!!Garfield
* Garfield has a lot of moments where he manages to outwit lots of humans:
** Out-swindles Al G. Swindler to get him to return Jon his car and house.
** Saves the Earth by convincing an alien that all humans are like Garfield.
** How the Lasagna Kid (Garfield) gets Cactus Jake's job back in "How the West was Lost".
** Garfield saves Gramps' general store by [[EngineeredPublicConfession revealing the greedy owner's intention with his microphone]] in "Supermarket Mania".
** In "Tooth or Dare", Jon is surprised that Garfield manages to get the saber-tooth tiger to surrender and go back to the museum. How does he do it when the S.W.A.T. team and the museum curators can't capture him? By sending Nermal out; as Garfield comments, no other cat can stand his cuteness without going crazy.
** "Binky Gets Cancelled Again!": Garfield getting Binky the Clown's show back on the air. He poses as a caterer and tricks the Buddy Bears into having a heated argument while the cameras roll... over pizza toppings.
--->'''Garfield:''' [[AppleOfDiscord In the history of mankind, no two people have been able to agree on the toppings for pizza.]]
* Jon is mostly a ButtMonkey, but he ''does'' get one up on Garfield in "Moo Cow Mutt." Garfield plays a nasty prank on Odie by making the pup think he is a cow. Jon catches on and gets revenge by hiding the kitchen appliances (including all of the food!) and pretending that he's going to use Odie's status as a "cow-dog" to make a fortune. A horrified Garfield immediately undoes his prank, and Jon gets the last laugh by telling him that he was outtricked.
* In "Clean-Sweep", having enough of abuse from Garfield's prank, Odie manages to remove his collar (that activates the cleaning machine whenever the wearer gets dirty) and places it around Garfield while he was taking a nap. Odie then offers him food, which gets him dirty. Cue to Odie laughing at him. In the end both of them decide to go after the one who bought this. Jon.
* "Clash of the Titans" has the ''ComicBook/XMen'' expies driving away the salesman that was about to milk Jon for all of his money, starting with Curd Man trapping the guy in yogurt.
-->'''Salesman:''' Help! I'm being attacked by yogurt! It's dragging me down to where the fruit is at the bottom!
** An earlier moment in the episode has Garfield thwart an alien invasion by [[BreakingTheFourthWall asking the animator for a pencil and literally erasing them]].
* In "Up a Tree" after Garfield has been stuck up a tree for hours (and firefighters decided to only rescue Nermal instead of him) Jon climbs up to get him and reveals that he's been watching Garfield the whole time. Garfield is understandably pissed, so he climbs down the ladder and knocks it away, leaving Jon stranded, and then he also gets backs at Nermal by making him stand still with the TV antenna.
* In "A Matter of Conscience", Garfield is hounded by a cricket (Ichabod Cricket) that decides to be his conscience, intentionally invoking ''Literature/{{Pinocchio}}'' in the process (even going so far as to give Garfield the book). After Ichabod's attempts to guide Garfield's life repeatedly backfire on Garfield, he returns to the book[[note]]which Ichabod made him stop reading any further, out of fear of [[DisneyOwnsThisTrope Disney coming after them]][[/note]] to check something:
-->'''Garfield''': (thumbs through the book) Let's see... [[{{Foreshadowing}} I just remembered something about this book...]] ''Ah'', here it is. (to Ichabod) Read this.
-->(Ichabod jumps onto the book; Garfield puts it down, and walks away)
-->'''Ichabod''': (reads) "And so Pinocchio looked down at the cricket, and in one deliberate move, the wooden boy-" [[OhCrap (aghast) eh- "]]''[[OhCrap crushed]]'' [[OhCrap the little beast."]] [[AdaptationDeviation (stammers; dumbfounded)]] [[NotHisSled It wasn't like that]] [[{{Disneyfication}} in the movie!]] [[ExplainExplainOhCrap (turns to look at Garfield)]]
-->(cut to Garfield, having returned with a rake raised upward)
-->'''Garfield''': [[ShownTheirWork No, but that's the way it was in the original book...]] ''[[PreAssKickingOneLiner And HERE!]]''
-->'''Ichabod''': [[AintTooProudToBeg (stammers) Garfield, let's talk about this!]] [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere (dodges a swing as he runs away, Garfield chasing after him)]]
* In "The Beast from Beyond," Garfield single-handedly ''saves the world'' from Sidney the Dinosaur, who was planning on brainwashing everyone on Earth into blithering, obedient morons.
* After Garfield [[KickTheDog tricks Nermal into leaving the house by making the kitten think he’s ugly,]] Odie forces the tabby cat to look for Nermal by depriving Garfield of two of his favorite things: Tv and sleeping.
!!U.S.Acres
* In the "Friends are There" intro from the first 2 seasons of the show, Wade is one of the U.S. Acres characters fighting for screentime with Garfield, and he looks ''determined''. Considering this is the same duck who has stage fright and many, many other phobias, this is huge for him, and it happened every week.
* In the end of "Shell Shock Sheldon", when Sheldon defended himself by beating up the fox all by himself, with his bare feet and throwing the fox over a mile across the farm.
* In "An Egg-Citing Story" when Booker and the other chicks get captured by the Weasel, Sheldon thrashes him good and saves them.
* Episode 6, [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Roy]], [[PetTheDog trying to help Wade]], stand up for himself.
* At the end of "Goody-Go-Round" when Wade manages to pull a prank on Roy by give him the hot-flavored gum (which was originally Roy's). What was interesting was [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments Roy was admiting that it wasn't fair that everyone got what they wanted but Wade]] (Roy was holding a pie) but he was cut off, as he ran off screaming with fire and smoke coming out of his beak. Also of note, he dropped the pie, which Wade caught.
-->'''Wade:''' ''(eating the pie)'' Yup, everybody got what they wanted....or what they deserve.
* "Keeping Cool" features Bo as ''the'' definition of TranquilFury. He gets mad at Mort, Wart, and Gort, and asks them to play a game of tug-of-war. Then he switches places with a ''bus''.
* In "Hogcules", Orson finally builds up the courage to face his brothers "in combat". You'd expect it to not go very well. It goes ''exceptionally'' well. Orson knocks down the shed, which falls onto his brothers. They get scared and run off.
* In "The Impractical Joker", Orson firing Roy after Roy makes one fat joke too many at Orson's expense during Roy's song.
* Roy beating up the Weasel for trying to capture his niece Chloe in "Uncle Roy to the Rescue"
* Roy's rant at the end of "Big Bad Buddy Bird" after having to put up with the Buddy Bears' TheComplainerIsAlwaysWrong mindset (and getting a safe dropped on him multiple times) throughout the episode. It's also a vital lesson that it's ''okay'' to disagree with people, especially when they're preaching dangerous messages.
-->'''Roy''': Kids, don't listen to any of this. These bears are dangerous. You should have opinions of your own! You should think and decide and not do what everyone else does! ''(the bears grab him)'' Use your own mind! Don't do what your friends do just because they're doing it, HAVE A BRAIN OF YOUR OWN! ''LET GO OF ME!'' '''''THE GROUP ISN'T ALWAYS RIGHT!'''''
