5Characters that appeared in Tite Kubo's ''Manga/{{Bleach}}''. This page deals with the '''Arrancars, Hollows that have torn off their mask to gain Soul Reaper-like abilities'''.

7'''NOTE: To avoid confusion to English-language readers, who may be more familiar with the English anime than the manga, all names are in Western order.'''

12
13[[folder:In General]]
14* AnimalMotifs: Many Arrancars’ Zanpakuto are named after animals, which reflect the overall appearance of their Resurrección as well as their original Hollow form.
15* BishonenLine: Arrancar have mostly humanoid figures to bring them closer to Soul Reapers, with only some mask fragments and a hole (which isn't necessarily in the middle of their chest anymore) to signify that they were once Hollows. However, only Vasto Lorde are guranteed completely humanoid figures, with Gillian and Adjuchas coming down to luck, and an ordinary Hollow like Grand Fisher barely looks human at all after evolution.
16* FacialMarkings: Arrancar generally have an Estigma somewhere on their face. Some only gain it in their released state, while others may gain different markings from before. Nnoitra is able to recognize Nel as Nelliel once he gets a good look at her markings.
17* FlashStep: The Arrancar version is called Sonido, and it allows them to slip through reiatsu-sensing abilities.
18* GreyscaleOfEvil: The Arrancar serving Aizen have a [[CustomUniform variety of outfits]], but they’re all primarily white with black outlines.
19* KamehameHadoken: Like Menos, Arrancar can fire a Cero, though the origin of the move varies compared to the former group generally [[BreathWeapon firing from their mouth]]. Arrancar can also fire a Bala, a bullet of hardened reiatsu that is weaker, but 20 times faster than a Cero.
20* OneWingedAngel: The release of an Arrancar's zanpakuto, known as Resurrección, merges the sword with its owner to transform into a state resembling their original Hollow form. Their abilities are greatly enhanced, and any injuries they sustained before the release are healed, despite most giving up their high-speed regeneration.
21* SuperToughness: One of their passive abilities is Hierro, which makes their skin hard enough to perform {{Barehanded Blade Block}}s against Soul Reapers.

25[[folder:In General]]
26[[quoteright:340:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/255espada.png]]
27[[caption-width-right:340:The Espada[[note]]Top Row: Yammy Llargo, Coyote Starrk, Ulquiorra Cifer, Szayelaporro Granz, and Zommari Rureaux.\
28Bottom Row: Nnoitra Gilga, Baraggan Louisenbairn, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, Aaroniero Arruruerie, and Tier Harribel[[/note]]]]
29An elite group of ten-ranked powerful Arrancars in Aizen's Army, serving as his direct subordinates.
30----
31* AssholeVictim: Excluding {{Tragic Villain}}s such as Stark and Ulquiorra, along with [[AntiVillain Harribel who's one of the more reasonable members]] and [[NobleDemon Grimmjow for his code of honor]], the rest were nothing but selfish violent bastards who were cruel to both their fellow Arrancars or their enemies and mostly cared about themselves, which makes their deaths hard to pity (although not impossible to pity, as seen with Nnoitra's).
32* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: In order to become an Espada, you need to be one of the strongest Arrancars and recognized by Aizen for your efforts. Espada are free to choose their own Fracción and as many as they want. High-ranked Espada may lead lower ranked members on missions, although this seems to be mainly because of Aizen's direct orders rather than actual hierarchy, since the Espada are often shown to not respect each other.
33* BishonenLine: The Espada's releases are an example of this as one goes up by number until you reach the top 3. Yammy, Aaroniero, Szayelaporro, and Zommari (10th through 7th respectively) are outright monstrous, but they get progressively smaller and arguably less scary. 6th through 3rd Espadas Grimmjow, Nnoitra, Ulquiorra, and Harribel (whose release gives her a much more {{stripperific}} outfit and changes her sword into a BFS) are animal based, but generally get progressively more humanoid as the ranks go higher. Number 2 Baraggan [[SubvertedTrope defies the pattern]] by becoming a skeleton with a flaming fur coat, and 1st Espada Starrk [[DoubleSubversion gets it back on track]] with an eyepatch and a change of clothes. And a pair of really cool guns...[[ZigZaggingTrope only for the pattern to once again be defied]] by Yammy, as he's Espada #0 as well.
34* BoomerangBigot: Many Espada, and Arrancar in general, hold Shinigami in contempt, despite themselves crossing a BishonenLine from Hollows that grant them Shinigami powers. Furthermore, only FillerVillain Patros ever seems to take issue with their leader Aizen being a Shinigami himself.
35* DeathByIrony: In respect to their aspect of death.
36** Starrk and Lilynette (solitude) end up DyingAlone.
37** Baraggan (senescence) dies via his own RapidAging powers.
38** Harribel (sacrifice), though she survives, is cut down by Aizen, who finds nothing to gain from her own sacrifice and decides to “cut his losses.”
39** Ulquiorra (emptiness) ends up understanding a human heart in his last moments.
40** Nnoitra (despair) dies fighting a completely hopeless battle against Kenpachi.
41** Grimmjow (destruction), despite not dying, does obliterate his successor Luppi (Who's stated in ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'' to share Grimmjow's aspect of death).
42** Zommari (ecstacy) perishes in delusion.
43** Szayelaporro (madness) succumbs to madness out of seemingly thousands of years of boredom.
44** Yammy (rage) claims to get stronger with rage, yet he's easily bested by two Soul Reapers who maintain their composure the whole time.
45* DudeWhereIsMyRespect: Villainous example. Despite their high ranks, the Espada aren't respected by all Arrancars. The Fracción only follow their respective Espada, to the point that their loyalty goes beyond their loyalty towards Aizen (if any), and they would often disrespect the other Espada. Several of the Números, whether canon or filler Arrancars, show openly disdain to some of the Espada they don't like and won't follow their orders. In both canon and filler, some Arrancars underestimate the Espada and attack them.
46* DwindlingParty: As the war against Soul Society continues, the Espada and their Fracción die one by one. By the end of the war, only Grimmjow and Harribel and her Fracción, along with a few Arrancars survived the ordeal.
47* EvilCounterpart: To the Thirteen Court Guards. They're all basically squad leaders, with the 13 Court Guard Captains leading an organized company of disciplined soldiers. The Espada are an "army" in name only with each individual member basically being in competition with the others.
48* HateSink: With the exception of [[TokenGoodTeammate Starrk, Harribel]], [[TragicVillain Ulquiorra]], and [[NobleDemon Grimmjow]], the members of the Espada are a bunch of arrogant, violent, and selfish assholes who do a lot of terrible deeds and basically have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. (Although [[InferioritySuperiorityComplex Nnoitra]] may be a possible exception as well).
49* {{Jerkass}}: Barring Harribel and Starrk, who were some of the nicer members, the rest are either sadists or cold-hearted fighters with little care for others aside from themselves. Even the nicest members aren't exempt from this: Nelliel, back when she was the Tres Espada, showed CondescendingCompassion towards Nnoitra Gilga, which in part led him to snap.
50* LetterMotif: The Espada all have two of the same letters in their names: Sta''rr''k, Bara''gg''an, Ha''rr''ibel, Ulquio''rr''a, ''Nn''oitra, Gri''mm''jow, Zo''mm''ari, Szayelapo''rr''o, ''Aa''roniero, and Ya''mm''y. Most former and Privaron Espadas also follow this rule: Ne''ll''iel, Lu''pp''i, Ciru''cc''i and Gantenbai''nn''e. Dordoni is the only character who [[AvertedTrope averts]] this, and even then [[SpellMyNameWithAnS his name has been spelled]] Dordon''ii'' depending on the translation.
51* OneManArmy: The Espada are so powerful only those with the strength of a Soul Reaper Captain can fight them.[[labelnote:*]]The only exception being Aaroniero, who was killed by Rukia when she was still at the level of a Lieutenant.[[/labelnote]] The highest ranks of the Espada cannot be defeated by a single Captain and required group effort from even Captain-class characters to defeat. Starrk and Barragan were confirmed to be examples of WalkingWasteland even before they became Espada. However, like the Captains, they also were not strong enough to handle Aizen's strength.
52* PersonOfMassDestruction: The top four Espada are so strong they're actually forbidden from releasing their Resurrección while within Las Noches, as the resulting surge of spiritual energy and the destructive force they can unleash going all out can destroy the entire fortress.
53* ThePsychoRangers: Some to Captains in the Thirteen Court Guard Squads.
54** Szayelaporro vs. Mayuri. Both are sociopathic scientists. But while Mayuri does terrible things for scientific research in the eternal quest for perfection, Szayelaporro commits evil acts out of pure sadism and believes that he's already perfect.
55** Nnoitra vs. Kenpachi. The latter just wants a good fight, and even gives himself handicaps so fights will last longer. The former simply enjoys killing things and thinks nothing of using dirty tricks or attacking weakened opponents. Also, Kenpachi is considerably nicer to little girls. Both also use wear eyepatches.
56** Zommari vs. Byakuya. Both are very skilled in Shunpo and Sonido. Byakuya's pride and devotion to the laws of Soul Society is mirrored by Zommari's zealous worship of Aizen. Zommari even tries to call Byakuya out on his flaws, saying that he's only fighting because he believes Soul Reapers are inherently superior to Hollows, to which Byakuya, showing his CharacterDevelopment, replies that he doesn't care: he will cut down Zommari for turning his sword on Rukia, his pride.
57** Starrk vs. Kyoraku. Both prove to be brilliant, powerful, but lazy characters, although Starrk's backstory reveals he's actually a neutral (and fairly sympathetic) counterpart to Kyoraku that considers the other Espada his friends.
58** Harribel vs Hitsugaya. Both use powers related to water in some way, have immature subordinates with a feline {{Animal Motif|s}}, and have the initials T.H. ('''T'''oshiro '''H'''itsugaya, '''T'''ier '''H'''arribel).
59* SevenDeadlySins: Evidently, the Espada were originally only going to be seven instead of ten, and Kubo had intended them to each be one of the Seven Deadly Sins. They were later changed to each represent an aspect of death.
60* SpeakIllOfTheDead: Several members of the Espada talk bad about their fellow dead members as seen in multiple cases. Only a few of them may have shown hints of sorrow at best.
61* SpecificallyNumberedGroup: They always comprise the top ten Arrancar. Although the number isn't given any particular significance, it is consistent -- when one member suffers an injury that weakens him, he's immediately demoted to "Privaron Espada" and replaced.
62* StandardEvilOrganizationSquad: The Espada serve this role as the most powerful Arrancar in Aizen's army and main enemies of the Thirteen Court Guard Squad captains during the war against Soul Society.
63* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Even more so than the Thirteen Court Guards. The Espada openly dislike each other, have practically zero teamwork -- as missions involving multiple Espada usually go down in one-on-one fights -- and they are not above backstabbing each other. According to Gin, the only thing that keeps them together is the unrivaling power of Aizen whom none of them can defeat.
64* WaveMotionGun: The Espada have access to two Cero variants much more powerful than the standard.
65** The Gran Rey Cero involves supercharging a Cero [[ThePowerOfBlood with some of their own blood]], which is so powerful it's forbidden under normal circumstances from being fired within Las Noches due to the level of damage it can cause.
66** The Cero Oscuras is a variant that fires a jet-black Cero many times more powerful than the standard Cero, to the point an Espada can only perform it while in their released state.
67* YouAreNumberSix: They numbered 1-10 (actually 0-9) to symbolize how Aizen ranks their power. Unlike the Números, the numbers are tattoed somewhere on their body.

89----
90Initially introduced as a [[CuteMonsterGirl child-like Arrancar girl]] with her two companions and pet Hollow worm, Nel encountered Ichigo, Ishida and Sado back at the Hueco Mundo desert. After giving them a tutorial on how to differentiate between Espada (ranked by strength) and Números (ranked by age), she later agrees to lead them into Las Noches, the headquarters of Aizen and his Espada. While still very much comic relief, Nel accompanied Ichigo during his fights with Dordoni Socaccio, Ulquiorra Cifer and Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, before her status as a former Espada was revealed by Nnoitra Gilga, her IgnoredEnemy during their time as Espadas. Even in her true form, she is childlike, gentle and innocent. She abhors fighting, but has a great deal of martial skill.
91
92Her Zanpakutō is known as '''''Gamuza'''''. It transforms her into a centaur wielding a lance.
93-----
94* ActionGirl: One of the most powerful women in Bleach, as demonstrated by her near-defeat of Nnoitra.
95* AdaptationalCurves: Zigzagged. Neliel is consistently shown to have bigger boobs than anyone in the series except Kirio Hikifune of the Zero Squad, and her butt is also consistently big. However, depending on the art, her stomach has been shown to be either very toned or a bit bigger and softer. Her Brave Souls Hogyoku art and her double-spread swimsuit by Tite Kubo are the former, with her bikini in Chapter 353 and her post-series calendar art being the latter. This is made more complicated by the fact that these appearances are all from different time periods, so meaning weight gain or loss also can't explain it.
96* AdaptationDyeJob: The manga showed her with green hair, while the anime has her with bluish-green hair. [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] with the release of the ''Thousand-Year Blood War'' anime, where her hair is green, just like in the manga.
97* AnimalMotifs: She is goat-antelope (and true antelope) themed. Her mask has ram horns, and per goat stereotypes, she [[BigEater eats a lot]]. Her Resurreccíon is called Gamuza (Spanish for "chamois", another goat-antelope, but the kanji mean "antelope knight"). Her Resurreccíon form is a centaur-like gemsbok. Though the fur on her forepaws make them look like those of the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbary_sheep Barbary sheep]] (''Ammotragus lervia'').
98* AttackHello: Nel loves to headbutt Ichigo in the stomach. Sometimes, for no reason, she'll increase her speed mid-flight and give him a super-sonic headbutt.
99* AuthorAppeal: Despite drawing many extremely curvy girls dressed provocatively over the lifespan of the series, and many of them appearing in barely-there swimsuits in the Brave Souls game, Tite Kubo flat-out calls Neliel's bikini alt the "greatest swimsuit picture in the world" and says that he and every other player would pull for it regardless of its in-game stats.
100* BadassAdorable: She's the former Tres Espada and was able to match Nnoitra until her ability to sustain her adult form ran out...who will take a break to [[TheGlomp bear-hug Ichigo]]. Shows that she's still a kid at heart.
101* BadassAndChildDuo: The immature and comedic Child to Ichigo. She subverts it after returning to her adult form.
102* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: The reason why Nel follows Ichigo, protects him from Dordoni, shows concern over his injuries and, ultimately, transforms back into her unbelievably hot [[OlderAlterEgo adult form]] to fight Nnoitra.
103* BigEater: Well, as an adult, she ''stopped'' Nnoitra's Cero, inhaled it through her mouth and unleashed it right back at him. Kubo stated in the databook that she has a big appetite, and that Pesche and Dondochaka cooked for her.
104* BrutalHonesty: Nel is not one to hold back when criticizing others. As with Nnoitra, she never once held back how much she was better than him at everything even telling him to his face he's weaker than her. This naturally [[NiceJobBreakingItHero bites her in the ass when he nearly kills her Fracción and later her with a sneak attack.]]
105* CatchAndReturn: Her "Cero Doble" technique lets her inhale energy attacks and send them back with double the power by mixing it with her own Cero. Her child form can still redirect energy attacks, but without the extra damage.
106* ChildLikeVoice: Nelliel has a high pitched child's voice while in her adult form. She occasionally behaves in a childlike manner (e.g. hugging Ichigo) and is more empathetic and innocent than most of the other Espada.
107* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: After the fight with Nnoitra, she's apparently left behind when Ichigo rockets off to save Orihime and is completely forgotten about for the rest of the Arrancar arc despite having been Ichigo's companion through most of his journey in Hueco Mundo. [[TheBusCameBack She does returns to particepate in the "Thousand Year Blood War" arc]] and the novel ''Bleach: Spirits Are Forever With You'' would explain she ran off after being left behind with Kenpachi and fill in some of the gap between her appearances.
108* ClingyJealousGirl: After Rukia appears in Hueco Mundo, Nel clings to Ichigo while giving Rukia a bona-fide DeathGlare. When Rukia asks why she's looking at her like that, Nel demands to know what her relationship with Ichigo is. The scene is anime-only filler and never occurs in the manga.
109* ClothingDamage: As a result of her morphing into an adult, her garb tears apart to such an extent that it's a miracle her "clothes" even stayed on her.
110* CondescendingCompassion: Often pulled this trope on Nnoitra, dismissing his BloodKnight philosophy and refusing to see him as a warrior despite his efforts. As a result, she felt he needed to be watched over and saved to prevent himself from getting into more trouble than he can handle. This ends up biting her back hard, when she pushes him to his RageBreakingPoint.
111* CuteMonsterGirl: After spending the early parts of the series fighting Hollows as a MonsterOfTheWeek, and more recently being antagonized by the Arrancar serving Aizen, Ichigo and his friends were understandably shocked to learn that she was of the same race. Dialed up with her Hogyoku Resurreccion, which has her go topless and grow fur on her upper body.
112* DeclarationOfProtection: When she returns to her adult form, she declares her intent to protect Ichigo by crushing Nnoitra. It doesn't turn out as planned, but she comes pretty close.
113* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: Upon returning to her adult form thanks to Urahara, when she and Grimmjow get into an argument, she just shuts him down to not start a fight with Ichigo when they are in a war and telling him that she ''does not'' take orders from a "lower ranking" Espada like him. Surprisingly, [[BloodKnight Grimmjow]] doesn't get mad, aside from being iritated from her talking to him like that and that he wouldn't mind challenging her to to see who's more worthy of the title of #3, but is actually [[AmazonChaser impressed that she has the guts to stand up to him, unlike others.]]
114* DualAgeModes: Nel looks like a little girl, but can revert to her adult form.
115* EasyAmnesia: After getting hit in the head by Nnoitra and having her Hollow mask broken.
116* FacialMarkings: She has a red line that stretches horizontally across her face, right below her eyes. It loosely mimics half of the facial markings of the gemsbok, the form she takes in Resurreccíon.
117* FanservicePack: Her Hōgyoku Resurreccíon form is the only one of hers that is deliberately revealing. Her initial appearance and Resurreccíon showed midriff and the underside of her breasts due to the clothing she wore as a child being too small. When she uses her Hōgyoku Resurreccíon, she is completely topless, with only some fur to cover her the underside of her breasts. Even then, she still sports deep cleavage and pink reiatsu tattoos on her breasts and stomach to further emphasize them.
118* FantasticMedicinalBodilyProduct: Nel's saliva/drool is capable of healing people from near death.
119* FatalFlaw: Her CondescendingCompassion of Nnoitra comes back to bite her in the ass twice -- first, she continually follows him around on missions and basically babysitting him while rubbing it in his face that she has a higher rank, never finishing him off in their fights because he is of a lower rank than her and thus poses no threat, [[DontYouDarePityMe which to Nnoitra was disgracing him as a warrior.]] Nel is therefore unprepared when Nnoitra teams up with Szayel, nearly kills her Fracción and then cracks her mask, crippling her by turning her into a child and throwing her out of Las Noches to die. Then, when they meet again in the present, Nnoitra points out during their fight that the Espada have grown much stronger in her absence and Nel refusing to kill Nnoitra despite the threat he poses means that when she unexpectedly returns back to her kid form, he promptly curbstomps her once her powers go away.
120%%* {{Foil}}: She serves as one to Orihime. Both women are very busty women and [[MsFanservice some of the most beautiful women]] in the series, with long hair and while Orihime is around average height for a girl her age, Nel is a StatuesqueStunner. They both are GenkiGirls when off duty with something of an absent-minded side who have quite an appetite for food. Both women are pacifists towards fighting that, while Orihime is reluctant to hurt anyone, Nel is willing to harm those in self-defense but can't bring herself to kill. They both are NiceGirls towards those they care for and had to rely on an older brother figure, Orihime had her older brother Sora while Nel had her "brothers" Dondachakka and Pesche. Orihime is a WeakButSkilled who relies on barriers and healing while Nel is relies on swordsmanship and her natural Arrancar abilities. They both have feelings for Ichigo, however, while Orihime's are that of a romantic love, Nel's is more of a childish crush or admiration and usually played for laughs.
121* FountainOfYouth: Due to Nnoitra attacking her from behind, she suddenly and inexplicably turns into a child - something that even Szayelaporro found odd. Since he cracked her mask, she also gets EasyAmnesia.
122* GenkiGirl: Even as an adult, Nelliel had her moments of hyperactivity, particularly when she mood-swung from calm and melancholic after blowing up Nnoitra, to ecstatic and girly before glomp-humping Ichigo.
123* TheGlomp: To Ichigo, combined with AttackHello, to the point where she almost ''kills'' him. Notably, both the anime and the manga depict it as ''much'' more sexual than you'd expect. Her arms were wrapped over his neck, her chest was pressed against his torso and her legs were straddling his waist. The anime went so far as to have her ''humping him''. She even breaks up a fight between Ichigo and Grimmjow before it starts by almost flattening the latter to hug the former.
124* GreenEyedMonster: In the anime only, she gives Rukia a DeathGlare when it becomes clear that she's very close to Ichigo.
125* HiddenBuxom: In more ways than one. After her injury she reverted to a child-like form, with her adult appearance (and massive cup size) being hidden as a result. When she was active as the 3rd Espada, she also wore clothing that completely covered her body. While her breasts are so large that their size was still somewhat apparent through the clothes, it's not until she's seen in a bikini in a chapter cover that it's revealed she's actually even bustier than Rangiku.
126* TheHighQueen: After the defeat of the Vandenreich, Nel becomes the co-ruler of Hueco Mundo alongside fellow female Arrancar and former Tres Espada Tier Harribel. As one of the more amiable Arrancar, the Soul Reapers see her as a viable option for arranging a peace treaty between Soul Society and Hueco Mundo.
127* InSeriesNickname: Pesche and Dondochakka both call her "Nel," something both Ichigo and Orihime adopted.
128* JerkassToOne: Nelliel is usually nice and friendly towards others who she likes, but she was very cold and quite rude towards [[{{Jerkass}} Nnoitra]] for his rude and violent behavior. She basically treated him like a child who needed to be watched all the time and frequently looked down on him.
129* JoustingLance: In her Resurreccíon, her Zanpakutō transforms into a lance, which she throws with with a drill-like effect at Nnoitra, pinning him down.
130* LadyOfWar: As an adult Nelliel is a composed, dignified, and sophisticated warrior, chiding Nnoitra for fighting out of prejudice and hatred and moving elegantly in combat—so much that she can stop attacks at a moment's notice and execute them with deadly precision.
131* LeotardOfPower: During the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc, Nel sports a new uniform which is essentially a very fluffy, white leotard.
132* LikeAnOldMarriedCouple: She and Grimmjow hardly do anything but bicker about what is the right choice since her return. Still, unlike her ''much'' more antagonistic relationship with [[AxCrazy Nnoitra]], Grimmjow is more capable of cooperating with her. The fact that Grimmjow hasn't even tried to attack or kill her despite his exponential increase in power speaks volumes of how much more calmer he has become (and likely because he knows how important the treaty between Hueco Mundo and Soul Society is).
133* LimitBreak: She is one of the first three Espada given Hōgyoku Resurreccíon forms alongside Ulquoirra and Grimmjow. In her case, she gains pink reiatsu that empowers her lance, grows horns and fur, as well as gaining pink reiatsu tattoos on her body.
134* MagicPants: There's no other way to explain how her suddenly torn up child clothes get to strategicaly preserve her modesty (even if in the manga some {{Underboobs}} are visible).
135* MartialPacifist: According to Pesche, Nelliel hated fighting, but when your IgnoredEnemy happens to be [[HeManWomanHater Nnoitra Gilga]], it's hard for her to avoid it as much as she'd like. So when she was turned into a child with no memory of being an Espada, her two Fracción made every effort to avoid reminding her of her past so she could spend the rest of herself days having fun.
136* MoodSwinger: She's calm and silent while fighting Nnoitra. Then she turns around, looks at Ichigo, and ''jumps through the air while she glomps him''. Unlike most examples, this is very much PlayedForLaughs... and then when Nnoitra gets back up, she immediately returns to being calm. In the Vandenreich arc, she goes from glomping Ichigo again to coldly reprimanding Grimmjow for telling her what to do.
137* MsFanservice: Kind of. When she has access to proper clothes (ergo, in the flashbacks and when she and Grimmjow make their return), Nel dresses very conservatively by Bleach standards, with a preference toward high-collared shirts and smart slacks which show very little skin. But when Nel transforms out of her child state...[[ClothingDamage that's another story entirely]]. Either way, Nel is curvy and ''fantastically'' pretty, so she still counts, even if she's a more nuanced example than most in Bleach. Notably, whernever she's depicted alongside the series' most prominent (and shameless) fanservice girl - Rangiku Matsumoto - like in a few color spreads and figurines, Nel is always shown to be bustier but does much less to emphasize her assets than Rangiku despite this. Her Hogyoku Resurreccíon form also has her bare stomach fully exposed, with fur surrounding it. Her outfit during the Thousand Year Blood War completely covers her torso in favor of showing off her thighs, but after the war she switches to an outfit that exclusively shows off her stomach.
138* NiceGirl: ''Easily'' the nicest and most amiable of all the Hollows in the series. As while (Adult) Nel can be a little condescending and arrogant like most Arrancars, she's a loyal and cheerful ally to Ichigo and his friends and can be quite the GenkiGirl when she wants to be.
139* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Twice:
140** She constantly belittled Nnoitra and viewed him as someone who constantly needed to be watched over all the while rubbing salt on his pride as a warrior. This, coupled with her CondescendingCompassion towards him, got her Fracción's masks ripped off by him and her nearly killed by a sneak attack by the latter and turns into a child for several years.
141** She makes the right call in using her Resurreccíon against Nnoitra, but because of her refusal to kill him when she has him dead to rights, she returns back to child form just before she can attack him again. This not only allows Nnoitra to kick her away, but Ichigo almost gets killed because of her refusal to kill him had it not been for Kenpachi showing up.
142* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Her way of showing affection to Ichigo? AttackHello plus TheGlomp. Her way of getting his attention? AttackHello. Her way of pretty much everything to do with Ichigo? Make sure he has as little personal space as possible.
143* NotWorthKilling: Whenever she fought Nnoitra in the backstory, because she felt he wasn't a true warrior at the time. One of her official figurines makes light of this by having her stepping on a chibi Nnoitra like he's a nuisance while she's at the beach.
144* OhCrap: When she realizes Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji are Soul Reapers she panics, thinking they're evil monsters who kill poor, innocent Hollows for sport.
145* OurCentaursAreDifferent: Nel's released animal form is a gemsbok, though it's frequently mistaken for a horse's body because of the tail and, in the anime, her hooves. Plus the fact that centaurs are generally half horses and not half antelopes. Her Hōgyoku Resurreccíon form decks her out with reiatsu tattoos, spiral horns and fur covering her torso except for her stomach and upper chest, making her stand out even more.
146* PowerOfFriendship: Nel uses this and cheers on Ichigo in many fights when she's not getting in the way. She also snaps Orihime out of her despair because of it during his fight with Grimmjow.
147* PowerTattoo: In her Hōgyoku Resurreccíon form, she has pink reiastu tattoos on her stomach and breasts matching the reiatsu she uses to power up her lance.
148* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Coldly rebukes Nnoitra for slaughtering a village of Adjuchas while they're searching for Vasto Lordes, spelling out exactly why she looks down on him. This cements his determination to kill her. She also berates Grimmjow for his bloodlust when he immediately attempts to pick a fight with Ichigo.
149* ScarsAreForever: Nel has a broken mask and a scar that runs from the break in her mask down her forehead and nose to end at her cheek. The injury was inflicted upon her long ago by Nnoitra during an ambush set up by himself and Szayel. The injury reduces her to child form and never properly healed. She can only resume her adult form under duress and cannot retain the form without artificial aid (such as an armband granted to her by Urahara at a later date).
150* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Upon her return to her adult form against Nnoitra, Nel didn't really show much embarrassment with her garment torn up. Though considering the situation at hand, it's justified. Played straight upon Urahara giving her an armband to help her keep her adult form at will, that she shows off a lot of her legs and butt, with little concern about modesty.
151* ShesAllGrownUp: Ichigo and Orihime's reaction when she first changed back to adult form, as well as that of the drooling fanboys. She chooses to stay in this form permanently when given a device that allows it by Urahara.
152* ShesBack: Thanks to Urahara giving her an armband he made to help her keep her adult form, Nelliel is finally able to fight again for good.
153* ShipperOnDeck: Nel lectures Ichigo on how to properly treat Orihime (GroinAttack included).
154* SleepModeSize: Thanks to the wound to her mask, her body couldn't hold her normal power any more and she reverted into a very young child. In the Thousand Year Blood War arc, Urahara gave her an armband that allows her to switch forms at will and she emphasizes that she doesn't really see a reason to change back to her child form, letting her go through actual character development as an adult.
155* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Officially, it's Nelliel, but Neliel seems to be more commonly used. Considering the Spanish theme of Arrancar names, this should actually make the pronunciation of the double l in the middle more like a y or j depending on accent, which doesn't help.
156* StatuesqueStunner: In her adult form, she's tall and extremely busty.
157* {{Stripperiffic}}: In her adult form, Nel's garbs turn into this. It's justified by virtue of her previously wearing a sack that can hardly cover her fully grown body anymore in adult form. In her Hōgyoku Resurreccíon form, she is totally topless and only has fur to cover the underside of her breasts, sporting deep cleavage and a totally bare stomach that are covered in reiatsu tattoos to further emphasize them.
158* TenderTears: Nel cries. A lot. Happy tears, sad tears, she's quite the crybaby who shows a lot of concern for her friends.
159* TerritorialSmurfette: Rukia is the first female character she has on-screen interaction with. In the anime only, her first action is to act hostile toward her due to jealousy over Ichigo. In the manga, this scene never happens.
160* ThirdPersonPerson: In her child form, she calls herself by her name, never "I" or "me".
161* TokenHeroicOrc: She and her companions are pretty much the only Arrancars who are on the heroes's side.
162* TransformationTrinket: When she reappears in her adult form during the Vandenreich arc, she is wearing a bracelet made by Urahara that allows her to switch between her child and adult form at will, though she doubts she'll ever need to turn into a kid again.
163* UncertainDoom: When she jumps into Askin's Gift Ball Deluxe with the intention of saving Urahara and his comrades, she seems to resign herself to the possibility of dying. The series ends without ever revealing what became of her or anyone inside the Gift Ball Deluxe. The official light novel ''Literature/BleachWeDoKnotAlwaysLoveYou'', which was co-written by Creator/TiteKubo and is set between the final battle with Yhwach and the WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue, reveals that Urahara and company were rescued.
164* {{Underboobs}}: In the manga, the underside of her bust is exposed as a result of her adult body tearing her child-size rags, and she also is shown this way on the cover of the volume in which she first changes form.
165* VerbalTic: Nel has a lisp in her child form.
166* VomitIndiscretionShot: Sort of... Nel can vomit up her saliva by grabbing her "throat penis" (uvula), which contains healing properties. This is shown on screen often, much to the disgust of both Ichigo and other Arrancars. It looks like saliva, but... yeah. At any rate, the action is shown quite a lot.
167* WalkingSwimsuitScene: Notable in that it's the only other time we've seen her adult form, as she appears in one of the colored volume spreads with a green swimsuit alongside Rangiku, Orihime, and Rukia. She's wearing a white coat and green boots as well. Yet another color spread later in the series once again showns her in a bikini at the beach with Orihime, Yoruichi and Ichigo's sisters and boss.

176->'''Zanpakutō:''' Trepadora
177-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/DaisukeKishio (JP), Creator/MichaelSinterniklaas (EN), Ricardo Méndez (Latin-American Spanish)
178----
179Extremely short-lived Sexta Espada that replaced Grimmjow when his arm was destroyed by Tōsen. He is flamboyant and does not take insults well. His Zanpakutō known '''''Trepadora''''', and upon transformation it gives him multiple tentacles to attack his enemies with. After Orihime resurrects his arm, Grimmjow kills Luppi to regain his status.
180-----
181* AssholeVictim: His smug attitude and overly-flamboyant demeanor, coupled with his needless attempt at skewering Rangiku's boobs, makes his death at Grimmjow's hands pretty sweet, and nobody misses him nor shed a tear for him, not even Orihime herself.
182* AxCrazy: In ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'', Luppi is revealed to define the death aspect of destruction, much like his predecessor/successor Grimmjow. It's shown in that light novel that the differences of personality between him and Grimmjow are ultimately only skin-deep: Luppi can be every bit the destructive BloodKnight Grimmjow is.
183* BackFromTheDead: Thanks to Mayuri, he returns as a zombified Arrancar.
184* BloodFromTheMouth: Logically, after Grimmjow impales him with his restored right arm.
185* CampStraight: Despite his flamboyance, he flirts with Rangiku at one point.
186* CombatTentacles: Eight of them, and they're capable of protruding spikes, too.
187* DudeLooksLikeALady: Luppi's rather androgynous appearance can cause some confusion, especially for manga readers, on whether he's male or female if you have not heard his voice.
188* EvenEvilHasStandards: In ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'', Luppi makes it clear that he isn't fond of Tokinada Tsunayashiro's depravity and is unamused when Dordoni and Cirucci notes the similarities between the two.
189--> ''Hey, you’ve got to be joking, right? Don’t lump me in with that weirdo. I’m not opposed to sadistic stuff, but even I wouldn’t indulge in making degeneracy like that into a hobby.''
190* FauxAffablyEvil: Speaks politely, but his words are ''drowning'' in sarcasm.
191* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: After Orihime restores Grimmjow's lost arm, the latter proceeds to shove it through Luppi's torso, than vaporize the upper half of his body with a point-blank Cero.
192* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Once he gets his arm back, Grimmjow looks over at Luppi and stabs him through the chest '''with his arm'''.
193* IronicEcho: He mockingly calls Grimmjow “former No. 6” after the loss of his left arm to Tousen costs him his rank. When Orihime restores the arm, he proceeds to shove it into Luppi and bid farewell to the “former No. 6” before vaporizing his upper half with a Cero.
194* {{Sadist}}: In ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'', he states that he hoped to break Hitsugaya's mind and enjoy it. Meeting him and Rangiku again during the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc put an end to this desire due to the fact that Rangiku and Hitsugaya were zombies and thus, their minds were ''already broken''.
195* SayMyName: His last word before being [[HalfTheManHeUsedToBe obliterated]] by a restored Grimmjow is a coldly furious "''Mmpff!!...Grimmjow!!''", as he's [[BloodFromTheMouth choking on his own blood]], while [[SoreLoser delivering]] a futile DeathGlare to the former.
196* SissyVillain: Flamboyant, fruity, and exceedingly effeminate, he even tops Szayelaporro in this regard.
197* SmallNameBigEgo: Thinks he's a worthy successor to Grimmjow's rank, but is completely unaware how powerful his predecessor was.
198* SmugSnake: He enjoys intentionally insulting Grimmjow about his having lost his status as Espada, in addition to belittling his enemies, but gets defeated by them, and was killed by the same Espada he replaced.
199* TheUndead: In the manga, he's reanimated by Mayuri (with his torso almost completely intact) to battle Giselle Gewelle's zombies.
200* VillainousBreakdown: A rare, non-combat example. When he sees Orihime's RealityWarper powers, Luppi freaks the hell out in utter disbelief, and even yells at Aizen that "she's not a God!"
201* TheWorfEffect: A very rare villainous version. His power level was established after his battle with Captain Hitsugaya's advance squad. However, as soon as Grimmjow's power and strength is restored, Grimmjow one-shots him to death giving the reader a clear demonstration of just how much more dangerous for the Ichigo and the others Grimmjow is compared to Luppi.
202* TookALevelInBadass: The resurrected Luppi in ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'' is a far cry from his alive self. He learned the Gran Rey Cero and went from being casually killed by Grimmjow to actually giving him a decent fight, going as far as to force the latter to use his Resurrecíon to keep up. This is in spite of the fact that Grimmjow also TookALevelInBadass after the Arrancar Arc (though once Grimmjow enters his Resurrecíon he puts Luppi on the ropes again).

210->'''Zanpakutō:''' Giralda
211-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/KoujiIshii (JP), Creator/NeilKaplan (EN), Creator/GerardoVasquez (Latin-American Spanish)
212----
213103rd Arrancar and former Espada. He has a very goofy personality, but that changes when he decides to get his game face on.
214
215His Zanpakutō is '''''Giralda''''', and it allows him to summon cyclones from his legs.
216-----
217* AccentAdaptation: In the anime, Dordoni was given a Spanish accent to go with the GratuitousSpanish he threw around in the original.
218* BeardOfEvil: He sports a long goatee along with a thin, stylized mustache, giving him a devilish image.
219* BlowYouAway: When released he gets wind-based powers.
220* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: During his introduction, he acts like a complete goofball, tripping while attempting to make a spectacular presentation and clumsily dancing while dodging Ichigo's strikes ridiculously, and Ichigo certainly thinks he's a joke at the start of the battle, only wanting to deal with the Privaron Espada in his Shikai and reserve his full strength for the true Espadas. However, when Dordoni starts fighting seriously, he quickly overwhelms Ichigo and shows well that he wasn't a former Espada for nothing, eventually forcing Ichigo to use his Bankai and later his Hollowfication to defeat him so Nel doesn't gets injured in the battle.
221* DanceBattler: As a way to show that he's not taking the fight all too seriously, he starts off fighting as if he was a dancer. He stops after he decides to fight more seriously.
222* DevilishHairHorns: Two locks of his hair stick out of the rest, slightly resembling horns. Coupled with his beard, it makes him look like traditional depictions of the Devil.
223* TheFarmerAndTheViper: [[InvokedTrope Invokes]] this after Ichigo and Nel heals some of his wounds after their fight in an [[CruelToBeKind attempt]] to show them that showing mercy on their enemies will only screw them over in Hueco Mundo and mentally urges them to abandon their soft-heartedness if they want to survive.
224--> ''Why are you surprised? Healing the wounds of an enemy whose circumstances you don't even know means that you're prepared for a counterattack! Am I wrong?!''
225* GratuitousSpanish: Perhaps one of the worst offenders of this trope in ''Bleach''. Unlike most Arrancar, who only use Spanish for their attacks, Dordoni refers to everyone he interacts with using Spanish nouns based on their age. For example, he calls Ichigo a "''niño''" (boy), Nel a "''bebé''" (baby), Rudborn a "''jovenzuelo''" (youngster) and Giselle a "''niña''" (girl).
226* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Was a former Espada before the more powerful ones came along, eventually being demoted to the rank of Privaron. He never forgot how it [[ATasteOfPower felt]] to be one, and his main motivation to forcing Ichigo to fight him at full strength, even going so far as to [[WouldHurtAChild attack]] Nel, is because he believed that defeating him, Aizen would allow him to "stand at the top" again.
227* LargeHam: Bombastic, loud, and very expressive, and incredibly talkative all the while.
228* LaughablyEvil: Dordoni is a bombastic and hammy individual with very comical mannerism. Even when he's being serious he has his goofy moments, contrasting the less comical and more menacing Espada.
229* NobleDemon: For all the [[WouldHurtAChild extremes he's willing to cross]] [[AmbitionIsEvil in order to regain his position as an Espada]], Dordoni is ultimately a respectful warrior who holds in great regard those who show respect towards him in battle, to the point he sacrifices his life for Ichigo (while also teaching him a valuable lesson in the process) and Nel knowing fully well he doesn't stands a chance against the Exequias thanks to the wounds he got in the previous fight.
230* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He's introduced... tripping as he's tailgating Ichigo. He also claims to be "Arrancar #103", which Ichigo, unfamiliar with Privaron ranks, takes to mean he's the 103rd-strongest Arrancar in Aizen's ranks. As a result of that and his general hamminess, Ichigo doesn't take him seriously at first, but he reveals that he used to be an Espada, [[CurbStompBattle and goes to beat the shit of him]] for daring to hold back so much.
231* ObfuscatingStupidity: He acts like a total moron, then he suddenly injures Ichigo, deflects his attack and scolds him for underestimating his opponent.
232* OneWingedAngel: Courtesy of his Zanpakutō, which actually nets him a pretty good fight against Shikai Ichigo. It makes him a power-kick style Arrancar with the ability to summon large snake-bird things from his legs.
233* TheUndead: Mayuri finds his corpse in Szayelaporro's lab and reanimates him to battle Giselle's zombies.
234* UngratefulBastard: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]]. Initially, after being healed by Nel, he attempts to resume his fight with Ichigo, stating his ambition to regain his position as a Espada is too strong for him to simply leave Ichigo escape. However, after Ichigo makes way through him and leaves the room, is revealed he's in truth really grateful to him for using his full power against someone like him, and that his attempt to attack him after he healed his wounds was a [[CruelToBeKind way to make Ichigo realize that showing mercy to an enemy can bite you in the ass]], since the other Arrancars in Hueco Mundo are not as merciful as he is.
235* VerbalTic: Tends to end most of his sentences addressed at Ichigo by calling him "Niño", which is Spanish for "boy".
236* VillainsDyingGrace: Holds off the Exequias to allow Ichigo and Nel to escape.
237* WorthyOpponent: Eventually sees Ichigo as this, going so far as to [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifice]] himself to allow him and Nel to escape. Heck, part of his motivation to fighting Giselle's zombies willingly is because he was promised a chance to meet Ichigo again. His respect for Ichigo only increases in ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'' when he learns that Ichigo killed Kugo Ginjo. This means that Ichigo took his lesson to heart and became a fighter ruthless enough to kill even a fellow human if needed. He mentioned many times he's been looking forward to meet the "orange-haired niño" again often.
238--> ''Oh… If he killed a human like himself rather than Hollows like us, does this mean he left his naïveté behind? In that case, I can't call him a ''niño'' anymore.''
239* WouldHurtAChild: [[BatmanGambit He decides to attack Nel in order to force Ichigo to draw on his full power]]
240* YouShallNotPass: As a result of his gratefulness towards Ichigo for using his entire power at the time against him, he pulls this against the Exequias when they appear in the room where he fought Ichigo to kill and retrieve the Substitute Soul Reaper. He manages to fend them off for a few moments before succumbing, giving Ichigo and Nel enough time to escape safely.

248->'''Zanpakutō:''' Golondrina
249-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/HoukoKuwashima (JP), Tricia Pierce (EN), Marisol Romero (Latin-American Spanish)
250----
251105th Arrancar and former Espada. She's a rather rude and cocky sort who hates being interrupted. She fights Uryu Ishida in the lair of the Privaron Espada, and is finished off by Rudbornn for failing to defeat him.
252
253Her Zanpakutō, '''''Golondrina''''', is a disk-like weapon attached to a handle by a thin cord. When she releases it, she gains two large wings that are covered with several huge metal blades. She can launch and remotely control the detached blades. She can also drop the wings and channel reiatsu through her tail to form weapons.
254-----
255* AnimalMotifs: Swallows, as in the bird. 'Golondrina' means swallow, and her Resurreccíon gives her wings.
256* ArchEnemy: After she was resurrected by Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Cirucci quickly made it clear she wanted to settle the score with Ishida, due to him previously defeating her, and only works for Mayuri in the hopes of getting that fight.
257* BatmanGambit: During her fight with Ishida, she made it seem as though Golondrina was limited to always attacking in a straight line when thrown, and when pulled back, prompting Uryu to fire his arrows in other directions as opposed to simply in front of her. It destroyed most of the pillars as a result... which was exactly what she wanted, because he created more openings for her whippings. She could weave it around more erratically, since he wouldn't have much else left to hide.
258* ClippedWingAngel: Literally; she discards the arms, wings and feathers of her OneWingedAngel form to use her spiritual energy more efficiently, but she calls it the equivalent to severing a limb.
259* DarkActionGirl: She's quite the rude and cocky bitch, which she more than makes up with by being a fairly tough fighter, showing her Privaron Espada status is justified.
260* {{Dominatrix}}: Heavily reminiscent of the concept, right down to the whip, the haughtiness, the slight sadism, her status as TheTease slightly, the dismissive demeanor towards Ishida, and the constant TrashTalk delivered to Ishida.
261* ElegantGothicLolita: A pretty fair fighter with a ''really'' good fashion sense, apparently preferring the white-colored Gothic Lolita look, although she's much older than the typical example.
262* FacialMarkings: Purple tear drops on her cheeks.
263* {{Foreshadowing}}: A silhouette of a pair of bare legs was seen in Szayelaporro's lab after Mayuri opened the front doors. Much later on, it's revealed that she was resurrected as TheUndead by Mayuri to fight in the final battle.
264* ModestyShorts: In the anime's Arrancar Encyclopedia segments she tells Gin she has armor under her skirt just in case people look up it while she's flying.
265* MsFanservice: Comes with being a fetish magnet, but since she gets a bit embarrassed to reveal her body (in the anime), the only other Arrancar girl that's above her in this regard is Harribel.
266* ProfaneLastWords: When the Exequias come to [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness take her away]] after losing to Ishida.
267* {{Sadist}}: She seems to get off on inflicting pain. The whip should have been your first clue.
268%% * SpellMyNameWithAnS: Literally, since it used to be "Thunderwitch".
269* StockingFiller: A very unconventional one, at that. You see those purple lines on her legs? Those are her stockings, thin as they are. Those white clips on her socks and circular bands are her garters, as they somehow connect the stockings to her legs.
270* TheTease: Exhibits this behavior in two volume spreads. One where she takes off her boots and grins at the camera. The other when she wraps her whip around her legs and waist, again with the grin.
271* TheUndead: Mayuri finds her corpse in Szayelaporro's lab and reanimates her to battle Giselle's zombies.
272* {{Vibroweapon}}: The blades she attacks with in her released form.
273* VillainRespect: In ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'', Cirucci shows [[WorthyOpponent grudging respect]] towards her ArchEnemy Uryū. When she learns that Kūgo Ginjō defeated him, she's genuinely shocked at the idea of a human defeating Uryū.
274--> ''What?! You're screwing with me! There's no way that irritating four-eyes Quincy could have been killed off so easily by such a nobody!''
275* WhipOfDominance: Her Zanpakutō takes the form of a whip named [[NamedWeapons Golondrina]], befitting her {{Dominatrix}} motif with her cocky and haughty personality, sadistic streak, constant TrashTalk, and [[TheTease aggressively flirtatious demeanor]].

286107th Arrancar and former Espada. He usually takes it easy unless his opponent does give a challenge which Chad does. He was last seen being healed by Isane.
287
288His Zanpakutō, '''''Dragra''''', armors him up and gives him the ability to fire concentrated energy blasts.
289-----
290* AffablyEvil: Compared to two other Privarons, he has more honorable side.
291* AfroAsskicker: His main physical trait is a big orange afro hairdo, and in spite of this it doesn't hinders him at all while fighting, being able to move swiftly and throw powerful blows towards his opponents.
292* AntiVillain: Has no qualms about fighting Sado, but he's honorable enough to warn Chad of an attack by Nnoitra.
293* MythicalMotifs: His Zanpakutō means "Dragon Fang" and its shape resembles a giant chinese dragon.
294* PowerFist: Does him a lot of good in the first half of the fight, doesn't do shit the second half.
295* OddNameOut: His Zanpakutō is the only one whose name is neither a Spanish term nor even an obviously existing word at all.
296* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Notably the only named Arrancar who never even got so much as a single mention of his whereabouts after the Hueco Mundo arc. Tite Kubo would later reveal that he ''is'' still alive, and is the founder of a nation worshiping his "God": Barragan.

308A spider-like Arrancar and former Fracción of Szayelaporro Granz who serves as a medic, reattaching Yammy's severed arm before being killed. Resurrecting herself, she returns in ''Spirits are Forever With You'' as a servant of Cien Granz.
309----
310* AllThereInTheManual: Literally any information about her comes from the light novel spin-off ''Spirits are Forever With You'', as she was merely a background character in the original manga/anime; a nameless nurse that reattached Yammy's arm who (supposedly) died after he tested out its strength.
311* AllWebbedUp: She can create webbing made of Negación, which she can use to upload information into her surroundings, letting her create a new body in the case of her death. By the time of her death at Yammy's hands, she had done so to a vast swath of Hueco Mundo.
312* ArtificialHuman: She was an artificial Gillian created by Szayelaporro Granz to serve as a spy and means of resurrection.
313* BodyBackupDrive: She can use her powers to upload a copy of her soul and memories into her surroundings, manifest a duplicate body, and download her consciousness into it if her current body is killed.
314* DeathSeeker: Due to Szayelaporro constantly calling her useless and butchering her for his experiments, she wanted to die to escape the misery of her existence.
315* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: After Szayelaporro was killed, she was left without a purpose and wandered around the various realms until she was approached by Cien Granz,
316* TheDragon: She was Szayelaporro's Fracción prior to being dismissed, and in ''Spirits are Forever With You'' she serves under Cien Granz, the clone of her master Szayelaporro.
317* EyeObscuringHat: When paling around the World of the Living with Don Kanoji she wears a wide-brimmed hat tilted at an angle to hide her Hollow mask.
318* EvilCounterpart: As Szayelaporro was Mayuri Kurotsuchi's evil -- well, ''eviler'' -- counterpart, Roka is Nemu's counterpart; being a mostly-stoic woman used and abused by her mad scientist master.
319* HeelFaceTurn: She initially serves Cien Granz, but after befriending Don Kanoji she turns on him.
320* TheMedic: She was the Arrancar who reattached Yammy's arm after it was cut off by Ichigo.
321* MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: She turns on Cien due to his abuse of her and sacrifices herself to smite him with a Mugetsu.
322* NamedByTheAdaptation: She was an unnamed Arrancar who reattached Yammy's severed arm and got her head smashed as thanks in the manga/anime, but received much more information including a proper name in the light novel.
323* PowerCopying: Her Resurrección can be used to replicate anyone and anything she has witnessed, including others' abilities -- although her versions are less powerful than the originals. Szayelaporro had been afraid that if she learned this she would betray him, so he never revealed this detail to her. Using this power, she copies Zommari's Gemelos Sonído, Nelliel's Cero Doble, Luppi's tentacles, and Ichigo's Mugetsu.
324* PowerIncontinence: She cannot consciously control her Backup power, which renders her temporarily visible to normal humans. Using Cero Doble to absorb a Gran Rey Cero leaves her coughing up blood, and when she tries to use Ichigo's Mugetsu, her body cannot handle the massive power of the attack and weakens her severly.
325* ResurrectiveImmortality: Her special ability enables her to [[BodyBackupDrive store a copy of her consciousness into her surroundings in order to revive herself]] if she's killed -- as seen when Yammy smashes her head to test his reattached arm.
326* SpiderLimbs: Having been a spider-like Hollow, she possesses several arachnoid legs protruding from her back when she is in Resurrección.
327* TwoFaced: The right side of her face is covered by a skull-like mask, which disperses into threads when she enters her Resurrección and forms into her Zanpakutō.

337----
338Arrancar 11 and Grimmjow's Fracción. He first appears with Grimmjow and Di Roy, as one of the twenty Arrancars present when Ulquiorra gave his report to Aizen over Ichigo's development. Agreeing with Grimmjow that Ichigo should've died before he grew powerful enough to oppose them, Shawlong and Grimmjow led an unauthorized mission to kill anyone with even the slightest amount of spirit energy. Shawlong and Nakeem headed over to Orihime Inoue's house; they confronted Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto. He was killed by Hitsugaya.
339
340In his backstory, he was an Adjuchas that led a group of Hollows in a quest to become Vasto Lordes, namely Edrad Liones, Yylfordt Granz, Nakeem Grindina and Di Roy Rinker. One day, they stumbled across a tiny Adjuchas whom they attempted to hunt, but his retaliation caused several of them to be "eaten." Shawlong, recognizing Grimmjow's strength, invited him to join the group as their "king," a fellowship of Adjuchas to become Vasto Lorde-class Menos. However, when it became clear that they couldn't evolve any further, they asked Grimmjow to eat a part of each of them, so they wouldn't regress back into Gillians.
341
342His Zanpakutō, '''''Tijireta''''', gives him an earwig motif with razor-sharp claws.
343----
344* BigCreepyCrawlies: 'Tijireta' means earwig. His Resurreccíon is earwig-themed, and his form when he was still Adjuchas-class Hollow is a humanoid earwig. It comes with CreepyLongFingers capable of nearly cutting (a [[PowerLimiter restrained]]) Hitsugaya to death.
345* BloodKnight: He admits he enjoys the prospect of having to fight a captain, leading to a PsychoticSmirk.
346* CombatPragmatist: He fully believes that Ichigo should be killed before he becomes a problem, a sentiment he shared with Grimmjow.
347* TheDragon: Unlike other Fracciones, where everyone seems to hold the same rank, Shawlong appears to Grimmjow's second in command as well as his strongest subordinate. Both as Hollows and Arrancar he was the one who interacted the most with Grimmjow out of his followers, and appeared to be the one closest to him.
348* LiterallyShatteredLives: Nearly identically to Di Roy. As soon as Hitsugaya encases him within an ice sculpture, it breaks into thousands of little pieces, with Shawlong following suit.
349* OhCrap: When Nakeem and Yylfordt die, he flashes one before attempting to retreat.
350* PerpetualFrowner: Under most circumstances, he never really changes his expression. Only when he learns that he's fighting a captain and when he realizes he's lost does his face change at all.
351* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: After Edrad, Yylfordt and Nakeem all die, he runs for the hills.
352* SkeletonsInTheCoatCloset: While all Arrancars have bone-like released forms, Shawlong's "Tijereta" fits especially.
353* SoftSpokenSadist: He's polite, well-mannered, and very calm while slicing apart Hitsugaya's body.
354* SpeedBlitz: When he released Tijereta, Hitsugaya couldn't even react when Shawlong diagonally slashes through his shoulder to his waist.
355* TheStoic: He's incredibly calm, particularly compared to the talkative Yylfordt, cocky Di Roy, sadistic Grimmjow, and battle-hungry Edrad.
356* UnderestimatingBadassery: He assumes that Hitsugaya is fighting at full strength when he's actually under a massive limiter.
357* WolverineClaws: Turns his fingers into extremely sharp claws after releasing his Zanpakutō.
358* YouCantFightFate: He abandoned his quest to become a Vasto Lorde after eating thousands of hollows and not advancing, believing it was some predetermined factor that was decided long before he became Hollows. The sentiment was shared by Di Roy, Nakeem, Yylfordt and Edrad.[[/folder]]

368Arrancar 13 and Grimmjow's Fracción. Edrad is a member of Grimmjow's Fracción who participates in attacking Karakura Town without Aizen's permission.
369
370He wields '''''Volcanicá''''', which lets him upgrade his physical abilities with fire.
371----
372* AffablyEvil: While very much dismissive and vicious like any other Arrancar, Edrad actually adopts Ikkaku's views of honor and respect, and dies smiling, content with what he learned from his enemy. He also finds the BloodKnight philosophy, to fight for sport, [[EvenEvilHasStandards to be disturbing]].
373* AnimeHair: Even in this series, he has an incredibly bizarre hair style, which includes a spikey and long red half on his left with a butch-styled black half on his right.
374* CharacterDevelopment: Hard to imagine, sure, but when the first started, he doesn't think of Ikkaku (a 3rd Seat) as a threat, and refuses to introduce himself because of that. Ikkaku claims that introductions are a last courtesy for the person that you're about to kill. Later into the fight, Edrad revealed his full name to Ikkaku, and just before he dies, he admits that he's glad Ikkaku revealed his name to him.
375* CombatPragmatist: When Ikkaku sees Keigo Asano, Edrad takes the time to punch Ikkaku through a wall.
376* EvenEvilHasStandards: Edrad is deeply disturbed upon realising [[BloodKnight Ikkaku's motive for fighting is just to have fun]] and that that his style is to throw away skill in favour of fighting on luck alone.
377* ExplainingYourPowerToTheEnemy: He's the one that explained how Hierro works, and revealed how Arrancar go OneWingedAngel.
378* GeniusBruiser: He looks large, imposing and brutish but he's also pretty clever, since he figures out Ikkaku's fighting style after a brief clash.
379* GoodOldFisticuffs: Uses them against Ikkaku, particularly in his OneWingedAngel form.
380* GracefulLoser: Just before he died, he admitted that he was glad that he knew the name of the man who killed him.
381* MortalWoundReveal: His final clash with Ikkaku creates an explosion. Ikkaku finds his Bankai broken and collapses, but when the dust settles, Edrad is shown missing a good chunk of his torso, meaning Ikkaku won after all.
382* PlayingWithFire: Volcanicá grants him this ability to immolate his fists.
383* PowerFist: Volcano-powered fists, at that.
384* SmugSuper: Refuses to reveal his name to what he thought was a RedShirt. Unlike most, he grows out of this mindset by the end of his fight with Ikkaku.
385* SpellMyNameWithAnS: He's either "Edrad Liones" or "Edorad Leones".
386* TorsoWithAView: Hollow hole aside, Ikkaku kills Edrad by ''tearing off the flesh'' from the right side of his stomach.
387* WorthyOpponent: He acknowledges Ikkaku as one in the end.

395----
396Arrancar 14 and Grimmjow's Fracción. The largest and fattest member of Grimmjow's Fracción. He rarely ever speaks, preferring to silently stand around, observing what the others do. Participating in the first assault on Karakura Town, he faced Rangiku Matsumoto, and appeared to defeat her without any damage done to either one. However, that was a ruse - she was calling for the PowerLimiter to get lifted, so she could fight him better, and successfully killed him with her Zanpakutō.
397----
398* DiesWideOpen: The last shot that we see of him in the anime is his eyes being wide open as the blood pours out of his chest, courtesy of Rangiku Matsumoto.
399* DumbMuscle: No, Nakeem. ''One kick'' isn't enough to defeat a lieutenant. He also neglected to finish her off after that off-screen CurbStompBattle, even though she was completely unharmed.
400* ExplainingYourPowerToTheEnemy: He explains the Arrancar speed movement is called Sonído which is enough for Rangiku to work out it's barely any different to Shunpo, except for the sound it makes. Her skill at Shunpo is far superior to his skill at Sonído so she defeats him easily.
401* GiantMook: Big and somewhat tough looking, but just a mook when you get down to it. Once the limiter was gone, he quickly dies from a single slash to his shoulder.
402* IGotBigger: Odd example. After he "defeats" Matsumoto, Nakeem appears to have grown ''much'' larger than the other times we saw him.
403* PerpetualFrowner: His face is a perpetual scowl.
404* SpeedBlitz: Tried it on Rangiku, but she [[FlashStep counters]] by using it on him instead.
405* TheStoic: He's always calm, with a scowl on his face at all times. The only time he changes expression is when he dies.
406* TheQuietOne: Nakeem only ever spoke once (in the manga) or twice (in the anime).

416----
417Arrancar 15, Grimmjow's Fracción and the older brother of Szayelaporro. A tall, blond-haired man with an effeminate face, Yylfordt joins Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in attacking Karakura Town without authorization.
418
419His Zanpakutō, '''''Del Toro''''', transforms him into a bull with enhanced physical strength.
420----
421* BarehandedBladeBlock: When he looked over to Di Roy's location after the latter was killed, Yylfordt effortlessly blocks Renji's Bankai without suffering a scratch.
422
423* CatchPhrase: He says "brother" more times than Wrestling/HulkHogan. This is intended to foreshadow his younger brother, [[MadScientist Szayelapporo]], being an antagonist. You can't blame him for wanting to give that position to literally anyone else.
424* ChekhovsGunman: Szayelaporro planted spycam insects within Yylfordt. These insects record everything that he saw, which is what Szayelaporro used to analyze Abarai's Bankai and figure out how to counter it. It sets up the later reveal that Mayuri's done exactly the same to Ishida, allowing him to analyze Szayelaporro before ever meeting him.
425* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: When he goes OneWingedAngel, he effortlessly stabs through Renji and ''Ururu''.
426* {{Jerkass}}: Slicing Renji apart in addition to taunting him for the duration of their fight.
427* LiteralSplitPersonality: Of a sort. As revealed in his and Szayelapporo's backstory, Ylfordt was eaten by his Hollowfied brother, only to later be split off as a separate Hollow for the sake of "evolution".
428* OurMinotaursAreDifferent: His released form, ''Del Toro'', greatly enlarges his upper body and coats it in bone white armor, with massive shoulders and a horned helmet that's reminiscent of a bull's head. In this form, he starts walking on four legs, and his method of attacking involves skewering his opponents with his horns.
429* PrettyBoy: The most effeminate of the group under Grimmjow.
430* TalkingIsAFreeAction: Especially when your skin is hard enough to block a sword from slicing you.
431* TheReveal: The ''Spirits are Forever With You'' light novel reveals that Yylfordt had once been a bloodthirsty soldier in the employ of his younger brother Szayelaporro, who had been a sadistic alchemist. Szayelaporro was killed by the Hollow manifested from the souls of those he'd killed, Hollowfied himself, and ate both the Hollow who'd killed him and his own brother. Szayelaporro eventually became one of the most powerful Vasto Lorde in Hueco Mundo, but eventually regurgitated Yylfordt as a separate Arrancar due to deeming his BloodKnight tendencies as detrimental to his vision of perfection.
432* WouldHurtAChild: Especially if the kid hits him first.

441Arrancar 16 and Grimmjow's Fracción. Originally appeared ''way'' earlier as the guy scolding Grand Fisher for losing to Ichigo. He later shows up as one of the twenty Arrancars present when Yammy and Ulquiorra reported back to Aizen over Ichigo's development. He participates in Grimmjow's unauthorized assault in Karakura Town.
442----
443* AintTooProudToBeg: Apparently needed to do so in order to join Grimmjow's assault.
444* BarehandedBladeBlock: He blocks Rukia's sealed Zanpakutō with his bare hand.
445* BoisterousWeakling: After almost killing Sado and blocking Rukia's unsealed sword, he appears to be very dangerous. However, he's defeated the moment Rukia releases her power. Upon realizing he's dead, his companions dismiss him as a weakling who, despite insisting on joining the invasion team, couldn't put his money where his mouth was.
446* ChekhovsGunman: He first official appearance is in Chapter 199 when Grimmjow invades the living world. However, his first appearance is actually in Chapter 25. He was watching Grand Fisher getting transformed into an Arrancar, and scolded him for losing to Ichigo.
447* CombatPragmatist: He makes sure to catch Sado with a SpeedBlitz and Rukia off-guard when she's talking to Ichigo.
448* EyeBeams: He fires his Cero by pulling off the bandage that conceals his right eye, but he wasn't able to use it quick enough.
449* TheFriendNobodyLikes: None of his comrades ever seemed to like him. Hell, they even took the time to talk trash about him after he died.
450* GoodScarsEvilScars: Grimmjow gave him a permanent one when they were still Hollows. That bandage on his helmet was meant to cover up a wound that would never heal.
451* IrritationIsTheSincerestFormOfFlattery: He wears an open bolero to display his (lack of) abs just like Grimmjow does, but Grimmjow has nothing but disdain for him and wasn't even going to bring him along had he not begged.
452* LiterallyShatteredLives: Rukia froze the water in the air around D Roy, freezing ''him'' solid as a result. The ice cracks and dissolves, killing D Roy in the process.
453* ScaryTeeth: He's got metallic dentures.
454* ASinisterClue: D Roy is left-handed and evil.
455* SmallNameBigEgo: To an extent. He claims that fighting in the air is his specialty, even though ''almost everyone else'' can fight in the air.
456* SnakePeople: His Hollow form and initial Arrancar form both have serpentine lower bodies.
457* SpeedBlitz: So fast he nearly murdered Sado before he could even look at him properly.
458* SpellMyNameWithAnS: While the ''MASKED'' datebook spells his last name as "Rinker", but other translations have called him "D Roy Linker", Dee Roy Linker", etc.
459* TalkingIsAFreeAction: Subverts this trope when he suddenly attacks Rukia after initially letting her and Ichigo have their exposition chat about how she got her Shinigami powers back.

467----
468Arrancar 17. He originally showed up as the guy who turned Grand Fisher into an Arrancar. Re-appeared with Demoura as the guards of an underground passageway to Las Noches. Unlike most Arrancars, Aisslinger fused with his Zanpakutō, hence why his appearance is more Hollow-like than humanoid.
469----
470* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: His central belief is that strength is power and power is authority, and it is the reason he follows Aizen.
471* BecomeYourWeapon: Aisslinger fused with his Zanpakutō instead of sealing his Hollow form into it.
472* BirdPeople: Due to being an imperfect Arrancar, Aisslinger is much more avian than he is human.
473* ChekhovsGunman: In the manga, Aisslinger was the one that turned Grand Fisher into an Arrancar.
474* CoolMask: Aisslinger has one Badass-looking helmet, right there.
475* MoreDakka: Aisslinger moves all of his arms out diagonally from his body, and extends his fingers out in the same manner, shooting blasts of energy from each of his fingertips at Ishida. He claimed to fire [[Mystical108 108]] at once, but they were overwhelmed by the 1,200 arrows from Ginrei Kojaku.
476* ImperialStormtrooperMarksmanshipAcademy: Aisslinger can fire over a hundred blasts of energy at once, not a single one of which is able to hit a moving target. Clearly he values power over skill despite his supposed intelligence.
477* InSeriesNickname: Demoura calls him "Aiss".
478* LoadBearingBoss: When both Aisslinger and Demoura are defeated, the passageway collapses, killing them both.
479* RedOniBlueOni: Aisslinger is the calmer and analytical Blue Oni. Demoura is the dumber and instinct-driven Red Oni.
480* SmallNameBigEgo: Aisslinger thought of himself as an EvilGenius, confident in his firing ability being more than enough to overwhelm Ishida. Put bluntly, he was wrong.
481* SoLastSeason: He pulls out a second pair of arms to Worf Barrage Uryū, only for the latter to reveal he's upgraded his Quincy powers far beyond Aisslinger's current level.
482* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Aisslinger resents having to work with [[DumbMuscle Demoura]].
483* TheWorfBarrage: His Una Terotear, which he claimed was his greatest weapon. Turns out, 108 blasts of energy didn't do much against 1,200 energy arrows.

493-----
494%% * AnimalMotifs: He resembles a worm due to being an imperfect Arrancar.
495* AppliedPhlebotinum: Demoura gathers Reishi through his hands, enhancing his punches enough that it breaks the pavement rather profoundly.
496* DumbMuscle: Demoura is none too bright, which is evident in his speech pattern, but he's smart enough to use AppliedPhlebotinum against Sado.
497* FaceFramedInShadow: When he first appeared, chasing Ichigo, Sado and Ishida through a narrow hallway.
498* FacialMarkings: Demoura has enlarged purple tribal tattoos down his cheeks.
499* LoadBearingBoss: When both Aisslinger and Demoura are defeated, the passageway collapses, killing them both.
500* OverlyLongTongue: He actually weaponizes it, via enlarging it in a manner similar to Gin Ichimaru's Shinso. He uses it on Chad, who just... punches it.
501* RedOniBlueOni: Demoura is the more HotBlooded Red Oni to Aisslinger's more rational Blue Oni.
502* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Demoura doesn't like having to work with a guy that keeps calling him stupid.
503* TheWorfBarrage: Demoura had his long tongue. Boasted about it as his best weapon. Didn't mean anything against Chad.

513----
514Arrancar 20 and Baraggan's Fracción. Chuhlhourne is a large, bulky and muscular Arrancar who announces himself as Baraggan's Number One Fracción. His mannerisms and dress style border on those of a stereotypical DragQueen.
515
516He wields '''''Reina de Rosas''''', which upgrades his physical capabilities, and lets him use flashy - but impractical - attacks.
517----
518* AdaptationExpansion: His fight with Yumichika lasts longer in the anime.
519* AffablyEvil: He's odd as hell, but he has a better moral compass than his comrades.
520* BewareTheSillyOnes: He's hammy, vain, ridiculous, a total narcissist... but he ''is'' genuinely powerful and it took Yumichika quite the effort to find his weak spot.
521* CallingYourAttacks: This is parodied by Chuhlhourne's attack names being at least twelve words long. The anime parodies this further by giving him an [[AdaptationExpansion extra attack call]] and having him bite his tongue in the middle of saying it. Another one of his attacks Yumichika easily dodges because of how telegraphed it is.
522* CampyCombat: A drag queen with long purple hair and shimmering eyes. He's obsessed with beauty and very vain, with his Resurreccíon giving him a crop top and pink cape, and letting him form heart-shaped beams and a white rose bush that cuts himself and his enemy off from the rest of the world.
523* CloseCallHaircut: Yumichika deliberately cuts off part of Chuhlhourne's hair. Being extremely proud of his long hair, Chuhlhourne explodes with rage and immediately enters Resurreccíon - which is exactly the reaction Yumichika wants.
524* DragQueen: As a MagicalGirl parody, his Resurreccíon has him as a cross-dresser despite being a burly and muscular bodybuilder.
525* EvilCounterpart: He's far more flamboyant than Yumichika. However, he believes beauty comes from strength in a way that would actually support the 11th division's battle philosophy. Yumichika ends up revealing that he's not a huge fan of that kind of philosophy and that he believes beauty is best expressed at the moment of death or victory.
526* TheFightingNarcissist: He's in love with himself and believes beauty equals strength. He is immensely strong and fast and therefore believes his beauty is incomparable. He is one of the toughest Arrancar fought by the Gotei 13, beating Yumichika to a pulp according to the 11th division's own style and philosophy of fighting before [[AlmightyJanitor Yumichika]] is given the [[WillfullyWeak opportunity]] to activate his [[CoverblowingSuperpower Zanpakutō]] and defeat him according to a different, [[HiddenDepths secret]] philosophy. When he is resurrected during the second Vandenreich invasion, he effortlessly defeats Bambietta.
527* FlowerMotif: According to him, his Resurreccíon outfit is meant to resemble a rose.
528* GracefulLoser: For all of his hamminess and vanity, Chuhlhourne is rather calm when he dies. Even his last words were a [[WorthyOpponent compliment]] to his rival's strength.
529* HamToHamCombat: The first half of his fight with Yumichika consists of the two shouting insults at each other while crossing swords. This stops after the fight undergoes a MoodWhiplash.
530* LargeHam: A very flamboyant character with camp mannerisms reminiscent of a DragQueen, Chuhlhourne loves destroying the scenery to bits when the focus is on him. Even as he is resurrected by Mayuri Kurotsuchi to fight Giselle Gewelle and her zombies, he's still far more lively than the other three Arrancar.
531* LastNameBasis: He is one of the few Arrancars who are called by their last name all the time.
532* MachoCamp: His feminine behavior and outfits are offset by his rugged, muscular body.
533* MagicalGirl: He's a deliberate parody, to the point that his Resurreccíon resembles a ''Anime/SailorMoon'' transformation. With a frilly, pink tutu that revealed too much [[FanDisservice masculine hair]], Yumichika's reaction was a combination of "[[BrainBleach Oh, God; my eyes!]]" and [[LaughablyEvil uncontrollable laughter]].
534* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Chuhlhourne has no idea that Yumichika refuses to release his true power in battle because he doesn't want to reveal that power to his colleagues. When Chuhlhourne unleashes his FinishingMove, it encases them both in a supernatural rose bush that's designed to drain Yumichika's life-force. The rose bush has a secondary effect of completely isolating Yumichika from the rest of the battlefield so that no-one will see or sense him die. As a result, Yumichika is finally given the opportunity to unleash his true power while protecting his secret. Chuhlhourne is instantly one-shotted.
535* TheNoseKnows: Chuhlhourne takes a big sniff of the air then tells Giselle his instincts compel him to fight her because she resembles him (a DragQueen) a lot, meaning he's reached the same conclusion as Yumichika and in the same way. Though Giselle denies that as she's a transgender woman and not a drag queen.
536* SomethingAboutARose: His deadliest attack, "Rosa Blanca" ("white rose" in Spanish) involves roses and their thorns.
537* TheUndead: He's reanimated by Mayuri to battle Giselle's zombies. In ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'', he actually quite enjoys his status under Mayuri -- his Arrancar colleagues, less so.
538* ThisIsUnforgivable: When Yumichika cuts his hair, he goes so mad that he releases his Zanpakutō.
539* WorthyOpponent: Recognizes Yumichika as one just before his death.

550
551He wields '''''Águila''''', which transforms him into a bird with steel wings capable of mowing enemies down.
552----
553* AchillesHeel: His steel feathers also become his downfall when Kira finally releases his own power to ground him.
554* AintTooProudToBeg: He asks for mercy just before Kira decapitates him. Kira calls him out on it just before he dies.
555* BloodKnight: He really loves fighting, to the point where he spends his entire introduction screaming about what he'll do to Kira as a way to psyche himself. When he loses, Kira [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech makes sure to deride him for it]].
556* BloodUpgrade: Abirama gets stronger by cutting himself. He also grow an extra pair of wings.
557* BoisterousBruiser: Bombastic and battle-hungry to a fault,
558* CombatPragmatist: As soon as he gets cut, he releases his Zanpakutō, signifying that he will fight all out right from the start - in stark contrast to nearly every other Arrancar in this series.
559* FeatheredFiend: His OneWingedAngel form transforms him into an enormous red eagle.
560* FeatherFlechettes: One of his abilities after he uses AlÁguila involves throwing sharpened feathers from his wings at his enemy. His feathers are said to be "made of steel", making them deadly projectiles.
561* FlechetteStorm: This is the only real offensive ability he uses against Kira; he throws barrage after barrage of steel feathers, which can destroy concrete stone and steel.
562* LargeHam: His idea of a battle preparation includes screaming on the top of his lungs just to psyche himself up, and he even tells Kira to do the same, to which the latter obviously declines.
563* OffWithHisHead: He points out how Kira's U-shaped sword is fairly impractical. Once he falls under Wabisuke's gravity-strengthening ability, Kira hooks Abirama's neck with the U-shaped blade and cleaves his head off. The anime even includes a silhouette where his head falls to the floor and rolls around the ground briefly.
564* SmallNameBigEgo: Calls himself Baraggan's best Fracción, but he's too focused on destroying things and pays little attention to strategy. Kira easily defeats him.
565* WalkingShirtlessScene: He's always seen without a shirt, which exposes his fairly well-toned six-pack. He even keeps the lack of a shirt in Resurreccíon, but it's justified since he has a PowerTattoo on his stomach that allows him to upgrade his Aguila form.
566* WindFromBeneathMyWings: How he fights after releasing Aguila, which he uses to power his FlechetteStorm against Kira.

577Arrancar 24 and Baraggan's Fracción. He first appears when Baraggan shows up in the real world with Starrk and Harribel.
578
579His Zanpakutō is known as '''''Pinza Aguda''''', and it transforms his right arm into an enormous lobster claw capable of firing immensely pressurized blasts of water and steam.
580----
581* AdaptationalBadass: In the anime, his attacks are more destructive than in the manga, he gives Hisagi a much harder time, and instead of fleeing at the end of his fight, he attempts to end it with an extremely powerful Cero.
582* AdaptationExpansion: Like all the pillar battles, this one is extended in the anime. This one is notable for its rather impressively fluid animation and choreography.
583* BladeBelowTheShoulder: In his unreleased state, he has small wrist blades that go over the back of his hands. He doesn't use them much for stabbing, however, but to chip away at his PowerLimiter mask.
584* BloodKnight: Despite coming off rather gentlemanly, if arrogant, at first, he's quite eager to fight Hisagi and even laughs maniacally at several points.
585* CatchPhrase: Whenever Hisagi guesses something correctly about his power, Findorr yells out "Exacta!" He says it so many times that Hisagi actually calls him out on it.
586* ChewingTheScenery: In the anime, when he was DefiantToTheEnd, he '''[[VillainousBreakdown screams at the top of his lungs]]''' to emphasize how totally off his rocker he became at the prospect of dying to someone he thought was weaker.
587* CloseCallHaircut: Got one when Hisagi first uses Kazeshini on him. In the anime, he even stops to grab his hair and watch as strands slowly fall to the ground.
588* DefiantToTheEnd: The anime has Findorr use a Cero in a last-ditch attempt to kill Hisagi. Didn't work.
589* DirtyCoward: In the manga, he hauled ass as soon as it became clear that Hisagi could not be defeated. He was [[InTheBack quickly killed]] afterward.
590* GiantEnemyCrab: His Resurreccíon gives him a large crab claw from which he can fire highly destructive condensed water blasts and his Ceros.
591* GoryDiscretionShot: In the anime, when Hisagi slices through Findorr's head, there's a silhouette keeping the details from the camera.
592* {{Hypocrite}}: When Hisagi admits that he's afraid of his own power, Findorr takes offense and calls it "narcissistic drivel", ignoring the fact that he himself had been proudly lording his strength over Hisagi for pretty much the entire fight.
593* MakingASplash: Findorr gains this ability in Resurreccíon. He can spray water with enough force to disintegrate concrete.
594* PowerLimiter: Findorr's mask acts as one. His power increases the more it is chipped away and quickly rises from around a 5th seat to Lieutenant level. Sadly for him, not even breaking the rest of his mask for a last-minute power up was enough to take out Hisagi.
595* PowerPincers: Has a giant pincer on his right arm in his Resurreccíon form and a smaller one on his left hand.
596* PrettyBoy: He's pretty effeminate and delicate, contrasting most of his Fracción (who are either ugly, odd, or more masculine), and his Espada (who is old).
597* RoyalRapier: Before releasing, his Zanpakutō looks like this. Rather fitting considering his attitude is like a stuck-up noble.
598* SmallNameBigEgo: After breaking the final piece of his mask, he boasts that his power is now comparable to that of a Captain. Hisagi quickly proves him wrong by slicing off a good portion of his giant claw, and chides him for believing so just after Findorr's death.
599* SwordBeam: When unreleased, he fires his Ceros from the tip of his rapier and rapidly swings it to launch his Balas.

611
612He wields '''''Calderón''''', a tiny Zanpakutō that transforms him into [[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever an enormous whale-like beast towering over even sky scrapers]].
613----
614* AdaptationExpansion: His fight with Komamura is extended in the anime, including how the battle ends. In the manga, Poww charges a Cero only to lose his nerve in the face of seeing Komamura's Bankai and tries to attack Komamura himself while demanding to know his name, only to be told "just an insect" before the Bankai [[CurbStompBattle crushes him in one swing]]. In the anime, Poww [[CurbStompCushion actually puts up a fight]] against the Bankai: shooting it with a Cero only to have it deflected, punching it only to be blocked and countered, and finally grappling and trying to shoot it with another Cero before it forces the Cero back down his throat and the blast detonates inside him. The badly wounded Poww finally asks for Komamura's name in disbelief as Komamura gives the same answer and cuts him down.
615* AnimalMotifs: Poww is essentially a monstrous whale that masquerades as a humanoid. In Resurreccíon he becomes monstrously large (not that he wasn't already) and gains a throat like a baleen whale.
616* ArrogantKungFuGuy: Attacking a captain wasn't a smart move, Poww. Yes, yes, we know you have a powerful punch, but we repeat - ''you do not attack a captain, ever!''
617* ClippedWingAngel: Poww's Calderon causes him quite a bit of discomfort, as his body apparently feels very heavy and hard to move in.
618* IronicEcho: He called Komamura an insect during their fight. Just before Poww dies, overwhelmed by his opponent’s Bankai, he asks his name, and Komamura replies that he's "Just an insect."
619* {{Jerkass}}: Badmouths Ikkaku and Komamura for their appearances.
620* LazyBum: As a consequence of releasing Calderon, he's slow, he's heavy, he's large, and as a result, he lacks any real sense of will or drive to do much. He even activates his Cero by ''yawning''.
621* MightyGlacier: When he releases Calderon, he grows much slower. However, he's so large that his giant stride length means he doesn't have to move around much to keep up with the much smaller Soul Reapers that are trying to run away from him.
622* OhCrap: Right before Komamura crushes him with his Bankai.
623* TheStoic: One of the more jarring instances. He's very calm and collected (although slightly prone to mockery), but when he releases Calderón, he becomes more talkative, much lazier, and even more arrogant.
624* PowerFist: Punched Komamura, sending him flying across the city.

636
637He wields '''''Tigre Estoque''''', a Zanpakutō that grants him a saber-tooth tiger motif with enhanced physical skills.
638----
639* AdaptationExpansion: There's an entire episode dedicated to Ggio out-maneuvering Soifon in their fight after he goes OneWingedAngel.
640* AnimalMotifs: His powers are tiger-named, he has tiger stripes and his mask includes the fangs of a sabre-tooth cat of indeterminate species.
641* ArrogantKungFuGuy: You shouldn't have attacked a captain who has a two-hit-kill. Yeah, you had her on the ropes, but she was deliberately holding back so she could gauge your strength. Instead of dicking around, you should have finished her off sooner.
642* BallisticBone: He shoots the sabre-teeth from his helmet as projectiles.
643* BladeBelowTheShoulder: His released state comes with two blades attached to his wrists, both of which lack a tip like his Zanpakutō.
644* ClippedWingAngel: Vega's powered up form of Tigre Estoque sacrifices mobility for strength, which allowed Soifon to kill him.
645* EvilCounterpart:
646** To Suì-Fēng. They differ largely in that Vega is cockier, louder and indifferent towards his comrades.
647** He's also similar to Yoruichi due to his feline motif and ability to match Suì-Fēng in combat.
648* FriendlyFire: One of his strikes on Suì-Fēng sends her crashing into Nirgge's head and inadvertently saving Ōmaeda. In the manga, this actually ''kills'' Nirgge, though in the anime Nirgge is just hurt.
649* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Using "Tigre Estoque El Sable" really screwed him over. As soon as he [[HulkingOut Hulks Out]], Suì-Fēng uses the opportunity to SpeedBlitz him to death, without him even realizing it until she points it out.
650* PrettyBoy: He's rather small and somewhat effeminate looking.
651* SpeedBlitz: Even Suì-Fēng is surprised at how quick he gets. He gets blitzed right back when she decides to actually fight him seriously.
652* TransformationIsAFreeAction: Averted. After Suì-Fēng suggests that he probably won't be able to follow her movements when she assassinates him, he angrily transforms into his El Sable form. By the time he's done, Soifon [[YouAreAlreadyDead has already stabbed him twice in the same spot with her Shikai]], becoming its only canon victim.

665----
666* AdaptationExpansion: His fight with Ōmaeda is expanded in the anime, to the point where Ōmaeda killed him instead of Ggio unintentionally doing so.
667* AffablyEvil: He's a lot calmer and more patient than Ōmaeda, but he's still a {{Jerkass}}.
668* ClippedWingAngel: Nirgge's Mamut slows him down, but he doesn't regard it as much of a problem because he presumes that someone as fat as Omaeda won't be moving fast either. [[{{Acrofatic}} Quite the surprise he received]]...
669* DirtyOldMan: He admits that he would've preferred to fight Rangiku instead of Ōmaeda.
670* EvilCounterpart: To Ōmaeda. Both are overweight, arrogant and lack any special abilities outside of raw power.
671* HypocriticalHumor: He insults Ōmaeda's weight, despite having an even larger girth than him.
672* {{Jerkass}}: Insults Ōmaeda's weight for no reason other than to piss him off.

681-->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/HanaTakeda (JP), Creator/ColleenOShaughnessey (EN), Betsabé Jara (Latin-American Spanish)
682----
683Arrancar 33, Loly is one of Aizen's direct aides, and she's really, ''really'' fixated on her boss. She's infamous for her ''vicious'' treatment of Orihime over rather petty reasons, but she always gets hit by karma following that.
684
685Loly's Zanpakutō is '''''Escolopendra''''', a sword that transforms her into a centipede with acid and poison-based abilities.
686-----
687* AdaptationalHeroism: She actually protects Orihime from Yammy in the anime, even when she clearly has no chance against him. Even if it's [[TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou because she can't stand the thought of someone else doing Orihime in]], it's still a braver and borderline heroic thing than she ever did in the manga.
688* AllThereInTheManual: The post war novels reveal that she and Menoly joined Rudbornn and Orihime and liberated Hueco Mundo from the Jagdarmee, fighting several guerilla wars.
689* AnArmAndALeg: Her leg gets ripped off, courtesy of Grimmjow. (The anime removes it)
690* AxCrazy: A rare, non-combat related example, as she turns violent, sadistic, and incredibly brutal based purely on ''[[EvilIsPetty jealousy]]''.
691* ButtMonkey: Any time she fights someone who can actually fight back, expect her to get [[CurbStompBattle swiftly taken out with no contest]].
692* CreepyCentipedes. Escolopendra turns her into a giant centipede. ''Scolopendra'' is a genus of centipedes of the family Scolopendridae.
693* ClingyJealousGirl: Her vehement dislike of Orihime, and insistence that she's Aizen's aide, makes her come across as a schoolgirl with a one-sided crush on her boss, and one that finds even the slightest interest he displays towards another woman to be a slight upon her very being.
694* CuteMonsterGirl: She's the only one of the two to go OneWingedAngel.
695* DarkActionGirl: Even amongst the Arrancar, she's incredibly violent and cruel, bordering on sadistic, and for a very petty, jealously-driven reason at that.
696* DepravedBisexual: She has a pretty obvious crush on Aizen but also has no problem with gleefully threatening to defile Orihime.
697* DefiantToTheEnd: Particularly in the anime, when Yammy brutalizes her for no real reason, and he holds her over an open window, she refuses to back down and calls him a scumbag, ''twice''.
698* DegradedBoss: While never in a high position in Aizen's army, following the Quincy invasion Rudbornn more or less recruited her and Menoly into the Exequias, much to her dismay.
699* DidntThinkThisThrough: Her attacks on Orihime are this, if Aizen [[spoiler: actually needed Orihime for his plan,]] she would have derailed everything Aizen had planned, and given how casually disposable he treats actually powerful subordinates, she would have been in for a rough time.
700* DisproportionateRetribution: Aizen dismisses you from his presence so he could show Orihime the Hōgyoku. [[SarcasmMode Let's beat her to a pulp!]]
701* DistaffCounterpart: A blackhaired Arrancar with a horrible personality. Wears an eye-patch over a missing left eye. Is associated with the sin of envy. Is cruel and enjoys tormenting others. Is physically abusive towards the one person (and a blonde at that) who's actually close to them but will show they care for that person when the chips are down. Once threatened to defile Orihime and has several NoSenseOfPersonalSpace moments with her. Once beat-up a weaker opponent, who couldn't fight back. Has an antagonistic relationship with Grimmjow. Is completely obsessed with another woman. Partly because of differing opinions regarding the lives Hollows live, partly because of an InferioritySuperiorityComplex. Can transform into an insect and has a companion with short brown hair, who is much nicer and has an eye-patch over the right eye and who brings out a nicer side. Is also stubborn, tends to get into fights rather easily, regardless of whether they can be won and is DefiantToTheEnd. Is this Loly or Nnoitra?
702* DontYouDarePityMe: In the anime, Orihime tries to help her after Yammy picks her up, but she screams at Orihime to keep away.
703* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Loly is a horrendous bitch, but she seems to legitimately care about her partner; Loly freaks out when Menoly has to pay the price for ''her'' plans.
704* EyepatchOfPower: Her hollow mask is over the left eye.
705* GirlishPigtails: They [[{{Fanservice}} look nice on her]], sure, but they serve to highlight how immature she is compared to Menoly.
706* GreenEyedMonster: Loly is able to commit heinous crimes soley based on jealousy. At first it was because of Aizen's interest in Orihime, but as her obsession with Orihime grows beyond mere jealousy, and Loly gets reminded just how low on the food chain she really is, she begins to feel intense hatred both at those who are stronger/better than her and as herself, because of how weak she is and that she begins to envy the strong.
707* HateSink: Loly is a petty, vain, cruel, spiteful bitch with little to no likable qualties. One of the first things she does onscreen is assault Orihime for taking Aizen's attention away from her, and then she has the gall to call her a "monster" for ''saving'' her after Grimmjow beats her to a bloody pulp.
708* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: Much of Loly's horrible behavior is based on the fact that she knows how weak she is compared to most people around. Her crippling self-esteem makes her obsession and hatred with Orihime grow worse and later she develops hatred for anyone stronger than her, especially Grimmjow.
709* {{Jerkass}}: Brutalizes Orihime's face, bullies Menoly into following her and continues tormenting Orihime even ''after'' getting healed by her.
710* LaserGuidedKarma: Both times she attacks Orihime she gets stomped by an Espada.
711* LoonyFan: Followinng his defeat, she and Rudbornn are the only Arrancar left who still care about Aizen. In both cases it is made clear that this is not a good thing.
712* MsFanservice: Her uniform was designed specifically to show off her figure, particularly through ZettaiRyouiki, and NavelDeepNeckline. Given her infatation with Aizen, this was largely intentional.
713* MurderTheHypotenuse: Tried it twice against Orihime, because she was jealous at how much Aizen was interested in her. This included brutalizing her face, pulling her hair, stomping on her head, clawing out pieces of her flesh, and threatening to pull out her nails on top of ripping her eye out. ''Jesus Christ'', Loly.
714* NavelDeepNeckline: Her uniform covers her back, but only joins in the front at the neck and pelvis, curving round to cover her breasts without joining up. This exposes her skin from neck to navel.
715* NotQuiteDead: The anime reveals Loly was pinned to the wall by one of Ishida's arrows, saving her from falling to her death. She reappears ''much'' later in the manga, attacking Quilge Opie and the First Jagdarmee alongside Melony and getting her butt kicked again.
716* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: In the anime, as a parallel to Ichigo and Grimmjow's rivalry, Loly stops cowering and tries to fight Yammy off when he's about to attack Orihime, yelling at him for messing with "her prey". Doesn't work out.
717* PetTheDog: Loly's [[TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou defense of Orihime from Yammy]] in the anime, even to the point of smiling at her just before Yammy throws her through the wall. Still a bitch about it, and largely for a selfish reason, but it's easily her best act by far.
718* PoisonedWeapons: Her released form Escolopendra takes the form of a dagger and allows her to poison her enemies. In the anime, this is also an example of PoisonIsCorrosive.
719* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Actually subverted. With her pigtails and skirt, Loly is the girly girl to Menoly, appearance wise, but she's far more passionate and unhinged, as opposed to Menoly's more composed and withdrawn personality.
720* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Aggressive tomboyish personality with a girly appearance.
721* UndyingLoyalty: Even with Aizen defeated, she still proclaims herself as "Aizen-sama's aide".
722* UngratefulBitch: Towards Orihime, but that could be due to how [[AllLovingHero Orihime]] represents the [[RealityWarper exact opposite]] of how [[TheHeartless a Hollow]]'s lifestyle [[TheSocialDarwinist tends to be]].
723--> '''Loly:''' "What is she... What... She's... She's... Like a monster...!?"
724* VictoriasSecretCompartment: Loly gets out her dagger seemingly outta nowhere. [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] by Yammy and later by Quilge Opie.
725--> '''Yammy:''' "Where did you hide a knife in that outfit? What a slut."
726* {{Yandere}}: When she believes that Aizen is favoring Orihime, she goes absolutely berserk and starts torturing her with the clear intention of killing her eventually.[[/folder]]

735----
736* AdaptationalCurves: Inverted as she's actually more chesty in the manga than in the anime
737* ButtMonkey: She never seems to get a break. Gets obliterated by Grimmjow, bullied into helping Loly attack Orihime a second time, swatted through a wall by Yammy and slashed apart from Quilge Opie.
738* EyepatchOfPower: Her hollow mask has this look and is on the right.
739* NotQuiteDead: Was seemingly killed when Yammy threw her into a wall, but she reappears ''much'' later in the manga, attacking Quilge Opie and the First Jagdarmee alongside Loly and getting her butt kicked again.
740* ProperlyParanoid: She's reluctant to help Loly attack Orihime again. The anime even has her call Loly out on it. Seconds later, Yammy shows up and brutalizes both of them.
741* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Menoly is a subversion. She looks like a tomboy, but is far more withdrawn and composed than Loly.
742* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Tomboyish like Loly, but quite passive and less aggressive.

755* BigFriendlyDog: He's an Arrancar that looks like a dog rather than a human.
756* CanineCompanion: He was Yammy's Fracción, and despite being mistreated was loyal to the end.
757* KickTheDog: When he's introduced Yammy chucks a bone at him.
758* NonHumanSidekick: Unlike all the other Arrancar his appearance is completely animalistic.
759* PetTheDog: In the ''Nestle To Night'' novella he welcomes Harribel and the Tres Bestias back to Hueco Mundo. Apacci of all Hollows [[ImTakingHerHomeWithMe tries to take him with them]], worrying that he'll be killed if he stays with Yammy's corpse. Mila Rose even pats him on the head before they leave.
760* UndyingLoyalty: Refused to go with the Tres Bestias out of loyalty to his deceased master, even though he was told he'd be eaten by encroaching Hollows. Yammy himself expresses confusion at this, right before he dies.

773----
774Pesche and Dondochakka are Nel's two goofy, cartoonish companions. They are eccentric but generally harmless despite being arrancar. Pesche has a fondness for bad jokes and generally being annoying while Dondochakka talks like a cowardly gangster. Encountered by Ichigo's gang on Hueco Mundo, they agree to lead the group to Aizen's fortress Las Noches, where they follow several members of the group when they split up: Pesche went with Ishida and Dondochakka went with Renji, while Bawabawa went back inside Dondochakka's mouth.
775
776The name and ability of Dondochakka's Zanpakutō is unknown, while Pesche wields '''''Ultima'''''.
777-----
778* BewareTheSillyOnes: They may seem like idiots....well, they ''are'' idiots, but they're ''much'' more impressive in combat than they've led everyone else to believe. Szayelaporro notes he'd have been seriously injured by their attacks if he wasn't so CrazyPrepared.
779* BokeAndTsukkomiRoutine: Pesche tries to set these up with Ishida when they're stuck together, much to Ishida's annoyance
780* TheBusCameBack: They return for the "Thousand Year Blood War" arc, reuniting with Nel offscreen.
781* CarryABigStick: Dondochakka has one. He usually carries it in his stomach.
782* CombinationAttack: Pesche and Dondochakka's ''Cero Sincrético'' invoke this, but it doesn't work against Szayelaporro.
783* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: When Pesche and Dondonchakka decide to cut loose it turns out that they're both entirely competent, but just not good enough to match Szayel.
784* LaserBlade: Pesche has one in his ''crotch'', which he compares to Uryu's Seele Schneider.
785* MaskOfPower: Subverted. While all Arrancars have some sort of mask, theirs were ripped off by Nnoitra before the series began. The ones they have now are just disguises so that Nel doesn't remember her past.
786* NeighborhoodFriendlyGangsters: Dondochakka, despite being a perfectly nice if goofy guy, is given a {{Yakuza}}-esque accent and speech pattern. The dub followed suit by writing his dialogue with an "Italian mobster" flair.
787* ObfuscatingStupidity: Pesche and Dondochakka act like idiots to keep Nel from remembering her life as 3rd Espada. They're still genuinely ditzes, but they're smarter than they look.
788* PunchClockVillain: Hard to picture, we know, but for a time, they actually used to work under Aizen's wing. No longer applies since they left Las Noches before the series began.
789* PutOnABus: Or thrown off into the distance by Nemu Kurotsuchi.
790* SandWorm: Bawabawa acts as one in desert-like Hueco Mundo.
791* StomachOfHolding: Dondochakka Birstanne hides Bawabawa and other insect like constructs in his gut.
792* TorsoWithAView: Pesche's hollow hole is located over his solar plexus. Dondochakka is fully covered so it's not clear where his is.
793* TrouserSpace: Pesche's trusty sword is hidden right in his briefs.
794* VerbalTic: Dondonchakka with his "Don'tcha Know?" ("Yansu" in the original)[[/folder]]

802----
803Nnoitra's Fracción, the 50th Número. He's extremely loyal to his boss.
804
805His Zanpakutō is '''''Verruga''''', which means "wart." It transforms him into an enormous warthog with overwhelming physical strength.
806-----
807* AllThereInTheManual: A sketch Kubo did for Valentine's day reveals that he has a crush on Nnoitra and once tried to confess. Sadly for him, Nnoitra's response was to destroy the valentine's card with glee.
808* EyeBeam: His Cero is fired from his eye, and named as Cero Cornea.
809* EyepatchOfPower: Wears one to emulate his master. Note that the eyepatch is absent in the flashback.
810* {{Jerkass}}: Abuses his enemies just as badly as Nnoitra does, and without even an order to do so. He's just calmer about his savagery than his boss.
811* JustFollowingOrders: In regards to holding Orihime while Nnoitra fought Ichigo. From that, Tesra promised not to harm her unless she attacked him. He even asks Orihime, when she jolts due to wondering where Nel went, if something was wrong. On the other hand, when given free reign, he's pretty sadistic himself.
812* MyMasterRightOrWrong: Excluding complaints about it. He willingly defended Nnoitra from an attack, and even when he was nearly killed for it, he still follows him.
813* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Unleashes one on an already severely-wounded Ichigo, breaking his limbs and bones.
814* PigMan: His [[OneWingedAngel release]] turns him into an anthropomorphic warthog.
815* PrettyBoy: Compared to most male Fracción, he has a very sleek and delicate face.
816* SingleTear: Exudes one just before he dies, after witnessing Nnoitra himself die.
817* SubordinateExcuse: The reason he follows Nnoitra? He loves him.
818* SoftspokenSadist: He really wasn't ordered to break Ichigo's arm or continue beating on him endlessly without killing him. Even Nnoitra was telling him to hurry up and get it over with.... and he continued to break Ichigo's arm apart anyway, all in a completely silent and calm manner. This carelessness and needless brutality later caused his death via Kenpachi Zaraki.
819* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Tesla? Tesra? Japanese lacks an 'l' but what's loosely called an 'r' sound gets romanised as either an 'l' or 'r' depending on translator.
820* UnderestimatingBadassery: Makes the fatal error of underestimating Zaraki Kenpachi. Nnoitra even attempts to warn him of the danger, but by then it's too late.
821* UndyingLoyalty: Nnoitra does care about him, but Tesra still puts up with a lot of mistreatment because he's genuinely loyal.
822* WouldHurtAChild: As seen by him searching Nel out, knowing fully well that she was a child, and blasting at her with a Cero.[[/folder]]

830----
831Arrancar #54, serving under Harribel. She has blue hair and different colored eyes (and an orange ring around her left eye), along with a high temper and a lot of pride.
832
833Her Zanpakutō is '''''Cierva''''', which gives her stag-like features.
834----
835* AdaptationExpansion: The anime had a WholeEpisodeFlashback about how she met Harribel, Sung-Sun and Mila Rose.
836* AintTooProudToBeg: In Nestle To Night, she grabbed Orihime's head, locked eyes with her and ''repeatedly'' begged her to save Harribel, Sung-Sun and Mila Rose.
837* AllThereInTheManual: Her full name, number, birthday, height, weight and survival were revealed in the ''Unmasked'' databook.
838* {{Bambification}}: Averted. Despite her Resurreccíon being deer-themed, she is an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed Arrancar who is constantly butting heads with her fellow Fracción Mila Rose.
839* DarkActionGirl: More overtly nasty than her comrades, due to her short temper and occasional bouts of borderline sadism.
840* {{Determinator}}: Her skin was burnt and her arm was severed, with blood still dripping from her wound, and she ''still'' used [[FlashStep Sonído]] to get to Orihime's location (after the transfer from Fake Karakura to the Soul Society was completed) in Nestle To Night. Once there, she immediately falls to the ground... and forces herself up anyway. Her shoulder shook violently every time she breathed, her words coming out in short bursts, but it didn't matter; she forced several steps closer to Orihime before collapsing to the ground again.
841* DoesNotLikeMen: In the anime, she expresses disdain at another Hollow for being male (although the fact that he tried to ''eat'' her probably has something to do with it). In the present story, she doesn't allow it to affect her when she more or less allies with Ichigo versus Opie.
842* EnemyMine:
843** A running gag with the trio: she and Mila Rose will start butting heads, Sung-Sun will say something that insults the both of them, and the two will stop mid-argument to confront Sung-Sun about it.
844** In Nestle To Night, a battered and burnt Apacci suddenly appears after Ichigo falls into a coma, convincing Orihime, Renji and Rukia to help out in saving her friends. In the manga, she returns via fighting Opie, who himself targeted Ichigo at the same time.
845* EvenEvilHasStandards: She actually ''stops'' arguing with Sung-Sun and Mila Rose after seeing Opie kill one of his soldiers. Given how Harribel's never treated her that way, it makes perfect sense over why Apacci disapproves.
846* EvilLaugh: She bursts into a set of maniacal, even sadistic laughter when Ayon laid the smackdown on Opie.
847* FatalFlaw: Passion. She wears her emotions on her sleeve and she doesn't take shit from anyone, making her incredibly temperamental and reactionary on a lot of fronts, but it also makes her the most leader-like of Harribel's three Fracción due to her ability to step up the quickest and most frequently of the three.
848* FlashStep: While all Arrancar have it (called Sonido), Apacci stands out in that, in Nestle To Night, she teleported in such a way that it seems she ''falls from the sky and onto the ground''.
849* FusionDance: She can combine her severed arm with that of Mila Rose and Sung-Sun to create the Chimera Ayon. She was the first to prove that none of them have any control over Ayon, however.
850* HairTriggerTemper: ''Anything'' will set her off, which leads to ''a lot'' of arguments between her and Mila Rose or Sung-Sun.
851* HornedHumanoid: Her Hollow mask takes on the form of a horn, which is upgraded in her Resurrección.
852* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: When she assumes Opie's down and out via Ayon, she gloats about it as she walks closer to the Quincy, who then stabs her through the ''neck''.
853* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's loud, harsh and irritable, but she loves her friends as if they were family, and she'd rather have herself killed if it meant they lived instead.
854* TheMcCoy: The impulsive and irritable Apacci is the Id of the FreudianTrio, usually having to be restrained by Mila-Rose and clashing with Sun-Sung over her lack of decorum.
855* OffhandBackhand: She kills a Vandenreich mook this way in the Thousand Year Blood War anime. She hits him so hard, she ''takes his head clean off'' with it!
856* PluckyGirl: She attacks ''Yamamoto'', of all people, ''without her arm'', as did Sung-Sun and Mila Rose. Yamamoto is so impressed that he decides to spare them.
857* {{Pride}}: Nestle To Night shows that this is the reason she's ashamed of asking Orihime for help in saving her mistress.
858* TrueCompanions: Most explicit in the anime rendition of her backstory, where she quickly grows to accept Harribel, Sung-Sun and Mila Rose as her family.
859* {{Tsundere}}: Nestle to Night establishes her as a rather dark example. She's ''ashamed'' of herself for feeling grateful to Orihime for saving her mistress, and she'd rather forget such a thing happened due to her pride. She even acts like one to Kukkapūro via yelling at him to leave and abruptly picking him up, causing him to yelp and struggle in her grasp. When Sung-Sun calls her out on it (and explains that he wants to stay, not go with them), Apacci complies, albeit [[BlatantLies claiming that she was going to do so anyway]]. At the end of the novel, a sketch was made that depicted Harribel and her entourage walking away, with Kukkapūro looking at them. [[http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lmfip6YXEN1qcp8gy.jpg Apacci is the only one who spares a glance back at him]].
860* UndyingLoyalty: While everyone in Harribel's group has it, Apacci particularly stands out due to the sheer pain she puts herself through in order to get Orihime to heal her mistress (whose own injuries were most severe).
861* UngratefulBitch: Subverted. Apacci swears in her thoughts while mentally going over how Orihime saved Harribel when she couldn't; clearly envious of Orihime in that regards, but she's actually ashamed that she truly ''is'' grateful that Orihime healed all of them. When Orihime says she wants to heal her, Apacci declines and insists that Harribel needs to be treated first, despite having grave injuries herself.
862* VillainousValour: While all of Harribel's Fracción qualify by virtue of the PluckyGirl event, Apacci again finds a way to stand out. She's suffering from life-threatening injuries, but she's so driven to save her mistress that she will push herself through, caring little about her own life hanging in the balance.
863* VitriolicBestBuds: She's so easy to annoy that she causes a lot of arguments among her trio, but she will throw herself to hell and back for them.
864* TheWorfEffect: She was beaten off-panel by Opie to demostrate how out of league Arrancars are to Quincies.[[/folder]]

872----
873Arrancar #55, serving under Harribel. She's a thin, pale young girl with a calmer, if snobbish demeanor, known for snarking her way through conversations with her compatriots.
874
875Her Zanpakutō is '''''Anaconda''''', which transforms her into a naga.
876----
877* AllThereInTheManual: Her full name, number, birthday, height, weight and survival were revealed in the ''Unmasked'' databook.
878* AnimeChineseGirl: The only female character who has a distinctly Chinese motif.
879* DarkActionGirl: Best shown when she impaled a Quincy soldier through his head with her sai.
880* DeadpanSnarker: Sung-Sun regularly jabs at her other two teammates and is the least openly emotional of the three.
881* EvenEvilHasStandards: She normally spends her time snarking at her companions... but stops once she sees Opie killing one of his subordinates. It alarmed her that much.
882* FusionDance: She can combine her severed arm with that of Apacci and Mila Rose to create the Chimera Ayon.
883* NoMouth: Sung-Sun's hand is conveniently positioned to hide her mouth at all times, sans her very first appearance while she, her Fracción-mates and Harribel were observing the Ichigo-Grimmjow fight from afar. This is because she seems to embody [[YamatoNadeshiko traditional Asian femininity]], which implored that women keep their teeth hidden at all times.
884* OhCrap: After Opie stabs through Apacci's neck (and makes it clear he survived Ayon's beatdown), Sung-Sun ''freaks the fuck out''. It really exemplified how desperate things turned for her group (until Ichigo bailed them out).
885* PluckyGirl: Yamamoto was impressed at her resolve to take part in jump-rushing the Captain Commander without an arm.
886* SnakePeople: In Resurrección, her lower body becomes that of a snake's, making her look like a lamia. She can also conjure up snakes to attack with.
887* TheSpock: Cool and snarky Sung-Sun acts as the Superego of FreudianTrio, in terms of how her companions don't act with social decorum. She's cool, rational and prefers to analyse the situation rather than acting rashly. She doesn't like her companions rashness.
888* TrueCompanions: With Harribel, Apacci and Mila Rose.
889* VitriolicBestBuds: She will snark at Mila Rose and Apacci constantly, and act as snobbishly as she wants along the way, but there are several instances that prove she cares about their well-being as much as she does to Harribel. This is best shown when she reacts in what amounted to a FreakOut at seeing Apacci impaled by Opie.
890* TheWorfEffect: Opie finishes her off-panel, and he suffers no visible marks afterward.[[/folder]]

898----
899Arrancar #56, serving under Harribel. Taller than the other two, Mila Rose has dark skin, an amazon-esque costume and a temperament merged with that of her two comrades; she's calmer than Apacci, but more irritable than Sung-Sun.
900
901Her Zanpakutō is '''''Leona''''', which gives gives her the appearance of an Amazon-warrior with lion features.
902-----
903* AllThereInTheManual: Her full name, number, birthday, height, weight and survival were revealed in the ''Unmasked'' databook.
904* AmazonBrigade: She forms a unit of three with Apache and Sun-Sun. Together they serve Harribel and among the most powerful and capable Fracción-level warriors. The trio can also combine their powers by sacrificing their left arms to create a fighting monster so powerful that even lieutenant-level Soul Reapers are not strong enough to fight.
905* AmazonianBeauty: She is one of the tallest female characters in the series at 5'9", carries a noticeable six-pack by the final arc, and wears the most skimpy and feral outfit of Harribel's Fracción.
906* AmbiguouslyBrown: The anime decided to give her a darker skin tone, contrasting with her pale complexion in the manga.
907* DarkActionGirl: The anime plays it up more, as she fights Matsumoto personally and exhibits a behaviorial attitude reminiscent to a BloodKnight. In the manga, she even has a six-pack.
908%% * EnemyMine: With Ichigo, Orihime, Chad and Urahara against Opie.
909* EvenEvilHasStandards: She ''clearly'' took an issue with Opie murdering one of his henchmen since it silenced their arguing. Given her loyalty to Harribel, it makes a lot of sense.
910* EvilCounterpart: To Rangiku. Both are buxom women with a feline {{Animal Motif|s}} (a cat for Rangiku, a lion for Mila). They are also somewhat immature and have a habit of getting into silly arguments with their friends but when the chips are down are shown to be loyal and caring towards them. Finally, both are subordinates to two characters whose powers relate to water in some way and have the initials T.H. ('''T'''ier '''H'''arribel, '''T'''oshiro '''H'''itsugaya). Toshiro and Harribel's clash even occurs while Rangiku faces off with Mila and the rest of Harribel's AmazonBrigade.
911* FacialMarkings: In her Resurreccíon, she gains an orange x-shaped mark on her forehead.
912* FusionDance: She can combine her severed arm with that of Apacci and Sung-Sun to create the Chimera Ayon.
913* HornedHumanoid: After Aizen's defeat, the fragments of her Hollow mask changes. The band of the crown around her head is thicker, and has a pair of long, bull-like horns protruding from it.
914* HotBlooded: She acts as she's calmer and more composed, but she's nearly as irritable as Apacci.
915* HypocriticalHumor: She holds back an infuriated Apacci after Rangiku insults the latter's appearance as a provocation, only to blow up in the exact same manner after Rangiku calls her a female gorilla.
916* KingOfBeasts: Her Resurreccíon is lion-themed, giving her a head dress that resembles a lion's mane (despite that being a characteristic of male lions) and breast armor that resembles claws.
917* TheKirk: While she is rarely any better than Apacci, Mila-Rose fills the role of Ego in the FreudianTrio, by generally being the one to take up the moderating role, restraining Apacci or cussing out Sung-Sun.
918* MsFanservice: Her figure is the most voluptous among Harribel's Fracción, something we know of due to her [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/8/85/Ep224LeonaReleased.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/190?cb=20140621234944&path-prefix=en provocatively designed outfit]].
919* NavelDeepNeckline: In her Resurreccíon, her torso is barely covered, exposing her skin from neck to pelvis.
920* PantheraAwesome: Her Zanpakutō, Leona, is based on a lioness.
921* PetTheDog: She literally pets Kukkapūro in Nestle To Night. It's the friendliest moment she's had.
922* PluckyGirl: Yamamoto commends Mila Rose and her group for their courage in attacking him before torching them to unconsciousness.
923* StatuesqueStunner: Mila Rose is second to Isane in term of height at 177cm/5'9".
924* {{Stripperific}}: In her default outfit, she wears a skirt, a bodice with a bra-like design, a couple of armbands and warm warmers near her shoulders.[[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/bleach/images/8/85/Ep224LeonaReleased.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/190?cb=20140621234944&path-prefix=en In her ressurreccion form, she has two claws holding her breasts, an armored thong, an armor-like neck garment, and a pair of boots which extend to her upper thigh]].
925* TorsoWithAView: Mila Rose's hollow hole is located above her stomach.
926* TrueCompanions: She sees her comrades and her mistress as such a group, a view shared by each of them.
927* VitriolicBestBuds: She snaps at Apacci and Sung-Sun constantly, but their TeethClenchedTeamwork is ''damn'' effective, and it becomes obvious they were more pushing each others' buttons than outright hating each other.

936----
937A bull-headed Arrancar ranked as the 61st Número, Rudbornn is the leader of the Exequias. The Exequias are responsible for terminating any rebels or intruders in Las Noches, hence their name, and the Espada hold a fair amount of authority over them.
938
939Rudbornn wields '''''Árbol''''', which transforms him into... a tree. It's more menacing than it sounds, since the tree lets him sprout an infinite number of mooks.
940----
941* AdaptationExpansion: His confrontation with Rukia was furthered in the anime; instead of his opponent solely being Rukia, she was joined by Renji and Chad, who distracted him long enough for Rukia to freeze him.
942* BattleDiscretionShot: The manga's version of his fight with Rukia was skipped to the very ending, with Rukia completely unscathed and Rudbornn's tree branches frozen, preventing him from spawning the Calaveras.
943* TheBusCameBack: He is defeated in battle by Rukia and then crushed by Yammy when he suddenly appears in front of Rukia. He isn't seen again in the manga, but is implied to have been killed by a combination of Rukia freezing his body and Yammy crushing his mask. However, he returns in the Creator/TiteKubo co-authored ''[[Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld Can't Fear Your Own World]]''.
944* TheFaceless: Uniquely, Rudbornn is the only Arrancar with a completely stable Hollow mask, resembling a bull.
945* FacelessGoons: His Calaveras soldiers have helmets resembling human skulls.
946* FlunkyBoss: He uses the Exequias to fight his battles for him, since his released form is a ''tree''.
947* AGodAmI: He thinks his Zanpakutō's ability is "godlike" [[ItMakesSenseInContext since it creates 'people']]. He also claimed that Aizen was the one that gave said "godlike" ability to Rudbornn; he was most likely referring to the Hōgyoku.
948* HiddenDepths: ''Can't Fear Your Own World'' reveals that he originally worked for Baraggan Louisenbairn, and that he harbors the ambition of reforging Hueco Mundo into a functional nation presided over by the Arrancar; expressing pride when he sees the former Espada cooperating with one another.
949* MookMaker: Árbol can spawn a shit-load of Calaveras foot-soldiers.
950* SmugSnake: He can spawn an endless amount of Calaveras, but if he [[ZergRush used it properly]] instead of just gloating and utilizing MookChivalry, he would've defeated Rukia without many problems.
951* YouHaveFailedMe: Exequias are tasked with killing off defeated Arrancars as punishment for losing their fights, hence why Rudbornn killed Dordoni and Cirucci off. 963His Zanpakutō is an enormous claymore named '''''Extinguir''''', solely designed to negate the effects of Yamamoto's Ryūjin Jakka by absorbing its flames. His Resurreccíon allows him to grow numerous arms from his shoulders.
964-----
965* AlasPoorVillain: Even Yamamoto pities him after he kills him. [[invoked]]
966-->'''Yamamoto:''' Poor thing... Were your emotions taken away from you, too? (Stares at Aizen) That was cruel of you.
967* AlmightyJanitor: The Shinigami classify him as Espada-level and his performance backs it up, but he still held the rank of Número throughout his time with Aizen. Considering that Aizen more-or-less lobotomized him, it isn't like he'd be able to hold that sort of authority to begin with.
968* {{BFS}}: His Zanpakutō is bigger than he is, and looks like a large long sword.
969* ChekhovsGunman: Why the hell would Aizen make an Arrancar so useless? To deal with Yamamoto, [[DidntSeeThatComing of course]].
970* CripplingOverspecialization: Zig-zagged. His Resurreccíon serves only to negate Yamamoto's Zanpakutō, something which cost him his higher brain functions and left his mind barely cognizant. However, when Yamamoto proves that he can fight just fine with his Zanpakutō sealed, Wonderweiss is shown to be pretty powerful in hand to hand combat as well, so he never let it affect him as much.
971* InfernalRetaliation: Explodes after being killed, which required Yamamoto himself to shield the blast so Karakura wouldn't be destroyed.
972* KidWithTheLeash: He's in command of a HUGE hollow.
973* LaserGuidedTykebomb: Aizen modified him, at the cost of any higher brain functions, specifically to absorb the flames of Yamamoto’s Ryūjin Jakka.
974* MinMaxing: Aizen modifications essentially amount to this.
975* MultiArmedAndDangerous: In his released form, he grows lots of sinewy arms from his oversized shoulders.
976* NotSoHarmlessVillain: Heavily hinted at during his very first appearance and brief clash with Urahara, but [[TheReveal the true extent of his not-harmlessness]] later is still spectacular. He one-shots Ukitake and beats Kensei offscreen.
977* OhCrap: He is visibly terrified when Yamamoto prepares his Sōkotsu attack to finish him off. Yamamoto laments that the one thing Aizen didn't seem to have stripped from him were emotions.
978* OneWingedAngel: His Resurreccíon transforms him into a huge mutant version of himself. It presumably has ''nothing'' to do with whatever he used to look like before becoming an Arrancar because of Aizen's tampering.
979* PowerNullifier: His Resurreccíon was modified for the sole purpose of cancelling out Yamamoto's Shikai.
980* PsychopathicManchild: The guy would rather play with dragonflies and with other people's hats than go out on missions. He retains his vapid, child-like demeanor as he's annihilating his opponents as well.
981* PureIsNotGood: Tōsen explains that he's a pure creature and that pure creatures are attracted to each other. However, Wonderweiss is not on the side of good and has one sole purpose that is anything but good.
982* RapidFireFisticuffs: He uses his Resurreccíon ability to grow extra arms to do this to Yamamoto. Going by Yamamoto's reaction, his back pain probably hurts more than the punches.
983* SpellMyNameWithAnS: People are unclear on how to spell his name, though 'Wonderweiss' is the official spelling. Wonderwice and other permutations were not uncommon for a time.
984* TorsoWithAView: His hollow hole is on his chest. Yamamoto [[MegatonPunch gave him a bigger hole there]]. ''Twice''.
985* TheUnintelligible: He barely ever makes any noise other than the childish vocalizations he usually does, with the notable exception being his debut scene where he gives his name to the assembled Espada after his "birth." Presumably, Aizen lobotomized him to give him his Anti-Yamamoto Resurreccíon.
986* UnskilledButStrong: Aizen deliberately stripped him of all intellect, skill, rationality and even language capability to focus on maximizing Wonderweiss's power output. This turned Wonderweiss into a huge powerhouse that most of his Shinigami opponents couldn't handle, even the captains. Yamamoto criticised his attacks for being too predictable, however.
987* YourHeadAsplode: It inflated to ridiculous proportions just before exploding, but not before Yamamoto jumped onto it to keep it from destroying the city.[[/folder]]

999-> '''Species:''' Hollowfied Soul Reaper / Artificial Arrancar / Hollowfied Zanpakutō Spirit
1000----
1001A particularly powerful humanoid Hollow with black armor, bladed arms, and angular forward-facing horns. He was a prototype artificial Arrancar created by Aizen through the amalgamation of Hollowfied Soul Reapers, making him similar to both Vasto Lorde Menos and the Visored. Despite his name, he was entirely clad in black armor except for his white mask and hair. White fought Isshin Shiba years ago in the Human World, and was one of the reasons for his retirement. He was slain by Masaki Kurosaki, but prior to his death infected her with his soul; which was suppressed by Isshin, transferred to Ichigo in-utero, and took over his Zanpakutō Spirit -- becoming his Inner Hollow.
1002\
1003During the final battle with Yhwach, the Quincy Emperor seemingly stripped White's soul from Ichigo due to the Hollow having been passed down from his mother along with his Quincy powers, though in ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'', White's soul was revealed to still be part of Ichigo.
1004\
1005White makes a brief cameo appearance in the trailer for ''Everything but the Rain'' Isshin Shiba and Masaki Kurosaki in ''VideoGame/BleachBraveSouls'', being made a playable character for the game's 8th anniversary, and made his anime debut in Episode 11 of the ''Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War''.
1006\
1007'''Note: Tropes exclusive to the Inner Hollow can be found [[Characters/BleachZanpakuto here]], and tropes exclusive to Ichigo's Hollow form can be found [[Characters/BleachIchigoKurosaki here]].'''
1008----
1009* ArtificialHuman: He was an artificial Hollow created by Aizen as part of his Hollowfication experiments. His creation mirrored the method Nimaya uses to create Zanpakutō, facilitating his ability to integrate himself into a target Soul Reaper's soul by taking over their Zanpakutō spirit.
1010* BarbarianLonghair: White possesses long white hair -- the exact length varies from panel to panel -- that protrudes from the back of his helmet, and is a powerful and savage combatant who killed numerous Soul Reapers.
1011* BattleInTheRain: Invokes this by only coming out to hunt during thunderstorms.
1012* BladeBelowTheShoulder: White has two sword-like appendages in place of lower arms and hands, and Isshin inwardly remarks that despite being a Hollow it's a skilled combatant.
1013* CallForward: White's battle with Isshin contains several parallels to Hollow Ichigo's battle with Ulquiorra, with the anime including several shot-for-shot references. In the anime, some of White's roars are even recycled from Hollow Ichigo's.
1014* CannibalismSuperpower: In the anime, Isshin notes that White is growing stronger and smarter with every Soul Reaper he kills and devours.
1015* TheCorruption: Once White reaches the Metastasizing phase, his Target Hollowfication enables him to transfer his soul into a target that he bites, causing said host to lose their heart and Hollowfy. Upon Ichigo's conception, White's soul was transferred to him and took over his Zanpakutō spirit to become his [[SuperPoweredEvilSide Inner Hollow]].
1016* CurbStompCushion: White was fast and strong enough to force Isshin, who had been shown to be powerful enough to take on Aizen ''without'' releasing his Zanpakutō, to use his Shikai.[[note]]Isshin would have gone to Bankai, but Aizen [[InTheBack interceded]] to stop him from doing so.[[/note]] Despite [[AnArmAndALeg losing an arm]], White was still able to overwhelm Isshin and would have killed him had Masaki not intervened.
1017* DevelopmentGag: White has his name despite being black. This mirrors the real-life logic Kubo used for naming the series ''Bleach'' (a term for whitening things), despite most of the prominent characters wearing black.
1018* EnemyWithin: He infested Masaki's soul with his own and tried to take over her before being suppressed by Isshin and Urahara. As Ichigo's Inner Hollow, he is initially this to him as well, though Ichigo eventually accepts him as being a part of himself.
1019* EvilCounterpart: Whether by accident or on purpose, when transferred to Ichigo, White's soul functioned like a parasitic Asauchi and fused with his Soul Reaper powers due to White having been created in more-or-less the same fashion as an Asauchi. The fact that he's a fully Hollowfied Soul Reaper makes him one to the Visored as well.
1020* {{Foreshadowing}}: After killing Grand Fisher, Isshin mentioned to Urahara that he had fought a prototype Arrancar shortly before retiring. When he later tells Ichigo about how he met Masaki, it's revealed (or at least strongly implied) that said prototype Arrancar was White.
1021* GoneHorriblyRight: Aizen intended for White to both draw out the Visored and test a new method of Hollowfication. While he failed to do the former, the latter was a resounding success that wound up significantly contributing to the defeat of the Espada and Aizen himself.
1022* GrandTheftMe: White's soul was integrated into Ichigo's own in utero, taking over his Zanpakuto spirit Zangetsu in the process. Further cementing this, Nimaya and Isshin make no distinction between Ichigo's Inner Hollow and White, the Reishi strings placed on White's soul kept the Inner Hollow suppressed inside Ichigo until Urahara's Shattered Shaft training, and Kazeshini refers to White as being Ichigo's Zanpakutō Spirit in the ''Literature/BleachCantFearYourOwnWorld'' light novel.
1023* GrowBeyondTheirProgramming: Tōsen states that the fact that White self-destructed meant he had surpassed the Target Hollowfication phase and went to the final Metastasize phase, but is incredulous that White chose Masaki -- a Quincy -- as his host when he was supposed to target Soul Reapers, and decries him as a failure. Aizen, however, is excited to see the results of this unexpected turn of events.
1024* HornedHumanoid: White has a pair of long, forward-pointing horns protruding from the sides of his head. They look almost exactly like the horns on Ichigo's second Hollow form, which originated from White itself.
1025* HugeHolographicHead: He manifested in Masaki's Inner World as a massive spectral head and tried to eat her consciousness before being suppressed by Isshin.
1026* IronicName: His name is White due to him being an amalgam of Hollowfied Soul Reapers, but his body was covered in jet-black armor. Aizen even comments on the irony of it.
1027* KamehameHadoken: White can fire a powerful Cero from between his horns.
1028* LightningBruiser: White was fast enough to dodge Masaki's barrage of Heilig Pfeil; and strong and durable enough to put Isshin -- who's been shown to be capable of giving ''Aizen'' a good fight without releasing his Zanpakutō -- on the defensive even with his Shikai activated, overwhelming him even with one arm, and bite through Masaki's unusually powerful Blut Vene.
1029* ManBitesMan: He chomps down on Masaki's shoulder, leaving himself open to being shot in the head but transferring his soul into her in the process.
1030* MergerOfSouls:
1031** The process Aizen used to create White involved merging multiple Soul Reaper souls and Hollowfying them to create an entity resembling a Vasto Lorde.
1032** As explained by Nimaya, one of White's intended purposes was to infect a Soul Reaper with his soul, which would take over the Soul Reaper's Zanpakutō spirit and cause them to Hollowfy. Much to Aizen's amusement, White parasitized Masaki Kurosaki - a Quincy - instead. With Urahara's help, Isshin Shiba suppressed White's soul with Reishi strings, but White fulfilled his intended purpose when Ichigo was conceived by becoming his Inner Hollow.
1033* MonstrousHumanoid: He is completely humanoid except for his digitigrade feet and bladed hands. Isshin even assumes he's a Vasto Lorde.
1034* NoPlansNoPrototypeNoBackup: White was an experimental prototype for fully Hollowfying Soul Reapers and carried a new means of spreading Hollowfication, but was more advanced than anticipated. To Tosen's chagrin, he was destroyed by a Quincy, leading him to dismiss White as a failure that didn't Hollowfy a Soul Reaper as planned. On the other hand, Aizen was fascinated by White having chosen to infect Masaki instead of Isshin, and wanted to understand more about the consequences of this event.
1035* NoRangeLikePointBlankRange:
1036** White obliterated a Squad 13 Soul Reaper with a point-blank Cero and was about to do the same to Isshin before Masaki intervened.
1037** Masaki kills him by shooting him point-blank in the head with a Heilig Pfeil.
1038* PosthumousCharacter: White was killed by Masaki Kurosaki twenty years before the start of ''Bleach'', but his soul persisted and became a part of her son.
1039* PsychoPrototype: White was the first Hollow successfully created from a Soul Reaper, making him the first creature to ever resemble both Arrancar ''and'' Visored. Tōsen dismissed him as a FlawedPrototype due to his inability to defeat a Captain who was only using Shikai, but he wound up being a SuperPrototype whose power contributed to the defeat of the Espada.
1040* RoarBeforeBeating: As a CallForward to Hollow Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra, when Isshin asks White what he is, his response is to simply roar at Isshin before kicking his ass.
1041* SealedEvilInACan: Urahara's Reishi strings kept White suppressed in Masaki's soul as long as Isshin was alive. They remained in place after White transferred to Ichigo, and were only broken after the Shattered Shaft training and Ichigo's difficult fights in Soul Society.
1042* SelfDestructMechanism: The crimson mass in White's chest self-destructed after he was shot through the head by Masaki, nearly taking her with him in the resulting explosion. Tousen observes this meant that he had surpassed the [[TheVirus Target Hollowfication]] phase and entered [[DemonicPossession the Metastasize]] phase.
1043* ShouldersOfDoom: His shoulder armor is quite bulky, contributing to his intimidating appearance.
1044* SinisterSilhouettes: He was first shown as a silhouette shrouded in an approaching thunderstorm.
1045* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: White briefly ditches his fight with Isshin to vaporize an unseated Soul Reaper from the 13th Division with a massive Cero.
1046* TorsoWithAView: White had a Hollow hole in his torso, but it was completely filled-in by a red tumor-like mass indicated in the anime to be the source of his Target Hollowfication ability.
1047* TotallyNotAWerewolf: Of the "being mistaken for other monsters" subtype: Isshin initially assumes White is a normal Hollow, but notes that it feels like he's fighting a Soul Reaper when crossing blades with him. It's only when White breaks from their fight to [[NoKillLikeOverkill incinerate a low-ranking Soul Reaper with a Cero]] that Isshin realizes his foe is more akin to a Menos.
1048* TransformationOfThePossessed: White's purpose was to meld its soul with that of a Soul Reaper and induce Hollowfication, but it chose to parasitize Misaki Kurosaki -- a Quincy -- instead. Masaki began to undergo Hollowfication -- which would have killed her -- but White was suppressed by Isshin and Uruhara before the process could go any further. Ichigo's second Hollow form bears a marked resemblance to White -- particularly its horns and long mane of hair -- due to White being the source of Ichigo's Hollow powers, having transferred to him in-utero and fulfilling its intended purpose.
1049* TheVirus: White was equipped with a red tumor-like object that enabled it to cause his victims to undergo Hollowfication, but the Hollowfication venom was so potent that none exposed to it survived. When White attacked Masaki he reached what Tousen called his "Metastasizing Phase", his Target Hollowfication enabling him to transfer his soul into another being through a bite, causing them to Hollowfy. He was intended to target Soul Reapers, but Aizen was fascinated that he chose a Quincy instead.
1050* WaveMotionTuningFork: White charges and fires his Ceros between his horns.
1051* WhatTheHellAreYou: Isshin assumes White is a normal Hollow, but after crossing blades with it, he gets the feeling that he's fighting a fellow Soul Reaper. When White breaks from their duel to annihilate an unseated Soul Reaper with a point-blank Cero, Isshin realizes he's fighting more akin to a Menos and demands to know what White is in a horrified and outraged tone.
1052* WhiteHairBlackHeart: White has long white hair extending from the back of his helmet, and is a powerful Hollow that preys on Soul Reapers to grow more powerful.
1053* XanatosGambit: Aizen sent White out to draw out the Visored, and failing that to test a new method of transmitting Hollowfication. Aizen succeeded in the latter [[GoneHorriblyRight in ways even he couldn't have anticipated]].
1054* YourHeadAsplode: Masaki shoots him point blank in the head after luring him in.
