Backstage, he hears the trio reuniting and Ginny saying it's time for her to join the fight, and...apologizes. He says he thinks Harry is cool and will swallow his pride to defend Hogwarts.

16	* It's the DarkestHour. Voldemort has seemingly killed Harry, and the Hogwarts survivors are trapped in the Room of Requirement. Who steps up to the plate? Why, Ronald Weasley! He says that Harry would do the same for them, telling them that they have to fight. When everyone is still injured from the battle, tired and despairing, he tells them that Harry would never give up. They can't either. The first step is to barricade the door, get some snacks, and have wands at the ready.

Sirius' inspirational speech to James over what being a Gryffindor means to him and James' dramatic final statements regarding why the aspiration to be brave is what makes Gryffindor the best house are actually pretty stirring whether you agree with their points or not.
