!!Volume One
* Just as a taster, we see the group's attempt to bring down "the Holy Ghost". The two men get trounced by the invisible foe, who makes for the door, to face Mina holding a bucket of whitewash.
-->''(Mina throws the contents of the bucket in front of her, revealing her opponent, who is momentarily stalled by a mouthful of whitewash)''
-->'''Allan Quartermain:''' There he goes! Somebody do -
-->''(Mina [[ClickHello decks her opponent with the empty bucket]], [=KOing=] him)''
-->'''Allan:''' - something.
** ''That's'' why they made her the leader.
* After Mina slaps Dr. Jekyll to provoke his transformation, Hyde -- in full, grotesque form -- grabs her hand and looms over her in typical terrifying fashion to inform her of how little he appreciates it. Her response is to politely, calmly and unflinchingly inform ''him'' that he is hurting her hand and that she would very much appreciate it if he were to let her go. Much to everyone's surprise -- including Hyde's -- he does so.
* Sherlock Holmes's [[OneSceneWonder one scene]]. He's cornered by Moriarty at Reichenbach Falls, and not only does he FaceDeathWithDignity, but figures out that Moriarty is employed by the British Empire, throws him to the rocks below the falls, and fakes his death despite being shot at by Sebastian Moran.
* The Air-War between the respective 'armies' of Fu Manchu and Professor Moriarty.
* Mina facing down Moriarty.
** Especially satisfying when she makes Moriarty 'fall into the sky' after taking out his ship's Cavorite power source following his 'smelly little lesbian' remark.
* Allan taking out Moriarty's men, and snapping Mina out of her trance so she could take down Moriarty.
* "Come '''forward'''! Come forward, men of '''England'''! ''[[PreMortemOneLiner Tell the Gods that Nemo sent you!]]''"
* The elderly thief who's in charge of a group of urchin pickpockets ends up rescuing the majority of Limehouse's inhabitants by leading them into the sewers during the battle between Moriarty and the Doctor. The best part? It's heavily implied that the old man is [[Literature/OliverTwist The Artful Dodger]].
--> '''Dodger''': Air war, thats something ''new''. Needs artful solution, it does.
* The team fleeing Fu Manchu's secret hideout under the Thames with the Cavorite, by smashing through the tunnel glass ceiling. In the process, they drown most of his minions in the base AND destroy his airship.

!!Volume 2
* Hyde attacking a Martian War Machine singlehandedly.
** This surely requires elaboration. The tripods are preparing to cross London bridge, the government are preparing to launch a weapon of last resort, but might not have the time. Edward Hyde, blood knight that he is, volunteers to slow them down by engaging them directly. After a tear jerking farewell to Mina, he saunters down the bridge to meet the first, singing a jaunty tune... and gets crisped. A moment or two pass where it looks like he'd failed, only he gets up and charges at the tripod, mad as all get out, and breaks a tripod's leg off, toppling it and ripping the hatch open. He then proceeds to devour the martian piloting the thing, which makes noises that can only be martian screams of terror.
--> '''Hyde''': That bloody ''HURT'', you x&#!!
--> '''Hyde''': Hello, old chap! [[PreMortemOneLiner Welcome to England!]]
** Made even more awesome by the Martians' terrified nuking of him directly thereafter and Nemo's comment that we may never know if the aliens had emotions originally but Hyde certainly taught them fear.
*** Surely we cannot forget Hyde's brutal domination of Hawely Griffin! Sure, the scene was 100% fearsome, but to watch that smug little bastard finally get his just desserts was most satisfying.
*** This also follows Hyde essentially trolling Griffin with a perfectly placed lie in the first volume; The others are, essentially, helpless against Griffin. But Hyde? Hyde can actually ''see'' the little bastard.
* Nemo rescuing Jimmy Gray.
* Nemo, after finding out that Hyde (brutally) murdered Griffin, tries to kill him with just his sword without giving it a second thought. That took serious guts considering he and everyone knows what type of monster Hyde is, such as being able to take down a tripod single handily.

!!The Black Dossier
* The entire space-port sequence in the Black Dossier for the rejuvenated Alan Quatermain. In short order, he knees Bulldog Drummond in the groin, slams a suitcase into Emma Peel's face, and blows up the car James F-ing Bond is pursuing him and Mina in with a well-aimed shot of his elephant gun. One gets the feeling that Alan Moore thought the "British adventure hero" archetype peaked with Quatermain, and he wanted to make a point of this by showing him to be superior to his "successors".
** Not to mention the awesomely-designed RaygunGothic spaceships that they end up hijacking to escape. The '50s sci-fi SceneryPorn in that whole sequence is practically worth the full price of the book.
** This is pretty much stated outright the first time Quatermain and Murray beat up Bond (which is a moment of awesome itself); Quatermain looks down at the prone form of Bond and is prompted to sneer:
--->'''Quatermain''': So this is what it's come to? The British adventure hero? Pathetic.
*** The whole lead-in to that scene is fairly awesome too. Mina (posing as a parody of a Bond girl) plays up the whole DamselInDistress angle convincingly as Bond moves in close and tries to have his way with her. She's protesting feebly, looking as helpless as can be...[[NotSoHarmlessVillain then she knocks him out cold with one smack across the face with her purse]]. Then, as Bond's lying on the floor with a busted jaw, Mina's purse falls open...and we see that she was hiding a brick in her purse the whole time.
* Right at the end of "Black Dossier", Alan Moore suddenly proved that all of fiction means ''all'' of fiction, when Allan and Mina are rescued by a blimp piloted by The Gollywog. The look of confused, childlike awe on Bulldog Drummond's face is a thing of beauty like unto no other.
* In a great example of AuthorAppeal, Allan Quatermain beating the living hell out of Franchise/JamesBond.

!!Volume 3: Century
* Janni, disgraced after her rape, deciding that she had enough and fired the flare gun to the night sky. It made the most glorious giant firework. This signaled the crews of the Nautilus that she accepted her father's last offer to captain the ship, and the next day they arrived in a rescue/looting mission.
** Her father's old crew arrive aboard the redesigned Nautilus in a storm of violence, butchering the people who could have given Janni a chance; donning her father's greatcoat and assuming her role as Captain, Jack and Ishmael gleefully remark on how she's ''worse'' than her old man.
** Made even cooler by how all of it is built up by a rewritten version of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eENWTA0bs4 Pirate Jenny.]] Imagine this song ending with a hundred cannons firing.
* Mina's drug trip and battle with Haddo on the astral plane. So off the wall, so many references, and the most colourful scenes ever seen in the series thus far. The fact that it's scored by a reworked 'Sympathy for the Devil' also helps.
* The Hogwarts massacre derails every member of the Harry Potter cast, but a character who is clearly Severus Snape is completely fearless at [[FacingTheBulletsOneLiner facing his death, telling him, "Go ahead, you little shit! You always were a little shit!"]]. Everybody else though is put through the grinder.
** Fans of Ron Weasley are more than a little happy, that Moore made Ron attempt to bravely talk the Antichrist out of killing him and the rest of Hogwarts, with some seeing it as a correction to how the Harry Potter movies made him into a sidekick. And of course restoring the dignity of the mocked working-class sidekick caricature is very much in keeping with Moore's anarchist anti-authoritarian sensibility.
* Film/MaryPoppins [[CurbStompBattle is a badass mother]] [[Film/CoolRunnings who don't take no crap off of nobody]].
* Alan pulls himself together one last time, and shows up in time to save Mina and Orlando from the Anti-Christ, though it results in his death.

!!Nemo spinoff
* Once Janni and Jack are informed that their daughter and son-in-law are being held prisoner in [[Film/TheGreatDictator Hynkel]]'s Film/{{Metropolis}}, they immediately storm into Berlin to free them, [[MamaBear the risks]] [[PapaWolf be damned]]. The two mow through several of the armed forces and even manage to damage Maria before retreating. Even better, they free their son-in-law, Armand, by timing their attack on the interrogation cell where he's being held, striking down his torturer with precision and scaring the shit out of Hynkel.
* Despite knowing that Ayesha is a vicious, immortal warrior who has a greater chance of surviving the battle, Janni does not hesitate to engage her in the ensuing swordfight. And more awesomely, Janni successfully defeats and beheads Ayesha.
* While it's only mentioned in the interviews conducted by Hildy Johnson, Janni recounts how, among other things, she and her crew returned the corpse of Film/KingKong for a proper burial on Skull Island, and successfully took down Franchise/{{Godzilla}} off the waters of Japan.
* Hugo Hercules, [[ProtoSuperhero the original superhero]], is a walking moment of awesome. For starters, he punches out a T-Rex and decides to have it for lunch at Janni's advice. He also killed [[Literature/{{Gladiator}} Hugo Danner]], the man widely considered to be the inspiration for ''Superman'', helped destroy Literature/TheBoysFromBrazil and Literature/TheStepfordWives, and he is heavily implied to be the progenitor of the majority of America's iconic superheroes, thanks to his ReallyGetsAround tendencies and superpowered genetics.

!!Film
* Captain Nemo's fight in Dorian's library. That man is ''deadly'' with a sword.
-->'''Mook:''' [[BringIt Draw your pistol!]]
-->'''Nemo:''' I walk a different path. [''cue CurbstompBattle with a sword versus machine guns'']
* Hyde saving the team and the entire crew of the ''Nautilus'' from Dorian's sabotage.
--> '''Jekyll's reflection:''' Bravo, Edward! Bravo!
* During the fighting in Venice, Mina going full [[SuperForm Vampire Mode]].
-->'''Mina:''' Save your bullets! These men are ''mine!''\
[''Later'']\
'''Sawyer:''' [''Trying to avoid multiple rooftop shooters''] It's an ambush!\
'''Quatermain''': [''points out [[CurbstompBattle her work]]''] Vampire lady has us covered.
* "You broke my heart once. This time you missed."
* Skinner using his invisibility to follow the villains and find out their whole plan.
* Quartermain taking out the assassins sent after him in the club (even if, given TheReveal they may have deliberately sent people who would fail). Especially the part where he cripples the last, fleeing man with a shot after pausing to put on his glasses.
** One of the other club members also deserves a little credit for joining Quartermain in shooting at the assassins and yelling out a warning when one goes behind Quartermain.
* Sawyer's DressingAsTheEnemy introduction.
* Mr. Hyde is the source of some very impressive scenes, but Dr. Jekyll also gets a good ArmorPiercingResponse when Nemo coldly comments on the danger he poses.
--> '''Dr. Jekyll''': I am in control.
--> '''Captain Nemo''': I very much doubt it.
--> '''Dr. Jekyll''': Your talk is all well and good, sir... but your own past is far from laudable.
