The short instrumental songs that give each series of ''Franchise/{{Digimon}}'' its unique mood (rock, classical, flute, jazz, etc.) are wonderful enough to be featured in the ''Uta to Ongaku Shuu'' albums (which were two per series until ''Anime/DigimonDataSquad'').

!!!Movies
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqBDMcxEm3Y Requiem]] from the second movie's finale. It may not be as fast-paced as most of the other songs here, but it easily matches them in sheer levels of awesome. Not only did that song make Omnimon/Omegamon's first appearance truly epic, but it also made Imperialdramon Paladin Mode's appearance epic (that's movies 2 and 4). Also, in the strangest of places, the song was used for Mercurymon's opera style battle with Takuya (Digimon Frontier). Watching a main hero get beaten to death with this music only makes the scenes more awesome and symbolic.
%%* From the Japanese Digimon Movies, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnZ1xi4B09E Bokura no War Game]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zbk4nE4Iao Friend Itsu Mademo Wasurenai]], two rather unusual songs.
* From Battle of Adventurers, the Tamers' first film, 5th overall, the wonderfull [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=763CHDzeqNc Moving on]], makes the listener feel like he's in a platform game.
* Remember X-Evolution? Apparently they have released a (very epic orchestra) soundtrack, of which we can only hear the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqbuMptjp_Y opening]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_KwKEkYGKs Dorumon sad, cue evolution]].
* The first dubbed movie (i.e. concatenation of the first three) is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQ7sJDEXNUM capped off by an oddly epic cover]] (by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn7zPdizrqk Len]]) of "Kids In America".
** During the Parrotmon segment, the English dub has the reveal of Greymon be accompanied by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKxkQ5gsagQ&t=12s a remix of the dub's main theme]] that unfortunately doesn't appear on the soundtrack.

--->'''Tai:''' You can be whoever you want... Big guy...
--->'''BGM:''' ''Digimon, Digital Monsters, Digimon are the champions!''
--->'''Greymon:''' '''''NOVA FLAME!'''''
%%** From the same movie comes [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F908dmHeRE4 Final Battle]], which plays during the, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin well]], FinalBattle.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EMR15Fm48s "The Power of Love"]] in which Tai and Matt give War Greymon and Metalgarurumon their HeroicSecondWind.
* From the ''Digimon Adventure'' pilot movie, where it all started: we are treated to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rb8Ke8JJhL0 the short version of Butter-Fly]], with Kouji Wada singing a cappella at the beginning. It's incredibly powerful.

!!!Video Games
Note that most ''Digimon'' games have different soundtracks depending on whether it is the original Japanese version or an English translation; one of the most common changes is the removal of themes based on songs from the anime, though they never put equivalents from the dub in.

%%* From ''VideoGame/DigimonWorldDS'': [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxSHPU5oMrg Digivolution.]]
* From ''VideoGame/DigimonWorldDawnDusk'', the theme of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWgJ-t0cQQ4 Kowloon Co]] perfectly sums up both their jovial and intimidating sides to help them stick out.
%%** These two remixes of the battle themes, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osnHmDhrOZo theme 1]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v5Vyutztgk theme 2]].
* The Japanese version of ''VideoGame/DigimonRumbleArena'' features instrumental covers of the Japanese openings and inserts up to that point (save ''The Biggest Dreamer'', which was its opening theme in its original form). They're all fantastic, with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWUicCrFwAk Butter-fly]] expectedly being a standout.
* An unlikely entry is ''VideoGame/DigimonBattle'', a Korean MMO which has an [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4Ea71D8wgE epic battle theme]], and an inspired [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLVlyED4Jmo title screen music]].
%%* Though poorly received as a game, ''VideoGame/DigimonAllStarRumble'' has a decent soundtrack, with the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwBmPD-yEZQ Lava Pit Area / Arena]] and the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y3h1Hjkojo Proton Shrine Arena]] some of the stand outs.
* ''VideoGame/DigimonStoryCyberSleuth'' features a fantastic soundtrack, but one of the biggest standouts is the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DG8JVZvPq0 final boss theme]], which is a two-parter. Part one is dark and desperate, but part two, as the final boss fight ''really'' starts, the theme becomes bombastic and climactic, starting off with an epic remix of the game's title theme.
* For a game that is [[NoExportForYou only available in Japan]], ''VideoGame/DigimonWorldReDigitize'' has [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBAvlhyhnAA one of the most awesome battle themes]] of ''Digimon'' games. It's also reused for ''Digimon Links'', a ''Digimon''-based android game that (thankfully) has an English version.
