* Howard Hughes' court hearing at the end. Some of the quotes (like the one that includes "I will leave this country and never come back -- and I mean it!") come directly from the transcript of the hearing. And during the actual hearing, Hughes got permission to put Brewster on the witness stand after Brewster's conflicts of interest were revealed. Not shown was Hughes' ultimate revenge -- he funded Brewster's primary opponent in the 1952 Senate election, who went on to win the seat.
** Of particular note is when he points out that Hughes Aircraft is being singled out for taking $56 million of taxpayer money when larger companies like Boeing or Lockheed received ''billions'' for other weapons that were never delivered.
* OneSceneWonder Creator/ErrolFlynn starting a fight at a party. He steals a man's chair and the man throws a snowball at him in retaliation. Angry words are exchanged and the man calls him a 'Limey bastard'. Flynn corrects him -- he's a ''Tasmanian'' bastard, thank you very much -- then punches him down. When the man gets up and comes after him he knocks him down again, despite being held back and having another man between them.
* Hughes calling out the Hepburns for talking a big game about socialism when they have a ton of money themselves.
* Hughes in a plane filming a dogfight, and simply pulling out another camera when his zeal for a closeup gets his first one destroyed.
* Hughes' extremely violent plane crash, which he survives and escapes despite his massive injuries (including his ribcage being crushed, pushing his heart to the right side of his chest) and ''being on fire.'' He is found by an off-duty GI, who puts out the fire. After being asked if there was anyone else on the plane, he grabs the man and spits out "I'm Howard Hughes. [[TitleDrop The Aviator.]]"
* Juan tells this to Dietrich just after he nonchalantly boasts to Howard that he will fail in challenging the Senate bill: [[WorthyOpponent "If you let him testify at that hearing, the whole world will see what he's become. They should remember him for what he was."]]
