightmare pilot and as deadly as she is sexy.
* GetOutOfJailFreeCard: [[spoiler:Cornelia lets Villetta join the Black Knights no questions asked because there are more important things to do than worry about a single soldier, and because there are more important things than lineage. The Black Knights however are alarmingly lenient, given that one would expect her and Ohgi to be questioned heavily.]] As a trope, it describes how in spite of her past as a Purist Faction soldier of the Britannian Army and later a baroness, her relationship with Ohgi [[spoiler:means a ticket to the proverbial winning team, the Black Knights, and her eventual HappyEnding, in spite of no actual {{redemption|Quest}} or atonement]].
* GlorySeeker: Her motivation is to distinguish herself for higher titles and status.
* GoodCostumeSwitch: During her amnesia phase. She let her hair down and wore dresses and hats.
* HappilyMarried: [[spoiler:To Ohgi, by the end.]]
* HotTeacher: Poses as a P.E. instructor during her time as a spy at Ashford Academy, complete with {{stripperiffic}} outfits.
* ImmigrantPatriotism: She's AmbiguouslyBrown, so she's certainly not from the Britannian homeland (which is centered in real-world America). It's possible she's from one of the long-ago conquered South American countries, so her ethnicity wouldn't be a serious topic of discussion in the modern age.
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:See GetOutOfJailFreeCard, HappilyMarried, PlayingTheVictimCard and SpannerInTheWorks. Not only that, there's the fact that everything she did under Britannia was for the purpose of attaining nobility, and that aside from [[PetTheDog her affection for Ohgi]], she never truly grew as a person.]]
* KeepingTheEnemyClose: Heads the OSI detail screening Lelouch early on in R2. That is, until he finds out about her relationship with Ohgi and blackmails her out of it.
* LivingWithTheVillain:
** Villetta gets to be a popular coach and P.E. teacher in Ashford Academy and ''interacts'' with Lelouch and Shirley, admittedly she's [[spoiler:watching Lelouch for any hints that he has recovered his memory]].
** Even more strikingly, Kaname Ohgi actually ''does'' live with her for quite some time while she's lost ''her'' memory after being shot by Shirley (or Deithard in the CompilationMovie).
* ManipulativeBitch / SmugSnake: Attempts to use a distraught Shirley to expose and arrest Zero, even when it turns out Zero is Shirley's big crush, Lelouch. And [[AlternativeCharacterInterpretation quite possibly]] when she comes in with Ohgi and the Geass "evidence" against Lelouch, when she likely knew more than she was letting on at the time.
* MeaningfulName:
** Family name: Nu. Knew; new. (Also "nu," a Yiddish expression -- [[http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=F5&defl=en&q=define:nu&ei=0m0nS7izKJTKNamMgIoM&sa=X&oi=glossary_definition&ct=title&ved=0CAcQkAE and several other possible (if unlikely) meanings.]])
** A few of the things Villetta Nu ''knew'' before almost anyone else -- and then through EasyAmnesia, was forced to forget: that Zero probably had psychic powers, that Jeremiah Gottwald was innocent, that Zero likely was working with at least one student at Ashford Academy, that Zero was likely a student at Ashford, and that Lelouch was Zero.
** [[spoiler:In addition, Villetta Nu has been remade a ''new'' several times (see also HeelFaceRevolvingDoor), thanks in part to her EasyAmnesia and IdentityAmnesia.]]
** Given name: Villetta -- presumably from villette, French for village, also calls to mind both the words "violet" and "villain." This seems a fitting reflection of the two aspects of her personality.
* MsFanservice: Moreso than the other examples in the series, but in her case she seems to do it deliberately. Villetta's often leg-baring and cleavage-exposing outfits certainly give way to many such scenes. She also poses scantily in a SchoolSwimsuit with Shirley at one point.
* NavelDeepNeckline: Almost all of her outfits give this, which makes sense, given her status as MsFanservice.
* PetTheDog:
** In an audio drama, she's part of the group encouraging Jeremiah to thank Suzaku for saving his life in Stage 5.
** Villeta might hate [[spoiler:Shirley for shooting her back in the first season, but she was also among those seen mourning her during her funeral, even if it's just for show as part of her cover.]]
* PlayingTheVictimCard: [[spoiler:Claims during the final episode that she just wanted somewhere to belong, even though her past was part of the Britannian [[FantasticRacism Purist Faction]]]]. Potentially also [[spoiler:when she, alongside Ohgi, testifies against Lelouch on account of Geass leading up to the Black Knights' betrayal, even though she had earlier been keeping surveillance over Lelouch on behalf of Britannia as part of an attempt to keep him from his rebellion alongside the Black Knights, specifically because she couldn't be affected by Geass anymore and may have known more than what she was letting on]].
* PlotArmor: Lelouch had ''at least 3'' means to kill her way back in the second episode and enough reason to do so as it was at that point alone. Also when [[spoiler:she is saved by Ohgi and nursed to health after Shirley shoots her and flees in distress after being goaded into turning Lelouch in to her, and one season later, when she dives in to shield Ohgi from hitting the bottom of the waterfall alone, leading to the improbable survival of both]].
* PregnantBadass: [[spoiler:Manages to avoid capture when Lelouch takes over the world with Cornelia's rebellious group while pregnant with hers and Ohgi's kid. To be fair, however, she was only in the first couple months (thought with a mild baby bump in the GrandFinale), and had a decent head-start.]]
* RetiredMonster: She's spent her life manipulating and blackmailing her way to attain nobility, and that's before taking into account [[spoiler:that she was part of the Britannian [[FantasticRacism Purist Faction]]. By the end of the series, she's HappilyMarried with Ohgi and has never made any attempt at actual {{redemption|Quest}} or atonement]].
* RuleOfSexy: Even by this show's standards, Viletta's usually showing off her body in some manner, either forgetting she's just naked in the first season, or all the revealing outfits she wears in the second season like a school swimsuit.
* SecretIdentityVocalShift: An unconscious version. Her amnesiac self has a noticeably higher-pitched speaking tone than her normal voice, contrasting her usual low voice.
* SexySecretary: To Jeremiah in the beginning of the series.
* SocialClimber: Desires to attain true nobility not satisified with being a mere Knight of Honor so she joins Margrave Jeremiah's faction in hopes of one day attaining it.[[note]]One of the {{Picture Drama}}s indicates she’s doing this because she wants to secure a better future for her brothers, [[CanonDiscontinuity but this seems to have been ignored by even the show writers]], who instead have her motives as being purely selfish.[[/note]]
* SpannerInTheWorks: Quite possibly the biggest one barring Suzaku, and we can be sure she's the worst since Suzaku at least paid--willingly no less--for ''his'' crimes. Is responsible (directly or otherwise) for the following: finding out Zero's identity as Lelouch, Shirley's eventual memory wipe in the first season, shooting Ohgi during the Black Rebellion which leads the regiment of the Black Knights watching over Ashford into chaos which also is the arguable cause of V.V. kidnapping Nunnally, leading a Britannian spy unit in watching over Lelouch in the subsequent year to see that he hasn't recovered his memories, and later convincing Ohgi and the Black Knights to betray Lelouch via her (arguably deceptively cursory) testimonial on Geass, which causes Rolo's HeroicSacrifice [[note]]granted, Rolo wouldn't have been there if not for Villetta's earlier actions, but then without those, the mutiny either wouldn't have happened or be a lot easier for Lelouch to not have to worry about[[/note]] and also ultimately leads to the Zero Requiem. All the while she ends up joining the Black Knights and is [[spoiler:HappilyMarried with Ohgi]]. All of this makes her something even worse: a [[HeelFaceRevolvingDoor two]]-[[KarmaHoudini faced]] SpannerInTheWorks, who screws Lelouch over on both sides.
* StarCrossedLovers: Ohgi and her. They fall in love when he finds her suffering from amnesia, to then become enemies when she regains her memories. [[spoiler:Subverted since in the end, both survived and got HappilyMarried]].
* StatuesqueStunner: [[HeadturningBeauty Very hot]]. Very tall.
%%* StockholmSyndrome: Could explain how hard and how permanently she fell for Ohgi.
%%* TheStoolPigeon: Snitches on Lelouch more than once.
* TaremeEyes: In her "Chigusa" persona.
* UndressingTheUnconscious: When she first wakes up after being shot and losing her memory, she finds herself naked in Ohgi's bed, since he took off her clothes to patch up her wounds. When she notices she has a NakedFreakOut and covers herself with the ModestyBedsheet that slipped when she sat up.
* UngratefulBitch: Can be considered one, in that even though it was because of Lelouch sneaking under her watch while she was heading surveillance that Ohgi was alive, she [[spoiler:leads Ohgi to betray Lelouch based on Geass, which she might have been aware wasn't as all-powerful as was suggested there given her earlier post]].
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: In a more contrarian sense. By the time she snitches, she's no longer with the opposing team; she just seems to have it in for Lelouch.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The same PictureDrama that talks about Jeremiah's devotion to Marianne mentions that her main motivation is taking care of her younger brothers; they're never mentioned after this, and she switches over to purely selfish motives.

Another member of the Purists, and by far the most blatantly racist.
----
* FantasticRacism: Even compared to Villetta and Jeremiah, he stands out.
* FlatCharacter: All we really know about him is that he is a Purist and a racist.
* KarmicDeath: For all his racist mindset, he ends up getting killed off by Kallen, an Eleven (granted half-Britannian, but still).
* MauveShirt: Appears in a few episodes, gets some minor characterization, and is then unceremoniously killed off by Kallen.
* ThisCannotBe: His reaction to Kallen destroying his Knightmare.

-->''"My justice is with my princess!"''

Personal knight of Second Princess Cornelia li Britannia with unwavering devotion to his princess and piloting skill matching Kyoshiro Tohdoh.
----
* AceCustom: A {{downplayed|Trope}} example. None of Guilford's Knightmares are exactly unique to him, but he still tends to use higher-performing variations of existing Knightmares. His original Knightmare was a Gloucester, outfitted with a cape to denote his being Cornelia's knight, and later given Maser Vibration Swords. His second Knightmare was the first shown Vincent Commander Model, an upgraded version of the Vincent that Rolo had used, Guilford having one being notable since, before Lelouch took the throne, the only other ones were used by Luciano Bradley's Valkyrie Squadron, and the Royal Guard led by Monica Krushevsky. His last Knightmare would be the Quinn Roses Type-B, a modified version of the Quinn Roses Type-Z that Cornelia would pilot [[spoiler:as a member of the Black Knights]].
* AntiVillain: [[SlidingScaleOfAntiVillains The Noble variant]]. He doesn't have a positive opinion on Zero's supporters, but he accepts Suzaku and is one of the few Britannian officers above any personal ambitions. All he truly cares about is Cornelia, and he would gladly offer up his life if she asked him to.
* BigBrotherMentor: He ''tries'' to be this for Suzaku during the events of R2, attempting to establish a point of commonality in how they were both Knights of Honor to the li Britannia sisters, and saying Suzaku can come to him should he ever need to. Unfortunately for him, Suzaku is too wrapped up in his own issues to ever really rely on him.
-->'''Guilford:''' ''Your rank may have changed, but you did start out as Princess Euphemia's Knight. As the Knight of Princess Cornelia, I'd like you to see me as a source of advice that you'll ask for when needed.''
* BlindPeopleWearSunglasses: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. When he reunites with Cornelia on Horai Island, he's shown wearing sunglasses and requires using a crutch to get around. While this would suggest that he was rendered blind as a side effect of the FLEIJA, he later shows no issue moving around without the crutch and ''can'' see, suggesting the glasses are a result of the FLEIJA ''damaging'' his vision. He is subsequently shown wearing them at all times, including when with Cornelia's resistance group intending to free those slated for execution before the arrival of [[spoiler:Zero/Suzaku]], and while attending [[spoiler:Viletta and Ohgi's wedding]]. Anime/CodeGeassLelouchOfTheResurrection follows up on this by having Guilford switch to glasses with tinted lenses that he even wears at night, suggesting that, even a year later, his eyes are still damaged as a result of the FLEIJA, and that he needs the glasses to be tinted to protect his eyes from certain types of light.
* BodyguardCrush: A likely one on Princess Cornelia. As one of her Knights of Honor, he is extremely devoted to her and usually remains at her side. After she disappears during the one year {{timeskip}} leading into R2, Guilford remains faithful to her and declares all his actions as being in her name, even taking the position of interim Viceroy after the death of Calares by swearing on her name. [[spoiler:Lelouch takes advantage of this for the second Black Rebellion. When Lelouch uses his Geass on him, the order itself only makes Guilford see Lelouch as Cornelia, preying on Guilford's loyalty to Cornelia to make him into an obedient pawn. In doing so, Guilford demonstrates he's willing to even betray Britannia and give up his life should Cornelia order it, his love for her superceding any and all loyalty to Britannia. When he finally sees her at Horai Island, he can only break down in tears, happy she's still alive.]]
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:Sort of: Lelouch uses his Geass to make Guliford believe that he is Cornelia, which makes him fight against Britannia.]]
* CoDragons: To Cornelia, with Darlton.
* DragonTheirFeet: [[spoiler:Takes over for both of them when Darlton is killed and Cornelia goes AWOL.]]
* EarnYourHappyEnding: [[spoiler:Despite his alignment/personal allegiance, he deserved that something good finally happened to him.]]
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Believing that Lelouch is Cornelia, he pushes him out of FLEIJA range at the climax of the Second Assault on Tokyo.]]
* HonorBeforeReason: Used against him by Zero. He even states that he would continue to use honorable means even against evil that cannot be defeated by them.
* InformedFlaw: A mistranslation of one of Cornelia's lines during episode 10/the Battle of Narita in the official English dub implies that he has a history of being a [[TheCasanova womanizer]]. Particularly stands out due to absolutely nothing in the show supporting this, along with him never showing any interest in any woman aside from [[BodyguardCrush Cornelia herself]].
* KarmaHoudini: Possibly. He was a willing accessory to the tyranny and corruption of Britannia and many of the associated conflicts within the show, thus serving as an obstacle to freedom, even if it was all strictly in the service of the crown. Nonetheless, he survives and gets to enjoy that very same freedom at the end of the show with the princess he serves, Cornelia, even if things were rough for him near the end.
* KnightTemplar: He is not kind to those he considers terrorists, and judging from a line of his in the second SAZ (where he suggested gunning down the Japanese civilians in the case of a rebellion), he can also be downright ruthless.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: To the core. [[spoiler:When forced under the influence of Lelouch's Geass to believe that Lelouch is Cornelia, he attacks Britannians to protect him.]]
* TautologicalTemplar: Like Suzaku, he is more concerned with honor than right and wrong. As he swore his loyalty towards Cornelia, for him, right and wrong is based solely on what he believes Cornelia wants.
* UnwittingPawn: His honorable traits were twice used against him by Zero.
* YouShallNotPass: During the first Black Rebellion.

A general in the Britannian Army and one of Cornelia's most loyal followers.
----
* AlasPoorVillain: [[spoiler:He certainly didn't deserve to die, especially not in the way that he did: his very last thoughts are about his guilt in attacking Cornelia, and wondering why he did that in the first place (a Geass cast on him by Lelouch), before being promptly murdered.]]
* AntiVillain: One of the nicer Britannians, especially since he adopts war orphans who might have been from countries he has helped conquer. He also considered adopting Suzaku to help smooth out his life as an Honorary Britannian.
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: Challenges Suzaku to a duel to prove his superiority in ''Nightmare of Nunnally'', which leads to Suzaku evading all his attacks, as he considers him not worth fighting.
* CassandraTruth: He was the first to suspect that Zero may be working from a personal grudge against the royal family, but Cornelia dismissed it on the grounds that it's only natural to target the enemy commander. [[spoiler:As she lays defeated at Zero's mercy and learns who was behind the mask, she mentions that Darlton was right.]]
* ChivalrousPervert: Quite excited by the prospect of seeing Cornelia in a swimsuit, but doesn't try to peek in on her while she's changing into it.
* CoDragons: To Cornelia, with Guilford.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He's not exactly evil, per se; just on the bad guy's side. He's a very good man (one of the few truly non-racist characters) who has been shown to defend and uphold Suzaku's dignity and actions, treats Princess Euphemia's ideas with respect, and generally treats his subordinates and commanders alike with respect and affability.
* AFatherToHisMen: Quite literally, since he's adopted five younger soldiers so far (the Glaston Knights). At one point Guilford suggests he do the same with Suzaku to help smooth out the rough spots in his knighting.
* GoodScarsEvilScars: Has a diagonal scar on his face.
* ICanStillFight: Despite having been shot by [[spoiler:Euphemia, when he tried to stop the SAZ massacre]], he continues to the battle for Tokyo. [[spoiler:It helps that he's been Geassed]].
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:His last words, after being geass into attacking Cornelia from behind so Lelouch can capture her.]]
* PetTheDog:
** Is the adoptive father of five orphaned boys.
** Also, during [[spoiler:Suzaku's knighting ceremony]] he (and Lloyd) are the ones to start the SlowClap.
* PragmaticVillainy: Though as mentioned he's less a villain than just on the antagonist side, but regardless Dalton is one of the few high ranking Britannian officers that thinks their policy of discrimination towards non Britannian's is a waste of valuable talent and resources they should be putting for use to the Empire. After witnessing Suzaku's daring rescue of Cornelia (who never would have been given the chance if Euphemia didn't overrule the general in charge of deploying reinforncements) he immediately starts pushing for the Lancelot to be integrated into the regular forces as he finds ignoring such a useful pilot and unit due to racism is a huge waste of resources. When Suzaku saves Cornelia again, the rest of the military is forced to conceed that he's right.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: He's one of the first Britannians to show tolerance and pragmatism in regards to the conquered numbers. [[spoiler:He's also aghast by Euphemia's order to massacre the Japanese and tries to shut it down before it begins, but is shot before he can.]]
* SergeantRock: He's higher-ranked than a Sergeant, but otherwise fits the role. Initially he mistrusts Suzaku, but once he proves himself during the Tokyo bay operation Darlton is much nicer.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Like Euphemia, he fully accepts the Japanese (or "Elevens") as equals. [[spoiler:Also, like Euphemia, he meets a tragic end.]]
* TrouserSpace: Hides a gun in his swim trunks while escorting Cornelia to the opening of Clovis Land. It ends up looking... awkward, to say the least. Arguably averted, as Guilford implies that he is hiding a pistol in his speedo, but given the racy setting of the episode, and the fact that he is fantasizing about Cornelia before the comment, it's possible that he just has a huge erection, and Guilford was just mistaken.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: [[spoiler:Killed by Lelouch after disabling Cornelia's Knightmare frame. Probably to keep him from interfering with him, given that the geass command to disable Cornelia was completed]].

Schneizel's caretaker and right-hand man -- public ''[[HoYay and]]'' private.
----
* ADayInTheLimelight:
** Gets more attention in the ''Lancelot & Guren'' spin-off, which puts more focus on what exactly he was doing during the series and what his role is for Schneizel.
** ''Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection'' fleshes him out, revealing he's old friends with the Knight of Nine, Nonette, and his position serving under Schneizel is more accurately as his MoralityChain.
* BlueBlood: An Earl in the Britannian Empire.
* TheDragon: To Schneizel, although we don't see a lot of the work that Kanon does, he is referred to as Schneizel's right hand man.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He becomes uncomfortable when he sees how far Schneizel is going with Damocles, when the latter is willing to sacrifice his fellow kin.
* ManipulativeBastard: Not up to Schneizel's standards, but damned if he doesn't get results - he aids in sabotaging Lelouch's and Suzaku's meeting in Turn 17, convinces Suzaku to go into battle with FLEIJA to stop Zero, and also aids in the deceptive testimony against Lelouch that helps lead to the Black Knights' betrayal.
* MoralityChain: ''Oz the Reflection'' explains that ''this'' is his role as Schneizel's right-hand. He's meant to function as Schneizel's "humanity" and regularly stops Schneizel from going too far over the line. While he is still willing to allow some horrid actions like the use of the FLEIJA, he has much more moral integrity compared to Schneizel, even delivering Cornelia to Nonette so she can be taken to a hospital on Horai Island after Schneizel had mercilessly gunned her down.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Schneizel.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: We don't see what happens to him after [[spoiler:Lelouch places a geass on Schneizel.]] But since [[spoiler:we see Schneizel on the caravan heading towards the mass "execution" of all of Schneizel's forces, presumably he is a prisoner like everyone else.]]

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bartley_asprius.jpg]]

Serving under Prince Clovis at the start of the series, Bartley is fiercely loyal to the royal family, and is trusted enough to be involved in their various top-secret projects involving Geass and C.C.
----
* AlasPoorVillain: His death is unambiguously tragic, as he's mercilessly gunned down after all the trouble he's gone through, and realizes in his last moments that all he's done was for naught, since Charles already knew of C.C.'s existence. Even Jeremiah, who Bartley had turned into a cyborg, ends up sympathizing with him in the end.
* BerserkButton: He's very grateful to Schneizel for sparing him from a court-martial, to the point that he snaps at anyone he views as disrespecting him.
* ButtMonkey: Things ''very'' rarely go well for him.
* FailureKnight: He's mortified at his failure to protect Clovis (he was Geassed, so he couldn't really help it), and spends the rest of the show trying to make up for it.
* LetNoCrisisGoToWaste: Takes advantage of Jeremiah's severe injuries after the Battle of Narita to make him into a cyborg. Jeremiah does ''not'' take it well.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: He's horrified when he realizes what's going on at the Geass Order, and intends to run for it, but is tragically killed before he can.
* TheScapegoat: Jeremiah suspects him of treachery, since he left Clovis unguarded (which led to his assassination) and then claimed he couldn't remember doing so. As a result, he's stripped of his command and taken back to the homeland for trial. Schneizel apparently pardons him and brings him back to serve under him, for which Bartley is very grateful.
* TokenGoodTeammate: He seems a decent, honorable man who's just stuck serving the wrong people. After his death, Jeremiah seems to take the opinion that he would probably have changed sides like him had he known the truth.
* UndyingLoyalty: To the royal family in general, but Clovis in particular. His last words are him calling out to Clovis in regret for failing him. Jeremiah respects him after his death because of his loyalty, which is clearly the trait he himself most values.

->''"You insubordinate little... That's an order! Didn't you swear your loyalty and life to Britannia?"''

A ruthless Britannian general, he is introduced as Suzaku Kururugi's commanding officer. He is placed in charge with recapturing C.C., and ends up in a confrontation with Lelouch which inadvertently kickstarts the entire plot.
----
* AssholeVictim: Lelouch's first victim couldn't have been more deserving.
* DeathByIrony: His sick devotion to Britannia pretty much led to him and his soldiers killing themselves under the orders of (former) royalty.
-->"Happily, your highness!"
* DisproportionateRetribution: He guns Suzaku down for questioning his orders to execute Lelouch.
* GeneralRipper: Par for the course. See also: SociopathicSoldier.
* HateSink: He's an absolutely loathsome man who's main purpose is to tip Lelouch's hatred for the Britannian Empire past the tipping point.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: Likely his real reason for wanting to kill Lelouch.
* KangarooCourt: Unilaterally decides that Lelouch, a Britannian student, must be in league with the terrorists, and is deserving of execution. Then he decides to gun down Suzaku, his own subordinate, for having the gall to suggest that he ''might'' be jumping to conclusions.
* KickTheDog: The moment he callously tries to murder Suzaku for raising perfectly valid objections to his decision to have Lelouch killed shows that he's completely beyond reason. It makes it all the more satisfying when his cruelty inadvertently gives Lelouch an opening to turn the tables on him.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: His ruthless actions inadvertently lead to Lelouch acquiring Geass.
* NoNameGiven: He has a significant impact in his short screentime, but he's only in the first episode and never identified by name. Finally {{subverted|trope}} in ''Lost Stories'', where his name is revealed to be Kinoshita.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: In his short screentime, he manages to be one of the most racist Britannians in the show.
* TheQuisling: ''Lost Stories'' implies he's an Honorary Britannian, given that his name is Japanese in origin.
* RedShirt: Even though he gets the ball rolling, he doesn't even live long enough to be given a name, let alone any background.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: He's only in the first episode, but manages to get the entire plot going. His actions allow C.C. to form her contract with Lelouch, and his ruthless behavior cements Lelouch's opinion of Britannia.
* SmallNameBigEgo: He thinks he's some big-shot whose orders should be followed to the letter with even the slight show of disobedience deserving of execution just because he's a commander, yet it's clear that he's on the bottom-tier in terms of threat and rank. Lelouch is quick to put him in his place once he gets his Geass, and even the rest of the Britannian military defy him by saving Suzaku's life (not that he lives to see it).
* SociopathicSoldier: He certainly comes off as this.
* WouldHurtAChild: He's heard gunning down a crying infant off-screen during the Shinjuku massacre.

->''"This individual called Alice loves the individual called Nunnally"''

A character unique to ''Manga/CodeGeassNightmareOfNunnally'', in which she's Nunnally's best friend. She is also a member of the Britannian Special Honorary Foreign Legion, a group of pilots with Geass skills who came from the numbered areas. Her mission is both to observe Nunnally and to capture the mysterious Mark Nemo -- unaware that Nunnally is its pilot.
----
* BadassCape: She gets one with her leotard suit once she accepts Nemo's contract.
* BadassLongCoat: Used a visual cue for [[spoiler:Alice's transformation into Nunnally's knight.]] In the previous scene she wore her Irregular uniform in a cell and was an emotional wreck. In the next scene she's tall, proud, and wearing the long coat.
* BattleButler: Becomes Nunnally's. Whether piloting a Knightmare or in hand-to-hand combat, this girl can kick some serious ass.
%%* BecomingTheMask
* BerserkButton: She has ''zero'' tolerance for bullying, which is what cause her to meet and befriend Nunnally in the first place.
** Trying to harm Nunnally also becomes a good way to, at best, have skirt stolen, or at worse, get an ass kicking from Alice.
* BestFriend: To Nunnally. It started out as an act (from Alice's end at least) as part of her guise as a regular school girl and soon became [[BecomingTheMask genuine]] until the end of the manga where its strongly implied to have grown into something more...
* BewareTheNiceOnes: She's a very sweet and caring girl, but she's still a Britannian soldier and a member of an elite unit. No mistake, this girl has the both skill ''and'' the resolve it takes for her position. Also, if you should threaten or harm Nunnally...
* BodyguardCrush: Towards end she becomes fiercely devoted and protective of Nunnally once she realizes how she feels about her.
* BullyHunter: Heaven ''help'' you if you harass Nunnally.
* {{Conscription}}: Quite possibly; She lampshades that members of the Britannian Special Honorary Foreign Legion are numbers select from the Areas Britannia has conquered. Given that Mao ran away and that a special chip and drug are used to control them, its very likely that Alice and the rest are conscripts selected to be made into SuperSoldiers or at the very least disposable soilers as sometimes the case with Honorary Britannian recruits.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: She lost her little sister in a fire.
%%* DefectingForLove
* {{Determinator}}: ''Nothing'' and I mean ''NOTHING'' will stop Alice from protecting Nunnally or saving her when she's in danger.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Ripping the skirts off the bullies harassing Nunnally.
* FailureKnight: Wants to protect Nunnally like she was unable to protect her actual sister. She even describes herself as Nunnally's knight [[spoiler:and becomes her knight by the end.]]
%%* GirlishPigtails: Fits her personality.
* HeroicBSOD: She suffers a brief one when she's locked up by Rolo for trying to kill him and betraying the military due to Nunnally set be execute soon. She bounces back very quickly though when Nemo comes to her to make a contract as did with Nunnally.
* HumiliationConga: Performs this on [[AlphaBitch Ekaterina Sforza]] and her GirlPosse, where she rips their skirts off with SuperSpeed while calling them out for bullying Nunnally.
%%* ImmuneToBullets
* LeotardOfPower: Her second Knightmare frame outfit she gains after making a contract with Mark Nemo.
* LittleMissBadass: A skilled Knightmare pilot who's still in middle school.
* LivingWithTheVillain: Attends school with Nunnally while keeping the Ashfords under surveillance and targeting her alter-ego.
* MadeOfIron: [[spoiler:Because she, like all the Irregulars, has C.C.' cells in her body]].
* MsFanservice: She does get the most fanservice moments of the Britannian Special Honorary Foreign Legion's members. [[AllThereinTheManual The cover of one chapter even details her measurements.]]
* MysteriousPast: Nothing is known about her life before she lost her sister and was chosen to be a member of the Honorary Foreign Legion.
* NiceGirl: Despite being a soldier, Tomboy and Tsundere, Alice is a very sweet and caring girl, especially to Nunnally.
* NighInvulnerability: She's just about as indestructible as C.C.
* NormallyIWouldBeDeadNow: [[LampshadeHanging Notes]] that if she were a regular girl, she wouldn't have survived being shot and falling off the roof of the hotel.
* ParentalAbandonment: We know literally nothing about her parents.
%% * RedEyesTakeWarning
* ReluctantFanserviceGirl: Alice wasn't too happy when Milly roped her into wearing a cat-themed dress for Arthur's welcoming party at Ashford.
** She also wasn't fond of Milly's idea to through an "All Day Swimsuits Festival" due to the incredibly [[BarelyThereSwimWear skimpy kinds of bathing suits]] Milly was planing forcing the girls to wear, which included Alice and Nunnally. Luckily Alice catches a break on this one due to the Battle of Narita.
* SchoolSwimsuit: The outfit she gains from her contract with Mark Nemo is close enough.
* SecretKeeper: At one point she hacks into the Ashford Academy's main server and discovers that Nunnally is a former Imperial Princess but she deletes the information she copies and chooses not to tell her superiors since she's be betraying her friendship with Nunnally.
* SpannerInTheWorks: [[spoiler:Completely derails Charles and Marianne's AssimilationPlot when she tells Nunnally that she loves her, and if everyone is one in [[AssimilationPlot Ragnarok]] then she wouldn't love another being since there would be no others. Charles had initially dismissed her since she was seemingly a normal person, but she ended up being key to his undoing.]]
%% * SuperSoldier
%% * SuperSpeed: Her Geass power.
%% * {{Tomboy}}: BullyHunter, and {{Tsundere}}
%% * TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Tomboy to Nunnally's Girly Girl.
* TraitorShot: She gets one of sorts in her introduction chapter as she watches Nunnally leave her to go to class. This is the first hint that there's more to Alice than meets the eye.
* TrouserSpace: She sometimes keeps a small pistol holstered under her skirt.
* TrueCompanions: Her fellow squadmates in the Britannian Special Honorary Foreign Legion, who are like sisters to her.
%% * UndyingLoyalty: Towards Nunnally.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:Plays right into Anya/Marianne's plan to get Nunnally to Kamine island.]]
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: Anyone who messes with Nunnally ''never'' goes to bed happy that night, and if you genuinely harm or endanger her in any way then ''nothing'' will save you from Alice's wrath. Both Mao and Rolo learned this the hard way,[[KarmicDeath guess where they are now]].

The most powerful members of the Britannian army, answering to the Emperor alone.
----
* BadassCape: They all sport one from time to time.
* DwindlingParty: Suzaku, Anya and Gino are the only members that survive the events of the series. [[ExactWords Technically true]] as while Nonette survived as well, she left the group and joined the Glinda Knights before the series ended, while Suzaku's not exactly actively associated with Anya and Gino by series end.
* {{Expy}}: Of The Knights of The Round Table.
* FlatCharacter: They (except for Suzaku, to a degree Anya and [[Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection Nonette]], and to an even lesser degree Gino) have no character development or much of a personality past "_____ Enemy". Examples: Luciano Bradley is the "[[PsychoForHire Psycho Enemy]]", Bismarck is the "[[NobleDemon Noble Enemy]]", etc.
* InformedAbility: Downplayed. The Knights of the Round are stated to be the best pilots in Britannia, as demonstrated in their battles with the Black Knights. However, the remaining two appear for about a few seconds before dying instantly at the hands of Suzaku and his Lancelot Albion, followed by Gino, who survives, and Bismarck. While Nonette and Monica somewhat avert this thanks to ExpandedUniverse material, [[BitCharacter Dorothea simply doesn't]].
* LightIsNotGood: Wears white uniforms and pilots Knightmares bearing the names of the Knights of the Round Table. However, they are in service to the Britannian Empire, so if they are considered heroes, they're only that to Britannia. Everywhere else, they are feared.
* QuirkyMinibossSquad: Three of them (Suzaku, Gino, and Anya) serve as the primary enemies towards the Black Knights in R2.
* ThemeNaming: Their Knightmares are actually named after members of the Arthurian Round Table (Tristan, Percival, etc.)
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Other than Suzaku, only Gino and Anya got some time to develop, and are the only knights who remain before during the last episodes. 515* {{BFS}}: His Knightmare's sword, Excalibur, is so hilariously huge that its sheath has its own rocket booster. He later uses one on his person as well.
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: Even the blatantly superhuman Suzaku doesn't hold a candle to him in a hand-to-hand fight, to the point where his "Live" Geass kicks in and almost forces him to book it.

* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: Not himself, but [[spoiler:his Galahad is carved in half by the Lancelot Albion, and he only realizes he's been beaten before the Galahad explodes, killing him.]]
* InfinityPlusOneSword: The Excalibur that his Knightmare wields is the most powerful close combat weapon in the series, slicing heavily armored Knightmare like the Mordred and Shen Hu like butter.
* LargeAndInCharge: He's 213cm (just over 7 feet) tall and his Knightmare is about twice as heavy and tall as any other, barring the Siegfried.
* ManlyFacialHair: The strongest knight in the empire and the only one of the Knights of the Round with facial hair, a goatee.
* MartialPacifist: Believes that war should only be a last resort, and that war without principles is little more than senseless violence. This extents beyond just war, as shown when he breaks up an argument between Luciano, Gino and Suzaku that was about to go sour.
* MeaningfulName: He's named after the German strategist who was such a genius at politics and diplomacy that he was often called prescient. [[spoiler:It stands to reason that his Geass allows him to see the future.]]
* OhCrap: [[spoiler:He sports a sudden look of shock and surprise seconds before his death, when Suzaku slices the Galahad in two.]]
* PowerLimiter: His left eye's eyelids are sewn shut [[spoiler:to cover his own Geass.]]
* PurpleIsPowerful: His Knightmare, the Galahad, has light purple colors. Likewise, so does his sword Excalibur, fitting for the strongest Knight of the Round.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: To Suzaku, calling him out on his MotiveDecay and ChronicBackstabbingDisorder both when Suzaku went to interfere with the Ragnarok Connection [[spoiler: and when he outright pulls a coup d'etat with Lelouch.]]

* VillainHasAPoint: He's the only person with absolutely zero respect for Suzaku's ability to switch sides on a dime to whatever opinion or side is most convenient to them, and the only one besides Lelouch to actively point it out to Suzaku's face.

The Knight of Three, and one of the youngest Knights of the Round besides Suzaku and Anya.
----
* AcePilot: Gino shows shades of being a bushwhacker, as while being a frontline fighter (a steamroller) he is also a sneaky CombatPragmatist who prefers to ambush and/or backstab his opponents. [[TransformingMecha His Tristan also has its fighter alt mode]] which allows him to easily escaped and/or evade his enemies.
* AffablyEvil: Despite being a loyal soldier of an expansionist empire, Gino is one of the friendliest and most outgoing Britannians in the series. He has no real malice towards his enemies, and at several points stops fellow Britannians from committing war crimes.
* AmazonChaser: Is smitten with [[FieryRedhead Kallen]] in large part because she's the best all-around female fighter (i.e. both as a mecha pilot and martial artist) in the series.
* AngstWhatAngst: Gino ran away from home at 16 to join the military because he could not accept the deep prejudice that ran in his family. He is shown to be one of the most optimistic and idealistic characters, however.
* BackStab: Certainly isn't averse to this technique, which he uses to broadside and kill Ryoga Senba of the Holy Swords, and almost does the same to Xingke, who is [[TakingTheBullet shielding Tianzi with the Shen-Hu]], until Zero [[BigDamnHeroes saves them both with the Shinkiro]].
* BashBrothers: He and Suzaku function like this in battle for most of R2.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: One of the nicest, cheeriest guys in the series. And yet, he's an absolute monster on the battlefield and is frighteningly ruthless, even for a Round.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Has a tendency to misunderstand a lot of things that are "normal", and yet a frightfully competent AcePilot.
* ChickMagnet: In R2 Episode 12, the "Cupid Day" episode, he has a whole horde of girls chasing him down to [[ItMakesSenseinContext steal his blue hat.]]
* CombatPragmatist: For all that he's AffablyEvil and an UpperClassTwit, once a fight starts, Gino is as ruthless as they come. Despite being an extremely skilled pilot, he shows a preference for ambush and attacking from behind, and isn't above tag-teaming.
* DatingCatwoman: It's implied that he would like to have this relationship with Kallen.
* TheDitz: Gino is incredibly naïve about how the world works and while he is the second youngest of the Knights of the Round he is in many ways the youngest at heart, [[spoiler:since Marianne is sharing a body with Anya]]. He is seen to be more upbeat, cheerful and optimistic of the future than any of his colleagues and comes across as the most childish.
** Subverted on the battle aboard the Damocles as he is clever enough to damage the shield generator on the Lancelot Albion enough to allow Kallen to fight Suzaku.
* EnemyMine: Kallen. He will attack Li Xingke because he dared defeat ''his'' rival pilot. Well, Gino would drop the "enemy" part at the first opportunity, but not "mine".
* GoKartingWithBowser: Joins Ashford Academy to see what commoner life is like.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:Gino defects to the Black Knights after Suzaku kills the remaining Knights of the Round.]]
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Suzaku, or so he thinks. [[spoiler:However, Suzaku ''does'' PetTheDog later on as the Knight of Zero. While Suzaku quickly kills off their leader, Bismarck, as well as Dorothea and Monica, he opts to simply disable Gino's Knightmare and let him live.]]
* HopelessSuitor: Becomes smitten with Kallen, who doesn’t reciprocate on account of him being an enemy and her being in love with Lelouch.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Especially with Anya as this picture shows [[http://comic.ck101.com/vols/8491164/6#comicimg]].
* {{Hypocrite}}: He calls Lelouch a coward for running away from their engagement onboard the Damocles, yet he's not above ganging up on an opponent with superior numbers, ambushing them or attacking them from behind rather than being honorable and fighting them one on one or attacking them from the front.
** Also he refused to accept Lelouch's Britannia yet Nunnally's is seen as being the same as Lelouch's when he first started ruling and was among the loyalists who fought against Lelouch when he ascended to the throne and instead supported the Nobility despite their prejudiced ways, especially to the elevens.
** He also ran away from home to escape his racist family... straight into the military which ''encourages'' racist practices as part of their conquering army status.
* {{Keet}}: Cheerful, hyperactive, overbearingly friendly and familiar, and has NoSenseOfPersonalSpace. Even if you're annoyed by him, it's ''very'' difficult to hate the guy.
* NiceGuy: Gino off the battlefield is one of the friendliest, most affable, nice guys in the show. He cheerfully hugs Suzaku and is very polite and considerate.
%% * NoSenseOfPersonalSpace
* NoSocialSkills: Downplayed. as he's not terribly socially awkward, but in Ashford he's a ditz due to not understanding "commoners".
* OneHeadTaller: He is a ''very'' tall man, standing a head taller than most of the cast. Best shown in this [[http://us.cdn001.fansshare.com/photos/codegeass/code-geass-graduation-characters-965974572.jpg picture]].
* PrettyBoy: Even in a series packed to the brim with beautiful people, Gino stands out (literally thanks to the bonus of being so tall), at least going by the reaction he gets from most girls.
%% * TheRival: To Kallen.
* TheRunaway: Gino ran away from home to escape his racist and elitist family and their treatment towards others they saw as inferior to them.
* ShelteredAristocrat: Gino belongs to one of the most powerful, influential, and wealthiest Noble families in Britannia with racist parents. He could easily lord himself over others like what many Noble families are seen doing but doesn't. He's quite naive about how the world works, and is fascinated by what goes on at Ashford.
* SkilledButNaive: He is one of the best pilots in the world, however his sheltered upbringing makes him seem very naïve and dimwitted at times.
* TransformingMecha: His Knightmare, the Tristan can transform into a plane-like form while flying.
* UpperClassTwit: Kallen [[LampshadeHanging hangs a lamp]] over this in the final PictureDrama. Luciano also addresses him as such.
* UptownGuy: With Kallen and the crush he had on his maid. His family wields unfathomable wealth and political power. It's implied by Luciano that his promotion to the Knights of the Round was influenced in some part by his family background.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: Gino and Suzaku were friends (somewhat), but after Suzaku sided with Lelouch, Gino sided with the old aristocracy and [[spoiler:later the Black Knights and]] is seen trying to kill him on the Damocles. When he is seemingly killed by Kallen, he quietly congratulates her on being able to do it.
* WhiteSheep: He comes from a racist prejudiced Noble family and yet Gino is one of the nicest and friendliest guys we've seen.

The Knight of Four. Not much else is known about her, since she is killed in her only scene.
----
* AmbiguouslyBrown: It isn't really clear what ethnicity she is, but she has dark brown skin coupled with green eyes.
* BitCharacter: We don't really get to know ''anything'' about her before she dies. Additionally, unlike Monica and Nonette, she's never given any AdaptationExpansion in the canon spin-offs aside from the specifics of her Knightmare, called the Palomides.
** According to WordOfGod in a livestream for the Lost Stories smartphone game, her single ThisCannotBe line was originally assigned to Nonette, whose voice actress wasn’t available. The scene was redrawn with Dorothea, portrayed by Inoue Kikuko who was on scene.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Somewhat. She is the one AmbiguouslyBrown member of the Knights of the Round, and is the first to be killed by Suzaku in the Lancelot Albion when he massacres them.
** Story-wise, however, she subverts this as she is the ''second'' of her group to die; Luciano Bradley is killed in the Second Battle of Tokyo by Kallen, some time before the Knights of the Round go after Lelouch.
* FourIsDeath: The Knight of Four dies about ''5 seconds'' after we first see her, courtesy of Suzaku and the Lancelot Albion.
* InformedAbility: She's supposed to be an AcePilot, but we never get to see how good she is before she's quickly killed off in her only on-screen fight. The only clues we have that she's a formidable pilot are shown in ''Lost Stories'', where we get to see the Palomides in action.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: The manga ''Oz the Reflection'' and the gacha game ''Lost Stories'' expand a little on Dorothea's Knightmare and how it fights: the Palomides is a bulky powerhouse that uses strong, club-like hands on its extra arms. Said arms are also mounted with multiple [[WaveMotionGun Hadron Cannons]] on each "finger". Sadly, we are only shown its mechanics in ''Lost Stories'', as Dorothea is slaughtered in ''Oz'' as fast as her anime counterpart was, and the anime never even ''shows'' the Palomides.
* OhCrap: As the above picture of her shows, she was ''not'' ready when the Lancelot Albion shot her, and [[ThisIsGonnaSuck she only has time to realize she's about to die]] before her Palomides blows up.
* ThisCannotBe: Her reaction when the Palomides is hit with a high-speed blast from the V.A.R.I.S. Rifle. Her English Dub reaction was, "He got me... already?!"
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Introduced and killed in the same scene. In the anime, we didn't even get to ''see'' what her Palomides looked like (though said KMF ''is'' shown in ''Oz the Reflection'' and ''Lost Stories'').
* WorfEffect: She's easily killed by Suzaku to show how powerful the Lancelot Albion is, and to show how much better a pilot Suzaku has become.

-->''"Memories are unreliable. There is no reason to believe in them"''

A [[ImprobableAge young]] noblewoman from Britannia, Anya Alstreim -- the Knight of Six -- is a fifteen-year-old girl with [[AcePilot prodigious piloting skills]], a staggering lack of common sense when off the battlefield, and quite a bad case of {{emotionless|Girl}}ness in regards to almost anything aside from fighting. In addition, Anya suffers from memory problems, so she keeps a blog wherein she stores thousands of photos, in an attempt not to forget anything anymore.
----
* AcePilot: She's a very skilled pilot, and a sniper at that, showering her opponents with overwhelming firepower from a distance with her Mordred. In the novels, she also served as Nunnally's Knight at one point, so she's likely a skilled fighter like most of the other Knights of the Round.
* AdaptationalVillainy: [[spoiler:Because V.V. doesn't exist in the '''Nightmare of Nunnally'' series, she's the one who ends up assassinating Marianne instead as a planted [[TykeBomb child assassin]] by the Anti-Marianne faction. This is in contrast to her main series incarnation, who was pretty much just an ordinary noble girl prior to Marianne possessing her with her Geass.]]
* AgeInappropriateDress: Her Knightmare uniform which is basically a onesie.
* AlliterativeName: '''A'''nya '''A'''lstreim.
* AntiVillain: She's loyal to her emperor and shows no mercy to her enemies on the battlefield, but she's not particularly malevolent like most Britannians. [[spoiler:She's revealed to have been another victim of the night Marianne "died", being forcibly made into a SoulJar and having her memories rewritten by Charles to support the coverup that Marianne was killed by terrorists, as well as forcing Anya into a military position and leaving her with short-term memory loss so as to keep Marianne involved with the Ragnarok Connection. Tellingly, when Jeremiah has her at sword point and sees her cry over being unable to remember anything, he takes pity on her, uses his Geass Canceller to free her, and all but adopts her while they start an orange farm, with entries in the VideoGame/SuperRobotWars franchise and Anime/CodeGeassLelouchOfTheResurrection confirming her gaining UndyingLoyalty to Lelouch and Jeremiah out of gratitude.]]
* TheBeautifulElite: She's from a noble family and is quite beautiful.
* BlueBlood: She's a Knight of the Round and in general a Britannian noble.
* CallToAgriculture: [[spoiler:She's an orange farmer with Jeremiah after the GrandFinale.]]
* CameraFiend: She records anything and everything with her handheld computer/camera device. The reason being she suffers from memory loss [[spoiler:due to Marianne taking over her body at points]], so this is a way for her to remember things.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: She's so lacking in common sense that she saw nothing wrong with deploying her [[HumongousMecha Knightmare]] for a ''Cupid's Day chase at school''.
* ElegantGothicLolita: When wearing civies, she has a tendency to dress like this.
* EmotionlessGirl: Subverted, she does have them, they just rarely show. Once her memories are restored, she becomes more or less emotionally normal.
* {{Foil}}: To Jeremiah Gottwald. Both have UndyingLoyalty to their masters (Britannia for Anya and Lelouch for Jeremiah), have events that significantly changed them (Jeremiah being rebuilt into a cyborg from near-death and Anya [[spoiler:being implanted Marianne's memories when she was killed]]), and have German-sounding names, but their temperaments contrast (Jeremiah is a LargeHam whilst Anya is an EmotionlessGirl). And whereas Jeremiah's loyalty to Lelouch was genuine and remained [[spoiler:even after his death]], Anya's loyalty to Britannia was a byproduct of what was done to her, only siding with Schneizel near the end of the series out of disgust for what Lelouch had become. Once Anya was [[spoiler:freed from the effects of Geass and Schneizel was defeated]] though, Jeremiah all but adopted her, with Anya gladly joining him on his orange farm rather than remaining with the military, and her loyalty now firmly belonging to [[spoiler:Lelouch]].
* {{Foreshadowing}}:
** Quite a lot. Specifically, during the prologue of episode 12 of R2, Villetta is seen glancing at a dossier of both Gino and Anya. In contrast to Gino's file, almost all of Anya's has been redacted. [[spoiler:Turns out being involved with Marianne's assassination commands a pretty high-security clearance.]] Then there are the numerous casual mentions of her memory problems, that start to come to a head during her brief Knightmare engagement with C.C.
** Her memory problems. [[spoiler:It has been demonstrated that people don't remember what they do while under Geass.]]
** For some reason, she has a photo of Lelouch back when he was a prince. [[spoiler:Turns out she was at the Aries Villa and turns out to be the ''real'' witness of Marianne's assassination.]]
* GiveHerANormalLife: After the events of R2, in Turn 25.01, before ending their visit to Ashford Academy, [[ParentalSubstitute Jeremiah]] asks her if she wants to stay. She declines, saying that it's okay as long as she can remember it. It's implied that she didn't want to leave Jeremiah. However, in the manga, since Jeremiah doesn't take her in, their relationship is non-existent and she attends Ashford with Gino.
* HappilyAdopted: [[spoiler:It's implied she is by Jeremiah at the end of the series.]]
* ImprobableAge: She's the youngest Knightmare pilot in the Knight of Round, though she's only younger than Gino by two years and Suzaku by three years. [[spoiler:Being Marianne's SoulJar [[TheConspiracy might have something to do with it.]]]]
* KindHeartedCatLover: Arthur takes a liking to her which she appears to return. It's hinted she becomes his owner after Suzaku's "death".
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: Gained memory problems when [[spoiler:Marianne used her as a SoulJar via Geass]]. Jeremiah's [[AntiMagic Geass Canceler]] gets rid of it, allowing her to remember things without problem, though this presumably didn't recover all of her lost memories.
* LeotardOfPower: The outfit she wears when piloting her Knightmare.
* LittleMissBadass: She's only 15 and is one of the top Knightmare pilots in the empire.
* MeaningfulName: Anya means "mother". [[spoiler:She's a SoulJar for [[MissingMom Lady Marianne]].]]
* MightyGlacier: Anya pilots the Mordred, a very bulky Knightmare Frame that can both take a beating and dish one out with all of its firepower. It's even strong enough to completely crush an enemy Knightmare Frame with just its bare hands. However, it's not exactly the most agile.
* MoreDakka: The Mordred has got to be the most heavily armed Knightmare, outfitted with tons of heavy artillery and cannons. It can even combine its cannons into the Stark Hadron Cannon, which can outright destroy enemy airships.
* MysteriousPast: Her security records have been redacted [[spoiler:due to her connection to TheConspiracy]], which is also why she can't remember anything. According to [[spoiler:Marianne]], she was a girl that was sent to the Aries Villa to learn proper etiquette. Since there's no indication she has contact with any family members or guardians, combined with the fact that she ends up [[ParentalSubstitute being taken in by Jeremiah]], it can also be assumed that her connection to her family was cut off.
* NoSocialSkills: Her detached attitude causes her to lack common sense; she had piloted her personal Knightmare Frame for the sake of capturing Lelouch's hat, disregarding the fact that she was piloting her Mordred in a non-combat area and had aroused the suspicion of the military and the Knight Police, sending the Tokyo Concession into Defcon 2.
* NotSoStoic:
** After Jeremiah defeats her, she sheds tears, revealing to him that she has no memories.
** In the novels, she once cries while piloting.
** {{Downplayed|Trope}}, but during the Battle of Mt. Fuji, she comments to herself that she doesn't like the "current" Lelouch, all but saying she liked the ''former'' Lelouch, i.e. his more kindhearted demeanor at Ashford.
* OlderThanSheLooks: Looks about twelve. She's actually fifteen.
* PreAsskickingOneLiner: A pretty epic considering her personality.
-->''"I'll make both of you into records on my hard drive."''
* TheQuietOne: Likes taking pictures of people more than talking to them.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: But her eyes are not entirely red; they also have more than a touch of pink, which makes sense since [[spoiler:PrincessesPreferPink.]]
* ReiAyanamiExpy: A pink-haired, red-eyed and pale-skinned 15-year-old {{emotionless|Girl}} HumongousMecha pilot with UndyingLoyalty to the empire and its emperor. [[spoiler:What's more, turns out Marianne used her own geass to inject her own soul and memory into Anya, making the kid a spiritual "clone" of the protagonist's mother.]]
* SheKnowsTooMuch: Subverted. [[spoiler:As a little girl, Anya was the sole witness of Marianne's assassination, but instead of being discovered and killed, she became Marianne's SoulJar and had her memories rewritten by her and Charles.]]
* SoulJar: [[spoiler:For Empress Marianne.]]
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her Knight of Rounds uniform.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: What she turns out to be, in the end.
* {{Tykebomb}}: [[spoiler:Anya is sent to assassinate Marianne in ''Nightmare of Nunnally'']].
* UndyingLoyalty: Loyal to Britannia and the Emperor. She sided with Schneizel and his faction when Lelouch takes control of the empire after "killing" Charles zi Britannia, seeing him as the legitimate of the two. That being said, she comments to herself that she dislikes the "current" Lelouch, so it's also partially her not liking how tyrannical Lelouch had seemingly become.

The Knight of Nine. She only appears a few times in the ''Code Geass'' anime, and mainly appears in the ''Lost Colors'' video game and the SpinOff manga Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection. She attended the same military academy as Cornelia as her senior. Her GenkiGirl demeanor disguises someone that even Cornelia is afraid of.
----
* AceCustom: Nonette pilots a custom version of the Lancelot Club. The MVS Lance Blades have been replaced by Sword Blade versions, the arms are equipped with Luminous Cone generators, and it wields a Jousting Lance, leaving it more suited as a Close Combat type KMF.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Despite her cheery demeanor, Nonette is one of the few people Cornelia actually fears.

[[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] with the reveal of her survival in the SpinOff manga Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection, which has her leave the Knights of the Round and join the Glynda Knights, surviving the final battle and being a member of the reformed Glinda Knights under Oldrin Zevon.[[note]]As she was no longer a Knight of the Round at this point, the WordOfGod is a case of ExactWords[[/note]] This is further confirmed in ''[[Anime/CodeGeassLelouchOfTheResurrection Re;surrection]]'', where she appears with the living Glinda Knights wearing the robes of the Knights of the Round, implying they have taken upon the role of the latter in the new Britannian Empire under Empress Nunnally.
* MeaningfulName: Both her names have words for the number 9 in them.
* RippleEffectProofMemory: ''Oz the Reflection'' reveals that, despite Rai’s attempts at [[UnPerson using Geass to erase his own existence from spacetime]], Nonette ''still'' remembers him and wants to find him.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: In the anime she outright vanishes after Lelouch's ascension to the throne, and is missing during the Knight's attempted Coup de Etat before being stopped by Suzaku. The [[Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection Oz the Reflection manga]] explained that Bismarck ordered her to remain behind and guard Schneizel in their absence, and that she is the one who brought Cornelia to Horai Island after she was gunned down by Schneizel but retrieved by Kanon, before joining the Glinda Knights in their attack on the Damocles under Lelouch's control.

* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: When he's first introduced he viciously insults Suzaku's heritage, mentions wanting to rape and torture Kallen and... says Gino is a bad pilot due to him being an UpperClassTwit.
* BloodKnight: Of the "loving to kill" kind. He loves war because it gives him the opportunity to rob people of their lives against their will.
* ColdBloodedTorture: In spite of the below trope, he likes to torture other pilots before killing them.
* CombatPragmatist: Though just as much because he's a jerkass as it is for pragmatism.

* EvilRedhead: Orange with some pink in the center.
* FauxAffablyEvil: When speaking to the Knights of the Round, he occasionally adopts a polite tone, but it is dripping with sarcasm to show he means none of the polite words.
* FreudianExcuse: He had quite the crappy childhood.
* HateSink: For a show with BlackAndGrayMorality, this guy is determined to make you hate his guts.

* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Luciano is viciously prejudiced against the Japanese, even by Britannian standards and utterly delights in the chance to kill them during the assault on Japan out of a chance to sate his racism and bloodlust.
* PreMortemOneLiner: His CatchPhrase...

* ChildProdigy: One of the youngest members of the Knights alongside Gino and Anya, being only 19 years old at R2, presumably she became a member at 17 before her appearance in the Side Orpheus novel.
* InformedAbility: [[spoiler:She's meant to be an AcePilot, but she's killed within her only on-screen fight in the main anime]]. {{Averted|Trope}} in ''[[Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection Oz the Reflection]]'', as she is shown having some skill with her Florence Knightmare fighting Orpheus, though she still gets defeated and left unconscious in the end.
* KilledMidSentence: [[spoiler:She was in the middle of pointing out Suzaku and his Lancelot Albion before she and the Florence ate a V.A.R.I.S. Rifle blast.]]
-->[[spoiler:"It's Suzaku Kururu--!"]] ''(BOOM!)''
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: She's completely unaware that the man she fell in love with, Orpheus, is also Oz, the man who nearly killed her.
** In the anime proper, though she's aiding Charles in [[spoiler:the Ragnarok Connection]], she doesn't really know ''why'' he's heading to Kamine Island and ignoring the other problems as "mundane".
* NiceGirl: Unlike most Britannians, she harbors no prejudice against Numbers, rather she believes "Justice is given equally." [[spoiler:This makes her death rather tragic in hindsight, as she carried InternalReformist views similar to the ones that the man who kills her - Suzaku - used to have.]]
* NoRangeLikePointBlankRange: On the receiving end of this by Suzaku and his Lancelot Albion's V.A.R.I.S. Rifle, with fatal results.
* OhCrap: Her face ''screams'' this when she sees the Lancelot Albion fly ''right in front of her'' and point its V.A.R.I.S. Rifle straight at the cockpit.
* RoyalBastard: Side materials and spin-offs reveal that Monica [[spoiler:is secretly an illegitimate child of Charles who had her with her birth mother, Natalia Ginzburg, making her an unknown half-sibling to the Britannian royal children in the series.]]
* StarcrossedLovers: Almost. The [[Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection Oz manga]] reveals she met Orpheus while stationed in Cambodia and was set to go on a date with him. During the Florence's test run however, she's attacked by Oz of Peacemark and left badly wounded and unconcious, causing her to miss the date. Neither she nor Orpheus were aware they had fought each other.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Charles zi Britannia, so much so she became the head of his Royal Guard. After Lelouch's ascension as Britannian Emperor, she joined the coup against Lelouch solely due to Lelouch killing his father, [[spoiler: which lead to her death]]. The reveal that she's [[spoiler:an illegitimate child of Charles likely has something to do with it.]]
* WorfEffect: Like Dorothea, she is effortlessly killed by Suzaku and his Lancelot Albion to express just how much of a threat he's become compared to the Knights of the Round.

The Glinda Knights are an anti-terrorism search-and-destroy armor unit within the Britannian Military. They were formed and led by the 88th Imperial Princess Marrybell mel Britannia shortly after the Black Rebellion.

The main ace of the Glinda Knights and the childhood friend of Princess Marrybell. She is the heir of the Zevon noble family, who succeeds via the female line. However, she left her family and entered the military when the Zevon family was on the verge of being taking over by her uncle Oiaguro.
----
* AceCustom: The Lancelot Grail, a variant of the Lancelot. It is later upgraded into the Lancelot High-Grail. During her time with the "Star of Madrid", she pilots the Amanecer, a Knightmare based off the Akatsuki but on par with the Zangetsu.
* AmbiguouslyGay: And if her bed scenes with Marrybell are anything to go by, maybe ''not'' so ambiguous.
* BladeSpam: All of the Knightmares she pilots use a ''lot'' of swords. Her Lancelot Grail alone mounts ''12''.
* BreakTheBeliever: After a confrontation with Wizard at her mother's grave, she begins to question is she really is doing the right thing as part of the Glinda Knights, as the terrorists they hunt are part of "the people" the group swore to protect. As Marrybell becomes more and more ruthless in stopping terrorists though, Oldrin defects to the Star of Madrid resistance group, realizing she can't protect the people as part of the Glinda Knights anymore.
* ClothingDamage: A particularly glaring example happens when both the Lancelot Grail and the Bradford get electrocuted at the same time, but only Oldrin gets stripped of her clothing.
%% * CustomUniform: [[http://images.wikia.com/codegeass/images/5/5f/Image-Oldrin_%28Pilot_suit%29.jpg]] FridgeBrilliance once you see that Marrybell seems to have more than just a crush on her Knight.
* DefectorFromDecadence: When Marrybell's crusade against terrorism clashes with her desire to protect the weak, Oldrin goes into hiding and joins an anit-Britannian resistance group called the "Star of Madrid".
* DistaffCounterpart: Serves as one to Suzaku. Like Suzaku, Oldrin also is the knight of a princess (who looks remarkably like Euphemia) [[BodyguardCrush she has affections towards]], pilots a SuperPrototype called Lancelot, and is motivated to protect the common citizenry. She’s basically Suzaku without all the guilt and emotional baggage [[spoiler: from murdering his father]], and never had to face Britannian prejudice due to being a privileged noble instead of a second-class Number like him.
* HeirClubForMen: {{Inverted}}. The Zevons are a matrilineal noble family and only females are allowed to succeed as the heir, which is why her older twin brother, Orpheus, was passed over and abandoned in favor of her.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Both her Lancelot Grail and Lancelot [=HighGrail=] are equipped with nothing ''but'' a [[BladeSpam whole bunch of swords.]]
* HideYourLesbians: Only Toto knows about her and Marrybell, but they've never been confirmed to be lesbians or a couple.
%% * MsFanservice: All of the female characters in [[Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection Oz]] have fanservice moments, but Oldrin provides most of them.
* {{Protectorate}}: An unknowing one. She is constantly being watched over by the leader of Peace Mark, Wizard. While she initially believes it to be because they're enemies, [[spoiler:it's actually because he's her uncle and head of the Zevon family, Oiagros, doing his best to protect her as [[TheAtoner atonement]] for killing her mother.]]
* RankUp: After the fall of Emperor Lelouch and the murder-suicide of Marrybell and Orpheus, Oldrin takes control of the Glinda Knights and restructures them.
* WesternTerrorists: [[spoiler:In O2, she joins with a Spanish terrorist group called the "Star of Madrid" to fight against Britannian occupation.]]
* TomboyishName: "Oldrin" isn't the sorta name you'd expect a girl to have, really.

Leonhardt Steiner is a knight belonging to the Glinda Knights. He is also member of the engineering Steiner noble family that runs the conglomerate Steiner Konzern, in service to the Weinbergs. Although he can be courageous on the battlefield, he's a shy person in real life and is often teased by both Oldrin and Sokia.

He represents the Cowardly Lion.
----
* MeaningfulName: ''Leonhardt = Leon hart = Lion Heart''
* SuperPrototype: Bradford, the prototype of the Tristan.

Kewell's younger sister and an on-again off-again member of the Glinda Knights. She is made a member of the Knight of Ten's "Valkyrie Squadron", nearly costing her life against Kallen during the Battle of Tokyo. She was saved thanks to her fiance Leonhardt pulling a BigDamnHeroes moment, the two proceeding to wed after Emperor Lelouch's death. She would then join under Oldrin in the new Glinda Knights alongside her husband.
----
* AmazonBrigade: Her time in the Valkyrie Squadron left her apart of one. They didn't amount to much though, with Kallen slaughtering everyone in the squad but her.
* AscendedExtra: Marika debuted in the anime, having about two scenes in the second season only to seemingly die. She has more focus in the SpinOff manga, Manga/CodeGeassOzTheReflection, detailing her history and the nature of her survival.
* CustomUniform: While apart of the Valkrie Squadron, she's forced to wear a rather ridiculous one. [[http://codegeass.wikia.com/wiki/File:1218590842_GEASS04.jpg See for yourself.]]
* EarnYourHappyEnding: After having to suffer the loss of her brother, forced to serve under the psychotic Knight of Ten Luciano, and nearly die at the hands of Kallen, she is saved by her fiancee, gets to have a proper wedding with him, and join the reformed Glinda Knights under her friend Oldrin.
* ItsPersonal: Marika's older brother Kewell was killed by Kallen in the battle of Narita, so she joined the army for revenge. [[spoiler:Had Oz The Reflection not revealed she survived, Marika would have suffered the same fate as her brother, by the ''same'' person.]]
%%* LadyInWaiting: Alongside Liliana, Marika was a military variant to Cornelia according to the {{Novelization}}.
%% * LeotardOfPower
* LethalChef: Marika is known for putting way too much pepper in a pie for Leonhardt.
* PerfectlyArrangedMarriage: With Leonhardt. Given Britannian noble culture, it was likely arranged by their families for purely selfish reasons but the two of them ''are'' genuinely in love.
* SoleSurvivor: Marika is the sole confirmed survivor of the Valkyrie Squadron, having been saved by her fiance Leonhardt after her Vincent was destroyed.
* SuperPrototype: Marika was the test pilot for the Bradford, the prototype for Knight of Three Gino's Tristan. After she completed the testing, it was given to her then-fiancee Leonhardt.
* YouRemindMeOfX: In the {{Novelization}}, Marika's star-stuck admiration of Cornelia reminded the latter of herself and the way she looked up to late Empress Marianne.

Tink Rockheart s a knight belonging to the Glinda Knights. He excels with positional defense ability and cherishes his comrades, but because of his insensitivity, his kindness can be kind of meddlesome. He was originally a test pilot in the Royal KMF Technical Research Institute, but because of an accident during his time there, over 30% of his body has been replaced by cybernetics.

He represents the Tin Woodman.

Sokia Scerpa is a knight belonging to the Glinda Knights. She possesses high tactical and information analysis abilities, but tends to say whatever she thinks without thinking about it first. Her atmosphere completely changes between her everyday life and when in battle. She frequently sexually harasses Oldrin, Toto and Marrybell. She doesn't show interest in men that are lacking.

She represents the Scarecrow.
----
* AceCustom: Sutherland Eye, a command unit specialized for search and destroy.
* AlliterativeName: '''S'''okia '''S'''cerpa
* AttackDrone: Her Sheffield Eye is equipped with ACO Harkens, which are semi-autonomous with high behavior prediction.
* LovableSexManiac: She gives even ''Milly'' a run for her money in the pervert department. Think about that for second.
* MidSeasonUpgrade: During O2, she upgrades to the Sheffield Eye, a SuperPrototype developed alongside the Bradford and the Zetland.
* MsFanservice: Of a lesser degree than Oldrin, but she wears the same stripperiffic uniform.
* SuperPrototype: Implied. Her Sheffield Eye was developed alongside the Bradford and Zetland (the SuperPrototype to the Tristan and Mordred) implying it has some successor unit that was meant for the Knights of the Round, but no such machine is ever mentioned.

She recognizes Oldrin as the proper successor of the Zevon family and has the strength of heart to the extent that she entered the military along with Oldrin. She serves Oldrin as both a maid and a friend.
