----
* The Scooby series has been nominated for an Emmy twice, in 1989 for ''WesternAnimation/APupNamedScoobyDoo'' and in 2004 for ''WesternAnimation/WhatsNewScoobyDoo'' (the nod went to Creator/MindyCohn for her voice of Velma). Also the aforementioned feats of Shaggy and Scooby in "Bedlam in the Big Top", ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooAndTheGoblinKing'' and ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooAndTheSamuraiSword'', among others.
* In the crossover episode with ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheBraveAndTheBold'', [[RealityWarper Bat-Mite]] uses his powers to allow Batman, Robin, Joker and Penguin to actually fight. Then he does the same to Shaggy and Scooby. Yes, after over 40 years of running, hiding, and cowering in corners, Shaggy and Scooby actually [[TookALevelInBadass get to kick ass]]. [[CurbStompBattle And they do.]]
* Scooby, every single time he goes all CowardlyLion whenever Shaggy or his friends are in danger.
* Here's one mixed in with FridgeBrilliance: If you ever feel like the villains are lame for being "just" guys with a mask and not real monsters, consider that villains like [[Film/{{Scream}} Ghostface]], [[Franchise/TheTexasChainsawMassacre Leatherface]] and pretty much every one of the murderers from Film/ThePurge are ALSO guys with a mask. Many of the criminals they've fought over their careers [[NotSoHarmless have attacked or harmed the gang and tried to kill them in various ways, not to mention many were criminal masterminds or (implied) murderers]]...''[[BadassNormal and the gang put an end to all of their plans]]''. The Scooby Gang has put so many criminals behind bars during their shows, they may be able to put every detective in fiction, and even some superheroes, to shame!
* Creator/MatthewLillard's spot-on portrayal of Shaggy in the 2002 film, which eventually got him cast as Shaggy's official voice actor, a role he's held since 2010.
* The original series in 1969 was the debut of legendary voice actor Creator/FrankWelker, who was 23 at the time. Over 50 years later, not only has he become one of the most prolific and beloved voice actors of all time, he's ''still'' the voice of Fred to this very day. Only very rarely has anyone else ever played the character, even in parodies. The man is still playing a teenager in his 70s and doesn't sound his age one bit, not to mention having pulled double duty in the franchise's main cast since taking over the role of Scooby himself in 2002.
* Speaking of voice actors, there's something to be said about Creator/OrlandoDrummond, aka the first Brazilian voice of Scooby. He was already in his fifties when the show first aired on Brazil in 1972 and he was cast as Scoob, and continued to reprise the role in '''every.single.version''', live-action films and redubs included, all the way to 2013, only stopping when Warner Br decided to replace the original cast, by which he was in his ''nineties''.
* Any time Shaggy and Scooby pull a fast one on the villain in their classic way, putting on a disguise and an act to fool them. Yes, it's hilarious and unrealistic, but face it: they stop being scared long enough to frequently come in close contact with the ghost, while improvising some sort of act that actually fools the ghost. Sometimes they don't even grab a disguise and they ''still'' fool them (or at least confuse them long enough for it to work).
* Heck, any show where Shaggy or Daphne is in charge. They leave it to Fred and Velma when the two are around, but they are no slouches themselves, and never have been.
* In 1991, Amiga made a video game...about '''Scrappy''' '''going on a quest''' to ''save Shaggy and Scooby from kidnappers!'' The rest of the gang is mentioned, but Scrappy volunteered to go and retrieve them, showing just how far the pup has grown to be relied upon.
** And his super strength is a '''mechanic''' with which you can punch the ENEMIES WITH!
** What makes this so cool is that Scrappy is totally in his element (if the player can properly beat the game).
