Riker responds: "I mean to shove it down the Son'a's throats." And he does, leading to an explosion that destroys one Son'a ship and cripples another.

This movie is no exception, as Picard almost instantly turns on Dougherty the instant he finds the holoship, resigns his commission in order to act outside Starfleet regulations, and makes it clear that ''Dougherty'' is the one in trouble. Even when Dougherty threatens to court-martial him if he won't order his crew to stand down, Picard points out that a court-martial would expose Dougherty's intentions with the Ba'ku.
