Iron Kid (known as Eon Kid in English-speaking countries) is a South Korean-Spanish CGI animated television series. It's set in an AfterTheEnd FarEast world, where a boy named Marty finds an AncestralWeapon, the Fist of Eon, which adheres to is arm and grants him the power of becoming the Iron Kid. Along a diverse array of companions, he will face the forces of the evil General in a war for the fate of the world.

----
!!Iron Kid provides examples of:

%% * ActionGirl: Violeta, although not usually, as her main task is intelligence and espionage.
* AfterTheEnd: The world of the series, in which the Robot War (and probably some wars more before that one) has devastated society.
%% * AllCGICartoon
%% * AncestralWeapon: The Gigantor, which is actually TheLastOfHisKind.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: It's never clear whether CDF footsoldiers are androids or armored men.
%% * Animesque: The show visual style is clearly inspired by Japanese animation.
%% * ArmCannon: Magnum has two.
* ArmorIsUseless: CDF soldiers tend to die rather easily, despite their armored-looking suits.
* ArtificialLimbs: Chief Gibson lost an arm in the Robot War and had it replaced by an artificial one.
* AutomaticCrossbows: Khan has some high-tech crossbows which can unload a MacrossMissileMassacre.
* AwardBaitSong: The original Korean version of the show has Come Back by May and Forever which is exclusive to the show’s soundtrack album released exclusively to South Korea. The Japanese dub has the ending theme Believe Yourself by Yoonji.
%% * BadassArmy: The General's forces. If not for the heroes, mankind would be very screwed.
%% * BadassCape: Gaff's red cape.
* BadassLongcoat: Steeljaw Jack wears one, which gives him the look of an old-fashioned noir detective.
* BadassNormal: Master Yang can kick some ass despite being a diminutive old man, even against super-powered androids. Also Orange Mama is an old lady you would not want to mess with.
%% * BarrierWarrior: The General's speciality. Violeta can generate DeflectorShields too.
* BashBrothers: Most of the main cast has to fight back-to-back with someone in several occasions.
* BFG: Sgt. Camo uses a pair of bazookas to try to take down the Gigantor.
* BigBad: Initially Khan starts as the baddie of the show, later becoming TheDragon to the General, but it obvious that Chen is the one who pulls the strings.
%% * BigBadWannabe: Duke Von Rhymer.
* BloodlessCarnage: Justified because most characters are robots.
* BlowYouAway: The Four Invincible Lords and Eiger can create storms.
%% * BountyHunter: Steeljaw Jack's main occupation.
%% * BridgeBunny: Kelly.
* CallingYourAttacks: Magnum has "Tempest Giga Cannon", Gaff "Dragon's Sword", Shadow "Shadow Cyclone" and Iron Kid "Comet Punch", among others.
%% * CantCatchUp: The rest of the team around Marty.
* CoolBigSis: While they aren't related (given how one of them is human and the other is a robot), [=CDF=] spy Violet acts as a tutor and surrogate sister for Ally.
* DanceBattler: Shadow's hand-to-hand fighting style resembles UsefulNotes/Capoeira with some breakdance moves thrown in.
%% * CarFu: Marty does some impressive one with a jeep while fleeing away with Ally.
* CarryABigStick: Cloud fights with a kanabo.
* ChildSoldiers: Conversed by Gibson, which muses war is not for little children.
* CollapsibleHelmet: Violeta encases her face in a collapsible mask when fighting, presumably in order to protect her delicate facial components.
* CombatTentacles: Shadow's main weapons are black chain-like tentacles that extend from his back. They are pretty much multi-purpose.
* ConservationOfNinjutsu: Zig-zagged with the Four Invincible Lords. Shadow is able to succesfully fend them off as a team capitalizing on his agility and the environment, but later he and Magnum get their asses kicked thoroughly by only one of them when they try to take him down.
%% * CoolBigSis: Violeta becomes one towards Ally.
* CoolShades: Gibson's eyes are never seen due to his perennial shades.
* CoolSword[=/=]KatanasAreJustBetter: Gaff's dragon sword. It can cut through robot shells with ease, can be used to perform awesome spinning techniques, and last but not least, looks badass.
%% * CorruptCorporateExecutive: Duke Von Rhymer.
%% * Cyberpunk: Albeit an inusually LighterAndSofter one.
%% * Cyborg: Somewhat surprisingly, there is only one in the series, and is the BigBad.
* DaChief: The leader of the paramilitary law enforcement [=CDF=] organization, Chief Gibson, is a stern, gravelly-vocied man with CoolShades and a white shirt.
%% * DarkActionGirl: Black Beauty and Wind.
%% * DeadpanSnarker: Buttons.
%% * DoppelgangerSpin: Black Beauty's hologram clones, which are clearly a reminiscence of the classic ninja clone technique.
%% * TheDragon: Khan to the General.
%% * DrillTank: Tremo and his squad have this alternate form.
* DubNameChange:
** "Iron Kid" to "Eon Kid".
** Master Yang to Master Zhang.
** In the Spanish dub, Steeljaw Jack is changed to Jack Acero (literally, "Jack Steele". Unrelated to that other Steele, by the way.).
* TheDreaded: The sole name of the General is enough to bring echoes of the Robot War and the menace it posed.
%% * EliteMooks: The Centaurs. Even a full-powered Marty has trouble with them.
* EnergyWeapon: Wind uses two energy whips able to cut through objects.
* FacialMarkings: Camo has red stripes going down under his eyes.
* FamilialFoe: In his first attempt at world domination, the General was defeated by Marty's ancestor Eon. In the generations since, his followers have been killing Eon's descendants so that they can't face the general with Eon's AncestralWeapon. Marty, the last known surviving descendant, gets his hands on that weapon and uses it to face the General upon his return.
%% * FauxAffablyEvil: Let's Steeljaw Jack take off his coat...
* FightingYourFriend: In episode 18, "Out Of Control", when Marty loses control of the Fist's power due to his own roiling emotions, he goes through a good number of CDF troopers and EliteMooks, showcasing his relative badassery to them, as well as briefly tangling with (and overwhelming) Violeta, then being taken down by Gaff taking a heavy (and severely injuring) hit in order to use a pressure point attack he'd successfully used previously against Marty. This serves the dual narrative purpose of showcasing Marty's badassery, as well as temporarily removing Gaff from the equation so Marty would have to rely on Shadow alone for protection, and face the risk of being AloneWithThePsycho.
%% * FourIsDeath: The Four Invincible Lords: Lightning, Rain, Wind, and Cloud.
* FragileSpeedster: Shadow is tremendously agile, but his armor and frame are light, and thus his defense is solely based around dodging. Same with Black Beauty, who is a ninja robot.
%% * GlowingEyesOfDoom: Shadow's eyes change from green to orange when his evil programming surfaces.
* GodzillaThreshold: The CDF'S decision to deploy Shadow to protect Marty in his way to the snow temple is a desperate move in many ways: not only because he has proved to be mentally unstable and could turn against them in any moment, but also because the mission is not even in Shadow's actual field of expertise - he specializes in black ops and covert operations, yet the task he is entrusted with takes place in open field. He is only deployed because, with Magnum engaged in another mission, Shadow is the most powerful fighter they have left.
%% * GoodScarsEvilScars: Scar has an evil one under his eye.
* GreatOffScreenWar: The war where Marty's ancestor fought the General is constantly mentioned even before the General's return becomes more likely. Society is still struggling to recover from it during the main series and many robots combatants from both sides are still around.
%% * HandBlast: One of the Iron Kid attacks.
* HighlyVisibleNinja:
** Despite being a ninja, Scar is huge, bulky and armored in green, and uses two giant axes to ravage his way through the battlefield. It can be argued that he doesn't need as much stealth as a conventional ninja, of course.
** Averted with Black Beauty, who is slender and armored in black as it would be expected.
* AnIcePerson: Eiger can produce ice and frozen winds from his body.
%% * ImpliedLoveInterest: Marty and Ally.
* InformedAbility: Shadow is mentioned to have 108 weapons in his body. He shows many, but definitely not as many.
%% * KatanasAreJustBetter: Gaff's sword.
* KickChick: Violeta's fighting style resembles UsefulNotes/Taekwondo, with plenty of aerial spinning kicks.
%% * KillerRobot: The General.
* LightningBruiser: Magnum. Heavy armor, heavy guns and great speed; although he is not as nimble as Shadow, he is probably faster in lineal movement thanks to his shoulder thrusters, and his firepower is such that he can trip over a Gigantor single-handedly.
* LightIsNotGood: Played straight with Shadow, but only in the BackStory. He started out as a dangerous robot criminal with a white paint job, only to become a heroic white-painted robot after being reprogramed.
%% * LostSuperweapon: The Gigantor.
%% * MacrossMissileMassacre: Khan, Magnum and the Gigantor all use spam missile techniques in one form or another.
%% * MadScientist: Dr. Chen.
* MarketBasedTitle: Known as Eon Kid in the English-speaking world.
%% * MasterSwordsman: Gaff.
%% * MeaningfulName: Almost every robot character's name fits their qualities.
* MenOfSherwood: A few short scenes and mentions in the later episodes reveal that the AmbiguouslyHuman [=CDF=] defense troopers are in a running battle against the gigantors and are bravely and efficiently delaying them without taking losses (although Chief Gibson doubts this will last unless Marty intervenes).
* MightyGlacier: Tremo in his robot form is slow and heavy, but he is incredibly strong, and tough enough to stop the mighty Centaurs.
* MiniatureSeniorCitizens: Master Yang is even shorter than Marty.
* MotorMouth: Buttons is quite chatty. The theme song describes him by saying he talks "all day long."
* NobleDemon: Khan hates the Gigantors, as he fought them in the past and knows the kind of dangerous superweapons they are, and also has a sense of honor and disapproves underhanded warfare methods, unlike Chen and the very General.
%% * NonHumanSidekick: Buttons.
* NukeEm: The CDF tris this against the Gigantor using the White Eagles, but it fails.
* OlderIsBetter: Pre-War robots like The General and his forces are ridiculously powerful compared to almost all the new generation ones. If weren't by Marty and his ancient Fist, the CDF would have the struggle hopelessly lost.
* OldRetainer: Gaff has served Marty's family for 130 years, although he's less prim and decrepit than most examples of the trope due to being a robot bodyguard.
* OneManArmy: Shadow massacred twenty units sent to hunt him down; only Magnum's personal intervention could got him captured.
%%** Magnum is also an example.
%% * PlayingWithFire: Lightning.
%% * PowerFist: Yes.
%% * PraetorianGuard: The Four Invincible Lords.
%% * PuppyLove: Marty and Ally, although it is not clear if they are LikeBrotherAndSister or certainly a couple.
* PlotMandatedFriendshipFailure: Happens a few times in the show.
** The first time is in the second episode when Ally walks away slowly back to the Iron Tower with Marty feeling concerned. They later reconcile.
** The next time is when after Marty finishes training, he and Gaff get into an argument about saving Ally before Master Zhang lets him go to the Iron Tower to save her.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Marty delivers one to the General during the final battle about how he is destroying everyone’s lives.
* TheQuietOne: Shadow doesn't talk very much.
%% * QuirkyMinibossSquad: The Bullybots.
%% * ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Chief Gibson.
* RecruitingTheCriminal: Shadow is a former delinquent reprogrammed by the CDF. They actually might have built him in first place, but it is never stated.
%% * RedshirtArmy: The CDF soldiers, except Camo.
%% * RidiculouslyHumanRobots: Well, duh.
%% * RobotBuddy
%% * SamuraiCowboy
%% * ShieldBash: Rain's main offensive.
* SinisterShades: Dr. Chen wears red goggles, although he is shown without them in a CDF archive image.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Straight. Violeta is the only female in the FiveManBand, and Wind is the only one in the Four Invincible Lords.
* SplitPersonality: Shadow is reprogrammed to serve the CDF, but he keeps some remnants from his former mind and sometimes forgets which side he is on.
%% * StateSec: The CDF or Central Defence Force.
%% * StealthExpert: Black Beauty and Shadow.
%% * TheStoic: Gibson.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Magnum openly distrusts Shadow, and the latter dislikes him in return, but they are forced to work together.
-->Magnum: He almost finishes you, mate.
-->Shadow: I have not asked you for help.
-->Magnum: [sternly] Shadow, we both are on the same side now.
-->Shadow: Indeed... And it is the losing side.
* ThisIsADrill: Tremo and his squad have drills as their main weapons, and can use them to cave his way through the terrain.
* UndyingLoyalty: Khan to the General, until he realize his goal will cause many casualties, forcing him to side with the heroes. As he's being tortured by the General for betraying him, Khan pleads for his master not to go through with his conquest.
%% * SuperpoweredEvilSide: Evil Shadow is able to kick down Magnum, Gaff and Marty.
* WalkingArmory: Shadow has 108 weapons built into his robot body.
* WhiteMaskOfDoom: Shadow has one, which is technically his face, and is noted by Buttons as "alien-looking".
%% * WorldOfBadass
* WrestlerInAllOfUs: Inevitable in a martial arts themed cartoon. During their fight, Rain gives Shadow a perfect picture spinning side slam to pin him to the ground. He also throws him away with a chokeslam.
%% * Wuxia
* YellowPeril: Dr. Chen's attire and hair makes him look like a cyberpunk-style mandarin.
