The Radio Noise project was originally devised to mass produce Level 5 esper clones of Mikoto Misaka, but only managed to produce level 2 and later level 3 espers. It was later retooled in the Level 6 shift project, which involved creating 20,000 clones in order to force Accelerator to attain Level 6. After the project was stopped, several clones are still around after the project. This page details the most prominent ones.

[[folder:Clones in General]]
'''The clones share the following tropes:'''

* ArtEvolution: In the Railgun S anime, they have much more natural-looking eyes than in Index, though they still don't look like Mikoto's and aren't much more expressive. This design is carried into Railgun T.
* ArtificialFamilyMember: Despite their artificial origin, Mikoto Misaka sees them as her own little sisters.
* ArtificialHuman: Each Sister is an identical clone of Mikoto Misaka that had her growth accelerated within an incubation tank.
* BadLiar: Their VerbalTic means they have a tendency to announce when they are trying to deceive or manipulate people.
* {{BFG}}: The [[http://toarumajutsunoindex.wikia.com/wiki/Metal_Eater#Metal_Eater_MX Metal Eater MX]], one of the Sisters' two standard-issue weapons, is a fictional SuperPrototype version of the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrett_M82 Barret M82A1]] anti-material rifle -- which is a {{BFG}} in its own right -- that is '''[[MoreDakka fully automatic]]'''. The full-auto mode was removed for mass-production on account of its excessive recoil... but the Sisters can easily negate said recoil by using their [[ShockAndAwe electrokinetic powers]] to counteract it, turning what would normally be an AwesomeButImpractical weapon into a practical weapon without losing an ounce of its awesomeness. Unfortunately, [[NoSell it predictably does jack shit]] against Accelerator's vector-manipulating automatic defense.
* BornAsAnAdult: {{Downplayed|Trope}}; each clone was born as a 14-year-old adolescent (or in Last Order and Misaka Worst's cases, as a 10-year-old child and a 16-year-old teen, respectively) rather than as an infant, thanks to a regimen of drugs and hormones accelerating their growth. Subverted, in that this only applied to their state of '''physical''' development; their minds matched their actual ages (i.e. they were basically infants) until they underwent Testament-induced NeuralImplanting.
* CloneArmy: Twenty thousand identical clones of Mikoto Misaka with a much weaker but still relatively potent form of her [[ShockAndAwe Electromaster]] powers, extensive military training, and standard equipment of a bullpup assault rifle and a '''fully-automatic''' tank-busting sniper rifle. Definitely an army right there.
* ClonesArePeopleToo: Not at first, but once [[spoiler:Touma saves 10032 and gives her a speech]], they begin to start treating themselves as individuals more, rather than just puppets of the HiveMind. When their existence is eventually made public knowledge, [[spoiler:Accelerator and Roberto Katze]] make certain to paint them in a sympathetic light, which gets the world at large (which still condemns cloning itself as abhorrent) to see them this way as well.
* CutenessProximity: A mild variation; when they see cute things there is a little more expression, although it's probably natural for Last Order.
* DesignerBabies: They were all genetically made to grow faster, so that they'd be useful for the Project. After the Project was shut down, they underwent hormone balance adjustment to slow down their cell reproduction and thus their aging to more "normal human" levels.
* DoppelgangerLink: The Sisters are clones who can share experiences and memories through a HiveMind.
* DullEyesOfUnhappiness: In all media except for the ''Railgun'' anime, they are drawn with these eyes to distinguish them from the original. The exception is Last Order, who is already easy to distinguish from Mikoto by virtue of being a TokenMiniMoe GenkiGirl.
* ElectronicTelepathy: The Sisters use their [[ShockAndAwe inherent electricity-manipulation powers]] to act as living radio transceivers, allowing them to maintain a "brainwave network" that resembles a more traditional psychic HiveMind while not being quite the same thing.
* ExpendableClone: Twenty thousand clones created for the sole purpose of being brutally murdered. Before the experiment ended, several people had the opportunity to ask why they were going along with it. The Sisters always responded with simple, honest ''confusion'', as they couldn't conceive of the possibility that they had any value.
* GirlsWithGuns: Sisters numbered 00001 to 20000 carry assault rifles in their bookbags and sniper rifles in guitar cases.
* GratuitousEnglish: The "Radio Noise" name.
* GogglesDoSomethingUnusual: The Sisters are not as powerful with their [[ShockAndAwe Electromaster abilities]] as their genetic template Mikoto is, so they can't see electrical currents. They wear special goggles to compensate for this.
* GoodWithNumbers: Due to the way their base programming is constructed, they're basically an organic supercomputer. Because of this, they're capable of very advanced calculations; [[spoiler:Accelerator]] regains half his calculating power just by borrowing a tiny amount of each Sister's brainpower, and [[spoiler:at the end of ''Railgun S'', Mikoto calls them to calculate the trajectory of a missile.]]
* HiveMind: Through an ElectronicTelepathy-based "brainwave network" (known appropiately as the Misaka Network), the Sisters are able to share their experiences and memories almost instantaneously, effectively simulating a true HiveMind while each Sister remains an individual entity. The story indicates, however, that the network itself is alive and has a will that can use the individual Sisters like you would use your hands and feet. Last Order is the [[HiveQueen administrator and superior]] of the Misaka Network, but is not the network itself. WORST is connected to the network, but is designed to act independently of it and not to be under the control of Last Order; compared to all the normal Sisters, she thus has a great deal more autonomy and individuality.
* IdenticallyPoweredTeam: The Sisters have the same Esper power, Radio Noise, which is itself just a weaker version of their naturally born older "sister" Mikoto's own Esper power.
* {{Irony}}: After being defeated by Touma, Accelerator gets [[spoiler:shot in the head]] while defending Last Order, prompting Heaven Canceler to supplement [[spoiler:the damage to his brain]] using the Misaka Network. This after he killed roughly half of them during the Level 6 experiments.
* NarratingThePresent: "With the exception of Misaka WORST, all the Misaka clones state what they are doing or what is happening while they speak", says Misaka, while pointing to the helpful context.
* NeuralImplanting: While each Sister started with the mental capacity of an infant at "birth", the machine known as Testament was used to accelerate their the development of their minds via directly inputting every needed type of information, from speech, to motor functions, and even personality and emotions. The machine apparently can't teach them how to properly express themselves, though... either that, or the scientists deemed it "unnecessary".
* ReadingTheStageDirectionsOutLoud: The tend to talk this way.
-->'''Sister 10031''': "Your next partner for the experiment is me, Misaka 10031, reports Misaka."
* RescueRomance: All of them (save for Last Order and Worst) end up having a crush on Touma after he saves Misaka 10032 from Accelerator and stops the Level 6 Shift experiment.
* ShockAndAwe: The standard clones have a level 2 version of Mikoto's electromaster powers by the end of the experiments, while Misaka WORST is level 4.
* SiblingTeam: The Sisters are an army of identical clones, which makes them basically twin sisters to each other.
* SuperSoldier: All the sisters have the power of a level 2 electromaster and military training, as well as experience from over 10,000 battles with the strongest Esper in Academy City. One was able to use a Barret .50 cal on full auto. If they were put against anyone but Accelerator, they would win hands down.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Every single one of them narrates themselves.
* TinMan: Most of the clones appear to be {{Emotionless Girl}}s, but they actually do have feelings.
* UterineReplicator: Each Sister was "born" from an incubation tank.
* VerbalTic: "Nearly all Sisters have a weird speech pattern where they explain their emotional state," says Misaka as she delightfully demonstrates this trope.
* YouAreNumberSix: The Sisters' "names" are simply numbers that signify their order of "activation" (i.e. when each clone was finally released from UterineReplicator incubation). Even after the horrendous Level 6 Shift Project experiments are finally stopped and they become relatively free to do whatever they want (so long as they stay out of trouble), they still stick with the numerals rather than adopt actual names; that being said, the most recurring and prominently featured Sister, Misaka 10032, is quickly nicknamed "Misaka Imouto" (literally "Misaka's Little Sister") by the protagonist Touma (since he rarely meets any other Sister), whether it's because her numeral is a big mouthful or he dislikes the dehumanizing nature of such "names".
* YoungerThanTheyLook: All of them are basically toddlers as far as "years lived", and actually start with the minds of infants before [[NeuralImplanting Testament]] fixes that; it comes with accelerated growth.

!!Dolly
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/67_body.png]]
-> Voiced by: Creator/KonomiKohara (JP), Creator/BrittneyKarbowski (EN)\

The very first clone of Mikoto Misaka, a Prototype for the Misaka Network. She was not part of the Level 6 Shift project, but was a prototype of the later clones. She appears in flashbacks in the Railgun manga, where she goes by the nickname "Dolly." The cloning process was still imperfect when she was made, so she can't survive without extensive cybernetic implants.
-----
* BrainUploading: [[spoiler:Her memories were implanted into a second body that was kept in incubation, though it takes her a bit after being freed before they come back to her]].
* {{Cyborg}}: She has extensive mechanical implants in her chest to keep her alive. [[spoiler:Her second body lacks these]].
* ExpendableClone: Dolly was a prototype created only to be experimented upon to facilitate the creation of even more expendable clones. For this goal, she was pumped full of all sorts of unsafe chemicals to see how she would react. [[spoiler:The control for the experiment was apparently not considered expendable and is thus still in stasis when the arc begins.]]
* FlawedPrototype: The cloning process wasn't perfected when Dolly was made, hence the cybernetics.
* GhostMemory: [[spoiler:Misaki learns that another clone has the memories of Dolly and enlists Mitori to find her and wake her up together, but warns Mitori that just because she has Dolly's memories doesn't mean she ''is'' Dolly. That said, the clone in question still clearly considers herself Dolly and that Mitori and Misaki are her friends.]]
* HiddenDepths: She's smarter than she lets on. Not only did she know that her condition was deteriorating and she wouldn't survive much longer without major treatment, she also [[spoiler:knew Misaki was not "Mi-chan."]]
* LikeAnOldMarriedCouple: In ''A Certain Scientific Mental Out'', Dolly and Mitori are living together. Mitori comes home from work to find Dolly has prepared dinner as if they've been married for years.
* MeaningfulName: Dolly, after the first cloned sheep.
* MoralityPet: [[spoiler:The second Dolly, as following her recovery, Mitori no longer wants revenge.]]
* TheNoseKnows: She has a habit of sniffing her friends, specifically their hair. [[spoiler:This was how she realized Misaki was not Mi-chan, and later how she confirmed Mitori's identity when she got out of the pod]].
* OnlyFriend: Apparently a girl named "Mi-chan," [[spoiler:Kouzaku Mitori]], and who apparently stopped visiting her after being freaked out by her implants. The researchers, who needed Dolly's emotional state stable for their experiments, requested that [[spoiler:Misaki]] use her powers to pretend to be this person. [[spoiler:Dolly quickly became Misaki's only friend, and soon after we find out that Dolly knew from the start Misaki wasn't Mi-chan.]]
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: "Dolly" is a nickname based on her project code name. Unlike other Misaka clones, we never find out her serial number. She was originally assumed to be Misaka 00000, Full-Tuning, but that turned out to be someone different.
* PosthumousCharacter: Dolly was an experimental prototype. She died not long after [[spoiler:Misaki befriended her. However, it turns out to be {{subverted}} as her mind was uploaded to another body.]]
* PrehensileHair: [[spoiler:Dolly's second body can control her long hair and use them as the "rails" for her own version of a railgun]].
* VerbalTic: Notably averted; unlike the other clones, she speaks normally. This lends more credence to the fan theory that the clones' narration is how they upload data to the Misaka Network. The network didn't even exist when Dolly was made, so there was no need for that.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Apparently dies after she is introduced, which is also only a short time [[spoiler:after she meets Misaki, but {{subverted}} when it's revealed her memories were uploaded to another body.]]

!!Full-Tuning/Misaka 00000

A mysterious clone of unknown purpose. Originally readers mistakenly believed the second Dolly clone was Full-Tuning, but it turns out that she is a distinct character.
----

* AmbiguousSituation:
** It is unclear if she came before or after Dolly. Since Dolly was explicitly the experimental clone, that implies she was the very first, but Full-Tuning being number 00000 would imply that no one came before her.
** Where she is now, and if she is still alive. 19090 and Dion Fortune mention her, but not in any way that can narrow down her location.
** Her purpose. She was originally assumed to be Dolly, part of the "tuning" of the Network, but that was confirmed to be incorrect by WordOfGod. Other than that, there's very little to go on. The common theory is that she has a full personality (with one vocal part of the fandom believing that she is [[spoiler:literally Misaka Mikoto]]), but that's just speculation.
* TheGhost: She has yet to show up in either the novels or the manga. The only sign that she exists is a few characters mentioning her, implying she's still alive.

->Voiced by: Nozomi Sasaki (JP), Creator/BrittneyKarbowski (EN)\

The 9982nd clone in the Radio Noise project, as well as the first clone that Mikoto meets. The two spend the afternoon together before she heads to die at the scheduled experiment, sparking the Railgun version of the Sisters arc.
----
* AnArmAndALeg: Gets her leg ripped off by Accelerator.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: When she steals Mikoto's ice cream.
* BrutalHonesty: This exchange when she tastes her first cup of tea:
--> '''Researcher''': How is it? It's a really high quality tea that costs 20000 yen per can.\
'''Misaka 9982''': It's horrible.\
[...]\
'''Misaka 9982''': My very first tea is this crap?! Misaka laments over her misfortune.
* ClassifiedInformation: Her response when asked by Mikoto about the project.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Killed by Accelerator dropping a ''locomotive'' on her, but not before getting her leg violently ripped off by him.
%%zce* DeadpanSnarker: Far more than the other clones.
* DoomedByCanon: She's clone 9982. All clones before 10032 were killed by Accelerator. What do you ''think'' is going to happen to her?
* EmotionlessGirl: Although that doesn't stop her from being very snarky.
* GallowsHumor: "Misaka objects to the childish taste of the Original." Her comment to the first and last gift she ever received.
* HopeSpot: She managed to catch Accelerator by surprise by planting a landmine. Unfortunately, while surprised, it didn't harm him at all.
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Doesn't mind dressing up in front of other people, or flipping up her skirt to save a kitten.
* KillTheCutie: After they meet, she and Mikoto spend the afternoon squabbling like sisters until Mikoto finds out about the experiments and arrives just in time to see her smashed by a locomotive.
* KindheartedCatLover: Mikoto meets her when she's rescuing a cat from a tree.
* LiteralMinded:
--> '''Researcher''': The people [in the outside world] are packed like sardines, though.\
'''Misaka 9982''': People are packed in containers?!
* SacrificialLamb: She exists to show up, let Mikoto know that she has clones and get attached to one and then die without being able to do a thing. Her death sparks the darkest arc in the Railgun storyline.
* SquashedFlat: She meets her end when Accelerator drops a locomotive on her.

!!Misaka 10031
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/railguns_misaka_10031.jpg]]
->Voiced by: Nozomi Sasaki (JP), Creator/BrittneyKarbowski (EN)\

The last Sister to be killed in the experiments, and the first one Touma meets. She seems to be quite introspective and sensitive.
----
* AscendedExtra: Misaka 10031 only appears briefly in the ''Index'' light novel and anime. In ''Railgun'', however, she has a small character arc spread out over multiple chapters/episodes.
* FamilyUnfriendlyDeath: One of the most horrifying in the series. Accelerator kills her by reversing the flow of blood in her circulatory system, with [[BloodyHorror violently distributed results]]. The actual moment, as depicted in ''Railgun'', is [[GoryDiscretionShot mercifully obscured]], but we vaguely glimpse bits of the aftermath in both anime adaptations. The light novel describes the scene as Touma finds it a few minutes later in brief but disturbing detail.
* LosingAShoeInTheStruggle: She loses a shoe while frantically dodging one of Accelerator's attacks, then ditches the other one as she retreats. Touma stumbles upon them while looking for Misaka 10032. This leads to him discovering her body, and thence learning about the Sisters and the experiments. This in turn causes him to visit Mikoto's dorm, which results in him learning about Project Level 6 Shift and, ultimately, taking action to shut it down.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Although her appearance in the story is brief, she plays two critical roles: first, she reveals to Mikoto that Project Level 6 Shift is still active; second, thanks to a series of small coincidences, her death triggers the events leading to Touma stopping the project for good.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Dies one (in-universe) day after being introduced. In the ''Railgun'' spin-off, a handful of brief scenes are told from her point of view first, which just drives it home harder.
* WhatIsThisFeeling: Mikoto, while in the midst of a HeroicBSOD, screams at Misaka 10031 to stay away from her. Misaka 10031 is sad at being rejected, but lacks the capacity to contextualize the feeling except as a strange pain in her chest. She asks the project's medical team to check her out, but their thoughtless remarks only make things worse. She spends her last day of life believing Mikoto despises her, and wondering if her imminent death is for the best.
* YankTheDogsChain: The anime adaptations intersperse her battle against Accelerator with Touma anxiously searching for her. In the ''Railgun'' version especially, it looks for some time as though [[HopeSpot he might arrive in time to save her]]. He doesn't. That said, what he learns in the process does ultimately allow him to save Misaka 10032, and all the remaining Sisters.

!!Misaka Imouto/Misaka 10032
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/10032_cat.jpg]]
-> Voiced by: Nozomi Sasaki (JP), Creator/BrittneyKarbowski (EN)\

The 10032nd clone in the Radio Noise project. Nicknamed "Misaka Imouto" (Little Sister Misaka) by Touma. She was saved by Touma from the project by defeating Accelerator. Since then, she and the other clones are undergoing personality rehabilitation. She is one of the clones which remained in Academy City, while several others were distributed around the world.
-----
* BadassAdorable: Comes with being Mikoto's "little sister".
* BreakoutCharacter: She started off as just the Sister that Touma got close to and saved from Accelerator, but as time went on she became the main viewpoint character and representative of the Sisters outside of the special cases like Last Order and Worst.
* CloneAngst: As with the rest of the clones, although she's most notable because she's the first one who goes to the experiment regretting that she won't survive the night.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Shows shades of this, such as considering naming her cat "Dog".
* ColdSniper: Though she is [[FriendlySniper very kind]], she is focused during a mission.
* DamselInDistress: She gets kidnapped a ''lot''. At least Last Order has the excuse of being the [[KeystoneArmy keystone of the Network]]; 10032 just has really bad luck.
* ADogNamedDog: Subverted when she finds a stray cat. When Touma asks what she wants to name it, she replies "Dog."
-->''"A cat named 'dog'. [[EmotionlessGirl Heh heh heh.]]"''
* GogglesDoSomethingUnusual: They let her see in the electromagnetic spectrum.
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: She seems to neither care nor ''notice'' that Touma’s getting an eye-full of her striped panties, [[spoiler:places his hand on her chest in order to perform readings after he wakes up from a battle, and doesn't bat an eyelash to Touma seeing her completely naked while she undergoes her body adjustments]]. She is definitely toying with Touma in her own weird way, but she still thought nothing of stripping her skirt off in a crowded mall.
* KindheartedCatLover: With Schrodinger/Inu/Tokugawa Ieyasu. [[ImTakingHerHomeWithMe Can I take her home with me?]]
* {{Moe}}: She invokes this trope as part of her NarratingThePresent, which makes it an in-universe example of this trope. When asking Touma for help finding her goggles, she said that she made her eyes bigger to "suggest vulnerability", and when Touma suggested switching her necklace for a different one she took a melancholy posture while saying how she had "too many things taken from her already today".
* NonchalantDodge: While playing a game of tag during the SchoolFestival, her opponents found "[[TwinSwitch Mikoto]]" far more slippery than expected.
-->'''10032:''' Misaka has fought over ten thousand battles with a man who could kill with a touch. You will not catch her so easily.
* NotSoStoic:
** An interesting case of this. If you pay close attention to the way she talks and acts, you'll find that she's actually pretty quirky and can get rather emotional at times (such as [[DisproportionateRetribution hunting down Last Order with a rifle]] for [[FelonyMisdemeanor taking her goggles]]). It's just that she always uses [[LetsGetDangerous the same tone of voice and facial expression]] due to her being a clone and not really knowing how to express her emotions, like when chasing down Last Order with a rifle for [[FelonyMisdemeanor taking her goggles]].
** [[spoiler:When she's used as the delivery point for Gensei's custom virus to force the Level Shift 6 on Mikoto, she ''screams'' in very noticeable pain.]]
* RescueRomance: While all the surviving Sisters undergo this with Touma, it's most noticeable with 10032 since she's the Sister Touma physically saved from Accelerator and the one he majorly interacts with afterwards. To drive it home, when she meets up with Touma and Mikoto together, she effectively tells the latter to her face she has no interest in just handing off Touma to her and when Mikoto fervently denies any attraction, 10032 takes the opportunity to make a "bold" move to hug Touma's arm closely.
* SugarAndIcePersonality: She's actually a warm and kind-hearted girl who just has trouble expressing emotions due to being a clone, and therefore not having had practice expressing them.
* TranquilFury: When Last Order steals her goggles, she pulls an assault rifle out and goes on the hunt.
* TwinSwitch: Briefly, during the SchoolFestival, she takes Mikoto's place in the games. [[spoiler:She gets kidnapped when Mikoto isn't paying attention and used to upload the virus that forces Mikoto into the Level 6 Shift.]]
* WhatMeasureIsAMook: When fighting against Accelerator, Touma interrupts their fight in order to take him on and save her. She insists that she was ready to die, and that there would be countless other clones like her to continue the experiment. Touma calls her rationale foolish, and states that while she has many sisters, there's only one of her. This causes the remaining sisters to reconsider dying so pointlessly for the experiment, and they help Touma to defeat Accelerator.
* YouAreNumberSix: She normally goes by her production number, just like every other Misaka. But when she introduces herself to Kongou as "Misaka 10032," Kongou is very confused, and suggests calling her "Ichi" ("one") instead. 10032 jumps on this surprisingly quickly.
-->'''Mikoto:''' Hang on, you ''like'' it?

The 10046th clone in the Radio Noise project. She is one of the few remaining clones in Academy City, and is involved in the first arc of ''Manga/ACertainScientificAccelerator''.
----
* DamselInDistress: She gets kidnapped by DA because she stood up to them and they needed a hostage to get away clean.
* LivingMacGuffin: Despite being grabbed at random, Mitsuhiko Hishigata recognizes that he can use her for his necromancy. While he originally wanted Last Order in order to download the 10031 deaths from the Network, he realized he could use any Sister.
* RescueRomance: She is implied to have a crush on Accelerator after he rescued her.
* {{Technopath}}: When captured, she tried to use her powers to hack the robotic arms. It didn't work because her captor knocked her out, but points for trying.

The 10777th clone in the Radio Noise project, she was sent to Russia. During WWIII, she met up with Mikoto. Together, they evacuated towns, disabled nukes, and defeated forces on both sides to prevent casualties.

* BigDamnHeroes: As the StarOfBethlehem is falling apart, she flies a VTOL up to rescue Touma. Subverted when he doesn't board.
* HopelessSuitor: Has a crush on Touma, just like all her sisters. Unlike Mikoto and 10032, she lives in Russia.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: Courtesy of spending her entire screentime with her big sister.

One of the few remaining clones in Academy City, and also perhaps the most emotional of the entire network.
----
* ChekhovsGunman: In a strange and convoluted way. She's the first clone to display the ability to ''hide'' thoughts from the network. She went on a diet (to attract Touma), and the other Sisters didn't realize it until they noticed she was skinnier than everyone else. However, in Railgun, she's the clone in the tank that had the emotions uploaded to her, which were then blocked by Last Order from going to the rest of the clones. No one knew about this until she tells Shinobu about it during the final arc of Railgun S. It's likely that this is what caused her to hide her dieting plans from the rest of the clones. It's a straight example once one considers the timeline in universe, as opposed to when things were released.
* EmotionlessGirl: Averted, actually. In the Railgun anime, it's revealed that she acquired emotions after Shinobu attempted to upload them to the Network. The final scenes of the anime show her drinking tea and ''smiling'', while her sisters look on expressionless.
* HopelessSuitor: Goes on a secret diet in an attempt to attract Touma.

The 20001st clone of the Radio Noise project, who serves as the administrator for the MISAKA network. As a result, she has more raw power than the other sisters, putting her at Level 3.
-----
* ACupAngst: She is very jealous of Misaka Worst's breasts. She doesn't take it well when Worst says she won't get to her level because they've been grown with different hormones.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: To the rest of the Network, despite the fact that she's technically their superior, because she was the last clone made. She has a similar dynamic with Accelerator. She plays keep-away with 032's googles ("says Misaka Misaka, making fun of Misaka!" and splashes Accelerator with water.
* BlushSticker: The pink spots are constantly present on her face, which helps separating her from more mature Sisters.
* CheerfulChild: Unlike the other 20,000 Sister clones, she's quite capable of expressing emotions and is quite a cheerful girl. This is a big clue that she's not a "normal" Misaka clone.
* ClingyJealousGirl: When she first runs into Esther Rosenthal, who was sitting in Accelerator's hospital room, she immediately grows suspicious and starts asking who she was. Esther claims to be sort of a classmate of his and wanted his help with something, but is stopped short by him from revealing too much. Last Order gets upset and throws the three take out meals she brought at his face.
* CompulsorySchoolAge: In New Testament, Yoshikawa and Accelerator discuss enrolling her in school in an attempt to give her something of a normal life. Last Order vehemently objects.
* CrocodileTears: When Accelerator scolds her for leaving the apartment and running off on her own after stealing Misaka 10032's goggles. [[BadLiar Flatout admits it]] too, of course, due to her VerbalTic.
* DamselInDistress: Despite being Level 3, her powers are underdeveloped, putting her in several dangerous situations involving those who want to tamper with the MISAKA network.
* DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment: Being the least mature of them, Last Order is an even bigger CaptainObvious than the rest of the Sisters by using ThirdPersonPerson twice to [[NarratingThePresent narrate how she says something]], and after every sentence.
* {{Foil}}: To Index, as she's also a PrettyFreeloader and {{Deuteragonist}} in Accelerator's arcs, and both tend to bother their guardians. While Index is a magician with a childish attitude, Last Order is an ArtificialHuman and an actual child.
* GenkiGirl: She typically acts like a little kid on a sugar rush.
* HiddenDepths: Every once in a while she turns off her cheerful persona, reminding viewers that she has full access to all the memories of the Network, including their 10,031 deaths.
* HiveQueen: She's the central administrator of the MISAKA Network, with the ability to override (almost) any viruses and give orders which they must obey. Of course, since the other Sisters are all [[TinMan Tin Men]] and she's a GenkiGirl, they mostly ignore her unless she forces the issue.
* HopelessSuitor: It's clear that she has a PrecociousCrush on Accelerator. It's just as clear that he doesn't reciprocate, viewing her as a little sister instead.
* IdiotHair: While childish, she's by no means an idiot so instead [[PlayingWithATrope it's possibly intended to show her status as the "control tower" for the Sisters.]] (Though there's also the possibility that it's simply because her body is physically around the age when the original Misaka had a pronounced IdiotHair herself.)
* KeystoneArmy: Her status as the administrator of the Network means it is virtually impossible to mind control individual Sisters (either through a virus or powers). However, it also means she is the single point of failure, as a virus uploaded through her cannot be resisted by the rest of the Network. [[spoiler:The only time the Network was forcibly hijacked ''without'' Last Order was when Kihara Gensei used Exterior, which allowed him to use an amplified version of [[MindControl Misaki's]] powerset to forcibly upload a custom virus through Misaka 10032 to the Network that Last Order couldn't do a thing about.]]
* KidWithTheLeash: She controls the Misaka Network which [[spoiler:Accelerator must rely on for calculations after taking brain damage. At one point, she decides that she doesn’t like his tone and casually strips him of the ability to speak coherently, though getting strangled by his blanket likely discouraged her from pulling that again.]]
* MacGuffinSuperPerson: As the central controller of the Sister network, she has been captured at least twice in an effort to upload a virus to all the other Sisters.
* MoralityChain: [[spoiler: When Accelerator goes nuts in Volume 15, falling into an UnstoppableRage from Kakine stabbing Yomikawa, only her words stop him from attacking anyone else.]]
* MoralityPet: She is the reason Accelerator started down the path of heroism. [[spoiler:When he goes nuts in Volume 15 and falls into an UnstoppableRage from Kakine stabbing Yomikawa, she is quite literally the ''only'' thing he can't bring himself to attack, his black wings stopping just short of her no matter how many times he tries]].
* MotorMouth: Unless the situation is really serious, she never shuts up.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: When interrogating Esther about who she is and how she knows Accelerator, she drops the VerbalTic altogether.
* TokenMiniMoe: Among the Sisters, she is the smallest, which she claims were the result of being taken out of her incubator early.
* VerbalTic: In addition to NarratingThePresent she announces herself as the topic of the conversation twice (''Misaka wa Misaka wa'') which isn't really translatable. Most translators go with "[normal speech] Misaka says, as Misaka [action].", though Funimation's translations just have her calling herself "Misaka Misaka".
* VocalEvolution: Hidaka gives her a higher-pitched voice after the first season.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: [[spoiler:With the advent of the MISAKA Worst clones, Aleister planned to replace her with a MISAKA Worst-version administrator. Accelerator thwarts this, fortunately.]]

Third generation, higher-level (Level 4) and high school version of the clones fully designed for combat purposes.
----
%%* AlphaBitch: To the clones [[spoiler: and everyone else.]]
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: She seems to be this way towards Accelerator. It helps this perspective that she doesn't like the 'Hero', [[spoiler:Touma Kamijou.]] In fact, [[IronicFear she is afraid of him because he's never treated her sisters badly]].
* AintTooProudToBeg: After a brutal beating inflicted by a stressed-out Accelerator, she pleads for help.
* AxCrazy: Justified. She was literally designed to be this by genetic manipulation; she runs off the negative emotions in the MISAKA Network and had Accelerator's old thought patterns forced into her. [[spoiler:Averted after making a HeelFaceTurn by expanding on the implication that she mostly just hates Accelerator and the researchers.]]
%%* BadPowersBadPeople:
%%* BelligerentSexualTension: With Accelerator.
* BeingTorturedMakesYouEvil: Look down at the DarkAndTroubledPast below.
* BigBreastPride: She's very proud of the fact that she has the most impressive bust of all her sisters, including the original. She trolls them about it, too, noting that since she was grown with different hormones there's no guarantee they'll be the same.
* BloodKnight: Although she is this, Worst points out in NT 3 that when she's not with Accelerator, she loses interest.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Has demonstrated the ability to break the fourth wall.
--> '''Worst''': Oh, Misaka never said that. Maybe she was talking about number of appearances.\
'''Mikoto''': Now you’ve said it!!
* BreakTheHaughty: Administers this to Umidori so much that she ''makes her cry''.
* BullyingADragon: Her advantage against Accelerator almost entirely depends on his emotional hang-ups over harming another Sister. She eventually pushed him too far by threatening Last Order, and would live to regret it. [[spoiler:Then again, she ''knew'' this would happen, but it didn't really matter to her since [[LaserGuidedTykeBomb she wasn't meant to survive past dealing with him anyways]].]]
* ClingyJealousGirl: In NT, notable for being against her will. Since she's an EnemyWithout, she expresses all negative emotions, including jealousy. So when Last Order is feeling a strong bout of jealousy, HilarityEnsues.
%%* DarkActionGirl
%%* DarkMagicalGirl
%%* TheDarkSide: She often states that she lives for this.
* EnemyWithout: Sort of; Misaka Worst is the outlet of the negative feelings of the original network. Her will can be overtaken if the negativity is too strong.
%%zce* EvilTwin: [[spoiler:Initially. Later, she just becomes a {{Jerkass}} twin.]]
* EvilCounterpart: To Misaka Mikoto, Last Order, and pretty much all of the clones.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: [[spoiler: In NT volume 3, while Worst is jamming all the cameras, she confesses that she's worried about putting Accelerator in danger.]]
* TheGadfly: It seems that if she doesn't get to be evil, she's at least going to do her best to screw with people.
* GoodColorsEvilColors: Her lightning is purple, compared to the original's blue.
* TheGunslinger: Shows signs of being able to use guns pretty well. Seems to be able to keep up with Shiage.
* HeelFaceTurn: Teams up with [[spoiler:Accelerator]] after [[spoiler:trying to kill Last Order and him under orders from Academy City.]]
%%* HellishPupils
* IronicFear: Of Touma; unlike the other Sisters. This is justified, as she values herself as the negative embodiment of the Misaka network, and NONE of the Sisters have negative feelings about him, making her fear him as dangerous to her existence.
%%* {{Jerkass}}
* LamePunReaction: When Accelerator tells her to be careful with Last Order, she responds with "Well, shucks! This is what Misaka is ''worst'' at!" Accelerator is far from being amused, reminding her that she's lucky she's useful to him or else...
* LaserGuidedTykeBomb: [[spoiler:Sent out to break Accelerator by either forcing him to kill her (which would break him), kill Last Order, kill him since he doesn't want to reflect her attacks and is relying on dodging or in a worst-case scenario simply die in front of him. Her entire mental outlook is more or less shaped around making her hate Accelerator and herself.]]
* LightIsNotGood: So far, Worst has been dressing in purely white outfits, but that doesn't match her persona.
* MaleGaze: Gets this treatment in the anime, with many shots of her ass during her fight against Accelerator.
* MalevolentMaskedWoman: She originally appears wearing a metal face mask that only lets some of her hair loose.
* MindRape: [[spoiler:To Accelerator. Technically, she fails although she does break him. Accelerator doesn't die, Last Order doesn't die and she herself survives. After the whole thing, Accelerator is even better off due to Touma knocking some sense into him, figuratively and literally.]]
* MoralityPet: [[spoiler: It is strongly hinted that interactions with Accelerator reform her. Yes, one of the Misaka clones is becoming less evil because of someone who was made less evil by a different Misaka clone.]]
* MotiveRant: [[DarkAndTroubledPast She kind of has a point.]]
-->'''Misaka Worst''': [[spoiler:Misaka was created in order to kill [Accelerator]. Misaka didn’t particularly want to be born, but she was forced to do so. In order to cut off the signals from Last Order, her skin was cut open and a bunch of strange sheets and selectors were embedded within. If it weren’t for you, none of that would have happened. If you hadn’t made that decision, Misaka would never have been born. And even if she had been, it would not have been in that way that cut off all chance for a future. ‘It hurts. Help.’ By the time Misaka learned those words, she was already in a situation where she could not say them. That is why Misaka has the right to blame you. That is why she has a reason to kill you.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:Spends her first appearance trying to either kill Accelerator or break him mentally. When she succeeds in driving him insane, she instantly regrets it, begging him to calm down and snap out of it.]]
* NailEm: She can use Mikoto's Railgun technique... except she uses a nail instead of a coin.
* NominalHero: She has no desire to help people or make friends. She only fights bad guys because she likes kicking ass and it's convenient for her to do so.
%%* OddFriendship: Needs more explanation on how they're odd %%
%%** Her and Kuronyan.
%%---> '''Misaka Worst''': How about we join forces as the villain girl combo?
%%** Her and [[spoiler: Shiage]] counts too in the middle of [[spoiler: NT volume 3.]]
* PsychoElectro: She’s designed to channel the negative emotions that the other Sisters couldn’t express.
* RedOniBlueOni: She is far higher energy than the dry Accelerator, and one of the few people who consistently spends time with him. Poor Accelerator- both the genki-girl clone and the teasing clone hang around him.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Gives Accelerator a scathing one for believing that trying to save just Last Order can make up for the brutal murder of over 10,000 other Sisters.
* SheIsAllGrownUp: She's an older, high-school version of Misaka Mikoto.
* ShipTease:
** With Accelerator, such as the "ice cream licking" tease.
** Averted with [[spoiler: Touma]] and to a certain extent [[spoiler: Shiage]], in whom she has no interest.
* SlasherSmile: Her smile puts her craziness on full display.
* TheTease: In New Testament Volume 1.
--> '''Misaka Worst''': Should Misaka use her tongue seductively as she licks [the ice cream]?\
'''Accelerator''': Who are you trying to please by doing that? Yourself?\
'''Misaka Worst''': Well, there is that. If it would be devastating to your relationship with Last Order, Misaka will let you touch her tits and ass, but doing it now would seem rather pointless.
* {{Tsundere}}:
** She has show slight signs of this towards Accelerator because of the aforementioned use of EnemyWithout.
---> '''Misaka Worst''': Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!! Misaka doesn’t care about him, so why!?
** In New Testament Volume 3, she remarks that when she isn't with Accelerator, she loses interest in picking fights. In short, Accelerator's proximity is her tsun trigger.
* WouldHurtAChild:
** She tried to kill [[spoiler:Last Order.]]
** In New Testament volume 3, she doesn't hold back on Umidori. [[spoiler:She keeps this up even after she makes Umidori cry.]]
* VaporWear: The jumpsuit she wears in the anime suggests she doesn't wear anything else.
* VerbalTic: Exchanges the typical self-narration of a Sister for a more standard take on being a ThirdPersonPerson.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: [[spoiler: Academy City made sure that whatever was the outcome of her fight with Accelerator, she would self-destruct. Who saves her? The broken, dead-inside Accelerator that just broke her arm due to being brutally {{Mind Rape}}d by her.]] And in a different way, [[spoiler:her generation of clones were intended to be this towards the previous set of clones. However, Accelerator appears to have forced them to stop production.]]

!!The Will of the Misaka Network
-> Voiced by: Nozomi Sasaki (As a Misaka clone)/Creator/RinaHidaka (As Last Order)
[[quoteright:1000:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/misaka_network_if.png]]
[[caption-width-right:1000:''"I am the large will created by the whole of the Misaka Network /return. Nice to meetcha☆ /return."'']]
The Misaka Network itself. It is capable of thought and action independent of the Sisters that comprise it, but normally this requires special circumstances.
----
* GenkiGirl: It is cheerful and energetic, giving Touma a big friendly wave moments after [[spoiler:preventing him from comitting suicide]]. Considering the contrast with most of the Sisters, this is often the first sign that the Will has taken over.
* GrandTheftMe: It can focus itself through any of the Sisters in order to speak to others, though the Sister in question seems to be unaware while this is happening. Misaka WORST is apparently the exception, as she is not truly part of the Network, she simply "hacked in."
* HiveMind: It ''is'' the hive mind. The exact circumstances are a bit unclear, but it seems to act as a mind behind the individual Sisters. Last Order is the administrator, but not actually in control of the collective itself.
* NoBiologicalSex: Granted, it can ''technically'' be called female due to being created from the Sisters' minds and usually manifests physically through using a Sister as a mouthpiece, but being for all intents and purposes a thought being makes it this.
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: Due to the way angels work in this universe, it has the potential to become an angel in the same way the Level Upper network did. [[spoiler:This was done twice, with Kazakiri and with Mikoto.]]
* RippleEffectProofMemory: It retains its memories of [[spoiler:the original world despite Othinus drastically altering reality, as it exists in a state between life and death.]]
* SpannerInTheWorks: [[spoiler:Its intervention prevents Touma from committing suicide in the Othinus' constructed Omega Phase and its resulting pep-talk gives him the courage to finally reject it and fight for his own reasons. Had it not done either of these, ''Othinus would have won''.]]
* SuperMode: [[spoiler:When fused with Hyouka Kazakiri, it can turn her into FUZE=Kazakiri, an artificial angel. It's also revealed that doing the same to ''Mikoto'' can drive her to Level 6 if circumstances are right.]]
* VerbalTic: Unlike the Sisters, it doesn't narrate itself. Instead, it constantly says "Escape" and "Return", as it speaks like a typed message.
* WhatTheHellHero: [[spoiler:Speaking through Last Order, it berates Accelerator for trying to take the easy way out in his path to redemption by becoming a DeathSeeker (ironically, Shizuri Mugino had scolded him about this earlier, but he forgot quickly). It says if he doesn't shape up and struggle to fight the darkness with everything he has, it will throw him into a Hell several times larger than he can imagine.]]
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: [[spoiler:Gives one to Touma during the events of NT9 in the Omega Phase, eventually getting him to realise that while the constructed world is 'perfect', he still wants to fight to bring his original one back.]] Notably, it chooses this route to convince Touma to fight Othinus, [[spoiler:despite knowing he'd immediately do it if it simply told him it was being [[SecretlyDying 'overwritten']].]]
