On the villains' side, we have a SpacePirate who auctions off entire cities and has no problems with beating the crap out of her daughter and an entire ''species'' that loves nothing more than taking worthless crap and stealing it anyway, and are perfectly okay with endangering an entire town and starting a wild goose chase to manipulate a young girl's feelings. And then destroy her worthless item afterwards.

Armed with a heart that will grow back no matter how many times it's taken from her, she confronts him, confesses her love, and hits him with a CareBearStare that makes him fall in love with her and come back to the good guys, thus vindicating the first love that the BigBad had dismissed as worthless.

And especially so, since he and his wife go through the same thing.
