* The opening, the opening, the opening. It is scary that after the greatest of [[Anime/DigimonAdventure Butterfly]] and [[Anime/DigimonAdventure02 Target ~Akai Shōgeki~]] Kouji Wada could (in the eyes of some fans) top both so easily. The Biggest Dreamer is the perfect children’s anime ThemeTune with a rising tune and compelling lyrics
* Takato casually beats Hirokazu in the Digimon CollectibleCardGame, who even has to ask him how he did
* Takato’s new Digivice absorbs his notes and drawings to make Guilmon real is rather cool (if a little [[AccidentalNightmareFuel spooky]])
* After being pinned down by Lynxmon, Renamon’s [[TheKidWithTheRemoteControl Tamer]] Ruki Card Slashes High Speed Plug-In B. This allows Renamon to FlashStep into the air above Lynxmon before raining down its [[SpreadShot Koyousetsu]], turning its foe into data.
* Takato, lead by his Digivice heads out to encounter Guilmon while [[https://youtu.be/pma8dENs8xA Digimon Tamers No Theme]] triumphantly plays.
* In episode 3 Terriermon gets one for being the first--and so far ''only''--partner Digimon to be the first to evolve, while not being the main hero's partner.
* Rika [[CallingTheOldManOut telling off her mother]] in episode 18 for taking her to the camera test is this as well. To be honest, the latter [[LaserGuidedKarma deserved it]] because she forced it on her in the first place.
-->'''Rumiko''': I hope you're pleased with the way you acted today. I want to talk to you about the camera test.\
'''Rika''': ''(points to herself)'' I don't. All those flashing lights must have...given me a headache.
* When fighting Indramon in the city in episode 19, Takato uses a homemade blue card to digivolve Growlmon to Wargrowlmon. The first thing he does is destroy the giant horn thats been kicking their ass the whole episode and then he blasts Indramon point blank with an Atomic Blaster across the city. The scene can be a considered a Godzilla ShoutOut with Wargrowlmon roaring in victory.
** Kazu gets one for coming up with the blue card idea, realizing that if Guilmon was created through Takato's drawing, a similar feat can happen by just drawing a blue card and giving it to Takato. '''''[[CrazyEnoughToWork It works.]]'''''
* In the dub of episode 26, which, by the way, was named [[Film/BillAndTedsExcellentAdventure Kazu and Kenta's Excellent Adventure]] for added awesome, Jijimon and Babamon sound and act a LOT like Miracle Max and his wife from ''Film/ThePrincessBride''.
* Episode 29, Goliath [[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever Activate!]] Cue CurbStompBattle.
* Rika had plenty of Crowning Moments after she joined the main crew.
** One example? Renamon is losing a battle with Harpymon in episode 12. Rika wants to help Renamon, but she left her cards at home. What does she do? ''Pick up a stick and STAB HARPYMON IN THE BACK!''
** Then there was the time when Renamon was fighting Vajramon. The Ox Deva wanted Renamon to join him and the other Devas, but Rika din't lose faith in her partner. Cue Matrix Digivolution!
** And let's not forget the first time she and Rena biomerged into Sakuyamon. All it takes is a little trust, and a LeapOfFaith...
*** And let's not forget that, during that pivotal moment, her opponent at the time was the '''''[[EldritchAbomination D-Reaper]]!''''' And in addition, they're the first Tamer/Digimon duo to do battle with it ''without'' cards. For reference, Baihumon, one of the Digimon Sovereign, had been pushing the D-Reaper back with all of his might, and it was starting to take a massive toll on his body. Then here comes the Digimon Queen, Biomerging at the perfect moment and driving away the D-Reaper for just that extra little bit longer. Rika and Renamon ''literally'' do God's work!
*** The biomerge sequence is also, undoubtedly, the best and most visually stunning sequence in the whole season (or even the entire franchise for that matter). The full moon, the cherry blossom petals, the overall traditional Japanese aesthetic, all topped off with a unique BGM to fit the theme.
** When the D-Reaper attacked the Real World, it was Rika that repeatedly saved her friends' hides. And that specific D-Reaper agent? Even RYO needed help to defeat it!
** Combining with a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}}, Rika decides to go out of her way to search for Impmon. You know, the Digimon that KILLED LEOMON?! Even after all Impmon's done to her, it shows that Rika still cares about him.
** Finally, the first stage of her CharacterDevelopment. When Renamon is on the verge of losing to Dokugumon, Rika ultimately stands her ground and calls out for her partner. Her compassion allows Renamon to digivolve into Kyubimon for the first time. And it was then that Rika began to thaw out of her cold-hearted personality.
** The 2018 drama CD revealed that Rika grew up to become a freestyle motocross rider. It's the first time a girl in Digimon didn't end up growing up to [[AcceptableFeminineGoals do something stereotypically feminine]], and not only is it awesome, it suits her competitive nature perfectly.
* The battle between [[Anime/DigimonTamers Gallantmon and Beelzemon]] in episode 36. After Guilmon finally came down off his Deadly Upgrade, he and Takato pulled off a miracle and spent the entire next episode throwing down with Beelzemon using attacks powerful enough to level the scenery. The first evolution of Gallantmon could easily count as one of franchise's best moments considering Takato recovered from his fear and he was the first human who merged with a Digimon. Megagargomon vs. Zhuqiaomon qualifies as well.
** Beelzemon vs Gallantmon has one specific scene that stands to mind. Gallantmon (Dukemon) does TheSlowWalk ([[{{Expy}} a la Gohan]] while sounding like a giant mecha) out of (his own) flaming inferno, dons his cape (putting out the fire behind him) and declares that the devas are no match for him as he is charging his attack. No more words needed.
** Hindsight makes the Gallantmon vs. Beelzemon fight even more awesome: this is a battle between ''[[CoolVersusAwesome a Royal Knight and a Demon Lord.]]''
** Guilmon and Terriermon got another moment soon after said battles. When the [[BigBad Big bird]] turned out to be not quite dead, our heroes were completely screwed. The kids were protected only by waning shield while Zhuqiaomon was bearing down on them. Guilmon and Terriermon nodded at each other and then proceeded to "jump out of the shield" to take on a beast that neither of their highest [[EvolutionaryLevels digivolutions]] could kill to save the others.
* Gallantmon Crimson Mode. Base Gallantmon is already impressive, being a Royal Knight whose ''shield'' can emit a WaveMotionGun, but Crimson Mode is a [[RedIsHeroic red-clad]] EleventhHourSuperpower gained by [[FusionDance merging with their own steed]], which gives Gallantmon six angelic wings and ''two {{Energy Weapon}}s'' to fight with. And it proceeds to go to town on the D-Reaper.
** "Do you want to fly, Gallantmon?"
** Specifically, when Gallantmon Crimson Mode punches the most powerful [[TheDragon Agent]] in the stomach and kills it. Bear in mind that the entity that this agent belonged to was feared by the Digital World's version of gods.
*** "WE DO DESERVE TO EXIST! ('''''punch''''') YOU DON'T! ('''''fatality''''')"
** Crimson Mode is even better in the manhwa adaptation. In the anime, once it breaks through the Mother Reaper's last defenses, Takato and Gilmon have to split to get to Juri. In the adaptation, nothing's powerful enough to keep Crimson Mode out[[note]]Acknowledging that he received Sakuyamon's gift of power, since Justimon wasn't in the adaptation[[/note]], well demonstrated when he ''splits the Mother Reaper in two'', bisecting it vertically and snagging Juri safely out of the air.
** Then there's Crimson Mode's appearance in ''Runaway Locomon''. After having enough of [[TheSwarm the Parasimon swarm]], it goes into the digital field and obliterates it with a single Quo Vadis, forcing ''every'' Parasimon still in Japan to disappear.
* Jeri Katou has ''two'' Moments of Awesome in the Orochimon episode (episode 31). First, she tells her Digimon partner [[MegaNeko Leomon]] "Don't worry about me! I can deal with drunkards!" when she's being ''kidnapped'' by Orochimon himself. Later, when her friends come for her and Leomon fights Orochimon, she reveals that she has a ''very'' rare [=LadyDevimon=] card and uses it ''perfectly'' despite this being her first real battle, letting Leomon finish Orochimon.
** One that overlaps with TearJerker is when she goes up to Gallantmon when he's about to kill Beelzemon (as punishment for killing Leomon, ''her partner'') and ''stops'' Gallantmon from doing so, since she doesn't want more Digimon to die and knows that [[IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim nothing will bring Leomon back to life.]].
** Finally snapping out of her HeroicBSOD and standing up to the D-Reaper.
** Heck, just surviving and moving on after all she's been through makes her infinitely awesome in the end.
* Despite the fact that it was the entire reason for him being introduced in the first place, Dobermon sacrificing himself to give the Tamers the ability to Biomerge in the Real World. Also, Alice sticking with him even though she knew how it would end counts.
* Impmon's CMOA is after his HeelFaceTurn, when he runs to help the main characters in the fight against the D-Reaper, armed with nothing but a ''toy gun'' given from his twin Tamers. In episode 48, his sheer determination to help them in order to somewhat atone for what he did allows him to evolve all the way to Beelzemon Blast Mode, and he nearly dies in a desperate attempt to rescue Juri so that he could forgive himself for killing Leomon.
-->'''Beelzemon:''' "What I did... is beyond forgiveness. I don't need anyone to tell me that. No matter what I do, I can't change the past. But what I ''can'' do... is ''save Jeri''! And lemme tell ya, ''no talkin eyeball's gonna stop me!!'' ''[[FinishingMove CORONA]]'' '''''[[WaveMotionGun DESTROYER]]!!'''''"
** The manhwa takes it even further. In the anime, Blast Mode finally defeats the first Pendulum Feet agent by attacking its AchillesPowerCord. In the adaptation, Blast Mode ''shoots the damn ghost in the face'' and vaporizes it.
** Beelzemon beating through the D-Reaper's agents to get to Jeri, culminating in him reaching deep inside and using ''Leomon's'' attack to break through. The moment is utterly ''epic''. Even though it has the heartbreaking, understandable consequence of causing Jeri to freeze up at the memory of Leomon, it signifies that he's reached the apex of his atonement arc.
--->'''Beelzemon:''' "I'M GONNA SAVE YOU JERI, IF IT'S THE LAST THING I FREAKIN' DO!" (...) "FIST! OF! '''THE BEAST KING!!!'''"
* Henry's father Janyu Lee deserves a mention for demonstrating true martial arts in the episode "Boar Wars". He's so '''fast''' most missed [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QlMSseG82I&feature=player_detailpage#t=460s it]]. Trully a hidden BadassBookworm, with a labcoat to match!
* Guilmon gets a few moments:
** In the 3rd episode seeing his fights with Renamon. He is entirely unaffected by Renamon's Diamond Storm, just standing there ignoring it. Later episodes show Renamon defeating Champion level Digimon with the same attack.
** His fight with [=IceDevimon=] definitely qualifies. After Kyubimon suffers a defeat, Guilmon gets a boost from Takato's Modify cards, and slams [=IceDevimon=]'s head into the ceiling then blowing him to pieces with Pyro Sphere. The victory is even sweeter seeing [=IceDevimon's=] arm hit the ground before dissapearing.
* Wargrowlmon defeating Vikaralamon.
** Once Takato realizes Guilmon will always be the same regardless of how powerful he becomes, Takato begins channelling power to Wargrowlmon. Wargrowlmon breaks free from the power orb holding him down the whole episode and charges Vikaralamon, tearing through another power orb in the process. He grabs Vikaralamon by the tusks and begins pushing him back, a pig larger than all the buildings around him. Then after the other Tamers Digimon perform some clean up control, he flips Vikaralamon over and finishes him off with Atomic Blaster.
* Zhuqiaomon gets one when he's the only Digimon seen in the Digital World fighting the D-Reaper days after the Tamers left the place.
** There were originally dozens of Mega level Digimon ready to fight the D-Reaper which includes replicas of {{Big Bad}}s from previous seasons Metalseadramon, Machinedramon and a few Diaboromon. None of them were seen after that.
* Grani on a constant basis.
** When he shows up in the Real World and him and Gallantmon kick the D-reaper's ass their first time.
** Yuggoth Blaster!
** Finally, Grani's DyingMomentOfAwesome. You know the one.
* Calumon:
** Shining Digivolution!
** His YouAreNotAlone moment with Jeri in which he actually talks her out of her HeroicBSOD that she's been having for the past several episodes! What makes it extra awesome? He pretty much talked Jeri out of ''committing suicide!''
* A BigGuyLittleGuy moment when Impmon and Calumon team up to save Jeri in episode 46. Calumon rushes to find Jeri while Beelzemon acts as TheBigGuy against the D-reaper agents in their tag team.
* The 3 Tamers bio-merging to Mega level for the first time in the Real World. They're able to put aside their worries to fight for a cause and kick some D-reaper butt.
* Takato and Guilmon's last bio-merge digivolution to Gallantmon before setting out to the final battle with the D-reaper. He jumps on Grani and gives a final goodbye to his parents not to worry. Even his parents think he looks awesome.
* The monster makers final plan to defeat the D-reaper. To devolve the D-reaper they installed Juggernaut into Terriermon, and by extension, Megagargomon, to use in the D-Reaper's weak spot. But in order for Megagargomon to pull it off, he had to create a spin faster than the freaking speed of light! He does...
* Speaking of Terriermon, he performs a CMOA when he goes from being at death's door during his fight against Zhuqiaomon to [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu a knock out victory]] after Biomerge Digivolving with Henry/Jenrya, all while [[DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu making smartass insults to his opponent]].
-->'''Zhuqiaomon:''' You Dare Insult ME!?\
'''Megagargomon:''' Yeah! [[BadassBoast And we'll insult you again!]]
* Dukemon in the Japanese version goes from being an adorable goofball as Guilmon to a HotBlooded, noble warrior with a deep and commanding voice. This characterization made his scenes all the more impressive, especially the Beelzebumon fight.
** This is especially evident as Guilmon and his evolutions are voiced by none other than Creator/MasakoNozawa, the Japanese voice actress of [[Franchise/DragonBall Goku and his sons]]. While Guilmon first sounds like a combination of child Goten and Gohan, as he evolves more and more he sounds like adult Goku, culminating in Dukemon where he sounds almost exactly like Goku as a Super Saiyan.
* Everyone shout it with me now: '''EVOLUTION!!'''
** Or '''MATRIX EVOLUTION!!'''
** Or pretty much whenever the "Slash" or "EVO" theme songs start playing.
** Or when "One Vision" plays after the Tamer and his/her partner Digimon finished their FusionDance into their Final forms. '''EPIC''' does not do it justice.
** The dub shouldn't be underestimated, either: '''BIOMERGE DIGIVOLUTION!!'''
* Marineangemon, despite being possibly the tiniest and cutest Mega Digimon ever, manages to scare an EldritchAbomination that later goes toe-to-toe with Gallantmon Crimson Mode and pull off a BigDamnHeroes at the same time.
* Two words from Episode 48: '''''"DIGIMODIFY! YAY!"''''' [[note]]Suzie gets '''''her''''' chance to perform a Digimodify card swipe, to help Antylamon![[/note]] Is it goofy as heck? Yes. Is it cute? Yes. Is it funny? Sort of. Is it awesome? HELL YEAH.
* Episodes 40 and 41 ("Janyu's Ark" and "Homeward Bound"); If it weren't for the fact that this was a weekly series, one could mistake these two episodes as part of a major anime movie. There is one simple goal for the Tamers that is set in the viewers' minds: '''''GET HOME, FOR THERE IS NO SECOND CHANCE'''''. And that's not including the many natural story developments within those two episodes, and natural obstacles to overcome:
** The lead-up to what is sure to be a horrific war (no, not just a battle, a '''''WAR''''') in the Digital World, against the D-Reaper, with Calumon releasing his latent power in the equivalent of all Digimon being recruited and suited up for it! (We don't see the start of the battles, but you can just feel the tension in the air!)
** Jeri still in pain from Leomon's Death (no back-to-status-quo here!), and a seeming self-suppression of her emotions.
** The tense 40 minute (in-show) countdown to the arrival of, and one singular chance of boarding, the Ark.
** The D-Reaper being aware and intelligent enough to crash Hypnos' supercomputer to prevent the Tamers from returning.
** Janyu and the Monster Makers/Wild Bunch showing that they are extremely intuitive (without being perfect characters themselves) and '''''more'''''-than-capable of adapting to problems in their line of work, by outsourcing individual extra calculations (presumably simplified for average computer users) that they could not feasibly do themselves in this time-critical situation, tied into the network of millions of computer users all over the planet (a precursor to our cloud computing today!), rather than depending on the now-trashed Hypnos main computer core, to generate the transit system for the Ark. It's so effective that Yamaki calms down enough to put his Zippo lighter [[note]]which he's been seen fidgeting with throughout the series, especially in his first appearances[[/note]] on one of the office desks and walk away for a bit.
** Rika and Renamon needing to return for Impmon as a humanitarian gesture, '''''as''''' the countdown to the arrival of the Ark is continuing!
** The tense moments of the Ark starting to leave without Takato and Rika, Renamon, and Impmon, with '''''everyone''''' trying to get Takato on-board while hanging from the vehicle in mid-air!
** Wait, the Ark is a self-aware and intelligent being too, and it wants to help ''all'' of the Tamers get home?!
** The fact that we have this huge crowd of people (the parents, Hypnos team, and Monster Makers/Wild Bunch), vehicles, and officials heading to the emergence point of the Ark gives the Tamers' return so much appropriate weight, almost like the finale to a major blockbuster motion picture.
